mmmmayhaps sheila?
ive typed this once. if this fcuks up again ill kill tumblr. this is. 1/10 of the info i have for her so. yeag 👍
so, sheilas immortal. unkillable, actually. only the lords can kill her. webby can't. they dont have any reason to kill her anymore. shes not doing any real harm, you know?
she didnt grow up in hatchetfield. she was born in 1837 (currently 184) and left for hatchetfield at 32.
sheila has four kids. two unnamed, who from 1862-1870 and 1897-1945 respectively. she had marilyn in 1950, who's 71 in canon, and sherman in 1980. hes 41.
she made her deal the day she got to hatchetfield. she was 33.
sheila genuinely doesnt have much going on right now. sherman is with frank most of the time (if not all the time) and she doesnt like animals or other townsfolk. she just sits around sending letters back and forth with her granddaughter, florence schaffer.
definitely kills for fun. she likes the thrill. she likes fair rides for this same reason.
sheila is currently not plagued with much. she gets migranes sometimes, and faints on occasion, but its nothing life altering.
she is around a level four naturally. her deal bumped her up to an eight. this chart will be explained later, but shes on-level with uncle wiley and miss holloway, above hannah foster and below lumberaxe.
this is. very little info about her in the grand scheme of it. sheila is peips main eyes into hatchetfield while theyre understaffed, and holds them to a very high respect.
my door is always open to you all, she tells them. i have rooms available now that shermans moved on.

Marilyn Schaffer Exposed: Dark Path of Investor Fraud
Marilyn Schaffer used her charismatic demeanor and knowledge of the fintech industry to attract investors. Schaffer, leveraging her knowledge of the industry and insight into market trends to create an attractive investment opportunity in the trillion-dollar hospitality, restaurant and service industry, created a compelling investment opportunity.
By attending networking events, conferences and making personal connections with potential investors, Schaffer was able to identify those who were attracted by the enormous potential of the sector. She customized her approach for each investor by conducting thorough research into their investment preferences. Schaffer created rapport with investors by demonstrating her knowledge and matching her pitch to their goals.
Schaffer used persuasive tactics to convince investors. She carefully crafted a narrative that highlighted the exponential growth of her company and its profitability. Schaffer exaggerated the company's capabilities and potential market, and played on investors' desire for high returns. Schaffer created a sense that XTM Inc. was a great investment. She shared testimonials and success stories from supposed customers to enhance her credibility.
To further enhance her reputation, she developed a network consisting of people who seemed to be successful investors. She strategically set up meetings between these people and potential investors, so that they could vouch for her integrity and the profitability and success of her business. She created the illusion of an investment opportunity by leveraging testimonials and social proof.
youtube
Schaffer deliberately avoided providing substantial documentation or paperwork to investors in order to maintain the illusion of legitimacy. She exploited their eagerness to participate and trust, operating in an environment with limited transparency. Investors were unable to conduct due diligence or verify the legitimacy of investments because of this lack of documentation. The lack of transparency Schaffer intentionally created shielded her and kept her out of scrutiny, allowing her to work in the shadows. This allowed investors to remain unaware of what was really going on at XTM Inc.
By withholding crucial information and discouraging her investors from seeking independent financial or legal advice, Schaffer controlled the narrative around her company. She controlled investors' perceptions through selectively sharing good news and deflecting questions about financial statements or auditored reports. This lack of transparency deliberately created a false trust that made it easier to exploit unknowing investors.
Schaffer redirected investor money to personal gain instead of using the funds raised for the development and growth of XTM Inc. She lived a lavish lifestyle, paid for personal expenses and diverted money to purposes that were not related to the growth of her company. Schaffer's actions showed a total disregard for the faith investors had placed in her and a callous abuse of their hard-earned funds.
Schaffer used shell companies and financial transactions to conceal the misappropriation. She used a variety of methods, such as offshore accounts and fake invoices, in order to conceal the money trail and avoid detection. She created the impression of a successful business by manipulating financial records.
The fraudulent path taken by Marilyn Schaffer is a warning to new investors. This story highlights the importance of doing thorough due diligence and demanding transparency. It also shows how to critically evaluate the credibility of the claims made by executives. Investors need to be wary of people who do not provide proper documentation, exaggerate promises, or create an urgency. Before making an investment decision, it is important to do research on the company, evaluate its technology and confirm its financial health.
The experiences of those who were scammed by Schaffer should remind us to be cautious and skeptical when we are considering investment opportunities. Transparency and verifiable proof of success are essential to earning trust. Investors need to seek independent financial and legal advice, do background checks on executives and request access to audited statements. Investors can avoid falling prey to frauds such as the one perpetrated Marilyn Schaffer by maintaining a healthy level of skepticism, and doing their research diligently.

