1. Logan/Quinn from Zoey 101. The OG teenbop enemies to lovers omg I stan. When they pronounced their love for each other at the season finale at the prom, screaming crying throwing up. The way they get together is so random lmao he calls her hot and they kiss then Michael rides by on a horse like what? But the pay off and ending was so *chefs kiss*

2. Courtney/Duncan from TDI. They were everything to me and Cartoon Network ruined it. First season the bantering, the flirting. When I tell you I was hooked. The scream I scrumpt when they finally kissed (also me didn’t she just throw up but whatever I guess) then she left and it was all downhill from there.

3. Rose/Jake from ADJL. The Romeo and Juliet of this paring needs to be studied. They were so down bad for each other. When Jake found out she was huntsgirl then when she found out. Their first kiss being right before she had to ‘kill’ him for sport in an arena. Her giving up her life to keep him and his family safe, him giving up her to keep her safe. 😭😭😭 they don’t make em like they used too

4. Draco/Harry from HP. The ship that started it all. Before this I’d never read a slash fic before is it even still called that. Anyways this right here is my longest going ship I’m still into only reason it’s not higher is that I love the other ones more. You get so many variations of this, from the super toxic fic, to the I’ve always secretly loved you, to the meet up after the war is over and so on and so forth. Ugh I love it. There’s like 50,000 fics of them on a03 and I know I’ve read like half at least 🤣

5. Zuko/Katara from Avatar. My second non canon ship on here. When I tell you I was obsessed with them. Sigh then I discovered other fandoms and by the time I came back to them I was just done. Which I think comes fromm just not being as much of a Zuko fan anymore. This ship was gold, tho, I mean come on I’ll save you from the pirates how can I not. The way he jumped in front of her (obviously he’d do the same for everyone but like listen it ate down bad) the whole crystal caverns episode was fuel to the fire, the writers/creators knew what they were doing

6. Jake/Miley from Hannah Montana. Another OG omg she hated him so much. The flirty the snark then they had to kiss and both of em were like oh hot damn. They were so cute together and I will forever hate Disney for making her choose Jake just for him to cheat on her like what was the reason. What was the reason 😭😭

7. Alejandro/Heather from TDI. Woo child buckle up. This is one of those slowburns cause it’s not until like a quarter in to the season you’re like hold up. Are they going where I think they’re going and then they did. I don’t like the ending cause seriously wtf was the point. But the lead up and bruh the stuck in a hole song I still sing that on a daily. They were literally made for each other.

8. Chad/Sonny from Sonny with a Chance: one thing about Disney they ate down when it comes to enemies to lovers, or annoyance to like, whatever you wanna call it. Chad Dylan Cooper and Sonny omg the drama was beautiful, they hated each other so much and when they started dating I bout passed out. Lol they were so hilarious together I miss it.

9. Raven/Beastboy from TT. This and next two aren’t super enemies to lovers, more live annoyances or belligerent sexual tension. But I really was obsessed with this, like I was the girl reading Terra bashing fics 😭😭 they were so cute, the Beast Within was ship gold, Nevermore, the fact that she holds onto to the penny he gives her when she ‘dies’ and oh he only turns into the Beast again to protect her from Slade and never again. Beautiful

10. Jimmy/Cindy from JN. They may have only been nine but sheesh the rivalry to lovers or in this case crushes was intense. Cindy was down bad since day one but she hid that shit so well. The Valentine’s Day episode still makes me giggle like a kid. And the last episode where they’re legit just straight up flirting with each other I can not. When she almost confesses when he’s the orange hulk. So cute.

(I learned later that the other two guys were also freaking out at this time but trying not to show it. lmao) When I closed my eyes I was seeing like a hyperrealistic hyperbolic burger bulging towards me and folding back in on itself. At a certain point though I looked at my partner's eyes glowing in the light coming through a dingy window and realized how gorgeous he would look in a brown suit. I told him this repeatedly and I stan by it. He needs  a brown suit. He would totally rock a brown suit.

I feel like people get really defensive about how Shiv treats Tom and it’s like…. Why? I don’t get it 😭

I mean REAL SHIT it's because a lot of people out there on the internet dislike Shiv an hilariously overblown amount and this is largely rooted in misogyny so people want to dig their heels in and love her as hard as possible.

And...I'm a villain stan I absolutely get that. Kylo Ren did absolutely nothing wrong ever, actually. Having to listen to people recycle the same stupid and bad takes (eg. Shiv doesn't show emotion and this makes her the Worst Person In Succession <-- actual real take a worryingly high number of true blue Shiv haters hold) makes you jump straight for the most generous interpretation you can find of your fav characters flaws.

