Profiles in Villainy
The Black Widow
The despotic Black Widow (sometimes known as ‘The Spider Woman’) ruled over an alien world populated by powerful insect-like aliens called the Tarantopods. Shrewd, cunning and cruel, The Widow was able to entirely subjugate these Tarantopods and used their powers to enact a plan of conquest throughout the galaxy. This deplorable scheme was ultimately thwarted by the intrepid Space Ghost and it would prove the first of many altercations between the villains and the space-faring hero.
The Black Widow would go on to help found the Council of Doom, a collection of villains who pooled their resources in an effort to finally defeat Space Ghost. The Council’s endeavor failed and The Black Widow ultimately retired from villainy. She had come to fall in love with Space Ghost and hoped that her turning over a new leaf might win her his affections.
She later traveled to earth where she became captivated by the quaffed Lothario named Jonny Bravo. Bravo rebuffed the Widow’s romantic advances, ultimately contributing to her to return to a life of super villainy.
Actress Ginny Tyler provided the voice for the villainess in the original Space Ghost series; while actress Tanya Bergen voiced her in Space Ghost Coast to Coast and actress Judy Tenuta voiced her in her appearance in the Jonny Bravo series. The Black Widow first appeared in an episode of Space Ghost entitled ‘The Web’ airing on September 17th, 1966.

Is space ghost yaoi or am i asking the wrong blog
this is the third ask you've sent me about this so i'll be a little blunt about why i didn't answer the first one
i am a hater at heart. i love gossip forums. i love to gossip. i understand it. but i think, in specifically the case you mentioned, this guy is likely to namesearch and i don't know a damn thing about it to have an opinion. i think if his work did become more popular it would be very funny. i think if it does not it would also be very funny.
but i don't know enough about nor do i care to know enough about to form an opinion about this dude and i'm a little confused as to why you brought it to me. and also it feels a little mean, particularly in the case of someone working on something this small.
i've written and drawn a comic that sucked and it was hard to do, i feel a lot more empathy for people who gas themselves up over this nowadays then i did when i was a bitchy twenty something (not to say i'm not bitchy now, but i'm 30, mostly i just bitch about my neighbors)
anyway, re: space ghost yaoi. i think the mantis wants to bait something out of him but he's in a committed relationship with judy tenuta (rest in peace goddess)

Space Ghost Week
Wherein we cover an entire season of Space Ghost Coast to Coast over the course of a week
Space Ghost Coast to Coast #37: “Anniversary” | August 8, 1997 | S04E04
The 37th episode anniversary special! YEARS before The Simpsons did their 138th episode special! Well, actually I just did some googling and I guess this came after. But it was still YEARS after. Let it be known, the “years” part of that statement was still correct.
This is another solid episode featuring two or three return guests, if Chad counts. If he does, lord help you and your wicked heart. He should never count, for he is bearded. Judy Tenuta and Bobcat Goldthwait return and Space Ghost finds that it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. He’s very disappointed with these guests, even though they both sing for him. Judy does a very selfless thing by exclaiming “look at this!” before jutting her crotch out towards the camera before sitting back down in her chair. What a sport. May she rest in peace (she died recently! That sucks!).
This episode has a very memorable bit at the end where they roll a “best of” clip package that’s just clips of Space Ghost being brutalized from his old action show. There is also a disgusting display of anti-French bigotry, very on brand for writer Evan Dorkin (Sarah Dyer also wrote this, but probably wrote all the nice, non-rude jokes, I’m guessing)
MAIL BAG
Since my queue is more rapid during Space Ghost week, the Mail Bag will probably only happen once every few posts. I’m giving preference to the more timely messages, as always:
mattpanreblogsstuff writes:
"Rehearsal" is a special episode for me in that it was one of the first episodes of Tad I had watched. I bought volumes 2 and 3 at a pawnshop when I was 12, and in my first sitting was "Rehearsal". I wasn't fully devoted to SG quite yet but I was still getting pretty engaged.
Also yes, RIP Clay. I always considered him to be a *co*-creator of C2C because he contributed so much to the show and helped make it work. Motherfucker talent, shame he passed away.
Really terrible and senseless the way he passed, and it sounds like he was not treated too well by Cartoon Network. He left behind a great legacy for sure, but if you haven’t seen his old YouTube channel, it’s worth checking out! Lotsa good ephemera in there.
iirc Gallagher actually does come up in the unedited bob & David interview that's on the DVD. I forget why. They fib that they smash watermelons as part of their act I think
I actually did watch this but I was a little distracted so it’s actually highly likely I missed this. But! I did catch a line that was reused in BooBooKitty. Stay tuned for that.
