It’s kinda funny how the distinction between “grunt suits” and “hero suits” is mostly a thematic thing in Gundam, with the biggest separating factor being the pilot’s plot armor level, but things inspired by Gundam codified the difference in-universe in terms of stats. RX-7s vs Buster Machines in Gunbuster, MTs vs ACs in Armored Core, LEVs vs Orbital Frames in Zone of the Enders…

(Due to some slight issue with my first chapter file getting corroded, the VBro's fic will have a slight delay in being shown due to my computers slow reconstruction of the file. In the meanwhile, here's a second continuation of my last post albeit with mostly small oc notes.)
Cliff's first mission is also the one where he first encounters what happens to most henchmen that "don't reach their wings" as in being murdered by Brock Samson; the latter using only his knife and Hank's speeder bike to cut down a raiding group. Kurtzen only escapes when the rest retreat, shakened but not fully scared, he's yet to see the full insanity this universe brings.
Next day is some slight recovery (And washing undergarments...) and the cleaning of the main deck plus the mess hall and game room. (Twenty One owns the Gamecube and the others pitched for a Xbox, they vent their Samson rage after work....)
Later on, he discovers the complimentary tool-belt and often ignored instruction booklet granted to most minions. Cliff's spirits somewhat lighten after finding tools to escape with; though he's confused why no-one else wears them.
Before heading down to the bar area for a brief rest until going out with the others, a senior butterfly cusses him out for retreating a while ago and strolls off in a huff. Said senior is Scott Hall, wannabe elite minion and toe-rag, he will be of importance soon...
Off-scene is a brief portion dedicated to Rusty Venture preparing for a special contribution to the U.S. militaries arsenal; a special raygun that accelerates the growth and evolution of crops.
Normally this idea would sound pretty nice would it?
Sadly, we are talking about Doc Thaddeus "Rusty" Venture; the guy's invention is gonna go pear-shaped. In fact, it's going to turn the pear into a killer maneating plant worthy of Audrey 2.
Fortunately, Cliff and co are sent to do some light recon aka "B.S. while watching the Ventures in the bushes" aka just a light scene of Kurtzen getting to know two familiar henches.
Only for the fun to break cause an escaped, four-legged mutant hybrid of a potato/beet attacks the crew. Where did it come from, I'll let you guess later (Once I fix this darned corroded fic file that is!)

So, this AI art has an interesting bit of process behind it.
Specifically, a lot of folks wrt AI art focus on the idea of it as just "put in prompt, get the thing made," but there's another angle a lot of folks don't consider...
...Well, okay, there's multiples, but upscaling and outpainting are their own things for their own posts, I'm talking about image2image. Which is, basically, putting in a link to an existing image, which uses it as a "guideline" for building the image in your prompt.
Think of it as like adding new details onto an action figure with epoxy putty when customizing it, or building a stop-motion puppet around a metal armature. Significantly more advanced than DeepDream stuff.
Note that legally you can't use these things to "launder" other people's images, legally it still probably counts as a derivative work, but there's still so much you can do with PD/CC/your own photography/your own art.
And I tried to do stuff with that here, by using them to generate images of a concept that's been bouncing around in my head for a while, the Blood Warriors, using a crude quick "sketch" as the "base" for img-2-img.
Note that these are not entirely "raw," there were several iterations of the AI versions I made with the prompts, I simply stitched together the best parts of each iteration into a final product, sometimes even doing img-2-img on one of the iterated versions!
But, I'm pleased with what I have done, I have a story for these weirdos (eventually) and I have a lot more AI art-related stuff on the way, I just hope I don't get some of the more... terrifying responses I've heard folks doing this stuff get.

My newest group of Miraculous OCs, the Lepidopterans. Created because Hawk Moth acts like a Tokusatsu villain, but lacks foot soldiers - so here they are. I'm not the first to do this (the story Miraculous Alliance by KivaTheDCWizard had the Moth Swarm, converted in the Butterfly Brigade by a good Butterfly user in the sequel), but this is my take. And since the Miraculous manga revealed Gabriel is into manga (to the point that when Evillustrator targeted him for believing he had forbidden Adrien to read them his hammy speech in defense of the medium is enough to calm the Akuma down), I decided to add a few shout-out to Japanese series (not just manga). You can assume Gabriel did it on purpose.
These guys are recruited among people who, for whatever reason, hate the heroes to a point they'd rather work with Hawk Moth but aren't smart enough to realize becoming foot soldiers is a horrible idea (so they're at least stupider than Chloé and Lila). They have received basic combat training that includes the use of "Yeee!" as a warcry, and, thanks to our villain's collaboration with Tsurugi Tomoe they have been upgraded with cyborg implants that give them superhuman strength (though inferior to a Miraculous user). Captains (recognizable from the jacket) have slightly better implants. The implants also grant them holographic disguises that also allow effective invisibility, but don't grant them the ability to turn into sheets to fly or assume missile-like forms as Tomoe couldn't create implants for such abilities. As standard issue they are armed with pistols derived from the Nambu Type 14 rechambered for 9mm Parabellum but normally firing rocket bullets and HF blades in the form of butterfly knives (requested specifically by Gabriel. Stole the pun from Miraculous Alliance), though Captains use guns derived from the Luger P.08. They also carry technological transformation items in the form of eyeglasses that, when activated, turn into visors and generate the rest of the uniform, highly resistant to most attacks and invulnerable to any firearm smaller than full-powered rifle rounds. In case of need they may carry other weapons, most notably M1928 Thompsons copies firing the same ammo as the handguns.

How did these guys creep into the production schedule? Like how many licks it takes to get to the root of a Tootsie Roll Pop, the world may never know...
