a very totally not late Day 6- Family Photo
I adore the concept of Lewis being an honorary member of the Gales, but also think that there isn’t enough content of Lewis and Ridley’s dynamic specifically within that context. :3

What's in a Name
Summary: This would be Wiatt's first lunch joining his boyfriend (BOYFRIEND!!!) at his usual lunch spot with his usually lunch mates, which is to say that he was re-meeting Lewis's best friends with the context of dating Lewis. This was basically make or break it as far as Wiatt was concerned. Just had to make a good impression. No pressure. Right? Riiiiight.
(Also available on AO3)
     Wiatt was nervous. This was his first time seeing having lunch with Lewis as his boyfriend. What's more, this was his first time having lunch with his boyfriend and his boyfriend's best friends. Wiatt knew how important the two friends were to Lewis. One was practically a sister that Lewis had grown up with and the other rounded out their energetic ideas and was a kind glue that smoothed out the edges and made the three closer than the two were before. He treasured these friendships and if either of them thought he wasn't right for Lewis or just didn't like him, well, a boyfriend of two days vs a pair of best friends for over a year? He was pretty sure who Lewis would choose, and honestly? Was Wiatt even that much? What did Lewis even see in him?
     He had to make a good impression. He had been introduced before, but something about today felt more real. Oh, fuck! What if he got their names wrong? What if he forgot them? Asking them to repeat their names after he had known of them as long as he had known of Lewis? He was going to seem like such a careless jerk. Wiatt nervously jiggled the cord of his headphones and winced at the slight static sound it caused. He would have to put Coldplay on pause in a moment, but he let the tempo of 42 guide the beat of his footsteps as he scanned the area for a sign of blonde, brown, or orange hair.
     Eventually, he spotted Lewis's beanie and made his way to one of the blue mesh metal tables with an umbrella. Next to Lewis was a girl with long brown hair. She was munching on baby carrots from a purple striped lunchbox with the Cheshire Cat on it. What a shifty character to pair with someone eating in a shifty way. Just carrots? Plain? No ranch? No hummus? As if sensing his judgment, she plucked a grape out of the bag and took a bite into another carrot. What a monster!
     Next to the food fiend was a boy with slightly unkempt red hair and sunken green eyes. Wiatt's Wikipedia-scavenging heart went out the boy he clocked as a fellow insomniac.
Lewis looked up from his cafeteria soggy spaghetti and meat sauce and a beaming smile lit up his face. That smile could give solar power a run for its money, but instead it sent a charge to the butterflies in Wiatt's stomach, especially when his lips parted to sing out his name, "Wiatt! Darling! Come, join us."
     At the sound of his harmonious voice, Lewis's friends looked up at the lunchtime interloper. Right! This was the make it or break it moment. The brunette was closer, so he offered his hand to her.
"Hi, Sara." Her name was a bit easier to remember because after their introduction he had the song “Que Sera Sera” stuck in his head.
     Sara didn't take the offered hand. She just stared at him, as if challenging him to try and mess with her. Fair enough. He didn't need to talk to her. Let her resume her food crimes.
     Time to greet the other friend. Right. His name had something related to plants, right? Oakley? Ash? Forrest?
“Wiatt!” The other boy exclaimed. Then he made a face like he was worried he said something wrong. Or maybe he was worried he said it too loud? Well, Wiatt would just up the energy and try to calm this guy’s nerves. Besides, he remembered the boy’s name. They were in World History together.
“Hey! Good to see you, Basil!” Wiatt cheered and gave his own smile.
     Basil took the offered hand and smiled back, then paused.
“Yeah! Wait.”
Sara started to cackle. She leaned over and gave the redhead a noogie. “He sure is! It’s my bestest buddy, Basil.”
“Saaaraaaaa,” the boy whined.
At the same time, Lewis cleared his throat, stood up, and guided Wiatt to sit next to him. “That is Oliver, Darling.”
Oh. Oh. Oh no. Wiatt covered his face. “Oh my god. Oliver! I am so sorry! Oh no. Hnnnngh!”
Lewis chuckled and pat Wiatt’s back. “It’s quite alright, Darling. We could tell you were nervous.”
“You sit next to me in World History.”
“I am really sorry!”
Sara took a breath to calm her laughter. “He’ll forgive you, don’t worry. I, however, will not let you live this down.” “Noted.” Wiatt deadpanned.
“For the record, you got my name right, at least. But I am telling you now it is spelled S-A-R-A. No H.” “Got it.” “Do you want me to write it down? I can get a pen.”
“If I offer half my cookie will you forgive me?” Wiatt sighed.
“You may buy my silence for the moment.” Sara agreed cordially.
“I was asking Oliver.” “Are you sure you don’t mean Basil?”
“I really don’t mind. Wiatt.” Oliver finally spoke up. Wiatt held out half the cookie to him nonetheless. Oliver gamely took the treat, broke it into thirds, and passed a piece each to Lewis and Sara.
“Aww! A sweet from a sweetheart!” Sara cooed in thanks. She then retrieved a bag of…more grapes??? from her lunchbox and passed the plastic bag to Oliver.
“You just don’t want to eat the olives,” Lewis chided
“Yes, and?” Sara retorted
Oliver looked at the bag, smirked for a moment, and held the bag out to Wiatt. “Want some? As a pneumatic device?”
Wiatt let out a nervous chuckle and plucked one of the offered namesakes. “Thanks.”
     From there, things went a bit more smoothly. Aside from the occasional teasing from Sara that petered out after a while, the name mishap was forgotten for a while. At least, it seemed to be.
-Around a year later-
     The three best friends looked over their new employees. To think, they had employees , now! People were relying on them for instructions and paychecks. The nerves!
     Oliver was surprised to see some familiar faces. It felt weird seeing people he knew from school when they were now in a different city. Sara leaned over to inspect the list of names and photos to go with the names.