Which is actually totally fine? Fandom is a better place when there's someone to woobify every character (Where are the Logan woobifiers? Where? Pspspspsps c'mere I want to study you). But it's...more than a little bit irritating watching people try to discuss how a specific character is actually handled in the show getting shut down by people who have come to conclusions that the OP doesn't see in the text. Which, again, goes for any character. Shiv is not alone in receiving extremely uncharitable and impossibly generous interpretations from fandom.

But specifically about Shiv and Tom's dynamic - I do feel a particular kind of way when people point out that Shiv is emotionally abusive and someone comes along trying to argue that Tom is just as bad. And maybe that's me being overly defensive of my precious Blorbo Tom Wambsgans but it feels like this huge erasure of Shiv's character to talk about her like she's not the one with the power to hurt in their relationship? Like the whole point of the S3 finale was not that she specifically is not in control the way she thought she was?

Idk Succession is a show with a lot of nuance to it and many layers and there absolutely are so many different ways to interpret all the characters and you can't expect people to put disclaimers for every possible contributing factor to why a character is the way they are. That being said, some takes are just bad, but I personally rarely feel like actually fighting people about opinions of fictional characters online. We could probably all stand to be a little more fluid in our understanding of these characters and to give it half an hour before we make salty vagueposts about takes we don't like. I am absolutely guilty of not taking this advice lmao

(Also, also just one final note. It feels really gross to me to snap at people that they're being misogynistic just because they don't have a generous reading of an emotionally abusive character who is a woman. You don't know what people have been through and assuming they don't have personal reasons for being made uncomfortable by the toxic behaviour of any given character in Succ is putting you on extremely shaky grounds)

Top 5 comic moments for Nat?

[okay I start this with full disclosure that I haven’t read every Black Widow comic (nor do I intend to given the sheer volume of them) and also that my brain is swiss cheese so I’ve probably forgotten some stuff. that being said, in no particular order... 

Look at the smarts! The sass! Honestly this entire arc was fulfilling because she gets convicted of wrongdoing, framed for murder, and singlehandedly takes down both the SHIELD operatives who are trying to take her in (without killing them!!!) and also her enemies and proves her innocence all in one fell swoop. It’s phenomenal. Also my poor darling, immediately willing to sacrifice herself for Bucky...

Okay, next!

Natasha, willing to possibly drown in order to save the lives of these girls!!! Willing to give them a future where they choose what they become!!!! We stan. Okay, moving on. 

It’s no secret that I adore Noto’s art, and that has kind of led me to centering my Natasha muse within that arc. Is it a little distant from her original comic self? Yes. Is it growth and complicated emotions? Also yes. She takes on a lot in this arc, and she’s lonely by choice, but then this happens. 

Liho! Named for misfortune in an effort to keep herself distanced, and yet she still can’t help but let the cat in. It’s just so much growth and I love it. Also featured in this arc are the criminally underrated characters of Tori and Isaiah. Onward and forward. 

Ah, Widowmaker. The art here is Extremely Not My Style, but Nat reclaiming her past, showing just how far she’s come from it, confronting her ex-husband and outsmarting him? Heck yes and heck yes. Also features Clint and Bobbi, so I’m biased there. But seriously, her going the high road and doing what is right and STILL not killing him even though he 1000% deserves it... yeah, be still my heart. My girl is grown.  Onwards! 

Winter Soldier 1 !!!!! I cannot stress enough how much I ship BuckyNat. I swear it wasn’t always like this but... just seeing Bucky breaks her out of her brainwashing and they lean on each other for support and are so good for each other and MARVEL WHY WON’T YOU JUST LET THEM BE HAPPY THEY’RE SO AMAZING -sobs- 

Honorable mentions:

So there are bits and pieces of Black Widow Origins that I use for Nat’s backstory on this blog, but this encapsulates a lot of what’s going on with her. Repeatedly in this arc she refers to not being able to tell what is real, the effect of the brainwashing etc. It’s not so much a TOP moment as a formative one for my muse. 

I also don’t use this backstory for Nat working for the KGB (with Ivan being saved by them etc.) but I love how fierce she is in this. We love when our lady is out for blood let’s be real. 

Sometimes we also like her being fallible. Part of the reason she likes Tony a lot is because he’s foiled her plans to mess him up multiple times LMAO 

Last but not least... did I get tired of her being brainwashed again? Yes. BUT they built her a life where she had an ideal lover named James, a kid named Steve, a cat named Logan. They played to her technical mind, her incredible fashion sense, and at the end of the day, she got to have Yelena sweep in! Their friendship after all their past antagonism gives me life. Anyway it was really nice to read a comic where Nat was smiling after a long time, even if she wasn’t quite herself. She was still badass, and the art was pretty, and yeah I’m easy to please on that front.

