Very Useful Points by Simply Search Engine Optimization Analyzer
In the event we retrospect the last decade or more, one development comes forth clearly. The individual behavior has gone via analogue to digital camera. People today consumer details as well as files through on the net processes in addition to maintain up companies should target the actual specialized niche. It truly is what exactly afforded birth to electronic advertising. Is it doesn't sole legitimate strategy for accomplishing the target viewers.
This kind of posits the particular queries the reason why and also the way on the internet reputation administration services, WEB OPTIMIZATION, SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION, for example are becoming simple. Because reported by an expert, generally there 6-8 insights that comprise the significance regarding digital camera insurance policies.
In the economy Useful
When compared with classic promotional routines, digital types get away from these pockets unscathed. Although this kind of advantage may not take into consideration heavy with conglomerates, with regard to small establishments, it truly is savior directed via paradise. Regarding start-ups and also community internet marketers going on the natural sector can be a fantasy as well as their particular assets tend to be minimal.
In such instances, using the internet to be able to contact a massive possible client basic is can prove to be life-saving. The actual icing about the cake is that this raise inside understanding does not require a huge price range. In addition, this digital camera advertising prepare can be custom to outsource to only those people pathways which can be firmly from the personal restriction.
Increased Alteration
Because of the end of the write-up, it's going to be clear of which digital camera methods have a cumulative result for the reason that organization is not only just saving money but also living through different strategies. Great example -- electronic press marketing offers which could include larger conversions.
Whenever a corporation uses marketing with email, MySeoGroupBuy.net as well as other issues with digital approaches, they will talk much better with the entire buyer and for a faster velocity. Also, as a result of digital camera routes, one can touch base, separately, to be able to these consumers that need ones service. Every one of these factors results in a more important conversion.
Organization Development
There was clearly a time while small businesses needed to fork out by means of his or her tooth to be able to get in touch with the actual wider crowd. Because discussed over, your era has modified. SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION in addition to SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMISATION is cost-effective methods for concentrating on possibilities. While this might spend less small business treasured money, in addition, it starts up many possibilities. The item provides trails associated with progress at the reduced expense.
A strong will even get into the by now proven market via social media marketing as well as generate brand consciousness. It would definitely not flip these individuals directly into marketplace market leaders; however it can unmistakably achieve an acceptable starting pool.
Better Assistance
The remarkable status administration solutions will be the gold rule when companies desire to pull through in the cut-throat competitors connected with current market. So how exactly does a company work on establishing any visible particular person? Web 2.0 and also internet sites are usually superb processes for producing personalized connection having patrons as well as offering superior support. Through messages, social websites systems and even immediate messaging software, an organization in which resolves customer grievances and also questions is route to be able to doing well.
This assist isn't just one-sided, the location where the small business solves troubles faced by the client. It is usually vice versa far too. By way of dwell shows, your company could consult the consumer with regard to strategies in addition to enhancements in items which often may result in constructive interactions.
youtube
Building Self confidence
Every time a purchaser can easily get in touch with a small business through a social networking site along with obtain an answer very quickly, the idea results in believe in. Your graphic which is internal your head in the client can be connected with assurance and consistency. Almost any likely patron that scans or maybe vistas the actual swap is usually more likely to change.
A different approach where a digital promoting develops warranty is actually customer testimonials. Buyers could rate some sort of goods and services upon numerous on the net tools and this can be go through simply by some others. This particular enhances the reputation of the company while offering potentials the info they should be turn.
Cellular Connectivity
Almost never recognised advantage of electronic procedures is access to those who usually are in Mobile phones. A report signifies that sites which can be mobile-friendly observe an increase inside consumers for the reason that patron involving today would like to check out products on the telephone. Any enterprise whom does not work out to produce a mobile-friendly request as well as site manages to lose over a significant swimming associated with audience.
Humongous Fee connected with Return
They are your several support beams in which get to your huge price regarding return when it comes to electronic advertising and marketing. Easy internet analytics can certainly persuade any kind of small business owner that the optimised website is offering improved ROI. The actual result might not be immediately over the website but through far more electronic mail list size along with product sales phone calls.
Some sort of review done inside a harmonious relationship using the search engines establishes that electronic advertising results in some sort of earnings mode which often almost thrice over standard procedures. Coupling all of the factors verifies in which entering the digital arena is equivalent to minting cash coming from the 1st step.
A well-known firm pertaining to digital camera marketing and advertising Chennai, Electronic digital WEB OPTIMIZATION, attests that digital camera mass media marketing works in favor of the consumer in addition to internet marketers. We are one SEM business which could demonstrate which SMO techniques perform do the job by day time. By making web sites which can be simply shareable in cellular for you to creating apps that are reactive, the repertoire addresses all this.

Immutable X: IMX Ready To ROLL?? Complete Overview!!
Nfts are great, but gas fees sure ainât, but what if there was a layer 2 protocol that could solve that problem, one built specifically for nfts well, there is, and itâs called immutable x in this video, Iâm going to give you everything you need to know about This nft infrastructure play tech, team, tokonomas competition, the whole caboodle trust me. You donât want to miss this before we enter the realm of immutable x. There are a few things that need to be said. I am not your financial advisor and anything you see or hear in this video is purely intended for your entertainment and is strictly for illustrative and demonstrational purposes, only capitol splendido. Now, if this is the first time we meet, my name is guy and crypto is what i preach.
The coin bureau is your main go-to hub for the highest quality crypto content on the scene, coins, news, tokens reviews and pretty much anything else that my imagination can stretch to. If you enjoy this type of content and love. Seeing this charming chap on your screen, then subscribe to the channel and ping that notification bell. If you please, we all know that time is of the essence, which is why iâve broken up the video timeline into different chapters. Just so, you can skip ahead to your favorite part and to the stuff that matters of course, watching until the very end is what i recommend.
Okay, Iâve said: what needs to be said? Are you set to explore immutable x? So what is immutable x? Well, itâs the first zk rollout based layer, 2 scaling solution for non-fungible tokens on Ethereum. Essentially, itâs a solution to the high gas fees and scalability issues that weâre experiencing on the Ethereum network.
When minting and trading nfts. As you no doubt know, this scalability issue is primarily because Ethereumâs current underlying proof-of-work architecture can only process up to 10 to 15 transactions per second and thus cannot withstand the amount of trading demand that this year-long nft frenzy has ignited and due to the incessant congestion. Inconsistency and network latency trading on the Ethereum blockchain has simply become unfeasible. Eth 2.0 really cannot arrive soon enough more about that.
In the description. This is where immutable x comes in. Immutable x is the fruit of a partnership between two well-established players in the blockchain and gaming development spheres, immutable and starkware, founded back in 2018 and previously known as fuel games. Immutable is a sydney-based blockchain gaming and digital asset technology company, spearheaded by brothers, james and robbie ferguson. The gaming and nft focused immutable raised 2.
million dollars in a seed round of july 2018, led principally by nirvana capital and continue capital with participation from coinbase ventures. Subsequently, in september 2019, immutable raised an additional 15 million dollars in a series, a funding round led by heavyweight vcs such as galaxy digital. This was in order to grow its in-game nft ecosystem and develop its flagship game gods. Unchained, then, in september of this year, immutable raised a whopping 60 million dollars in a series b round, spearheaded by gaming and esports vc bitcraft, with participation from other heavyweight entities such as alameda research, airtree ventures and vaynerfund, to name just a few okay. So thatâs the first component of the immutablex equation.
Next, we have starkware starkware industries is an israeli-based startup that provides scalable blockchain technology for apps and dapps startware was founded in 2018 by eli ben sasson, uri kolodny and michael ryabsev. In may of 2018. The company raised six million dollars in a seed round led by pantera capital, metastable and polychain capital. It also had participation from notable individuals in the blockchain space such as vitalik buterin, yep, the v-dog himself and arthur brightman from tezos. Then later that year it raised an additional 30 million dollars in a series, a round led by paradigm sequoia capital and coinbase ventures.
In march of 2021, the company raised another 75 million dollars in a series b, funding round led by paradigm, and only last month, starkware raised another 50 million dollars in a series c funding round, led by sequoia, giving the israeli company a valuation of two billion dollars. Apart from immutable x, starkwareâs scaling solutions are currently being implemented in a variety of blockchain products, including the dydx and diversified dexes, as well as the nft fantasy football card game sauro. Now the aim of this immutable and starkware partnership was to create a next generation platform that could battle the incessantly high gas fees on the ever-congested ethereum network and thus x appears to be the ultimate technical culmination of starkwear scaling, knowledge and immutables gaming and nft aspirations. However, you might be wondering why these two big players chose ethereum for the development of immutable x. In the first place i mean, couldnât immutable x simply have gone with polygons hermes, zk roll-up architecture or even solanaâs incredibly efficient throughput functionality for the development of its nft ecosystem.
Well, there is a very good reason for that, as previously mentioned trading, erc 721 nfts or any erc20 token, for that matter on, the ethereum network is quite frankly, a nightmare. At the moment, the ethereum network at present processes approximately 150 000 nft transactions per day. Taking up almost 30 percent of network usage, having said that, the market for non-fungible tokens is growing at such a rapid pace in terms of both cultural and economic awareness, that the need for a sustainable scaling solution for ethereum is becoming ever more dire. According to the immutable x white paper, nft trading volume has grown from 13.7 million dollars in the first half of 2020 to approximately 2.
billion dollars in the first half of 2021, and the most staggering thing about this is that weâre currently only scratching the surface when It comes to the utility depth and potential of nft technology in business d5, fine art and much much more already weâre seeing mainstream artists launch nft projects. Major brands such as adidas enter the space with the board 8 yacht club, for instance, nike with a metaverse sneaker studio, and existing d5 protocols such as uni swap use non-fungible tokens to bolster their financial applications. Now, despite the increasing amount of nft marketplaces and protocols on a multitude of different chains, the unrivaled pioneering force and the most liquid ecosystem in the sector is without a doubt, ethereum. However, thatâs not to say that there arenât nft marketplaces being built on other blockchains and platforms. IâVe actually covered them before in a previous video of mine, which is linked to in the top right anyways, despite ethereumâs dominance in the market overall, and the clear demand for nfts ethereum inherently has some substantial hurdles to overcome in order to be the ultimate nft platform.