“Oh, no way! Lewis?” That was Andrew. He was in a study group with Sara as well as the art club Lewis had to drop once they started the project that led to them founding the Dreamworld facility.
“It’s good to see you, Darling.” Lewis greeted.
“Is it just you or is…Oh! Hi, Sara.” Andrew was bouncing on the balls of his feet. Then he turned to look at Oliver. “I didn’t get to know you as well as Lewis and Sara. Oh! But now I have the chance to know you more, too! I look forward to working with you, Basil!”
“Oh, um,” Oliver was caught off guard by Andrew’s enthusiasm, but his words registered after a moment. Oliver let his face fall into his palm, “Darn it, Wiatt.”
Sara patted his shoulder. “Not even here and the plus one is still causing trouble,” Sara laughed.

One last character AU Question, but I re-read Skating in silence, and how did Lewis become the Sara of the Roleswap?
(yes im answering asks a little out of order today for times sake. also im very sick) Well, from a technical point the main swap was Lewis to Sara, Sara to Oliver and Oliver to lewis. I wanted Lewis to be Sara just because i love flamboyant and dramatic villains and thought it would be fun! His position is a little more understandable when its pointed out that instead of carols on the calls its Alison. who makes a lot more logical points about the situation and litho. Unlike Sara, Lewis knew exactly what was required of him from the beginning. and said i'll do it because he could only se the benefits. he loved this company so much. He'd do anything for it. literally a week after learning hes going to half to kill people. he makes the perfect plan of well, killing the person that matters most to him so that way when time comes for the others, he won't care as much. Its....a difficult task but, Wiatt still enjoys helping him out! Lewis had made sure that none of the people he would kill would stay dead. and would spend their afterlife's both aiding him, and hopefully doing something mildly enjoyable.

Wtdw AU: DnD
Like it's just one big game of dnd and everyone's actually okay and alive just playing the WTDW story as a game of dnd in an arcade.
Sara's usually the DM and sometimes that changes between Lewis and Oliver, but they all play by the story they made a while back.
Damian is usually brought in by Oliver every once in a while and Ben and Liz join constantly.
The triplets were at the arcade a bit before the campaign started, they asked if they could join and were accepted in and play whenever they're at the arcade.
Eric was invited to join and asked if he could bring Carely along, and they both joined.
Alyssa and Mike both work at the arcade on weekdays and play when they have free time.
The three that play Lorenzo, Nightlight, and Gruff are Sara's friends and the one who plays Nightlight was babysitting Hazel at the arcade, Hazel asked to join and was let in, Sara still plays Millie.
Norman's still Sara's partner and Andrew is a friend of Normans, Norman and Andrew don't play but created their characters for the DM to use.
Everyone else is NPCs that were based of people Lewis, Wiatt, Sara, and Oliver knew. Litho, Agnus, and Alison are all based off different stories and myths they were told as children. The campaigns main story was based off a nightmare that Sara had. Celio's still just Celio here and doesn't mind being put into the story.
Rainbott is exactly the same as they are IRL and in the campaign, still a friend of Wiatts.

Nothing Bad Happens Chap. 3- Possessed
Here’s more of my fun AU! Ready to see how Winnie and Litho play out? Don’t worry it won’t be THAT bad, but that depends on how you see it.
Big thanks to @gigilefache for being my beta reader!
Enjoy!
After a wild day and the sun had been set for a while, 10PM rolled around and the facility closed up for the day. Waitt was getting ready to leave, but not before being stopped by Lewis and Oliver. “So, Wiatt, where are you staying?” Lewis asked. “You're welcome to come live with the three of us.”
“It’s alright, I’ve gotten an apartment not too far from here.” Wiatt replied.
“Well, feel free to visit. It will be like old times when you came over while we worked on our projects.” Oliver offered.
“I will.” Wiatt saw only two of the three founders were leaving. “Wait, where’s Sara?”
“She likes to stay overtime once in a while.” Lewis explained. “She says she’s working on more projects, but is keeping what they are secret.”
Wiatt raised an eyebrow, feeling suspicious about this. “Uh… I see.” He replied.
“Yeah, she told us for now she needs alone time, but plans on telling us soon.” Oliver explained.
“Alright.” Wiatt grabbed his phone and looked at it, almost like he was waiting for a text from someone. “I’m still waiting on my ride, so I’ll relax here for a bit.”
“You sure?” Lewis asked.
Wiatt nodded in reply.
Lewis frowned, not wanting to leave Wiatt alone. “Well, just call me in case your ride doesn’t show up. I’ll come back to pick you up.” He said.
“Okay.” Wiatt replied.
“See you tomorrow, Wiatt!” Oliver said, waving goodbye. Wiatt waved goodbye to the two in turn. Once he saw they were truly gone he decided to go to Sara’s office.
Quietly, he walked through the halls of the employee area and saw Sara’s office door slightly, ajar. Slowly and carefully, he saw Sara talking with a Pegasus animatronic.
Wiatt remembered seeing the posters around the facility featuring this specific animatronic, but didn’t see him in the official lineup. Maybe he’s meant to be a future animatronic.
“You know Sara, I’m still surprised you found a loophole in all this.” The animatronic said. “You know the goal is to kill to use the soul!”
Wiatt’s eyes widened hearing the word kill. Sara wasn’t seriously trying to kill Lewis, was she? Or was it him? He decided to listen more to this conversation.
“Winnie, I’m not going to kill in order to achieve immortality. Everything has a loophole, and I found my own.” Sara explained.
Winnie growled, “Litho isn’t going to be happy once he finds out.”
“Too bad!” Sara exclaimed.
Wiatt’s eyes widened. The name Litho sounded familiar to him, but where had he heard it from.
