Argumentative Essay: 2022 Elections Postponement
The elections seem like a topic only the adults know however the youth have shown interests in politics such as I. An election is a process wherein the people of a country vote for the next leaders to govern and manage the countries wellbeing. Elections happen every after six years. In 2022, the voting would start again, but before that candidates must campaign and a presidential debate must occur between all those who would compete for the title of President.
Tumblr media
People who are ages 18 and above are allowed to participate and vote. Before, most counting was done by hand, but with the help of technology, results came faster. Election campaigns mostly are done by parades, buying votes, and rallies. Last 25th of September, the Comelec tackled the 2022 elections postponement. Some politicians agreed to the delay, while the lot disagreed as the adjournment of the election does not follow the Constitution of the Philippines. As stated by Sen. Lacson, "Canceling or postponing the election to pave the way for the extension of the terms of office of the President, Vice-President, 12 senators, district representatives as well as elected local government officials beyond June 30, 2022, is a clear violation of the Constitution." However, Pampanga Rep. Mikey Arroyo suggests delaying the 2022 national polls on the behalf of voters who are dismayed by COVID-19 in the state’s usually crowded voting centers.
Tumblr media
In my perspective, interrupting the 2022 elections is not the best solution to execute, as mentioned, it violates the Constitution because it is the rights of a Filipino. In addition, online polls can be a means to determine the head and governors of the country. Postponing the elections guarantees the reigning officials to rule for another year. In detail, no one knows when the pandemic would end so if the elections were to be postponed, the commanding officials would also extend their term giving them more power and influence. Besides, a vote is an example of the freedom of expression as it gives Filipinos the right to vote wisely for their preferred politician. Adjourning the voting-process would be like stealing the rights of a Filipino citizen. Delaying the elections would disadvantage young and aspiring politicians. Corrupt officials may also be able to continue stealing money from the countries resources and/or letting criminals go for their political gain. Remember to register to vote!

Quarantine (Part 28)
Day 196 ng quarantine.
Muli at muli, #NeverAgain.
Naka-move on na ako dun eh. Pero hindi naman kaya okay na rin.
Naka-emo mode ako kagabi. Nung gabi naman bago yun, masaya naman ako.  Let’s do that more often pls @***. Gulo ko lang eh.
Kage League sa Blazing ngayon pero medyo walang hype kasi walang bagong unit.
Muli, dasal ko na sana ay matapos na ito sa pinakamadaling panahon.

Leo's eyes locked with the rude newcomer. Given the postures and rapid switch in emotions, Leo quickly put two and two together.
This, Knockout, apparently had a checkered past.
While he normally would understand fully how difficult that kind of transition can be, his eyes flashed nonetheless as a warning growl slipped out. He wasn't about to risk the safety of his newborn son. If Knockout didn't change his attitude, and real quick, Leo would instruct him in basic manners. And he wouldn't go dragon to do it.
"Easy." Raph rumbled as he made his way over. "Ya don't want a fight overshadow your son's birth."
Leo took a deep breath in to calm himself before returning his attention to his son. He wasn't ready to hand off the baby just yet. There was one important step left.
He thought back on things he had studied to fill his idle time. Both in his old life and new one. Searching for something specific.
Then, it hit him. A name so simple but fitting.
"Rith."
"Rip what?" Mikey asked confused.
"Not rip." Leo didn't take his gaze from the blue eyed gaze of his son. "Rith. His name is Rith."
"Huh?"
Donnie chuckled at his brother's confusion. "Rith is a Renaissance word for arroyo. It has various meanings, but one is basically a fancy word for 'little stream'."
"A little stream that could one day turn into a might river." Leo agreed softly, letting the baby grab his finger with two little hands.

“Careful, you idiot.” Leonardo snarled at his youngest brother. “They’ll hear you, scatter and I’ll have to chase them all around the city.”

