could you explain (as briefly or detailedly as you feel like, i'm just curious) what makes a flag better than another flag other than just a general like or dislike for the design? like how does one design an effective and "correct" flag? what makes some flags bad? i've been in so many different art and design classes and whatnot and have never learned about this but it interests me!!
oh my god absolutely. buckle up lol
so the main purpose of a flag in general is to symbolise something, in this case a country. a good flag should be something people can rally around. the most important factor there is if people actually like the flag (its not a hideous eyesore). but beyond that, there are a couple general rules that help flags stay unique and accessible so everyone in that country/state/organization/etc. that it represents will be happy with it.
First you have to think about where flags most commonly are: on flagpoles. a flag should not be designed to be seen from five feet away, it should be designed to be seen from hundreds of feet away. in that vein, it has to be simple.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
heres the flag of panama and kentucky for comparison. panama’s flag is simple and neat, while kentucky’s flag has lots of little details that are hard to make out even on a phone screen
Secondly, you are not going to be seeing a flag on a flagpole straight on like these images. they will be fluttering in the breeze (AT BEST) and a portion of the flag will be obscured. you know what that means? NO TEXT. you cannot read shit if that flag is flying in the wind, even if you’re on the right side of it so the text isnt backwards. if the wind isnt blowing then youre out of luck
Tumblr media
on the left is the german flag, which even if you didnt know was the german flag, you can still tell what it looks like. three stripes, black red yellow. on the right is the flag of illinois, which is trying to tell you its the flag of illinois but you cant tell because that text on the bottom is unreadable.
thirdly, for the purposes of being a good rallying icon, its good to use symbolism representative of what the flag is for
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i dont really have a bad example here because this is subjective but on the left is the flag of new mexico. the red sun symbol is a puebloan symbol representing the native peoples who lived in whats now new mexico for thousands of years and the yellow background is for spain, who owned the land before the us took it. on the right is the flag of chicago, with two blue stripes represent lake michigan and the chicago river, and the red stars represent four major historical events
a lot of people will also say that you should only use two or three colors in a good flag but i think you can make more work, even though it might be harder
Tumblr media Tumblr media
indonesia’s flag, on the left, is a flag with two colors that i would say isnt great (its almost identical to the flag of monaco, which existed already at the time indonesia chose theirs) and on the right is the flag of south africa, which is a flag with lots of colors that i would consider to be a good flag
all of that is to say, if you want to make a good flag, model it off an existing country flag. those are generally the best flags out there because they have the most pressure to be a good flag. most people who live in a country they’re proud to live in love their flags (theres a reason the us flag is so strongly associated with extreme patriotism!). The same cant be said of most states, as a lot of state flags have detailed designs and text, and especially cant be said of cities. i showed the chicago flag earlier because its one of the few city flags in the us that gets actual usage outside the government. chicagoans are proud of their flag as they should be and if youve been to chicago, youve seen the flag. they put that thing everywhere, from backpacks to water bottles. now to top it all off here are some of my personal favorite flags from around the world
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
left: the flag of barbados (i love the color scheme and the trident is a perfect stylized symbol) middle: the flag of yabucoa, puerto rico (a rare flag that uses purple, as well as having a pretty unique design) right: the flag of maryland, usa (a controversial pick, but its distinctive and marylanders wear it with pride (often literally))

Tree of Hope, Remain Strong, 1946 by Frida Kahlo
After Frida returned to Mexico from the United States, she was staying in bed for a while and then wearing a steel corset for eight months. But her health condition has been worsening instead of improving. She got sharp pains in her spine and lost her appetite due to the long-lasting pain. But she still paints and in a letter she wrote to her friend, she mentioned this painting, Tree of Hope, 1946 as "nothing but the result of the damned operation!"