One that can scale to a global audience and withstand that level of transaction volume, and this is precisely where immutable x, with its high-tech, zk roll-up system comes in now when it comes to the fundamental implementation of immutable lexus technology, both immutable and starkware agree with vitalik ButerinâS argument that quote the ethereum ecosystem is likely to be all in on rollups as a scaling strategy for the near and mid-term future. In fact, immutablex believes that nft users and developers shouldnât have to choose between either the security or the network effect of ethereum. So immutablex has implemented a new layer, 2 scaling solution that combines nft, specific exchange and proof logic with a sophisticated roll-up technology developed by starkware called starkx. Okay. Now, what iâm about to say might sound a bit complex but bear with me.
The core architecture of immutablex relies on what is called a zero knowledge, roll-up or zk roll-up scaling engine. So, letâs briefly discuss zk roll-ups first, shall we? This should give you guys a clearer picture of whatâs going on here. In essence, zero knowledge roll-ups, together with optimistic rollups, are an integral component of layer 2 scalability. This is a collective term used for blockchain solutions designed to help scale an application by handling and processing transactions off of the layer, 1 ethereum mainnet in order to boost functionality and network efficiency.
Now, the way they work is as follows: zero knowledge, roll-ups, essentially bundle or roll up hundreds of transactions off-chain and generate a cryptographic proof of validity for those transactions known as a succinct, non-interactive argument of knowledge or snark, which is then posted on the layer. One blockchain as a proxy, in contrast to the optimistic roll-up systems being developed by optimism and arbitrary, for instance, which assume that all bundle transactions are valid and post them on layer 1 without performing any initial computation whatsoever. Zk roll up smart contracts verify that the transactions rolled up on layer 2 are inherently legitimate, which means that the system is always in a valid and arguably more secure state. Now, while i would say that zk roll ups proofs perhaps offer greater security than optimistic rollups, they are inherently less scalable, but thatâs perhaps a topic for another video, perhaps one by yours truly anyway, still with me so far by the way, iâll link to all these Resources in the description, if you want to come back to them later, moving on, though immutablex is able to reach unprecedented nft scalability on ethereum, primarily because it implements a proprietary, zk roll up technology called a stark proof or succinct, transparent argument of knowledge, as opposed to The more commonly used snarks, if you love acronyms, youâve, come to the right place. Eh now, starks much like snarks can prove something is true without actually having to reveal what it is proving making the block validation process, far more streamlined and enabling greater scalability gains.
For example, starks would allow me to verify vitalikâs banking information using a zero knowledge proof instead of him revealing the confidential information. To me now, an interesting comparison to be made here is between polygons hermes, snark zk roll up system and immutable xâs stark proof. Immutable x leverages stark proofs as opposed to snarks, because the latter require a trusted and often more centralized setup to produce modular and pre-generated keys to validate proofs. These are also at times prone to security and implementation issues, stark proofs instead completely remove that pre-existing setup. Now, of course, this is not to say that iâm not a polygon fan, because i most certainly am, as most of you will know already, and i even hold matic as part of my personal portfolio.
Moreover, polygonâs existing hermes snark proof can already deliver massive scalability solutions which, according to its developers, can scale ethereum up by a factor of 133 process over 2 000 layer 2 transactions in a single batch and deliver over 90 reductions in token transfer costs, starkwareâs proprietary, zk Roll up technology, on the other hand, can deliver scalability gains of up to 9000 transactions per second by implementing its stark system. This meets and greatly exceeds the scaling requirements for mainstream nft projects, reduces the carbon footprint of the slow and clunky nft minting on layer, 1 and ultimately, optimizes user experience on ethereum for nft and in-game asset trading, iâll leave resources for starkwareâs, innovative zk, roll-up tech in The description down below okay now i know that was a lot to take in. But my main point here is that there is a lot of high-tech infrastructure behind immutable x, which gives it some key usability advantages when it comes to this usability developers. Looking to mint nfts on its platform can do so directly on layer 2, while also maintaining the security of layer 1 ethereum. This makes the whole process cost effective and incredibly swift.
Now it is important to note, though, that users looking to trade nfts on immutable x will require a specialized key pair called a stark key pair, but donât fret this is really easy to acquire. And hereâs how immutable x has developed a trustless intermediate layer called link to act as the medium between any ethereum wallet and the immutablex protocol users will thus need to sign a security message before executing any nft trade on immutablex. This will then be used as the seed for the generation of the userâs own stark key pair, which in turn will be used to sign all on-chain transactions. Another key note is that immutablex provides users with a shared global order book to enhance protocol liquidity, which means that orders created on one integrated marketplace can be filled on another which fosters a more effective liquidity bootstrapping process and allows for greater price discovery for that marketplaceâs Own nft assets. In essence, this allows nft marketplaces built on immutablex to gain access to sustained amounts of underlying liquidity, which naturally facilitates the process of buying and selling assets and increases the tradability of the nfts.
Furthermore, unlike most blockchain protocols, immutablex currently supports all ethereum desktop wallets without forcing users to switch networks or limiting them to the application of one single wallet allowing for the creation of a thriving third party, nft marketplace ecosystem, which leads me on to my next point. The immutable x marketplace, apart from offering software development kits and apis for businesses and developers to integrate its nft infrastructure immutablex, has developed its own in-house nft marketplace. This marketplace can be accessed through the official website portal, where users can browse through its vast list of collections and one-of-one nfts analyze. Each collectionâs rarity features and view their current floor prices. Here, users can buy, sell and hold nfts without custodial risk.
In fact, all thatâs required to do so is an ethereum desktop wallet, some eth, usdc or native imx tokens, and thatâs pretty much it. Naturally, itâs important to note that immutablex takes a protocol fee for its integration, but it does allow users to set their own custom royalty fees, and these customization features are a major plus, especially as it pertains to user onboarding and future ecosystem development and adoption immutable x Takes a two percent fee on all primary sales which, when compared to some of the fees on other existing nft markets in the space, is pretty reasonable. In my opinion, in fact, this isnât too far off from open seas. Fee structure, which is set at 2 5 percent on all primary sales and allows creators to set a royalty of up to 10 on all nft transfers. IâLl leave a link to my openc video in the description.
If youâd like to learn more now when it comes to marketplace development, immutablexâs in-house nft marketplace has seen some exponential growth in terms of collections and assets listed over the course of the last few months, with more and more nfts being added on a regular basis. The earliest collections to appear on the marketplace were immutableâs own gods, unchained and guild of guardians, in-game nfts and the rather colourful moody, crows collection check out those beaks. These were soon followed by the 80s inspired and muscular astro bros and mutablexâs own crypto, punk and board 8 yacht club inspired collections. Take the degenerate ape academy on salon art, for instance. Now perhaps one of the most eye-catching collections listed on the marketplace is the tick-tock top moments collection, as its name suggests, this is tick tockâs.
First, ever nft collection led and designed by some of its community defining creators and iâm fully expecting other social media behemoths to enter the space soon. Oh wait. Instagram has only just announced that it intends to explore and potentially enter the nft ecosystem to reward its creator. Community, this should come as no surprise after the recent major rebranding of instagramâs parent company facebook to meta platforms in late october. Now, the nft ecosystem that instagram may end up embracing still remains a mystery.
However, it could very well be immutable x, primarily because of its scaling functionalities, carbon neutrality and institutional financial backing. I do find this particularly intriguing, especially because having the two biggest social media powerhouses officially venture into the nft space and launch their own collections. Once again, just makes me even more confident with regards to the growing influence that nfts are poised to have on our daily lives. Another noteworthy partnership is the one between immutablex and the digital collectibles marketplace fever. The partnership comes as a result of a comeyâs aspiration to deliver more scalable nfts to its audience, and on december, the 16th vevay announced the re-minting of over three million collectibles through immutable x.
In addition to this, back in march of this year, openc announced that it would integrate immutable x in its nft marketplace and, while the details for this are yet to be fully finalized, i simply cannot wait to see the largest marketplace operate in a completely gas-free manner. Now, iâd like to raise another interesting and perhaps more speculative point here, and that is the potential integration of immutable x with coinbaseâs own highly anticipated nft marketplace now. My reasoning behind this stems from the fact that coinbase ventures invested heavily in immutablex, and this inevitably leads me to the assumption that coinbase may want to incorporate and leverage immutablexâs scalability features for the expansion of its very own nft ecosystem. I mean it seems logical, and it really would make sense, so do keep an eye on that and now this brings me on to the next most important component of the immutablex ecosystem, and that is of course the imx token imx is an erc20 utility token, primarily Built for the purposes of rewarding pro network activities on immutable x, which include liquidity, provision trading and building applications, immutablexâs native token, imx has three main utilities, as itâs used for fees staking and decentralized governance. Now, 20 of immutableâs protocol fees must be paid in imx, which can be either paid directly in imx tokens or, alternatively, immutable will automatically swap the purchase asset like eth, for instance, for imx on the open market.
