I have a question! Do Sam and Julianne watch anything together? I had a thought in my mind of Sam watching a horror movie and being totally unimpressed by the special effects.

Also not a question but I think it's so cute that Julianne's last name is Lucky because she is! (In a few ways)

Good Morning!! Hello!!

Ahh personally I don't think Sam would like a lot of horror. She'd rather watch something a lot more relaxing or home-y. Julianne feels the same way too. In fact, their "first" ""date"" (2 months into transitioning from friends to gfs) they went to watch a re-screening of Annie.

However I do think Sam would have a soft spot for Texas Chainsaw Massacre. She's the kind of person to love things made in hard, hard conditions.

In terms of effects and accuracy, I think they would catch medical dramas on TV sometimes and watch it in morbid curiosity. Julianne has her eyes shut tight the entire time. Sam nitpicks the inaccuracies. It's gross.

And on a more personal note. Yknow. If BTTWNS was set in modern time, I held on to the idea Sam and Julianne would watch extremely disturbing video essays about crime or abandoned places together. Horses' Cannibalism essay stuck out to me and it's a video they would regularly put on and kiss to.

Also on the modern setting I think Sam would watch snuff videos or shock videos privately. Because. Uh.

But ok look at her moms. This kid is basically Snow White. There's no way around that. Deirdre and Leanne raise their beautiful daughter in a quaint little forest cottage. But it's not a secluded secret forest cottage. No, they would never keep their daughter locked away like that. The forest is cozy and comforting to them but they frequently go into the nearby towns and encourage their daughter to make so so many friends!

Julianne is a blondie with a big massive pile of floof for hair. She wears it long and free like her moms do but she loves having it brushed and played with. She's a branded and her brand is on her forehead. She dresses similarly to her moms and they must go through so much bleach idk how they do it. She hates shoes.

Gorgeous singing voice and also a talent for magic and healing. She likes to sing to you as she heals your wounds. Has no desire to ever participate in a fire emblem situation though.

Dancing with the Stars Season 4 Week 8: Rewatch

Ballroom Round

Ian and Cheryl- Foxtrot (Judges' Score=22, My Score=7)- Is Ian pigeon toed? His legs were really bizarre here. It was a really skippy dance. And I thought his frame was not great. BUT, his performance was pretty good. He's definitely still improving on that front. But yeah, this just wasn't his dance.

Joey and Kym- Waltz (Judges' Score=26, My Score=9)- That was a really beautiful dance. I do have to agree with CAI and Bruno though. While it was beautiful, it was also kinda blah. I think he can find a perfect balance between the razzle dazzle of Joey and the stuffy uptight dancing that Len loves.

Billy Ray and Karina- Foxtrot (Judges' Score=18, My Score=6)- Meh. It wasn't good. I do see all the work that they put into it and Billy Ray has improved tenfold. But it just wasn't good. Bruno did a little much there though. That was kinda super disrespectful.

Laila and Maks- Waltz (Judges' Score=27, My Score=9)- The difference between this dance and Joey's dance is that there was an emotional connection to it that really added another dimension to the dance. I do agree that her posture needs work. But everything else was top notch.

Apolo and Julianne- Tango (Judges' Score=27 (idk honestly), My Score=9)- So I thought almost everything about this dance was perfect. His posture was amazing. The frame was perfect. His footwork was incredible. The choreography was great. But, he almost lost control at various moments throughout the dance. I am surprised that CAI and Bruno missed that.

Latin Round

Ian and Cheryl- Rumba (Judges' Score=25, My Score=8)- Ian's technique was much better this time around. His lines were nice and the hip action was good. I saw he was in his head just a little bit, but not too bad. It was good, but not as good as his two dances last week.

Joey and Kym- Mambo (Judges' Score=29, My Score=9)- It was good. Great even. But it wasn't as good as I think I've come to expect from Joey. It was a great performance though. It was fun for sure.

Billy Ray and Karina- Mambo (Judges' Score=20, My Score=6)- This might've been the most awkward dance that Billy Ray ever did on this show. It was just weird, awkward and kinda clumsy. Entertaining but whew, it was odd.

Laila and Maks- Jive (Judges' Score=26, My Score=9)- It was cute. I liked it. Laila's feet do need some work though. I need more energy through her leg all the way to her foot. That was my big problem. I didn't too much mind the start of the dance.

