ARMS lore for Smash Fanfic Writers

Here’s a quick rundown on ARMs lore for the Smash fanfic writers out there not familiar with ARMS. Character name followed by GP means it comes from one of their Grand Prix intros.

Basic ARMS Lore (All info comes from gallery):

-The stretchy arms come from what’s known as the ARMS gene, however the Arms ability manifests at different stages in life. Most have the ability manifest overnight, with recorded ages of manifestation going as high as 74. In rare cases such as Kid Cobra it is present from birth.

-The ARMS gene is present in non-human animals and even plants as well. The number of humans with the ARMS Gene is also shown to be rising at a rapid rate. As of the game 20% of the population has been confirmed to posses the ARMS ability with potentially even more have yet to report it.

-The ARMs ability is confirmed to been around for at least 1,500 years. However it’s stated that “some experts believe it has existed for at least 4,000 years.”

-The ARMS ability cannot be controlled naturally. It will unravel randomly and assume random shapes. However a special mask was developed that lets people control it. These are manufactured by ARMS Labs and distributed by the ARMS League for free. The technology behind the masks is kept a secret in order to prevent misuse and can currently only be revealed at the discretion of Doctor Coyle, who has most likely never misused that technology ever.

-The ARMS gene has some connection to the eyes, which the masks mentioned above take advantage of to function. Everyone with the ARMS ability has spiral irises.

-The ARMS material is in most cases either something connected to the person or just something nearby when the ability awakened. There are exceptions to those patterns however, who are being investigated by the ARMS Labs.

-The ARMS sport has been around for 120 years.

-ARMS Labs and the ARMS League were originally one organization known as the ARMS Ministry. When the ARMS sport became popular enough to have a professional league it split into the two organizations, the ARMS League runs the sport while the ARMS Labs works on researching the ARMS gene and developing ‘related products.’ The masks that control the ARMS ability were invented in the times of the ARMS Ministry.

Min Min Facts:

-Min Min is said to come from ‘ramen royalty’ and works at the famous Mintendo Ramen House, which is run by her family.

-The Mintendo Ramen House can be seen in the Ramen Bowl stage of ARMS, which is surrounded by other ramen shops. Despite all the competition Mintendo Ramen House is considered the best of them. (Ribbon Girl, Ninjara, and Twintelle GP)

-She’s referred to as the ‘Ramen Bomber.’

-According to the ARMS Research Lab her weakness is that if she takes a bath for too long her ramen arms get soggy. That conclusion was not reached based on actual observation so it may not be true. (Springtron GP)

-Min Min’s father once gave an album of her baby photos to undercover ARMS Labs researchers, most likely undercover as customers.  (Springtron GP)

-Her left ARMS dragon transformation is the only case in game of an ARM changing what it’s made out of. Min Min’s GP Intro vs Misango implies it’s mystical in nature.

-According to Biff, Min Min has a ‘spicy personality’ (Spring Man GP)

-Min Min is reportedly jealous of Ribbon Girl’s fame and would also like to have a taste of some fame. (Min Min GP)

-The Narutotaki on Min Min’s shoulders are her family’s trademark (Kid Cobra GP)

-According to Doctor Coyle’s scientific research, the Mintendo Ramen uses both a duck-chicken and pig-fish base. She also wants to study Min Min’s dragon arm. (Coyle GP)

-Min Min is popular with children (Gallery)

-According to Biff’s Fashion Check, Min Min wears clothes from all different brands. The brand for her hat appears to be relatively niche as Biff indicates a lack of familiarity with it.

Possible Villains to use

Doctor Coyle is the main villain of ARMS basically. She’s the director of ARMS Labs who is obsessed with ARMS, she doesn’t have the ARMS gene but due to said obsession created artificial ARMS for herself. She also created Helix, Springtron, and Hedlok, indicating skill with robotics and whatever kind of science you need to make Helix. And was somehow able to revive Master Mummy. 

She can also turn invisible and hover around with her tech. Her goal appears to be becoming the ultimate ARMS champion, presumably at any cost. Used to be friends with Max Brass but now has enough of a grudge to ambush and beat him up on live television with 100% viewership, after he had already lost a fight.

Hedlok is a floating robotic head made by Coyle that has four ARMS attached to it. It can attach itself to the head of any fighter like a helmet, letting its own four ARMS be used by the fighter alongside their normal ARMS. However Hedlok is also capable of seizing control of his ‘host.’ Since he works on both Mechanica and Coyle he clearly does not require the ARMS gene present in his host to function. In theory he could take control of Ryu or Little Mac.

✍ Spring Man

(I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’ve only really played ARMS a few times in my life. Even then, Spring Man doesn’t interest me in the same way that Min Min or Twintelle does, so probably not.)

