Rambles on my lack of gacha game knowledge (mainly hsr)

+genuine questions

How do ppl make their teams in games like hsr and genshin and wuthering waves, etc.... and even other games outside that genre that include character teams for battle.... like, does not everyone make sure everyone's different? Like, I try not to get 2 or more characters of the same element type on a team cus what if I wanna strike a weakness, but I filled in that elements place with a double.,... does not everyone think like that..?

How should I build a team is a better question. Since in reality I'm not that far into hsr. I still have March 7th, and Dan heng on my team cus March 7th has defense and is not annoying UNLIKE HERTA. Dan heng is there cus his attacks are strong despite not weakness breaking most of the time. Obviously, my glorious King Argenti is on my team, but he replaces caelus cus he's a physical. (Unfortunately, I'm grinding missions to get character exp for caelus because i can't move on in the story without him at level 40).

Idk what kind of mindset should I have when pulling for characters or building a team? Want or need? I just want Dr. Ratio because I don't have bless characters (is that the element..? I forgot) and I like Dr ratio. But I also like characters like Robin, but then again, she's a physical, and doubles are odd to me... I looked through all the 5 stars one day to see what characters I might want that will create a diverse team.

I think I know too little about gacha games. They are very confusing and have too many mechanics. Hsr was slightly easier to understand. I know people main 4 stars sometimes, I like a few 4-star characters like Sampo and Dan Heng

One last question: How do I know what abilities a character has? I hate to say it, but I'm trying to move on from March 7th, I need to spread my wings!!!! She's been a must-have though out because her defense comes in handy. Otherwise, I would be (regretfully) using Herta (she's the only other ice type). Having defense or a support or a healing character is extremely helpful, especially since you can't really use consumables in battle. I wanna know which ones do that.

Playing gacha games makes me feel like an illiterate fool because everyone understands but I'm just winging it. I'm barely understanding how to have good strong characters. As well as other things like where to get certain material and many opportunities within the game.

Any tips of assistance are appreciated, or just giggle at my rambles. I think I'm a little ridiculous, too 😭😭

Honest answer? A couple days ago. I've been struggling lately, but we keep marching on 🫡

No, I don't have any kids! But I'd love to have them one day 😊

I've played soccer, baseball and basketball! I know my way around balls, alright! (no diddy 🤣)

Occasionally, I wouldn't say I'm lost in the sarcasm-sauce though!

6. What is the first thing you notice about people?

Probably the way they carry themselves, if that makes sense? Whether they seem confident or whether they don't, stuff like that. I think that's the first thing I notice.

7. What's your eye color?

I've got blue eyes, but not from the spice! ✨️🪱 (if you get the reference, you're my type of person 😉)

8. Scary movies or happy endings?

Oh lord... that's such a hard one!! I love horror movies... I even go as far as to watch them all alone in complete darkness 🤣😎 but if someone put a gun to my head I'd probably pick happy endings! (and not just cuz i'd want it to end happily for me!! 🤪)

9. Any talents?

Hmmm... I'm naturally good with money, is that a talent? 😂 my aunt always says "you have both Dutch and Chinese blood. You were destined to be good with money!" However, not everyone in the family seems to have that talent lmao! I feel like I'm also a pretty good cook, among other things, and I have a pretty dang good memory (which can be both a blessing and a curse tbh haha)

I love reading, writing, playing video games, hanging out with friends, being in nature and stargazing! 🌟

Hmmm, it's been a while, but I really loved biology! Wanted to become a biologist for a little while. Unfortunately, I dropped out of chemistry (because I SUCKED at it) but that was before I found out I needed it to study biology in college 😅😂

15. Dream job?

I want to be involved in a lot of different things. I love growing food, writing, tech, nature, art, and the list keeps going tbh!! My dream job would be to be involved in many different things! I hope to make enough money to be able to do so one day 😌

Watching Aladdin right now, and now I'm thinking about a new au. Imagine Reader likes collecting shiny things. Doesn't matter what, vases, pins, shards. If it's shiny and looks cool, they'll take it.

