something that sticks out to me with kaz is his fondness for stage magic type tricks and escape artistry. it reminds me of things like how the start of the adventures of cavalier and clay there's a big portion about how the one boy admires harry houdini and aspires to be like him. that to be able to be like him was the dream of every jewish boy on the block. or figures like hershel of ostropol who plays tricks and can't ever be truly caught and who succeeds via clever schemes.
kaz isn't filled with the aspirational dreams of being like harry houdini though. and he's not a fun folklore hero you'd find in a children's picture book. he's very grim and he's exceptionally brutal. he's very driven, yes, but his motivation is revenge.
this isn't really a complete thought. it's only a half thought. but it is one that i've been thinking of while reading this book. maybe it will develop into a more cogent and purposeful thing at some point.

MITSUBISHI STARION
Technology that is inextricably linked to the Lancer EX Turbo
Leading early Group A races with advanced supercharging technology
The Japanese car that fought best against Eggenberger's Volvo at the Inter TEC. Starion may have such an image. In the All Japan Touring Car Championship, he showed a perfect run from an early stage.
Stability and reliability are the keys to good results A-car that makes it to the ground safely
In the lineup of Mitsubishi Motors, the model developed in 1982 was the Starion, positioned as a high-end sports coupe that was the successor to the Galant (Lambda) and Lancer Celeste.
This model was introduced in the All Japan Touring Car Championship that began in 1985, but Mitsubishi's motorsports activities were originally focused on rally fields rather than circuit races.
This is clearly evidenced by the A53/55 Galant, the Southern Cross Rally with the AR73 Lancer, and even participation in the WRC, which began in the 1970s. Participation in the long-distance rally raid from Paris to Dakar was also seen as part of these rally activities.
However, for other manufacturers, for similar reasons, the most convincing PR activity for a market that was hungry for performance while surviving emissions regulations was motorsport. It was a result of making a decision and stepping into the circuit race at hand.
In this sense, the Mirage Cup, which started the one-make race, is probably the best example. As a category that conveys the glamorous atmosphere of racing, it was one of the races that attracted attention at the time.
On the other hand, in the touring car race of Group A vehicles, the Starion Turbo, which had a proven track record in the North American continent, was brought in. One of the reasons for this was that until then, Mitsubishi had had little to do with domestic races, and that they could not find a suitable car to participate in the newly-started Group A race.
This is also the case with Nissan's Group C cars, which used the proven mechanics of the IMSA series in the form of "reverse imports."
Well, that Stallion is equipped with a G63B type 3-valve SOHC + turbocharger engine. Mitsubishi had accumulated turbocharging technology with the Lancer EX2000 for WRC. The engine type of the Lancer EX2000 Turbo is the 4G63 type (different from the 4G63 type of 4-valve DOHC used in the Lancer Evolution series later. It is the SOHC 2-valve engine that became the prototype of this), and the basic part is Stallion's
Common with the G63B type. Looking back on these circumstances, Mitsubishi had a certain amount of experience and confidence in the basic mechanisms and content that make up the vehicle.
The first Stallion that appeared in such a background was InterTEC in 1985. After that, Akihiko Nakatani, who became the main driver of the Stallion, was combined with M. Liu and Fumio Mutoh to finish 4th overall. Considering that the 1st and 2nd place was the Volvo 240 Turbo and the 3rd place was the BMW 635CS, it was a good result, what happened to the other Japanese cars?
Then, from 1986, Kunimitsu Takahashi and Akihiko Nakatani teamed up to participate in the All Japan Touring Car Championship series on a regular basis. He finished 5th in Round 1 and 3rd in Round 2, and in Round 3 at Tsukuba, he finally won his long-awaited first victory.
At this time, the opponent was Takao Wada/Aguri Suzuki's Skyline RS Turbo, and although they conceded the series championship, they were always on even terms and won the 2nd place in the series. He had become a presence respected by other entrants.
The following year, 1987, they maintained their first-class competitiveness and got off to a great start with two consecutive wins at the opening of West Japan and West Sendai. After that, he continued to lose races due to trouble, but he managed to win the series ranking 3rd place thanks to his savings in the early stages. He has proven that he is still a first class contender.