What kind of instagram or twitter do each fighter post or tweet about?

You won’t believe how many times i typed, “reblog,” instead of, “retweet,” while making this post

Spring Man: He chooses to use Twitter more, to post pictures of him with the ARMS fighters, or any fans he sees, or cute puppies, or anything really that catches his attention. He’s also good at posting positive and motivational messages, as well as promoting work of his fellow ARMS members (like teasers and information on music from Ribbon, and movie teasers from Twintelle) 

Ribbon Girl: She prefers to use Instagram more, to post selfies or OOTDs (Outfit of the Day), as well as pictures of the other fighters. They’re her family! Instagram is also good for posting music video and album teasers, as well as short clips of songs. 

Mechanica: She mainly sticks to Twitter, posting about videogames, any upcoming ARMS events, and talking to the others. She also likes to post about anything funny that happens during the day, and little clips of funny moments she had while playing videogames, as well as help to promote Ribbon’s music. 

Ninjara: He prefers Twitter to Instagram, though most of his posts are retweets from the others. He isn’t too social. 

Master Mummy: Doesn’t really care much for social media at all, but if he did use it, he’d gush about his amazing and beautiful and awesome and fantastic family all the time. 

Min Min: Prefers Twitter out of the two options. She posts about Mintendo, and helps to promote Ribbon and Twintelle’s work, as well as chat with the others. If requested enough, she posts pictures of her family and friends, but she doesn’t like having a lot of her personal life and business online. Very rarely posts selfies, if ever. 

Helix: Prefers Twitter, oddly enough. Most of his posts are blurry and gooey selfies. When he types, it’s a lot of gibberish, but Twintelle, Spring and Mechanica always reply to him. It’s unclear if they’re replying to be polite, or if they genuinely understand what he’s saying. 

Kid Cobra: KC prefers Twitter, because it’s perfect for making short snakeboarding videos, and retweeting vines. He also likes to promote his friends, and gets a lot of retweets for posting some seriously hilarious stuff. 

Twintelle: Truthfully, she’s equally prone to using Instagram and Twitter. Both can be used for movie teasers and photos from behind the scenes, but Instagram is ideal for personal photos and selfies with the others. On Twitter, though, she helps to promote the others.

Byte and Barq: Twitter, to help keep people up-to-date on the News. They’re good at learning details on stories and making sure people know what’s happening. 

Lola Pop: She prefers Instagram, for silly photos and selfies with fans and the other ARMS fighters! Every now and then, she’ll post a short video of her just having fun with the others. 

Misango: Instagram. He isn’t talkative enough to have that active of a Twitter. He rarely updates his Instagram, but when he does, it’s photos with the others. 

Max Brass: He prefers to use Instagram, posting about any upcoming events in the league, as well as proud dad moments with the other fighters.

Some of my ARMS head cannons

Spring Man - rock climbing is a hobby of his - he’s really good at it too - will take the time to train with other ARMS fighters (or any fighters in general) to give them pointers - has gotten tangled up in his arms numerous times (everyone probably has, tbh) - once got kicked out of a pizza buffet place for eating too much pizza - has probably gotten kicked out of lots of other places (including Min Min’s family’s shop) for eating too much - gets up early to spend a ridiculous amount of time getting his hair the way it looks - either that or it’s part of his ARMS mutation and made of actual spring - has probably tried every possible combination of pizza and liked them all - probably helps kids with ARMS adjust to their new mutation - went through a short phase where he tried to fight crime or be a super hero or something

Ribbon Girl - her hair is actually part of her ARMS mutation, and she can slightly control her hair (like Twintelle) if she focuses hard enough - she and Spring Man have a brother/sister dynamic - addicted to Cola and other sodas - goes by “Ribbon Girl” to avoid use of her real name so she can be left alone in private or something - probably gets recognized anyway and is totally cool as long as people don’t make a big deal over it - uses her fame as a pop star to raise awareness for anti-bullying organizations because she (and lots of others with ARMS) got bullied after getting them - would have been her school’s cheer captain if she wasn’t so busy with being a pop star and a fighter - she’s probably not a straight A student for this same reason, but definitely could have been - she probably left her school and started getting homeschooled after she got famous - has a bunch of cute pets

Ninjara - has the worst trouble going through metal detectors - joined the Grand Prix so people who would hire ninjas for stuff would know who he is - he likes to hide in small spaces like a cat and also gets stuck in those small spaces a lot - owns as least three pairs of glasses because he breaks them a lot while sparring and fighting - spied on Spring Man for a whole day after their first match - found Spring Man annoying at first, but eventually settled into just a friendly rivalry with him after a while - lost a bet with Ribbon Girl and had to paint his nails (because I do think they have hands at the end of their ARMS) the same color as his hair one time. It was humiliating for him - he uses a ton of hair gel to make his shrunken shaped hair - his chain arms have nearly rusted a couple of times