So I listened to all of the Side tracks and I thought I’d make a quick summary of each for those who are debating checking them out.

people who say “but these playlists have been out forever” you’re right but I’m fashionably late

They’re listed in order of my personal preference (sorry Virge)

Virgil’s Playlist:

the second-longest at 1h 13 min

pretty much exactly what you’d expect in terms of music- predominantly emo/rock songs

most of the songs seem to be about his past with the Dark Sides and his journey over the course of the series

in my opinion, Virgil’s offers the least new information about his character, as the songs don’t give us much we didn’t already know/wasn’t already implied

my personal favorite songs were Be Calm, Sally’s Song, and Ignorance

my least favorite was Sunrise, Sunset

Even if it was my least-favorite playlist overall, it’s still pretty fun to listen to bc it lowkey slaps

Patton’s Playlist:

the shortest at 1hr 4min

passes the vibe check with acoustic guitar, nostalgia, soft/soothing songs- aura of calm

gives perspective on Patton’s character and outlook on life; there were songs about his tendency to assume the best in people, the love/concern he has for the other Sides, the battles he’s currently fighting with himself/how he’s processing POF, and how he feels about his past mistakes

Like Virgil, there’s not a ton of new information, but Patton’s playlist definitely deepened my understanding and appreciation of him

my favorite song by far was Sad (not really because it was about Virgil- I just really liked the song)

I didn’t have a least-favorite song :D

but if you’re someone who likes stimulating/high-energy music, this is not the playlist for you

Remus’s Playlist

the second-shortest at 1h 5min (you thought the colors would correspond to the Side in question, but they’re actually according to length sorry)

as you would expect, this playlist is... odd. It doesn’t stick as tightly to one genre as V and Pat did. I’m atrociously bad at identifying genres but uhh it has alt pop, rock, and lots of synth/electro-pop stuff idk I’m bad at this

Remus’s playlist basically boils down to the recognition that he’s the only Side who’s truly free, and he revels in it. Also he and Roman definitely have some stuff to work out jeez

It’s also really, really funny. I laughed a lot and I was super entertained listening to it because it’s so bizarre and not-PG and Remus

My favorite songs were In The Room Where You Sleep, Ben Bernanke, Tranz, and Don’t Stop Me Now

Logan’s playlist has a clearly defined arc(!!) It tells a story that will likely be mirrored in the series proper- Logan’s feelings of being ignored come to a tipping point and he lashes out big-time before he finally begins to accept who he is and stop forcing himself to fit the narrow role of “Logic”

I understand Logan’s thought process more now, I think. What really got me, though, was how much vulnerability his song choices seemed to show, especially in the last few songs or so (I’m rhyming :D)

My favorite songs were Algorhythm, The Watchtower, Streaks, One More Time With Feeling, and Time Adventure

my least favorites were Fitter Happier and Human (the latter mostly bc it’s really, reallllly long)

If you’re a Logan stan (or someone who likes him a normal amount), I cannot recommend his playlist enough

Janus’s Playlist

the memes are correct. This bitch is jazzy and it’s absolutely fantastic. There’s also a fair number of songs from musicals (Chicago, Hadestown, Cabaret(?), The Jungle Book(?), uh maybe more but I’m not actually much of a theater kid 😳)

come get y’alls Sympathetic Deceit content or whatever the damn tag is called. There’s a lot of good insight into Janus’s motivations and feelings about Virgil (surprise: he misses him), and a few songs about how fun and sexy it is to be evil >:D

like Logan, there’s some hidden vulnerability that comes to the surface and it’s so wonderful. Janus has always seen himself as the protector at odds with the “Light Sides”, and now that he’s been accepted he doesn’t really know how to deal with the change

Okay, at least she has her bearings and she’s vaguely aware of her situation now.

She pushes herself off of the bed and reaches to her nightstand to take her phone so she can call Mona, her manager, and give her an update on the fact that she’s not dead and very much alive. She pats around blindly on the wooden surface, hoping that she’ll land on her phone soon, when her hand bumps into something and sends it down to the floor with a loud shatter.

Now she’s fully awake.

She looks down at the broken glass of water and lets out a curse. She’ll have to be careful or else she might end up injuring herself and that’s definitely going to piss off Mona more. How could she be so stupid? To put a glass of water on her nightstand when—wait a sec.

Ellie’s eyes widen as she looks around the room in a panic. Nope. Not her glass of water. Not her peach pink walls. Not her bedroom. Which means…

She turns to the other side of the bed and the gasp that leaves her is horrific and loud and she has to clamp her mouth shut. The figure stirs on the bed and the broad expanse of his back—his naked and toned back—turns and lays flat on the bed as he resumes the steady rise and fall of his breathing, his eyes closed. His handsome face is haloed around soft brown hair that she has vague memories of delving her fingers into.  

