Loving the fact that even Alucard's relationship dynamics are the inverse of Dracula's.

On one end of the spectrum, Lisa was 90% of Dracula's impulse control. Meanwhile, Alucard is 90% of the Belmont Clan's impulse control whenever he is around.

Case 1) Vampire who's destructive impulses are controlled by a human lover.

Case 2) Uniquely psychotic human family who's impulses are largely controlled and directed by a half-vampire.

It lives in my head rent free.

Technically part 5 of Kissartfebruary challenge by @violettenouvel , this time not with OCS, but with my fav Couples from Castlevania! Had fun with these so hope ya like

First is Day 9 is complete, this time it is a rough sketch of Trevor and Sypha, the best couple only second to Dracula and Lisa. After an argument, Sypha is the playful kiss and make up type, whilst the stubborn Belmont is quick to "Deny" it despite him actually needing one.

Second is my fav, and boy did I have fun with Day 13. Knew I had to do another Castlevania sketch and who better than the best couple Dracula and Lisa. Wholesome but laced with angst as the theme is "Farewell". Imagine it...this was the last goodbye between husband and wife before he experiences the world and travels as asked from the one he loves. What a cruel world it is to take away the only thing tethering a broken man to reality and the last thread of his humanity burnt away to ashes.

Last but not least is yet another Castlevania fix! A Belnades and Belmont sketch once more being adorable! A quick peck on the "Shoulder" on Sypha's badass scar from Trevor! Hope ya like and stay tuned!!

Just spitballin here about themes…

Thinking of Dracula being alone all that time and then he met Lisa, who encouraged him to travel and see the best of people, the same Dracula who tore down the Church for her, and Alucard being a manifestation of the love they had for each other

Meanwhile, Tera lost all who she knew and probably saw the lowest of low for humanity, met Emmanuel who was part of the Church who believed his own hypocrisy, and kept his love for Tera and Maria secret

Overall Summary: Like any twelve year old would, Trevor ran when he realized that someone wanted to kill him. Better put, Trevor ran when he realized that the Church wanted to kill him and had been happy to light his family's home on fire.

So he ran.

Right into Lisa Tepes.

“I think it’s the day we actually try to get you out of that bed! What do you say to picking out your own books?” Adrian asked, grinning as the door shut behind him. They always kept the door shut. It made Trevor feel more secure knowing that it would have to open for anyone to come inside, namely Dracula.

Trevor blinked at him in surprise. “Your mother will kill you if I’m not supposed to be out of bed yet, you know,” he warned, though he was already swinging his feet out bed to get up.

He was so tired of being stuck in one place. Before, he had always had something to do. Chores, training, a tree to play in. Something that wouldn’t require him to wait around for his ankle to heal or the burns on his hands to go away. Even going for a brief walk sounded much better than being stuck in this room for another minute.

And it drew a laugh out of Adrian. “Then we’ll die together,” he offered, moving to steady Trevor as he shakily stood, keeping him close. “But I came up here with her permission, so I think we’ll be ok with not angering her. Plus, there’s no stairs between here and there to give you problems.” It earned him an eye roll.

“Ah, yes, stairs, the scariest thing ever,” he responded dryly.

The time has finally come to dive into the first TWO episodes of season 1 of Castlevania! This show is so special to me and it's been a delight to get back into it. This first season is short but also weirdly slow, but I think it serves as the perfect introduction to all of the characters, settings, and storylines.

Grab a drink and get settled, because this is a fun one ♡

So, lately I've been reading my way through some really good Castlevania fics on A03, and I have to say that while there exists a delicious selection of fix-its....

There is a definitive lack of time-travel fics where the Nocturne-era crew get sent back to 1400s Wallachia.

Imagine the insanity of that scenario? Maria, Richter, Annette, and Juste have never known anything quite as bad as the full power of Dracula's wrath. Even Ezrebet Bathory couldn't hold a candle to carnage and destruction on that scale.

Alucard is just having an all around awful time for obvious reasons, and then you have Trevor and Sypha. Trevor is just doing Trevor, getting drunk and trying to forget his grief when WHABAM!... More Belmonts, two other random hunters, and a super old dhampir with depression. He is not emotionally prepared for any of that, and neither are the others.

Sypha is just doing Sypha, trying to save the world and looking for the right crew to help her out with that. She has no idea what her presence (and Trevor's) mean to Alucard, just that she's found her Hunter and Soldier.

Trevor is immediately both protective of his newly materialized relatives and standoffish with them. He of course has no idea that they've time-traveled or that he's their ancestor, so while he sees Richter as "just a kid" and innocent of any wrongdoing, he holds some resentment towards Juste because his perspective is basically "Why didn't this surviving elder of the Belmont clan come to try and help me when I was alone as a child? Did he genuinely not know that I was alive or did he just not care?"

Richter really wants to say something and set the record straight, but Juste finds it easier to be loathed than to try explaining, so he keeps Richter quiet.

Maria is still just mourning her mother and trying to recover, so she mostly does her own thing while occasionally spending some time practicing magic alongside Sypha and Annette.

Annette isn't sure how to feel about this whole clusterfuck, but she's pretty sure that she hates it, and she definitely hates having to watch as people undergo even greater suffering around her.

Alucard is crying in the corner, he's so fucking exhausted but can't tell anybody because he needs to be strong for "the kids," Oh..... And also this version of Trevor still hates anything and everything night related, even him, so showing weakness just gets him mocked.

And there's Dracula coming in from the left with a steel chair!!!!!!! 😮 🪑

RIGHT as he was passing by Târgoviște to search for a way out, accidentally saves a woman from burning at the stake. But hold on she looks a little like...Alucard??? CUE CHAOS AND YOUNG ALUCARD MEETING OLDER TREVOR-