In this painting, under the gloomy sky, the sun and moon divided the background into two halves of light and dark. In the middle, Frida was sitting there and weeping in a read Tehuana costume. Nevertheless she seems strong and confident. Behind her on a hospital trolley, lying a second Frida, who is anesthetized and her surgical incisions still open and dripping with blood. Frida was holding a pink orthopedic corset while sitting in the wooden chair. On her other hand, she was holding a flag which has words from a song ""Cielito Lindo" - "Tree of Hope, Remain Strong."
On the flagpole, there is a red tip that looks like a surgical instrument stained with blood, or a paintbrush dipped in red paint. The barren landscape behind her has two fissures which is metaphor of the wounds on her back. Frida painted this painting for her patron Eduardo Morillo Safa. In a letter to him, Frida mentioned: "There is a skeleton (or death) that flees in the face of my will to live." But she later removed the skeleton to please Eduardo. But she cannot eliminate the menace of death. In this portrait, by putting two Frida's images together, one is a victim of the botched tragedy, the other is the heroic survivor, Frida used it as a retablo and an act of faith. Frida takes charge of her destiny and becomes her own saver and hero.

✉️ for slip and fall season, ⭐️ for they do go see the dead chimp
💝thank you pal!
✉️- Did you title your chapters? What title do you like best?
you just want me to say “This Is How Howard Hamlin Bowls” and FINE, you’re RIGHT!
i do title them and it’s the worst and hardest part of the whole process ahahaha
⭐- What’s a scene/paragraph you’re proud of?
i’m gonna cheat and pick two paragraphs!!
(And she thinks that he shouldn’t exist in nature because nature is not generous, nature doesn’t give you things like him, nature takes, and nature takes, and so she thinks that she should just hand him back first—)
this one is kinda the obvious choice but the experience of writing this moment was pretty amazing, i really shocked myself with the thought process and i can still remember when the end of the sentence hit me. it was just this crazy exciting lightbulb moment that doesn’t happen very often and i’m really glad it worked for other people, too!
Above them, at the top of three towering flagpoles, flags crack in the wind. The wind is blowing parallel to the mountains, cutting unimpeded over the empty land here, until it drops again. Then everything is just big sky and clean lines and a sunlight that feels almost pink in the way that New Mexico sunlight sometimes does.
and then this little piece of description, especially since @the-parallax-of-rain pointed out that “big sky” mirrors jimmy’s first impression of new mexico and “clean lines” mirrors kim’s first impression, which i hadn’t intended at all!!
ty for asking!! 💝💝

FLASHBack: Week 96 - The People’s Mario
On FLASHBack this week, we're going to take a cue from history, specifically Vladimir Lenin's October Revolution that began on 25 October of 1917, and marked the end of the reign of the Russian Tzars. (Yes, I know that's a Julian date and on the Gregorian Calendar it was actually 7 November, but this is a Flash Animation series, not a calendar series, and I wanted to do this post in October, so there.) However, instead of looking at historical communism, we're going to be looking at one of it's more modern incarnations, Nintendo's beloved mascot, Mario. On 15 April 2006, Newgrounds user Manuel "celarent" Alderete from Chihuahua, Mexico, posted The People's Mario, a Flash set to music from the Red Army Choir, and based off of a longstanding urban legend that the Super Mario Games were intended to be communist propaganda. Two days later it was Frontpaged and awarded Newgrounds' Daily Feature, and by the end of the week it was the Weekly Users' Choice.   Filter effects have been applied to the animation to give it the flicker, grain, and vignette of old film. The Mushroom Kingdom of the first Super Mario Game is rendered as a bleak desolate brick plain. Mario, while ostensibly a plumber at this point in his franchise, wields an oversized hammer like he did when he was a carpenter facing off against Donkey Kong, although this hammer is clearly shaped like the one from the iconic ☭ Hammer and Sickle ☭ emblem from the Soviet Union flag. He is set upon by Goombas which he dispatches in the usual Mario manner, by stomping on them or kicking a Koopa shell into them, however the results are much more graphic and bloody than the 8 Bit NES game ever rendered them. The animation ends with him tearing down the Koopa banner from the flagpole and erecting a flag with a Red Star (the symbol of the Soviet military) over the castle.