Master Mummy - probably one of the first recorded people with ARMS - when he was alive he was either a middle or high class citizen - probably a high ranking warrior or leader in an army? - since he doesn’t know what happened to his family, he probably died in battle - given enough time, he will become the Team Dad - he doesn’t talk much since he had to learn how to speak, read, and write English and is still trying to figure it out - hates fighting Helix because he’s not human and probably terrifies Master Mummy - his bio says his affiliation is with “Mummy Hospital,” so he probably lives in one and gets regular check ups and studies and stuff -regarded as a medical marvel in the medical community

Mechanica - even though she’s small, she’s very strong for a girl her age (how else is she gonna lift all that metal stuff for her mecha?) - totally a fan of mech themed anime and movies - super friendly to the other ARMS fighters but probably has trouble connecting to other normal people - she has a crush on Ribbon Girl but is really happy just being friends - she’s really intrigued by Helix and does whatever she can to teach him about robotics and other stuff - she loves tinkering with Byte and Barq when they let her - at first Master Mummy creeped her out, but then she realized he was a pretty cool guy. She observed him to learn how to fight as a heavier contender - when she gets an idea for an upgrade to her mech or a new invention of some sort, she forgets how to sleep and runs on coffee until she finishes it - the other fighters sometimes forget that she doesn’t have ARMS like they do - sometimes Mechanica forgets that she doesn’t have ARMS on days when she spends a lot of time in her mech suit

Min Min - her arm is made of a ramen-like substance, but can’t actually be eaten - she’s probably tried to eat or taste her arms - her hair is also part of her mutation and her hair wasn’t that color before she changed - the main reason she says “yum!” And “I love ramen” in Chinese as her victory lines is because she couldn’t think of anything to say the first time she won a match so she just said the first thing that came to mind and now it’s just fun inside joke for everyone who knows what she’s saying - she was really confused when she first got ARMS because she fights primarily with her legs and had to change her fighting style completely - people have to force her to not eat ramen sometimes - one time someone tried to break into her family’s shop and rob them. She took them down before they knew what hit them

Helix - super curious and gets up to all sorts of crazy shenanigans - breaks into his new friends’ homes just to visit all the time - the labs that made him were really upset when he signed up for the Grand Prix without their permission, but they let him go anyway for science and because they love him - really just wants to prove how awesome the people who made him are - loves all kinds of animals and will try to morph into them - gives the best (and sometimes most awkward) hugs - he can’t talk, but he has developed a sort of wiggle language to convey things he wants to say (because I don’t think he has hands and that makes me sad)

Kid Cobra - would definitely be the one to build a go-pro or some other camera into his helmet and livestream his matches - no one knows if he’s a snake or a human and he’s amused by it - his fan base is completely split in half because of this, and there are those few random fans who think he’s an alien or something else - Holds out his s’s when he talksssssss - has taken classes in break dancing and is the yoga master - he can do ballet too - tried to teach other ARMS fighters how to snakeboard - he had a stretch contest with Helix once and lost. This was the first time anyone could out contortion him - he loves snakes and probably has a bunch that he let’s do whatever they want around his house - do not let him on the road. He’s called “The Speed Demon” for a reason

Byte and Barq - the people who built Byte probably got inspiration from Mechanica’s mech suit - Barq forgets that he isn’t a real dog sometimes - Barq is extremely popular with kids - Byte is happy when kids play with Barq - Byte and Barq were entered into the Grand Prix by the police department in an attempt to show the PDs power and discourage crime - even so, the two really do enjoy taking part in matches - Byte and Barq both have sirens built into their heads - Barq is actually an extension of Byte and that’s why they’re allowed to fight together in the Grand Prix - the two of them spend their days off playing in the dog park and doing other human and dog things

Twintelle - she had to train a lot harder to get her hair to work like arms since they have no muscle - she’s most often hired for action and super hero movies - she prefers being in romantic and slice of life movies though - she despises coffee - doctors and scientists were more surprised that her arms were left normal considering how most who develop ARMS also have some sort of hair mutation - very maternal despite not being married or having kids - has invited the others to her movie premieres and to fancy dinner parties and had to teach a lot of them how to act - when Master Mummy gets more proficient at English, they’ll probably have a lot of deep, intuitive discussions - secretly loves Min Min’s ramen and has gone undercover to her family’s ramen shop numerous times

ARMS headcanons because why not

Spring Man actually loves pineapple on pizza. His fans go crazy online and a war breaks lose. Many memes are made. Half of the fighters feel betrayed, and the other half love him for it. He doesn’t get what the big deal is. Being the everyman he is, he’s extremely approachable, always does his best, and is determined beyond measure. He has an extremely doting mother and a young german shepard who cheer him on at home. He gets anxious about competitions easily when he feels doubtful or malnourished. He’s also extremely strong due to all his weight lifting and physical training. Many find themselves staring at his leg muscles in awe. They also find themselves playing with his springy hair. It can get a bit annoying since it takes so long to style.

