The way ROTB made the apparent distrust in humans Optimus had a defining feature of his character arc in this movie was interesting and I’m so glad they did that. The trust he places in them in the original Bayverse movies (a technical connection in continuity) and eventual betrayal from them in AoE is so much more vivid and tragic. His trust is no longer inherent, it’s earned. They earned his trust, and they used it against him. Do you think he blamed himself even more now? Cause maybe none of this would have happened if he continued to be wary of them in the first place.

the obsession with making nico's feelings for percy seem like nothing more than just a celebrity crush is fucking stupid and honestly a bit of an insult both to nico and anybody who has ever repressed their feelings only to finally admit them and be immediately brushed off

honestly, nico was a gay kid who grew up in the 1930s and 40s. basically his whole arc from hoh onward was about him starting to accept himself as a queer person and with that he has to accept that YES he is romantically attracted to men. i get there are late bloomers out there but nico having a crush on percy as a kid and then subsequently falling in love with him around 13ish is not a stretch. like at all. it's honestly just fucking stupid to look at that whoooollllleeee storyline and be like "pfft it was never that deep" when it WAS. as someone who grew up gay in an area where i wasn't accepted by anybody besides close friends and a few family members i have to say having my feelings about my queerness brushed off as nothing more than just a "celebrity crush" was one of my greatest fears besides the obvious physical backlash it could cause. the fandom AND rick just deciding it was "never that deep" was one of the worst possible decisions ever made about nico's character

#kelseethe #all the biting side remarks about how annoying and not personable Jason is and how he’s so shallow #god. Kory saying that Jason never grew or learned to be part of their family #if Dick or anybody else put like. 22% of the amount of faith and care Dick put into Rachel in ss1-2 into Jason. he’d be like. fine lol.#every time somebody says he was just too much trouble I smh #it really seemed like a cycle of other people keeping things from him/not trusting him #then everyone blowing his mistakes way out of proportion #and when someone else fucks up or screws him over and he gets upset/leaves #nobody cares to find him again and make things right the way they did with anyone else. like everyone just forgets #like. After Rose met up with the titans and made amends she could’ve dropped by with Jason and at least tried to talk things through #it really didn’t take much for Jason to warm up to her so quickly #plus they put so little emphasis/meaning/significance into his death #that everything that happened to him. everything everyone did/said to him is far more depressing than the fact that he died #pls they also made him red hood like 0.04 seconds after he died and came back #I’m currently about half way through ss3 and like. they’re massacring him me thinks

can't tell if i'm like... starting to dislike these girls because im pmsing and that's pretty typical for me to suddenly not like certain people, or if it's genuinely because they've been giving me weird fucking vibes and did smth i think was shitty :/

#they left one dude in the club blackout drunk bc he said he didnt want to leave yet #and his phone died and he slept in the street. woke up with no memory of what happened #and a bachelorette party at the club had ripped his shirt off in shreds apparently #and its like. yeah ik those girls that left him aren't responsible for him that's not their job but like. he couldnt b responsible for hims #--himself in that state #we're in a foreign country and he was visibly fucking blackout wasted #and they left him there by himself #and then in the morning when it was like oh fuck we dont know where jake is? they were insistent that we didnt tell the profs and would #instead wait FOUR HOURS for him to contact us (WTF) before going to the spanish police Ourselves #like what the fuck do you think WE can accomplish??#whatever it turned out okay (or as ok as it could be) bc he managed to buy a charger and picked up when i tried calling again within that 1 #hour that we discovered he never made it to his hotel that night #so like. it was fine we didnt need to get the professors or cops involved and nobody had to get sent back home to the US #but like. the fact that they STILL are treating it like no big deal is really giving me rancid vibes #he could have been robbed or assaulted or kidnapped or killed. and what would we have done #like. idk. it seems like theyre just trying to sweep it under the rug bc it was THEM who saw him last #it was THEM who abandoned him while he was in no state to be on his own #and it's especially jarring bc some of those girls i'd considered to be really great people that i really liked!!#and then for one of them especially to be LAUGHING when jake was telling her in person what had happened #like zero concern whatsoever #and its so offputting like... genuinely was this no issue in your eyes.#and it's scary bc it really is a double standard bc if this was a girl then everyone would have been flipping the fuck out #the profs and cops would be called ASAP even if it meant that people got sent home early from the study abroad. bc safety is more important #but bc 'hes a grown man he can handle himself' nobody was in any sort of rush to try and make sure he was okay #its just. i dont feel like i can trust half of them anymore when that was how they reacted to the situation #and when one girl today got lowkey pissed at me for being like yeah that was scary how jake was left all alone and slept in the streets #she was like 'well its not our problem. hes the one who didnt want to leave so its his own fault. he should be able to handle himself'#WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU. I have found myself in yet another dilemma

#i need to brush my teeth so i can go ti sleep #but I'm tired #and I'm scared to leave my room #because what I'd there's someone out there #i know there is nobody but still #what if #what if someone comes #i know that's not gonna happen but like. scary #the lamp in the bathroom is broken too #all of them #light doesn't work #and there's this mirror in there that faces directly toward the door #and i don't trust mirrors at least not when they reflect doors #you don't know if that's actually right what if someone dies come in and i just don't notice #that's mostly me being tired I'm not usually that paranoid when it's not dark and i be have slept #but hey maybe I'm just scared of the dark #and when I'm tired I sometimes see stuff moving in my adjacent vision #and it's weirrrrdddd #yesterday i think it was i tried to go upstairs and the light in the hallway wasn't out #because they're those dumb times lights #where they go off on their own after a few minutes #and i was stood there in porch black darkness frantically searching for the lightswitch to make the reflective panic go away #i am not looking forward to the winter folks in gonna have to convince father we need at least a lamp to put somewhere in that room #if all others apparently don't work #oh but i could check the uhhhm. whatsitsna me...... you know the big thing #the box thing #where you have to go to the box #to check if the energy is still flowing #and all that #i will do that tomorrow nodnod
