Remus feels her lips tug into a warm smile in response and presses a quick kiss into Sirius’ palm.

And that was a mistake because then Sirius’ eyes light up and Remus immediately feels queasy. Watches as they take on that dangerous glint and that never means anything good.

Remus braces herself but, really, she should have seen it coming.

This is my favourite wolfbucks fic and might be my most reread fic. There's a certain melancholy to it, uncertainty about life and their friendship, and I adore it

TP#3: Especies de espacios/personajes. Indagar, describir, imaginar escenarios posibles.

Como venimos mencionando en entregas previas, la naturaleza tendrá un gran peso narrativamente. Será el refugio y el escape que buscan los dos personajes principales. Abarcará varios espacios como los cuerpos de agua, las orillas del río o sus zonas aledañas verdes y arboladas. En el último tiempo, estuvimos recorriendo Punta Lara e Isla Paulino, para conocer las locaciones y ver si se adaptan a lo que queremos en nuestro proyecto.  También, buscamos trabajar en espacios más cercanos con la ciudad y lo urbano, como lo son los interiores del micro y la lancha; estos medios transportan a nuestros personajes desde la ciudad hacia la naturaleza y son aquel puente narrativo que separa ambos mundos. Además, espacios como la carpa tendrán un rol importante, ya que allí dormirán, charlarán y beberán; y, a nivel producción nos es de fácil acceso porque las escenas que se desarrollan en ésta no es necesario rodarlas sí o sí en el río, sino que podemos adaptarlas a algún patio con mucho verde en ciudad de La Plata.  Espacios a trabajar: Espacio micro: Es el lugar que nos ofrece uno de los primeros acercamientos hacia los personajes. El espacio estará retratado con pequeños fragmentos, tales como las manos de Candela leyendo, la ventana por donde se ve el exterior en movimiento con colores y formas indefinidas, y por último a ambos protagonistas sentados juntos, ella leyendo y él mirando por la ventana. Es un espacio que quisiéramos que empezara a entablar ese pasaje hacia el cambio que ambos están buscando. La idea de dejar detrás algo que uno de ellos está duelando.

Espacio lancha: La lancha será el nexo que una tanto la ciudad al río como el principio y el final del relato. En términos de producción utilizaremos la lancha que va desde la escollera de Berisso hasta la Isla Paulino. Será un espacio reflexivo para los personajes, donde intercambiarán miradas y darán un comienzo y un cierre al viaje. Será aquel espacio donde los veremos adaptarse y cambiar.

Espacio Carpa: este espacio particular funcionará como un descanso, tanto para la narración como para sus personajes protagonistas. Allí ocurrirá el diálogo más extenso de todo el corto, una charla entre Lisandro y Candela muy distendida. Es un espacio acotado en extensión, donde sus cuerpos serán parte del mismo.

Espacio máquina de pochoclo: La máquina de pochoclos nos resulta interesante por los mecanismos que tiene que son visibles a través del vidrio. Lo construiremos como espacio al tomar distintos detalles de la máquina, sus movimientos, colores y texturas. Esto mismo llamará la atención del personaje. Aunque es un espacio pequeño e imposible de habitar físicamente, lo incluimos como espacio ya que se convierte en uno al ser observado por nuestro protagonista, a través del vidrio puede ver todos los componentes y procesos de producción de pochoclo. Narrativamente es funcional al relato, ya que es donde el personaje da evidencia de su estado de duelo y por momentos desconexión con lo que pasa frente suyo, ya que aunque está en una calle rodeado de sonidos se abstrae.

Espacio Plaza del camping: La pequeña placita aparecerá de noche en el corto, en el momento más onírico y experimental a nivel realizativo dentro de la obra. Allí nuestro protagonista se encontrará con una misteriosa sombra, y será empujado por una fuerza que no lo dejará avanzar a pesar de su voluntad de hacerlo. Este espacio será amplio y con pocas fuentes de luz, será trazada su longitud por el cuerpo de Lisandro que retrocede hasta caer frente a la carpa. Su función será la de alojar el momento de mayor tensión dentro del relato.

Espacio bosque: Aquí los personajes pasan bastante tiempo, paseando y perdiéndose. La naturaleza del bosque será muy importante en el relato, y nos interesa mostrarla tanto en sus detalles como en planos más generales.

