So ayun na nga. Huwag natin isiping lagi tayong tama. Intindihin din natin ‘yung pinanggagalingan ng iba. Maging bukas tayo sa healthy na discussion. Ngayon kung talagang tama tayo. We can educate. There’s a proper way of doing that. Methods that doesn’t involve calling them out as bobo at tanga. Estupido at ignorante. Now after we educate them, let’s stop at that na. Huwag natin sila pilitin kasi may sarili din silang isip at paniniwala. We could always agree to disagree. Kasi at the end of the day.
I’ll just leave it right here. 😉
Stay safe everyone.
Ctto.

Sunday Boredom
I woke up a little early this morning around 6 o’clock. However, due to sleepiness and tiredness on yesterday’s event. I fell back to sleep and woke up around 10AM. I had a breakfast and go back to my bed cause I really feel unproductive. I watched again You Changed My Life again it feels like I am Laida Magtalas there who just love Miggy Montenegro and up to now, I’m still living in that fairy tale dream that maybe one day I will find my own Miggy soon.
Earlier, I randomly posted about saying about how they appreciate me and Jehan posted a gif saying i love you. OMG!!! My heart is so full and happy. Even if we are just friends, I’m happy. Even some times, I feel annoyed at him for ignoring me. Sometimes, I am being so moody and I hope and wish that I could see him more often and be with him for more time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He is so active in social media lately and had some interactions with me.  I just tried not to fall back a lot on him. I might get hurt again.
PS: He also sent me the photos of Butter earlier cause he went home. He is getting bigger already and I can’t to see him and play with him. I love you, Baby Butter. You will always be my baby and I hope you will stay strong and healthy. See you soon, baby. ♥

Ang Karisma ni John Lloyd Cruz
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
“Every film is a journey. Every Character is a journey” - John Lloyd Cruz
Kumita ng Php 179,569,117 ang “A Very Special Love,” habang Php 232,209,842 naman ang kinita ng “You Change My Life.”
John Lloyd Cruz bilang Leading Man
Tumblr media

A Very Special Love, a Filipino movie directed by the very famous Cathy Garcia-Molina, is all about how Laida Magtalas (Sarah Geronimo) and Miggy Montenegro (John Lloyd Cruz) fell in love with each other. Laida was obsessed with Miggy since the day she interviewed him when she was still in college. As Laida was going to Flippage for her job interview, Miggy was scolding his staff in a meeting on why they were slacking and giving him poorly constructed ideas for their magazine, Bachelor. After the meeting, half of the staff heads resigned and Miggy ordered his secretary to look for more worthy and wittier staff members and when he went out to get his coffee, he bumped into Laida, who was carrying the coffee that one of the resigned members left in her hands. Miggy, infuriated and pissed, asked Laida’s name but of course, she didn’t reply immediately seeing that she was too dumbstruck to reply because her all-time crush was in front of her. When Laida told her name and why she was there, Miggy immediately hired her as his Editorial Assistant seeing that they were in need of staff members. That’s how their love story started. Just as their relationship progressed, Laida, who was a very innocent minded girl, became tougher in life and was the one who made Miggy, who was always the high-blooded boss, slowly became that very touching and sweet guy that he is at the end of the movie.
In terms of their acting, Sarah Geronimo did an amazing job in acting as Laida. She looked like she was really in love with John Lloyd’s character. She really portrayed or captured that sweet and innocent looking character that Laida is. Meanwhile, John Lloyd did well but I wished he would put a lot more effort in showing Miggy’s tender side but nonetheless he did great when it comes to Miggy’s infuriated side. I really love the part where Miggy gave a slice of pizza to Laida to show his gratitude and when they were singing on the night of the child of John Rae’s (Joross Gamboa) baptism. The look that John Lloyd gave Sarah was just perfect. It’s that look that some women would just wish their boyfriends or husbands would give them. It’s that look that shows you truly care for that person.
With regards with the production and technical aspects of the film, the resolution wasn’t that large and it’s wasn’t that high definition unlike it’s two other films since it was made around 2008. If you listen carefully to the audio of the film, you’ll notice that the audio or sound has too much echo that the audio will not be that audible at some scenes especially when the scenes are inside their office or inside the restaurant. As regards with the lighting, it isn’t that well thought of, especially with the lighting inside the office of Flippage. The colors are dull and it doesn’t look good in the eyes of the viewers. Some lighting is just off and it gives off this weird and boring look to the office. Yes, some might say it was because of the resolution of the camera but if that was the result, the editors would have put in more lighting in the scene and made it as if they were really in the office. The lighting in the house of Laida was much more attractive than the one in their office. Despite the unattractive lighting and inaudible audio, the sequencing was really flawless, it really looked like they really thought of it and they worked hard on the sequences so that even a kid would be able to catch up on the story. The composition was exquisite. They really got the perfect angles and shots of the actors and the scenes. The way they used close ups on the scenes where Laida and Miggy was really in the moment, it was flawless. The way they shot the part where Laida was posing between the two columns while Miggy was fixing her pose, simply beautiful. If I was given a chance to rate their production and technical aspects, I’d give them a 7.
Despite being this film being the cliché type of romantic comedy where boy meets girl and they end up together in the end, the film shows quite a numerous values or lessons. First, family always comes first. In the beginning of the film, where Laida and her family is going to drop off the children to school and Laida to her interview, her love for her family was shown when she said, “Siyempre kayo pa rin ang iisipin ko para kapag natanggap ako, mayroon na akong pandagdag sa puhunan natin at sa pangbaon ng mga ito (her siblings).” Second, never lose hope. It was shown in the film while Laida and her officemates were in the pantry. Her officemates were convincing Laida that Miggy was evil and that she should just resign but instead, she said to them that they should just believe in the goodness that Miggy has. Hopefulness was also shown when Miggy was given more time to prepare for Bachelor’s anniversary issue. He never gave up and in the end, even though they didn’t become number one, they still enjoyed making it and his staff was even impressed with their own creation. Third, always take care of the sick, even if it was the person you hated. This lesson was shown when Laida went to Miggy’s apartment to drop off some work-related files and when she noticed that he was sick, despite her anger towards him, she still helped him in any way she can and even though he threw up on her, she still continued to nurture him until his sickness faded away.