This essentially means that users arenât technically required to hold imx tokens in order to trade on the immutablex nft marketplace as it pertains to staking all imx tokens derived from the 20 protocol fee are sent to a staking rewards pool which distributes tokens proportionally between all network Users who are actively staking their imx tokens on immutable x and finally, the imx token acts as an entry ticket to the ecosystemâs decentralized governance. Voting structure, which may include voting on proposals such as token reserve allocations, developer grants and changes in token supply. Imx has a total supply of 2 billion tokens with the tokens being created, issued and distributed by digital world nfts, a partner of immutablex now, based on the information available on both coin market cap and coin gecko imx has a current circulating supply of 188 million tokens And these are provisionally allocated to these areas here, judging by the current token unlock frequency of 28 days and the expected four year long token, distribution paired with the projectâs long-term development aspirations. I do expect imx to perform strongly in the near future and in the mid-term which leads me on to price. Imx is up over 25 x since it launched in early november after it peaked at almost 60 x.
From its ico, price imx held its initial exchange, offering on coin list on september, the 8th at a price of 15 cents per token, and given that imx is currently trading over four dollars, that ico certainly paid early investors handsomely. The token is currently listed on some of the most liquidity-rich and well-established exchanges such as coinbase, kucoin and ftx, among others, and it enjoys a healthy and substantial amount of trading volume. The announcement of imxâs listing on both coinbase and ftx sent the token into price discovery. Pretty quickly, but since then, it has experienced a few major pullbacks from its all-time high. This was, of course, to be expected, as it gradually started, coming off its initial hype cycle, given its tokenomics imx, currently sits at a fully diluted market cap of over nine billion dollars, which is pretty high, especially for a project this young, and thatâs just one of My concerns, which brings me on to some of the challenges it could face while immutable x, does have first mover advantage in the development of the first scalable layer 2 solution for ethereum nfts.
It is bound to inevitably face some fierce competition from other protocols looking to deliver similar infrastructures and while immutablexâs proprietary architecture is at the cutting edge when it comes to nfts other existing scaling solutions such as those optimistic roll-ups developed by the likes of arbitrarium and optimism, Or even polygons hermes, zk roll-ups could very well come to challenge immutablexâs future adoption in the space. You also have to consider the fact that the ethereum network itself is going through a bunch of changes. Next year, changes like a transition to proof of stake and eventually sharding. If these changes lead to the improved scalability, many are hoping for it could slightly negate the dire need for layer 2 scaling solutions. This is a challenge all layer 2s face and not just those built for nfts.
Another key point to note here is immutable, xâs extremely ambitious roadmap. Now the team believes that it will be able to successfully bring nfts to mainstream adoption, to create a seamless bridge for traditional businesses and online economies to integrate nft technology within their ecosystems. However, this inherently means that its long-term success will be almost entirely contingent on other high-tier companies adopting and integrating it within their respective business models. While there appears to be a lot of hype around it right now, there are many who think we could be in a bit of a bubble. I personally think that we are due an nft correction at some point.
All markets go through these and itâs healthy to flush out the low quality pardon my french site. If we do go through such a period, demand for minting and trading nfts is likely to wane, which could impact on adoption of layer, twos and nft technology. More generally. So be aware that the success of immutable x is inextricably tied to the nft space, and thatâs all i have for the video on immutable x today, guys, while this nft frenzy cannot possibly last forever. All i will say is that over the last couple of months, or so, iâve been diving deep down, that non-fungible rabbit hole and iâm growing ever more intrigued by how fast-paced the nft space actually is.
I wasnât expecting a layer, 2 solution designed specifically for nfts to come out so quickly, but with blockchain and especially nfts, perhaps expecting the unexpected is the best strategy to adopt all in all. What immutable x is building makes perfect sense to me, because, if nfts are going to be around in the long run, they are going to require a solid scalable and efficient infrastructure for them to continue thriving. But while immutablex is currently at the helm of the layer, 2 nft space, i do also foresee a variety of other new up-and-coming protocols looking to deliver similar tech and scaling solutions. But all things considered, thatâs all right, the more the merrier right, ultimately, the future of blockchain and of nfts in my opinion, should rely on interoperability, scalability and security. You can call this guyâs blockchain trilemma.
If you want chain maximalism and balkanization is simply a dead end. In my eyes, and iâm really curious to see how this space will develop in 2022 and beyond, and despite it being really early days for immutable x, its future trajectory looks very promising indeed, and who knows yours truly might decide to have his own nft marketplace, powered By mutablex one day, wow, that really was a long one, but get me started on stuff like this and i really can go on and on. But for the sake of you and for the sake of my voice, perhaps itâs best that i donât, but i want to hear from you folks now are you fans of immutable x? Do you hold any imx? Have you ever traded any nfts on the immutablex marketplace?
IâM really curious to know, so. Please drop all of your answers in the comments section down below until the next video rolls out. Emerging Trends of Master Product Management
What you need to be at the top of your game in 2019
I. THE WORLD HASÂ CHANGED
The world of Product Management is no longer changing. It has changed. At some point over the last few years we transitioned into a new way of thinking when it comes to technology. Letâs review the situation as we move into the last year of this decade.
What used to be emerging tech a decade ago has now become the de facto standard. VCs used to be enamored by SoMoLo (Social, Local, Mobile) and Gamification, but the new emerging technologies revolve around Spatial Computing. The focus now is about taking computing from behind a rectangular piece of glass and bringing it into the real world. This includes Augmented and Virtual Reality as the interface layer, Artificial Intelligence as the logic layer, and Blockchain as the emerging database layer. With 5G connectivity and the proliferation of IoT devices and sensors, we enable new things like self-driving and PokÊmon or Amazon Go.
The future of Humanizing our Tech
Our interfaces are becoming ever more invisible as we begin to wear our computers. AirPods in the ear and speaking to voice assistants like Siri and Alexa our in the world or at home. Even physical touch interfaces went from some-of-the-time with smart phone taps to all-of-the-time with vibrating wearables and always-on heart rate monitoring.
Meanwhile, blue chip industrial companies are investing in SAAS-based technologies and because Wall Street no longer rewarding a gigantic sales team that has to start each quarter from zero. The sawtooth revenue curve of the past is being replaced by curves that look more like hockey sticks. Itâs not just software thatâs eating the world, itâs also their business models. Namely, moving from one-time payments to Monthly Recurring Revenue from Software as a Service. Did you know Salesforce got its start by convincing customers they shouldnât use installable CDs, but rather a website that gives them updates every day? Now this is taken for granted but changing software buying patterns was hard in the beginning.
Today, everyone has a startup or a side hustle. What we used to hear five years ago, âIâve got an idea for an appâ, is now, âIâm raising $1M on a $5M pre- and have traction with 100,000 usersâ. Wait, what? Youâre only 15 years old? Which brings us to our next point. Digital Natives, Gen Z, and yes, Millennials, have overtaken mindshare, marketing, and advertising share from the Baby Boomers. Many of us with decades of Product experience merely adopted the tech, but these individuals were born into it. Christopher Nolan, eat your heart out.
Valuations have soared since 2008, and new millionaires are minted so regularly that we now collective keep count in billions. Growth at all costs, even profits, have created an irrational exuberance the likes of which Greenspan could hardly comprehend during the go go dot-com days.
Even retailing has changed. The anchors of malls arenât seeing the foot traffic they once did, Sears is shuttering its doors and Best Buy is struggling. The reason is because we get free shipping and cheaper prices shopping online, and at least in the US, eCommerce executiveâs go-to-market strategy is simply www.amazon.com.
As we transition into the mindset of investors, we see a more modern Private Equity, new family offices sprouting up in record numbers, new regulations like the JOBS Act, and new funding mechanisms like Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) and Security Token Offerings (STOs) enabling much more capital flowing into tech than ever before. Because traditional LPs have been reading the same blogs and would rather source and diligence their own deals than pay a middle man their 2-and-20 fees, we see more demand than ever for the best deals and unique deal flow as a competitive differentiator. The leveraged buyouts of yore targeting low-growth manufacturing firms are now targeting niche software companies because the economics and multiples are better with the same consistent cash flow.
As we turn our attention to go-to-market strategies, the traditional ad budgets spent on TV and display continue to evolve more towards a universal view of a person. Spend on Influencers have shifted from Movie Stars and Athletes to the Kardashians, and then to micro-influencers, and now to pico-influencers with 500 followers who are all personal connections. Itâs the word-of-mouth virality that spells success for many products, after all. GDPR regulations that came online in mid 2018 means every website we now visit has a horribly thick bottom bar overtaking our screens. As a result of all this hypertargeting, user tracking, and dynamic content, the user experience of the web has decreased dramatically, especially when including abysmal loading times resulting from excessive overuse of Javascript. Did you know there are now 7,000 MarTech startups, up from 5,000 only a few short years ago, creating a bewildering amount of programmatic ad choices, and ever-increasing customer acquisition costs. The result being building quality product mechanics for incenting organic virality and engagement are 10x harder than they used to be.
Finally, thereâs a resurgence of interest around outer space and private rocket companies. Space Tech is a thing and with falling prices of launches by Blue Origin and SpaceX, the cubesat subsector will ultimately enable next-generation cellular connectivity from space. This is how the other 50% of humanity gets internet access while also being a source of cash for the burgeoning New Space industry in desperate need of investment.
II. THE WINNERS & THEÂ LOSERS
Taken together, weâre all playing a whole new ballgame. The playing field has become shorter while the game has become faster, and harder. Greenfield opportunities where you used to be competitive with a buggy LAMP stack and lackluster UX has even stopped working in the Enterprise. High-quality consumer apps that everyone now uses means we expect the same from all our software, including what we use at work. And desktop apps are no longer enough. The world has become smaller but weâre traveling more often and so weâd rather lose our luggage than our smart phone. We expect our work software to be just as efficient as the apps we use for play. Customers and users donât care that it takes 320 different video encoding renditions for a single video file shared behind a firewall. âItâs just a play button, why is that so hard?â They donât care how the sausage is made, expect perfect connectivity and high-resolution streaming. And expect it to be as cheap as YouTube.
