Haaaaiiii everyone!
Hope you're always happy and helathy wherever you are 💗
This the chapter 2 of my latest kakayama fic.
Happy reading! 🥰
Stay (chapter 2)
"I will hold a soft opening party to celebrate my new hotel that I built in Konoha Village. It's a beautiful village, you know?" Said obito on phone one day.
"I know.." answered kakashi shortly.
"You kidding me..."
"I am not kidding. I've ever lived there before. Why do you tell me about it?"
"You can show your paintings there. I will prepare a special room for that. So all the guests can enjoy the atmosphere of the village and the hotel more. There will be some important persons come there, my family business's partners. All the rich people in this country. Maybe they will be interested in your paintings. How's that?
Kakashi didn't answer immediately.
"Pleaseeeee..." said Obito.
Kakashi sighed heavily "Alright..."
Back to Konoha is a bittersweet thing for Kakashi. It's sweet, so sweet even, because he found his first love from the very first sight there, and they have many sweet memories too. But it's also bitter because he had to leave his first love suddenly without any chance to say goodbye directly. And he can't find him anywhere.
He went there last year after he finished his art bachelor's degree abroad. But he couldn't find him. He went to his house but unluckily he and his father had moved several years before, and no neighbors knew where they moved.
But as this is his best-fried request, he will do it.
******
"Where are you guys? What took you so long?" Asked obito on phone.
"Sorry Obito...there are several things that we have to fix first for the engagement event. But we're on our way now. We'll be there in an hour." Rin answered.
"Great! Because I am already starving..."
"Then why don't you eat first. You'll be dumber when you're hungry..." said Kakashi casually while driving. Rin who was sitting beside him chukled.
"Yeah...yeah...You can say that easily, bakashi! Because that beautiful lady next to you who will be your wife soon never let you starving. Ooh...poor me...a handsome and rich single man who are picking snacks and soft drinks alone to reduce my starving..."
"Obito...." Rin blushed and chuckled. "Maybe you'll find someone there..."
"Yeah...hopefully. By the way guys, there are some good restaurants here. I want to pick you...Aaww! Hey! Watch your step, man!"
"Obito? What's going on?" Rin asked.
"Someone bumped into me...very annoying..." replied Obito while fixing his earphones.
"Are you sure he hit you? Maybe you were the one who hit him because you're starving and already get dumber..." said Kakashi.
"Kakashi..." said Rin.
"Clearly he did! Cause I am just walking casually towards the cashier, while he walks like he's being chased by a ghost... Heh...wait...where is my wallet???" Obito reached into his trouser pocket.
"Something wrong, sir?" Asked the cashier.
"Umm...I am sure I saved my wallet in my pocket, but...." then Obito realized... "My wallet was stolen! It must be the man! Heeeyyy!" Obito shouted for the man who had hit him. "Thieeeff!!!"
Suddenly the people in the supermarket were shocked and turned to Obito. "Stop him! He is a thief! He stole my wallet!!!"
Obito's shout made the thief speed up his running, so he didn't realize that a cleaning staff had deliberately spilled water in front of him and made him slip. Then the cleaning staff who spilled the water searched the thief and found a wallet in his jacket pocket.
"Is this your wallet, sir?" Asked the cleaning staff.
"Oh...yeah...it is.... Thanks..."
"No problem..." The cleaning staff friendly smile made his wide eyes curve.
"So sweet..." thought Obito.
Then two security staffs appeared and arrested the thief.
"Obito? Thief? What happened?" Rin asked worriedly.
"No...nothing serious....." Obito sighed.
"You okay, dude?" asked kakashi.
"Yeah...I'm okay. I'll see you later guys. I'll share the restaurant's location. Bye." Obito pressed the red button on his smartphone screen. Then he rushed to complete the transaction at the cashier. Then looked for the cleaning staff who had helped him. But he couldn't find him. Then he asked one of the staff.
"Oh...do you mean tenzo?" Asked the staff.
"Tenzo?"
"Yes, a cleaning staff with wide eyes..."
"Oh...yes...yes...do you know where he is now?"
"I'm sure he is on his way to going home now, because his shift is done and he always goes home as soon as he finishes his job..."
"Oh...no...Do you know where he lives?"
"I'm sorry I don't know sir. But you can fine him at the backdoor, all staff will pass that door to go home. You can exit through the front door and turn into the small alley to the right of this supermarket..."
"I see. Thanks!" Obito immediately came out and turned into the alley that the staff had referred to earlier. Just as he turned he saw Tenzo, with a different appearance. If earlier he was wearing a uniform and hat, this time he was wearing a t-shirt and jeans with long brunet hair that flowed down to his shoulders.