OTP A to OTP B: Today I realized I won’t be making any vows for my wedding. NO! Because this is not the day for promises. Today I stand here in front of you in complete surrender. I have no worries. I have no fear because I know and I know because i’m sure. I’m sure because I’m yours. God bless our marriage and God bless me for wanting 12 kids with you. I love you.

Sometimes, being the best means being the least. Be good even after you made a mistake. Sometimes, being good just works down to be able to say sorry. Sometimes, being good is loving the people who hurt you and making the most difficult choices that may hurt the people you love. Sometimes, we are so focused on being the best that we forget to be good. We lose sight of the fact that everyday is a struggle to just be better.

It Takes a Man and a Woman
Hi everyone! Allow me to try something new here. Well, not really new, but new for me at least. I watched a Tagalog movie recently, something I seldom do I assure you. My nephew recommended it fiercely, even wanted to watch it once more with me. Finally, I did last Friday. It was the latest installment of the Miggy Montenegro and Laida Magtalas saga. I was able to watch the first two already so it's not as if the story is unfamiliar altogether. Besides, all who watched it told me in more ways than one that this one is really good. As per experience, most movies I watched with stellar recommendation proved otherwise when I finally got around to seeing it. But somehow, I must admit, I had high hopes for this film.
And so, I resolved to watch it last Friday. I checked the schedule and  went to the cinema as early as an hour before the showing. I bought my "baon" and walked through the turnstile going inside the cinema. I was the first person inside and then a few seconds later, a woman came up behind me. We were both "solo flight" for the movie and so we decided to take a seat together. We started chatting about the movie and its predecessors. After a while I realized that I didn't know her name (I wasn't excited, not one bit hehehe) and so I introduced myself to her and asked her name.
After 10 minutes or so, the National anthem was upon us and soon the movie started. Let me just warn you that I will not really narrate the story line here. I will, however, describe how the movie made me feel like a review of some sort. I will try to remember some scenes but I do apologize  if I might not be as accurate as I would like to be. So here goes....the first 20 - 30 minutes were funny. I can hear the genuine laughter of the audience all around me. Sarah and John Lloyd's chemistry onscreen is undeniable. John Lloyd's reputation as a matinee idol is definitely secure as a bank's security system with this gig. As for Sarah, her acting has greatly improved. I suppose her real life experience should be credited for the improvement. She was good before, mind you, but with this movie, I can feel depth in her acting. Her comedic timing is also commendable judging from the laughter that she elicited every time she appears on the screen. There were many memorable lines that stayed with me, particularly :

cr: uploader, taken from the movie's FB page
I must say that I loved the story. Its simplicity was what made it appealing. Also, much credit goes to the director, Cathy Garcia Molina. She steered the story well. Some of my favorite scenes include Laida's breakdown after the New York meeting with Empire Media and she finally  forgave her father for his indiscretion. It was poignant and it moved me to tears (no surprise there since even commercials make me cry like a baby). Surprisingly, I enjoyed this movie in its entirety. No boring scenes and even the script was superb. I must mention that my favorite scene was the proposal at the airport. A close second was the wedding scene (spoiler alert! I won't apologize though 'coz if anyone hasn't seen this yet, I'd say what are you waiting for?!). All in all, it was a great movie experience. It is no wonder that fans are clamoring for a 4th installment. I do not know how they can top this one but I am sure, that it will be a daunting task. Finally, as cliche as it sounds, this film is certifiably in the "feel good" category and one I would not mind watching over and over again.