Apolo and Julianne- Paso Doble (Judges' Score=30, My Score=9)- Awww dangit. I so wanted to give this a dance. But Apolo and Julianne fell over right at the beginning and it looked like there was a missed hand connection halfway through. I am so glad that they redid this dance in the finals because I really want to see it done without the fall and the missed connection.

Believe it or not, I ignore them because I can't write letters to each one of them individually—it would take too much of my time. So, I just ignore them. I see the pictures, but I never react.

Two days ago, though, I wrote a short message to Elizabeth Hurley because she was popping up on my feed with way too many pictures, and it went on every day for an entire week. That's why I decided to break my silence and respond to her. I wrote a cute message and told her how her movie influenced me as a teenager in the 2000s.

Nurture your boy’s emotional side It’s typically between the ages of nine and twelve that our cute, cuddly little children, once so willing to climb into our laps and share their secrets, suddenly want little or nothing to do with us. A child in preadolescence is not the same person they were just a year or two ago. They have changed—physically, cognitively, emotionally, and socially. They’re developing new independence and may even want to see how far they can push limits set by parents. What they may not know is that they need you as much as ever, because a strong parent-child relationship now can set the stage for a much less turbulent adolescence. But it won’t be easy, because you as a parent need to respect your child’s need for greater autonomy in order to forge a successful relationship with this “updated” version of your kid. We asked some experts for parenting tips to help you keep the channels of communication open between you and your pre-teen—and have a smoother transition into the teen years. 1. Don’t feel rejected by their newfound independence It’s appropriate for kids this age to start turning away from their parents and relying more and more on friends, but parents can take their pre-teen’s withdrawal as rejection. “All too often parents personalize some of the distance that occurs and misinterpret it as a willful refusal or maybe oppositional behavior,” says Catherine Steiner-Adair, a Harvard psychologist, schools consultant, and author of The Big Disconnect. Beware of trying to force information out of a resistant tween. “This is a time when children really start to have secrets from us,” says Dr. Steiner-Adair, “and parents who have a low tolerance for that transition — they want to know everything — can alienate their children by being too inquisitive.” 2. Set aside special time with your child It’s often tough to get pre-teens to open up and talk. Laura Kirmayer, a clinical psychologist, suggests establishing a special period of one-on-one time once or twice a week that you spend with your tween, where you’re providing undivided attention ,and you’re not working or texting at the same time, In doing this you’re not only improving your relationship, you’re also teaching interpersonal skills that are going to be crucial in the future. “That quality time is really key,” Dr. Kirmayer says, “and it’s something that we might overlook because our kids might be saying they don’t want it and be pulling away. And we might unintentionally collude with that tendency.” 3. Try the indirect approach When they were younger you could ask direct questions. How was school? How did you do on the test? Now, the direct approach — carpet-bombing them with questions about school and their day — doesn’t work. Suddenly that feels overwhelming and intrusive. And it’s going to backfire. If anything, says Dr. Kirmayer, you have to take the opposite approach and position yourself as mostly just a listener: “If you actually just sit down, without questions, and just listen, you’re more likely to get the information about your child’s life that you’re wanting.” Dr. Kirmayer says this approach gives kids the message that “this is a place where they can come and talk, and they have permission to say anything that they’re thinking or feeling.” Sometimes you’ll be able to help and give advice—but don’t try to step in and solve all their problems. Other times you’ll just be there to empathize with how hard it is to deal with whatever they’re going through. 4. Don’t be overly judgmental “At this age your children are watching you very astutely to hear how judgmental you are,” advises Dr. Steiner-Adair. “They are taking their cues on how you talk about other people’s children, especially children that get into trouble — how that girl dresses, or that boy has good manners or bad manners. And they are watching and deciding whether you are harsh or critical or judgmental.” She gives the example of the parent who says, “‘I can’t believe they posted this picture on Facebook! If we were their parents we’d be mortified.’ Or ‘I can’t believe they sent that YouTube video around!’ They are commenting on behaviors that need commenting on, but the intensity and the rigidity of their judgment is what backfires.” 