List of dimensional variants/counterparts of Enid and Wednesday introduced in my fanfiction Kooky Spooky in order of appearance.

This means that other characters that are counterparts such as Taylor Galpin, the Yoko and Weems from Agent A's dimension and the rest of the Adamos (High Fantasy Addams Family) are not on this list. Only Enids and Weds.

First, those with some weight in the plot:

Eamon Sinclair (Chapter 1): Initially named in Chapter 1, with no formal appearance until Chapter 43. Eamon is a male counterpart of Enid and husband of Friday (the Wednesday from the 1973 cartoon). Basically, he is "our" Enid if she had been born male. Standard lycanthrope, though exceptionally strong.

Thursday (Chapter 9): Wednesday Thursday Addams. As Eamon, a male counterpart to Wednesday and Friday's cell neighbor. He looks identical to a teenage Gomez but with no mustache and with Fester's pallor.

Enid Saint-Clair (Chapter 19): The Enid of Woe's dimension (the Wednesday of the '90s movies). Brunette, of Greek descent and werecat rather than werewolf. Affable and nice, though with psychopathic tendencies and a love for exacerbated violence. Loves to fight people who can keep up with her. To call her "kitten" is to invite death. Better just call her “Nid”.

Agent A (Chapter 22): Wednesday Tuesday Addams. The Wednesday from a dimension gone to hell (literally). She's a grown woman in her forties, dresses like she's a MIB and is a practitioner of magic. She's also one of the few Wednesdays who doesn't make use of her pigtails or pull her hair back in any way, leaving her hair loose. If you want to put a face on her, I imagine her as Hailee Steinfeld about 16 years from now.

Wodnesdæg (Chapter 35): Lord Wodnesdæg of the House of Adamo, Prince of the Kingdom of Nova Gersia. Wod to his closest family and friends. Trans male version of Wednesday. He collects his hair in two short but thick pigtails. Likes to wear black armor that makes him look like the stereotypical Dark Lord from a fantasy novel, but first impressions aside his personality is closer to that of a Gomez Addams.

Eneit Synklar (Chapter 35): Enid's variant from Wodnesdæg's dimension and his betrothed. A barbarian and werewolf princess Enid, extremely tall and muscular, usually dressed in furs or light leather armor. Very outgoing, affable and friendly, though she lacks a bit of tact and has no qualms about breaking in half anyone who messes with her loved ones.

Chapter 43:

A golden tyrannosaurus Enid and her ape-like sidekick Wednesday, inspired by the original comic book versions of Devil Dinosaur and Moon Boy.

A middle-aged futuristic soldier Enid.

A Wednesday who looks like a living marble statue with golden cracks adorning her skin and luminous white hair.

A Wednesday and Enid who look like stereotypical pirates.

Gargoyle Enid. A purple-skinned Enid with horns, tail and wings, inspired by the characters from the Disney series Gargoyles.

Chapter 45:

Cyborg-lycanthrope Enid.

Vampire Wednesday, armed with a spear.

Reverse Enid and Wednesday: A violent lycanthropic but black-furred Enid accompanied by a disturbingly extroverted blonde Wednesday.

The younglings: A group of five or six young Wednesdays, the oldest no older than seven.

Saiyan Enid: A brunette-haired martial artist Enid with ki abilities, orange robes, staff and monkey tail. Inspired by Dragon Ball, although it can be interpreted as a reference to Journey to the West as well.

Gunslinger Enid and Wednesday, as if out of a classic Hollywood Western.

Sasquatch Enid.

The witches: Two Enids, one of them in school uniform and wand-wielding, clearly inspired by the Potterverse novels/films or other similar works. The second Enid, with green skin and black clothes, pointy hat and broom is more inspired by The Wizard of Oz and Wicked.

Punk-looking Enid with cybernetic implants like blades in her arms. Inspired by Cyberpunk 2077.

Angelic Enid, alternates between a humanoid form with wings and a fire-wheel form with multiple eyes.

Hellboy Wednesday (Hellgirl?).

4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Yes! It takes me a couple of days 'cause I'm freaking out in excitement and therefore can't put together a coherent response that doesn't sound idiotic. I used to get so nervous about saying the right thing I sometimes wouldnt when I started writing but I soooo appreciate comments I try to respond.

5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

Confessions But I'm a happy ending kinda lady usually 😉

Maybe some Weed Dreams chapters floating in my head

Ummm unclear. Some days I feel like I am great at dialogue. Some days I'm awful. I'd like to think I can convey emotion?

A lot of them. Explaining environments and what people are wearing without losing the story flow. (So much respect for writers like @ian-galagher can write that so well, it's very impressive!)