“You know, I shouldn’t tell you this, but I should. your-” Sara was cut off as she cried out in pain. Wiatt saw a black shadow appear behind Sara and merge into her body. She then collapsed to the ground. Seconds later, Sara got up, but now her eyes were red.
Wiatt gasped, but covered his mouth not wanting to be heard by Winnie and Sara.
“Oh Litho, don’t you know it’s rude to interrupt someone when they're in a conversation.” Winnie remarked.
Litho, possessing Sara’s body, brushed himself off. “Oh Winnie. Do you know it’s rude to talk to your boss like that?” Litho mimicked Sara’s voice. “Now where was I…” Litho thought, before snapping his fingers, “oh yeah, Sara seemed to mess with our plans.”
“So what do you think we should do? I mean we can kill them.” Winnie suggested.
“No!” Litho shouted. “Sara used a bit of their soul, which means the animatronics are linked with them.” Litho went through all of Sara’s paperwork hoping he could find something to destroy the link between the animatronic and their human.
Wiatt went to his bag, took out his camera, and videotaped the situation.
Litho went through paper after paper, but nothing about how to break the link of Sara’s loophole. “Nothing! She has nothing!” He shouted.
“You know, you're in Sara’s body! Can’t you go into her memories and find out where she puts them?” Winnie asked.
Litho glared, “what do you think I’m doing? Just shoving papers from her desk like it’s nothing! I am looking through her memories, you piece of scrap metal!” He yelled.
“Ah! Ah! Ah!” Winnie warned. “Your temper could lure someone here.”
Wiatt’s eyes widened as Winnie glanced at the hallway. Luckily, Wiatt was hidden well. He got enough footage for now. Wiatt quickly put his camera away, and ran out just as Winnie opened the door.
“Odd I sensed someone here.” Winnie said, seeing no one. He closed the door and decided to help Litho find those notes.
Wiatt ran as fast he as could until he made it back to his apartment. It was about a 10 minute walk, but with how fast he ran it felt like he made it there in five minutes. Once inside, he dashed to his room and went through his notes to find any information about Litho. It took a while, but he was able to find something.
“Alright, time to learn more about you, Litho.” Wiatt said. He turned his laptop on while looking at the notes he had laid out, and started his research.

👻🎶💤
starlight or lewis or both! it's up to you dude
I’m going to do Starlight just because I find the thought of an Animatronic screaming at something funny.
👻- Hc about something that scares them-👻
So I’m not nearly as feral for WtDW as my family, but I am a casual enjoyer. So some of these might be cannon, and some might go against, but they arnt called Head cannons for nothing!
A fear of being trapped, pinned, or being unable to move. I think this one was more like claustrophobia when he was Lewis, but now being a dramatic theater gay who doesn’t have to walk? He hates the idea of being stuck somewhere.
I’m going to say it’s the Starlight Animatronic not having good wiring in the legs, just so he isn’t as pathetic, but having a worse control of his limbs, and not being able to feel them as well. He’s afraid of losing them. A big part of Stars programming is acting, and you need your whole body to do that. (I belive) He also feels the pain of losing the limb. So losing or having any part of him trapped causes Star to panic.
Spiders, both from the collector, and because he’s close enough to the ceiling to run into every single one of their webs.
Also because they (at least once) crawled into one of his masks and spun a web.
metaphor about Sara and spiders or something
🎶-Hc for music -🎶
Because he’s stuck in what would essentially be Elementary school theater, you bet he knows so many songs.
Being the only performer (besides volunteers), I think Star spends his free time reading what scripts he can gets his hands on. And Musicals!
Shakespeare us something he preforms either alone or to Waitt (if he asks). Grease, Hairspray, Heathers and others.
Accidentally teaches Ribbon the song that never ends. Regrets it.
Star definitely taught everyone Disney songs, and taught Glory some soothing ones. (He may or may not have dropped the lyrics of a love song or two in a potentially dangerous place for Rex to find)
Being the theater twink he is, sings sad love songs before Waitt shows up. And then switched to slightly homosexual ones once he arrived.
Once Star confirmed himself to be Lewis, Waitt definitely showed him all the new stuff that had came out from his favorite singers.
Practices serenading Waitt.
💤-Hc about sleep-💤
Theater twink has nightmares
In full HD.
With his experience in dying, loss of Waitt, and possible view of other murders. His mind comes up with some pretty disturbing stuff.
Although I don’t think animatronics Sleep per say, they definitely dream. Going though his visual storage and deleting anything that’s unimportant, is something that happens.
As well as the manipulation of said viewings. The human mind is a strange thing. And a machines ability to remember is unparalleled.

While Lewis was showing Wiatt the Staract, the other founder of DWE, Sara, was typing away on her computer. A knock was heard at the door as she was working.
“Come in,” Sara said.
The door opened, revealing to be Oliver, another of Dreamworld’s Founders. “H-Hey Sara.” Oliver stuttered.
“Oliver!” Sara exclaimed, seeing her best friend nervous. “What’s going on? You okay?”
“Y-Yeah, just, umm…” Oliver trailed off, nervous about what to say to Sara.
Sara sighed, as much as Oliver was her best friend, she didn’t like how nervous Oliver would get when it came to sharing news with her. “Oliver, we're friends, you don’t have to be nervous sharing anything with me.” She reassured him.
“Not even if it’s about…” Oliver started, before mumbling Wiatt’s name.
“Sorry, what was that?” Sara asked.
“Even if it’s about…Wiatt.” Oliver repeated, sounding a bit louder.
“Can you say it a little louder?” Sara asked once again.
“Even if it’s about Wiatt,” Oliver repeated once more. This time louder, like Sara requested.
Sara’s smile dropped, hearing Wiatt’s name. She hadn’t heard that name in weeks and thought Lewis had forgotten all about him. However, he’s finally at Dreamworld Entertainment. “You mean the Wiatt we met in high school? The Wiatt who Lewis dated?”