"Hey..." Greeted Obito.
Tenzo was a little surprised then confirmed who the man in front of him was talking to. Since there was no one else besides him, it meant that the man in front of him was talking to him. "Oh...hey..."
"Tenzo, right?"
"I am...."
"I am Obito..." Obito stretched out his right hand. Tenzo shook Obito's hand hesitantly. "I want to thank...again...for your help earlier...to save my wallet from that thief..." said Obito.
"Oh...you're welcome..." answered Tenzo kindly.
"I don't know what will happen next if you don't help me..."
Tenzo smiled. It looks sweeter and makes Obito's chicks warm. He cleared his throat, "Umm...would you...would you mind having lunch with me. I...I want to treat you..." Obito rubbed his neck nervously.
"Oh...you're so kind. But I am sorry, I have to go know. I already have an appointment..."
"Oooh...I see. It's alright. Umm...can I...can I have your number, just in case we can have lunch together one day?"
"I'm sorry...I don't have a phone..."
"Oh...fine...it's alright...I can meet you again here, right?"
"Yes. I am sorry, I have to go now..." said Tenzo.
"Okay. Nice too meet you, Tenzo..."
"Nice to meet you too, Obito..."
Tenzo bowed then left. Obito was still amazed "Usually it's so easy for me to make someone be amazed. I think this one is different.... more challenging. Maybe Rin was right. I'll find someone here..." He smiled.
******
Danzo advised him to go home immediately after work, because there was something important he wanted to say. That's why Tenzo ran towards his house. It didn't matter to him, because running through Konoha village had been his routine since he was still at school. While running, he surveyed his village. A lot has changed over the last 8 years. The village is still green and beautiful, but there is starting to be development here and there. He really hopes that no matter how much development occurs, it will not damage the village where he was born and a place that holds many memories, both beautiful and sad memories.
As soon as he arrived in front of his house, Tenzo saw a luxury car parked in front of his house. "Whose car? Are there any guests?" he thought. Then he opened the front door and entered his house.
"I'm home!" Said tenzo.
"Oooh...there you are! Danzo's pretty son!" Said someone.
Tenzo was surprised. A fat middle-aged man sat in the living room holding a cane, and a young man stood next to him looking like a bodyguard while his father sat on the opposite side.
"Tenzo...This is Mr Murayama...Great him!"
Even though Tenzo was a little doubtful and suspicious of the guest, he bowed in respect.
"Tenzo...what a sweet name! As sweet as the look. You're so lucky, Danzo..." the man named Murayama got up from his seat using a stick and walked over to Tenzo. Tenzo started to feel that something's wrong, he stepped back.
"Oh...don't be afraid dear. From now on you will get a very much better life with me..." Murayama was about to touch Tenzo's long hair. But tenzo immediately brushed Murayama's hand away.
"Don't touch me!" Said Tenzo.
Murayama laughed. "Well...well...apparently so brave too. No problem. I like it...."
"What do you want? Dad?"
"Tenzo, starting today you have to live with Mr Murayama..." said Danzo looking down.
"What??? Why???"
"Of course to pay off your poor father's debts, dear..." said Murayama.
"What????"
"Come here, my dear..." Murayama was about to take Tenzo's hand. But Tenzo brushed it off again and kicked hard right at Murayama's dick. Murayama immediately bent over in pain. The bodyguard immediately approached to arrest Tenzo, but Tenzo quickly took a small spray from his bag and sprayed it right into the bodyguard's eyes. The bodyguard immediately covered his face because it hurt.
"Tenzo!" Said Danzo getting up from his seat.
Tenzo didn't care, he immediately left the house and ran as fast as he could.
******
"The food is soooo delicious, Obito!" Rin said in the car. He, kakashi, and obito had just finished lunch at a seafood restaurant. And now they're on their way to Obito's hotel.
"My hotel staff told me about the restaurant. She said there are some other good restaurants too here. Is that right, kakashi? You've ever lived here, right?" Asked obito from the sit behind.
"Mhm..."
"Really? You've never told me, kakashi?" Said Rin.
"I lived here when I was at junior high school, but it was only couple months. I had to go back to capital city because my father's boss passed away, and my father had to be his successor..."
"I see..." said Rin.
"My staff also said that there are some beautiful spots here..." said Obito.
"That's true. I'll take you to one of the most beautiful spots here..." Kakashi turned his car towards the only beach in Konoha village.
