i reread that other watcher wip i mentioned yesterday and man im sooooo. god. chewing on this version of watcher grian. hes so chewable i love him so much i have GOT to make sure this fic eventually sees the light of day i can't abandon it

also, hysterically, despite being a very different vibe and backstory than what i normally go with (aka, different than htbahb) i somehow managed to fall directly back into the same philosophical quandry of humanity that i spent the entirety of htbahb tackling. apparently, my brain just cannot let that go. however i approached it from the opposite angle this time

#basically #hbthab grian: isnt human but desperately trying to be on in any way shape or form. in denial that he isnt. literally wants nothing more #this version of grian: isnt human and is fine with that. does not consider himself a person anymore at all. much to mumbo's distress #this version of grian is so deeply in denial too though.#he keeps like. reaching out but then denying it because that's not something a watcher would do. so he's just pretending!#LIKE BUDDY YOUR WORLD VIEW IS SO SO BADLY SKEWED IM SHAKING YOU IN MY MOUTH LIKE AN ANIMAL #sorry. i just forgot how much i liked this particular version of grian i wrote in this wip.#he is so badly messed up.#however from the point the wips ends at and onward he's getting better #because i do have to get him to. um. the point where his personality is Normal #only to undo it a bit with the traffic series #seeing at the point of this oneshot was the traffic series #i dunno this is just a much more watchery grian than i normally write #watchery in that he like....wasnt entirely doing things against his will? that he did adopt their worldview a bit?