“Is there any other Wiatt we know of?” Oliver asked.
Sara sighed and tried to calm down. After a few deep breaths, she asked Oliver again. “Why is Wiatt here?” She asked.
Oliver was about to speak up when Lewis came in with Wiatt. “Because I want to work here!” Wiatt replied, giving a smug smile.
Oliver and Sara turned to see their old schoolmate show up, which made Sara glare at him while Oliver gave a nervous smile.
“Hey, Oliver!” Wiatt beamed, before turning to Sara and glaring at her, “Sara.”
“Wiatt,” Sara replied, doing the same.
The two stared at one another as Oliver and Lewis felt the tension between their friends. It was so bad it couldn’t be cut with a knife. “W-What do we do?” Oliver whispered to Lewis.
“Same as we always do,” Lewis whispered back. He then clapped his hands and let out a nervous chuckle. Sara and Wiatt turned to face their friend. “Well isn’t this a nice reunion!”
Sara and Wiatt glanced at each other before glaring at Lewis. They knew he was trying to break the tension, but Lewis wasn’t gonna give up.
Lewis’s smile dropped as he groaned, “Well I tried, darling.” He said to Oliver.
Seeing her friend disappointed, Sara sighed, “I guess I have no choice.” She started. “Welcome to the Dream Team, Wiatt.”
Wiatt chuckled, “Dream Team?” He asked.
“D-Don’t laugh!” Sara shouted, feeling offended. “I think it’s a good name for our Dreamworld employees.”
“I agree with her,” Oliver spoke up.
Sara smiled proudly seeing her best friend agreed with her.
“Well then,” Lewis interrupted. “Let’s get you into uniform, darling!” He put his arms around Wiatt and took him to the employee uniform room to find a good uniform for Wiatt.
Sara decided to go first to help pick out Wiatt’s uniform and decided to go for Cheer’s uniform, which was a pink shirt decaled with a yellow and neon green lightning bolt and pink pants.
However, Wiatt didn’t look like he enjoyed the uniform one bit.
“There! You look great, Wiatt.” Sara complimented.
Wiatt glared at her, “Sara, this is more your choice of color.” He said.
Sara looked at her friends who agreed with Wiatt. She groaned, and soon Oliver spoke up, “My turn I guess.”
Oliver gave Wiatt a Ribbondancer uniform, which was green with different color patterns over it, as well as a pair of dark green pants. Wiatt preferred this uniform, but it still wasn’t something he would wear.
“I think this is better, don’t you agree?” Oliver asked.
Lewis and Sara looked at one another both agreeing that the shade of green wasn’t Wiatt’s color.
Oliver frowned knowing his friends didn’t like it. “You don’t like it, do you?” He asked.
“Well…” Sara and Lewis said at the same time, both trailing off as they tried to think of something nice to not upset their friend. The two let out words like, “It’s okay, it’s fine, or it’s green.”
Oliver wasn’t convinced knowing they were just trying to be nice. Wiatt saw how disappointed Oliver looked, and decided to speak up. “It’s nice, but I’d like to try on one more uniform before making my decision.”
Lewis knew he hadn’t helped Wiatt pick out a uniform yet, and he had an idea of what the perfect uniform and position Wiatt could have. “Leave it to me, darling, I got the perfect uniform for you.” He said, taking Wiatt’s hand and taking him deeper into the closet.
It took a few minutes, but soon Lewis came out with Wiatt wearing a Starlight-themed uniform. This uniform was a vest split into teal and yellow over a white shirt with rolled-up sleeves, a pair of dark blue pants, and a dark blue and orange cap over his head.
“Sara and Oliver, meet Dreamworld’s newest mechanic!” Lewis introduced as Wiatt stepped up smiling.
“Hey, looking good Wiatt!” Oliver exclaimed.
“Thanks! This seems perfect for me!” Wiatt replied.
“See, I know what you like darling,” Lewis said.
Wiatt and Lewis shared a laugh, which made Sara glare at the two. Oliver saw his friend’s glare and got up and went to his best friend and his best friend’s boyfriend. “Well,” Oliver spoke up, “shouldn’t we introduce Wiatt to the rest of the group?”
“Oh! Of course!” Lewis exclaimed. “Wiatt, let me introduce you to everyone.”
“Thanks, Lewis,” Wiatt replied. The two walked out of the dressing room, talking with one another.
“It’s nice to see these two together again,” Oliver said.
Sara quickly changed her expression and gave a false smile, “Y-yeah. It’s nice.” She lied.
Oliver smiled and followed Lewis and Wiatt out of the dressing room.
Once he was gone, Sara frowned and turned away. She didn’t like Wiatt being here one bit, it brought back the painful memories and anxiety over losing Lewis. She almost lost him once due to her stupid ideas, and now his boyfriend is back in town.
“Don’t worry Sara, I’m here.” A deep voice whispered as red eyes appeared behind her.
Soon, Lewis and Oliver watched as Wiatt talked with the other Dreamworld workers. Everyone seemed to get along with Wiatt well.
Starlight was passing by and saw Wiatt with the other workers. “I see Wiatt is getting along great with everyone.”
“He is,” Lewis replied.
Starlight saw Lewis frown and turn away from Wiatt before walking off. “I thought he would be happy seeing his boyfriend back.” He pointed out.
“Ex-boyfriend.” Oliver corrected.
Starlight’s eyes widened, “pardon?” He asked.
“Wiatt and Lewis broke up two years ago. Sure they kept in contact, but the two haven’t been in a relationship in two years.” Oliver explained.
Starlight frowned and looked at Wiatt before turning to Lewis who was now entering the employee-only entrance.