15 minutes later they arrived at the beach. Rin immediately took off her high heels and felt the soft sand. Obito stretched his body while enjoying the breeze. While Kakashi closed his eyes, feeling memory after memory with Tenzo flash through his mind like movie, and his chest filled with emotions. He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.
"Hey guys...I can do something..." Said Kakashi. Rin and Obito turned and saw Kakashi taking a piece of wood and drawing something on the sand. Kakashi drew the faces of Rin, Obito, and himself.
"It's so beautiful, Kakashi!"
"Hey hey...why do you draw me so weird like that?"
"Because it is really you..." Kakashi answered casually. Rin chukled.
Meanwhile on the road by the beach, Tenzo stopped running. His breath was still short. He wiped his tears and took a closer look at a car parked there. Then he turned his gaze towards the beach. He gasped. There is someone who is drawing on the sand, someone with silver hair and masked face. There's no mistaking it...that's for sure....it must be him....
Tenzo immediately ran and hugged the person from behind.
"Tenzo?" Asked Obito confused.
Rin was shocked and confused too, really didn't expect what was happening..."Tenzo?"
Kakashi also shocked...very shocked...
"Tenz... Is that you?" asked kakashi
Tenzo still crying, tightening his hug "Senpai..."

Hello, I am on a mission here, as you know. I'd like to know about Rivulets of Destruction and Moment of Truth, pleaseeeee
Hehe well I couldn't live with myself if I were the one standing in the way of your mission — your wishes are my command (;
About Rivulets of Destruction:
What is this?! A non-Rivusa fic?! *gasp* So this one is Greysha, actually, and it started as a really dark and terrible thought that I had to write down and turn into a full-blown one-shot. I'm only about halfway into it at the moment and, if I had an actual heart, I think I would've cried while writing it - that is the level of angst I'm diving into here. I feel like the title is a pretty good indicator of that, though. It was hard finding a small blurb that wouldn't give too much away but I think this one will do nicely:
She brushed a strand of onyx hair from his temple. "You'll need to be careful tomorrow." "I'm always careful." Aisha huffed. "Alright, then you need to be more careful. I think they're planning to take down as many Blood Witches as possible." She caught his eyes. "Especially anyone with enough skill and power to become the next leader." "Eliminate every head of the hydra." "Precisely. And that might include you." She played with his fingers nervously. "We've all got clearance to transform if needed. And the Specialists are fighting to kill." "I understand. I don't intend to fight, Aisha. I'm keeping to the outskirts until your signal." Grey's expression hardened. "You need to be careful as well. He's a lunatic and he knows he's losing. A desperate man is a dangerous man." "I'm always careful," she echoed his words. "I mean it, Aisha -- no risks, no chances." She studied him, watched as he shaped his concern into the anger he presented to the world. Like just the potential of what might happen consumed him with wrath. It petrified her, seeing that expression. Wondering how he might react if she died.
About Moment of Truth:
Well, that didn't last too long - back to Rivusa! This one will be about a darker theme (just torture, no biggie..), but as I've finished about a third of it, it has, quite ironically, taken on a lighter, snarkier tone than I originally intended. And I think I'm really liking it! My original train of thought: Musa's mind fairy abilities would probably make her a fantastic torturer/interrogator, no?
"Do you know why Sky stopped meeting you?" "I do." He clenches his jaw to prevent himself from saying more but she tugs at his mind anyway, urging his tongue to form words even as he holds them back. It's possible for him to omit information to avoid outright lying to her, but she doesn't make it easy. "Huh. And does—” Musa punctuates her question by leaning forward and poking her soft finger, the finger that used to stroke his cheek with fondness, hard into the bruise under Riven's cheekbone. “—that hurt?" "Uh, yes, Muse. It really does." He flinches, then squirms as she applies another jot of pressure, leaning close enough for him to douse his lungs with her floral scent, close enough for him to lean forward and kiss her again, before backing away. "Fuck this. Musa, you know I'm not Rosalind's man." "Then why did you give Sky a dupe instead of the Blood Witch book?" She crosses her arms. Struggling for patience at her questions and composure at her presence, he bit out, "I told you it was only a matter of time before Dane found me out. He must've switched them before I left to meet Sky." "Hm. Wrong answer, I'm afraid." Despite her apologetic words, there's a savage glee in the violet glow of her eyes. "I'm on your bloody side, you mad fairy! Go ask—Aaaahhghh! Fuck!" Within some chamber of his consciousness, Riven knows that it only feels like there are shards of glass being embedded into his bound forearms, but the piercing depth and sharp accuracy of the agony is... extremely convincing. He swears he can even hear the glass hit his bone. He's been a witness to more methods of cruel and unusual punishment than the average soldier, being Rosalind's puppet all those years. With an unhinged enthusiasm mental "exercises" and a perverse desire to "prepare" Riven for his role by Andreas' side, his mind is fully equipped to fortify itself against a sensory cortex hallucinatory attack. He'd also been on both sides of torture, so he understood the mechanics and intent. But this— her interrogation was unfettered by the limits of things like blood or anatomical endurance. And it's more creative and gruesome than Riven had imagined him, or Rosalind for that matter, could ever be.