CARSON, CALIF. – Undefeated super bantamweight champions will meet for 122-pound supremacy when Luis Nery makes the first defense of his WBC world title against Brandon “Heartbreaker” Figueroa in the headline attraction of a three-fight card live on SHOWTIME Saturday, May 15 in a Premier Boxing Champions event from Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California. The SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING telecast begins at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT and will see former unified super bantamweight champion Danny Roman take on hard-hitting Ricardo Espinoza Franco in the 10-round co-main event, plus in the telecast opener undefeated super featherweight contender Xavier Martinez squares off against former world title challenger Juan Carlos Burgos in a 12-round WBA Super Featherweight Title Eliminator. Nery vs. Figueroa will see the powerful two-division champion Nery pursue a signature win at super bantamweight, while the rising Figueroa looks to use his all-action style to earn a career-best victory and announce his presence amongst the sport’s elite. The winner of this fight will be in line to face WBO 122-pound champion Stephen Fulton later this year in a unification showdown. The event is promoted by TGB Promotions. Martinez vs. Burgos is promoted in association with Mayweather Promotions. “The super bantamweight division is one of boxing’s most intriguing, and this showdown between Nery and Figueroa will be a huge step towards declaring the king of the weight class,” said Tom Brown, President of TGB Promotions. “These two undefeated 122-pound champions will leave it all in the ring in front of the passionate Southern California fight fans on May 15. With two Mexican-warriors going toe-to-toe, this is a main event that you won’t want to miss a second of.” Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at AXS.com. Dignity Health Sports Park will be open to fans in a limited capacity, with all guests remaining socially distanced and subject to local and state health guidelines throughout the event. The Tijuana, Mexico native Nery (31-0, 24 KOs) became a two-division world champion in September as he won a wide unanimous decision over previously unbeaten Aaron Alameda to capture his WBC crown. The 26-year-old had held an 11-fight knockout streak entering that 122-pound title fight, establishing himself as a premier knockout artist at bantamweight during a run that included stoppages of former champions McJoe Arroyo and Juan Carlos Payano. Nery first became champion in 2017, when he went to Japan and stopped Shinsuke Yamanaka in his home country to capture the WBC bantamweight world title. “This is one of the biggest fights of my career,” said Nery. “I am going to win this fight in spectacular fashion. I’m training hard every day to make sure I get the win on May 15. This is my time to make history for Mexico.” The 24-year-old Figueroa (21-0-1, 16 KOs) returns to the ring after his most recent outing saw him stop Damien Vazquez in round 10 of their September 2020 clash. Figueroa applied his all-action style scoring knockouts over veteran contenders Moises Flores and Oscar Escandon to move his way up the 122-pound rankings. He captured the WBA’s interim super bantamweight title by stopping Yonfrez Parejo in April 2019, before eventually being elevated to “regular” champion. Figueroa has trained for this career-defining bout in Southern California, alongside his brother and former world champion Omar Figueroa. "Training camp out here in California with Joel Diaz has been amazing,” said Figueroa. “I’m in tremendous shape and I’ll be ready to go on May 15. This is really one of the best training camps of my career. I know Nery is a tough fighter, maybe my toughest test to date. I’m 24 now, so it’s time for me to start fighting these world class fighters and prove to myself that I belong in there with the best fighters. I know Stephen Fulton is lined up for the winner of this fight, but I’m preparing 110% for Nery. I know he’s not just any fighter, so I’m doing everything I can to come away with the win on May 15.” Ranked in the top five by all four sanctioning bodies at super bantamweight, Roman (27-3-1, 10 KOs) will look to continue on his path back toward another world title when he steps in the ring on May 15. The 30-year-old from Los Angeles most recently won an exciting 12-round unanimous decision over former champion Juan Carlos Payano last September. Roman first became world champion in 2017, when he stopped Shun Kubo for the WBA title. Roman would go on to unify titles by beating TJ Doheny for his IBF strap in 2019, before losing a narrow split decision to Murodjon Akhmadaliev in January 2020. “I’m delighted to be fighting once again and can’t wait to step into the ring May 15 on SHOWTIME,” said Roman. “Ricardo Espinoza is a very tough fighter with a lot of heart. I know this fight is going to be another war and I’m fully prepared to go to battle. I’ve stayed in shape since my last fight, so fans can expect to see me throw a lot of punches. I’m going to make this fight a classic Mexican showdown.” The 23-year-old Espinoza (25-3, 21 KOs) has fought professionally since 2015 and has won 15 of his last 16 fights heading into May 15. Fighting out of Tijuana, Mexico, Espinoza dropped a bantamweight interim title fight to current world champion John Riel Casimero in 2019 via a 12th round knockout in a fight that was virtually tied on the cards. Espinoza bounced back with two straight victories, including his most recent triumph, a unanimous decision win over previously unbeaten Brandon Valdes last August. “I’m training as hard as I ever have for this opportunity on May 15,” said Espinoza. “I feel strong and prepared for anything Roman is going to throw at me. I know that he’s an accomplished fighter, but I have all of the tools to be victorious and win an exciting fight that the fans are going to love.” A Mayweather Promotions prospect from Sacramento, Calif., Martínez (15-0, 11 KOs) has trained for this fight in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 23-year-old earned a career-best victory in his last outing, defeating veteran contender Claudio Marrero by unanimous decision in October on SHOWTIME. Previously, Martínez added three stoppage victories to his record in 2019 to run up a seven-fight knockout streak heading into the Marrero fight. “I’ve felt great in camp and have already been preparing hard for this opponent,” said Martinez. “My last fight was an incredible experience. The biggest thing it taught me is just because you're winning, don't fall asleep at the wheel. That's the same mentality I'm taking into this fight. I proved in my last fight that I can box and can hang with the best in the sport. This is a side many haven't seen because I've been decapitating my previous opponents. The world is going to see how much versatility I carry in my skill set. May 15 is another day in the office, and it's time to work!” The Tijuana, Mexico native Burgos (34-4-2, 21 KOs) has faced an impressive resume of top fighters throughout his extensive career, dropping world title bouts to Mikey Garcia and Hozumi Hasegawa, in addition to a draw in a 130-pound title tilt against Roman Martinez. The 33-year-old ended up on the short end of decisions in challenges of unbeaten champion Devin Haney in 2018 and undefeated Hector Tanajara in January 2020. Most recently, he won a unanimous decision over Juan Ramon Bernal in March 2020. "This is another opportunity for me to show that I have a lot left to give in the ring," says Burgos. "Martínez doesn't have a strong chin, as everyone saw when he got dropped twice by Claudio Marrero in his last fight. I've been training hard and waiting for an opportunity like this. Fans can expect an explosive performance on May 15."