~~~~~~~~~~
Not to drop spoilers, but that whole scene with Oliver picking out Wiatt’s uniform and choosing green was written before episode 1 dropped!
Also, have a Happy Holidays and New Year's everyone!!!
Nothing Bad Happens Chap. 1-Alright
Hi everyone! Here is a new WTDW Fanfic!!!!
So, for being in fandoms for a LONG time I’ve seen my fair share of “Nothing Bad Happens” AU’s. I figured Welcome to Dreamworld should deserve that treatment. However, I never came up with a good name for the AU, so we’re calling it Nothing Bad Happens for now.
I’ve had this AU since WTDW episode 5 or 6 so it’s been in my head for a while, but I recently started writing it because I had a bunch of other stories being worked on plus life stuff.
Big thanks as always to my beta readers, @gigilefache and @mun-auroralore!
Enjoy!
The Dreamworld Entertainment Facility, an entertainment center where kids don’t have to feel alone.
This is the facility where a young man named Wiatt Nicholson stood. He heard about this place for a while now; his boyfriend, Lewis Bright was one of the founders of this facility. The two made a promise when Lewis left to build it with his two best friends.
If you stop calling me, you know I’m coming back to find you.
Wiatt hadn’t heard from Lewis in over a week, and now was more than ever ready to run to the facility and check to see if his boyfriend was alive and well.
However, he was scared. Scared that when he opened the door he would be welcomed by everyone saying Lewis is gone.
“I can’t do this,” Wiatt said to himself.
He was about to walk away from the facility and drive back home-but stopped, realizing that he had driven a couple of hours from his grandfather’s mansion. Plus, he kept his promise of coming to find Lewis and he was gonna do just that.
Wiatt sighed and pushed open the door, hearing the sound of arcade games and kids laughing and having fun. Slowly stepping in, he looked around-and froze, seeing a familiar sight in front of him.
It was Lewis.
Lewis was talking with some workers and sharing a laugh. He had slicked-back, light brown hair with a few fringes hanging over his face, green eyes, and oval glasses. He wore a light blue vest over a white dress shirt, black dress pants, and black dress shoes.
Wiatt smiled, seeing Lewis was safe and happy. However, he soon frowned, not understanding why Lewis hadn’t called him in a week.
Taking a deep breath, he entered and walked up behind Lewis.
“Uh, hi I’m looking for a Lewis Bright,” Wiatt spoke up.
Lewis froze, recognizing the voice. He slowly turned around, eyes widened after seeing Wiatt.
After a few years of not seeing each other in person, he was here.
“W-Wiatt?” Lewis asked, surprised.
Wiatt nodded. “Told ya, I’d come find you if you stopped texting.”
The workers stepped back and decided to give the founder some alone time with his boyfriend.
The two stood there awkwardly not sure what to say to each other.
“So…” Lewis started.
“So…” Wiatt repeated.
“You're probably wondering why I haven’t texted you for a while,” Lewis said.
Wiatt nodded. He took a look at Lewis and saw he was fine, no wounds, just tired. “Did Sara stop you from talking to me?” he asked.
“No, darling!” Lewis yelled, reassuring his boyfriend. He sighed and looked around to make sure no one could hear, “If I tell you, you promise you won’t tell?”
“Lewis, what’s going on?” Wiatt asked again, now worried.
Lewis took Wiatt’s hand and dragged him to the elevator. Wiatt stuttered and complained to Lewis about dragging him, and not telling him the reason why Lewis stopped answering his texts. Once inside, Lewis pressed the button to the Staract.
As the elevator went down, Wiatt was able to talk.
“Lewis, what the fuck is going on?! You're not telling me anything!” he shouted.
Lewis sighed. “It’s best I show you, darling,” he replied.
The bell on the elevator rang, and the doors opened.
“Follow me,” Lewis said.
Wiatt sighed and followed him to a theater.
Once there, Lewis turned on the spotlights for the stage, and soon, a star animatronic came down.
“L-Lewis, what is this?!” Wiatt asked, frightened.
Soon, the star animatronic opened his eyes and smiled at Wiatt. “Why, hello, darling. I’m Starlight.”
Wiatt’s mouth dropped, and his glasses fell on the bridge of his nose. He stammered out words to Lewis- who stood there chuckling nervously.
“W-What’s so funny about this, Lewis?!” Wiatt yelled. “Why does this animatronic talk like you?! A-Am I talking to an imposter?”
“Wiatt! Wiatt, calm down!” Lewis reassured his boyfriend.
Wiatt was breathing heavily, trying to calm down. After taking one slow, deep breath, he was officially calm.
“Is he okay, Lewis?” Starlight asked.
“He’ll be fine,” Lewis replied. He cleared his throat and put his arm around Wiatt. “This Starlight. Starlight, this is Wiatt Nicholas, my boyfriend.”
Starlight moved closer.
Wiatt saw Starlight move via a support beam on his back as the animatronic stopped just a few inches near him.
Starlight smiled and held his hand out. “Pleasure to meet you, Wiatt.”
Wiatt looked at Starlight’s hand and back at the animatronic. before shaking his hand.
“Lewis, are you gonna tell me what’s going on, now?” Wiatt asked.
Lewis nodded. “Well for starters, Sara did have something to do with this,” he started.
Wiatt groaned. He knew Sara had given him a weird vibe since he first met her. “What did she do?” he asked.
“This might sound crazy, but during the early days of building Dreamworld Entertainment. Sara acted… weird,” Lewis started.
“Like always,” Wiatt grumbled.
“Huh?” Lewis asked.
“Nothing!” Wiatt lied.
Lewis rolled his eyes. “Anyways, Sara was trying to create immortality-”
“Create what now?!” Wiatt shouted.
