Last week was utter hell, with a new class, a new schedule, and my sleep going out of whack. I'm still trying to readjust, and let me explain why I'm mentioning all of this. Almost nothing would have motivated me to get out of my zone and type this post except for Frieren. Frieren is one of my favorite manga series. If you've talked to me about anime/manga before, you would know this. So, ever since it was announced, it has been one of my most anticipated series. To add to that, Keiichirou Saitou was announced as the director. He's a great example of an upcoming new-gen director who has excelled in everything he's been a part of. From the beautiful and abstract EDs he created for The Executioner and Her Way of Life or Boogiepop, to the mesmerizing, dreamlike episodes he directed for Sonny Boy, and the expressive, now very popular Bocchi the Rock. He was a perfect choice as a director for a series like this, and let me tell you, he delivered fully.
Just from a quick glance, you can see how the show looks. Everything is eye-catching, making it almost hard to focus on one particular element because they all just look so good, and no, it's not just the chromatic aberration causing the lack of focus. The various departments responsible for compositing, the background, and the overall color design have done an outstanding job, creating a beautiful and cohesive piece of art. Seeing someone you might consider a less experienced director pulling off such a complete and harmonious experience is incredible. In terms of design, the whole show is aesthetically pleasing. It's not the experimental work you saw in Sonny Boy; it's going in a totally different direction, like a beautiful painting that should be framed on a wall.
It works very well when paired with, you know, how Frieren is as a story. The fantasy world they are in isn't an extremely unique one. You've seen it before; it's fairly typical in that sense. But that's not truly the point. The main focus is showing the day-to-day or year-to-year life of this immortal elf girl, Frieren, and how she views time, how she remembers her past. It's not an incredibly grand adventure, but with the small lens we have on these characters, it feels like a cherished moment, something that should be captured in a photo or painting. It's beautiful in a very simple way. It's not a series made for extremely large moments, I think Frieren has always been focused on a simpler view of life, much like a painting. The smaller details of such a straightforward approach are highlighted so well. The trees in the environment, the squirrels just moving around—there's so much life in each scene. It really all comes together for me like a piece of art.
The consistency lasts through all four episodes, and the staff distribution also seems fairly good, so I expect this to continue throughout the two cours. The pacing itself is perfect. I've really enjoyed how the story has been adapted to animation so far. I believe that nowadays, many anime series have fallen into the pitfalls of adapting things too quickly to capture the interest of newer viewers early on. However, the series composition for Frieren here is excellent.
This writeup might have been shorter than most people were expecting considering how amazing the anime adaptation is and how much I love the source material, but what can really be said about except just praising? I feel like even if you don't like the source material, the anime's execution is almost undeniably good. Additionally, as I said this past week has not been kind to me so my energy is a bit drained, at first I was planning to be more specific in my write up and make points more adhering to the specifics of each episode, but I didn't really have time for that. However, I will do my best to cover every Frieren episode weekly from now on. Make no mistake this is going to be my favorite series from this year.

SO you said we can ask you about your OCs here, right? 8) What about your LL babies' first impressions of the other members of the group? Please and Thank (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)
Ah, my first time writing in detail about the Love Live! OCs! I went a bit crazy here, I’m sorry it’s so long! I hope you like it, though! ♪ヾ(*‘∀’*)ノ(Tagging @novanoah since technically I include your babies as well ( ゝ◡╹)ノ♥)
Akina Kamenashi
Miyuki HondaAkina and Miyuki met on the first day of school, where Akina was hit by Miyuki’s basketball when entering the school’s courtyard for the first time. Miyuki, horrified, takes her to the nurse and the two become friends there. Akina thinks Miyuki is the perfect person to help with the exercise that comes with being a school idol, so she suggests that she should be the head practice coach.
Erika MineAkina and Miyuki meet Erika when she’s doing vocal warm ups for her drama club performance, and Akina tells her that she has a lovely voice. Erika is a bit embarrassed that she wasn’t alone like she thought, but is flattered nonetheless. She claims that the moment she met Akina and Miyuki was like being in a shoujo manga due to their princeliness.
Hisa ChibaHisa approached Akina when she was handing out flyers for the school idol club she was trying to get people interested in. She took a flyer and left so quickly that Akina’s first impression of her was a blur of cherry red hair. She appreciates her enthusiasm, though!
Tsuki ShimizuThe two first meet when Hisa approaches Akina to join her school idol group, to which Akina welcomes them both with open arms. Akina values Tsuki’s accessory making skills highly just like Hisa does. With Hisa’s help, she was able to reassure Tsuki that she belongs in the school idol club and makes sure that she’s comfortable.
