But I also had the urge to add my YGO OC Reiko because I have to practise more than one character and also facial features. Kat is more european-inclined while Reiko is straight asian so uhhhh I hope I could work some of that into it

RIKU’S RANDOM LIFE: BOOKS

One of my new year’s resolutions: read more books.

As kid I loved reading. I was a real bookworm. Then, as live got busier and adult responsibilities started haunting me, I forgot how great it is to sit down and relax with a book. I would occasionally read, absolutely love it, tell myself to read more, but never get to it.

So, I decided to make a change! I’m going to read more! 

To this end, I decided to shut down my PC around 10PM every evening and spent the last hour or two are reading! And, I’m pretty happy to say, I’ve managed to finish 10 books just in January!

I really hope I can keep this up and read loads of books this year!

Quick background

Kat is an orphan, born in Domino City. Victim of a serial killer at only 8 years old, she was found unconscious next to her tormentor body. News articles can be found about it, since her parents, killed in this accident, were the creators of Murata Robotics. She was sent to the Institute, deemed dangerous for herself and the others, for one year. 

She grew up in a shitty foster family that was living next to the Jounouchi’s flat. She met Katsuya and they quickly became best friends, learning together to fight to survive in their bad neighborhood. 

She discovered recently that she has a monster spirit trapped inside of her, Xeras the Dragon tamer. Even if he is responsible for most of her past problems, she had to accept to be stuck with him. She is the only one that can see and hear him. She cannot take control of Kat's body without her consent.

Daily Life

She tends to be impulsive and vulgar. But in the presence of people she likes, she’s very energetic and radiant, always ready to laugh. 

Kat has a really active life, spending her time between multiples hobbies,  dance, Boxing, yoga, and smalls gigs (warehouses, docks, food deliveries, etc)

Even if she is a good duelist, she mostly only play with Jou and Adam, and avoid official duels so her deck is not recognized by Underground regulars

Despite having a diploma in Business Economics, she didn’t manage to have a job in the field, but still tries for it. Sadly her criminal record (only for small crimes) doesn’t help her to be hired. Her thesis was on the successful transformation of KaibaCorp from a weapons seller to an entertainment one. 

She lives in a renovated warehouse, in the old industrial district. The first floor has big garages and her apartment is the half of the second floor. A big living room/kitchen, a bathroom and three rooms. Her roommates are Jounouchi and her cousin Adam Sjögren

She has Doggo, a male golden retriever with a scar on his side and that limp a little 

The Berserker

Kat is the leader of a gang, the Yellow Dragons, with her secret identity, the Kiiro no ryū. The gang is mostly involved with drug trafficking, clandestine fights and Duels, in the Underground. She and her gang are seen as protectors of the prostitutes, the forsaken and the weaks. 

She is herself known for her street fights where she can sometimes enter a relentless rage. She also has a reputation as a clandestine Duelist.