Espacio playa del río: La playa que debería ser un lugar de descanso para los personajes no lo será para Lisandro, ya que se encontrará con un personaje propio del lugar, que escribe sobre la arena con un palo, que le llamará la atención y le impedirá dormir. En términos de producción todavía estamos definiendo que playa del Río de La Plata será donde se lleve a cabo esta escena.

Prueba tesis, TP1. Espacio cuerpos de agua: Los espacios construidos por el agua nos parece importante señalarlos ya que nos interesa trabajar su imagen y sonido plásticamente, jugar con sus movimientos y reflejos. Tanto a nivel realizativo como narrativamente, serán los momentos donde nos tomaremos más libertades dentro del guión estructurado, y jugaremos con lo experimental.

No but I am currently annoyed at a contingent of the Stranger Things fandom for seeming to think that killing off a certain character who wasn't canonically queer or even "coded" to be (and no, that wasn't the handkerchief code in action...) equals the 'bury your gays' trope somehow. Tumblr learn proper media analysis challenge.

I'm really bad about making up headcanons lol. I prefer to just think about my blorbos in terms of fic stories. However I do endorse happybeans's headcanon that Ryan Atwood drinks a lot of OJ because the only thing at his mom's house was alcohol or really shitty tap water.

‘Dolan ricava un film in cui il controllo della materia lascia sbalorditi – e il talento, anzitutto tecnico, di questo ex enfant prodige si nota soprattutto nella direzione degli attori (di cui lui è parte) e nell’uso compositivo delle musiche – ma non è tanto, o meglio non solo, la sua capacità epidermica di pensare e creare il cinema a renderlo un regista importante. Matthias & Maxime è tra i grandi film dell’anno perché reifica uno sguardo in grado di dialogare con l’oggi al di fuori della nostalgia eighties o della reiterata mimesi pedinante e tattile di certo cinema “del reale”; Dolan è creatura degli anni Novanta e in quanto tale – in un cinema occidentale che tende a ridurre la sua storia a simulacro privo di sostanza – genera film che seppur sbilanciati, a volte barocchi, sono figli del passaggio tra il Novecento e il Duemila e di tale fase gestazionale riflettono la dimensione genuinamente popolare. Ecco, se dobbiamo immaginare un cinema cultural pop degli anni Duemila è certamente il caso di Dolan, e Matthias & Maxime prosegue su questa strada mescolando lontani echi del dispositivo – il ruolo epifanico del cinema; il cambio di formato a sottolineare il picco emotivo; il ricorso a porte e finestre che stringono i personaggi e richiamano le gabbie visuali degli sguardi smartphone – a strategie formali storicizzate – il carrello che avanza e retrocede su Matthias, in strada tra le foglie al vento del melò; gli zoom che aggrediscono i volti e accelerano il ritmo dei dialoghi, come in certo new cinema anni Sessanta; il ruolo della musica nelle scene di gruppo, come in molto indie dei Novanta – ma tutto è sempre al servizio della storia e del sentimento, e un’estetica estremamente consapevole, eppur naturale, riesce a porsi di lato rispetto al farsi degli eventi, semplicemente accanto. Matthias & Maxime è la vita che scorre sullo schermo, quando si srotola imprevista e corre via dove non pensiamo. È la vita che accade. THE UTAH DEPARTMENT OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTROL http://www.abc.utah.gov/index.html The Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control has been in existence since 1935. The Utah State Legislature created the department by statute and charged it with the responsibility of conducting, licensing and regulating the sale of alcoholic beverages in a manner and at prices which reasonably satisfy the public demand and protect the public interest, including the rights of citizens who do not wish to be involved with alcoholic beverages. The legislature also mandated that the department be operated as a public business using sound management principles and practices. Two years earlier, the ratification of the Twenty First Amendment not only ended national prohibition, but it also gave individual states the right to choose their own system of controlling and distributing alcoholic beverages. The Utah legislature at that time believed that the state, rather than private enterprise, should control sales. The purpose of control is to make liquor available to those adults who choose to drink responsibly - but not to promote the sale of liquor. By keeping liquor out of the private marketplace, no economic incentives are created to maximize sales, open more liquor stores or sell to underage persons. Instead, all policy incentives to