Fuck. Oh fuck.

Ellie hurriedly looks around the room for her phone, her purse—her underwear? No, she still has it on thank god. But she’ll need to locate the Zuhair Murad shimmery gold dress or else Zadie, her stylist, is going to murder her. If Mona’s not going to do it first.

Luckily, Ellie finds her purse just next to where the glass of water had been and she hurriedly pulls out her phone. She ignores the multiple of missed calls from her dad and the pings of celebrity gossip in her notifications as she goes through her contact list and calls the one person she can count on as a friend. She waits for a moment, her heart thumping hard against her chest.

He picks up on the fifth ring.

“Its 10 in the morning Ellie, somebody better be dead.”

Ellie frowns when she hears Raleigh Carrera’s gruff and hungover-coated voice coming through her phone.

“It’s me. I’m dead,” Ellie replies in a whisper as she carefully maneuvers herself off of the bed and away from the broken glass where she spots her dress neatly folded on the chair. “Mona will kill me when she finds out that I just slept with…”

The rests of her words are muffled by the rustle of her dress being put on.

“Shit that’s my girl. Who did you fuck? I bet it was—”

Another voice, lighter and softer, cuts in. 

“Babe who’s on the phone?”

A pause, a tap and a rustling of sheets. “Ellie, she fucked someone last night.”

“Nice! Who was it? I bet it was—”

“Would you two stop it?!” Ellie whisper-shouts as she tries her best to pick up the shattered glass without alerting the sleeping occupant still on the bed. “And don’t just put me on speaker! Also hi Cadence.”

“Hi Ellie! Thanks for coming last night. Now who did you sleep with?”

“It’s—”

A gasp.

“Is it Colt Kaneko? Sweetheart you’ll only get your heart broken with those types of guys. Take it from me, I went through the worst of them.”

“Hey! I’d like to think we worked out just fine.”

“Oh yeah? Remember after the fake breakup when you—”

“You two are not helpful and I’m hanging up now goodbye,” Ellie pockets her phone back into her purse as she cradles the pieces of glass in her palm. She looks at the water stain on his carpet with guilt but it’ll dry out. Probably.

Ellie sighs as she takes one last look at the figure on the bed, her eyes softening in something akin to regret and guilt.

Logan. Bad boy with a heart of gold Logan. The up and coming heartthrob that just signed a major deal with her record label, Overknight Records, Logan.

The very same Logan that she’s scheduled to record a feature in his song for his first studio album under Overknight Records.

And the very same Logan she just (might’ve?) slept with in a drunken haze after Cadence Dorian’s album launch.

She’s fucked. She’s worse than fucked, she’s probably the new celebrity gossip fodder and Twitter’s new punching bag now. Although she’s never officially met him until last night, she’s well aware of how rabid and die-hard his fans can be. Any girl that so much as stands next to him gets chewed out by the worst of his stans.

Ellie takes one big breathe and squeezes her eyes shut, hoping that this is just all a bad nightmare, before she slips out of his bedroom door and out of his apartment. She stealthily makes her way down the elevator and out of the building as she tries to avoid any paparazzi’s that might be camping outside his building.

Once she’s able to hail a cab that’ll take her back to her penthouse, she wonders if this truly is just a bad nightmare. That maybe once she gets home, she can just sleep it off and she’ll wake up and everything will be back to normal.

One can hope, right?

Kirsty and Kit and/or Kirsty and El headcanons?

Kirsty and Kit

I feel like they would have a bit of tension ( through neither of the kids fault tho) on their relationship over Richard because while Richard dotes on the girls he’s very much emotionally abusive to Kit 

( think sorta like that episode where Lorelai was telling him he has to respect her boundaries/judgement and he hits her with “You think I don’t know why you “invited��� me here” and proceeds to make it about making her feel guilty instead of apologizing. Or when he pulls the Yale stuff and instead of saying “yes sorry  i shouldn't have  lied to literally everyone in the car” pulls out the “you know nothing about the Ivy league” sucker punch like specifically Richard reacts badly to being challenged or disagreed with and Kit Very Much challenges him at any time he pulls stuff like this so sadly Richard treats him about as well as he treats Lorelai he’s always bringing up Kit’s shortcomings when Kit disagrees with him and lambasting him with them.)