In 1988, the Skyline fleet changed to the HR31 type, the Sierra RS500 increased, and the Supra entered the war. The SOHC system engine was already severe, and the chassis performance had reached the stage of review.
In terms of results, the 2nd place in the match against Nishi-Sendai was conspicuous, and the number of cases where other division 1 cars fell behind was increasing.
On the other hand, the wide-body GSR-VR (1987) was launched on the market during this period, and the basic performance was slightly improved, but compared to the trend of rival cars, the progress of evolution was not good. He took small strides and eventually withdrew from Group A racing in 1988.
After that, Mitsubishi's motorsports activities shifted to Group A rally cars with turbo 4WD starting with the Galant VR-4, and after the release of the Lancer Evolution series, it became a WRC top contender until it captured the world title.
Even so, in 1986, when the race began in earnest, the Stallion, whose basic design was already outdated, was able to achieve such a good track record. It's nothing but Taka.
At the 1986 Inter TEC, which was the debut race, it was exciting to see the Stallion running fast and make the Volvo team say, "What is that car?"

Wrestle Kingdom 18 preview
Tumblr media Tumblr media
SANADA vs. Tetsuya Naito - Sanada is making his 5th defense of the IWGP world heavyweight championship. Naito earned this title bout by winning the 2023 G1 Climax tournament. This will only be their fourth one-on-one encounter--Sanada is currently 2-1 against Naito, whose only singles victory came in 2018.
For ten years, Naito has been on a quest to get the last word at Wrestle Kingdom in the Tokyo Dome. In 2014 he qualified for the main event, but a fan vote bumped his title match to second from the top, and he lost besides. The disappointment soured his relationship with the fans and ultimately led to him joining CMLL's Los Ingobernables faction and creating his own spinoff. Los Ingobernables de Japon propeled Naito to superstardom as a top babyface. By the time he secured his Wrestle Kingdom main event in 2018, Sanada was a loyal member of LIJ. Of course, Naito lost again, so the quest continued.
When Naito finally won the Wrestle Kingdom main event in 2020, he began closing the show with a promo. Before he could complete his signature LIJ roll call, KENTA did a run-in, ruining his moment. Since then Naito has been singularly focused on getting back to the tippy-top, closing Wrestle Kingdom, doing the roll call, and finishing with "Los Ingobernables de Japon!" with the crowd joining in on the last three syllables. If you've heard that Naito's only goal is hearing "DE! JA! PON!" and you had no idea what the hell that meant, now you know.
Naito's journey has been full of near misses. He headlined Wrestle Kingdom in 2021 as the defending champion, but lost again. In 2023 he won a Wrestle Kingdom main event, but it was in Yokohama Arena, not the Tokyo Dome. Then he won a main event at the Tokyo Dome, but it was Keiji Mutoh's retirement show, not Wrestle Kingdom.
Along the way, Sanada has gone from part of the LIJ roll call to Naito's greatest obstacle. People had high hopes for Sanada when he joined NJPW in Naito's faction, but by 2023 he seemed like an also-ran. That changed in the New Japan Cup, when Taichi of Just 4 Guys found a way to motivate him. Sanada defeated Taichi, and then went on to knock Naito out of the tournament, before declaring his intent to jump from LIJ to J4G. As the ace of Just 5 Guys, Sanada reinvented himself and finally won the big one against his longtime nemesis Kazuchika Okada. Naito is too chill to act like he takes any of this personally, but nevertheless his mission is now to go through his former teammate.
Sanada's run on top has not been well received. There's a general perception that he's failing as world champ and needs to be moved back down the card unless he can turn things around. So he really needs a statement win over a tippy-toppy guy like Naito, at a tippy-toppy show like this one. But at the same time, time is running out for Naito to get his big moment, and if he can't get it done against a weak champion, then it seems like it'll never happen. Basically something's got to give, and one side or the other will end the night with bitter disappointment.
My gut feeling is that Sanada needs the win more than Naito, but Naito is more likely to get it. Where that leaves Sanada is a question to work throughout the rest of 2024. But New Japan appears to be making moves to signal that they're righting the ship, so a title change in the Tokyo Dome would fit in with that message.
