Rating: 7/10, Good and squishy but one of those pokemon I sucked at using whenever I tried (also could never find the form I wanted at any given playthrough D:)Fav Thing: does its in game cry count? I like their third (false) eye!

Rating: 10/10, big beefy isopod lov him

Fav Thing: The take on the arms is super interesting, the design as a whole feels very unique and fresh!

I think i’ll start with Julia exquisita!! an absolute weirdo of a snail!!!! 

they are v small 

they are green!!!!! as u can see, BLESSED COLORATION!!! and such vivid greens are p rare in animals, anyways they also have bivalve shells, which, in a taxonomic perspective makes absolutely no sense, bc snail shells evolved from a cone-shaped shell, nothing like this, this is much more similar to actual bivalves like oysters, v crazy! love this dude

They are also Sap suckers, so, in a lot of ways, they’re like the sea equivalent of aphids, u can see why I love them so much

Also worth noting is Melibe leonina! the Hooded Nudibranch!! I mean, I should mention every single nudibranch but look!!!!! this guy has an extremely derived (and really really cool) oral hood!!!

IT EXPANDS SO MUCH!!! there’s a popular post of a video of one of them feeding, it’s really good

they’re amazing, oh and also?? those super cool crests? with root-like veins? yeah that’s where they breath from, the group these guys belong to (the Aeolids) has these type of gills, but these are specially cool!!! LOVE THESE CRITTERS!!! THEY LOOK SO ALIEN!!!

I feel like they have gotten good representation but stil!!!! I ADORE THEM SO MUCH!!! their foot???? got adapted into wings????? that’s so IMPRESSIVE!!! sea angels and sea butterflies all the way!!!! 

Also I wish Phione was a sea Butterfly so Pokemon gets representation of both Pteropod groups but oh well we have two Sea Angels instead so I can’t complain

This post is already long enough but finally, and definitely not least... If i had to chose the gastropod I love the must, then I’d have to go with the one i interact the most with! the one i see the most and rescue from cycling routes the most!! because the more I interact with a critter the more I grow fondly of them! I get to see them living parallel to me!!! and feel them moving and squirming with my very own [NUMBER NOT SPECIFIED] hands!!!

hello!! what are your thoughts on gastropods?

Love them!!!! I had an invertebrate physiology class in college and most of the model organisms we looked at were gastropods (like 90% of the class were gastropods and mollusk). I like land snails most probably but theres a lot of sea slugs that are really pretty too!

I love seeing them around!
