September Bird OC Challenge

Hi everyone! I'd like to thank everyone who participated in this month's bird OC challenge with characters based off the Resplendent Quetzal. As you can see, we've got a huge variety of entries and I'm so pleased everybody had fun with this.

Here’s my entry for @far-side-skies Oc bird Challenge! Meet Quezal Machrus.

She was originally from the Coatl tribe, where it's people had the ability to transform into feathered snakes, a said to be blessing from their god, but in a raid from Cyclonia, she lost her parent's and ended up getting adopted by a Talon who took pity on her.

She was raised on Cyclonia for six years until the whole disagreement and "wavering loyalties" of the royal family (which is too long to explain in this post) and she moved to Terra Vortis.

She becomes a skilled warrior, training hard to protect her new home, doing her best to help try to make peace treaties with some of the other Terras.

Quezal becomes a Commander at eighteen and leads her best friend Cherry's group of warriors well. She is a strict leader, always making sure there's no bullshit and everyone's working to their full potential, but is also a kind and understanding one, never pushing anyone too hard and listening to her soldiers problems.

While she can use her snake form at anytime she wants, she chooses not to. Most people don't know about it, and deep down she fears what they will think. She also wants to fight fair. So she will only use it for a last resort.

She hates lying, is a bit impatient, loves sweets, comes off as intimidating, because she is tall and ripped, but on the inside she's a gentle sweetheart that gets easily embarrassed when it comes to romance.

Sometimes I get bored, and when I get bored I go play with the Mythaura beast creator, cause I’m so excited for this game. 

So meet my favorite OC family as Mythaura beasts! Matau (Hippogriff) and Katla (Kirin) are Lewa’s biological parents, and TK’s adoptive ones (the Quezal’s). Jaller (Dragon) is TK’s boyfriend, and Katla’s top student.

Their a funny family, but a good one. I love them so much.

Chantilly!! Current Lord of the Ezzocenya as well as husband to Empress Quezal though they weren’t always that!

I have the headcanon that each Troupe Master is a separate being within a continuous line of descendants. Chantilly used to be a Grimm, having left Pharloom from whence he grew up as a Grimmchild scarred by the Bell Cult.

They meet Quezal in the Sarjo desert, beginning the Ritual with her as their summoner. Yet even with an unorthodox approach to it, Chantilly fulfills their duties and burns as fuel for the Nightmare Heart.

But that is not the end of their story :3

Introducing another OC of mine as I rework ref sheets, his name is Fuego!

Half-wyrm and half-Nightmarekin is a pretty dangerous combination. Luckily for everyone he just wants to chew on rocks and be a mama’s boy.

Firstborn son of the Lord and Empress of the Ezzocenya though he wasn’t born a Prince! He spent a majority of his childhood with the nomadic group of Scorpions in the Sarjo Desert.

He enjoys traveling around and meeting new people and has a penchant for mischief.
