Sometimes I feel not enough thought is given to Haru and Ren's sexuality, especially when they are so fascinating and complex representations.

One could argue Haru was perhaps demisexual in the sense he had never actually fallen in love until he met Ren and shared a deep emotional connection with him. The manga itself certainly alludes to him falling in love with Ren when they first met. After they bonded and he realised Ren could see past his "mask". He's certainly never been in love prior to Ren, at one point even admitting to himself that he only went out with girls because he did not care what they thought of him and they were expendable. There was no emotional connection there. Not even with the woman he slept with when he was in care - it was out of loneliness and he admitted that as well. He never tried to contact her after he was thrown out of the home and he never went looking for her either. Obviously there was that one moment when he was about to call her after being given her number, but that was because he was conflicted with his feelings towards Ren and was trying to force himself to be "normal", thinking Ren might not fully feel the same way. It's only after Ren tells him he should do what he really wants that he decides to pursue Ren. Of course, a misunderstanding takes place just as he does so, but it's all sorted out soon after.

Overall, I'm pretty sure Haru is demisexual. And before anyone points out he had sex with others so he can't be - that's not true. Some demisexuals can and do have casual sex for whatever reason (loneliness seems to be a factor in Haru's case), but there is just no real attraction there.

As for Ren? I'd say he is also demisexual. Some might perhaps claim he's asexual, but I would have to disagree. Ren has shown sexual attraction towards Haru on numerous occasions, too many to list! He does not show any attraction to anyone other than Haru, who he has a deep connection with. So I think it's safe to say he's likely demisexual as well. And personally, I think it's perfect that way.

Hi I only got into super lovers a week or two ago and I’ve almost caught up with the manga

While looking the manga up online I came across a reddit post that talked about missing volumes and some of the plot being redacted. They mentioned that ren goes to college and we find out who his parents are but that stuff isn’t in the manga anymore. Since I only recently got into this I wouldn’t know about this but wanted to know if it’s true

I haven't read the manga in years as I caught up to where it left off a few years ago. The last thing I remember reading about was Ren's school rival, the white haired boy? (I think he had white hair or maybe Im being delulu)

I wasn't aware the manga went that far in the timeline so I don't have any information on that, but if anyone else has information on this it'd be much appreciated!!!

raised in wano in the kuri region on one of the largest farms, in charge of supplying a third of kuri and half of hakumai. during festival seasons, they provide alcohol, tea, and their share of fireworks for the festivities. their booth often offers tea ware and specialty blends.

haru left wano as a teenager in search of his best friend who was kidnapped from the port of hakumai during an attempted infiltration. ( more on this tba )

throughout his journey, he becomes a bounty hunter to care for his needs.

eventually, he learns that kaidou has taken over his homeland and journeys back to find it in ruins. he chooses to stay and take back the land, but attempts to gather information from the capital. there, he's "captured" by denjiro, who after earning his trust, fills him in on the situation at hand.

he also allies with ashura, stealing from paradise farms to supply his family and their village by night. however, in order to maintain his cover, he pretends to have turned his back on the people of wano during the day.

post-onigashima battle, he stays in wano to rebuild but will potentially return to sea.

possible in-world connections ... very open to other bounty hunters/groups, pirates, canon and oc alike. particularly interested in writing with figures important in the wano arc: akazaya nine, kaidou, kozuki family, yamato, etc.

Due to unforeseen situations, I had to put my creative work aside for a while, but the biggest thing that worries me is that I haven't finished reading five volumes of the SuperLovers manga!xD Those that have been released so far and translated, but the music from the anime is still with me and I wanted to share my findings with you.

When I was looking for an opening from the anime on YouTube, at least some performance, cover, AMV... I found from official representatives of the anime that there are several additional CV-songs👀 Firstly, Happiness you and me and Gyunto Love Song have 10 or 12 variations! For every ear and taste, which of the brothers do you like more! I also came across individual songs from the seiyuu Aki, Shima, Ren and Haru. I especially liked the last three•⩊• I found the lyrics on a Japanese website, then translated them from kanji to romanji through a translator, and then edited them line by linexD😄

Honestly, the twins didn't arouse any sympathy at first and I considered them unnecessary in the plot, but then I liked them so much that I want to find fanfics about them!😄🥰 And I wanted to make an AMV for this song exclusively with shots of the twins. The uniqueness of these two is that they are not just relatives, brothers, lovers as for fanfics, but twins. This is such a strong and solid connection on a mental level that no one can cut it*__* They are already one whole and they don't need to look for halves. In this case, I would call them SuperBrothers.