House political leaders back economic amendments in Charter
#PHnews: House political leaders back economic amendments in Charter
MANILA – Leaders from various political parties and power blocs in the House of Representatives met on Tuesday to back Speaker Lord Allan Velasco’s resolution proposing amendments to the restrictive economic provisions in the 1987 Constitution.
The hybrid meeting called by Velasco took place a day before the House Committee on Constitutional Amendments would conduct its hearing on Resolution of Both Houses No. 2 (RBH 2).
“There is a strong and united consensus among political leaders in the House to back Speaker Velasco’s initiative towards liberalizing the economic provisions in the Constitution,” Deputy Speaker and Bagong Henerasyon Rep. Bernadette Herrera said.
Physically present at the meeting were Deputy Speakers Mikee Romero, Kristine Singson Meehan and Wes Gatchalian; and Quezon Rep. Mark Enverga, Quezon City Rep. Kit Belmonte, Negros Occidental Rep. Francisco Benitez, and Ako Bicol Party-list Rep. Alfredo Garbin Jr.
Those present via teleconferencing were Deputy Speakers Doy Leachon, Roberto Puno, Munir Arbison, and Eric Martinez; Majority Leader Ferdinand Martin Romualdez; Minority Leader Joseph Stephen Paduano; and Pampanga Rep. Mikey Arroyo, Davao City Rep. Isidro Ungab, Surigao del Norte Rep. Robert Ace Barbers, Rizal Rep. Michael John Duavit, Bataan Rep. Joet Garcia, Aurora Rep. Rommel Angara, Palawan Rep. Franz Alvarez, Batangas Rep. Eileen Ermita-Buhain, AAMBIS-OWA Rep. Sharon Garin, and Marikina City Rep. Stella Quimbo.
The lawmakers represent major political parties and blocs in the House --PDP-Laban, Nationalist People’s Coalition, Nacionalista Party, National Unity Party, Lakas-NUCD, Hugpong ng Pagbabago, Liberal Party, and Party-list Coalition Foundation Inc.
RBH 2 aims to amend certain economic provisions of the Charter, particularly Articles XII (National Patrimony and Economy), XIV (Education, Science, Technology, Arts, Culture and Sports) and XVI (General Provisions).
The measure seeks to insert the phrase “unless otherwise provided by law” to several sections of the Constitution, which restrict foreign ownership of land, natural resources, public utilities, educational institutions, media and advertising.
It provides that by a vote of three-fourths of all its members, the Senate and the House of Representatives voting separately could propose amendments to the economic provisions of the basic law of the land.
Garbin, who chairs the House Committee on Constitutional Amendments, assured that the proposed amendments will be limited to the economic provisions in light of the damaging effects of the Covid-19 pandemic to the Philippine economy.
He said the slight change in the Constitution’s language will help “improve the investment climate and generate much-needed investments and jobs to offset the devastating economic impact of the pandemic.” (PNA)