We have reached a significant milestone for humanity. Half the human population is connected to the internet, mostly with mobile phones, and everyone is in search of the next gigantic growth product. Skill and talent has blossomed in unexpected markets around the world. France is a key global spot for world-class software development, Africa is emerging as a new startup capital learning from the likes of the Valley and Singapore, while China and the US are in an AI arms race for powering the world of our future. Information is shared in tiny bursts through text messages and short-form videos, with the entire world is trying to steal market share of eyeball for their Monthly Active Users.
At this point you may be feeling a bit down, wondering why you should even consider starting a new project. With the degree of difficulty steadily marching up-and-to-the-right, what hope do you have for standing out in a sea of competing projects, apps, sites, and initiatives?
The winners will be the ones who both Accept & Acclimate to this new world quickly. Thereâs no time to debate. The winners take action. The losers, on the other hand, will continue to exist in the Web 2.0 or, even worse, pre-connected world. Itâs true that legacy business models and declining markets have a much longer tail than anyone realizes, but itâs getting shorter.
In either case, youâre either compounding in a positive direction or a negative direction. The graphic below from Farnam Street tells the story better than any amount of words could.
Source: Farnam Street
The key insight here is that it doesnât require organization-wide adoption to reap the benefits. It only takes a single â2-pizza teamâ, as Jeff Bezos famously states, to kickstart action in the right direction. But whom you pick for those teams makes all the difference in the world.
So it begs the question: with a discipline as varied and misunderstood as Product Management, how can we begin to slice the skill sets required to determine the right person for the first project but also the second? Is it a mini-CEO, a turnaround genius, a mobile app maven with hundreds of daily builds, or a growth hacking expert whoâs earned the stripes from a decade in the trenches? As a high-performing Product Officer, you need all of these next-level skills to stay at the top of the capabilities mountain.
The Product winners understand the importance of spending the time and budget to go find the right talent before doing anything else. The team is the single biggest difference maker between 2x and 10x. The Product losers, on the other hand, focus on business as usual and going with whomever is a phone call away, whether or not they have the requisite skills required to execute in this new world.
III. THE PROMISEDÂ LAND
But what does it look like to win? It means youâve got a successful project on your hands. Your KPIs are up, the product is working, the team is energized, and the kudos stream in from around the internal organization and external community. Most importantly, your revenue and/or users are growing with a healthy k-factor above 1. The A/B testing and Cohort analysis is paying off once you found the correlation between Retention and Engagement. Youâve maintained quality and are in a great repeating cadence of 1) customer development, 2) agile design and development, and 3) continuous deployment and retrospectives.
Master-level Product Management means that the compounding flywheel effect applies to your product, but also the operations of your team, whether thatâs a small 3-person group or a large 10,000 person global conglomerate.
A well-run machine is the opposite of chaos. Youâve developed esoteric metrics, like how many Slack messages are sent and how many files are sent back and forth to tell you how good the team is working together and how high-quality the work product is. And of course, that the entire group works backwards from the customer or user, and not forwards from the technology, unless weâre in Hard Tech territory like Quantum Computing.
Master Product Managers have been doing all these things for years but as we move towards 2020, a new set of skills has emerged.
IV. TOP 3% PRODUCT MANAGEMENT MASTERYÂ FEATURES
Below are the top things you need to execute on to maintain your role as one of the best Product Managers in the world, or in identifying them for your next project.
Focus on one KPI: Revenue. Paul Graham of YC fame said a Startup could be defined by a sigle word: growth. Projects and businesses can also be defined by such a word. If the business is not making money, then eventually it ceases to exist. So, for any Master Product Manager, the starting base-level KPI for any project must have Revenue in it somewhere. Even a consumer app with MAU as a metric eventually needs to become self-sufficient at some point. You can choose a monthly subscription fee (Netflix) which has gained popularity above the one-time purchase to match ongoing revenue with ongoing costs, or an ad-supported model (Facebook) to sustain itself. Pricing strategy is understood as a key component of this. If you double the price and demand decreases by less than half, then you just created additional revenue growth with nearly zero marginal cost. In short, the right Product also has the right Price. Note that weâre leaving aside Not-for-Profits as they have a different motivation and core KPI, which would typically center around positive impact, measured by Human, Animal, or Environmental improvement.
Understand and design business models, especially applying them in new ways. A project starts by answering the question of âWho buys what from whom, for how much, and why?â For a lemonade stand, the answer is: a customer buys lemonade from us for $1 because sheâs thirsty and weâre located right next to the park she walks her dog at. There are a limited set of business models that exist, like Remove-the-Middle-Man or Give-Away-the-Razor-To-Sell-the-Blade. Flipping standard business models on their head creates new insights and the Master Product Manager has a list of them at the ready with examples. One such example is the new online school that kept the definition of the customer the same (the student), but shifted when the student pays. Instead of paying every semester for classes as a big up-front cost for a buyer with very little money, this startup shifted the cost for the student to a percentage of salary for the first two years after graduation. Of course, the school makes a promise that they will help the student get placed. So, the novel insight here was shifting the business model to a transaction fee of the benefit rather than an up-front fixed cost. Payment processors have been using this model for some time. You submit an invoice to someone and in return for a company processing that payment, youâre willing to give them a fee because itâs small compared to the amount of money you just earned. Itâs the same concept, now applied to a different industry: education. Gamification and Incentive design also play a part and have been recognized widely in the tech community since the days of Foursquare and Gowalla. Today, with the emergence of Initial Coin Offerings and its successor, Security Token Offerings, creating an app that becomes an economy means a Master Product Manager needs to understand the intricacies of micro and macroeconomics down to the granular level of âHow do users earn tokens?â and âWhere do users spend tokens?â. In the beginning of Bitcoin, for instance, it was much easier to acquire the cryptocurrency than it was finding who would accept it as payment. Thus, supply, demand, and transactions are important for unleashing value creation and developing a healthy economy. See Metcalfeâs Law for more.
Position Brand as a key differentiator. A brand is not a logo or a design. A brand is how it makes you feel. Apple feels different than Google which feels different than Facebook or Amazon. They do different jobs for their users, but itâs wisely said that the money in a companyâs bank account is really just a physical measure of the trust that their customers or users have in the organization. People spend more money and return more often to brands they love. Today, when consumers are much less brand loyal and are willing to switch providers and products on a dime based on the service they receive (i.e., how it makes them feel), getting Brand right is a big deal.
Executes as CEO of the Product and the real CEO. As the world moves faster, demands of shareholders and the team become larger, and quality-at-speed becomes the new standard, CEOs and Founders are spread more thin than ever. Master Product Managers understand the intricacies of the entire business, not just their own product, in order to successfully deliver on where the puck is heading. They can run the business if the CEO was on leave for a month, they see around corners, understand where the industry is headed, talk with the Board and investors, raise capital while maintaining cost controls, hire grade-A talent, work with adjacent industries to establish new critical Business Development opportunities, and execute capital allocation strategies. See the book Outsiders by William Thorndike for more on how the top 8 public company CEOs over the last half century allocate capital.
Embed social and moral ethics into the atomic unit of the product. MNI Targeted Mediaâs study showed that more than 50% of Gen Z (i.e., between age 3 and 23) favor a brand who is socially conscious, so the $4B in buying power they have today will transform into tens of billions more when they reach full maturity. Master Product Managers not only act as technology builders, but as an ethical voice of the product and organization as well. They are not afraid to raise a red flag, take a stand, and stick to whatâs right and just. Even the CEO of the most valuable brand in the world, Tim Cook, has taken stands for human rights and privacy, total shareholder return be damned (though studies have shown it actually helps). In addition, while operating ethically within business has long been a subset of the standard CFA exam, it is a growing requirement when news spreads around the world in an hour, and talent has the ability leave in a momentâs notice to work for anyone from anywhere. Long-term relationships matter because the apprentice of today will be the master of tomorrow, and reputations are written in stone on the internet.
Has smooth PR and media presentation skills. Master Product Managers know how to talk to the media about the product succinctly. A ârepeatable sound biteâ is just another way of saying âviral marketingâ. Because if the viewer canât remember it and repeat it, that alone can negatively impact the productâs k-factor. Today, the builder is more important than ever, as itâs less the CEO talking about the product and more about the the trade-offs the people building it had to make. Jony Ive is a hot commodity because the way he thinks is a leading indicator of what gets built. Great Product people are comfortable on camera, and donât use the âumsâ, âya knowsâ, and âlikesâ that have become so prevalent in spoken conversation. As the steward of the product, you represent the product both on camera and on social, whether or not your profile says, âmy thoughts donât reflect my employerâ. Again, who you are definitely becomes what you build, especially when customers and users care so much about what Products do with their data, they research who the people are behind them. In terms of efficient communication, a former McKinsey consultant, Barbara Minto, literally wrote the book on it, called âThe Minto Pyramid Principleâ. She teaches you the way to craft concise memos, reports, presentations, and talking points for a short attention span audience. World-class product people study not just the art of Judo, but also the subtle art of communication.