Celarent was not the first to highlight similarities between Mario and communist iconography. The shock humor website murderize.com had an article detailing the major points back in 2001. A few frames of The People's Mario were used by MatPat in an early Game Theory episode on the subject (and he even title drops the Flash while showing the clip, sandwiched between the excess of meme-ery that is characteristic of MatPat's early work). Because of the humor potential of family-friendly Nintendo's beloved mascot of almost four decades possibly being secret propaganda for a hot button political topic (to US audiences at least), references and callouts to the rumor have persisted into the modern era, such as with Clickhole's review of Super Mario Odysssy.   That marks the end of Marxism on FLASHBack for now. Next week, who knows? I'll determine something though.   P.S. Krinkles has released a Demo for the latest iteration of his spin-off game, Madness: Project Nexus. The 2D Flash Animated character designs translate really well to the 3D engine.

Vexillology hate
Look, I still think the common vexillology talking points are bullshit, especially when they relate to being able to see a flag waving in the distance off a flagpole and being able to sew it easily.
Sometimes flags aren’t for waving around on gigantic poles far away. Pride flags are especially like this, given that they’re frequently just displayed when they’re in flag form. Many times, “flag” can just mean “specific kind of banner,” especially when you go into cultural context. Plus honor guard flags? Would you really argue that the POW/MIA flag isn’t iconic and instantly recognizable despite being too complex to recreate from memory? Hell, even color guard flags are ridiculously iconic, despite having super complex designs that you’re not even expected to be able to see properly because they’re in constant motion. Honestly, I’ve always found the flag of Mexico to be really iconic, even if it is hard to draw--it’s a very iconic seal, and I could reproduce it just as well as the POW/MIA flag! And I truly don’t see the issue with seal flags! Do you really think state flags were originally composed to be sewn together and flown really high up in a whole bunch of variegated contexts where it would be necessary to be able to distinguish the flag of one state from another? No, you just know it’s your state’s flag by the context of being in that state, fucking chill. Also we have printed flags now, we can go as complex as we want, speaking strictly from a neutral flagdom standpoint and not from the whole ~people’s etsy stores~ thing... which even then doesn’t hold a lot of water with me, considering people have etsy stores full of all kinds of fanart of really complex characters and other things that aren’t color palettes. If they can figure out how to reduce really big complex things into color palette bracelets and stuff, then they don’t actually need their hands being held with color palette flags--they’ll find a way.
Also why aren’t we out here going off on country three-stripe flags, if stripe pride flags are so blasphemous and indistinguishable? I don’t care how differentiated the three-color combinations are from one another--if the argument holds for pride flags of varying numbers and colors of stripes, then it’s gotta hold equally if not more true for all the countries who have three stripes alone and nothing else to mark them. Like oh wow, people on the internet who aren’t professional flag makers or graphic designers don’t know what the gold standards for flag-ology are, wow. /s How’s that shit not just the same as everything else passionate queer people get shat on for, really? “You’ve got to be able to instantly recognize a flag” no you don’t, that’s why we have blogs and sites to catalog pride flags. Again, you know how many folks don’t recognize their own state flag when shown it on a contextless piece of paper or something? But they do recognize it when it’s flying beneath the American flag, and that’s what actually matters. Obviously most people aren’t going to recognize most pride flags, but if you’re walking down the street looking queer and wearing a flag like a cape, they sure will understand what that signifies.
