🏴‍☠️Fishook headcanons🏴‍☠️

•Lived in the middle of the 17 century.

•He was born without an arm and an eye, that was the main reason people used to make fun of him when he was younger.

•because of the abuse he ran away from his house, he wanted to go away as posible so he hided as a stowaway in a ship, that actualy belonged to pirates!

•The captain felt bad about the kid and decided to take care of him, teaching him some pirate stuff.

•He always loved the sharks, they were his favourite animal and he used to talk to them when they got close to the ship.

•Eventualy he grew up and gained his own crew, he quickly became more and more feared across the sea.

•He adores singing, I imagine him perfectly singing some pirate song to encourage his crew.

•The main reason he was famous was his clasical execution way that consisted in letting the sharks eat his enemies.

•In a macabre and ironical way thats how he died, when a member of the royal guard trew him off the ship and the sharks saw him as a meal.

Lm3 headcanons/I'm back!

Hey, I'm back after another while, lol.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone 🦃 or Christmas to those who celebrate early🎄

Anyway, I wanted to make a headcanon list of the boss ghost from Luigi's Mansion 3 since I'm currently hyperfixated on it again, lol. It's one of my favorite games, I especially love the ghosts too. I like to think that some of the boss ghosts can't really leave the hotel or choose to stay in the hotel due to rage, sorrow, obligation or just to chill(which is half-freed)

Freed soul = 🟡

Bound soul(by rage, sorrow, etc) = 🔵

Half freed = 🟢

These are my headcanons for them:

Steward: used to work at the hotel before it was taken over. Felt obligated to stay there 🔵

Chambrea: also worked there and also felt obligated 🔵

Kruller: Has nowhere else to really go after he died 🟡

Chef soufflé: Worked there and felt obligation too 🔵

Amadeus Wolfgeist: Out of rage for nobody taking him seriously as a pianist when he was alive. Decided to stay and terrorize any human who listens to him perform 🟢

King MacFrights: Out of vengeance for his fallen kingdom and the royal family 🔵

Dr. Potter: Stayed to take care of his plants. Just chilling 🟡

Morty: To make movies and express his ✨️art✨️ 🟡

Ug: Bound by the t-rex that ate him. Stays in the museum mostly 🔵

Clem: The janitor of the hotel. Felt obligated too, although can leave 🟢

Serpci: Just to chill. Doesn't hold any anger or grudge, died with honor but decided to stay and hang out 🟡

Nikki, Lindsey, and Ginney: Wanted to stay and show their magic to everyone in the hotel, trying to reach the fame they never could before they died 🟢

Captain Fishook: Isn't bound at all but chooses to stay and hang out with some of the minor ghosts his "crew". One of the more friendly ghosts as he died knowing he did what a captain should, but misses his past crew dearly. Can leave the hotel whenever he likes and floats around, feeling more free than ever before 🟡

Johnny Deepend: Only half bound by his sorrow. He died while playing water polo with his best friend as he accidentally got caught on some rocks. His friend was too late to save him and they both feel guilt. He just hopes his friend is ok and living his life 🟢

Phantasmagloria: Isn't bound but stays to chill and dance the afterlife away 🟡

Hellen gravely: Bound as she used to own the hotel + king boo, lol 🔵

Bonus:

Polterkitty + Polterpup: Were born and raised together accidentally but got separated. Polterpup was run over accidentally and Polterkitty died from falling ill 🟡(for both)

Amadeus Wolfgeist, age 53 (1754-1807): Heart attack brought on by stress and rage after his performance bombed

King Rory MacFrights, age 46 (764-810): Killed in a joust

Dr. Sylvester Potter, age 85 (1900-1985): Died of old age

(Bonus headcanon: He is the grandfather of the Three Sisters from the second game. They inherited their interest in plants from him, an interest they kept long after they died from an illness)

Mortimer “Morty” Wilson, age 29 (1928-1957): Crushed by a falling stage light while trying to film his masterpiece

Polterkitty, age 6 (2012-2018): Stray cat hit by a car and then enchanted by Hellen Gravely to gain extra powers

Ug, age 35 (25000 BCE-24965 BCE): Eaten by a T-Rex, the same one he is now possessing (since this is the Mario universe, humans and dinosaurs lived around the same time here)

Clement “Clem” Abernathy, age 38 (1948-1986): Hit his head and drowned in the sewers

Pharaoh Serpci I, age 31 (3051 BCE-3020 BCE): Commited suicide as part of a ritual to stop a sandstorm from ravaging her people

Nikki, Lindsey, and Ginny Hawthorne, age 15 (1972-1987): Stage they were performing on caught on fire due to a magic trick gone wrong

(Bonus headcanon: Nikki is the one with long pigtails, Lindsey is the one with the ponytail, and Ginny has the short pigtails)

Captain Fishook, age 70 (1920-1990) Pirate shark killed in a duel with Jonathan “Johnny” Jones, who took over his crew

Johnny Deepend, age 24 (1967-1991): Swim trunks got caught in a pool filter, causing him to drown

Gloria “DJ Phantasmagloria” Townes, age 26 (1973-1999): DJ equipment malfunctioned, electrocuting her

Hellen Gravely, age 40 (1978-2018): Commited suicide after she was suddenly rejected by her lover. After her death, she adopted Polterkitty, became obsessed with King Boo, and brought together the rest of the staff to help defeat Luigi.