“Let me finish, Wiatt,” Lewis groaned, “but yes, I thought what she was thinking was crazy too, until…”
His voice trailed off, not wanting to tell Wiatt what Sara did to him. “... she found a way to take a part of my soul and put it into Starlight.”
Wiatt put his hands together and took a deep breath, before letting it out. “May I ask how she did that?” she asked.
Lewis and Starlight looked at each other, and both chuckled at the same time.
“It’s complicated, darling,” Starlight answered.
Wiatt opened his mouth, but he stopped and decided not to ask. Seeing Lewis okay was enough to know what Sara did didn’t kill him.
“It doesn’t matter,” Wiatt said. He walked up to Lewis and hugged him. “I’m just glad you're alright, Lewis.”
Lewis blushed and smiled, hugging Wiatt back. “Y-Yeah.”
Starlight sniffled as his scarlet mask went on. “Aww, you two are so cute together!” he cried. He then grabbed the two and hugged them tight.
Wiatt and Lewis giggled, still blushing.
“Yep! He’s definitely you, Lewis!” Wiatt commented.
Lewis chuckled. “Me, but more of a theater kid!”
The three shared a laugh- before Wiatt got an idea.
“I’ve been thinking, are you hiring right now?” He asked.
“Of course, we’re always hiring,” Lewis replied. Soon his eyes widened, knowing Wiatt was planning something. “Why?”
“Because I wanna work here,” Wiatt answered.
Dreamers of Myths & Legends Chap. 1-The First Step to Adventure!
Here it is! My newest WTDW AU! Someone should stop me before I make 50 more AUs!
Here it is! My newest WTDW AU! Someone should stop me before I make 50 more AUs!
So because I’ve been a lover of Pokemon, I always love to make Pokemon AU’s for my hyper fixations and was nervous to create one for WTDW, though I told myself if I did it would sway away from the collect gym badges and battle trainers and more along the lines of Wiatt and the Founder Trio traveling all over the Pokemon world and exploring.
Then Pokemon Day happened and upon seeing the news something clicked in my brain and it told me to do this! So I did and ended up with a bunch of pages of ideas on what randomness Wiatt and The Founder Trio would do as well as bringing in some familiar Pokemon faces.
This is made for all in good fun and to just share my love for both Pokemon and Welcome to Dreamworld!
BIG thanks to @gigilefache for being my beta reader!
Enjoy!
Morning came as the sun rose throughout the land. A bit of sunlight sipped through the window of the house that belonged to a young trainer named Wiatt Nicholson.
The sunlight hit Eevee in the face, which caused him to yawn and stretch before turning to his trainer, who was still asleep. “Vee.” Eevee groaned. He went over to his sleeping trainer and used his paw to wake up his trainer.
Wiatt groaned and turned around wanting to sleep more. “Oddity, not right now.” He groaned.
The Eevee, nicknamed Oddity by his trainer, gave a pout as he tried to wake up his trainer again. He tried using his paws to nudge his trainer, jumping on the bed, and even pulling the blanket with his teeth.
Wiatt shivered as he tried to grab the blanket, but Oddity kept it away from him. “Oddity, give it back.” The boy groaned.
“Vee!” Oddity growled, pulling the blanket some more.
The boy growled and tried to reach over for the blanket, but the Eevee kept it away from him. Wiatt tried and tried reaching for the blanket only to fall off his bed with a thud.
Oddity flinched, dropping the blanket, and jumping off the bed to check on his trainer. “Eevee?” Oddity asked.
Wiatt rubbed his head and looked over at his partner. “Oddity, why did you do that?” He asked, as he reached for his glasses and put them on.
“Eevee! Vee!” Oddity exclaimed, pointing at the clock.
The boy looked up at the clock and saw the time change from 7:04 to 7:05.
“Oh, I guess today is the day isn’t it Oddity?” Wiatt asked.
“Eevee!” Oddity exclaimed.
The boy got up and got dressed out of his pajamas into something more comfortable. He wore a dark blue t-shirt with a star on it, a yellow-orange vest, brown jeans, and teal and white sneakers. He went over to his drawer and took out a blue cap with pink, white, and blue stars stitched on the side. Finally, he brushed his messy brown hair.
Oddity smiled, wagging his tail and holding a red scarf in his mouth. Wiatt smiled and put the scarf around his neck.
“Okay! Now we’re ready to go!” Wiatt exclaimed, getting his brown and white bag on.
“Eevee!” Oddity exclaimed.
Wiatt opened the door from his home, and two rushed out and headed straight to the start of their newest adventure.
That’s me, Wiatt Nicholson, I’m 17 years old and starting my days as a Pokémon Researcher with my partner Eevee whom I named Oddity. This is how our story begins with new friends and an adventure that awaits us!
Meanwhile, three young trainers were starting their journey too; they appeared to be around the same age as Wiatt. These trainers have been best friends for years.
The only female of the group, Sara Covetman, had brown hair tied into a bun with a pink streak on her bangs and pink eyes. Her outfit was a lilac sweater over a pink shirt, a pink scalloped tiered skirt, long pink and white socks, and pink sneakers. Her shoulder bag was pink with a huge light pink ribbon on the front
The first male of the group, Lewis Bright, had slicked back light brown hair with a few fringes hanging over his face, large round glasses over his green eyes, and a blue beanie with yellow and blue star pins on it. He wore a light blue vest over a long white-sleeved shirt, dark blue pants, and blue and black shoes.
Finally, the last male, Oliver Acrimony, was a bit taller than the two and had long messy orange hair tied into a ponytail and bright blue eyes. He wore a purple sweater over a black and white striped shirt, black pants, and purple sneakers.
“I can’t believe today is the day!” Sara exclaimed.
“It sure is, darling,” Lewis replied. “I’m excited to see the new facility Eric told us about.”
“Y-Yeah.” Oliver stuttered. “I wonder what kind of research we’ll be doing?”
