In Love Nikki, Nikki is a sincere, level-headed, compassionate and talented stylist who is completely ineffective when it counts and constantly fails to save her friends, cries, vows to be stronger, then repeats the cycle.

In Shining Nikki, Nikki is an air-headed goddess who accidentally keeps letting the world get destroyed.

It's still crazy to me to this day that the primary villain is possessed by a sword which you can collect the suit that represents this destructive spirit of this sword

That and the blood curse that makes them have to use the dress up fighting system because if they fought with regular weapons everyone would get fucked

So when I say love Nikki dress up Queen is just Yu-Gi-Oh with a higher focus on fashion I mean it

Story - summarized

Wenren Dian can't remember anything except a godly face. That person must know who he's supposed to be. He follows the presence of the Ocean of Memories into the desert - the source of the Ocean's power is a mural of a goddess, in the process of restoration.

The painters working on the mural think Wenren Dian is a master painter who's come to help them. He gives good advice and helps them improve the painting. These people live in nearby Lor River City, and they worship the goddess in the mural to protect them - except, Wenren can sense the Ocean's power fading. The goddess isn't here right now.

Naturally, the painters are offended when he tells them, and they bring him to their queen to face punishment. But Queen Joyeux seems more interested in Wenren than in doing her job, so she instead invites him to a party tonight. He prefers solitude, but Queen Joyeux gets upset until he joins.

Everything seems fine when he joins the queen to play music, her on the pipa, him on the guqin, and everyone at the party is entranced by their playing - only afterward does Wenren Dian learn that playing the guqin in Lor River is proposing to someone. Queen Joyeux gets upset again, and she commands him to work on the mural as a minister, forbidden from entering the city until the work is done.

He truly doesn't mind, as this is just perfect for him. As he studies his books and restores the painting, he finally understands: even if the goddess isn't here anymore, the will and creativity of the people make this place special. One night, he dreams of the godly face from his memories. He talks with Them about civilization in Miraland, and then he watches Them die in the War of the Gods.

He wakes up with a new purpose: to protect humans and their civilizations.

Connections

-The godly face Wenren Dian remembers is you, the God of Styling and Beauty. You learn your fate in your past life in Leonid's story in Prophecy.

-Lor River City has been a location in the Nikki games since Love Nikki, where you can travel there for a week, meet old friends, and collect stickers.

-In the lore for the Unicorn/Nightmare event (that wraps up Vol. 2), each Envoy is connected to a different kind of beauty. As the Envoy of Elegance, Wenren Dian prefers the beauty of history, civilization, and heritage. He remembers his "purpose" as an Envoy in this Reflection.

-This isn't the first time the Ocean of Memories' power has destroyed a place. It destroyed the town of Banyan in Yexiao's Reflection for Spring Forest.

Fun Facts

-Wenren Dian is the first Envoy to get a UR suit.

-Lor River City is a matriarchy, where women have power and men are shamed.

-Despite Wenren Dian rejecting her (albeit politely) every time she asks about marriage, Queen Joyeux finally lets him go at the end of the Dunhuang event... but she makes it so she's dumping him to save her pride.

Bonuses For Pre-Registering

The official website got a huge makeover!

And now, there's a milestone counter for the number of pre-registrations!

This leads me to wonder:

What are the Resonite Crystals? They clearly have something to do with "resonating," but what exactly? Will they boost certain powers for Ability Suits? Are they going to increase scores for different categories of clothes, like the Styling Academy in Shining Nikki? Or are they for crafting extra special suits... like the Miracle Outfits?

We can only guess for now, but the more people that pre-register, the more Resonite Crystals we get, and the sooner we find out! :)

At least we unlocked extra materials for Threads of Reunion. So, we're one step closer to helping Ena the Curator.

Next, there's the Compendium, with five parts:

It makes me wonder about how Styling Power has changed since Love Nikki and Shining Nikki. Now, Styling Power has something more tangible than just strength of will and strong memories: they take physical form as Whim Stars.

