Lineup Lamentations - GW13
Our Transfers, Captains, and Starting 11s for the week!
And if you missed it for subscribers Friday My Life episode just came out!
WALSH
TRANSFERS:
OUT: Salah, Pukki, Nketiah
IN (for -4 points hit): Dendoncker, Kane, Vardy
Time to shake up the squad with my first hit of the season.
Mo and this ankle situation feels like not something I want to be monitoring or thinking about in the near term so once I decided to bin him the moves made themselves.
I am back in on Kane.. my lover and FPL mistress will always be welcomed back to both either of my bosoms. I am all in on Mou bouncing them and sticking Kane back to traditional nine as he has done in years past. I have idea who will play in midfield or where but I do believe that Kane will be back up top with no fucking about and he will get them to feed the machine. I've got most of my other bases covered and this just felt like the best way to give me points. Gives me a horse who will start and play all these games as well as strengthening my bench with that Livp blank on the horizon.
Let's go Harold you lad.
Vardy still sucks.
GK:
Pope (wat)
Pope somehow got points last gameweek so maybe it will beget more points in this. He only has two more good fixtures before they turn so hopefully he can put some more points on the board. Been feeling antsy with him but not sure I'll have a transfer to spew on GK in the near term. TBD.
DEF:
Alexander-Arnold & Robertson (cry)
Trent and R0bbo still plod along game on game as Livp do their best Fulham impression at keeping cleans. Robbo knocked is a worry but meh he'll prob play. Whatever.
Good fixtures run for these so hoping that they finally kick into gear and keep some cleans to repay my faith.
Lundstram (MUN)
Pointstram obviously is in there as he will be for the rest of the season assuming he doesn't die or get dropped. Not a great feel with Manchu rolling in without Hendo and possibly with Jagz in there but whatever. Who knows which version will show up? I do not.
Rico (WOL)
Last is Rico. Ugh vomit poop. No faith in him and I hate him for the points he has gotten me on the bench. Somewhat reasonable on paper fixture so he's going to try his best to get me two points instead of one point. Time will tell.
MID:
Only three lonely mids as I have an eye to turn this trio into a duo.
Sterling & De Bruyne (CHE)
Raz and Kev are still chilling and I feel fine holding them both for a while. I believe in City and I think that points are coming for these two.
Mount (mci)
Mount somehow is still in my team despite drawing a lot of my disdain recently. Not much to say about him other than he is biding time in my team for me to build up an extra transfer to turn him into fodder and go 523.
FWD:
Kane (whu) & Vardy (bha) & Abraham (mci)
Forward group looks like point central with Kane Vardz and Tamela.
I guess Tam and Vard at this point are just like empty spots since everyone has them? Kinda? Either way, I guess it's good to have the good players who get points.
CAP:
Kane (whu)
Silly if you thought I wouldn't back big Harold in his first Mou game.
Come on Harry! Show us old Harry new manager bounce come on harry be a great guy i love you harry get me some goals assists and points come on harryyyyyy.
I can see the headlines now: "Mourinho struggles to a 0-0 draw at the Olympic in first game as King of the Potatoes" yipeee.
ALON
TRANSFERS:
OUT: Hudson-Odoi, Kelly, Lowton, and Pukki
IN (for -8 points hit): Maddison, Guilbert, van Dijk, and Connolly
WOW.
Here we are.
I think Walsh being very mad and very frustrated for two weeks and on the last normal pod has rubbed off on me a bit. I mean hits are also in my nature and I have a good track record of hits... It’s not that much of a stretch considering for two weeks I’ve been basically nailed on gonna take a -4 to get to -8 just one more click ya know?
My team was very flagged and in trouble as you can see I’ve removed a red flag backup in CHO, a backup in Kelly (Ward is fit), a player bombed out of the 11 in Lowton, and the old bald shtity guy who plays for the worst team in the Premier League... As far as -8s go pretty fucking good to get rid of a total of 2 points.
As for the guys I brought in Connolly was a panic like two weeks ago when Pukki was dropping again I made the early move of bringing in the now red flagged Connolly but it’s fine he’s gonna ride the bench anyway and should be back soon... The last trio came together literally last second right after Friday My Life I found a set of three that I like and all fit perfectly and just fucking did it.