I feel like Richard would kinda reign it back around Kirsty tho ( he does around Rory becuase sorta how he apologized to Rory over Dean he cares very much about upsetting her and he and Kirsty seem close so i feel like it’d be similar)

Kit wouldn’t tell Kirtsy whenever Richard slides back to being bad to him  😭

Kit would probably also go “I have to take care of her” about Kirsty like he does about Rory and try to be there for all the things Christopher isn’t there for. Like he would go to all her dance recitals and events and just “i gotta be her dad” Kit honey tho lol

He’d support her relationship with the grandparents even as his becomes distanced. ( he stops going to Friday night dinners after graduation ) 

Kirsty might  be able to mitigate the sorta fight/sorta necessary sibling talk that Kit and Rory have coming because Kit means well but is ( unsurprisingly) a bit over protective and Rory eventually has to be like “it was never your job to take care of me and also sometimes you make things worse” ( ie bringing up Paris parents because Paris was cornering Rory) and Kit’s just like “wow okay ow” and is kinda hurt about about and neither of them are good at Feelings bc they’re Gilmores just because from what you’ve told me Kirsty’s good at interventions/picking up other’s emotions.

We stan queer Gilmore kids solidarity. Kit would probably come out to Kirsty before he comes out to everyone else ( he does it pretty early) 

They’ve both gotten in at least one fight per school ( elementary , middle, high) over defending each other. 

Kirsty would be one of the few people to know Kit skips school with Zack on father’s day. And that he kinda disappears that day because it hurts him not because he’s being a slacker. ( i mean he IS a slacker but that day has a lot more to it for him yknow but hes not about to disclose that) 

Kit punching Mitchum and Kirsty slapping Shira on the same episode. Yes please. 

He’d probably ask Kirsty for advice on how to help Rory  ( her panic attacks don’t really go away in his fic and she struggles with bunrout/wondering if she wants journalism still and basically crashes at Kit’s while she does so bc “Yales bad for you and so are the Gilmores”) like probably after We Got Magic To Do because he’s never had to deal with anything like this and “i can’t punch it what tf do I do?” but Kirsty being there gives him someone that would actually...know how the anxiety stuff works.

He goes to see her dances in NY and takes her flowers ( yes this is based on that gif but also im not sorry bc babies) 

El and Kirsty

They’re pretty good hanging out nonverbal like just sitting down and hanging out together because they both know words are hard sometimes. 

Kirsty’s probably one of the only  people who know he likes video game scores ( it helps him focus) as well a some of the bands/genres Lane deems “need to go extinct” ( bc i mean hes sure not telling her and Lore and Rory can be a bit judgy about music too) 

Likewise she’s probably the only one he tells that he’s lowering his coffee intake because it fucks with his anxiety/meds specially after Yale. ( he doesnt tell lorelai or rory bc of their whole “decaf is blasphemy”

Rip Paris when she takes El’s scicom assignments in the newspaper after the PJ Harvey debacle lmao

But also RIP Paris’ if she’s ever mean to Kirsty/drags Kirsty into anything because El’s switch from creampuff to verbally shutting someone down no holds barred aside from seeing someone treated unfairly ( ie Brad) are his siblings. ( even if he has an anxiety attack after look, its the thought  that counts)

He’d keep in contact with her when she goes to NY ( specially bc im not sure if he goes to Washington) and go to her dances.

Fights are hard on him but he’d call Lorelai out when she’s unfair to Kirsty

Kirsty would probably be the one to find out that his panic attacks are getting worse during freshman year at Yale ( for him its yeah like Rory hes struggling to find material Actually Hard and the class load is burying him but also “hey turns out when that happens and you and you’re on meds for GAD which you forget to take because you haven't stopped doing homework for hours and also somehow you’re still scraping by and time is a foreign concept so less food and sleep” it uh...comes back to bite you...Hard) he doesn’t tell Lorelai  because like Rory he hates the idea of letting people down/having people know he’s struggling and he doesn’t tell Rory because he knows she's as busy as him/probably struggling too and doesn’t even see her that often anyways bc …yeah. 

Honestly she’d probably  be the one to find him in Shrinking Lorelais since Lorelai and Rory are crying on the married man in their lives. 

I have this feeling that despite Kirsty sometimes feeling left out withb El and Rory and El sometimes feeling left out with Kirsty and Rory ( hes the only boy and also the only one not dating when they're in hs and its just stuff like that) and later with Jess and Kirsty they also have things that are just theirs ( jogging together, knowing when each other’s anxiety’s spike, keeping feelings secret) and it makes me very ;A;. like they would just be so in each other’s corners.

Salt fests about Christopher. Kirsty’s the only one who knows how much he hates getting books from him because its just him lumping him together with Rory and is the only one who’s ever actually head him say “I'm not even worth googling to him” bc like he doesnt even tell Rory that bc Rory likes Christopher but Kirsty would get it.