Kaidou Ren - The warmth of your palm (CV: Junko Minagawa) (jp: 皆川純子 - てのひらのぬくもり)

In general, the lyrics are about how Ren wants to fulfill the promise that Haru gave him. And he doesn't want to give in to this desire and give someone the warmth he gave. I also wanted to make an AMV for this song from Ren's side^^

Kaidou Haru - Kizuna no namae (CV: Tomoaki Maeno) (jp: 前野智昭 - 絆の名前 歌詞)

The song is called "The Name of the Relationship". Which has no name and no one knows how to designate them, because they go beyond the usual. At the same time, unlike Haru in the anime, who constantly... Behaves like an idiot - let's be honest:"D - and quite rarely... In general, the mentality of the Japanese is such that they don't confess their love in words. They can express sympathy in any way, but they cannot say directly "I love you"!xD In the manga, I only saw a couple of times when Haru honestly confessed his love to Ren. And this song is another proof of that))

I have seen a few people talking about Haru having dacryphilia - where he gets a bit turned on by seeing Ren cry. Unfortunately some miss the point of him having such a kink...

He's not some sadist who gets a kick out of hurting Ren emotionally or physically. He simply gets turned on by seeing the 'real' Ren, the Ren he is only privy to. Ren does not emote much, other than when he's reacting to Haru. Haru loves to see this secret side of him that is his alone to admire. He loves that he can provoke such emotions in him and he feels excited by the special bond they share.

Just how Ren is the only one who truly sees the 'real' Haru, he is the only one who truly sees the 'real' Ren. It's all about the raw emotional bond they share and the fact Ren feels he can show that vulnerable side to Haru that gets his blood pumping in a certain area. It's the deep connection that fuels his desire.

in thinking more of haru’s purpose for fighting with the samurai to take back wano, i think it’s less about restoring the kozuki clan and more about taking back what is theirs from kaidou. he is disinterested in the politics and yet, it’s a large part of the issue, which he can acknowledge.

i was writing a thread where part of the introspection of his resolve is his desire to restore the kozuki but that felt off. while i know i don’t have to adhere to his initial characterization and it can evolve as i write him, i really am attached to a specific character type i want to play him as. with that, i don’t think he particularly cares about the kozuki as blasphemous as that would be to the akazaya who he actually has deep respect for as warriors, samurai, and leaders— he wants his farm back. ( respect does not quite equal loyalty though, if he had any inkling that their choices would bring more ruin or he disagreed, he wouldn’t act with them.)

he wants wano to thrive, he wants it restored to its brilliance. yes, he cares about who sits on the throne as shogun as that would dictate the future of the country, and he’s not the type to stage a coup, but he is the type to speak out against authority and rebel if he doesn’t believe in the leadership.

anyways, kazumi haru’s loyalty lies with the country of wano and its people, and actually in an even smaller way, he cares most of all about his family and in a larger way, he values freedom. and he will be a villain for its people more than he’d be a hero, if that makes sense. a slippery slope that i hope will manifest later or even expand upon within the wano kuni plot timeline, i can figure out for him or any other situations he could be in. i’m still getting a handle on who he is as he’s a pretty new oc and other ocs ( ahem iselda ahem ) take up a majority of creative brain space. so, i expect this to be expanded on more.

interestingly enough, i had originally been planning to make him a kurozumi, but didn’t want him to be That tied to the storyline. he’s a samurai in a sea of samurai. he’s actually a farmer first, warrior second. but, he’s not a meek man by any means.

i feel like there’s so much i have in my head about him that hasn’t quite hatched yet but i have this general idea i want to run with so bad, i just need the brains and the opportunity.
