Three years ago I did something really scary: I told Proctors Theatre that I wanted to produce a concert series featuring myself and the different groups with whom I performed. Stunningly, they thought that would be a good idea. Eight months later, I found myself in their GE Theatre with eight of my friends, not only performing 90 minutes of original, newly orchestrated material spanning a decade of my career, but also screening THE MOVIE I co-wrote and starred in. This was Justin Friello and the Jack & Jill Orchestra, one night only in Schenectady, August 19, 2016. Pulling off that event was nothing short of a miracle. And I could not have done it without many talented and supportive musicians, friends, and administrators behind me. The list of names is too long to list here, but you know who you are. Tomorrow night at 7pm, I’ll be releasing the CD of that concert via my bandcamp page (link in the bio). I hope you’ll take an hour and a half of your night to listen to us, a truly incredible group of performers.