Kazuchika Okada vs. Bryan Danielson - This is a rematch from AEW's Forbidden Door in June 2023. Danielson won the match, but broke his arm in the process. On October 25, they met again in an AEW tag team match--neither man was involved in the finish, but Danielson's team won. Bryan went into the match with a broken orbital bone, but the storyline is that Okada caused the injury. So the idea is that Danielson won twice but got injured twice, so he's the one ought for revenge.
The match should be great, and very well could upstage the main event. But the finish isn't in much question. Danielson is in his final year as a full-time wrestler, and he's coming onto Okada's home turf. It makes no sense for him to beat Okada again unless it's to set up another rematch. It's time for Okada to get his win back, and Danielson will make him fight for it, but he's going to get it.
Will Ospreay vs. Jon Moxley vs. David Finlay - This is a three-way match to determine the first IWGP global champion. Whoever scores the first fall on either opponent will win the match and the new title.
The global title is intended to replace the IWGP United States championship, which Ospreay won in June. In August Will decided he didn't want to represent the US, and unofficially restyled himself as the IWGP United Kingdom champion, complete with a new version of the belt. Ospreay had both belts on hand in November, when he attempted to issue a challenge for Jon Moxley. But then Finlay ran in, attacked both guys, and destroyed both belts with a sledgehammer.
This is one of those three-ways where the hype is for A vs. B, and C is just there to be involved the finish. Moxley and Ospreay have an issue going back to the botched pin in April 2022. But Finlay has nothing to do with anything...except that he's the only one who'll be full-time with New Japan going forward, so it'd make sense to put the new belt on him. I can't say they won't put the global belt on Ospreay or Moxley, but it feels like it's Finlay's time to shine.
Hiromu Takahashi vs. El Desperado - Hiromu is the IWGP junior heavyweight champion, and this is his 8th defense. Since he returned from excursion in 2016, he's had seven singles matches against Despy, and the series is tied 3-3-1. Despy's three wins were all in 23 minutes or less; Hiromu's three wins came at 28 minutes and up.
I'm up for seeing these two go at it one more time, but no matter who wins they need some fresh meat in this division. Both guys have beaten just about anyone who might step up to challenge the winner. Unless someone new is coming in, I think Desperado has to win.
Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI vs. El Phantasmo & Hikuleo - Bishamon (Goto and Yoshi) are defending the IWGP heavyweight tag team title, and ELP and Hiku are defending the STRONG tag team title; it is champions versus champions, title for title.
Goto and Yoshi won both the IWGP and STRONG titles back on June 4, but lost the STRONG belts, but lost them to Alex Coughlin and Gabe Kidd a month later. Around the same time, Phantasmo was turfed out of Bullet Club and taken in by the Guerillas of Destiny, and he began teaming with Hikuleo. The ELP-Hiku team captured the STRONG title from Coughlin and Kidd in October.
This is the third meeting between these teams. They face off fought in their first block match in 2023's World Tag League tournament, and Phantasmo and Hikuleo scored the win. Both teams made it to the final, where Bishamon won a 40-minute war to win their third straight WTL trophies. So this is the rubber match.
My preference would be to see Phantasmo and Hikuleo get a big career-making win, but I don't know if we'll get it. Bishamon has been building a dynatsty for years, so they have to be the heavy favorites. But as long as we get another intense battle like the December 10 match, I'll be happy. I'm going with Bishamon to win.
Shingo Takagi vs. Tama Tonga - Shingo beat Tama for the NEVER title on October 28, so this is the rematch. Their only other singles encounter was a time limit draw in the G1 Climax, so Tama really needs to prove he can beat this guy. However, Shingo has already been running his mouth about wanting to fight big names in AEW, so I suspect the bookers are already looking past this match. Shingo should probably retain, while Tama goes back to tag team action with his brother.
Shota Umino & Kaito Kiyomiya vs. EVIL & Ren Narita - Narita turned on Umino at the end of the World Tag League tournament, and joined Evil's lousy House of Torture faction. I guess the House of Torture has been bother Kiyomiya over in Pro Wrestling NOAH as well. All four of these guys were in a 12-man tag match on Noah's big January 2 show. I don't expect anything to get settled here, so I'm thinking Evil and Narita win with a fuck finish, and Chris Charlton whines about it on commentary the entire time.