5. Watch what they watch with them. Beginning in middle school, watching the stuff that your child wants to watch with them and being able to laugh at it and talk about it is an important way to connect and to be able to discuss subjects that would otherwise be taboo. “Don’t get too intense in how you critique the values,” says Dr. Steiner-Adair. It’s our job as parents, she adds, to help both boys and girls recognize how the media instills the gender code — the barrage of cultural messages that tell kids what it “means” to be a boy or a girl—and to help them identify when something crosses the line from teasing to mean. But tread lightly and use humor. 6. Don’t be afraid to start conversations about sex and drugs The unfortunate reality is that kids are starting to experiment with drugs and alcohol as early as 9 or 10. And according to Dr. Kirmayer, “Sexual development is a big part of this age, and it’s when we first start to see eating disorders arise, so these are key years for us to be building a strong foundation and giving them developmentally appropriate information.” Dr. Kirmayer suggests providing your tween with information and resources on sexuality without the pressure of a big “talk.” She recommends books like The Boy’s Body Book (by Kelli Dunham) and, for girls, The Care and Keeping of You (by Valarie Schaefer) to introduce sexual development and Ten Talks Parents Must Have With Their Children About Drugs and Choices (by Dominic Cappello) to bring up the subject of drugs. “They are going to be exposed to this stuff through their peer group,” she says. “You want to provide them with information that is accurate, but you want to do it in a way that isn’t overwhelming. Let them have the book on their bookshelf so that they can look through it and come to you with questions.” Dr. Steiner-Adair’s book The Big Disconnect also offers scripts and advice about how to talk to your children about sex. 7. Don’t overreact  Dr. Steiner-Adair warns against being the mom or dad who, in a bad situation, makes things worse. She gives this example: “Your child comes in crying; they weren’t invited to a sleepover. They see a photo of it on Instagram or Snapchat. The parent says, ‘Oh my god, I can’t believe you weren’t invited! That’s horrible! I’m going to call the mother.’” The crazy parent amplifies the drama, throwing fuel on the pre-adolescent’s already hyper-reactive flame. They make their kids more upset. 8. Don’t be “clueless” either At the other extreme, don’t be a parent who “just ignores stuff,” says Dr. Steiner-Adair. You risk seeming oblivious or unconcerned to kids. When a teenager is caught hosting a party with alcohol, the clueless parent might say, “‘Oh, that’s just kids getting drunk at a 10th grade party.’ So kids watch their older siblings getting away with everything without consequences and they think, ‘Great, why would I tell them anything? Why would I turn to them?’” 9. Encourage sports for girls Girls’ self-esteem peaks at the tender age of 9 and then drops off from there, but research shows girls who play on teams have higher self-esteem. Girls on sports teams also tend to do better academically and have fewer body image issues. Anea Bogue, creator of an empowerment program for girls called REALgirl, notes, “There’s a very common correlation, in my experience, between girls who play team sports and girls who suffer less with low self-esteem because they are looking within and to other girls for their value, as opposed to looking to boys for validation.” 10. Nurture your boy’s emotional side “One of the really hard things for boys at this age is that the messages from the culture about their capacity for love, real friendships, and relationships are so harmful to them,” says Dr. Steiner-Adair. “They say that anything to do with real feelings — love, sadness, vulnerability — is girly, therefore bad.” At the very least parents should do everything they can to encourage boys to be sensitive and vulnerable at home, while at the same time acknowledging the reality that those traits might not go over well at school. “You can tell him,” Dr. Steiner-Adair explains, “that at 15 or 16, when he wants to have a girlfriend, this is going to serve him really well.” Finding just the right balance with your tween probably won’t be the easiest parenting job you’ve ever had. It will take some trial and error, but keeping the channels of communication open during these years is well worth the work you’ll have to put in. So, this week is going to be different on Reefer Reels N Reviews. I haven’t actually seen this movie. I have been wanting to, barely know anything about what it is other than Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling are in it. So let’s see how this review goes today!

Opening to people in traffic, everyone listening to different music. And breaking into our musical right away. People getting out of cars to sing and dance. And of course, there is that one van randomly full of musicians in the back just ready to play. Lol. Then we have a guy parkouring across all the cars. When you look at what they pan out to for the highway it totally doesn’t seem like there should be that traffic on that overpass. Very misplaced.

Why is Emma Stone missing a headrest?? So, she is a struggling actress with big dream. Has 4 roommates who are encouraging and seem like they are all best friends. We shall see if that lasts. They all go to this party together in one car, and then after the number Emma is going back to her car, but it ends up being towed. Why is she walking home alone? Did all of her roommates hook up with someone? How depressing.

