Good morning. It is October 24, and today's image features an amazing shot of the Moon over a sanctuary in Sicily. It was captured by Dario Giannobile, a talented Italian astrophotographer.

This is a brilliant shot of the Moon, with the light from Earth shining on about 75 percent of the lunar surface and the remainder brightly lit by the Sun. The Moon is seen above the Santuario della Madonna Nera (Sanctuary of the Black Madonna) in Tindari, a small town on the northern coast of Sicily.

So, my friend once told me, that post my photos in Tumblr could be a good idea, so here I am. I think my photos are not that bad and I want to build up my skills in it. There is one of my favourites photos - my first picture of moon took with my telescope.

I came across this fascinating photo on the internet and had to share with you. 🌕

These breathtaking images of the Moon were captured by Kurdish astrophotographer Darya Kawa Mirza. Known as some of the sharpest and clearest Moon photos even taken, Mirza used an advanced technique, stacking 81,000 individual photos to create a high-resolution 159.7 megapixel image. This impressive process took four days of continuous observation!

The images showcase incredible surface details, including geological featurs highlighted with enhanced colors to reveal the Moon's mineral content. What's even more amazing is that these were created without the use of artificial intelligence, giving us one of the most vivid representations of the Moon's topography.

International Space Station slipping across the Moon's face as it flies by at 8 kilometers per second, gently kissing Tycho crater. That crater is 53 miles wide, so while the station almost looks like it's orbiting the moon, it's actually 1000x closer to Earth.