Yota Tsuji vs. Yuya Uemura - Both men returned from excursion this year. Back in their Young Lion days, these two wrestled all the time in opening matches. Their first 21 (!) one-on-one matches ended in ten-minute draws. Tsuji was the first to score a win, and by April 2021 he led the series 15-10-22. This is their first singles match since graduating from the dojo, and now they've got thirty minutes on the clock, not ten. I'm kinda thinking Tsuji will just win again, but New Japan has the chance to do something really funny here. So what the hell, I'm rooting for a 30-minute draw.
Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi - Sabre's NJPW World television title is on the line. The belt, named after the NJPW World streaming site, was introduced a year ago, when Zack won a tournament to become the first champion. Since then he's racked up sixteen defenses so far. Title bouts in New Japan traditionally have a 60-minute time limit, but the TV belt is always contested with a 15-minute time limit.
I always think Sabre has Tana's number, but in singles matches Tana is 6-5 against the champion. Only two of those matches went under 15 minutes, and Tana won both of them. So it might behoove Sabre to use the clock and seek a draw, but he hates doing that. My guess is that Sabre will score the win, and make a big deal out of beating the new president of the company.
Drilla Moloney & Clark Connors vs. Francesco Akira & TJP - Moloney and Connors are defending the IWGP junior tag team championship. The team formed when Moloney betrayed Catch 2/2 (Akira and TJP) on June 4 to align with Bullet Club. A month later, Moloney and Connors won the tag title from Catch 2/2. Akira and TJP came up short again in their second clash during the Super Jr. Tag League tournament. Catch 2/2 nevertheless won the tournament, to earn this title rematch, but Connors and Moloney laid them out shortly afterward. On December 22, Catch 2/2 lost a third time to Connors and Moloney, in a coffin match. So the challengers really need a win here. I think they'll get it.
New Japan Ranbo - This is a gauntlet battle royale, so two participants start in the ring, and each additional participant enters at one-minute intervals. The match ends when all but four participants are eliminated. Eliminations can occur by pinfall, submission, or exiting the ring over the top rope to the floor. The last four left in the match are declared co-winners, and advance to a match on January 5 to determine first possession of the KOPW belt in 2024. Whoever holds the belt at the end of the year will be the KOPW 2024 champion.
Basically, this is just a clusterfuck battle royale at the start of the show, so all the guys who aren't booked elsewhere get something to do. They'll probably bring in a few old-timers for a couple of spots. It really doesn't matter who wins here, so I guess I'll just pick...let's see...Taichi, SHO, Toru Yano, and Great-O-Khan.

KEJI MUTO GRAND FINAL PRO-WRESTLING "LAST" LOVE HOLD OUT
First I'd like to say thank you to everyone that reads these little reviews and what not it means a lot. I've been wanting to get back and update this blog with lots of stuff I've been watching and no better way to start than the Keji Muto retirement show.
Hands down a great show from start to finish. Noah's production and stage design is so great it's amazing. I saw that an estimated 30k people were at the dome and it set record ppv buys as well in japan. From the moment Keji Muto's music and entrance started playing, you could hear the emotion from the crowd as a long time legend in the country comes down the aisle into the ring one more time especially against another great wrestler in Naito who in my opinion deserves one more run before he calls it day. A lot of people know that muto injuries on his knees is catching up and he can't move like he used too but those quick flashy bursts of moves he gets in is great. Overall one of the best parts of the show is when Mutoh was signaling for the moonsault and the crowd started losing their mind all thinking the same thing "Is he going to do it one last time" but sadly he couldn't anymore his body has been beat up from years of in ring work and ageing has finally caught up to the great keji muto as Naito closes in on one final destino. 1,2,3. Keji Muto has wrestled his final match. or so we thought until after Naito has walked out the ring he challenges Masahiro Chono to an impromtu match. The crowd starts to fire up Mr. Chono who gladly accepts. He steps into the ring, the bell rings and what we get is a beautiful 2-3 minutes of 2 legends in japan going at it for fun and sending the crowd home happy. Overall this show was great it was beautiful. Wrestling is amazing when everything falls into place. This is why we love this sport no matter if it's 80s,90s, 00s etc. Nothing is beautiful than this.

