had a very hectic past 2 weeks especially after getting hit with the flu but chip and i have closed the store!!

thank you so much to everyone who supported us, regardless if you bought something or shared our shop around 😭💝💝💝💝 it's always been a pleasure to make stuff and have people enjoy them!! it's been twice as fun to dual storefront with chip (i had described it like a virtual artist alley table experience) 💖💖💖

as i've mentioned in a few other asks, chip and i have been talking about doing this again after she tables in smash this july! i want to make new merch next time but i'll bring back some favorites from this run too. ^^

another thing i want to update regarding the PH orders, the prints have arrived and i'm waiting for the last half of the stock (charms and standees) to arrive to me! i'll email everyone who ordered once they're complete and start shipping them out ^^

11. Most unique merch you have for a fandom?

I have a Harry Hart figurine (with detachable hands and accessories) that I won in a Kingsman giveaway! He sadly lives in my closet at home, since I recently moved (and my cats are in their gnawing phase).

12. Craziest thing you've ever done as part of a fandom?

Writing for four zines (sheith) in the same year. That nearly killed me lol

19. Fanfic you read again and again?

These days, I'm gravitating to vashwood domesticity; I've read this fic over five times, for instance! I also go back to "water bucket blues" whenever I feel maudlin—but it depends on my mood and what fandom I'm feeling.

22. Least favorite fic trope?

There's not a lot I would click away from if it's written well, but I don't often go for onegaverse.

Okay, so I need to expand my convention stall print selection as a matter of vague urgency because my current stuff is reaching the end of its useful lifespan (the joys of a small con scene and a lot of familiar faces in the customers who've already bought all they're going to buy), so

The current mile long to-draw list for the sake of creating some accountability (bolded are the most immediate priority):

Kirk, Spock, probably also McCoy

The rest of the Trek captains from the shows I've watched (Picard, Sisko, Janeway, Archer, Pike, Burnham?? I haven't gotten far enough in Discovery for her to be captain yet but I'm assuming she is eventually)

I'm trying to mainly stick to old, established fandoms and movies/series that I genuinely like that are cult-classic-y enough that they're consistently popular, because I'm fed up of how quickly The Current Popular Thing fades these days. I've done well out of drawing stuff that'll appeal to the Queer Cartoon-Watching Teens, but they're a fickle audience and getting less reliable so time to target the staple fandoms instead.

And then there's also the other list which is stuff that's mostly for my own entertainment but will probably do decently well, just not enough to be a priority right now:

A few more RWBY characters on coloured paper to expand that set (at least Penny, Nora, Ren, Jaune, Oscar)

A DCTV Flash and Reverse Flash pair of prints on red and yellow paper respectively

Arcane stuff (will be higher priority when the next season is closer, but for now no one is paying it any attention)

The current plan is to start with the Star Trek stuff, because that's going to be portraits and I can do those in my sleep. If I can get Kirk and Spock done, that's a solid start. The Torchwood team print is also small portraits, so that's potentially doable as well, and a good shout for my next event since it's an 18+ evening con so the audience will be a bit different to usual. (I'm intrigued about this con, I don't know how it's going to go, but the idea of an adults-only event where artists can sell All their stuff rather than sticking to kid-friendly is a good one even if that's not going to affect my own stock at all. Shame it's the same weekend and in the same city as a big established con that I got wait-listed for which I'm still mad about because I Kinda Need The Money, but what can you do.)

I've got that con the weekend after next which means I've got until Monday night at the latest to get things finished if I want them with the print shop by Tuesday morning. Then I can work on the two extra Doctors and maybe some companions, because those will be badges and I make those myself. And that's as far in the future as it's worth thinking right now, let's just take this a couple of weeks at a time and maybe my brain will stop stalling over having too much to do and no way to narrow it down

Kingsman peeps, I need your input!

I was working on a design for a Merlin card, but decided in the end that I didn’t like where it was going and scrapped it. However, that means that I’m left with this very adorable little clipboard (based on the original clipboard in TSS, because while the knife design in TGC is good for a laugh, I truly hate how big and clunky and ugly that clipboard is).

It’s so cute, in fact, I’m wondering if I should try and make something with it. This is where you guys come in. Would any of you be interested in sets of these (like 5 or 10) to use as gift tags or small notecards? Or – if I can get it figured out – a stack of post-it like sheets (the white paper) on the clipboard that you could pull off and use? Or maybe you have another suggestion of what I could do with this cutie?

I’m not sure on pricing yet – the clipboard part is easy, but I hand draw the kingsman logo, and I need to figure out the complexity of making post-it pads by hand.

Fandom button maker!

Okay so! Life has sorted itself out again and my last ever undergrad (gasp!) exam is over so it’s time to get serious about this button thing - which you can totally blame on @harry-dearhart and @getinthefuckingjaeger.

As you may know, and as I mentioned in an earlier post, this fandom has a distinct lack of affordable merch. I mean, we just don’t. Unless it’s the product of some very dedicated fan the legit creators have given us very little. To that end I have come across a button press in Argos with inserts that we could buy as a fandom and ship out for the price of a stamp. 

So, the button maker is £100 for the machine and 500 2.5″ button inserts. 

If we got 10 people to donate then the machine would cost us £10 each. If we got 20 people to donate then the machine would cost us £5 each (see the pattern yet?). 

We’re a fairly large fandom, so I have no doubt that we could even get 100 people to donate £1 each and everyone would be happy! Heck, this button post got 412 notes! The more people who donate, the cheaper it will be for everyone.

As for the art I’ll only accept donations of work from the actual artist, or author if it’s a memorable quote, and I’ll thank you not to offer someone else’s content without their knowledge or consent!

The buttons would be free for anyone who wants one (because we can’t have nice things in this fandom), sent out for only the cost of a stamp for postage, so thats 30p if you live in the UK, and 90p if you live in the US, the most expensive would be Australia at £1.15.

So please DM me if you’d like to donate so I can jot down your name, and that goes for anyone else who has already said, sorry guys but my inbox if a bit muddled right now so I’d like to start from scratch. If you can’t donate then please boost this in the hopes of reaching those who can!