Lewis turned to see a Cleffa and a Deerling playing with one another in a nearby field. “It’s a big world out there, who knows what we'll discover.” He said. “New Pokemon, new regions, and who knows maybe new friends.”
Back with Wiatt and Oddity, the two were racing each other to see who could get to the research facility first. Oddity started to take the lead, but Wiatt stepped up and kept on running to pass his Eevee.
The Evolution Pokemon saw Lewis and his friends up ahead and stopped to call out his trainer to slow down.
Wiatt chuckled, turning back to his Eevee. “What’s wrong, Oddity, afraid to lose?” He asked.
“Eevee! Vee!” Oddity yelled, telling Wiatt to look ahead.
However, he didn’t listen and instead ran into Lewis and his friends causing the four to fall to the ground. They let out a groan as Wiatt got up and rubbed his head.
“S-Sorry.” Wiatt apologized.
“It’s fine darling. We’re…” Lewis paused as he got up and stared into Wiatt’s eyes. “Okay.”
Wiatt stared back and blushed a bit and soon the other boy did the same. “I-I’m glad.” He replied.
The two kept staring at one another as Oddity looked back between his trainer and Lewis wondering what was going on between the two.
“H-Hey!” Sara yelled as she pushed off her friend, and got up. “Why don’t you watch where you're going!”
“S-Sorry,” Wiatt replied. “I’m Wiatt Nicholson by the way.”
“Lewis, I’m Lewis Bright!” Lewis exclaimed in reply. “These are my two best friends Oliver and Sara.”
Oliver gave a nervous chuckle and waved, “Nice to meet you, Wiatt.” He replied.
Wiatt smiled until he felt Oddity nudged his leg. “Oh, by the way, this is Oddity, my Eevee.”
“Eevee!” Oddity exclaimed.
Lewis kneeled and petted the normal-type Pokemon. “Well, isn't he adorable,” He said.
“Vee,” Oddity replied.
“So where are you two going?” Lewis asked.
“We’re going to the new research facility that opened up near Celadon City,” Wiatt replied.
Lewis smiled and widened, “Well you're in luck!” He exclaimed. “The three of us are going there as well.”
“If you like, you can come with us,” Oliver added. “I mean if it's okay with you.”
Wiatt smiled, “of course!” He replied.
“Vee! Eevee!” Oddity cheered.
With that Wiatt followed the three to Celadon City. However, Sara felt uncomfortable traveling with the newbie in their friend group but decided not to show it in hopes of pleasing her friends.
Near Celadon City, a large building sat on top of a hill that overlooked the said city as well as the neighboring cities around the route. Looking out the window, was Eric Gale, a man with light brown hair, with the front part turning gray, and brown eyes, who was nervous about his students being lost.
Unlike most professors, he didn’t wear a lab coat. Instead, he wore a comfortable green hoodie with a blue heart on the right side.
His daughter, Carly, a young girl with dark skin, brown hair with the underside dyed pink, and green eyes wearing a pink shirt, light pink pants, and multi-colored pink and purple shoes, walked on by seeing her father nervous. “Relax dad, I’m sure they’re on their way.” She reassured him.
Eric sighed, “I know. I just hope they didn’t get lost or what if some wild Pokemon attacked them.”
Carly gave a concerning smile and put her hand on her dad’s shoulder. “Hey, you know those three. They’re gonna be fine.”
Eric gave a small smile, “I hope. I just know they don’t have Pokémon with them.”
Carly’s smile turned into a frown and turned away, “Well that’s their loss then.” She mumbled.
“Huh?” Eric asked, wondering what his daughter had said. Soon he saw three familiar faces as well as a new one arriving at the front of the facility. Eric sighed seeing his students had arrived safely.
“Here we are!” Lewis exclaimed.
“That’s Mr. Gale’s facility?” Wiatt asked.
“Yep! We were there when he was building it, and now we’re finally working as researchers.” Sara explained. “Although, I don’t know why Eric chose you to be a researcher with us.”
Wiatt went to his bag and took out an envelope, “Well Mr. Gale sent me this letter a week ago.” He explained. “Guess he needed an extra hand with the facility.”
Sara took the envelope from Wiatt’s hand and read it through. To her surprise, it was Eric’s handwriting and nothing Wiatt forged. She looked up from the letter glaring at Wiatt, before shoving it back at him.
“Well we're here now, let’s go in,” Sara said, walking up the steps to the facility.
Wiatt glared at her but felt Oliver’s hand on his shoulder. “Don’t worry about her, she’s like this…sometimes.” He said, his gaze turning away from Sara.
“Don’t worry darling, she’ll warm up to you,” Lewis said, nudging the other boy.
Wiatt gave a small smile as the three guys decided to catch up to Sara who was already at the front door. “Eric! We’re here!” Sara exclaimed, knocking on the door.
The door slowly opened, but instead of Eric, an Aipom wearing a multicolored ribbon answered the door.
“Aipom?” Aipom asked, tilting his head.
“Ridley?” Sara asked as she looked around for Eric. “Where’s Eric?”
“Right here,” Eric said coming to the door. “I’m glad you guys made it!”
The group smiled as they walked inside the facility. “Welcome the four of you to the Gale Research Facility!” He exclaimed.
Ridley cheered on to welcome the guest as well.
“Now you're probably wondering why I called you four here?” Eric asked.
Lewis nodded, “you needed help with the facility, correct?” He asked.
Eric nodded, “Right, and I picked the three best students to help me out.”
Lewis and his friends smiled knowing Eric was talking about them.
Wiatt being the odd one out spoke up, “Um… I know Lewis, Sara, and Oliver knew you as they were your students, but why me?” He asked.
“Well, your father was one of my colleagues. After he left on his journey, he told me he would like for you to be one of my researchers when I opened the facility.” Eric explained.