Maddo is good, despite being down on him (or at least MORE down then most people) I still always said yes he’ll tick and get points, and Goodman kinda convinced me more on him from the Fireside.
I back Liverpool to start keeping cleans now that they don’t have the ridiculously bad fixtures anymore and VVD will start every single match in the pileup. He’s also kinda cover for me since the ownership between Trent/Robbo/Alisson is very high.
And lastly Guilbert Fred Gilbert comes in. He’s been pretty good and attacking since GW3 when he started starting but more importantly for my team he rotates very well with Soy/Tomori so the upcoming fixtures that I’ll be starting Guilbert in are home Newcastle this week, home Southampton in GW18, and home Norwich in GW19. Maybe more, who knows, but that’s the plan.
Alright long transfers section is done and I still feel good about the hit. I’m happy (for now).
GK:
Gazzaniga (whu)
Fortress Mou cometh. Cleans cometh. Let’s go.
DEF:
van Dijk (cry)
Oh hey bro welcome to the squad you almighty being.
Not feeling fantastic about a clean away and Liverpool usually play like shit after international break but it’s certainly possible with Palace’s shitty ass attack.
Lundstram (MUN)
Really hope that Egan comes in so it’s not a Jags absolute shit-show disaster. Still worried about no Hendo. Worried in general about this one have a bad feeling about the clean but you know Lund can get attacking returns vs. anyone and it’s home so let’s go Lundy.
Söyüncü (bha)
One of four guys that I’ve had since GW1; I fucking love Soy.
Away is tougher then home for this clean but I still expect it and expect Leicester to control and kill the match.
Guilbert (NEW)
Another new bro getting in there.
Newcastle somehow have been generating attack lately (Saint-Maximin in) but I still consider them the worst attack or at least bottom three attack in the division so home vs. Newcastle to me is as good a chance of a clean as any.
And maybe Fred is feeling saucy and gonna throw in an assist???
MID:
Salah (cry)
No words... if he plays then he’s captain material. If he plays but isn’t fit then fuck me. If he doesn’t play then really fuck me... Sweating the teamsheet a lot on this one as he might go from not a problem at all to a big problem very quickly tomorrow morning.
Sterling & De Bruyne (CHE)
I still back the MCI guys to score lots of goals and points and haven’t thought about ditching either yet. And I think that City are gonna score a lot of goals vs. Chelsea like at least three in my opinion so I love this match from FPL perspective.
Maddison (bha)
New friend.
Passes into the box / key passes / Casino merchant / cunt, he really ticks every box for me. Just gonna sit back and watch the points trickle in... Or the points’ll dry up and I’ll fucking hate myself for not backing myself.
TBD.
FWD:
Vardy (bha)
Duh.
Abraham (mci)
Duh Part 2.
CAP:
Salah (cry)
Well here we are... Part one of what I said about Mo was that if he’s fit then he’s cap material and so I’m taking that risk... I have vice on Vardy just in case.
I didn’t feel good capping Kevin or Raz or Vardy this week which I guess puts me largely in the minority but I don’t know Brighton have been really solid at home (5th best NPxGA) and Vardy shoots like 1-2 times per match and I’m just like meh maybe Liverpool just win 3-0 and Mo double returns. I can picture that a lot easier but maybe that’s just me.
Hate captain.
As Pod Partner said you gotta go with your balls and your penis sometimes. Alas.
RANDOM SLACKER OF THE WEEK: JEFFD
The words of Random Slacker are not officially endorsed by this website nor any employees of FML FPL LLC.
TRANSFERS:
OUT: Pukki & Salah
IN (for -4 points hit): Jiménez & Mané
Fear-based transfers IN. I’m taking only my second hit of the season in Gameweek 13, which represents massive personal growth for me as an FPL manager. My transfers this week were inspired by a Mourinho quote:
“…during my career, I made mistakes, and I'm not going to make these mistakes, I'm going to make new ones.”