After the events of the game, the ghosts (except for Hellen, Polterkitty, and King Boo) all got a second chance, and they now work at the Last Resort, which has since become a legitimate hotel.

Yup, no one asked this but It was too cool idea.

🗡️Nikki:

•When the kings died, Nikki was the only heir to the throne, the people did not like that a woman took command, so they did their best to be a fair and kind queen, but the people began to accuse her of being a witch until that one day they broke into the palace gates to take her to the stake.

🏴‍☠️Lindsey:

•Captain Lindsey was a ruthless pirate who dominated the seas in those times, her way of looting seemed almost magic and they ended up also nicknamed her swordfish, but this same animal was the cause of her death when she was brutally stabbed by one when she fell from the boat.

🐍Ginny:

•Ginny was a mysterious pharaoh, she spent her days and nights in the god's temples doing strange rituals and spells to help the kingdom, but one fateful day the temples caught fire, taking the life of the monarch.

🎩Mac, Serpci and Hook:

Mac, Serpci and Hook only had each other, they were orphans with nowhere to live, they used to steal from houses to support themselves and from time to time doing mischief in the neighborhood for fun, one night a guard night shot the three children thinking they were robbers.

CAPTAIN FISHOOK!!!! HI DAD!!!!!!!!! Sometimes you just need a shark who is also a pirate who is also a ghost who is also very lovely to be your dad,I needed that AND HE IS THERE FOR ME!!!!!!

I LOVE HIMS SO MUCH!!!! Honestly…I thinks I consider all The Boss Ghosts in LM3 to be like my family,but Fishook is special cuz he’s my DAD!!!! Everyone else is like older cousins or babysitters or aunts and uncles and stuff that I bonded with BUT FISHOOK IS MY DAD!!!!!!!!!!!!

I swear I wanna give him the biggest hug ever and get PARENTAL SNUMGLES by himb…SO BAD!!!! Everyday!!! EVERYDAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Also there’s this humanoid form that someone made for him and I AM SO SO ATTACHED TO IT AND HE’S PRETTY MUCH CANON TO ME!!!!! I dunno if I should show it because the creator doesn’t upload on tumblr anymore (Me hopes they okay now!!!!) And I wanna be respectful!! BUT STILL I ADORE HIM AND I ADORE HIM REGARDLESS OF HUMAN OR SHARK FORM!!!!!!!

Also something I noticed about Mario in general is that…ghosts are treated very poorly.I won’t go too in depth here,but THESE ARE SENTIENT BEINGS BEING CAPTURED AND ROBBED OF FREEDOM BY A VACUUM JUST BECAUSE THEY’RE SPECTRES!!!! It’s concerning and Nintendo never really mentioned it but OUGH I SEES IT!!!!!!

As much as Fishook wants to protect me!! I wanna keep him and every ghost safe from ghosthunting!!!!!! Which is why I made my self insert the ambassador of ghostkind!!!!! Much to the annoyance of King Boo…as in the LM one. That Dingus annoys me- (So ungrateful towards Hellen Gravely-!! SHE DID EVERYTHING FOR - )

HE MEANS EVERYTHING TO ME AND I LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU SHARK DAD!!!!! CAPTAIN DAD!!!!!!!

He’ll always remind you that while he’s eternally grateful for your help and how much you care for him, you should never, ever feel obligated to protect him, cuz that’s a papa’s job!!! 🥺 But at the same time, he has utmost faith you can do anything you set your mind to (because you can! ITS FINALLY HERE FOLKS!

Now you may be wondering: What in the world is on my [insert electronic device type here] screen?

What I have done is determined which Luigi’s Mansion 3 ghost (excluding the obvious such as the triplets and Captain Fishook) is the most attractive! The scoring of each ghost is determined by: 1-5 scale for physical appearance, 1-10 scale for personality, 1-5 scale for “Survival Rate” (how likely will the ghost accidentally/purposefully hurt a mortal lover) and a 1-5 scale for “Niceness Rate” (aka, is the ghost generally approachable, or do they hate you with their guts?)

Physical appearance is ranked not by modern standards but instead what was considered attractive at the time (ex. Steward was judged by what was considered handsome in the early 1900s, instead of what is attractive present day.) I did this because beauty is subjective and differs from person to person, including myself. Therefore I have something more specific to judge from.

Personality is judged by two primary factors: 1.) Is the specter balanced with positive and negative traits, or have a dynamic over the course of the game (or sometimes just their respective floor.) No one wants to date something with the personality of a door. Or date something that is a door. 2.) Does the ghost display any toxic traits like self-destructive behaviors, lack of boundary respecting, or generally degrade others around them? This would result in a deduction in personality points, which is the biggest category that contributes to a ghost’s total “Hotness” score. Nothing good ever comes from dating a toxic person.

There are 12 rankings total due to 2 spots being tied between 2 ghosts each. I’ll be posting the least attractive first, then gradually what is the ‘winner’ of this ranking! There isn’t necessarily any prize except… bragging rights I suppose. Nothing will be deathly serious or set in stone with future analysis of lm3 ghost’s personalities, everyone is subject to their own opinions! Think someone else should’ve been the top spot once its revealed? Go ahead and post why! I’d love to see your take on something I may have missed!

For the sake of making this… series of analysis- I’ll be tagging the specific posts with “#lm3 hot to not”, in case anyone wants to see all related posts. The tag can also be used by others if they want to post their own analysis of who they think should be ranked where and why!