I would also argue that the whole “you can’t just slap a highly specific clip art onto the flag to be the iconic symbol, because then that makes everybody else beholden to being able to obtain or replicate that one clipart!” is also culturally contextually dependent. After all, there are tons of flags, typically from the global south, that have highly detailed clipart on them, and like. Honestly if that works for those countries, who the fuck are we to keep harping on why that makes for a ~bad flag~? And no, I’m not just talking about nation flags, I’m also talking about political ideology flags and social movement flags from those countries, as well. Like if the social context of your flag is that it’s going to be digitally printed or used as digital art or plastered on t-shirts... then why does it have to live up to the standards of being seen as a tiny one inch speck in the distance that could be embroidered by an etsy artist toddler with their eyes closed? Why can’t flags just serve the context they were designed for? Why can’t ~vexillologist~ tumblr shut the fuck up about how all context is the same, ever? You can make the argument that color palette flags aren’t terribly iconic, but you don’t have to drag all this “flags are used in one specific way ever” nonsense into it, because you’re frankly a wanker if you do. If a pride flag ever ended up on top of a super high, distant flagpole, the fact that the news media would cover that shit so damn fast would even negate the need for the pride flag to be distinguishable from afar. So quit fucking telling people that the proper way to design a pride flag is to draw it on a postage stamp and hold it at arm’s length with a squint to see if it looks like anything. It’s fine if things look similar. The ace and grey-ace flags are supposed to be like that, so are the aro and agender flags, and it actually doesn’t look any less iconic, it makes them symbolic.

The old Utah flag vs the New Utah Flag, following the principals pf flag design.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Delaware (doing whatever the fuck) vs New Mexico (classy as hell and following the principals)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pocatello and Chicago. Which do you think is, ya know, better?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Good flag design isn't "drab and minimalist" - it's thoughtful and symbolic. Don't put tiny details and words that you can't actually see from a flagpole and use colors and symbols that people will recognize isn't "corporate and joyless" it's smart?
And the vast majority of US state and city flags DONT follow these guidelines and they look like ass. They don't get used because they aren't distinctive and look terrible.
Tumblr media
how joyless do you have to be to try to introduce rules to something like flag making

Facing Reelection, Trump Expands His Anti-LGBTQ Agenda
In 2019, the Trump administration dramatically expanded upon discriminatory, anti-LGBTQ policies implemented in the first two years of this administration that are harming the health and well-being of LGBTQ people not just in America, but around the world.
It rolled back sexual orientation and gender identity nondiscrimination provisions in health care, employment, and housing. It appointed more anti-LGBTQ federal court judges. And it retreated even further from global leadership on the moral stance that LGBTQ rights are human rights.
ADVERTISING
Alarmingly, other policies that are not specifically aimed at LGBTQ people, such as restricting asylum hearings in the United States only to people who have been denied asylum in another country, and global religious “freedom” initiatives, are disproportionately affecting LGBTQ people.
Collectively, these policies are unwinding decades of progress that have been made by LGBTQ people and their allies to build access and equity for LGBTQ people in public life. Most tragically, people are dying as a result.
In June 2019, a transgender woman from El Salvador seeking asylum in the United States and who received a “credible fear” finding — which meant that she could not be deported until her case had been fully considered — died just days after being released from a detention camp in New Mexico. The 25-year-old had spent six weeks in custody at the Otero County Processing Center, during which time she became severely ill but did not receive medical treatment. After falling unconscious, she was transferred to a hospital where she died four days later.
Three months before her death, the ACLU and Santa Fe Dreamers Project had requested a meeting with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials and the warden of the Otero camp to discuss allegations by LGBTQ migrants that they were being denied medical care and also subjected to “rampant sexual harassment, discrimination, and abuse” by guards.
Last year also saw the announcement of new policies aimed directly at harming LGBTQ people. In June, the Department of Health and Human Services released a proposed rule that, if finalized, would reverse a provision in the Affordable Care Act which prohibits anti-LGBTQ discrimination in health care settings. Six regulations prohibiting anti-LGBTQ discrimination in health insurance and elder care were also repealed in 2019. In November, HHS released another proposed rule that would remove regulatory provisions that explicitly prohibit organizations that receive HHS grant funding from discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity, sex, and religion.
HHS awards more than $500 billion in grant funding annually, and its grantees include organizations that provide a wide array of health and social services, including health care at federally funded community health centers, HIV and STI testing and prevention, refugee resettlement, elder care programs, childcare and after-school programs, community meal programs, and adoption and foster care services.