Mikami TsuchiuraAkina meets Mikami when she sees her dancing on the roof of the school and instantly visualizes the school idol club using her style of choreography. She then approaches her and asks if she’s ever considered being a school idol. Akina gets shot down a few times, but once Mikami finds out that Iko has joined the group, her opinion changes.
Megumi MaruyamaAkina meets Megumi due to the fact that Megumi is the student council president and needs to approve their application to become the school idol club. She’s a bit intimidated at first, but when Megumi joins the group, she realizes just how fun she is to be around!
Kaede KuragiSince Kaede is one of the earlier members of the group, Akina got to know her well and appreciates her motherly nature. Akina would often find Kaede’s paper cranes lying around the club room and keep some of them because she loves them so much.
Iko NatsukawaAkina met Iko through Kaede, who insisted that Iko was meant to be a school idol but is too shy to admit it. Akina has a lot of respect for Iko and is grateful for Iko’s fatherly advice that she often gives to the group when they’re feeling discouraged.
Hisa Chiba
Akina KamenashiHisa was one of the first people interested in joining Akina’s group. Immediately after taking a flyer for the school idol club, she ran off to find Tsuki and tell her about it.
Miyuki HondaHisa met Miyuki through the school idol club, but didn’t really get to know her until Iko pointed out how they both like to write poetry. They then got to write song lyrics together and collaborated well, even though their personalities are very different. Hisa’s optimism reminds Miyuki of Akina.
Erika MineOn the first day of school when trying to chase down Mikami so they could be friends, Erika’s dogs actually pounce on Hisa and immobilize her because they could smell the meat in her lunch. This was how the two met, and while Erika was apologetic about the incident, Hisa didn’t really have any complaints about having a bunch of cute dogs on top of her.
Tsuki ShimizuHisa first became friends with Tsuki when they were small children; Tsuki was extremely nervous for her first day of school, and sat alone on the playground until Hisa came up to her and complimented her on her earrings. Their friendship came naturally after their initial conversation, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Hisa’s constant encouragement has helped Tsuki come out of her shell and raise her self-esteem.
Mikami TsuchiuraWhen Mikami moved in next door to Hisa, Mikami was not keen on being Hisa’s friend at first. This didn’t stop Hisa from trying, and on the first day of school she insists that she should walk with her and Tsuki to school together. This is how she ends up chasing Mikami to school and being attacked by Erika’s dogs.
Megumi MaruyamaWhen Hisa first met Megumi, she thought her notes on her arms were tattoos. Once that misunderstanding was cleared up and they got to know each other more, she often asks Megumi to help her with her math homework since she has trouble budgeting her time between school and being a school idol at times.
Kaede KuragiThe two naturally became friends since Kaede, Tsuki, and Hisa were the first three members to join the school idol group other than the second years. Hisa loves it when Kaede arranges flowers in the club room.
Iko NatsukawaHisa met Iko through the school idol group and admires her a lot. While Iko can be a bit intimidating when it comes to first impressions, Hisa was one of the few who wasn’t fazed by her aloof exterior.
Iko Natsukawa
Akina KamenashiIko was introduced to Akina when Kaede suggested that she join the school idol club. Iko was surprised that she could be a school idol because she didn’t think she was young or cute enough, but Akina reassures her that beauty comes in different forms and that all forms of beauty are welcome in the school idol club. Iko, moved to tears, agrees to join the club with a newfound respect for Akina.
Miyuki HondaWhile at first Iko was oblivious to Miyuki’s admiration for her, once she joined the school idol club it became more obvious. Iko is touched by this, and joins the basketball club so they can practice together after school.
Erika MineErika gives Iko a strawberry hair pin soon after she joins the school idol club because she overheard Kaede talking about how much Iko loves them, which pretty much guaranteed them being friends. Erika heard a lot about Iko from Miyuki already, so she’s interested to see what she’s like.
Hisa ChibaIko didn’t think much of Hisa at first until she read some of her poetry; she was one of the first to suggest that Hisa should help Miyuki write some of the lyrics to their songs.
Tsuki ShimizuBecause Tsuki has trouble in Physical Education, Iko offers to help train her outside of practice since Tsuki has trouble keeping up at first. The two get to know each other better, and Tsuki gets in proper shape!