I was just looking through iMDB at the cast list. I know like 2 other people that are in this...

Now to switch to Ryan and see what he did with that day. Enter the other person I know in this film. J.K. Simmons. Looks like he is Ryan’s boss. He plays the piano at a restaurant. I never knew that he played the piano. Mainly because I’m too busy admiring his body, or thinking about it if I’m being honest lolol.

I just thought about it and this is, at least that I know of, the second movie that Gosling and Stone have been in together. There were in Crazy Stupid Love with Steve Carrell and Julianne Moore. Oh, I LOOOOOVE Julianne! I need to watch 13 Ghosts next I think 😊

Back to the movie. Ryan just got fired and Emma is just staring at him. And their first real encounter is not great. Like at all.

Time for another party. At least this one is playing the type of music I like lol. The dancing she is doing is like terrible. But I guess that was the point lol. Hehehe, Ryan just told Emma, “Guess I’ll see you in the movies.” I know it is just for the movie, but it’s ironic. OMG! Ryan just told her to put the car key to her chin to make you’re a head an antenna. MY DAD TOLD ME ABOUT THAT. I’ve NEVER heard that from anyone buy him before! Sorry. Got a little to excited about something dumb. Lol

I’m only 30mins in and already almost 500 words. This will be a long one. I’m sure I’ll delete some stuff during the editing process. Like probably this. How funny would it be if it stays 😂

Well time for the first pause. I just munched on some backed flaming hot Cheetos with limon and now I need some more water. Still have an hour and 20mins left in the movie. And got more snacks lol.

Maybe I shouldn’t have eaten before this part. They are in the planetarium and they just start floating and now they are in the clouds and dancing like in the Milky Way. Talk about trippy…

I do thing that Emma and Ryan always make a cute couple. Jealous of course because he is one hunk of a man. But I mean. I understand lolol.

And here is the other person I recognize, John Legend! He’s wonderful and he is so lucky to have the ever-beautiful Chrissy Tegan as his wife. The music in this movie is beautiful.

So as I’m coming to the end of the movie I’ll sum up some of what I’m thinking since I haven’t seen it before so I had to focus a little more. Have to say, this wasn’t my favorite process so doing these will be rare.

And a 3rd I didn't see on the list, because it has soooo many people in it, is Tom Everett Scott. I loooove him as Guy Patterson in That Thing You Do! Great movie with Tom Hanks if you've never seen it.

This movie is about two dreamers who want different, yet similar things. They are both artists and they meet and fall in love. They help each other grow and realize their dreams. Sure it’s a great premise for a movie. But not one of my favorites.

 So, I don’t know the next time I’ll watch it, if ever. Not that I don’t think they did a good job, because it is a good movie. But it was all a little predictable. Most movies are, but I mean from the opening dance number I was expecting all of what happened.

DWTS S33 Premiere Thoughts

I am the biggest dancing with the stars fan so I decided I'm going to word vomit all my thoughts this year.

Opening number slapped. JENNA AND VAL ALWAYS. They're literally so awesome.

Joey actually did SO good. He kept time so well and he wasn't stiff so kudos to him. DANG 7s on week on. Honestly deserved imo.

I literally cannot wait until Steven and Illona.

Not the hot joke already. Hmmmm something doesn't seem right. I cant place it, maybe off beat? Okay nobody come at me, but I feel like she's almost too confident. I see potential though. I feel like GLeb doesn't liker her 💀

Awww she seems so nervous. That was a bit ummm stiff. Which i feel like I should have expected. Perfectly said Carrie Ann. She said it better than I did, but that what I was trying to say. I literally love her so much. She actually means so much to me.

Reginald seems like such a sweet guy. I feel like Emma was actually a great pairing for him casue shes super sweet too. Bless him. I know he won't last long but hes cute.