Exist outside the tech bubble. There are 7.5 billion human beings in the world. These are the users and customers of your product. They have feelings, stresses, and relationships that machines donât have. Understanding consumer behavior is arguably the most critical aspect of any product. The Job-To-Be-Done framework must also include something new called The-Feeling-It-Creates framework. Is your product about saving time, money, and stress, or is it about escape, fun, and entertainment? As an example, BJ Foggâs Behavior Model was used almost entirely as the core product mechanic for Instagram, because Kevin Systrom took his class at Stanford and remembered it when investing his product from location-centric to image-centric. Dale Carnegieâs famous book, âHow to Win Friends and Influence Peopleâ is another great resource as is Chip Heathâs book, âMade to Stickâ. These are all now table stakes. Understanding human consciousness, and the move towards mindfulness are necessary requirements for building a product that moves past addiction, and into transcendence. Technology always changes, but humans never do.
IV. IS THIS POSSIBLE & WHATâSÂ NEXT?
What weâve laid out here may seem overwhelming, especially for those Product people just entering the discipline. But because the best Product people are ruthless prioritization experts, and agile enough to climb seemingly insurmountable challenges, we believe this gets the best and the brightest excited.
This is a juicy new problem to solve, and a new vector for investing in ourselves and our discipline. âGive me more to learn!â we hear some of our close friends in the industry constantly saying.
So, yes, it is possible. Similar to the documentary, Jiro Dreams of Sushi, the mountain of mastery reaches ever higher, and even after seven decades spent as a master, itâs an unreachable target. So, if youâre more junior, or know nothing about Product, but need someone who does, youâve come to the right place.
The subtleties in Products often end up making the most difference but can take decades of experience to uncover. Thankfully, this is where many of the top Product people in the world call home, to work together, and learn from each other.
We are equally as excited as we are humbled, to build the products that influence future generations.

Probabil le-a plÄcut vocea mea.
Samsung Galaxy S8+ (G955F)
Display Super AMOLED 6.2ⳠÎn format 18.5 : 9, rezoluţie 1440 x 2960, Gorilla Glass 5;
Chipset Exynos 8895 Octa-core 4 x 2.35 GHz + 4 x 1.9 GHz; Mali G71 MP20 Ĺi 4 GB RAM;
Stocare internÄ de 64 GB Ĺi slot pentru card microSD;
CamerÄ foto principalÄ de 12 MP, f/1.7, filmare 2160p@30fps sau 1080p@60fps;
CamerÄ foto secundarÄ de 8 MP, f/1.7, filmare 1440p@30fps;
Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, cÄĹti AKG, USB 3.1 Type C;
Cititor de amprente, de iris, de puls, recunoaĹtere facialÄ, busolÄ, barometru;
Baterie de 3.500 mAh, Quick Charge 2.0;
Android 7.0, asistent Bixby, compatibilitate Samsung DeX;
RezistenĹŁÄ la apÄ;
#gallery-0-62 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-62 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 20%; } #gallery-0-62 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-62 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
#gallery-0-63 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-63 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 16%; } #gallery-0-63 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-63 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
#gallery-0-64 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-64 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 20%; } #gallery-0-64 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-64 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
#gallery-0-65 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-65 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 16%; } #gallery-0-65 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-65 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
#gallery-0-66 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-66 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 25%; } #gallery-0-66 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-66 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
#gallery-0-70 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-70 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 25%; } #gallery-0-70 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-70 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */

Xiaomi Impresses with Their Latest Launch
Xiaomi may not be the first brand that people in the US think of for smartphones, but they are ranked at #4 worldwide behind Samsung, Huawei, and Apple. Their smartphones have garnered praise from stateside reviewers for having excellent cameras, best-in-class features, and, most importantly, affordability. But Xiaomi makes more than just smartphones; they also sell home, health, and lifestyle products that include routers, fitness bands, LED desk lamps, air purifiers, and electric scooters, to name just a few.
This morning, Xiaomi hosted a virtual Ecosystem Product Launch event. The event kicked off with Shou Zi Chew, President of International at Xiaomi, on stage with a nod to the upheaval and uncertainty in these trying times. âWeâre in this with youâ was on the screen behind him. He said that since February, Xiaomi had sent aid to over 37 countries, and they have donated around 2.5 million masks, gloves, ventilators, and other emergency medical supplies. He implored us all to âdo our part to look out for one another.â It was one of the most concise yet compassionate mentions Iâve yet seen in a product launch since the pandemic hit, and yet I was still bracing myself to hear prices that wouldnât reflect his attitude. I must have forgotten for a moment that this was a Xiaomi event; they are a company known for their fair prices. But I digress! Letâs take a moment to look at the new products Xiaomi is launching, in this, their tenth anniversary year.
Mi Smart Band 5
The Mi Smart Band 5 has is revamped with a large, 1.1âł high-resolution AMOLED display
If you are one of the (many) people who feel like a workout doesnât count if you havenât tracked it, youâll appreciate the Mi Smart Band 5 for its sleek styling and bright (450 nits) display that makes it visible even in direct sunlight. Available in black, orange, navy blue, yellow, teal, and mint green, the Mi Smart Band 5 can be personalized with over 65 different theme options through the Mi Fit app available on iOS and Android. Handling even more activities than its predecessor, the Smart Band 5 supports tracking your progress for 11 exercise types, including walking, running, yoga, jump rope, elliptical, and more. The Smart Band 5 also features easy to understand metrics from its Personal Activity Intelligence module. The Smart Band 5 offers 24/7 heart rate monitoring as well as upgraded sleep tracking; it also has an all-new stress detection with a breathing exercise function. Women can even use it to track their menstrual cycles. The Mi Smart Band 5 is rated for 5 ATMs so that it can be worn during swimming, snorkeling, and of course, showering. It comes with an easy to use magnetic charger, and it can get up to 14 days of battery life from a single charge. The Mi Smart Band 5 will start at âŹ39.99; they will also have an early bird price starting from âŹ44.99. The early bird offer is limited by time and quantity and will vary by region.
Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic
The Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic offer crystal clear calls with dual-mic environmental noise cancellation. A 1.5-hour charge results in 5 hours of battery life from the earphones, but you can quadruple their time to up to 20 hours by recharging them in their case. Each earphone can auto-pair and auto-connect with a compatible Mi phone separately for single-ear listening, and their double-tap feature enables play, pause, phone call pick-up, and voice control access. The earphones have in-ear detection, so if you remove one, your audio will automatically pause. The Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic support Bluetooth 5.0 and SBC/AAC codecs, and theyâll be great on the go or while in a Zoom call on your computer. The Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic feature reliable quality, advanced technology, and leading battery life. Most importantly, they are easy to use, and they charge via USB Type-C, so thereâs no need to carry a lone microUSB cable. They will sell for a starting price of âŹ39.99, with an early bird starting price of âŹ29.99. The early bird offer is limited by time and quantity and will vary by region.
Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2
If I lived in the city, I doubt I would own a car â but I would want an electric scooter. Not only are they fun to ride, but they can also be quite affordable and inexpensive to maintain and charge. Xiaomi is the number one scooter brand in the world, and Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 has a maximum speed of 15.5 mph, and a range of up to 28 miles â perfect for zipping around the city for quick appointments or light errands on its pneumatic tires. The Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 has a 300W brushless motor that can handle 20% incline hills, and its dual braking system includes a mechanical disc brake and an eABS regenerative anti-lock brake. Front, rear, and side reflectors help others see you; there is a brake light on the back, and there is an upgraded 2W headlamp that can illuminate your way forward up to 33Ⲡahead for nighttime riding, and there is a built-in display for ride information on the go. The foldable scooter weighs a smidge over 31 pounds, so it is easily portable when you reach your destination â or have to deal with a random set of stairs. Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 starts at âŹ499.
If you want an even less expensive scooter that is great for commuting, with a maximum speed of 15.5mph, a range of up to 18.6 miles, and that can handle 14% incline hills, there will be a Mi Electric Scooter 1S. It will have a 250W electric motor and the safety features mentioned for the Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2. It will start at âŹ399.
And there was âone more thingâ! Xiaomi has partnered with AMG Petronas Formula One Team to create the MI Electric Scooter Pro 2 Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team Edition. All we got to see was this teaser photo, but hopefully, weâll have more info on its release soon.
Mi TV Stick
Not everyone has a Smart TV, but the Mi TV Stick can transform just about any screen (or older TV with a USB port) into just that. The Mi TV Stick comes with a Bluetooth remote with dedicated buttons for swift access to Google Assistant, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video. You can also download other popular channels and apps through Google Play. The Mi TV Stick has the latest version of Chromecast embedded, so you can also cast any content from your mobile directly to the TV wirelessly. Youâll get the benefit of Dolby Audio and DTS at 1080p for streamed content, and the Mi TV Stick gas 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage to keep your show playing without interruptions when your internet hiccups. The Mi TV Stick will start at âŹ39.99.
34âł Mi Curved Gaming MonitorÂ
If your 20âł display is no longer cutting it, you might want to check out the 34âł Mi Curved Gaming Monitor. Sure, the high-resolution WQHD (3440Ă1440 pixel) screen is perfect for gaming with its 144Hz refresh rate, vivid 121% sRGB wide color gamut, and 1500R curvature for maximum immersion. But it will also handily display your photos, videos, open windows, and spreadsheets. Youâll be able to tackle work and play with ease! The 34âł Mi Curved Gaming Monitor will start at âŹ399.
But that wasnât all. Xiaomiâs âone last thingâ was the introduction of three entry-level phones with âmore.â
The Redmi 9 will feature a 6.53âł FDH+ display, Corning Gorilla Glass, Android 10, dark mode, Reading Mode 2.0, a non-slip ripple texture, and a splash-proof design. It will have a 5020mAh battery, a MediaTek Helio G80 processor, up to 4GB of LPDDRX4 RAM, 18W USBType-C fast-charging, and a Dual SIM +microSD slot for up to 512GB storage. As for cameras, the Redmi 9 will have four rear cameras, including an 8-megapixel 118Âş ultra-wide-angle camera, a 13-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 5-megapixel macro camera. It will also feature a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 1217 ultra-linear speaker, Bluetooth 5.0, a wireless FM radio, an IR blaster, and NFC. Xiaomi says that Redmi 9 is âdefinitely the entry-levelâs fastest and most powerful smartphone.â The 3GB RAM with 32 GB user memory version will sell for âŹ149, and the 4GB RAM with 64GB user memory version will sell for âŹ169.
