I wanted to appreciate the ladies of Vehicle Voltron a bit. So, I went about looking at screenshots and redrawing them in the style for my VV/VLD AU.  I’m gonna be honest, I really like the Vehicle team. I love how distinct and different the characters are. And I love that the girls all look so different from one another and do their parts to help with the team, even keeping them in line it seems.  So! Here’s the the ladies! 

I’m going to be honest, I liked the slight changes made to the characters, from uniform design to appearances. I definitely had changes for Cinda. I had the basics, but with changes, especially the ears and hands, showing more like she is from a water planet as is said in the cartoon. And the spot on her forehead, making it a bit different works, too. 

Also! I wanted to give a shoutout to @voltronfandomhag​. You do wonderful work with providing information on the characters that has helped me so much in my research. You also provide wonderful screenshots. I was gladly able to check the screenshots you shared of these ladies to use for my redraw. Thank you very much.

Have any of the monsters found weird good things for being whatever kind of monster they are? Like not being able to get sunburn, walking on walls, or being able to avoid awkward conversations?

Depends on your definition of “weird good things”. But yeah, a number of the monsters understand and can take advantage of certain benefits of being a certain type of monster.

The invisible people find it’s easier being stealthy when you’re invisible (if you know what you’re doing).

The electricity absorption/discharge thing Dan has can be useful in controlled doses, but the thing is he can’t really control it anymore because of the experiments done on him.

Having the ability to willingly turn into an animal (like Lisa or one of the vampires) can be useful depending on the situation. (Like if you wanna sneak into the zoo or something. /no)

We imagine the senses for some of them are heightened more than the average person’s as well, sometimes to make up for weaker ones (like the invisible people’s vision may not be good but their hearing is probably good) or because of something to do with them having ties to animals (the vampires, the werewolves, Paula, Lisa).

Being a monster can be a very mixed bag. Sometimes, you have to learn to see a positive side to the situation.

The way I see it, she has a talent for finding producers and co-writers that polish her generic teenager songs and make them appear as way more than they are by over-producing the shit out of them... - a couple weeks ago I would not have agreed with you. But over the past few weeks I have sought out other female musicians and am astounded by the talent out there. People would have you believe she is the greatest and no one comes close. I still think she has some really great songs, but the more I discover, the more I realize that perhaps the songs I thought were really genius, weren't all they are cracked up to be. Giving her music up was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I just wish more people could see she isn't the only one worth listening too. But the music media has helped create this narrative that she is the end all and be all. It is too bad for all these other exceptional women who get drowned out. I am not telling people to give her up. By no means. Just encouraging people to look beyond the persona and discover more voices. Women who are talented, insightful, and don't use their platform to harass and abuse people who don't treat them like gods.

Ngl, there aren't that many female singers that I really love, certainly not new ones.

But I do love Diana Krall, Sarah McLachlan, Loreena McKennitt, Moya Brennan of Clannad, Lisa Gerrard, Björk, Florence Welch, Kate Bush. And of course there are the greats like Stevie Nicks, Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin......the list goes on.

All of them have more real talent in their pinkies than Ms. Swift - because they all have an unmistakable, distinctive style and you will recognise their voices the second you hear them.

Meanwhile, I have trouble telling Katy Perry, TS, Camilla Bello, Demi Levato etc etc etc apart. I may recognise Rhianna...on a good day.
