BJP has appointed two Deputy Chief Ministers in Bihar. One of them is named Samrat Chaudhary, who belongs to the Koeri caste. Meanwhile, Lalu Yadav has appointed Abhay Kumar Sinha as the leader of his party's parliamentary group in the Lok Sabha, also belonging to the Koeri caste. BJP has nominated Upendra Kushwaha for the Rajya Sabha in place of Vivek Thakur, who is from a supporting party and also belongs to the Koeri caste. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has appointed Umesha Kushwaha as the state president of his party JD(U), who belongs to the Koeri caste as well. BJP, JD(U), RJD, the path of all three major parties in Bihar seems to lead collectively towards the Koeri community. So, what is special about the Koeris after all? Today on Bole Bharat, we will discuss, analyze, and delve into this trend and its strategy.

Spotlight: The Obi of Sakkō

On The Twelfth Day of Fun I present... another spotlight! Someone actually did an ask about iconic obi, and to me there's no obi more iconic than those worn during the sakkō period. While the sakkō outfits of each kagai may differ, there's one constant that remains the same: stunning obi with golden threads to celebrate the special occasion. Most tend to have white as a base, but others will incorporate other colors like beige, gold, taupe, or some shade close to gold. In other rare occasions you'll even see bold colors such as green or black; there's no strict rules when it comes to sakkō! Gold is the color of wealth and celebrations, so its abundance is auspicious and a wish for much luck in the future. The motifs on the obi tend to be auspicious as well, with karabana (imaginary flowers) being quite popular as they're both beautiful and unique as no two designs are identical. In some cases certain okiya will use the same outfits specifically for their sakkō periods, so we'll see certain obi used just for this period. Sometimes okiya will even use specific obi for specific naming lines if they have more than one under their roof. Other times okiya will choose their finest obi and pair it with their sakkō kimono. The combinations are almost endless and the traditions are unique from one okiya to the next, even within the same district! May 2019: Maiko Koeri (Hiroshimaya Okiya), Geiko Mameryū (Tama Okiya), Maiko Mameharu (Tama Okiya) and Maiko Mamesumi (Ninben Okiya) of Gion Kobu during the Miyako Odori Shūryō Hōgoku Matsuri.

The Miyako Odori Shūryō Hōgoku Matsuri takes place ever year on May 1st. During this event, the Maiko and Geiko of Gion Kobu gather at their local shrine to give thanks to their dance teachers for a successful Miyako Odori.

5. Do you have an idea for a story you don’t feel you can write at this current time? (Whether it be because life is busy right now, you need to do more research, etc.)

Well I have lots of ideas as of the moment. Most of them I can’t write because I still don’t have time and I’m choosing to focus on one fic at a time. So here are the following pending fics I have in mind.1.  Actor Shinichi and Model Ran AU-The idea just sounds cute. I still don’t have a solid idea as to what the whole story’s gonna be about. But I just wonder how Shinichi’s gonna be like if he dreamed to be an actor like his mom and since Ran in the canonverse has been getting a lot of model job offers, I’m wondering how it’s gonna be. Like these two in the show business and then working on a project together dealing with crazy paparazzi and fangirls. That’s just a few of the possibilities. hahaha2. Pre-ShinRan Yusaku-Yukiko and Kogoro-Eri-As I’ve said in one of my posts, I want more fanfics about the parents. For Yusaku and Yukiko, I’m thinking these two met in the film/theater industry. Yukiko being the beautiful rising actress who likes being the center of attention and Yusaku the strugglinig writer who’s working for mainstream to later create a work of art on his own. Yusaku could be a little too hard on Yukiko’s acting saying that she doesn’t embody the essence of the character the way he pictured it in his head even when everyone else is impressed by her performance. Yukiko being annoyed by Yusaku’s arrogance but eventually leading her to practice and practice and practice more, maybe even asking Yusaku to read lines with her and then the two of them getting carried away maybe even leading them to practice the kiss scene because their delivery was so intense. Then after the little incident, Yukiko would tell Yusaku that he could make a good actor but Yusaku shakes his head saying that he prefers to stay behind the scenes and that being a writer is his mere passion. (Hi I can relate hahahaha)For Kogoro-Eri, maybe exploring them pre-Ran and then when Ran came into their lives and then after the separation and their reconciliation after that. When I started writing TSOY, I’ve started being a sucker for reconciliation/post break up fics. Hahahah. I thinking, one of the problems Kogoro and Eri encountered during their marriage is that they weren’t ready. I mean let’s face it, if we do the Math, Kogoro and Eri most likely got married and had Ran in their 20s. Which is still too young btw. Eri probably isn’t a lawyer then or maybe is still studying to be one. I’m guessing she had to give up that up for Kogoro and baby Ran and I’m thinking, being a housewife/full time mom isn’t natural for Eri but she is trying really hard. So, when Kogoro doesn’t appreciate it (ex. dissing her cooking) she gets mad and it hurts her so much so they fight, hence leading to a problematic relationship. With that, Eri had to leave and in the process she maybe found herself pursuing law again until years later she now has a great career but her heart still longs for Kogoro because obviously, she still loves him and he’s just a f*cking knuckle head who loves her as well but is too stupid to do something about it. hahaha3. Adult Detective Shin and Adult Lawyer Ran-I know I’ve written about them like this in TSOY but I want to write about like a real case where they both have to team up to solve it. Still need research for this.I still have more I can’t recall as of the moment. But hopefully things go well and I’ll be able to write all these ideas.

9. Favorite cliche or trope? I’m a sucker for back hugs among couples and maybe the famous Post-BO hospital scene.  You know the works, Ran waiting by Shinichi’s bed and holding his hand until he wakes up. A dramatic moment between them, some tears and maybe a kiss. It’s a cliche that I honestly love. hahaha I know many write scenes like this and some may get tired of it but ahhh I’m in love.

February 27th, 2020: A busy day across two kagai as we witness the birth of two new maiko and a geiko! Koeri (小衿) of Hiroshimaya (廣島屋) in Gion Kobu celebrated her erikae! She is the first imōto of geiko Koyō (小耀) to do so and looks so mature in her new role! From Nishimura (西村) came Yoriko (依子), the newest imōto of popular geiko Makiko (槇子), who will be performing in the Miyako Odori in April! Finally, over in Miyagawa Cho we have Fukuyū (ふく侑) of Shigemori (しげ森), the first of three maiko to debut from that okiya in the coming month! おめでとうさんどす小衿さん、依子ちゃん、とふく侑ちゃん ^o^!