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

It's very cool. If you can make it work in a way that flows. If I spoke another language I'd definitely give it a shot.

3. What fandoms do you write for? I have 31 tagged fandoms though one story (Don't Cross the Streams) has 6 fandoms in one drabble of which 4 I haven't posted anything else yet for those fandoms. Most are for Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters, Marvel (MCU and comic), Doctor Who/Torchwood, House MD, and Samurai 7.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos? The Kiss (House MD) 199, A Question of Memory (YGO) 138, The Waiting Game (YGO) 125, The Coffee God (Torchwood/MIB) 100, Exit...Stage Right? (MCU) 98.

5. Do you respond to comments? I've been bad about that but trying to get back to that this year- if I notice the notification email.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Don't really do angsty endings- guess the closest would be "Returning Hero" (Marvel 616) or "Remembrance Day" (Samurai 7) I guess.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Um, guess I'll go with "Someone, Somewhere" (YGO) since that's an alternate ending fic where Atem doesn't pass into the afterlife.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Yeah though it's pretty basic; I've tried to write PWPs (plot what plot) and end up with plot with smut.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? Yep. Probably "Don't Cross the Streams".

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Not directly- have used RP related material ("A Stitch in Time" (Marvel)) with permission and needed help with a few scenes from the creator of the character I was borrowing.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I haven't given up on any unfinished fics that have been posted.

16. What are your writing strengths? Mixing fandoms I suppose.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? Using all 5 senses in my writing- at least that's what I want to work on.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I have done it- once fic has a bit of Gaelic but I was trying to learn it and just indulged on that one- I'll be rewriting that scene to eliminate that when I get back to it.

It's a hard balance to use it in dialogue but sometimes your viewpoint character will hear something they don't understand, and you can either point out it's something in another language or put a phrase in the language that your POV character doesn't know. I do drop words in for Mikel Fury since it's one way to show that though Mikel is Nick Fury's son, he is not American. It's usually only a word or two since I'm using the Dalmatic language (Marvel has Carpasia- the country Mikel's mother was from- set in the Dalmatia region of Croatia) that has been extinct since 1898 and can't find much in English on how the language worked.

19. First fandom you wrote for? ever? I guess technically Ranger Rick though I think it was for a contest. Star Wars would be the official start of my fanfic writing in '77- quickly followed by Battlestar Galactica ('78) and Doctor Who ('79).

20. Favourite fic you’ve written? I have a soft spot for "A Question of Memory" since that was the first fic that I felt I actually understood what I was doing and had a proper beginning, middle, and end there.

So MIAB was the first song she and Max Martin wrote together and it was in 2012. That's interesting. Also the songs she chose for the Max Martin medley are interesting too. "Standing here hoping it gets to you" "That's how you get the girl" "please leave me stranded, it's so romantic"

I love that she chose these max songs to celebrate him in Sweden.

Taylor said 'I was in a studio with them writing a completely different song" said it was a friend of her Ex that she hadn't met before. The song they started and didn't finish could have been Message in a Bottle (because it is also with Max) (Taylor said MIAB was first 19 May 2024) but they wrote WANGBT instead, so they were kind of the same time, but WANGBT was finished first.

This post of her in a kitchen is dragged in, but that was the day before not with Max... I think that was about Babe given the timing with H's NZ kiss the day before MIB doesn't make sense. It would also make sense why MIB wasn't finished that day.

Max said WANGBT was first: (52:30 Mins) "Our first day was in Conway Studios. I was quite nervous, quite nervous. A guy from Maroon 5 shows up…" He tells the story about WANGBT.

It's well known Jake is friends with the lead of Maroon 5, and Max said 'guy from Maroon 5', and she wears Jake glasses in the MV. But did she and Jake ever get back together? And it was more than a year since Jake and Taylor broke up and Jake was dating other people.

The thing is Savan Kotecha wrote What Makes You Beautiful, he is Max's protege and wrote a lot in One Directions first records, he is still close to Harry and knew the whole Haylor story. Years after being publicly cut from 1D he was still praising Harry’s songwriting in a (contentious) interview (45 mins). So I will always side-eye WANGBT.

Amazon EC2 X8g: Graviton-4 Memory-Optimized AWS Instances

The most affordable price per gigabyte of memory among Graviton4-based EC2 instances is offered by Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) X8g instances, which are driven by the most recent AWS Graviton4 processors. In addition, X8g instances provide up to 60% faster performance than X2gd instances and up to 3TiB of memory. They also offer larger instance sizes with up to three times more memory and vCPUs.