5 Underrated Video Game Soundtracks, as selected by Jan
Pictured: Riven: The Sequel To Myst
Following Marilyn Roxie’s entry, I’ve sorted out another guest entry for this topic from my friend Jan, who also wrote the Genre Primers: Ethereal Wave post. My own list is on the way.
This list is hardly complete of course, as there are dozens of soundtracks I could mention. I'm not the kind of person who plays games so much they know which titles are underrated or not. Still, the VGM canon gets pretty limited. When you think of VGM you think Final Fantasy, Earthbound, Minecraft or Pokemon, but there’s plenty of space for titles like these, many somewhat well-known but not so much in the VGM canon.
This list includes soundtracks that should be heard closer outside of the gaming context, as they actually hold their own as a separate medium.
Ben Houge - Arcanum - Of Steamworks And Magick Obscura
youtube
Arcanum is a fascinating game that blends the steampunk of industrial revolution in a fictional world with fantasy elements. Not only you visit Victorian-like cities, but also traverse a magical Elven forest, investigate a lost civilation’s ruins, and do many quests, which are some of the finest quests in any video game in my opinion. The game is like a wet dream of a Victorian writer who was really into fantasy, but wanted to find a way to implement fantasy into the real world.
But enough of that, the music is magnificent here. The composer, Ben Houge, takes influences from romantic and modern classical composers and turns them into a modern masterpiece of string quartet music. Melancholic, at times brooding, sometimes quite epic. For those interested, Houge has a website where he lists all the inspirations for this music, in addition to providing all the sheet music. Arcanum is available on GOG.COM and Steam.
Pierre Estève & Stéphane Picq - Atlantis: The Lost Tales
youtube
Atlantis is a new agey game full of great adventure and a beautiful story, and the soundtrack reflects that. It's really a great journey altogether; if I had more space on this list, I would include the other two soundtracks. They might be not as unique as this one, but they're great as well. Recommended for every new age fan, trust me, you won't regret it. The game itself is available on GOG.COM.
Mark Morgan - Planescape: Torment
youtube
Planescape is one of the most interesting settings in roleplay gaming. The unusual feel of an ancient civilization mixed with low sci-fi was more than sufficient for the game’s deep story. The composer was working on music for Fallout and Fallout 2 before, although those are rather popular so I am not including them here.
The music for Torment is uplifting, yet brooding and soul-wrecking at times. It doesn't give you hope in a weird world per se, but gives you reason to live there. Planescape: Torment - Enhanced Edition is available on GOG.COM and Steam.
Robyn Miller - Riven: The Sequel To Myst
Playlist
Ah, Myst. The game that stormed the sales, the game that (possibly) started the whole adventure game craze. Riven is the better game, and you might guess the new age-tinged ambient soundtrack is better than the first installment's music too. It's a difficult game full of weird riddles, but I recommend it to everyone who wants an otherworldly experience. If you took out the music it probably wouldn't be the same.
Rik Schaffer - Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines
Playlist
V:tMB is a textbook example of a cult game with a Cinderella story: rushed at launch, messy and buggy in it's first few months, then almost forgotten because of the studio's downfall... Yet thanks to fan patches a devoted fanbase, Bloodlines is regarded as one of the best RPGs of all time today.
I don't think many have paid attention to the awesome music; it's an excellent mix of gothic and trip hop sounds. The original music is a great slice of dark trip hop that could put you in a good mood while going through Los Angeles, and the licensed tracks from goth artists like Ministry or Lacuna Coil are a great change of pace. Vampire: The Masquearde - Bloodlines is available on GOG.COM and Steam, but install the Unofficial Patch before playing!
Listen to Jan's music (including a great "Song To The Siren" cover!) here.