▴ — @sapientiiae ;; Sheik & Zelda. “ hey, why don’t we get out of here? would that be better? “
   These people are annoying.
Sheik has no idea how Zelda sits here every single day listening to the complaints of the people that come to lecture at her. Lecture, whine, complain, cry over problems that they can fix themselves. Problems Sheik typically has had himself and taken care of on his own. He has no idea what they expect Zelda to do over the lack of rain and a broken bridge. Sure, he could play the Song of Storms to make it rain and he could ask Mutoh to go fix their bridge, but the petty person in him wants to tell them to just get over it and go fix the bridge themselves and wait for rain.
Apparently, as King, those are not good answers to give. He feels like they’re good enough answers to give though, feels like they can deal with them and get over themselves. Zelda is not a Goddess–not to them anyway, she is his Goddess and he treats her as such behind closed doors. But again, she isn’t theirs and they should learn to go pray for rain to the actual ones who can deal with that.
He’s perhaps a bit more stressed today than normal, he feels unreasonably angry and in his defense, he has been thrown into more social situations today than normal. It drains on him quickly, Sheik is not a social person, and the longer it drags on the more he wants to tell them off. Which is not an answer he should give them, not a situation he should put them in. They’re citizens, they haven’t had to deal with the things Sheik has. They don’t have the life tools to deal with these petty problems on their own apparently.
The cruel part of him thinks that makes them weak and pathetic.
Tumblr media
The person leaves and he feels the hand on his arm, drawing his gaze over toward the Princess and watching her as she speaks. The offer to leave. Apparently she noticed how stressed and irritated he is, thankfully the other people who have wandered in haven’t. He breathes out tensely and slides his gaze back around, looking for more irritating people to deal with. “Where do you want to go?”

I'm Back...Predictions for Historic X-Over
After being away from this for over three years, I'm back here on the "Pro Wrestling Express" and...I'm going to start off with key predictions for the NJPW/Stardom crossover event coming up in a couple of hours.
First thing though: The opening video package fans around the world will be seeing on Pay-Per-View.
youtube
Sadly...I will not be watching the event LIVE due to the fact that despite having much money, I have to use that money for Christmas shopping and things most important in my life right now and because of that...won't have enough to order this event but...this card is going to be awesome. This show is going to be amazing. Anyway, time for my predictions for "Historic X-Over"
Match #1: EVIL, SHO, Yujiro Takahashi, and Dick Togo [House of Torture] vs. Lio Rush, YOH, YOSHI-HASHI, and Tomohiro Ishii
Many have been looking forward to seeing Lio Rush make his debut in Japan and I got the feeling that him and YOH will send a strong message to the remaining 9 Junior Tag Teams. Thus...I'm going with Chaos for the opening win.
Match #2: Thelka, Himeka, and Mai Sakurai [Donna del Mundo] vs. Saya Kamitani, AZM, and Lady C [Queen's Quest]
Now...being honest here, I don't watch Stardom but I do like what this company does and from everyone I follow on social media, their matches are completely off the charts and this one will be just a sample of that. As for who I have winning this 6-woman tag match, since Saya and AZM are reigning champions (Wonder of Stardom and High Speed Champion, respectively) feeling like someone from "Donna del Mundo" will get the winning pin with that person most likely being Thelka because I feel like with her having been out for parts of the year, she has something to prove.
Match #3: Giula [Donna del Mundo] and Zac Sabre Jr. [Suzuki-gun] vs. Syuri [God's Eye] and Tom Lawlor [Team Filthy]
This is one of the few matches that is hard to predict but if this is used to setup Giulia's eventual rise next month, then I see her getting the win for her team. I'm more of a George Michael fan by the way.