Customers can run memory-intensive workloads like in-memory databases (Redis, Memcached), relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), electronic design automation (EDA) workloads, real-time big data analytics, and real-time caching servers with X8g instances’ increased performance and extra memory. To further optimize their computational infrastructure, X8g instances allow several memory-intensive containerized apps to run on a single instance. With up to 3 TiB of DDR5 memory and up to 192 vCPUs, Graviton-4-powered, memory-optimized X8g instances are now offered in 10 virtual sizes and two bare metal sizes.

With the finest price-performance and scale-up capability of any comparable EC2 Graviton instance to date, this instance is its most energy-efficient to date. These instances are optimized for Electronic Design Automation, in-memory databases & caches, relational databases, real-time analytics, and memory-constrained microservices, and have a memory to virtual CPU ratio of 16 to 1. The instances include with extra AWS Nitro System and Graviton4 security capabilities, and they completely encrypt all high-speed physical hardware interfaces.

This new instances are an even better host for these applications because they come in twelve sizes, giving you the option to scale up (using a larger instance) or scale out (using multiple instances). They also give you more flexibility for memory-bound workloads that are currently running on different instances.

The X8g instances vs X2gd instances

It offer three times as much memory, three times as many virtual CPUs, more than twice as much EBS capacity (40 Gbps vs. 19 Gbps), and twice as much network bandwidth (50 Gbps vs. 25 Gbps) as the previous generation (X2gd) instances.

With 160% more memory bandwidth and twice as much L2 cache per core as the Graviton2 processors in the X2gd instances (2 MiB vs. 1 MiB), the Graviton4 processors within the X8g instances can achieve up to 60% better compute performance.

ENA, ENA Express, and EFA Enhanced Networking are supported by the instances. The following table shows that they support all EBS volume types, including io2 Block Express, EBS General Purpose SSD, and EBS Provisioned IOPS SSD, and that they offer a sizable amount of EBS bandwidth.

Now let’s examine a few use cases and apps that can utilize up to 3 TiB per instance and 16 GiB of RAM per vCPU:

Databases: SAP HANA and SAP Data Analytics Cloud can now manage heavier and more ambitious workloads thanks to X8g instances. When compared to the same workloads operating on Graviton3 instances, SAP has measured up to 25% greater performance for analytical workloads and up to 40% better performance for transactional workloads when running on Graviton4 powered instances. SAP may now use Graviton-based utilization to even larger memory-bound solutions.

Workloads related to Electronic Design Automation (EDA) are essential to the process of developing, testing, confirming, and implementing new chip generations, such as Inferentia, Trainium, Graviton, and those that serve as the foundation for the Nitro System.

In order to take advantage of scalability and elasticity and provide the right amount of compute power for every stage of the design process, AWS and numerous other chip makers have selected the AWS Cloud for these workloads. Because they are not waiting for outcomes, engineers are able to develop more quickly as a result. This is a long-term image from one of the clusters utilized in late 2022 and early 2023 to support Graviton4 development. As you can see, this cluster operates at a very high scale, reaching peaks up to five times the typical usage.

Periodic spikes in daily and weekly activity are evident, followed by an increase in overall usage throughout the tape-out phase. Since the cluster’s instances are on the larger end of the size range, the peaks signify several hundred thousand cores that are operating simultaneously. Without having to make a specific hardware investment, it may achieve unparalleled scalability because to this capacity to spin up compute when needed and down when not.

With the support of the new X8g instances, AWS and its EDA clients will be able to execute even more workloads on Graviton processors, which will save costs and energy consumption while also accelerating the release of new products.

Makina İmalatçıları Birliği’nin (MİB), 14-19 Mayıs 2024 tarihleri arasında Tataristan Cumhuriyeti’nin başkenti Kazan’da düzenlenen Rusya – İslam Dünyası Uluslararası Kazan Forumu’na katıldı. MİB temsilcileri, forum kapsamında Rusya Federasyonu ve Tataristan’daki makine sektörüyle ilgili iş birliği olanakları konusunda önemli görüşmelere imza attı.

TATARİSTAN  (İGFA) – 1990 yılından beri tüm makine sektöründe yerli makine üreticilerinin çıkarlarını gözetmek ve yerli makine üretimini desteklemek amacıyla faaliyetlerini sürdüren Makina İmalatçıları Birliği (MİB), ülkemizi başarıyla temsil etmeye devam ediyor.

MİB, 14-19 Mayıs 2024 tarihleri arasında Tataristan Cumhuriyeti’nin başkenti Kazan’da düzenlenen Rusya – İslam Dünyası Uluslararası Kazan Forumu’na katıldı.