Mechanica is a prodigy as she began engineering at the young age of 8. Her love for ARMS fighting inspired her mech. She loves all of the fighters, though obviously Ribbon Girl is her favorite. She’s always gushing and fangirling over everything they do, even while she’s facing them in battle. She’s also extremely afraid of loud noises like fireworks and thunder. Whenever she hears something startling, her first instinct is to hide in her mech, or when she’s not near it, behind Ribbon Girl. When neither options are available, she heads for Master Mummy, who is surely big enough to protect her.

Continuation of the last headcanon, Master Mummy pretends he’s extremely annoyed by this, when in reality he finds it very sweet as Mechanica reminds him a bit of his daughter. He grew up in ancient Egypt around 2700 B.C. and lived with his beloved family; his wife, two sons, and daughter. He acts aggressive and frightening, but he simply prefers solitude. He has a soft spot for children, and doesn’t refuse his young fans his attention. At times, he’s seen staring at an old dusty locket. No one has the heart to tell him that it’s been centuries since his family’s been alive.

Helix loves giving hugs. The reaction depends on who he’s hugging, but his gooeyness makes it pretty unpleasant. Most of the fighters don’t reject him though; they know he’s coming from a good place. He’s extremely curious, and often ends up breaking things because of his gelatinous body. He’s completely innocent, silly and clueless, making him a fan favorite among the audience. Nobody understands how exactly he was made except Biff, and even he doesn’t have a clear idea.

Twintelle makes the BEST tea anyone has ever tasted. Whenever anyone has trouble sleeping, staying up, or with anxiety, she always knows the perfect ingredients to brew just the right tea for any situation. Not even she has ANY idea why the power of ARMS ended up in her hair instead. She doesn’t mind, as she believes the curly look makes it very lovely. Though it can be a hassle during battle since her hair can get so unkempt from all the fighting.

Min Min also, unsurprisingly, makes the best ramen anyone’s ever tasted. She tries her best to make it as good as her mother’s, but feels she can never get it quite right, despite everyone telling her her dish is delicious already. She’s extremely fierce and competitive on the battlefield, despite her cute appearance and tone out of battle. Her dragon fist has an autonomous mode in which it’ll have a mind of its own, and it loves its owner dearly and is extremely powerful for her sake.

Cobra Kid not only does livestreams on skateboarding, but on gaming as well. His idol is Tony Hawk and he has his own pet snake. Since cobras are illegal to own as pets, he has a cute little corn snake instead. He’d never tell anyone, but he adores that snake to death.

Ribbon Girl seems like she’s good at everything; sports, dancing, singing, acrobatics. The truth is, she’s terrible at art. She can’t draw for the life of her. She also started her career when a video of her singing her favorite song while ribbon dancing went viral and received a lot of positive recognition. She treats Mechanica like a little sister. Sometimes she feels pressured to do well as to not disappoint her fans, and that with her young age can cause severe stress problems.

Byte and Barq were invented for the sole purpose of protecting the city, but a fault in Byte’s programming made him develop a passion for ARMS fighting. His creators, rather than fixing the program, found this as beneficial and equipped Byte with specialized ARMS. Barq was built right by his master’s side and remained loyal to him since. The two have an incredibly strong bond, as when they were first created, Barq was finished first due to his smaller size and simpler programming. He sat and waited for his owner to be completed for the next several weeks. Mechanica is extremely fascinated with both of the bots, while Spring Man adores Barq, as he reminds him of his own dog.

Ninjara’s favorite types of books to read are cheesy romance novels, though anyone who found out wouldn’t live to tell. He’s very quiet and antisocial, much preferring to keep to himself like a ninja would. The school he’s going to for training lies deep in the mountains of Japan. He wishes to become a ninja after his father, and his ARMS didn’t hinder that goal in the slightest, rather they made it stronger. He’s the absolute master of hide-and-seek. He enjoys observing the battles and training sessions of his fellow fighters while hiding in the shadows. Though it sounds malicious and seems like a way to learn his opponents’ weaknesses and gain the upper hand, he actually finds their fighting styles as a demonstration of their personalities. His observing is his own way of getting to know them better. Another large reason he became a ninja was because of his severe social anxiety. He’s extremely shy during conversation, and so chose a career path that would honor his father and require the least amount of human interaction.