Match #4: Starlight Kid, Momo Watanabe [Black Desire/Oedo Tai], El Desperado, and DOUKI [Suzuki-gun] vs. Natsupoi, Tam Nakano [meltear/Cosmic Angels], Taichi and Yoshinobu Kanemaru [Suzuki-gun]
Feel like this match is going to be insane. Rarely will we see Suzuki-gun members face each other but...big opportunity arises and...as of this typing, I have the feeling once that bell rings, all bets are off. As for who I have winning...can't really predict this one because it's going to be crazy.
Match #5: Maika and Hirooki Goto vs. Utami Hayashita and Hiroshi Tanahashi
The opening package above bills this as "The Aces vs. The Fierce Warriors" with Tanahashi and Utami as the aces of their respective companies and Goto and Maika as those warriors who never give up or never surrender. My prediction for this is I have Utami and Tanahashi winning with Tanahashi getting the winning pinfall.
Match #6: Gideon Grey, TJP, Francesco Akira, Mark Davis, and Kyle Fletcher [United Empire] vs. Shingo Takagi, BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi, SANADA, and Tetsuya Naito [Los Ingobernables de Japon]
Continuing from where they left off in the "Battle Autumn 2022 " tour, LIJ and United Empire square off once again. As for who I have winning, with 3 of the 5 LIJ members competing in the two Tag Tournament starting Monday, with Hiromu competing at "Wrestle Kingdom 17", and with 4 of the 5 United Empire competing also at those two tag tournaments, I see LIJ winning with Gideon Grey once again being the pinfall victim.
Match #7: Great O-Khan, Aaron Henare, and Jeff Cobb [United Empire] vs. Great Muta, Toru Yano, and Kazuchika Okada
In less than two months, the alternate persona of Keiji Mutoh (Great Muta) will officially be retired. Before that though, the Great Muta will make his last NJPW match in the Ariake Arena. As for who I have winning this match...as of this typing I'm going with the United Empire and Jeff Cobb pinning Toru Yano. Got to protect Okada before "Wrestle Kingdom 17" on January 4, 2023. And though I predict United Empire to win, I feel like Great Muta will do something that'll be memorable for all as he says goodbye to NJPW.
Match #8 [Semifinal match]
youtube
In the semi-main event, we have the returning Shota Umino challenging perhaps the best wrestler in all of 2022 in Will Ospreay for the IWGP United States Championship. Who I have winning can go in two ways. Should Ospreay retain over Shota, expect a certain someone (most likely Kenny Omega) to send a video and announce a match between the two at "Wrestle Kingdom 17". Now...if we get the "Roughneck Shock" as it shows in the video package, then expect Shota's first challenger to most likely be Jeff Cobb. No matter who wins this match, this could be a MOTN candidate and possible MOTY.
Main Event [aka Match #9]
youtube
History is going to be made in this main event as it's Mayu Iwatani going one on one with KAIRI to determine the first IWGP Women's Champion. As for who I believe will win this match, it's really hard to predict because, been over 2 years since we've seen KAIRI compete and her comeback this year has been something else. Then, we look at Mayu Iwatani who's a history maker in almost anything. She's got a wild personality and when she wrestles...she'll make you go "wow". So...with that said...it's hard to pick a winner but I'm going with...Mayu Iwatani as the first champion with the first challenger either being Tam Nakano or Starlight Kid.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Although I will not be watching "Historic X-Over", I have the feeling that this is just the starting point for both NJPW and Stardom. Come 2023 and beyond, we're going to see more collaboration events between these two companies. Get ready for a wild Sunday...all on Pay-Per-View.

Atem has missed the last <3000 years of human history so I want to see what he thinks of the Memphis Bass Pro Shops pyramid
(edit: realized he only missed ~3000 years, not 5000)

You think all the ones who weren’t reincarnations ever feel disconnected from the others? The whole reincarnation thing is a bit unclear and maybe it was only supposed to happen once but usually when people think of reincarnation they think of it happening over and over again, so do you think Mokuba ever feels like he’s just a visitor in Seto’s life? That Seto is just going to keep getting reincarnated and they only got to be brothers this once and that them being brothers wasn’t this important thing in the universe for it to happen again?
Or that the gang ever feels like that with Yugi? That maybe some friendships don’t transcend lifetimes and that all they can do is be happy that they know him in this life because for all they know he’s just going to keep getting reborn and living lives that they’ll never get to experience with him?