Düzenlenen organizasyona; MİB Genel Sekreteri Zülfikar Kılıç’ın yanı sıra İğrek Makina Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Orhan İğrek, E-Mak RF Direktörü Ali Dirikol katıldı.

Forum kapsamında MİB, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Moskova Büyükelçisi Tanju Bilgiç, Kazan Başkonsolosu Uğur Yılmaz ve Kazan Ticaret Ateşesi Murat Sözbir ile toplantı gerçekleştirdi.

Bu toplantılarda MİB temsilcileri, Rusya Federasyonu ve Tataristan’daki makine sektörüyle ilgili iş birliği olanakları konusunda çeşitli görüş alışverişinde bulunurken, Büyükelçi Bilgiç’i de MİB hakkında bilgilendirdi.

Gerçekleşen forumun, MİB adına son derece verimli geçtiğini kaydeden MİB Genel Sekreteri Zülfikar Kılıç, Türk makina sektörünü global ölçekte en iyi şekilde temsil etmek için çalışmalarını sürdürdüklerini ifade etti. Türkiye ile Tataristan ve Rusya arasındaki ticari ve iktisadi ilişkilerin geliştirilmesi noktasında bu buluşmaların son derece önemli kazanımlar sağladığını ifade eden Kılıç, forumun düzenlenmesinde emeği geçenlere teşekkür etti.

PCI condemns move to block select YouTube channels 

The Press Club of India (PCI) has condemned the Union information and broadcasting ministry’s alleged direction to YouTube to block the channels of two independent Hindi news outlets. 

According to media reports, in emails sent to the owners of these channels, YouTube said it got blocking requests from the ministry, invoking Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and Rule 15(2) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. 

The two Hindi news outlets directed to be blocked by MIB are 'Bolta Hindustan' and  'National Dastak', which have over 3 lakh subscribers and 94.2 lakh subscribers, respectively. Another channel, Article 19 India, has also got a notice, reports said. 

“The government wants to shut down National Dastak,” Scroll quoted 'National Dastak' as saying in a post on X. “YouTube sent a notice on April 3. Article 19 [another YouTube channel] has also received a notice. All this is happening while the model code of conduct is in effect.”

On 4 April, journalist Naveen Kumar, who runs the Article 19 YouTube channel, said that Facebook restricted the channel’s page.

The Press Club of India and Press Association said they feel concerned over this “extreme action of the government as it amounts to censorship on media and an attack on the freedom of the press,  especially when the 2024 Lok Sabha elections are just a few days away.” 

“The ministry headed by Anurag Singh Thakur must disclose the reason behind such draconian orders of blocking YouTube channels. We demand the immediate lifting of this blockade. We endorse and support the stand taken by the Editors Guild of India and Digipub on this issue,” Gautam Lahiri, president, Press Club of India, said in a statement.

富岳是全球首度奪冠的ARM架構超級電腦，採用富士通48核心A64FX SoC，與過往超級電腦大多採用的Intel或AMD的x86、x64主流平台不同。富岳共有158,976個節點，尖峰性能可達到1 exaFLOPS（1,000 petaFLOPS）。富岳除了在Linpack中拿到好成績，也在HPL-AI中獲得1.421 exaFLOPS。

2020年6月23日，富岳正式獲認證，以415 PFLOPS計算速度成為TOP500排名第一的超級電腦[5]。之後同年11月17日發表的TOP 500排行榜成功蟬聯第一[6]。

so the dog DOES bite back. and it’s funny because the master seems to kind of like the dog, even though he keeps leading the dog on and occasionally trying to kill the dog. so the master acts super betrayed whenever the dog bites back. he might even actually feel a little hurt. he knows he has the upper hand, though—he always has a plan etc

so if the dog bit back the master would be like . I’m hurt, John, I really am :/ while also knowing the dog can’t do shit and will come crawling back to him

UNTIL! the master kills the dog. and then. the dog comes back to life. and the dog acts different. more self-assured. like. the dog knows how to get its own fucking food now. and more than that. it knows how to feed the master

and then the dog starts telling the master that maybe he should bite his own master, as in, the master’s master. and the master is like. Nooo haha that’s so crazy. Unless….. and then he does. and then the dog says Actually I’m not your dog. I’m the Satan allegory

so the master loses his faith and goes through a whole redemption arc (sort of). it’s a whole thing. he does go back to the dog though because what else is he supposed to do? lol. and then he sort of does bite back once he realizes the-dog-not-the-dog doesn’t give a shit about him. which leads to this cool bit from the finale script.