Biff may be the announcer, but he acts like an enthusiastic coach toward all the ARMS fighters. He actually has a fan base of his own due to his enthusiasm and smooth voice. No one knows what exactly he is; whether he’s a short man in a costume or some kind of creature with a giant hand sticking out of his head. No one can bring it in themselves to ask him.

well, i've never played arms or heard of anyone playing arms in my life, but i'm glad it's getting some smash rep, it's not exactly earned but it's understandable. that said, if they make spring man a fighter that blows the whole "assist trophies can't be characters" thing out of the water and if they make ribbon girl a fighter that also ruins the idea that mii costumes can't be fighters. so my money's on twintelle or min min, but if they go with spring man, that'd actually give waluigi a shot again.

Arms! On Ice!

Here are the pair-skating styles from the Arms! On Ice! AU! That I may or may not start writing soon. 

Spring and Lola Pop: Their style is full of energy and life! Both do great with entertaining and connecting to the crowd. All of their routines are interesting to watch, and have a good beat the audience can clap along to, to keep them involved. 

Spring and Ribbon (This isn’t meant to be romantic): Their routines are fun to watch as well, as Ribbon puts in a lot of good choreography and dance elements, meanwhile Spring helps to keep the audience interested, and making sure both skaters keep the crowd on their feet. He can also get really into the dance elements of the routine, but sometimes gets distracted. 

Min Min and Ninjara: With Min Min’s power and Ninjara’s speed, the two never fail to amaze with their technical skills. Their lifts and spins are always interesting to see. They tend to be well in sync too, and their skills leave the audience amazed. 

Twintelle and Lola Pop: Their style has a good mix of bubbly energy and mature choreography and grace. The two have a great connection, and their routines are always amazing to see.

ARMS! On Ice!

Mod Spring of the @incorrect-arms-quotes has been helping me with an Ice Skating AU with the ARMS fighters! Below are some of their ice skating styles, individually! I plan on making another post soon for their pair-skating styles! (Disclaimer: All the gifs and photos used were found on Tumblr and Google, none of them belong to me!) 

Spring: Since he’s known as, “The Bouncer,” one main thing that makes his style stand out from the others are his jumps! They’re always full of energy, and are generally higher than a lot of the other fighters’. He also has a good, positive attitude when he skates as well, which radiates off into the crowd.

Ribbon: Ribbon’s ice skating style is unique because of the dance elements! Her movements are always very graceful and fluid, and she never misses a beat of her music. There’s majesty and innocence in her routines.

Ninjara: One thing that makes Ninjara’s style unique is the speed! His movements are quick and sharp. He goes into jumps and spins with amazing speed, and doesn’t lose any of it!

Mechanica: Mechanica’s style is still developing compared to the others, as she’s much younger and inexperienced. She has trouble with balance, and often falls (and not the way she’s supposed to), however she does have a lot of energy and potential!

Min Min: Min Min’s specialty is the amount of power she puts into her jumps and routines. She has a lot of lower body strength, and flexibility in her legs, so her jumps are very high and her spins are always interesting to watch.

Kid Cobra: Much like Ninjara, Kid Cobra’s speed in his routines is phenomenal and amazing to see! He also has a lot of flexibility in his back, which makes for interesting dance moves and spins.

Lola Pop: She’s a fan-favorite among the crowd, as her routines are filled with energy and life! She’s all smiles, and generally chooses music that lets her put some dance elements into the routines to keep the crowd interested, maybe even encourage them to clap along!

Twintelle: Much like Ribbon, Twintelle pays a lot of attention to the grace and fluidity of the choreography side of ice skating routines. However, her routines generally have a more mature vibe (as, ofc, she’s much older than Ribbon).

Misango:  He's an excellent dancer, in general, but not on the ice. He finds ice skates a little...uncomfortable.  The skating itself for him is pretty stiff compared to everyone else, however he’s good with dancing with his arms and such, and not missing a beat of the music.

As for some of the others, Max Brass would be the coordinator of the Ice Skating League and competitions, Master Mummy would be one of the most supportive fans of every skater (and would often bring his wife and son to watch, maybe even Helix if, in this AU, Helix is adopted by him), Coyle would be one of the judges, and Biff would still be the ultimate commentator! I’m still trying to find a place for Byte and Barq, since this AU would have everyone be normal humans without the ARMS gene...

What are the fighters' favorite video games?

Spring Man: Literally anything that isn’t a first person shooter. He isn’t much for blood and guns, but he doesn’t mind fighting. Probably enjoys Smash and other competitive games like Mario Kart.