Similar to the previous remake title, Yakuza Kiwami, Kiwami 2 follows the same plot structure of Yakuza 2 while adding new gameplay features and enhancements from later titles, as well as new story elements to resolve confusing plot points in the original release and tie the game more closely to other titles in the series. The player controls series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu as they explore the fictional Japanese districts of Kamurocho, Tokyo and Sotenbori, Osaka, based on the real life locations of Kabukicho and Dōtonbori, respectively. Combat is based on that previously seen in Yakuza 6, though with a variety of new moves and special cinematic 'Heat Moves'. A new story scenario, entitled "The Majima Saga" features recurring series anti-hero Goro Majima as a playable character. The Cabaret Club minigame from Yakuza 0 returns, as does the Clan Creator from Yakuza 6, bringing in New Japan Pro Wrestling stars Keiji Mutoh, Masahiro Chono, Riki Choshu, Genichiro Tenryu, and Tatsumi Fujinami. #Yakuza #SuperBonusRound #SEGA by Super Bonus Round

🤔 what are your top favorite musicals? Also loz headcanons? Or I'd like to read a rant on why you like skyward sword or phantom hourglass. -💖
Lol okay here we go
Top musicals
Les Misérables! (I have so much love for this musical. It's so beautiful)
Cats (the costumes are great and the songs are super catchy)
Aida (Very underrated, and the songs are great, and Adam Pascal)
Phantom of the Opera (I love this, it's a classic)
Sweeney Todd (Funny, dark, and also gory? My aesthetic)
Count of Monte Cristo (The songs are great, the costumes are so good, and the story is emotional and I love it)
I'm not sure I have any Zelda hcs but I CAN and WILL gush about Phantom Hourglass and Skyward Sword.
Okay where do I start. Phantom Hourglass. What is there NOT to love about it? The story is so heartwarming and it makes me cry every time.
The world is so creative with so many different kinds of themes. Like, honestly, the isle of ruins, the isle of ember, and the isle of frost are brilliant.
Also the temples and bosses? I loved King Mutoh's Temple and the Temple of Courage, and how the bosses in those two include the use of ds' split screen. Also ghost ship part? I loved that we got the opportunity to go on it!! ONE LAST THING the Temple of the Ocean King gets unnecessary hate! I think the idea of going back to a Temple is very clever, not only that, but the Temple itself is very fun and has the potential of being challenging (I've cleared the Temple without using any time) - and BELLUM!! one of the most interesting and fun Zelda bosses in my opinion
AND lastly!! The CHARACTERS!! I love Ciela, Linebeck, Tetra, and Oshus. Honestly I could go on with Linebeck alone. First he's a prideful, cowardly jerk who you sorta grow to love anyway, and THEN he genuinely starts to care about Link rather than himself, even when he's afraid. I just love him sm (also his theme is one of the best themes I've ever heard for a Zelda companion)
So!! Skyward Sword! Holy crap!! First off?! The story is so good?! Like the only reason Link goes on a journey, the PRIMARY reason is bc he wants to rescue Zelda, his childhood friend. So. Pure. Yeah, call it linear, but it what it does, it does REALLY WELL.
Anyway the ART of this game?! The watercolor aesthetic?! YES PLEASE. This world feels so soft and nice. The scenery is beautiful!! And the TEMPLE DESIGN is so brilliant. Not only are the puzzles great, but the aesthetics are mm!! Like the Ancient Cistern? The Sand ship? The Skyview Temple? I love.
Also let me gush a little about the characters. I need to show some respect to my guy Groose. He goes through such an amazing arc, from being a bully to someone who's found a purpose and has become accepting and kind? We stan this himbo. Also Ghirahim may be the most INTERESTING rival to Link. He's super weird fabulous and he definitely leaves an impression. Even his arc from being a conceited adversary to a rage-filled and desperate is really great.
Oh oh oh and one last thing!! The ENTIRETY OF THE SKYWARD SWORD OST IS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING
Anyway!! I think I should stop there!! Thank you for letting me gush!! 😊💕