Mikami TsuchiuraIko knew Mikami from when she played against her overseas; when they first met, Mikami announced to her that Iko was going to be her rival. Their rivalry has mostly consisted of Mikami trying to get Iko’s attention, but Iko still appreciates Mikami’s dedication and often plays against her for fun. She assures her that she will improve and be as good as her when she’s a third year, or maybe even better.
Megumi MaruyamaIko met Megumi when they were second years since they were both on the student council. Iko was only around for a short amount of time during her second year before she had to leave, but they still managed to become good friends. Iko enjoyed working with Megumi, and thinks that she’s a fitting student council president.
Kaede KuragiIko met Kaede when they were first years, and was immediately fond of her since she was easy for her to be around. She makes Iko feel relaxed. Iko was overjoyed to reunite with her  and Megumi once she returned from overseas.

Garupa x AAside Headcanons, just something really random. I just like these ideas tbh.
hinted straightdori, be warned :')
quite long too agsbsvbsd.
Kaoru Seta moves to Hakodate and goes to the same college as Argonavis, she's taking Pre-School Education course despite having love for Theater Acting. She's still famous with the girls, but this time, she has fanboys now. Goryo Yuto is probably one of them.
Kanon Matsubara and Ren Nanahoshi are actually cousins, Kanon didn't knew and found out about it when she met Ren and he looks similar to her Uncle.
Moca Aoba and Ryo Akebono are good ol' online friends. Afterglow expects Moca has a boyfriend but instead she has a friend from outerspace.
Hello Happy World does concerts on Hakodate from time to time, hence on meeting Argonavis.
Hagumi Kitazawa is Wataru Matoba and Kenta Satozuka's step sister, coming from their Mother. Hagumi only grew onto Wataru despite being closer to Kenta. (Hagumi introduces Kenta as "Wataru's Older brother" which is then corrected by Wataru)
Himari Uehaea and Wataru Matoba are...somehow friends. No one knows how, no one knows when. It just happened.
Sayo Hikawa and Kenta Satozuka had a dating scandal, neither of them actually confirmed their relationship status. The only answer they give is "Roselia/Gyroaxia is my top priority."
Hina Hikawa and Rio Kikyo dislike one another.
Aya Maruyama is siblings with Wakakusa Aoi. Aya strives to become like her brother, responsible and reliable.
Miyuki Sakaigawa obtained Tomoe Udagawa's phone number by drinking a whole bottle of wine in one go.
Felix Louis-Claude Mont d'or is Chisato Shirasagi's single Uncle.
Asahi Rokka doesn't like to admit she's related to Asahi Nayuta for some reason, RAS only found out about it when they met Gyroaxia.
Kaoru Seta and Rio Kikyo hang out at random times to study, but Kaoru unfortunately always gets surrounded with her fans
Lisa Imai and Yuto Goryo hang out a lot, they like to talk about fashion and food. Lisa is also Yuto's personal therapist.
Reon Misono has tried to ask for Kaoru's hand for at least 10 times, all of them being ending up to failure.
Yukina Minato dreams of touching Asahi Nayuta's hair because it resembles a cat.
Epsilon Phi (mostly Shu Ujigawa) tried to Live Fight with Hello Happy world but ended up befriending Kokoro Tsurumaki, whom actually favors Kanata Nijo the most.
Kokoro Tsurumaki often tries to make Haruka Nijo smile, but ends up failing as he always pushes her away.
Before getting Tomoe's Phone Number, Miyuki Sakaigawa had an attempt to have a one night stand with Kaoru Seta in which, she rejected.
Kasumi Toyama and Ren Nanahoshi are very close friends despite being far from eachother and the Kasumi Language barrier. Kasumi would often try to give Ren advises about bands.

I realized I spelled Gyroaxia wrong, fixed it na

About Sword Art Online Alicization War of Underworld:
“And so the grand finale of the Alicization arc begins…”
The final load test… The war between the Human Empire and the Dark Territory has engulfed Underworld entirely. The battle has shifted course with the Dark Territory army led by Gabriel, who seeks to capture Alice, the Priestess of Light, in their fight against Asuna and the Human Empire forces fighting to save Underworld.
As Kirito’s consciousness remains buried in a deep sleep, Gabriel, standing in as the Dark God Vecta, has recruited thousands of American players to log in to the Underworld to annihilate the Human Empire forces.
In this great war, the stakes are not only the Underworld’s continued existence, but also the bottom-up artificial intelligence, the ultimate AI, and even the very future of mankind!
Though he has yet to awaken, only one man holds the fate of this world: the Black Swordsman.