#another long one but you did ask for two in one haha#I think you might've picked the lightest and darkest fics in the bunch too so go you#had to pack in some *foreshadowing*#greysha#rivusa#riven x musa#fate: the winx saga#ftws ask games#my writing#nova writes#ask me things

There are more I would like to add for this Fluffy Brazilian Spanish Death Wolfo:
There is even more proof of him having a Heart, you see he doesn't just give chances for Puss to Run but also Strike and that's why he was so chill with the first encounter with Puss because he doesn't expect Puss to understand his mistakes the first time round and that's why he dodges and irritate Puss's Attacks as "Slow" "Sloppy" and "Sad" He's ✨Savouring✨ it basically asking him to live his life properly and don't around the Bush. He's a Teacher, a symbol of Tough Love.
More proof can be shown at the end when Puss fought for his life against Death and won, Death growled trying to find more reasons to be mad at Puss but he can't and BREAKS CHARACTER with his Spanish Outburst which likely translated to English as, "Why the hell did I play with/chase after my food!" Which could be depicted in two ways,
1) He REALLY WANTED to kill Puss and be done with this because afterall Puss defied life by being Reckless or 2) He realize that Puss indeed learnt his Lesson and doesn't want to kill him instead he's like, "Oh fuck Finally! He learnt his Lesson" but instead of relief and since still in the presence of Puss and everyone else he hides his true feelings by saying whatever he said in his Spanish Outburst and breathes in and out to get back into character
Which is further proven by his Satisfaction when he says, "Live your Life Puss in Boots....Live it Well" and turning back to him with a faint Smirk, " You know, we'll meet again, right?" It's Ironic because he is ALWAYS WATCHING, but the chance that however Puss may grow in the Future, he'll be there to see it and make sure he will never forget the Lesson he taught him and one day instead of laughing at him, Puss would embrace him like an Old Friend because at the Very Least he enjoyed this life to the fullest and lived it well.
He could continue fighting for that life even when Death comes for him again at an old age, Death knows he will take him but would be eager for a Final Duel before taking him as he has yet to settle the Score, because at this point he really pretty much an Old Friend to Puss.
But YES CALL DEATH A GOOD BOI, HE HIDES HIS SOFTNESS UNDER A BLANKET OF INTIMIDATION, ARTISTS DO YOUR THING AND LET US SCRITCH THIS WOLFO PLEASEEEEE
Anyone just wanna scritch and pet the Wolf from Puss in Boots 2?
Like he's all menacing and Intimidating to Puss, but when you think about it, he's really just teaching him how not to be Reckless with Life and that's why when the Wolf fights is Fast and Swift and yet does all the Scary things so he could scare his opponent and seeing them run away giving them the chance to live once again, he's basically savouring this as much as he can because he knows he will get you one day and you won't be able to run or Hide from it.
Man's Dedicated to his Job as Grim Reaper, but you could hear a Faint Sadness from his Voice when he says, "Everyone thinks they have a chance to Defeat me...but no one has Escaped from me yet" when he says that, he doesn't just mean Puss but also to EVERYONE and he's sad because he doesn't have a Worthy opponent to match his Power because everyone that he fights with would die right in his hands.
That's why I want to pet his fluffy Cheeks and rub his cute ears because he has seen alot, he's DEATH he's seen everything from every Person's life, and that's why one must pet the Wolf Grim Reaper because despite all the Pain that he has seen and all lives he may have possibly ruined or inevitably caused , he's just doing his Job and being a Good boy.
YES CALL DEATH A GOOD BOI RIGHT NOW
LOOK AT HIM, I WANT TO PET HIS FLUFFY CHEEKS.