Wiatt’s eyes widened hearing that as he gave a small smile. His father left for his journey three years ago and hadn’t returned. Heck, he didn’t even tell Wiatt where he was going in the first place.
“I see. Makes sense.” Wiatt replied.
Eric smiled. “Now, are you four ready?” He asked. The four nodded and followed Eric to the heart of the facility.
The group was in awe seeing the heart of the facility. It was a large room with a giant computer showing a map of the entire Pokémon World.
“Here is where you guys will be researching the Pokemon World,” Eric said. “This map here shows the entire world, and where your field research tasks will take place.”
“Field Research?” Wiatt asked.
“Basically, the map will let you know what your guy's mission is,” Carly spoke up as she came into the room.
“Correct. Thank you, Carly.” Eric said. Seeing that Wiatt hadn’t met her yet, the professor decided to introduce the two, “Oh Wiatt, this is my daughter Carly.”
Carly smiled, “So you're the fourth researcher I heard about.”
Waitt nodded in reply.
 Seeing a new friend, Oddity decided to run and introduce himself. “Eevee!” Oddity exclaimed.
Soon, Carly froze before screaming and backing into a corner. This confused the four new researchers.
“Uh is Carly scared of Eevee?” Wiatt asked.
“Pokémon actually.” Eric said with a sigh, “She’s developed a fear of them.”
“Ai! Aipom.” Ridley added, almost saying “It’s true.”
“D-Dad. I like Pokémon. I just…don’t like them up close.” Carly corrected, nervously admitting her fear of them.
Oddity was confused tilting his head, “Vee?”
Wiatt picked up Oddity and held him close. He did give one more glance to Carly who sighed as she left the room to cool off.
“Sorry about it. I’ve been trying to help her get over it.” Eric said.
“It’s fine. You're doing your best.” Lewis reassured him, smiling at the professor.
Eric then moved on to the next thing and pulled out a tray with four smartphones. The colors of these phones were pink, cyan, green, and yellow. “These are your Rotom phones. It doubles as your Pokedex as well as where you’ll be able to track your field research.”
The four took the Rotom Phone of their favorite color; Pink for Sara, cyan for Lewis, green for Oliver, and yellow for Wiatt.
Upon grabbing them, their Rotom Phones turned on and they smiled in glee.
Next Eric took them to the mess hall, which caused Oddity and Ridley's eyes to widen seeing some of the food left out on the table. “This is where you guys will be enjoying your meals,” Eric explained.
Ridley quickly went in took an apple from the fruit bowl and split it in half to share with Oddity.
“Eevee! Vee!” Oddity replied by taking half the apple and eating it. Oddity wagged his tail as he squealed in delight.
Finally, Eric took the four to their room. “This here is your room.”
The room had two bunk beds and it had a balcony view of the town. The four went inside and Lewis and Oliver took the bunk on the left. “Darling, do you want the top or bottom bunk?” Lewis asked.
“I-I’ll talk bottom bunk,” Oliver replied.
Lewis smiled as he was about to climb the top bunk only to be interrupted by bickering from Sara and Wiatt.
“I’m taking the top bunk!” Wiatt argued, pushing Sara down.
“No, I want it!” Sara argued back, as she struggled with Wiatt to get to the top bunk.
Lewis and Oliver sighed knowing those two would be arguing forever. The bickering duo kept arguing about why they should get the top bunk. However, the two shared a laugh knowing their group had gotten more lively now.
“You wanna rock, paper, scissors for it!?” Sara asked, yelling.
“Fine by me!” Wiatt answered, having his hand out.
“Ready?” Sara asked. “Rock, paper…” Before she could say scissors, she took her fist and hit Wiatt on the head.
“Ow!” Wiatt exclaimed.
Sara chuckled, “I win!” She beamed as she climbed up the top bunk.
Wiatt glared already done with Sara’s behavior for the day. However, he smiled seeing Oddity had made himself comfortable in the bottom bunk.
“Alright, guess we’ll take the bottom then.” Wiatt sighed.
“Well, I’ll let you guys get comfortable, and then meet me back at the mess hall for dinner,” Eric said before closing the door.
“Okay!” Lewis beamed.
The rest of the day the four unpacked, got their stuff put away, and relaxed. After dinner, Lewis stood outside the balcony watching the sunset.
“Hey,” Wiatt said as he came out onto the balcony. “Aren’t you gonna join us for dessert?”
“I will in a minute darling,” Lewis replied. “Just wanna watch the sunset and do some thinking that’s all.”
Wiatt walked closer to the other boy and decided to join him in watching the sunset. “Whatcha thinking about?” He asked.
“About what kind of journeys the four of us will go on,” Lewis exclaimed. “We’re going to be traveling all over, researching Pokémon, learning about the region they live in, everything.”
Wiatt smiled, agreeing with everything Lewis just said. “I wonder what new Pokemon we’ll get to see. Maybe legendaries or mythical Pokemon. There’s a lot of Pokemon out there.” He explained.
“It sure is darling,” Lewis said, putting his arms around Wiatt. “And we’re doing it together!”
Wiatt slightly blushed and nodded, “Right!” He exclaimed.
“Eevee!” Oddity exclaimed.
Wiatt and Lewis laughed seeing the Evolution Pokemon excited as well. Oliver and Sara came by looking at the two before being spotted by Lewis. The latter waved over to them to join the group.
Oliver took Sara’s hand and went up onto the balcony with Lewis and Wiatt. Sara gave a small smile to Wiatt before brushing it off when Oliver saw it, which made everyone laugh.
And so, Wiatt, Lewis, Sara, and Oliver start their Pokémon Journey as researchers. There they get to meet all kinds of Pokémon, travel to faraway places, and learn about the world around them. Who knows what these four are going to discover as their journey begins.
