Day 2 of LLE Animation Stuff. I've got a basic body sorted! I want to keep the limbs separate because I want them to look sorta toy-like because the scenes are going to be set up to look like a diorama.

Next up is going to be rigging it, then making changes to each of the models to make them look like each individual host.

Tom's Model will have a Baseball Cap, Long Hair, and Glasses.

With Ella's Model, I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do with it. Might go with a Pigeon sitting on her head?

Caroline's Model is my favorite idea so far. They'll have a little mushroom cap as a hat, as well as 2 little antennas on their forehead in reference to "The Bug" part of "CarolineTheBug".

Kinda excited to see how these turn out!

Let me also tell you about my new favourite podcast. It's Let's Learn Everything. By Tom Lum, Ella Hubber, and Caroline Roper. IT'S FUCKING AMAZING

It's singlehandedly completely managed to revive my love for science and motivation to keep going and researching and everything.

Things are progressing a bit slowly but steadily for sure. It's just three friends talking about science and learning and having fun. And it encapsulated everything I love about knowledge and academics and exactly why I want do do what I want to do and why I am as a person.

Just go check it out if you haven't already pls. If you love science and learning and randomly keeping facts about everything in your brain like I do. And then spewing them out to anybody willing to listen for more than half a second.

no but like seriously im so happy they saw the outcry from the fans and finally did something about it

im not gonna claim to have known how annoying and disheartening it mustve been to sit and wait THIS long for a response and I support all the people who still are critical of the show despite their statement because of their silence

the boys need to do better in the future even if their incorrect portrayals weren't malicious, their actions still have serious impacts and i genuinely hope this is a step in the right direction

as a poc myself im just happy to see both of them FINALLY be addressed as black! esp with new redesigns!!! (watching the black rose eps were so jarring when lizzie was described as blonde esp when trying to find refrence of what she looked like and being met with 4 different skin tones and hair textures from thumbnails and the wiki..... plus not to mention jazz's original refrence skin tone. )

even though ive only recently gotten back into jrwi a month or so ago to catch up on riptide it was really hard to have fun watching the episodes + the rolled with its whilst knowing they still hadn't addressed this stuff

I wish them the absolute best and hope they change for the better with representing minorities since i really fucking love this podcast and everyone in it :]

drove a stupid number of miles today with an injured gas pedal foot so i am not responding to messages tonight like i’d planned—i am the worst combination of tired and cranky rn, my answers would all be either rude or incoherent—but i just wanna say:

Day 8 (I think it's Day 8? I've lost track tbh.) of making the LLE hosts for animations! The 3 hosts have their base models completed! Some tweaks will need to be made, buuut, we're getting places gamers!

Still left to do:

More Expressions for their faces.

More Texturing/Detailing for the outfits.

Tweaking the Armature Weighting to avoid clipping geometry.

Optimizing the Modifiers (Mostly just applying Mirror/Solidify Modifiers. I'VE LEARNED MY LESSON ON APPLYING SUBSURFACE MODIFIERS.)

And once all that is done I'll be able to animate some scenes from my favorite podcast!