Ribbon Girl: Rhythm games, for sure. She’ll wipe the floor with you in DDR and Rhythm Heaven (Fever). Doesn’t miss a beat. 

Mechanica: Games like Maplestory (2), Gmod or Minecraft. They let her build and create anything. They’re also very good for shenanigans with the other fighters. She probably convinces them to play with her every once in a while.  

Ninjara: Sticks to games that have a good story and require strategy in battle, basically most JRPG’S. For example, Persona 5 (my personal favorite), Bravely Default/Second (my other personal favorite), etc. 

Min Min: Much like Ninjara, probably sticks to RPG’s that require strategy and have an interesting story. She also likes some competitive games, like Overwatch. She’s very picky about the characters she uses, though. 

Master Mummy: Has probably never seen a video game in his entire life. Not good at any of them, doesn’t enjoy any of them. They all just seem like a waste of time to him. 

Kid Cobra: Literally any racing or speed-running game. Mario Kart? He already beat you. Even on Rainbow Road. If he played Overwatch, he’d main Lucio. Also likes Sonic games. He’s just a fast-paced person. 

Byte and Barq: …Do they even play video games? I feel like they’d worry too much about their police work to even acknowledge video games. 

Helix: Probably gets goo all over the controls and keyboards, no matter what he plays. He likes Undertale, he thinks the story is really cute. Likes all the characters, too. 

Twintelle: Not too interested in video games. Her acting and fighting careers are far more important. Really only focuses on simple mobile games that won’t take up too much time or space. She’s a very busy woman. Taking over the world with her gorgeous looks alone is time consuming. 

Max Brass: Fighting games, like Smash. Spring Man has probably invited him to play a couple of times. It’s always fun. 

Lola Pop: Fun party games for everyone to enjoy, like Mario Party. She likes the mini games and enjoys the laughter it brings.

Let's say... all of the fighters go out for one big dinner, but Helix gets kicked out. Why? What did he do? Or is it just prejudice against slimy things? How do each of the fighters react?

The other fighters are LIVID

They were supposed to go out and have a nice evening to celebrate all their hard work as ARM league fighters and as family

Helix, despite being a green, gooey, squishy boy, is just as much an ARMS fighter as everybody else

Every single fighter goes off on the staff in the restaurant, calling out the manager and the workers for trying to kick out Helix

Twintelle and Master Mummy especially start getting mad at the staff, yelling at them for excluding their kid. Min Min, Spring Man, Ribbon Girl, Ninjara, Mechanica, and Kid Cobra all start getting mad as well. They all stand with Helix and call out the staff. Min Min starts going off on the restaurant and even goes as far as saying, “Any restaurant that won’t properly serve everyone doesn’t deserve anyone.”  As someone who works in a restaurant back home, she has met all kinds of people from all walks of life. And regardless of what she thought of them, she respected and served them all. 

Byte and Barq probably state something about protocol and properly treating customers. 

They all end up leaving the restaurant without ever ordering anything to eat. 

They go home and have a little party of their own.

Everyone comes up with their own dishes for dinner, and everyone enjoys each other’s company, including Helix

What would each fighter do on a family trip to Ikea (max brass and biff too)

the ikea wouldn’t be standing by the time they leave

To avoid any chaos from any of the fighters, Twintelle leaves them in the kiddie area. Min Min and Ninjara wouldn’t cause too much trouble, she’d want to have them all in the same place. 

If they weren’t left there, though, it would be chaos. Spring Man and Ribbon Girl would wander around the store together. Probably spend majority of their time at the food court, and they’ll stop by the kiddie area to hang out with some children. 

Mechanica and Helix would also wander around the store together, Mechanica spending most of her time tampering with any electronics. Helix watches curiously and unintentionally leaving a trail of green goo all over the building. Min Min, per Twintelle’s request, follows the two around to keep them safe. She just wants to hang out at the food court. 

Ninjara’s sitting in different quiet spots around the building. He keeps an eye on everyone, and really wants to go home. He’s mainly keeping an eye on Spring Man so he doesn’t do anything too stupid. 

Biff is just sitting on different couches and chairs around the building. He and Max Brass hang out the entire time, Max admiring himself in the mirrors in different displays. They also pretend to watch t.v. together on all the ones on display. 

Byte and Barq are doing their best as police officers to keep everyone in order. It’s impossible. They give up after a while and hang out at the kiddie area to make sure everyone is playing fair. 

Kid Cobra manages to get his snakeboard into the building and rides it everywhere. He’s one of the main people being monitored by Byte and Barq. 

Master Mummy gets fed up with the other fighters being everywhere. Probably tries to relax by sitting down and damages the furniture. His bad temper kicks in and broken couch pieces are added to the mess made by the other fighters. 

