#November 5th destiel anniversary celebration/ despair

On my November 5th, I took a drive to Cockle Bay. The tide was out and the sky was sympathetically in despair.

I wore my anti-possession scarf and my Cas tie charm on my necklace. I lit some candles to manifest good vibes for this weekend’s con and celebrations, and watched 15x18 under a tree. It was cathartic in a way I didn’t quite understand (even if the mothers with their kids on the nearby playground were looking at me like I’d lost my mind).

I listened to my destiel derangement syndrome playlist in my car and contemplated how much this all means. Not just to me, but to so many people. People who need better representation. People who need to feel loved. People who expect better.

And maybe my candles will work, maybe they won’t. Maybe it’s just a pipe dream that we will ever truly win. But despite everything that has happened since, despite the erasure and censoring that continues to happen, Supernatural’s 325th episode was a monumental occasion that we must always celebrate and never forget.

There are too many subtleties in the episode for cast and crew to have not intended us to feel this deeply. I refuse to believe that anyone who was physically on set the day the confession was filmed is actively or willingly trying to repress or deny the emotion. There will always be people trying to silence us; we just have to be louder than them.

It is now the afternoon of November 6th for me. The sky has cleared, and I am hopeful. I’m hopeful that we will continue to make small wins and have our voices heard. I’m hopeful that we will continue to band together in this community we have found through the love of two beautiful idiots and their love for each other.

To Dean and Castiel Winchester! Wherever they are, I know they are together and happy! 💚💙

DESTIEL MONTH 2021 - INTEREST CHECK!!

Do you remember the awe and excitement we all felt on the 5th of November when the secret of Castiel's true happiness was revealed?

November 2021 will mark the first anniversary of 15.18 DESPAIR and what would be a better way to celebrate than to claim November as DESTIEL MONTH!?

The plan is to release 30 (or more) prompts in September that will be used to inspire artwork, fanfics and content of any kind to be posted each day of November. This event is free and requires no pre-qualifications to participate. The point is to have fun and enjoy Destiel in all of its beauty.

hello, im new baby heller <3

So; a little log of an update 💙💚

After witnessing the supernatural media phenomenon that was 5th of November 2020, i thought to myself, you know what? i will try and give this show a go. 

Before this, i have had the privilege of reading Twist and Shout (yes. i know.) so i went into it half aware who dean and cas were.

And hence, with the help of my two trusted veteran heller friends @camphipp​​ (who expertly curated episodes for me to skim without missing any of the necessary action) and @athene-noctua08​ (who sent me tumblr posts relevant to the seasons id have just watched, to keep me in the loop) i started to delve into the show from December 1st 2020. 

And boy was it a journey.

Three months of continuously watching at least 3 - 4 episodes every day, with scene-by-scene analysis through relentless screenshots and two hour discussions with my friends after each season, and dodging tumblr, twitter, youtube and pinterest spoilers to preserve my viewing experience, i finally finished the whole series on 5th of March 2021, the 4th monthly anniversary of Despair. and no i did not watch 15x19 or 15x20, they dont exist i believe.

I dont even have the right words to explain what an experience the whole thing has been. 

‘Unforgettable’ is one i can start with. 

During this three-month project (yes i have to call it a Project for all the effort that went into it from my two friends sides, seriously) i have watched my fav characters develop, grow and flourish, be mistreated and misunderstood and misinterpreted, ive celebrated deans bday, destiels first valentines day and had the opportunity to witness the destiel wedding phenomenon on twt (filtered for spoilers ofcourse)

In a way, my two friends have revisited the series with me and im told the whole journey helped bring, if not a lot, a little closure from the way the series ended. 

Its quite a ride to be in s16 :D 

In January’21, midst my spn marathon, these two chaotic gremlin friends of mine gifted me a new drawing tablet (a beautiful Kamvas13) for my birthday and i haven't stopped sobbing since. i have made numerous test-drive doodles of dean and cas as i watched episodes, because i am a weak soul with unhinged gremlin energy myself. i will post those as soon as ive caught up on some work (i forgot i had a life??oops??)

TLDR; i watched spn and i am officially destiel and johnlock trash who cannot stop drawing both.
