Carnaval de Barranquilla Colombia (1965)
Sonolux A few days ago I received from our friend from Spain Ramon Noriega Puente a carnaval LP from the Carnaval '65, but this one is taking place in the city of Barranquilla in Colombia. I must confess that I have had no idea that such a manifestation existed at all, but my ignorance rapidly decreased after having enough common sense to consult Wikipedia: "Carnaval de Barranquilla - Colombia's most important folklore celebration, and is the biggest carnival in the world behind The Rio de Janeiro's Carnival. The carnival has traditions that date back to the 19th century." Well, here is the opportunity to compare the two biggest carnivals in the world (by the way, more Brazilian carnaval music is in the package which is transferred to my PC as I write). Enjoy the comparison by enjoying: A1. Cumbia instrumental (Aníbal Velásquez) Aníbal Velásquez y Su Conjunto A2. El chinito Carrelo (José Velásquez) José Velásquez con Aníbal Velásquez y Su Conjunto A3. La cremallera (Nicolás Ortiz) Pepe Molina con Rosendo Martinez y Su Conjunto A4. Muñeca e´burro (Carlos Román) Morgan Blanco y Su Conjunto A5. Mar azul (Nono Narváez) Nono Narváez con Los Ñeros A6. Pa´que veas (Cristobal Pérez) Cristobal Pérez y Su Conjunto B1. La negra Celina (Cristobal Pérez) Cristobal Pérez y Su Conjunto B2. Desesperada (Rosendo Martinez) Pepe Molina con Rosendo Martinez y Su Conjunto B3. El botao (José Velásquez) José Velásquez con Aníbal Velásquez y Su Conjunto B4. Miradas brujas (Ismael del Valle) Alberto Pacheco y Su Conjunto B5. Antioqueñita (José Velásquez) José Velásquez con Aníbal Velásquez y Su Conjunto B6. Las solteronas (Nono Narváez) Nono Narváez con Los Ñeros CARNAVAL OR CARNAVAL: The link to the complete album was removed as Depositfiles deleted it from server. Uploading individual tracks was the only way to identify the song and performer protected by the DMCA Sturmtruppeninterneteinsatzdivision. It is Cristobal Pérez y Su Conjunto (track B!) The only possibility to download the other tracks is one by one. To do it, click on the titles in red. Arbeit macht frei! Créditos: Ramón Noriega Puente