The Redmi 9C has a 6.53âł dot drop display, a 5,000mAh battery that has been enhanced for a longer lifespan, a gaming-ready Helios G35 processor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an AI triple camera array with a 13-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The Redmi 9C will start at âŹ119 for the 2GB RAM with 32GB user memory version, and it will be âŹ139 for the 3GB RAM with 64GB user memory version. It will be available late this month.
The Redmi 9A Is described as a âhighly reliable device that wonât let you down.â It will feature a 6.53âł dot drop display, a 5,000mAh battery that has been enhanced for a longer lifespan, a Helios G25 processor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, expandable storage up to 512GB, and a 13-megapixel AI camera. The Redmi 9A will start at âŹ99 for the 2GB RAM with 32GB user memory.

In case you didnât catch it, this was the statement at the end of the video â complete with sweeping music and soaring vocals:

The Incredible Shrinking Wallet â The New York Times
As co-owner of Billykirk, a leather goods brand based in Jersey City, N.J., Chris Bray has devoted the past 20 years to hand-crafting wallets, among other accessories. He can wax philosophical about how âyour oils, your skin, your travelsâ affect the wallet that you carry around. But when Mr. Bray goes out at night, he takes just his ID, one credit card and a few business cards, tucked into a slim card case.
âSimplify your life,â he said. âNine out of ten times, if you have a bi-fold wallet, youâve got crap in there you donât need. Youâve got a ticket stub from three years ago.â
This from a man who sells bi-fold wallets in four colors. But in recent years, the physical walletâs central role in our lives has been greatly reduced, as have the size of wallets themselves. As tech companies have introduced mobile apps like Apple Pay and Google Pay in an effort to make the smartphone into a digital wallet, ârealâ ones â long a fallback of the holiday gift season â are shrinking, or disappearing altogether. Some are becoming gizmos themselves, as if to seem more current: popping out cards with the press of a button and offering benefits like locating services or radio-frequency identification (RFID) blocking, intended to protect against credit-card or identity theft.
For men, the classic multi-pocketed model is losing popularity to card cases like the one Mr. Bray carries. They arenât much bigger than a credit card, and slip easily into a front pocket.
Bernard Capulong, the co-founder and editor in chief of Everyday Carry, a menâs gear website, called them âminimalist wallets,â adding, âWhatâs popular now is as minimal as you can get.â
Shinola, a Detroit-based watch and accessories brand, sells the Slim Bifold and the Slim Bifold 2.0 for âpared-down simplicity.â The Slimwallet and Miniwallet by the Dutch company Secrid are leather-wrapped metal cases that can only comfortably hold around four cards. Brands like Ridge, Dango and Trayvax offer similar styles.
Mr. Capulong carries a leather card case by Veilance with only two pockets. âThe seams are bonded, not stitched,â he said. âSo itâs durable and minimalist. I keep maybe eight cards total and a $20 bill folded twice so it takes no space.â
Augusto Gomez, who was behind the Prada counter in the menâs arcade inside Bloomingdaleâs Manhattan flagship on a recent afternoon, said wallets still ranked as a popular gift, though there were no customers shopping for them at that moment.
âMen tend to get things we need,â Mr. Gomez said. âSmall items â key chains, wallets. Things they notice youâve had too long and itâs falling apart.â
He added, âIâd say 65 percent of men donât carry cash anymore. But some still do.â
In womenâs fashion, leather and nylon belt bags by brands like Gucci, Balenciaga and Supreme, which leave hands free, are also reducing the need for bulky purses and long wallets.
âAs bags get smaller, the easiest thing to take space away from is the wallet,â said Megs Mahoney Dusil, the founder of PurseBlog, which reviews bags and other accessories. âThe shrinking of the wallet allows for more carrying of day-to-day essential items.â
Ms. Mahoney used to carry a continental wallet â the zip-around kind with room for receipts and even a passport â but switched recently to a Gucci card case, which she slips inside a Fendi âPeekabooâ bag.
âMicro mini,â or âtoyâ bags make plain the diminished role of cash, at least for celebrities and the rich. Last month, Lizzo showed up to the American Music Awards with a Valentino bag so small the strap fit one finger. The interior was big enough to contain a single mint.
The French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus sells a 4-5inch handbag called Le Chiquito, which might hold a change purse. The absurdly tiny Le Petit Chiquito, introduced during Paris Fashion Week last February and retailing for $258, barely holds a few loose coins.
Stuffing It
For centuries, going all the way back to the introduction of paper currency in America in the late 1600s, the wallet has been a traveling bank vault and all-purpose file cabinet for men and women, a place to keep checks, cash and personal ephemera.
âI remember my dadâs wallet,â said Leland Grossman, a strategist for a Manhattan-based creative agency. âHe had receipts, cards, pictures and a million things. That was my ethos originally. I kept a folded two-dollar bill. I had a Steve Jobs quote: âStay hungry, stay foolish.ââ
A 1998 episode of âSeinfeldâ known to fans as âGeorgeâs Exploding Walletâ satirized this tendency to overstuff. The George Costanza character is carrying a wallet so engorged with random items â Irish currency; a rewards card valid at any participating Orlando-area Exxon station â that he can barely close it.
âI need everything in there,â George tells Jerry defensively at their favorite diner, before adding Sweet & Low packets to the jumble.
By the end of the episode, George is complaining that his back is killing him.
Played today, the scene would look strange, even antiquated.
âBefore, you used to carry everything in a wallet, from your medical card to store cards and receipts,â said Daniel Caudill, the creative director for Shinola. âNow, all of that lives on our phones.â
The wallet has seen its responsibilities slowly taken away. Debit cards have all but eliminated the need to carry cash. No one carries checks anymore. Receipts can be emailed. Photos and rewards cards have gone digital.
A lot of millennials and members of Gen Z no longer want to be paid in cash; they prefer payment services like Venmo, leavened by emojis, to pad their digital wallets. The future is not a hunk of cowhide in your back pocket. The future is smartphone apps, contactless cards and, ultimately perhaps, a machine that scans your brain for total frictionless life.
As if the physical wallet didnât have enough problems, thereâs now an accessory called the Wallet Slayer ($14.99): a sleeve that fits over your smartphone and holds three cards plus cash. As with phone cases before it, a luxury version cannot be far behind.
Might the wallet disappear altogether? Increasingly, businesses are no longer accepting cash. In China, big cities like Beijing and Hangzhou have already gone almost entirely cashless, requiring payment by mobile device, which has flummoxed tourists but also made wallets unnecessary.
Recently, Shinola has received requests from young urbanites to make a case to hold just one card â ID, said Mr. Caudill, the creative director. Everything else is arguably extraneous.
âItâs an aspirational dream for now,â said Mr. Capulong of Everyday Carry. âWeâre not quite there yet.â
Many retailers in the United States arenât yet set up to accept mobile payment methods, especially in areas outside big cities. There are also security concerns about having everything on one device. And old habits have a way of hanging on.
âI have Apple Pay on my phone, but I use it shockingly little,â Mr. Grossman said.
He still carries the Bottega Veneta bi-fold wallet that he bought in college, though he has streamlined its contents.
Mr. Grossman pointed to the way watches have remained a steady, if somewhat marginalized, accessory in the digital era. While wallets arenât luxury status symbols in the same way, he allowed, âYou develop wear and tear that gives it character like clothing. Itâs part of your journey. Itâs a staple of the wardrobe.â
Mr. Bray of Billykirk, who has a vested interest in the wallet sticking around, also argued for its indispensability. He said, quaintly, âYou need a place to put your stuff.â

The $799 Coinmine One Will Look Like an Xbox and Mint Crypto Money
Try as startups might, crypto mining hasnât yet had an everyman device.
Smart money, however, is betting that will change at the hands of a new company called Coinmine. Announced Wednesday, the startup is revealing its first product, the Coinmine One, a hardware device aimed at crypto enthusiasts whoâd like to earn rewards for mining blockchains â without the need to learn a new technical skill set.
Backed by investors including Coinbase Ventures and Arrington Capital, angel investors Balaji Srinivasan (now CTO of Coinbase and a former mining entrepreneur), Morgan Creek partner Anthony Pompliano and Product Hunt co-founder Ryan Hoover also participated in the undisclosed funding.
The Coinmine One will retail for $799 and start shipping in mid-December, though the company declined to give a precise date or name a specific goal for sales. Still, CEO Farbood Nivi told CoinDesk in interview that the company believes its mining product has mass-market appeal.
Nivi explained:
âWe think thereâs a market for millions, if not tens of millions.â
One investor, Chapter One Ventures, explicitly backed the project because it wants to see more ways for everyday people to get involved in supporting cryptocurrency infrastructure.
âCoinmine will democratize access to becoming a miner in a fun and approachable way that almost feels like playing a video game,â its founder, Jeff Morris, Jr., told CoinDesk.
Digging into the details
For $799, the Coinmine One will sport a miner that can generate any one of the following out of the box: ether (ETH) at 29 Mh/sec, monero (XMR) at 900 h/sec, zcash (ZEC) at 320 h/sec and ether classic. With updates next year, it also expects to be able to run a stake for a Bitcoin Lightning node, Dfinity or Filecoin.