So one day while looking for things to add to their collection, they stumble upon two cool and shiny lamps. Sure it's dirty and a little faded, but a little cleaning will have them looking brand new! So they put the lamps in their bag and continue searching the rest of the area.

Once Reader is home, they get to work to clean the lamps, and of course, in order to clean the lamps, they have to rub them with the rags, ultimately unleashing the genies inside.

So both Sun and Moon come out thinking it would be just them with a master. But then they see each other and are like-

And they think Reader did this to get more wishes, which obviously isn't true, but they don't know that. So they start questioning Reader and their intentions, thinking that if they got both to get more wishes, they probably wouldn't have the best plans.

And poor Reader is in so much confusion. They just saw two cool-looking lamps and wanted to clean them and keep them, but now they have genies firing questions at them at the speed of light while they are still trying to process the fact that genies exist and now they have genies.

Once Reader tells them they just thought the lamps looked cool and didn't know they had genies inside, Sun and Moon are very skeptical and they (mostly Moon probably) make it very clear they dont trust that story.

But now that Reader has rubbed the vases and got the genies, they can't leave until they get their three wishes (from each genie). Now Sun and Moon are stuck with the most indecisive person they've ever seen, it takes WEEKS for Reader to make their first wish because they are so indecisive.

But as time goes on, they grow closer. They start getting along and taking care of each other (and by this I mean Moon is forcing Reader to be asleep by 9 and Sun is on their back about having 3 meals a day).

So what happens when it's time for Reader to make their last wish? Will they set them free and live a happy life? Or will they say their goodbyes and make the last wish something else? Will Sun and Moon tell the Reader of their feelings for them? Or will they forever live with the fact that they couldn't bring themselves to say "I love you" when they had the chance?

So I was on AO3 and I have a question to the Eminem fandom:

HOW COME THERE IS ONLY 3 EMINEM/CHRISTINA AGUILERA FICS??

Like I'm sorry but this is something I thought the people on AO3 would eat up (I've seen and read way worse) and how come one of those fics is an unfinished thing that's on English and 5he other two are on Chinese. Reincarnation and souls right?

You die and get reborn as something else. But now I have questions.

If every living being has a soul or the essence of someone reborn, how many souls are there? Is there a set amount? Do new souls get made of there are too many beings? What if there isn’t enough beings? Do souls then have to wait for their turn? Or is there a set number of souls and a set number of beings that are always equal? OR is there a set number of souls and some beings don’t have a soul to start off with and might never have a soul? If that’s the case how does one know if they have a soul? How does one tell if someone else not have a soul? Are there examples of people with no soul? Are those the people who have done terrible deeds and a society has decided are soulless? Also who is to say we are reborn on earth? What if you get reborn on a whole other planet? Or even a whole different galaxy or universe? Why is it we think that we get reborn as earth things and not life on other planets? What if there is a set number of souls and when there’s a sudden boom in a population that’s because in a distance galaxy there was an extinction event and those souls need to go somewhere? What made the souls, were they always here? Are souls the essence of the universe? Did the universe feel something and that made the souls? Have souls been here since before the beginning of time? Did souls make the universe cause they wanted to explore something? I mean we create things to entertain ourselves, why couldn’t a soul do the same? What is the possibility that we were an alien species or even our own ancestors? What happens when there are no beings left? Do the souls come together and do it all over again? Recreating the universe? Do they keep their memories? Is that why we get deja vu? Cause it already happened in a past universe? Is that why dreams are so weird and sometimes don’t make sense? Cause their memories of past lives span infinity and in a human brain that’s a bit too complicated to understand? Is there multiple souls? Or is it one soul that splits and fuse together in order to match the amount of beings in the universe? Are we all sharing a tiny piece of a giant soul that is split up? Will we fuse at the end of the universe? Share our many lives with ourself? Are we the universe?

Yes! I mean, a lot of people - I am old, and there are people on here that have now known me for eight or nine years at this point. But, I have a very good, dear friend of mind whose parents were friends with mine, and our moms were pregnant together - so I've known her, really, since birth.

A really boring one to a coworker asking her to put up the store's social media post.