The Pukki to Jiménez move doesn’t need much explaining. Canaries linger in my team because while I was foolishly shuffling KdB out and back in, I should have been dealing with stagnant assets like Pukki. Getting Jim isn’t the most titillating move, but after looking at the options at or below this price, he seems like the most sensible option in both the short- and medium-term.
I decided on the Mo to Mané sideway shuffle very late based on the landscape of my money league with my mates. I’m near the top of the league, and we’re all bad, but I’m the least bad historically. I noticed that I’m the only manager of 12 that still owns Mo, almost everyone has Mané, and I can’t tolerate this risk any longer.
Given health and recent form, I think the probability that Mané outperforms Mo is so much larger than the other way around this week — and over the next few weeks — and I'm prioritizing keeping pace rather than owning a differential. So I’m conceding the 4 points now to correlate my team a little more with the rest that own Mané. If I miss out on a run of Mo hauls, please refer to the José quote above.
GK:
Pope (wat)
His 9 points last gameweek were very unexpected and appreciated. Still, this is a player I’m looking at “downgrading” for a few extra coins before the blanks in GW18.
DEF:
Alexander-Arnold & Robertson (cry)
I can’t say enough about these guys. I look forward to owning them both for the rest of the season. I’m praying for Robbo’s health — because I love him — and my bench is loathsome.
Lundstram (MUN)
Looking forward to his 2-21 points this week. This is not new information, but the positions that Lundstram has been taking up in the past few matches are preposterous for someone classed as a defender in FPL. I’ve been almost forced to start him every week based on my personnel, which has proved advantageous since some other managers with deeper teams ended up benching him and missing out.
MID:
Mané (cry)
New guy gets a haiku:
Senegalese stud;
scores with both feet and his head;
welcome to my team.
De Bruyne (CHE)
I spent a lot of transfers and lost some value getting him out and back in. If he would repay the faith, that would be great. Note that if Kevin is going to score against a previous club that spurned him any time soon, it surely has to be this week.
Mount (mci)
As a Yank, I’ve watched Pulisic a lot, and this not the player I’m used to seeing. I think he’ll regress or get hurt, and then maybe the proverbial pendulum will swing back to Mount. Chelsea have some home bankers coming up, so I’ll reassess this spot frequently in the coming weeks.
Tielemans (bha)
I used my two frees last week to get this guy and Vardy, so I was obviously buzzing when they linked up for that goal. I opted to get him over Maddo and invest funds in my bench down the road, so I’m perversely desiring to see Youri keep pace with or outperform Maddo.
I don’t think it’s unreasonable to imagine him having a license to get farther forward and score in a match like this where Leicester may be bossing possession for long periods.
FWD:
Vardy (bha)
I’m a math/stats guy for work, and I enjoy FPL since eye-test is often so much more illuminating than stuff like xG. That being said, Vardy can’t keep up what he’s doing statistically, but I’m here to embrace and benefit from his unsustainable scoring record for as long as it lasts.
Abraham (mci)
Starting double Chelsea attack away to City does not inspire confidence in my squad, but City defense is a shadow of its former self, and we’ve seen Tammy get behind and punish mistakes, so I have optimism here.
Jiménez (bou)
The third pillar in the VAJ frontline. Do something, you donkey.
CAP:
Vardy (bha)
We may very well see a beleaguered Brighton side given injuries and Dunk’s suspension. We know what Vardy can do with limited chances, so this seems like the sort of match where he can actually get a volume of quality opportunities and maybe even a jammy pen.

Fantasy Premier League Week 9 Transfers and Tips: Mo no more
(New post on FreeBetAlerts.com) - https://freebetalerts.com/2018/10/18/fantasy-premier-league-week-9-transfers-and-tips-mo-no-more/ #Football, #Freebets, #Tips
Fantasy Premier League Week 9 Transfers and Tips: Mo no more Please share.
The international break has concluded so it is time for Neil Monnery to return with his weekly look at the best and worse fantasy moves ahead of GW9… ‘Romelu Lukaku – £10.9m. The thrilling 3-2 comeback against Newcastle had all but nothing to do with the Belgian front man. I know he’s up against his former team and that alone should get the juices flowing but at such a large price, Lukaku is very hard to trust right now.’