Twintelle goes shopping alone for the rest of her life.

Lives off of coffee. Gets really stressed out, but has plenty of friends to help her relax.

They spent weeks fighting, arguing, and holding grudges against each other that they weren’t prone to doing. It began a few weeks ago, when Min Min could’ve sworn she saw Ninjara with Spring Man. She knew the two were close, and that they hung out often. She didn’t mind that at all. It was just when she walked in on the two on the roof of their shared household, where the two would often go to admire the garden Twintelle had started growing up there, and the view of the other buildings. She had wanted to join the two in looking at the some of the flowers blooming there, but froze when she saw the two standing close to each other.

They were face-to-face, almost as if they were about to kiss. Their arms were wrapped around each other, Ninjara’s arms on Spring’s shoulders, and Spring’s arms draped around Ninjara’s waist. They were blushing immensely, looking as though their lips could meet at any moment. Min Min and Ninjara were still rather quiet about their relationship. She didn’t expect Spring Man to know that Ninjara was seeing her. As for the ninja, though…Min Min had never felt more crushed or hurt in her entire life. 

Min Min would always advised others to talk things through to fix any problems between people. She never followed her own advice. She spent the days after that incident avoiding Ninjara, never telling him why she was upset. She ignored his calls, pretended to be busy when he asked to hang out in person, gave snappy remarks when speaking with him, and when he finally got her to sit with him, she refused to even look him in the eyes. Min Min had a terrible attitude. 

Ninjara was one of the most patient people on the planet. After being brutally ignored by Min Min, he managed to convince her to sit with him for a 1 on 1 chat in his room. They sat on the bed, silent, waiting for the other to say something. After a few minutes of silence, Ninjara spoke. 

“…Are you upset with me?”

That ticked her off. 

She turned to face him, cheeks turning red out of anger and frustration. 

“Yes! Yes, I’m upset with you! How can you still ask me to hang out and act like everything is okay, after what you’ve done?!” 

Ninjara nearly fell off the bed from the sudden yelling. He opened his mouth to question what incident she spoke of, and Min Min went off on how she caught Ninjara and Spring Man together the roof. 

“Come to think of it…this probably isn’t the first time you’ve seen him, is it? You’re always disappearing when we get home from fighting and you constantly turning me down when I ask to go out with you. You say things like, ‘We’ll hang out another day..’ and you’d blow me off with some dumb compliment, acting like everything would be okay…why do you keep messing with me? Why do you keep messing with my heart?….How could I be so dumb?”

Her anger quickly switched to sadness as she felt tears grow in her eyes and her mouth forced into a frown like she wanted to sob. 

“…Why did I let you get my expectations so high? I should’ve known this relationship wouldn’t last…You probably didn’t even realize I was hurting this whole time, did you?” 

He stood up from the bed and took a step towards her before she sent an icy glare in his direction. 

“What did I do? What are you talking about?” 

Min Min was furious. 

“You know what you did-” Tears began rushing down her cheeks, and her voice raised loud enough to be heard from outside, “I saw you with Spring Man! Don’t act stupid, Ninjara, you know what I’m talking about…I…I just…How could you do this to me? Do you know how long it took for me to get used to trying to be romantic? How long it took me to trust you enough to date you and to give myself to you? I can’t even be in this room with you anymore.”

She got up, and he followed her to the door of the bedroom. She reached for the doorknob, tears falling faster than before, and was about to leave before Ninjara jumped in front of her. 

“Nothing is happening between us! Please, think twice before you leave.”

“I don’t need to think about this anymore. I can’t be with someone I can’t trust. Why don’t you give Spring Man a call, let him know that you’re completely available?”

She opened the door and slammed it behind her. The shouting had caught the attention of the other fighters in the house. She walked through the hall, ignoring their stares and questions, and locked herself in her room.

How would each of the fighters react to one of the other fighters getting injured and having to stay in the hospital for a few days?

This one gets pretty long since i’ll be covering each of the fighters!

Spring Man: He’s typically optimistic and cheerful about everything and anything under the Sun, but having another fighter in the ARMS league have to be hospitalized brings out the worst in him. Especially if he believes it was his fault because the injury occurred in a battle with him. He’d cry for a while, apologize every time he sees them. He’d never really forgive himself for it, especially if the injured person was Ninjara or Ribbon Girl. 

Ribbon Girl: She’s also a bit of an optimist, but seeing one of her family members hurt would really get her down. She’d avoid matches and concerts for a while. Especially if the person who’s hurt is Min Min or Spring Man. She’s closest with them, but still admires and loves all the other fighters. She’d feel awful. 