We got in the car, laughing from the arcade, we just played DDR as our last activity of the date and now we were going to drive home. I felt so content. "My lady." he said as he opened the passenger side door with a smile. "Thank you good sir." I giggled as I curtsied, pulling at the sides of my nonexistent skirt. I hopped into the passenger side and I waited for him to shut the door and get in himself. I looked over to the driver's seat as he got in. His brown, shaggy hair cascading in layers as he moved and shuffled in his seat, fastening his seatbelt, filling the current silence with nothing more than a "click". His green eyes met mine and the only thought I could think was "Fuck. He's beautiful." I tried to hide my ever growing smile and I turned away to break his gaze. "Look at me, my dear. You know I love to look at your eyes." he murmured, just above a whisper. Heat crept into my cheeks as I smiled again and turned my head to meet his green eyes. "You're gorgeous. I envy the air..." he said softly. "What?" I laughed. He often made short yet odd statements like that. "You see, my love. I envy the air because it hears your breath, it hears your cries, every one of your words spoken, and it can hold you for eternity. I envy its ability to hold you for so long. Your touch is to die for, my love." He said. I smiled at his cheesy poetry. "You really do have a way with words, Ian." I said, half giggling. "One would have to be blind to not be inspired by a face such as yours." Ian replied, a hand reaching up to cup my cheek. "You're so red and flushed. It's cute." He continued. I squeezed my eyes shut as a giggle escaped my throat. He always knew that the cheesy poetry would fluster me. He was so soft and gentle and his way with words would always find a way to charm me, no matter what mood I was in.

Mutual love hung in the air. The atmosphere went thick as we both went silent, holding each other's gazes. Killian's face suddenly started to fall serious. He removed his hand from my cheek. "Julianne..." he said, in a firm tone. I gasped and was taken aback. He never called me Julianne. "Why are you so serious, all of a sudden?" I asked.

"Julianne. I..."

"What?"

"I must tell you something."

"What is it?" I asked, dread forming a ball in my throat.

"My love. I can't simply tell you here."

"What?"

"I'm going to say something that is probably going to break your heart."

"Then don't..."

"It's not that simple, Julianne."

"Stop calling me that!"

"You need to know though."

"No. No I don't."

"It's very serious, my love."

"Fine! Fuck it! Just. Spit it out!" I shouted, tears pricking my eyes. Killian was taken aback by my outburst. His hand landed on top of mine and his thumb caressed the back of my hand. "My love..." he started, "I. I am dying." the words pierced through me like ice picks. The tears that started to form were now rolling down my cheeks. "What do you mean?" I whispered, my breath shaky.

"I have Huntington's... I don't know when I'll die. Or how long I have left. My mother died of it when she was 30."

I gasped. "No no no!" I repeated over and over. Wailing as I flung myself into his chest. I could feel my heart race as it broke into a million pieces and the sound was so loud in my ears.

"It'll be okay, my dear." Killian whispered into my hair.

"It'll never be okay! I'm going to lose you! The love of my life!" I sobbed.

"I know. But I will be in the air, in the earth, I'll listen to your cries, your words, I'll collect your tears. I will still be with you. If you choose to be with another man, I wouldn't hold that against you." he said, his voice steady but low.

"I couldn't be with anyone else! I love you too much! You have my entire heart and when you die, my heart will die with you." My chest heaved with every sob and it ached with every breath. My arms trembled and my lips quivered. The unstoppable flow of tears streaming from my eyes made them burn. My cheeks were hot and I could feel all of these things. I was hyper aware of every physical thing I was feeling. However I didn't know how I felt emotionally.

I looked into the grave that was dug for my love. His casket was slowly lowered into it and it hit the ground with a soft thud. The casket was then covered with soft earth. I sat there and watched as the men shovelled the dirt into Killian's grave.

"I love you." I said as I helped them shovel the last mound of dirt onto his grave. I gestured to give the shovel back to the man I had taken it from, he merely shook his head and said "You do the honours of patting his grave down." I was honoured and I patted the dirt down. "Thank you gentlemen." I thanked the men who helped with the funeral and gave them a generous amount of money.

Our son led the way to his father's grave, flower in hand and a paper in another. "Look! It's dad!" Darcy exclaimed as he pointed to his father's headstone. "Yes, yes it is." I replied, a smile forming on my lips. I held a bouquet of lilies, Killian always loved lilies. I placed the bouquet down on Killian's grave and Darcy put his piece of paper with a poem scrawled on it, under the lilies and his wild flower next to my bouquet. "Do you think dad will like it?" Darcy asked me. "I think he'll love it." I replied, looking at my son's hopeful face. "Come here, little chap." I said, holding my arms out for a hug. Darcy ran into them and hugged me and then turned to look at his dad's gravestone. "Your dad will always be in the air. Remember that."

"I'm going to say something that is probably going to break your heart."

"Then don't say it."