Eight to like
Alexandre Lacazette – £9.6m. The word is out that Arsenal might actually be better than anyone really expected. Since the former Lyon man won a starting spot, he’s scored four and nabbed three assists in those five appearances. Going into the campaign not much was expected but now the 27 year-old is a sneaky hot pick fantasy wise. Leicester on the Monday Night Football is a fine opportunity to transfer him in. Unai Emery’s men have shown to be a very good second half team so far this season.
Alexandre Lacazette is available at 5/2 to open the scoring in Arsenal v Leicester City (Sportsbook)Callum Wilson & Josh King – both £6.4m. Bournemouth are scoring goals and their front two are leading the way. Wilson has a stonking seven assists so far along with three goals. For King he’s banged in four and set up one. Southampton aren’t scary opponents so if you need a dive into the bargain bin for a third striker, you could do a lot worse than either of these two.
Kevin de Bruyne – £9.7m. A big welcome back to the Belgian superstar who seems primed for his keenly awaited return to the first team this weekend. Man City are level on points with Chelsea and Liverpool despite their best player having played just half an hour this season. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that he’s a good pick in FPL but being £3.1m cheaper than the disappointing Mo Salah, owners of the Egyptian should be considering this swap right now.
Kevin de Bruyne is available at 7/5 to score anytime in Manchester City v Burnley (Sportsbook)Matt Doherty – £4.7m. In my column for GW7, I wrote the following about the Wolves right-back:
Matt Doherty – £4.4m. There is nothing better than watching a player to determine their fantasy value. I bring this up as when Wolves played Burnley on the telly a few weeks back, it was the first time I’d watched Doherty. I came away mightily impressed. The Irish international constantly overlapped and found himself in attacking positions. Southampton at home is a clean sheet opportunity and he looks like a player who’ll provide a handful of dangerous balls into the box.
That week he created one and kept a clean sheet in the 2-0 win over Southampton. The following week he scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace. Why only 12.2% of teams have selected him, I have no idea. He’s £300,000 more than he was then but still a buy now candidate.Federico Fernández – £4.4m. It isn’t often that a Newcastle defender will fill up many column inches here but with Brighton at home on Saturday, this is one of the better cheap clean chances around. The visitors have found the back of the net in one game this season and that wasn’t the longest journey ever, Southampton. This is purely a like based on a very favourable match-up.
Ross Barkley – £5.7m. Once a weekly fantasy option, the former Everton man has seen his career stagnate over the past year or so. Having finally netted for his new club, it is perfectly reasonable to expect more from the 24 year-old. He might not be a week in, week out starter at Stamford Bridge but as your swing fifth midfielder, the man whose been capped a surprisingly high 24 times for his country is a real option. . likes him to expose the Manchester United midfield on Saturday.
Daniel Sturridge – £5.8m. This is a pick based on a potential opportunity due to injuries to Sadio Mané and Mo Salah, both of whom have returned from international duty carrying knocks. Watch the reporting closely as we get towards game time but if either miss out, who wouldn’t want a striker of Sturridge’s class for £5.8m against Huddersfield?
Daniel Sturridge is available at 11/10 to score anytime in Huddersfield Town v Liverpool (Sportsbook)
Aaron Ramsey – £7.3m. I started with a Gunner and will end with one. In ten minutes on the pitch at Fulham, he both scored and grabbed an assist. If that isn’t enough for a starting spot then I don’t know what is. With the way Arsenal are playing at the moment, he’d be excellent value at £7.3m should he play the full 90 minutes.
Two to avoid
Mohamed Salah – £12.8m. It is time to jump off this bandwagon and hop aboard either Eden Hazard or the aforementioned KDB. The potential to reinvest your savings elsewhere is extremely tempting. Salah may well return to his 2017/18 form but the signs aren’t looking good. He’s also an injury doubt this weekend.