El respects that Kirsty keeps things that upset her to herself and doesn’t make her open up but also makes sure to give her words of affirmation when he can tell she’s sad/off/upset. 

Kirsty’s the first person he tells both about figuring out he’s ace ( in 2001) and that he’s aroace ( in Yale) 

I’m still very here for El taking hits from Dean in Keg!Max over Kirsty and falling asleep in her hospital bed like yes gimme. 

He tends to go see Kirsty ( and Trista, Logan and Jess depending on timeline) after having to spend time with Christopher to see Gigi because she gets it. And also probably shows up nonverbal sometimes but Kirsty can tell and they just like read or chill ( just El not being alone after dealing with Christopher)

I remember my reactions to POF more so we’re gonna go with that!

So I knew a little more about what to expect when going into this one. Patton and Roman are my favourite sides and royality is probably my favourite platonic ship so I really really didn’t want to see them fight, however I didn’t expect as much of an actual argument in the way that, say, logic vs passion was

When I watched the summary at the beginning I literally said out loud “bold of you to assume I haven’t watched SVS like 10 times already” lmao

I really wasn’t surprised at c!thomas being angry but jeez that’s a lot of f-bombs lol. I was really happy when both Patton and Roman showed up because... my bois. I love them sm. The song caught me really off guard, I’d heard something about there being “a song that isn’t sung” or something but I really didn’t expect it that early into the episode. But it was a really pleasant surprise, rhythm redux is such a bop and the art accompanying it is so good.

Then the proper discussion began. Roman’s feral cats rant made me laugh, I love how he just goes off on random tangents like that sometimes. I love discussing morals and all the points Patton and Roman brought up really made me think. Then the video game sequences started which I was super excited about. I remember thinking “of all the people we theorised could be behind that silouhette... did anyone predict Leslie Odom Jr?” That was such a great surprise

Logan’s Lowdown!! Oh my gosh I loved this, I was so happy when he showed up. I didn’t expect him to be there at all tbh and seeing how he got his own little video game format thing was amazing. I didn’t pause to read them, I kinda had half my attention on them and half on the conversation between Pat Ro and Thomas leading to me missing a few things and having to skip back a couple times lol, I probably should’ve just paused rather than trying to do two things at once. I also noticed Virgil’s input in the top right corner and Janus’ portrait during the Mario sequence, I was quite proud of myself as I’m usually too invested in what’s happening to notice that kind of stuff the first time around

I recognised the trolley problem from having learnt about it before, I think that scene was a little difficult to watch for everyone. I totally agreed with Roman for being confused by such a complex moral problem. I was kinda scared for a second when Patton got hit with the dialogue box, people do just keep getting hit on the head in this series lol. But it warmed my heart when Roman helped him, like I said, I love their friendship so much

I got so concerned when Patton skipped Logan. Like he panicked, and I really don’t think that’s something he would do on purpose but I was worried for if Logan was ok after being literally yeeted off screen... that took me completely by surprise. As a roman stan, his monologue about letting Patton take the wheel was heartbreaking (although if I thought that was bad, honey, I had a big storm coming). Then “Logan” came back, and I literally had no clue it was Janus, even when he started being more assertive towards Patton. When he revealed himself I was practically kicking myself for not realising it.

Then for at least the next thirty seconds I think the only thing going through my head was “what the hell what the hell what the hell” yeah Patton broke down and turned into a frog I had no idea what was going on then Janus showed up and I was actually kinda relieved to see him, but again was annoyed at myself for not realising sooner. I laughed out loud at all of Patton’s frog puns, Lilypadton was iconic. I was practically giving Janus a standing ovation because all the points he made were so damn important and well-worded. I was so proud of Patton for listening to him and trying to change. But I was also becoming even more concerned for Roman (if that’s even possible) as his black-and-white mentality was preventing him from hearing Janus out.

When I heard the words “my name” I’m pretty sure I started to hold my breath, we’d all been waiting so long to find out Deceit’s name. And I loved the symbolism of him taking his glove off- the acting in this scene was phenomenal. Like so many people, I misheard his name the first time around. I remember pausing the video for a bit and saying out loud “wait what? Is it actually Janice?” (After looking through the comments I realised I’d misheard it and from googling the name afterwards I realised what a good choice it actually was.) But then Roman’s reaction happened and I remember just wincing in shock at how hurtful those two were to each other and by this point I didn’t have the ability to think coherently enough to judge who I thought was in the wrong so I was just kinda thinking “Roman no! Janice no!” and hoping things wouldn’t get any worse