Curious... Is it because Styling Power is more abundant/powerful now? Or is this a change from one of the timelines in Shining Nikki's Star Sea lore?

Then, the Whimborn. Were they created by a Stylist in the past, or are they just another manifestation of Styling Power, like the Whim Stars? If by a Stylist, then who? Ena the Curator? Maybe a past Stylist from another Nikki game? (If that's the case, I'm assuming Leonid or someone equally powerful.)

And of course, the starting town of Florawish. So far, we encounter key characters in our starting towns in the Nikki games: Lunar, Bobo, and Kimi from Love Nikki; Helz, Loen, and Leonid (in flashbacks) in Shining Nikki. I wonder which characters in Florawish will be long-term friends/characters? Dada and Bebe work at the Guild. Giovanni works with WhimTech. Nonoy works as an intern at the Dream Warehouse. Which one, or ones, will be key players going forward?

Breezy Meadow was just too cute not to share.

You can't click on these, but they show you important gameplay, like combat, fishing, exploration, and more. But they all have one thing in common: collecting Whim Stars.

Makes me think about Styling Power in Shining Nikki, to be honest. According to Loen's Flame Fox Reflection, any item can be imbued with the power of Styling or even Designer's Reflection. It's nice seeing something similar in Infinity Nikki, with objects that contain so much Styling Power they manifest in tangible form. But Whim, instead of Reflection.

I wonder if we'll be able to see any memories of Stylists, or even gods like Ena.

And at the bottom of the website is a News section, but it just has this update currently listed.

So much potential lore to unpack, and it's just the beginning of the website!

Hello everyone! Before I start posting and constructing this blog I just wanted to explain a bit of what I'm doing. Im very interested in all of the lore behind Love Nikki and wanted to compile it all into a single blog. This is a project I'm mostly starting for myself but I've decided to share it with all of you, if anyone would like to learn along side myself.

This blog is strictly for the lore of the Love Nikki universe, including the main story, events, and story suits. I will not be posting about game updates or new suits and events. For that information I recommend checking out the official Love Nikki Facebook page or the official Discord server.

In the same breath, this blog will only showcase lore from the English Server in order to steer clear of any and all spoilers from any of the other servers that may be ahead of us.

love nikki is a fun game and all, but as someone who recently took a break from it and also very, very loosely follows the lore, sometimes i forget that while i’m playing this cutesy anime dress-up game, there’s also this insane war plot going on in the background, where an actual, semi-main character was literally murdered on screen.

I have a theory

This morning I was drawing and i realized something.

So, according to Shining Nikki, Miraland will be DESTROYED in 680. So everything that happened in Love Nikki, happened in one year. I read in another post about the timeline, and i taught about this.. If apparetly, Miraland will be destroyed.. The story needs to end at a certain point in Love Nikki, by that I mean for example that we arrived at a crucial point of the game and then BOOM. So if you want to finish the story.. You need to play Shining Nikki, but.. I don't think they'll do something like this, because they are two separated games, even though makes sense that the story finishes in the other game. But at the same time, finish the WHOLE story IN love nikki, wouldnt make sense too, because of what happens to Miraland in 680. Its kinda confusing and maybe I explained it bad-

Thoughts and opinions on Rose Garden/ Poem of White Feather

Kinda late but this is the newest and current event on our server, Rose Garden and is a packing event that costs 1944 💎

I honestly really like this suit! I’m a huge sucker for pigeon style dresses that are elaborate and look luxurious (even tho I probably wouldn’t ever be able to afford them irl) and this suit fits the bill! I love that both posed and unposed hairs are flown and the makeup just looks so serene! I absolutely adore the owls and love that there may be some hidden lore to this suit because it’s literally Miss Kate!

Like she first had cats and she got herself some owls?? She’s really living life to its fullest!

I didn’t get Miss Kate before because a) poor and b) I didn’t really like how the coat item and dress were layered. But I do think I’ll actually get at least the owls, if not the whole suit.