Romelu Lukaku – £10.9m. The thrilling 3-2 comeback against Newcastle had all but nothing to do with the Belgian front man. I know he’s up against his former team and that alone should get the juices flowing but at such a large price, Lukaku is very hard to trust right now.
If you think I’m wrong, Romelu Lukaku is available at 23/10 to score anytime in Chelsea v Manchester United (Sportsbook)
Captain’s pick
Arsenal are starting to really tick and a Monday night game with Leicester makes me think Lacazette along with Aubameyang are real options here. Liverpool travel to Huddersfield but the goals have not been flowing for Jurgen Klopp’s men so far this season, which is making me reticent in giving any of their attackers the armband. Eden Hazard against his old manager is another big play and who could forget Sergio Aguero? You can read all our Premier League Previews in our EPL section right here on betting.betfair.com*Remember the deadline to submit your teams for GW9 is 11:30 on Saturday.

Lineup Lamentations - GW11
Our Transfers, Captains, and Starting 11s for the week.
PLUS ALON ON WILDCARDDDDDDddddddd!@!!!!!
WALSH
TRANSFERS:
OUT: Jonny Castro Otto, and rolling a transfer as usual
IN: :bulbasaur: :baulbasaur: :bulby: :balbuena:
Riperino Castroino. You've been a good lieutenant for me and mine but it's time to say goodbye. Doubling down with him and Doherty was an ill fated experiment and it's time to sort it. I took a bit of time to investigate between BHA WHU and NEW defenses and landed on the leaf pokemon. Fixtures look good and their underlying defensive stats have been tidy. Let's go
GK:
Alisson Beckz still in there for the good guys. Tricky fixture on paper but Livp defense if Livp defense. Pretty fine.
DEF:
Trenty goes again. Still not too sure about this guy in my team but he's gotten me two points over the three weeks I've had him so hard to argue with that.
Mendy in with a home banker ho hum.
Dockerty Doherty in with a home banker ho hum.
New friend and pokemon Fabian Balbuena will try to vine whip his way into my heart and by solar beam his way into my heart I mean Burnley to score a 88th minute goal off a broken set piece from Benjamin Mee to send me into the darkest of depths.
MID:
Mo goes. Nothing to see here.
With Kevin ded Dilv is looking a lot better in his efforts to maintain insane underlying stats and horrendous FPL point returns. Best three points I'll ever see, taste, feel, hear, smell in my life thanks Dilv love you bro.
Haz for a half is better than anything else I could have going so whatever in fuck goddamn glhf Haz.
Frayzuh I'll hold for this weekend. Not sure if I'll stand by him for the near term but will stick on him for the weekend. United defense been looking better as of late but still could be goals in this game so we'll see.
FWD:
Genius transfer last week Dings drops to the bench and it's the old amigos Kun and Arnie going again for me this weekend.
Hopefully Arnie can walk/limp around for 85 minutes and expend energy for 5 critical minutes leading to goals/assists/points. Kun...well....just hoping he makes it to the 60' mark. Vomit.
BENCH:
Ings / Billing / Wan
CAP:
Mo. Really not much thought in it this week. Kun a non-option due to minutes...Haz a non-option due to minutes....Mo always an option due to pharaoh status and arsecast lol defense status. Seems good.
ALON
TRANSFERS:
WILDCARDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!
OUT: everyone
IN: everyone else
I’m not sure the best way to write wildcard lambs as it’s such a fuck... I’ve made a trillion transfers this week so yeah, I duno, I’m not gonna account for all the moves and all that shit. I’ll just do lambs like normal and go through my starting 11 and then for the bench section instead of just listing the dudes I’ll write a little on them too.
Also this isn’t final final final who knows what deep darkness lays wake for me this evening...... Truth is I haven’t even transferred in half of these players yet because I need the last round of price changes to go through first. Can’t wait.
GK:
Flappy bird Lukaszszszzzszs Fabianski comes straight in.
We talked about Fab v. Ryan on the pod and I’m backing the pod here with our evaluation of West Ham v. Brighton and the loooong term outstanding fixtures for West Ham. One bad fixture in the next 11 GWs is goooooooooood.