promote moderation and to enforce existing liquor laws is enhanced. SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH The land now known as Utah was first inhabited by the ancient Pueblo people, sometimes referred to as the Anasazi. Later, the Ute Tribe, which the state is named for, settled in the area centered around the Provo Valley. Other Native American peoples like the Shoshone, Navajo, Paiute, and Goshute also called the area home. Spanish Franciscan Missionary Silvestre Velez de Escalante explored Utah reaching as far north as Utah Valley, approximately 50 miles south of Salt Lake City. The area was first surveyed by US Army Officer John C. Fremont in 1843. Emigration Canyon, which opens onto Foothill and Downtown Salt Lake City was the main path of explorers, migrants and others into Salt Lake for many years. Salt Lake City was founded on July 24, 1847, by a group of Mormon pioneers. (Mormons are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.) In 1869, the transcontinental railroad was completed by the driving of the Golden Spike at Promontory Summit, some 80 miles northwest of Salt Lake City, Utah. Salt Lake City is the capital and most populous city of Utah, as well as the seat of Salt Lake County, the most populous county in Utah. With an estimated population of 200,567 in 2019. The city is the core of the Salt Lake City metropolitan area, which has a population of 1,222,540 (2018 estimate). Salt Lake City downtown offers restaurants, watering holes, urban adventures, art, music, and after-dusk fun. The city is set at the base of towering peaks. Residents and visitors attend open-air concerts on summer nights, farmer’s markets, art galleries, performing arts venues or a Utah Jazz NBA game. Foothill Drive is the most eastern north to south thoroughfare on the east bench of Salt Lake City. The Drive runs between the University of Utah and Interstate 80 and is populated by businesses, hotel and shopping centers. BUDGET The Downtown SLC project budget is up to $64,000. The Foothill Boulevard SLC project budget is up to $23,600. Each of these project budgets are to include all related expenses of these Public Art commissions or purchase including (but not limited to) artist fees, fabrication, framing insurance, shipping, travel, installation, documentation, etc. ELIGIBILITY This project is open to resident American and legal resident artists / artist teams residing in the immediate Western United States to include: Utah (Utah artists are strongly encouraged to apply), Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming. Art selection committee members and immediate families, board members and employees of Jacoby Architects or Utah Division of Arts and Museums are not eligible for this project. This online application process will prompt you for all necessary documents and information. Utah Arts & Museums will not be responsible for applications delayed or lost. The DABC Art Selection Committee reserves the right to withhold the award of a commission or re-release the call for entries. SELECTION PROCESS AND SCHEDULE The DABC Selection Committee will review artist’s qualifications and/or proposals from which a short list of semi-finalists will be selected. Semi-finalists will be asked to send or present a full proposal to the committee on August 12, 2021 to include budget and time-line. The finalist honorarium will be applied toward the commission amount for the artist(s) awarded the commission or purchase. Final selection(s) will be made from the semi-finalists. Xavier Dolan revient à ses premières amours, au Québec, hom(m)e sweet hom(m)e, mêlant ses thèmes de prédilection - amour impossible, rapport à la mère. Matthias et Maxime sont deux amis. Ils rejoignent leur bande de potes dans le chalet familial de l’un d’eux qu’ils devront partager avec la petite soeur de celui-ci, étudiante en cinéma. Celle-ci doit d’ailleurs tourner un court-métrage dans le cadre de ses études et recherche des volontaires parmi les amis de son frère pour remplacer ses acteurs, qui ne sont pas venus. Maxime et Matthias se retrouvent à endosser les deux rôles sans savoir de quoi il s’agit à l’avance. La scène à jouer est en fait une scène de baiser... “Matthias et Maxime” ravira sans doute les fans de la première heure du jeune réalisateur québécois. Le film est très proche de ses premières oeuvres tout en étant moins maniéré au niveau de la mise en scène, ne gardant finalement presque que l’essentiel. Dans le rôle de Matthias, personnage central du film, l’humoriste Gabriel d’Almeida Freitas est une belle révélation. Tout l’intérêt du film repose sur l’ambivalence de son personnage qui n’assume pas l’émoi causé par le baiser.