These programs are vital to millions of Americans, especially for marginalized communities, including LGBTQ people, who already experience pervasive discrimination that acts as a barrier to accessing care and services.Last year also saw the implementation of discriminatory policies first announced in 2017.
In April, a ban on transgender people serving in the U.S. military that was first announced via a series of tweets by President Trump in 2017 went into effect after the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the ban, lifting injunctions imposed by lower courts. An estimated 13,600 transgender servicemembers are now at risk of being discharged.Last year also saw new discriminatory policies that would likely have been met with fierce resistance earlier in his presidency.
For example, during President Trump’s first year in office, foreign embassies were permitted to continue the practice of flying rainbow flags during Pride month. Last year, that guidance was reversed after the U.S. Embassy in Brazil requested to fly the rainbow pride flag in June, citing an increasingly hostile anti-LGBTQ environment in Brazil after the election last year of President Jair Bolsonaro.
The State Department not only refused the request, but alerted its entire diplomatic corps that the rainbow flag could not be displayed on any public-facing flagpole at embassies across the globe.Things don’t look any better for 2020. On Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend, Vice President Mike Pence attended services at Holy City Church of God in Christ in Memphis, Tenn., where he also addressed the congregation.
After Pence spoke, Bishop Jerry Wayne Taylor sermonized that LGBTQ people have been possessed by a “demonic spirit” and that the devil was “trying to destroy the foundation of marriage and cut off the reproductive process” because “two men can’t have a baby, two women can’t have a baby.” The service was streamed live over the White House’s YouTube channel, where it can still be viewed. The harm experienced by LGBTQ people under the Trump administration is extensive and dangerous. We have every reason to believe things are only going to get worse in 2020. Simply hoping that these proposals never gain traction is not a strategy. We must mobilize to oppose and reverse them.

Big Hoop Energy: A thesis, a work in progress
Alrighty, gather around ladies and gents, it is time for Big Hoop Energy. An explanation of a mood: let me begin by saying that this started on my birthday (Scorp season was powerful this year), when I purchased my first pair of hoops.
Are hoops suddenly SUPER in? Yes. Did I subconsciously fear growing up that wearing them would be a giant blinking arrow to my Latina-ness, my otherness? Also yes. Am I just beginning to unpack this? Also yes! Join me! Around the same time, I watched a straight, white, man give a presentation on something so mundane, with a powerpoint so pointless and lacking charisma, but with so much confidence and enthusiasm, that it hit me. I too can retain that level of self-assurance, confidence, enthusiasm, passion, motivation, etc. I can radiate that in everything I do, and I don’t have to be arrogant or rude about it.
In the year of our Lorde 2019, I'm going into everything professional, personal, & political with BHE. I invite you all to join me. It is nOT, and I cannot emphasize this enough, BDE. Pete Davidson circa Ariana Grande had BDE. He does not have BHE. It’s like BDE, sure, but more feminine and feminist. (Honestly it’s related to the whole “grow a pair” thing. They’re so weak and fragile. Whyyyyy would I want a pair) Dicks, frankly, aren’t cute. And they’re not that impressive either.
“Why not Big Boob Energy?” they cried. “What about Bib Tits Energy?” they said. Well, because I don’t have big boobs, and I do have BHE. More importantly, because not everyone likes their big boobs, not everyone wants them, they’re often quite uncomfortable and painful, and they are a symbol of status mostly in the eyes of the male gaze. I just don’t care!!
“But I don’t wear hoops or have my ears pierced or believe in circles as a shape!” Fine! You do not have to be wearing, in possession of, or even interested in hoops to give off some serious BHE. It is simply a way of composing yourself. Men can compose themselves with BHE. I just find more examples in women.
Who has BHE? Excellent question :)
People you may know:
- Saturn (pun intended).
- Maggie Rogers in her SNL performance of Fallingwater. Maggie Rogers when she said she likes the color red because it takes up space.