It uses roughly as much power (120 watts) as a PlayStation 3 during game play and runs at 40 decibels (quiet compared to the cacophony created by other mining products). With a profile like the one above, most people probably wouldnât be horrified about it being visible in a room that a guest might visit.
More importantly, in an effort to make the product as user-friendly as possible, the system will be automatically updated as changes are made on the protocol and as more coins become available. Users will be able to monitor their earnings and manage them using an Android or iOS app (seen below).
If the company is right and consumers love it, donât look for todayâs mining hobbyists to agree. Thereâs nothing about its specs that compares to other miners sold on the market today that those much more tech savvy users are using. Coinmine Oneâs hash rate is much lower than those devices, and the price for its hash rate is higher.
But these issues, Nivi argues, miss a larger point.
Even if the current miners cost a third as much, he says they would still be out of reach to normal people: the ones who donât know how to set them up or lack a place to store and operate hardware heats up quickly and generates a lot of noise. And they wonât know how to update them when protocols change, either.
Nivi and his company are betting, therefore, that there are people who want a way to participate in mining but want a lower path of entry. Another way to think of Coinmine is that itâs building on the market concept proven by what Honeyminer runs on PCs.
The CEO emphasizes the fact that the Coinmine One will remove some of the hardest work from users. He said: âThe one thing thatâs consistent in crypto is that itâs constantly changing and evolving. Coinmine is the only solution that makes it possible to continually be a part of that.â
Home mining is hard
That said, the business of selling home miners has not gone well historically.
Names like Butterfly Labs, Alpha Technology and GAW Miners comprise just part of a long history of mining product makers that didnât stand the test of time (or didnât devolve into outright fraud).
Other companies failed to balance the production-intensive process of making hardware with the demands of retail customers â particularly when the making of that hardware didnât go according to plan. Even those that played the game by the book were unable to survive for the long-term, especially when contending with the downturn in cryptocurrency prices in 2015.
Case in point: a little piece of home mining history wrapped up this year when Josh Garza was convicted of wire fraud.
Garzaâs company, GAWMiners, first made its mark by reselling imported mining equipment, and later expanded its business by hosting miners and then, later, offering so-called âvirtual minersâ that were later deemed securities.
Ultimately, it was Bitmain â with its economy-of-scale, access to cheap power and operation of mining services on both the hardware and software side â that came out on top, though other companies have emerged with possible competitive edges. And to this day, Bitmain still makes budget miners that could be affordable for a middle-class American consumer who owns a big garage (and a patient family tolerant of noise).
And yet it only takes a glance at any of these products to see an immediate difference from Coinmine One. ASIC miners look like enormous shoe boxes with a fan in a cage stuck to one end, like something that really doesnât belong anywhere but a garage (unless someone wants to try to use one as a way of providing electric heating, an approach CoinDesk once proposed).
More importantly, the prior generation of miners look like companies took their pro versions and scaled them down a bit in price, noise and voltage, without fundamentally rethinking the design or user experience.
âIf you go and buy these crypto devices online they sound like there is a vacuum cleaner running constantly,â Nivi said.
At 40 decibels, the Coinmine One shouldnât even be noticeable, and, with its low electricity consumption, a userâs utility bills shouldnât jump aggressively. Which isnât to say that the business will be any easier, but it does support their case that the devices exist in a new category.
The HODLer Argument
The evolution of miners from home-based enthusiasts to industrial-scale behemoths highlights the fundamental business model of a miner: a kind of arbitrage where profits are made when the cost of energy is lower than the return on the cryptocurrencies mined and sold.
But Nivi argues that the Coinmine One is intended technology enthusiasts rather than profit seekers â as in, people who want to try out different protocols and interact with the communities behind them â while also having some skin in the game. More broadly, itâs for people with a long-time horizon who arenât focused on making enough cash to keep the lights on and miners humming.
The Coinmine One isnât single-use hardware, either. That said, it can only run one of a few proof-of-work tokens at a time. With forthcoming updates, it will also be able to run one of several proof-of-stake tokens as well.
This differentiates it from most other miners, built to mine as much as possible of just one coin. Take for example these two ETH miners. They cost twice as much but they also deliver about six times more hash power.
That might make it sound like Coinmine One is a bad deal, but that depends on a personâs situation. Someone living in an urban apartment, for example, could never run one of those miners, even if they could afford it.
The startup appears to be aiming to create a new product category in the mining sector.
âThe real magic of the product is the software and hardware compatibility, which reminds me of Nest or Ring,â Morris told CoinDesk, referring to the unicorn startups that built mobile-enabled home thermostat and home security devices. Each were subsequently acquired at unicorn valuations, by Google and Amazon, respectively.
Even still, is the Coinmine One worth it?
One danger some users might foresee is that lots of people will buy it making the tokens it mines less lucrative for each miner. Nivi points out that they will keep adding new tokens, giving users options. Furthermore, though, he also contends that more miners means more value for what miners do earn.
âWhile more people mining a coin can decrease the amount of coins you earn, it also increases the value of the network,â he said.
Normally, in discussion of mining equipment, users calculate how long it will take them to recoup their capital expenditure in fiat from earnings in crypto. In conversation with CoinDesk, Nivi rejected that short-term analysis.
He said:
âIf youâre doing this from home, itâs bad advice to buy and sell. You really should hold. Youâre holding and waiting for it to 10X, 100X or 1000X.â

The Race for the Cross-Border Payments Market
Competition in the business of facilitating cross-border payments has just gotten tighter. Until recently, the primary fintech challenger to the reigning SWIFT international payment system has been Ripple Labs and its various products designed for the institutional banking sector. The first week of September saw the game-changing news break, as IBMÂ announced promotion of its DLT-powered payment system, Blockchain World Wire (BWW), from beta to a ready-for-use product.
Operating on the Stellar blockchain, the new financial rail will provide an infrastructure for clearing and settling cross-border payments with finality âin near real-time,â at the same time reducing transaction costs by removing third-party intermediaries from the process. Pervasiveness of IBM-powered solutions in global finance â the company claims to be handling around 60 percent of the worldâs transactional systems â provides BWW with a hefty launching pad, immediately propelling it to the top tier of the industry that is poised to grow to a size of $2 trillion by 2020.
IBM and Stellar were first spotted jointly developing cross-border financial solutions in October 2017, when they unveiled a plan to build a transaction infrastructure for the South Pacific region alongside KlickEx, a New Zealand-based payments network. The news of another high-profile deployment of the Stellar blockchain by IBM came this May, when Big Blue teamed up with Veridium Labs to help companies track their carbon emissions on a distributed ledger. Finally, in July, IBM announced the launch of Stronghold USD, a U.S. dollar-pegged stable coin run on the Stellar network, in a partnership with financial services provider Stronghold. The latter move was set to become consequential for the Blockchain World Wire system, which at that time was still in the works.
BWW workflow
The mechanics of the new payment system are fairly straightforward and rely on the notion of a bridge asset â a carrier of value on the network that can be exchanged to any fiat currency on each side of a transaction. As two financial institutions negotiate a payment, they âagree to use a stable coin, central bank digital currency or other digital asset as the bridge asset between any two fiat currencies.â Although this formulation presents a range of bridge asset options, the timing of the Stronghold USD launch suggests that it is the stable coin that is designed to serve as a primary vehicle of Blockchain World Wire transactions.
IBM also stresses that the new financial rail is built to integrate seamlessly with existing payments systems through its API, so banks wonât have to implement sweeping hardware changes in order to start using it. Once the senderâs fiat currency is converted into a proxy digital asset, the system instantaneously turns it into the respective amount of the receiverâs fiat currency. All the transaction details and settlement instructions are then recorded on the distributed ledger.
In an apparent attempt to appeal to the widest possible array of institutional clients, IBM marketers cautiously specify in a footnote that âfor those preferring to avoid the use of digital currencies, IBM also provides alternative settlement methods,â without defining, however, what those would be.
The importance of native tokens
Even before setting out to explore the territory that is usually considered within Rippleâs jurisdiction â transactional services for large corporate banks â Stellar was doomed to have all its achievements measured against those of its older sibling. Both Ripple and Stellar protocols are, to a significant extent, defined by the vision of one person â Stellarâs current CTO Jed McCaleb â and as such, share a lot of design features. Yet, unlike Ripple, Stellar is completely open-source and not beholden to a single corporate entity. While Ripple has long been seen mainly as a solution provider for banks, Stellar developed a reputation of being a payment network for individuals.
Rippleâs brisk ascent to the rank of the third largest crypto asset by market capitalization at the turn of last year has been largely predicated on a streak of successful pitches of its services to major financial institutions. The biggest deals that Ripple managed to secure included a foreign exchange service for Santander, as well as a payment app built for a consortium of 61 Japanese banks.
These big wins, however, come with an important caveat: both are based on a technology called xCurrent, which doesnât make any use of XRP, Rippleâs native token. Meanwhile, the product that does rely on XRP, called xRapid, has been seeing more modest rates of adoption. Particularly, several major money transfer services, including Western Union and MoneyGram, announced earlier in the year that they would start testing xRapid-powered transactions. Several months later, Western Union CEO Hikmet Ersek said that the solution hadnât delivered any significant reduction in transaction cost and was âstill too expensive.â The disparity in xCurrent and xRapidâs performance has led some critics to conclude that XRP token doesnât have any use.