Flappy’s a monster on bones, I think and hope, he can keep up with the big boys in this stretch run. After all, GKs score the least amount of points.
DEF:
Double City defense with Mendy and my favorite French wine Laporte... Mendy I believe is very self-explanatory legend genius fuck -- did you know on the season Mendy is third highest (Kun then Raz #1 and #2 respectively) fantasy goal involvement percentage for City when he’s on the pitch... Absolutely ridiculous human... And Laporte what more can be said - he’s an immense and fantastic player. I was about ten months too early when I brought Laporte in last season, and now the world is ready for him. He’s casually just played 90 minutes in every prem match this season like a fucking boss. Get all the way in there you classy lefty fuck.
A share in Liverpool’s defense also felt somewhat required and I’m abandoning Robbo for VVD in this moment... Robbo still 100% fantastic pick and nailed and first choice and whatever else you wanna say about the best LB in the prem BUT -- with the very busy fixture period breathing down our necks I feel that VVD playing 90′ every single week will outscore Robbo’s attacking returns -- assuming Robbo has to get rested a couple times in the next month and a half. I think that that makes sense so let’s roll with it. VVDue away at the Emirates not an easy clean but all matches are cleanable for this Liverpool team -- get in there.
Alonso the fourth and final pillar in my Rolls Royce defense... If you missed last pod I had the epiphany that Zo is basically as set-and-forget as they come and transferring him out just because he’s stupidly high-priced for his position is over-thinking it. He’s on pace for his normal 160-180 point season and is just a very very good long-term / season-long hold type guy... if he were a mid he’d cost ~8.5m or 9m with his points tallys. It’s silly with this dude, sometimes just don’t overthink it. Bank the points and call me in the morning.
MID:
4-4-2 formation feels the right amount of forwards and the right amount of value to me. So here we are.
Mo has been in since preseason and continues to be in. He’s just the best simple as that no further questions.
Hazard despite being somewhat knocked and probably playing reduced minutes this weekend still is in my WC side... The fact of the matter is I barely have any choice in this issue. I want him, I still feel when he’s fit (probably a week away) that I’ll sorta need him, and wildcard’s the time to get a 11+ million player in as it’s much more difficult on just frees... Haz is fantastic and a long-term hold so having one whatever GW isn’t a big deal to me.
The next two are my little sexpots. They’re dessert.
Tony M Martial is a sexy guy there’s no doubt about that. He’s dribbling classy fucker who’s on fire at the moment... this spot feels a little tentative for me because I have my worries -- United suck, Mou is a nightmare, Martial is SUPER hot right now but underlying stats are shit -- But at the same time he’s donging for fun and getting in great positions and looking great. And I trust my pod partner.. I’ll probably stick here as Tony seems *obviously* better then the guys he’s competing with -- Siggy / Willian / Maddo / Rich / Pereyra type guys -- but I’m not sure and I need to sit on it longer.
The other punty mad scientist legend in right now is none other then Riyad Mahrez... from where I’m sitting the KdB injury makes City’s first choice central-midfield Dinho / Dilva / Bilva and City’s first choice front line from left-to-right Raz / Kun / Mahrez... That’s what I’m seeing and that’s what I’m believing... Raz looks fabulous on the left and he can cut in on his right there, Mahrez was born and was bought to play RW/RF and cut in and take lots of shots and score goals and he’s flying in that role... Three 90 minute appearances on the bounce, full of form and confidence with the back to back double-digit hauls... It feels a risk worth taking to me with his extraordinarily high upside/ceiling... There will be rotation for sure but I feel good that he’ll mostly be in eleven. Fingers crossed.
FWD:
The two up top are funny.
Callum is in there. Form, eye-test, numbers, he has it all so far this season. King still injured also keeps him on pens... At least for the next few GWs I don’t even mind Bournemouth’s fixtures much so for me right now, this one was easy.
Glenner is number two forward going for me. After all this time, I’m back on Glenner... He’s just doing exactly what he always does -- score goals. He does it for a fucking living and has not slowed at all. Finding little space and getting shots off and dinking and donging and taking pens, Glenner is a Glenner merchant. He’s Harry Kane at 6 million cheaper... seems good... His stats are often abysmal, but usually against mid-to-bad sides his stats uptick and he takes more shots. Looking ahead to Brighton’s schedule for the next sixish GWs -- a lot of sides to rack up shots against. Get in there Glenner.