And then things got even worse. I am a roman stan. Have been since I first watched sanders sides in 2018. And those last few lines before he sunk out literally ripped my heart out and I still can’t watch it without getting emotional. I wasn’t even following the next minute or so of the video because I was just kinda going “romanromanromanroman-“ but then all the soft interactions between Janus and Patton started happening and I was just so happy to see the progress in their relationship (but I didn’t stop worrying about Roman). And after Patton sunk out the interactions between Thomas and Janus were also great (“you’re just stuck with a snake boi” made me laugh out loud) and I was so happy that he’d been accepted and that c!thomas knows it’s okay to put himself first sometimes. Oh, and the Leslie Odom Jr cameo!! By that time so much angst had happened I’d honestly completely forgotten that they’d even mentioned him but it was so great that he was in the video and Janus’ reaction was so funny

I only had one thing to say about the endcard: “...guess I’m a Moceit stan now...”

omg ok so my like FIRST job was in a chain music store in a mall, and I was a cool little emo child who did not care about boy bands (lmao past me u fool) so my manager was like that boy group BTR is coming to do an album signing and i was like whatever. But the day of my boss was like oh you can go meet them if you want before the signing and so my choices were go hang out with them or deal with their fans (and there were thousands) so obviously i picked to go to the waiting room. And they were actually REALLY nice. I don't remember a lot of it because it was forever ago (i wanna say 2012 but I don't know like i said it was my first job) but i was awkward as heck until Kendall asked me what kind of music i liked so i was like ah well *insert a bunch of emo/scene bands* and he was like oMG ME TOO and so we talked about going to warped tour and about his band outside of btr (who by the way are great live lmao because i became a secret btr stan after this day) and then I was telling him about tattoo idea i had for a band and he was like OH i love tattoos wanna see mine?? so im like oh cool he must have a bicep tattoo or something he hides. but no he has this cool peace sign between his shoulder blades and just pulled his shirt up to show me. Logan made fun of him for it I remember because i like choked at the sight of a half naked famous boy lmao. But I still have the signed poster they gave me and my name tag that kendall signed as an apology for startling me lmao

poetry?

charlie loves it genuinely and will read it for fun. riley likes it enough but doesn’t go out of her way to read it. farkle loves coming up with insane explanations for the metaphors and is smug about interpreting it in class. zay doesn’t care for it, neither does lucas. asher appreciates it but finds it boring; dylan likes it for the same reason farkle does, only not to look smart but to come up with something completely crackheaded to combat farkle’s interpretation (which he can���t then say isn’t correct, bc its poetry, so all interpretations are valid!). isa doesn’t like it because she doesn’t get the metaphors on paper the same way she can pick them up in film. maya hates it even though multiple people have pointed out that song lyrics are basically poetry -- she will tune you out.

sports?

sports aren’t Big at aaa (aside from dance), but there are remnants here and there. riley follows basketball of course -- even tho as demonstrated in 110, she cannot play it to save herself -- and she tried out for cheer in 9th grade at her old school but was rejected from the squad (another bad mark on a terrible year). farkle prefers wii sports over any actual sport, but will sometimes watch golf with stuart because it’s quality time with his very busy father. charlie did soccer when he was younger before it got phased out by dance and semi keeps up with it. dylan also “played” soccer, but this meant the other little league teammates getting pissed at him bc he never paid attention to the game and was just like “hey! hey, dennis, look at this!” and did like 3 cartwheels across the field. it was a smart move when randall pulled him from the team bc those intense soccer moms were gonna like beat them up fDJSKG. so now dylan is just an unofficial gymnast instead.

isa doesn’t like sports but played them a lot with foster siblings, and even though she sucks she gets very competitive. lucas liked baseball and was good at track in middle school, but he never thought about doing a sport for real because he knew he was going to quincy eventually where his dad is a coach... yeah. no. but he’s great at running fast from the police!

maya hates sports (aside from the art of dance). waste of time, waste of energy. asher has never done a sport nor ever contemplated a sport. the most Sport he’s endured is going with jade to support dave at his swim meets (where nigel also does swim) and suffice to say, asher wasn’t there to look at the swimming.

childhood tv?

dylan to this day is a spongebob squarepants STAN. legend, icon, scholar, best television show ever made, in his opinion. he also was well-versed in pokemon, adventure time, gravity falls, and phineas and ferb. asher and lucas both didn’t watch lots of tv growing up (if at all), so dylan considers it his job to give asher a thorough education in the quality tv he missed as a kid.

maya was all over hannah montana (miley is still a role model to this day for her), and she, zay, and charlie all remember the fever dream that was shake it up. zay especially loved it bc he was (is) obsessed with zendaya. zay and maya both also watched victorious. charlie was sharing a tv with four siblings so he just ended up watching whatever the dominant sister that day wanted to watch. riley was a disney channel girl, and farkle was a pbs scholar (arthur, cyber chase, fetch! with ruff ruff man... classics).