- Ariana Grande in her Sweetener & TUN era, especially with 7 rings.
- Julie Andrews. No questions asked.
- @roxanegay 99% of the time, but most recently in her Playboy profile.
- Bree Newsome when she climbed the flagpole of the SC statehouse to take down the Confederate flag (2015).
- HRC when she wore that white power suit the night she became the first woman nominee for a major political party running for president.
- John Mayer in this interview about his closet.
- Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez getting sworn into Congress and channeling Sonia Sotomayor (also has BHE) with hoops and red lipstick.
- Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (a bi!) getting sworn into Congress in that fabulous outfit.
- Maya Little re: UNC’s Silent Sam.
- Honestly most of the women of the 116th Congress.
- Cole Sprouse lately ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
People I know:
- Claire starting a fuqin skincare blog
- Mary buying platform shoes even though she broke her foot the last time she owned platform shoes and then rocking them. Also Mary becoming the kind of person who says “I love resumes” and offering to look over them.
- Maria whenever she wears dark lipstick.
- Tori biking across the whole damn country
- Zackary finally taking himself to Mexico City
- Healy loving bike-ability, accessibility, and public transportation so much that she’s making moves to increase it in Jacksonville (@bikeduval on insta!!)
- Kara with her April Ludgate vibes being a force for creativity and smarts and goodness
- Me talking to my manager about applying for a new job, actually applying for said job, and realizing that I’m good at my current job.
*Big Hoop Energy is NOT:
- only political. Although the personal is often political so it might often be so, but it’s not required.
- only feminine.
- only nice. IMO, it emphasizes that you can be a badass, powerful person that radiates goodness, but there’s too much societal and historical weight placed on women, especially women of color, to behave and be nice and compose themselves. This is not that.
Anyway, I hope this has given you some guidance on my thoughts and feelings. Known that you, too, can give off Big Hoop Energy, and I can’t wait to see it.

April 3, 2018: United, Naomi Shihab Nye
United Naomi Shihab Nye
When sleepless, it’s helpful to meditate on mottoes of the states. South Carolina, “While I breathe I hope.”  Perhaps this could be the new flag on the empty flagpole. Or “I Direct” from Maine—why? Because Maine gets the first sunrise?  How bossy, Maine! Kansas, “To the Stars through Difficulties”— clackety wagon wheels, long, long land and the droning press of heat—cool stars, relief. In Arkansas, “The People Rule”—lucky you. Idaho, “Let It Be Perpetual”—now this is strange. Idaho, what is your “it”? Who chose these lines? How many contenders? What would my motto be tonight, in tangled sheets? Texas—“Friendship”—now boasts the Open Carry law. Wisconsin, where my mother’s parents are buried, chose “Forward.” New Mexico, “It Grows As It Goes”—now this is scary. Two dangling its. This does not represent that glorious place. West Virginia, “Mountaineers Are Always Free”—really? Washington, you’re wise. What could be better than “By and By”? Oklahoma must be tired—“Labor Conquers all Things.” Oklahoma, get together with Nevada, who chose only “Industry” as motto. I think of Nevada as a playground or mostly empty. How wrong we are about one another. For Alaska to pick “North to the Future” seems odd. Where else are they going?

These custom-designed flags are a favorite of many of our customers. Teardrop banner flags can be used at trade shows, in booths and shops, and at many special events - such as bedside parties, exhibitions, concerts and other outdoor events.
If you are looking for teardrop banner flags that you plan to use indoors, teardrop flag style is recommended. Due to the design of this flag, it is fully open 100% of the time.
The tear-jerker state of the banner also prevents it from blowing or moving, which makes this a tangible banner.
People often think that flags are long, big, and difficult to work with. That is simply not true. Our pole kits are lightweight and can be easily detected by a telescope making one large part. Compared to our wing-making flags, our teardrop banners shine by about 2lbs.
