5. My favorite ship of them
Him and Kitty! i don't really ship him w anyone else
11. Whatâs the first thing you think about when thinking about the character?
ANSWER THE QUESTION DAMN YOUR EYES and that shot of him sitting very thomas-ly in the what i would wear if i could club scene
27. If they could meet a character from another show/movie/etc, who would be the most fun for them to meet?
god its so hard..... the only thing that comes to my mind isnt a character but a real person, russian poet vladimir mayakovsy (love of my life one of my biggest hyperfixations there are no words for how important he is to me) i wanna see them meet so much it would b so insane they are like the opposite ends of the 'man whose whole personality is being in love' (virgin thomas vs chad mayak) and both so dramatic it would be so funny. also mayak could break thomas in half like a stick
#answers#ask games#god im so sorry for making the last question about mayak i had to refrain from typing a whole paragraph.

Ahhh, yes, I love reading your thoughts on poetry and songs! What do you think of the three translations of Lily Dear! Instead of a Letter by Mayakovsy đ (can be found here tania-soleil dot com/lilychka-vmesto-pisma-maiakovskogo-na-angliiskom/
Oh i LOVE that you gave me a poem with three separate translations! but I feel like I donât have anything intelligent to say I just keep going back and forth looking at each individual word.
Like the way that one says tobacco smoke eats the air away, one says gnawed, and one says corroded. Corroded is lacking that sense of hunger that the other two poems are bringing to the line, but I donât know if the original poem had hunger in it af all. Are we laying/paving a path with tenderness (implying the speaker has some choice in her path?) or carpeting it with tenderness (implying no control over where she chooses to go)? Or the way that some translators translated the pet name to Dear Lily, but some left it as Lilichka. Idk what Iâm saying I just love looking at it
#am reading this while watching wuthering heights and young Cathy is tearing heathcliffs heart out as I type. so this poem feels appropriate#to the mood#poetry ask game

I iddn't even think of that. You never know with the show. Mayakovsy is such a creep that it's unreal. P.S. I may have lost it because it's hard for me to rewatch anything, but didn't Mayakovsky turn into a besr & got engaged to Emily? Lol.
Married to Emily in fact ahahahah season 3 episode 2!Â

Quote
In the war, they will need someone strong, like me,-- they'll command me: get killed, cold-blooded! The last thing I utter,-- your name shall be on my shrapnel-torn lip, blood-clotted. Shall my end be a crown? Or Saint Helena? Now that the storm of life I've tackled, I'm an equal candidate for the throne of the universe and the convict's shackles.
--From "The Backbone Flute," Vladimir Mayakovsky. 1915. Trans. Andrey Kneller.