Thus, bringing in a newly-minted stable coin to power cross-border transactions on the Stellar blockchain looks like a smart move from IBM and Stellar. In doing so, they will retain the âXRP for the peopleâ ethos that has developed around Stellar XLM token, and clearly demarcate the boundary between the corporate and community uses of the Stellar ledger. Of course, there are also more immediately practical considerations at play. Jesse Lund, the head of IBMâs blockchain department, noted in a blog post:
âVolatility and inherent risk means that most financial institutions are wary of using cryptocurrencies as the basis for mainstream commercial transactions and why some countries have banned their use entirely⌠The âstabilityâ of stable coins could translate into improving the entire backbone of international banking operations, giving banks an innovative way to significantly update their core banking and compliance infrastructure while also helping to improve operational efficiency and regulatory transparency.â
Intensifying competition
It remains to be seen if reliance on stable coins will grant Blockchain World Wire a sizeable competitive advantage over Rippleâs solutions. What already does look like a serious advantage, though, is IBMâs stalwart position as a major infrastructure provider for traditional transactional systems: The cost of convincing existing clients to adopt a new technology is by long odds smaller than acquiring new ones.
Judging from what is known about Blockchain World Wire at this point, the systemâs design and functionality directly pit it against Rippleâs xRapid rail in the race for global banksâ good graces. Despite the dearth of information on how the two compare in terms of performance, it is possible to pinpoint a few more general product features that might prove relevant as BWW hits the market and the competition ramps up. In addition to the impressive base for adoption already mentioned above, IBMâs solution looks appealing for its versatility. Whereas xRapid utilizes only XRP token as a bridge asset, Blockchain World Wire boasts a range of options, which could potentially open the system up for many fruitful integrations and partnerships.
That said, it is not yet clear when financial institutions will be able to derive practical benefits from adopting IBMâs new product, as it hasnât even been tested in the field. In contrast, xRapid has been out there for a while, undergoing tests with some of the key players of the money transfer industry for months now.
Also, it is worth noting that the market of cross-national, blockchain-powered financial services is far from a duopolistic arrangement divided solely between Ripple and BWW. In late June, Ant Financial, Alibabaâs financial arm, deployed a remittance solution on blockchain to facilitate transactions between Hong Kong and the Philippines. Meanwhile, Japanese tech giant GMO is equipping its new online banking service with a blockchain-powered transaction system. As some of these and other emerging platforms are likely to achieve a certain degree of regional dominance, on the global scale, years of stiff competition lie ahead.
Blockchain World Wireâs inaugural public presentation will take place in Sydney in late October. Symbolically, it is bound to happen at Sibos â an annual summit for global financial industry hosted by SWIFT.

Nokia 7 Plus review: The perfect mid-range smartphone First unveiled at MWC 2018 in Barcelona, the Nokia 7 Plus was positioned as the mid-range device in HMD Globalâs 2018 portfolio of Nokia phones. A couple of months down the track and here is our full Nokia 7 Plus review. After the pitch of âpure and up-to-date Androidâ last year, the company has now adopted Android One across the board. The trusted stock Android experience, combined with a competent specifications sheet makes the Nokia 7 Plus seem well-rounded on paper. With a host of new releases, the Nokia brand is having a resurgence under new custodian HMD Global, generating a lot of consumer attention in the process. Is the Nokia 7 Plus the device to translate that interest into sales? For this review, I took the Indian variant of the Nokia 7 Plus for a spin. My colleague, Adam Sinicki, used the same unit to shoot the video review in the UK. Show More Design The Nokia 7 Plus scores high on aesthetics. It exudes class and looks gorgeous. The phoneâs copper accents â the strip running along the edges, the buttons, and the rings around the camera module and fingerprint scanner â make it really stand out. The Nokia 7 Plus features an 18:9 display which dominates the front of the phone, with just a small chin at the bottom and Nokia branding on the bezel on the top. The rounded edges make the phone nice and comfortable to grip. The soft matte finish and ceramic coating on the back give it a nice tactile feel which will help prevent the phone from slipping out of your hand. The camera module protrudes slightly from the back, but the copper trim would likely protect the lenses from picking up scratches. Built from a single block of series 6000 aluminum, the Nokia 7 Plus feels solid and well built. At 183 grams, itâs a little hefty, but the weight is distributed quite well. Overall, the Nokia 7 Plus is a well-built smartphone that looks more premium than its price would indicate. It will no doubt have a lot of people gawking in a coffee shop. Display The Nokia 7 Plus sports a 6-inch IPS LCD Full HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 402ppi. It is the first device in the Nokia portfolio to adopt the newer trend of taller displays. Overall, the display is pretty good. Itâs quite vivid and the viewing angles are great. For an LCD, the blacks are so deep youâd almost mistake it for an OLED panel. If you prefer more true-to-life colors, you might find the Nokia 7 Plus slightly oversaturated. Personally, I quite like it. Unfortunately, the display is not too bright, so sunlight legibility is not exceptional, though itâs not terrible. The touch response on the Nokia 7 Plus is perfect and running your thumb across the display while scrolling provides insatnt feedback. Thereâs also Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for scratch protection. Performance Powered by the freshly minted octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset with Adreno 512 GPU, the Nokia 7 Plus packs in 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card. With only default apps running in the background, thereâs 2.7GB of RAM available at any point. The Snapdragon 660 is one of the most powerful SoCs for mid-range smartphones out there, managing flagship-grade performance on a budget by using Kryo 260 cores manufactured with the 14nm FinFET process. That horsepower combined with stock Android makes the Nokia 7 Plus a solid performer. It can take anything you throw at it without breaking a sweat. It can handle graphics-intensive games at max settings without heating up, even when playing games for an extended length of time. The Snapdragon 660 is a powerful and frugal processor that makes the Nokia 7 Plus a solid performer. The Nokia 7 Plus packs in a massive 3,800mAh battery which will easily last a day and a half of moderate usage. Even with my aggressive usage, I managed to carry it through the day with about 20 percent juice still left after dinner. In our standard HD video loop test, it managed over 13 hours. Once the battery does run out, the Nokia 7 Plus supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging. The bundled charger can charge the phone from zero to 100 percent in less than two hours, which is pretty good for a high capacity battery. The phone does get a little hot while charging. At its price point, the Nokia 7 Plus packs solid innards and outperforms most smartphones with older Snapdragon 600-series processors. It can easily handle the daily grind for most users and offers a smooth Android experience. Hardware One of the less talked about features of the Nokia 7 Plus is its spatial audio capture with three microphones which is quite useful for content creators and people who record a lot of videos. The Nokia 7 Plus is a dual-SIM device, sporting a hybrid tray slot so you can either use two nano-SIMs or a nano-SIM and a microSD card. The fingerprint scanner on the back works reasonably fast, although it is positioned a little too high for my tastes. If you have small hands, youâre likely to have a little trouble reaching it comfortably. Camera The Nokia 7 Plus uses a dual camera setup on the back with Zeiss optics. Thereâs a 12MP primary lens with f/1.75 aperture and 1.4Âľm pixel size paired with a 13MP telephoto lens with f/2.6 aperture and 1.0Âľm pixel size. The Nokia 7 Plus camera manages to take some great images in daylight with crisp colors and a good amount of detail. The camera often took a bit of time to focus though and action shots came out blurred. For portraits or bokeh shots, the telephoto lens blurs out the background nicely and the edge detection is quite good. The telephoto lens offers a 2x lossless optical zoom while thereâs also 10x digital zoom if you need it. In low light conditions, some noise does creep in. But thanks to the f/1.75 aperture, the camera manages to capture a good amount of light. Using the Pro mode and fine-tuning the settings gives much better results. The dual-tone LED flash is not overpowering and helps maintain natural skin tone and white balance. On the front, thereâs a 16MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and Zeiss optics. Most selfies have pretty good color reproduction and enough detail to keep your social feeds happy. The beautification mode has a slider to adjust for the level of vanity you can digest. The rear camera supports 4K video recording at 30fps (the front camera supports 1080p video recording). Thereâs no optical image stabilization, and the automatic electronic image stabilization works only in 1080p mode. But it works quite well, and combined with the OZO audio technology with spatial recording capabilities, the Nokia 7 Plus manages to capture some great videos. Editor's Pick Nokia brings back its Pro Camera mode from the dead for its Android phones As forgettable as Nokia's Windows Phone days were, they introduced several smartphones whose cameras were more capable than anything else on the market. That was partially thanks to the Nokia Pro Camera mode, which introduced ⌠The camera app on the Nokia 7 Plus is similar to the one Nokia introduced with the Lumia series back in the day. It offers an intuitive way to fine-tune the settings while looking at the results in real time. Thereâs also the dual-sight mode, previously marketed as a âbothie,â which lets you take shots or record and stream videos using both front and rear cameras simultaneously. Itâs an interesting option for vloggers or if you have kids and pets at home but is pretty pointless for most others. The camera on the Nokia 7 Plus is pretty good, but itâs not perfect. One expects a little more spark in the camera department on a Nokia phone. That said, there are no showstopping issues and itâs a pretty good camera at its price â and thereâs nothing that cannot be improved with a software update or two. Software The Nokia 7 Plus comes with stock Android 8.1 Oreo with support for Project Treble. There are no customizations and no bloatware of any kind. Itâs a minimalist Android experience out of the box. The Android One device will also get regular security updates as well as an upgrade to Android P. HMD Global has a good track record for delivering updates like clockwork across its entire portfolio, so a Nokia phone is the best deal apart from the Pixel devices for fans of a pure and up-to-date Android experience. Youâd be hard-pressed to find a flaw with this device, really. Nokia 7 Plus is a well-rounded package that offers the right amalgamation of performance and aesthetics. At 25,999 rupees (~$387) in India, some of my media colleagues at the launch said that it was priced a tad high â I disagree. Thereâs a justifiable premium for visual appeal and dependable hardware that comes in a package with an overall finesse. For me, the Nokia 7 Plus has just the right mix of performance and aesthetics. In a segment thatâs usually under-served, the Nokia 7 Plus deserves the crown. , via Android Authority http://bit.ly/2k2cYgZ
