Because if so, I will just say that I am very excited to have selected Charlie as my fancast for Théodred of Rohan! (Excited because I hope to start writing chapters of my Eomer x OC fic soon, which actually co-stars dear Théodred.)

okay prepare yourselves for a sam nicholls-related rant:

can the press/media etc (casualty's own team and external outlets too) STOP trying to portray her as some kind of man-stealer and quit acting like all she's good for is breaking people up???

first, last week all the spoilers and reviews made out that it would be her who split lily and iain up, that that's all she wanted and that she wanted him for herself instead of antinf them to be happy

but what actually happened???? she told iain to get a grip and sort things out with lily, practically forced them to confront the situation because she wanted them to be happy, made sure lily knew she'd forgiven her for their argument, helped iain try to win her back and looked gutted when lily decided to leave. she was the one trying to HELP them, not split them up!!!!

and then again tonight, all the spoilers etc were screaming "sam tells iain to move on, does she mean with her?!" and acting like she was already making a move on him even though lily's barely been gone two minutes

but what actually happened (again)??? she spent her whole day trying to cheer iain up any way she could think of, she thought acting like one of the lads and giving him tough love was what he needed, but when she realised she was wrong she organised for all his friends to meet them for a drink so they could help him get over his heartbreak because she knows what that feels like

all she's done for the past few weeks is try her hardest to make things right and make people happy, give the girl a break!!! sam nicholls is a precious angel and she deserves so much love, i wish people would stop trying to make her into something she's not. it just annoys me bc casual viewers tend to believe what they read and then people make me want to bang my head against the wall with their stupid comments

can we just talk about sam going out of her way to try and make lily and iain talk to each other, and convincing iain not to let her walk away without telling her how he felt? i presume we were meant to think she was making up for getting in between them, but it felt a lot deeper than that imo.

she seemed desperate for them to talk it out before lily made a rash decision and left, and made a point of telling iain that there's a chance he might be able to stop her and he'd regret it if he didn't try. and all i could think of was the parallels to her relationship with dylan. how they didn't talk about the issues in their marriage, and that's what led to her running away to afghanistan. maybe i'm looking into it too much, but it felt to me like she was trying to stop them falling apart the way her and dylan did. and when she told iain he should tell lily how much he loves her and maybe he'd be able to make her stay - maybe she wishes that dylan had done just that when she left, tried to stop her instead of just letting her walk away.