BENCH:
Bench slot one: Ruben Neves... Have happily shitted on Neves since GW1 bandwagon but here I am bringing him in as purely a bench guy and for me, for a bench guy, he ticks every box known to man... I wanted a stronger then usual bench dude (normally I’d just go for like Stephens here cheap/nailed) and Neves has legitimate double-digit haul upside against any team in the league by nature of being on pens and being on direct free-kicks (and really good at them). He plays 90 minutes every week, good on bones, good team (lotta 3 pointers in there because of Wolves cleans), and he shoots a ton... His shots are low as fuck xG of the Paul variety but for 5.0 getting someone who can shoot upwards of 6 times a match gives him a nice - like I said - high ceiling for an autosub guy. I like it. I’m into it. Get in there. Treat me.
Bench slot two: Isaac Success... potential 4.5 starter at forward need I say more? He’s good and even if he’s dropped once Deeney is fit he’ll always be Watford’s first attacker off of the bench with a chance for some points. He’s a good guy.
Bench slot three: Ryan Bennett of Wolves... He’s started and played 90′ every week this season, Wolves defense is good, he’s 4.2m, it’s a simple good pick... Autosubs have been outta control this season so let’s go get it. Wolves have some bad fixtures coming up but Benny is very startable in the good ones. Just good depth. Get in there.
CAP:
On big Mo.
Fantastic player, fantastic form, pretty good fixture. Ok I’m into it.
My one slight fear is that Arsenal go into turtle bus mode like they did second half vs. Chelsea out of pure fear of getting fucked sideways... But maybe Arsecast being at home makes this less likely? We’ll see. Either way - Mo’s a great horse to back in this moment and Arsenal’s defenders are completely horrendous.
Get in Mo.

Lineup Lamentations - GW2
Our Transfers, Captains, and Starting 11s.
WALSH
TRANSFERS:
Zaha to Groß (aka Gross aka Grob)
Unfortunately, the Zaha injury scuppered my original plan to save the free. Actually, between him and Lejeune I ended up with a pretty rough start from a team depth and injury perspective although I did have a solid score. Anyway, fuck me who cares. Luckily I have 4 playing defenders - or so I think with Danilo in there - so Lejeune is not the most urgent thing ever. Zaha is though, so I shipped him for Gross, or as some know him, Grob.
I know and anticipate Brighton will struggle for goals, but, Gross was playing basically as second striker against City and he was constantly trying to run in behind. He's on some set pieces and had a good record last season in Germany for a similarly positioned in the table team. He looks like he's got some quality about him and unlike several of the other 5.5m options around he is completely nailed so I won't have to worry about him starting or not. Brighton have some good fixtures coming up so he looked like a good 4ish week punt while releasing valuable funds for me to put elsewhere. Get in Grob.
GK:
Going to be a very dull section of Lambs, this, but it's going to be Łukasz Flappyhandedfuckfaceski until I WC. Hoping for a 4 pointer with some saves.
DEF:
I keep waiting for the day where Soton sell VVD, but in the mean time, I bite my nails hoping for Stephens to remain first choice. Looks good to go this weekend, so get right in. He was 2 bps points away from a bap last weekend and was 2nd in his team behind Bertrand so that is a good sign that it's carrying over from last season. Kinda think West Ham will score one, but we'll see.
Mee gets his first run out in the team for me at Turf Moor against Pulis' group of tall fucks.
Finally, Danilo goes again. Mendy reportedly on his way back soon but not ready yet so praying to fuck that Danilo gets another start and he doesn't put Sane or someone over there. I do have Dann as cover on the bench so hopefully am fine. My plan is to transfer Danilo out as soon as possible though.
MID:
New friend Grob goes to Leicester who suddenly are looking a little bit light at the middle of the park. Hope he tits.