Written & Directed by: Joe Sill Starring: Matteo Aluisi, Dante Spencer, Shahanna Jaffer, Naiya Singh Padilla, Mona Sishodia, Iyad Hajjaj, Zoya Yaseka, Meghan Alexander, Jon Komp Shim, Darren Kendrick Client: HITACHI
Two A.I.’s — one older generation and one newer — wander through a looking-glass of a limbo world, gazing at humanity’s past and present in search of humans who might carry the torch into humanity’s future -- and give what knowledge they can, in hopes that we may one day solve the problems we'll face in the future.
This is a branded short film for the Japanese technologies company, HITACHI, where the company was seeking to find a way to tell an emotional story about the many crises we face as a human race, and our relationship to artificial intelligence. It was a unique situation where a technologies company sought to craft an abstract, art-driven and hypothetical film as a vessel to spread an important message to anybody developing artificial intelligence: that we must do so quickly and with a moral compass, in hopes that one day AI will be advanced enough and driven by empathy to help human beings solve potential crises together... as AI, being one of our greatest creations, may be the essential factor in ensuring the survival of the human race.

How do all your characters feel about sex?
Jane - Jane’s fairly buttoned up, used to spending long stretches of time alone and rarely feeling truly comfortable opening up to another person, emotionally or sexually. She needs to feel totally at ease with someone to be prepared to have sex with them. Unreciprocated sexual interest can make her feel very uncomfortable very quickly.
Mettius - If he saw one (1) boob he would go bright red and run out of the room. If you imply this in front of him though he will angrily insist that he has had like tons of sex, just all of it.
Hidden Spring - The Twin Mothers was a pretty sexually open culture, especially where women were concerned. Hidden Spring had a comfortable relationship with Nesting Crane. After that, well, the Legion happened. After escaping, she’s not averse to the idea of a relationship, but is too preoccupied to actually look for it.
Velasquez - A consummate wanderer, she has had few long-term relationships, preferring instead flings with other women on the caravan trail. She sees sex as a bit of fun, inherently ridiculous, and a good way to pass the time.
Mikey - Still a bit confused as to whether she just wants a bit of fun or a romantic connection from ladies, has little actual experience but will nod along with dirty jokes and acts like she knows it all anyway.
Rufus - Threw himself into his work after his daughter died and he and his wife split up; now he’s getting older and his body’s not working as well as it should anyway.
Mari - Has a healthy sexual appetite, enthusiastic and down for experimenting. However, having been sort-of-recently widowed in the game, and having kind of complex feelings about it. Because of how strained things were between them, she doesn’t grieve him nearly as much as she feels she ought to be, so she’s not comfortable having sex soon after - even the desire makes her feel guilty, as if it’s further proof that she was a “bad wife”. She doesn’t sleep with anyone before Preston since waking up, since falling in love with him is part of what allows her to accept that she’s moved on.
Lunari - Lunari is young and honestly finds the idea still pretty intimidating, and is also simply to busy/otherwise emotionally engaged for the bulk of Fallout 3 to even think about it.
Milla - Vaguely curious but mostly has more important things to do. Had trouble really connecting with the other Arroyo villagers her age so was always a bit detached from the sex and relationships going on.
Arra - Has no desire for intimacy and will shoot you if you try and touch her. Will use sex as a tool if absolutely necessary but will not do it on her own steam.
Mir - Has the same trauma-based responses to touch and the idea of sex as his sister, but unlike her actually does want intimacy and is frustrated with his own fear of it.
Iris - Tends to approach sex with a rather clinical, detached air. Very scrupulous about proper protection, and takes a while to even view wastelanders as viable sexual partners due to a fear of disease.