The total weight of the teardrop ticket is approximately 6.5lbs. This weight includes 1 flag, flag post, and ground pole. You can also upgrade your order to include a travel bag that allows all your parts to fit snugly in a fabric bag. This allows you to easily move and install our teardrop banners at various events.
Get out of the big crowd outside with our 17-foot banner kit box, or get your booth recognizable in an indoor shopping mall with our 8 foot flutter flag kit. Our custom flags are available in a variety of sizes, allowing you to use them at all times.
Are you looking to use these teardrop banner flags for an outdoor event or in your business repository?
If so, your list of features is not complete without one of our beloved spirit dancers. We can customize a soft tube man with your colors, logos (and drawings).
The combination of teardrop flags and air dancers will increase the visibility by increasing the number of eyes that look your way.

Mark Material:
Polyester woven fabric
Dimensions: 4 oz. weight (110gm)
Recommended Uses:
Internally or externally displaying your products, services, promotions, business logos, ads, or sales. Suitable for all sports events, concerts, festivals, trade shows, etc.
Weight:
Flags weights will vary from 5.5lb (8ft teardrop flag kit) to 10lbs per kit (14ft teardrop banner kit).
Printing Process:
We use a quantitative digital printing process that allows us to print directly from content. This allows for good bleeding with colors from the front to the back of our traditional flags. Dark colors will have a better appearance on the back of your custom flag than simple colors.
Average life time:
With occasional use and proper care and maintenance, your custom flag should last for 3+ years. If used outside daily, the duration of your life will be about 1 year. This “tears” or “oar” of the flag absorbs more air than our usual flag feathers. Make sure you get indoors during strong winds to prevent your poles from breaking. For long-lasting foreign flags, we recommend our feather-making flags, flag flags, or rectangular flags. Their shape allows for more air resistance.
Flag Blurring:
Leaving your flag outside for too long will speed up the process. Occasional flags will be 4+ years old, taking into account proper care. If used outdoors for 8+ hours a day, your flag will need to be changed within 9 to 12 months. Countries like California, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, and Arizona, experiencing extreme heat and dry weather, will cause your flags to speed up.
Color Verification:
Colors often vary from your computer screen display (RGB colors) to actual flag printing (CMYK color mode). We are unable to provide any guarantees of color matching. If you specify colors, swatches can be ordered for a small fee. Using Pantone colors is highly recommended when designing your teardrop banner flags. Purple, blues, and reds tend to be the most deceptive colors and look very different in caution to man. No refunds or printouts will be provided for color variations.

How does one sleep at night knowing they #politicized a #pandemic and are most likely responsible for spreading the disease. Maybe responsible for a death or multiple deaths. If you think that it’s a #hoax just like #climatechange or #Russian interference in the 2016 election I implore you to tell the families of 190,000 dead Americans, that #COVID19 is a hoax. You know what a hoax is? The “leader” of the free world Telling a reporter ( Ironically the same reporter who exposed #RichardNixon and #Watergate) that he knew of the danger of this #virus and LIED to the country about it. You know what a hoax is? Telling Americans that Mexico is paying for a boarder wall. They aren’t and never will. You know what else is a hoax? Calling yourself a patriot while aligning yourself with arguably the most deceitful, stupid, and racist “man” on the planet. You know what a hoax is? Wearing #MAGA merch. This isn’t a political movement unless you count moving backwards. You know what else is a hoax? Putting a #trump2020 flag on your flagpole above the American flag. Just ask any member of of #military The same military #trump dodged. The very military that has been disrespected and dishonored by “he who will not be named” The very military members the president called “losers” If you align with that paradigm, you’re not a patriot. What’s wrong with that picture? Who flys the flag of a politician? When did that become a thing? A politician who pisses on the single greatest military in the world. Who lives and breathes and defines who they are by the politician they support? It’s a #cult by every definition of the word. This entire administration is a hoax. #Repost @middleageriot with @get_repost https://www.instagram.com/p/CFNiEPpHVfz/?igshid=dii3dpkjd0bl
