What a difference 70 years makes juxtaposition of Chevrolet Corvette C1, 1954 & Chevrolet Corvette C8 E-Ray 3LZ, 2024. Exactly seven decades after the presentation of the first generation Corvette at their Motorama in New York City, General Motors have revealed the new hybrid version of the C8 Corvette. It becomes the fastest series production Corvette to date using a 160hp electric motor at the front and mid-mounted 495hp LT2 V8 providing a combined output of 655hp and 0-60mph in 2.5 Seconds with a standing quarter mile in 10.5 seconds. The car can be powered using the electric motor driving the front wheels only, though there is no plug-in functionality. The E-Ray relies on regenerative braking and internal combustion engine power to recharge the battery.

In almost all cases, manufacturers who choose to equip their cars with a V8 engine do so knowingly and deliberately. After all, such engines represent the first big step in crossing over a threshold to where performance becomes the sole focus; efficiency and economy are often not even invited as guests for a ride-along in the back seat.

With a quick glance at the back mirror, those pesky 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder engines begin to disappear into the horizon. The businessman feels compelled to resort to such measures because numerous individuals have approached his vehicle without permission, either to take photos with it or to peer inside through the windows. Some individuals even falsely claimed ownership of the car, prompting Sanker to take control back by activating his ingenious system.

Sanker proudly demonstrates his innovative idea on Instagram, where he regularly posts videos under the caption 'Don't touch my car'. The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is a highly sought-after sports car from the Chevrolet brand, known for its remarkable power and performance. New aFe Power MACH Force-Xp Exhaust System for Corvette C8

Over the last two decades, advanced FLOW engineering (aFe Power) has earned a solid reputation for manufacturing a comprehensive line of quality automotive performance upgrades. To this day, aFe’s product lineup includes more than 2,500 applications, which are all designed, developed, and manufactured in Corona, California. The brand has recently been hard at work upfitting the new mid-engine 2020 C8 Corvette. The new 6.2-liter LT2 engine is proving to respond quite well to power upgrades, and it’s safe to say that aFe is just getting started. That being said, the company has just announced the launch of its MACH Force-Xp Exhaust for the C8, now available for preorder.

The aFe MACH Force-XP Exhaust is constructed from TIG-welded, mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel for maximum strength and durability. It features a high-flow metallic black muffler, producing that deep American muscle tone that so many love. The aFe Muffler features an integrated x-pipe to balance and evenly distribute exhaust pulses traveling through the exhaust system, thus minimizing exhaust drone and maximizing scavenging. What’s more, the muffler also has a high-temperature metallic black finish for ultimate corrosion resistance. 

aFe’s performance exhaust system with NPP valves is for vehicles with the performance exhaust package while retaining factory AFM (Active fuel management) valve functions. The valves help regulate, direct, and control the flow of exhaust gases by opening, closing, and partially obstructing passageways (depending on throttle position) for optimal performance benefit. This direct bolt-on system is available with three styles of quad 4.5-inch tips in Carbon Fiber, Polished Stainless, or Ceramic Coated Black. No cutting or modifications are needed, making installation simple and straightforward. According to aFe’s in-house dyno, the MACH Force-Xp Exhaust for the C8 adds up to 9 horsepower and 10 pound-feet of torque, with no tuning necessary.

La Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray 2024 est une hybride performante toutes saisons.

Après beaucoup d'anticipation, GM a finalement lancé la Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray 2024. Il lui offre un groupe motopropulseur hybride, une transmission intégrale et des temps d'accélération plus rapides que la C8 Corvette Z06 axée sur la piste. La E-Ray emprunte le moteur atmosphérique V8 LT2 de 6,2 litres de la Corvette Stingray. Il produit 495 chevaux et 470 Nm de couple.
