Full Gear predictions:

Willow’s been gone for a few weeks right? Apparently it was due to a concussion she got in October. Her last match was October 25 in Mexico. I’m not sure how long the concussion wait is, but I think she’s gonna show at Full Gear to be the roadblock to Marina Shafir. Even if she’s not cleared, she could still do a safe spot that takes Marina out.

Also this is less a prediction but more of a fantasy booking : Yuta turns on the Death Riders to help Orange but Death Riders then pick up Jack Perry to their group.

I have been thinking a lot about what happened at Wrestledream. So much so, I wrote a long post about it on my main blog @justagirlandhersims. One thing that I see coming up time and time again is who will they pit Marina Shafir against in this new era under Jon Moxley's championship reign. And the answer to that, to me, seems obvious.

Willow Nightingale.

In my other post, I described Orange Cassidy as the "heart of AEW". I still stand by that but I'd like to amend it a bit. He may be the heart of it but Willow is the very soul of what makes All Elite Wrestling great. Much like OC, she was told she would never truly fit in within the world of professional wrestling. She wasn't the right size, she was too "positive", her wrestling style wasn't ladylike (yeah, she mentioned that little tidbit during a SDCC interview that I remember clearly but cannot find the clip of now). But again, like OC, she didn't give up. And she found her home in All Elite Wrestling.

She is a home grown star - worked her way up from an extra in the rogue's gallery during the pandemic shows to being in main events. She is a powerhouse unlike a good chunk of the women's division (I don’t mean that in a negative sense - just that she has the brute strength and talent that mirrors Marina’s own style). She is also very kind, spreads positivity and joy every chance she gets and represents AEW all over the world. Does that sound like somebody else on the current roster? There's a reason her and Orange Cassidy are often paired together for press and other media events. So now that AEW is "under attack", who better to take down Moxley's murder sidekick Marina than our very own murder Care Bear.

Dynamite is going to be a helluva show this week.

So this is not to comment on either side of the Marina vs Penelope/Lady Whistledown argument. That would be an extremely long and detailed rant that I might do later. I will say that both Ruby Barker and Nicola Coughlan seem wonderful and I have nothing negative to say about either of them (and wish to hear nothing negative of either)! This is simply because the antis are ramping up again and I keep coming across a certain video. There is one phrase people have been quoting and I cannot keep myself from saying this anymore. You are all incorrect because you can, in fact, "Disneyfy a Dichhead". *Murder, Kidnapping, Manipulation/Mind Control,Torture even Sexual Assault have all forgiven and sometimes, at least seemingly, forgotten. The worst villans have been given a redemption arc and considered good or even heroic by the end and it all started with a new look and Tale of True Love.

Whats truly insane is that It Worked! It worked so well that it ran for SEVEN season!

FOR FUCKS SAKE, It only ended 5 years ago. There was even a one season spinoff with a complete story!

And this was all done on ABC with Disney characters portrayed as adults. So maybe we're all being a little hard on the teenagers in Netflix's regency Shondaland.