 celebrity crushes?

zay = zendaya (as previously mentioned). charlie = harry styles to a major degree, although his Cover Story would be zendaya if you asked (ironically). maya = britney spears (but in a I Want To Be Her way, major idolization rather than attraction) and technically the same for valerie de la cruz but like... rip to that lmao. isa = loki, yes we know, but sometimes it be that way (altho that does extend a little bit towards tom hiddleston in general). asher = logan lerman, aka the main valid white boy who dresses nice, is polite and soft-spoken, and minds his own business (not to mention he is the Same Type as dylan). dylan = had crushes more on like... personalities so like ash ketchum and percy jackson, and now its irrelevant bc he met asher and became obsessed and its like every other potential crush just flew out the window of his brain. it’s full asher territory in there nowadays.

riley doesn’t have a specific one, she thinks lots of people are Pretty but no one particularly strongly. farkle doesn’t have one because he’s insane and doesn’t have the mental capacity. lucas doesn’t have one because he’s demi and also hates most celebrities as people.

riley is huge on ancient greece and greek mythology. maya loves the theatricality and Drama of the roaring 20s (a baby flapper at heart). zay vibes hard with the 80s. charlie likes the fashion and romanticism and music and art of the 70s (that sort of flowery positivity clashing with the rebelliousness of the movements of the 60s... yeah. that hits something in him). farkle’s is the great depression not only bc he’s an emo but also all the raw and desperate art that came out of it. isadora was a egyptian mythology kid. i know lucas sounds lame (he is), but i don’t think he cares about history -- but if pushed he’d probably say the 90s bc he dresses like he’s straight out of there, everyone was angry rocking, and he wasn’t born. asher likes the victorian era bc of the sheer elegance and Aesthetic to everything. dylan doesn’t have a favorite time period because due to being the subconscious multiverse conduit (i.e. the being that is somewhat connected to every other version of himself) sometimes he wakes up and for a minute he doesn’t even know what year it is 🤪anyway...

summer camp?

charlie has been to many a christian youth summer camp. zay went to the kossal program, but that was basically it. lucas no although he probably wished he could be anywhere else during the summer sometimes including a camp he would hate. riley went for a few years in elementary school. isa has gone to a couple of “foster kid” summer camp bonding things that she despised. farkle went to jewish summer camp One time and was like that was HORRIBLE, never make me spend a whole summer outside AGAIN. asher was more of a Enrichment courses at the rec center during the summer kid than a camper. dylan no because the orlandos couldn’t afford something like that. same for maya.

candles?

riley has a small variety of scented ones that are like... warm scents, like cinnamon and stuff. asher a couple that smell like clean linen but his fear of accidental fires keeps him from ever lighting them. maya has one and it smells like “star power,” a gift from her mom one christmas. isadora can’t have any because many of her foster homes don’t allow them. lucas legally shouldn’t be allowed anything that catches on fire. dylan doesn’t have one but similarly should not be given one. the minki have a whole collection for different things so farkle can just pluck one at any time if he needs one like for a super fancy bath or whatever the fuck rich people do.

maya doesn’t have one, and lucas also doesn’t have one because in the rare moments he does cry its in his closet in the dark silence alone bc he literally can’t stand the sentience of knowing he’s crying so. sensory blackout.

coffee / tea?

riley will add at least 3 sugars to anything, but she’s ultimately an iced tea gal. lucas drinks it black but only because it never occurred to him to add anything to it and so it’s a big wake up call when he realizes you can drink it and have it NOT be bitter and horrible and demoralizing ( “i thought we were all just suffering for the caffeine fix??” ). isa is a tea girl mostly, although she wishes she could drink black coffee for the aesthetic (and hates that lucas can... it’s like... he didn’t even Earn that aestheticism, smh). asher doesn’t drink caffeine bc it makes him Jittery (and he’s already jittery) so he’s like... the lemonade bitch at coffee shops which kin, and then dylan definitely drinks caffeine but not thru coffee, he’s more likely to get like a hot chocolate.

farkle lives on coffee but he can only drink it from home because they’re rich and can have like fresh ground good imported whatever the heck etc etc so he’s like spoiled about coffee. zay will hit up a starbucks now and then and will order coffee at a diner, but he’s not too attached either way. maya is a fun n free starbucks gal with her frappes and lattes and lots of cream (whipped or otherwise). charlie doesn’t drink coffee or tea bc hes hyper aware of his body and health (he doesn’t really have soda either) and it was frowned upon in his house.