Ninjara: He’d feel terrible, and avoid talking to that person for sometime after they’re released from the hospital. Even if the injured person forgave him for it, he’d never forgive himself. May stop speaking to that fighter altogether because he feels as though there’s no true way for him to make up for it. He might stop speaking completely if Spring Man were the one injured. 

Mechanica: She’d feel terrible. Might even make adjustments to her mech to do less damage if the injury was her fault. She’d apologize every chance she got, and visit the fighter during their entire stay at the hospital. When she’s alone, she’d cry about it because she’ll always feel bad for what she did. She may even think about quitting the league. It’s supposed to be fun, friendly competition, not a genuine fight. She’d never mean to actually injure anyone. 

Master Mummy: Much like Ninjara, his social skills aren’t the best so he has a difficult time apologizing if he was responsible for the injury. He sees all the fighters as his kids, so regardless of who it is, he’d feel bad. Even if the injury wasn’t too life-threatening, he’d be afraid of losing his family all over again. 

Min Min: Min Min would never forgive herself for it, if the injury was her fault. Especially if Ribbon Girl or Mechanica were the ones hurt. She’d take a break from fighting, both in ARMS battles and in her martial arts training. When she’s alone with that person, she might even break down in tears because of how bad she feels, and Min Min isn’t one to cry often at all. 

Helix: He’d feel bad and want to try to fix everything. He can’t communicate well, but he’d do his best to apologize. Helix would give that person hugs every time he sees them. 

Kid Cobra: He’d feel horrible and take a break from snakeboarding and battling for a while. He’d apologize to that person if the injury was his fault. Eventually he’d forgive himself, but it would take some time. 

Byte and Barq: They’d both feel awful and as though they’d gone against their promises as police officers to serve and protect. They both take a break from the ARMS league for a while and focus more on their police work, but they’d still feel like failures. 

Twintelle: She’d feel terrible. Like, absolutely horrible. She sees all the fighters as her children, and makes it her job to keep them safe. She wouldn’t know what to do if she were responsible for their injury. She’d apologize, but she’d never forgive herself.

well, since hedlok was in the testpunch... how would each fighter react to getting possessed? apologies if this gets long btw!!

Spring Man: He feels terrible. While being possessed, I imagine the fighter can’t actually control what’s happening. He tries to fight back, but Hedlok eventually sucks all the power out of him. Next thing Spring Man knows, the other fighters are either unconscious from the fight, or exhausted from beating Hedlok. Either way, he’s exhausted and he feels like crying for nearly killing the most important people in his life. 

Ribbon Girl: Similar to Spring Man, all her strength is drained while she’s possessed and once the fight ends, she becomes aware of her surroundings again. She feels terrible for trying to hurt the others, and probably avoids the next few matches and concerts. She might cancel or reschedule any interviews coming up and prefer to be alone for a while. 

Ninjara: After being possessed, Ninjara feels positively awful. Especially if he had to fight Spring Man. He hides more often and manages to speak even less than normal. He also tries to hideaway from any upcoming matches and spends more time by himself. 

Master Mummy: Arguably feels the worse compared to everyone. He sees all the ARMS fighters as his family so having to fight them makes him scared of losing his family. Again. He talks to the ARMS fighters less, and his temper gets worse. He’s sick of all the people he cares about getting hurt. 

Mechanica: Mechanica also feels the worse. She’s one of the youngest, so after being possessed she’s far more exhausted and emotionally drained. She’ll feel especially awful if she had to fight Min Min or Twintelle. Mechanica avoids fighting for a while and has trouble looking any of her friends in the eyes for a while. Even if it wasn’t her fault, she still feels like it was. 

Min Min: Min Min prefers to be alone for a while, and she can’t bring herself to speak to or be around the other fighters for a few days or even weeks. She tried to hold back with all her strength, so she’s especially doubting her power now. She feels weak and useless, and as though she can never truly apologize to the others, especially if she had to fight Mechanica or Ribbon Girl. 

Twintelle: She can’t find the words to apologize to the other fighters. They’re her family and she’s always made it her job to protect them. The last thing she wanted to do was let herself be the one who hurts or kills them. She has trouble speaking to them and vows to keep them all safe from every thing and every one else that may harm them. 

Kid Cobra: He stops streaming for a while, and at some point he almost considered quitting snakeboarding and fighting. He tries to make it up to the other fighters as much as he can. He’ll still feel horrible afterwards. 

Helix: Can’t communicate to let the other fighters know he felt useless while being possessed, and wants to apologize to them. He tries to take care of them more, despite being the youngest of the group. 

Byte and Barq: They consider leaving the ARMS league, having broken their promise as part of the police force. They’re supposed to protect and help people, not be the reason why they need to be protected. They’re more attached to each other, and start focusing on their police career a little more than their ARMS career.