Eriksen & Alli look like a couple of immovable pillars in my side right now and even though they've got the difficult fixture against Chelsea they should be really turnt for first Wembley game and wanting a statement win early in the season. Hoping for some goals there.
KDB & D. Silva round out my midfield quintet. Another tricky one home to Everton but City always feel good to put a handful past anyone. Big game for Kev as it would be nice for some returns otherwise he looks at risk for a potential price drop.
FWD:
Lukaku needs no words.
Gabbi is holding a very tenuous position in my squad, though. He fluffed a chance or two last weekend against Swansea and if there is a team for him to break his duck it certainly appears to be West Ham. If he doesn't return, though, he'd be on extremely shaky ground. I do want to save next week but if he blanks I might not be able to control myself...
CAP:
Rom. Haven't even considered looking elsewhere. On form against a side that just let up 20 shots against Soton. United should batter these.
ALON
TRANSFERS:
N/A
I feel like I got away with one with a clean bill of health after a GW1 full of injuries and red cards. Saving my FT feels very good.
GK:
Mr. Set ‘n’ Forget Tom Heaton between the sticks. Normally two points at Stamford Bridge is all a GK can realistically hope for but once Chelsea were down a man, and then two men, I started to think wow is Tom about to come in for me big time but alas, not the case. A little disappointing but Tom’s points will come, as usual.
DEF:
Phil Jones off to a great start for me. I had tinkered in Darmian for a bit in preseason too looking to get a piece of that Manure defense but ended up on Phil and phew, dodged a bullet there. Mou likes to keep a winning 11 together so unless Phil badly fucks up or United blow a game I feel safe. And it feels quite good to get in on those cleans. Many will follow.
Ryan Berty Bertrand straight the fuck in as advertised coming through with an eight pointer and a should-have-been-assist to boot. He’s really, really good. Sometimes I make good decisions. He’s one of’em.
Lastly Danny Simpson making his debut for my squadron. Not the most encouraging of starts to concede four in GW1 but it was at the Emirates, I duno. Home to Brighton is as good a fixture as one can hope for defensively so I’m hoping that William Shakespeare can rally the troops and tighten up a bit. I basically got Danny for this fixture so it would be nice if a little preseason planning ended up working out.
MID:
Double barrel sawed-off city shotgun of KDB and Daveeeeeeed kicks it off joining my pod-partner. Feels great to have two sips of the city kool-aid :)... They’re both great... It’s weird to me that Kev owners are being so impatient, people already getting rid, or planning him as their first transfer out, but whatever, a little loss of team value doesn’t worry me if he blanks and goes down. But Daveed on the other hand punt of the year so far from Walshy!
Gini Wijnaldum with a not great start to the season for LFC or for FPL is discouraging. But we have to remember what Gini does at home vs on the road especially with three of his next four fixtures at home:
2016 & 2015 home
34 starts
17 dongs
7 dimes
2016 & 2015 away
35 starts
0 dongs
7 dimes
Sooooo in summary let’s fucking go Gini. Show time.
Lastly, formerly known as Soup du Jour, now JWP may be getting sour to taste. Lol that sounds like a headline.
I still feel ok with JWP but there is a world where he’s not in the starting 11 - he was always a punt. With Lemina’s class probably nailing him to a holding position it’s now JWP vs. Bouf vs. Davis for that third attacking midfield spot... I hope James did enough to warrant another go at it, but he’s on a short leash for both me and Pellegrino. We’ll see what happens but fuck West Ham they suck and can’t defend so there should be blood.
FWD:
King Kane and I’m not worried. I know August this, Wembley that, but whatever. Just go watch the Spurs 5-3 over Chelsea from like 2014 (his breakout year) it gave me chills remembering watching him live in that moment. Kane loves to fuck a London derby.
Thank god we both started the season with Rom too. For a while there we didn’t have him but we came to our senses and now he’s the most secure thing ever.
And lastly Bob. He did what we thought he might do. Well on his way to a big FPL season. Hope it continues against a porous palace this weekend.
CAP:
No wild punts this season..... yet...... sticking with Rom for now. He’s the obvious pick, just roll with him, don’t overthink it this early.