“Foodie Film Festival” Will Features Four Documentaries On Iconic Chefs: James Beard, Julia Child, Jacques Pépin And Alice Waters
American Masters has announced that Feast it Forward™ has provided major funding for a “Chefs Flight” of four documentaries on culinary legends James Beard, Julia Child, Jacques Pépin, and Alice Waters, premiering May 2017 on PBS as part of the series’ 31st season. New documentaries American Masters – James Beard: America’s First Foodie and American Masters – Jacques Pépin: The Art of Craft will be paired with encore presentations of American Masters: Julia! America’s Favorite Chef and American Masters: Alice Waters and Her Delicious Revolution, respectively.
Exploring beyond the plate, bottle and guitar, Feast it Forward Network, the new online lifestyle network featuring all things food, wine and philanthropy with a taste of music, seeks to feed the soul with entertaining, inspiring and educational programming. As their Ultimate Airstream Film Lounge continues to hit the road and engage viewers while hosting unique lifestyle events, its flagship “Live Studio Showroom” will open in downtown Napa Spring of 2017. A two story experiential estate, it will feature a 16 premier vintner tasting collective, a full demonstration studio kitchen, educational outdoor entertaining space, performing music stage, interior design showroom and much more. Beyond the growing online network programming which features master chefs, actors, tastemakers, and musicians, this live studio will truly bring Feast it Forward Network to life as viewers will be able to personally experience all things food, wine and philanthropy…with a taste of music. (More information can be found at feastitforward.com)
“We are thrilled to be able to bring the savory stories behind these culinary geniuses to viewers thanks to Feast It Forward’s generous support. Collectively, they set America’s dinner table, and I think people will enjoy seeing the connections between each of these chefs and how we eat today,” said Michael Kantor, executive producer of American Masters.
“We are elated to be supporting such important programs. The food world is beyond grateful for these iconic chefs and we are indebted to them for the path they helped pave for us to walk. Our online network tells the story of people, places and experiences that connect us to one another in ways that are beyond the plate and bottle, so it was a natural fit to be part of this impressive series. Along with celebrating the work of James Beard, Julia Child, and Alice Waters, it’s a true honor to say we took part in sharing Jacques Pépin’s story. I think it is safe to say I speak for masses who grew up watching him with such admiration; this is our way of saying thank you. It’s time to give something back for all those years he shared with us,” said Katie Hamilton Shaffer, founder and president of Feast it Forward.

American Masters – James Beard: America’s First Foodie
Premieres Friday, May 19, 9-10 p.m. on PBS (check local listings)
Experience a century of food through the life of one man, James Beard (1903-1985). Dubbed the “Dean of American Cookery” by The New York Times, Beard was a Portland, Ore., native who loved and celebrated the bounty of the Pacific Northwest. He spoke of the importance of localism and sustainability long before those terms had entered the vernacular. At a time of “all things French,” Beard appreciated what America had to bring to the table, and was the first chef to go on television to teach not only women, but men, how to cook. A cookbook author, journalist, television celebrity and teacher, Beard helped to pioneer and expand the food media industry into the billion-dollar business it is today. Written and Directed by Elizabeth Federici. Produced by Elizabeth Federici and Kathleen Squires. A production of Federici Films LLC and THIRTEEN PRODUCTIONS LLC’s American Masters for WNET.

American Masters: Julia! America’s Favorite Chef
Friday, May 19, 10-11 p.m. on PBS (check local listings)
Celebrate the life and legacy of Julia Child (1912-2004), fondly remembered for introducing French cuisine to American home cooks through her television series – beginning with WGBH’s The French Chef in 1963 – and books. The film tells two love stories: one between Julia and Paul Child, the other between Julia and French food. Originally broadcast in August 2004, the film features previously unseen photos, including several from Paul Child’s personal archive, granted exclusively to the film’s producers. Child was a pioneer in public television’s long tradition of cooking programs, revolutionizing the way America cooks, eats and thinks about food. Directed by Marilyn Mellowes. A WGBH production.

American Masters – Jacques Pépin: The Art of Craft
Premieres Friday, May 26, 9-10 p.m. on PBS (check local listings)
Discover the story of Chef Jacques Pépin (b. December 18, 1935), a young immigrant with movie-star looks, a charming Gallic accent, and a mastery of cooking and teaching so breathtaking he became an early food icon—joining James Beard and Julia Child among the handful of Americans who transformed the way the country views the food world. Not content cooking in French palaces, where he was the personal chef to three French presidents including Charles de Gaulle, Pépin’s American journey took him through the kitchens of Howard Johnson’s, bringing his commitment to great taste, craftsmanship and technique to American popular food. With his landmark cookbooks and television shows, he ushered in a new era in American food culture – a story that continues to unfold. Produced and directed by Peter L. Stein. Executive producer Michael Isip. Co-executive producer Susie Heller. A KQED Production in association with THIRTEEN’s American Masters for WNET.

American Masters: Alice Waters and Her Delicious Revolution
Friday, May 26, 10-11 p.m. on PBS (check local listings)
Follow Alice Waters (b. April 28, 1944) through a year of seasonal shopping and cooking, and discover both the recipes and vision of an artist and an advocate. She and her now-famous restaurant Chez Panisse became a major force behind the way Americans eat and think about food, launching the explosion of local farmers’ markets and redesigned supermarket produce departments. Waters planted an organic garden at the local inner-city middle school, at a state prison and at the Clinton White House. She is an activist with a flawless palette who has taken her gift for food and turned it into consciousness about the environment and nutrition, and a device for social change. Originally broadcast March 2003. Directed by Doug Hamilton. A production of THIRTEEN PRODUCTIONS LLC’s American Masters for WNET.