#give death a Hug#puss in boots the last wish spoilers#death puss in boots the last wish#grim reaper puss in boots#wolf puss in boots#call death a good boi#please give him a hug#wolf bounty hunter#wolf#puss in boots the last wish#spoilers#give a scritch behind the ears#and a lots of Belly rubs#FLUFFY CHEEKS ARE FLUFFY CHEEKS#i want to pet him so bad too#his tail would wag at being called a good boi#indeed#GOOD BOY REAPER#good boy wolfo#I LOVE WOLVES#ARTISTS DO YOUR THING PLEASEEE

Rough Morning
Pairings: Daddy!stucky x Little!reader
Warning: little reader, dd/lg themes, talk about nightmares
A/N: Ahhh this is my first fic, so pleaseeeee don’t hate me if the writing is awful. I literally wrote this just now and it’s like 2am. If anyone wants any more fics like this then let me know<33
It was almost noon but Bucky was still sleeping on the couch. You couldn’t really blame him since he spent hours trying to go to sleep, only to be woken up by the same nightmares again. In an effort to distract his mind, he moved to the living room and decided to watch a movie with them his little and Steve. Eventually he was able to fall asleep after he had a chance to calm down a bit.
However, he quickly woke up after hearing dome loud noises coming from the front door, making him smile knowing that it was most likely Y/N and Steve coming back home from the cafe with some breakfast. He rubbed his eyes a bit to fully wake himself up before getting off the couch to walk to the front door to greet them, however, he stopped himself when he heard Steve’s voice.
“Go to your room. Right now. If I hear another sound come out of that troublesome mouth of yours I promise I will have you bent over my knee within seconds.” As soon as Bucky heard this he knew you must have really pissed Steve off, given that he’s the less stricter of the two he’d never yell at you like that unless he had a good reason.
“B-but Daddy what about brunc-“
“What did I just say little girl? You know what, you’re clearly not taking this seriously. Let’s see if you’re still bratty after a little trip over my knee huh?” Bucky couldn’t just keep listening anymore and quickly walked over to them to try to diffuse the situation a bit.
“Hey hey! Stop it Steve. What happened?” Bucky quickly picked you up while talking to Steve, noticing the tears building up in your eyes. He could tell that it was breaking Steve’s heart to see you this upset but he still kept his angry face on.
“Why don’t you ask little miss brat why she is about to have a sore bum with my handprint on it” Steve huffed and grabbed his coffee cup before storming off upstairs.
“Babydoll? Hey it’s okay…it’s alright baby…Dada is here. What’s going in that pretty little head of yours huh? Tell Dada what happened please” Bucky quickly wraps his arms around you, engulfing you into a tight embrace while you softly cry on his shoulder.
“I-I told Daddy t-that…that he was being a meanie a-and said a bad word at t-the cafe b-because h-he wouldn’t let me have a c-cookie…and Daddy w-warned me to stop it or he’d h-gave to punish me…but I k-kept going and t-threw a tantrum a-and embarrassed Daddy…” You try to explain what happened while sobbing loudly, with Bucky hushing your cries and gently rubbing your back.
“Sweetheart…you know we don’t throw tantrums, right? Okay, stop it. No more tears. Okay, doll?” He sits down on the couch and sits you on his lap, gently wiping away your tears.
“B-but I make Daddy a-angry a-a-and Daddy hate me now!” You start to sob even louder, making Bucky wince slightly.
“Sweetness, I don’t hate you.”
You and Bucky both turn to look at the stairs, realizing Steve came back downstairs and heard your entire conversation. You quickly get up from Bucky’s lap and walk over to Steve, raising your arms in the hopes that he’ll pick you up. He quickly picks you up and hugs you tightly while shushing your sobs and whispering sweet words in your ears.
“Darling, I don’t hate you. Although it wasn’t okay for you to throw a tantrum, it may not have been that big of a deal for you to have a tiny bit of sugar in the morning. However, you have to ask me nicely, and if I say no then there are no tantrums. Is that understood?” Steve looks down at you and you quickly nod your head, sniffling a bit while wiping the tears away.
“All this over a bit of sugar in the morning? I thought I was the strict one” Bucky stifles a laugh when Steve glares back at him.
“Steve, I’m just kidding! It’s okay, I get it. You guys barely got any sleep last night, and yeah I’ll admit that’s mostly my fault, so I get it. It’s fine, it was a rough morning but I’m sure she’s learnt her lesson. Right, babydoll?” You quickly nod at Bucky, while trying not to frown when you hear him say it’s his fault for keeping you up.
“Buck you know it’s not your fault. We were both having trouble sleeping last night so that’s on both of us, and you can’t control your nightmares you know that. It was a rough morning but it’s over now. I think we could all really just use some rest. What do you say, baby?” Steve looked down at you, and chuckled lightly when he realized you already fell asleep.
“God she’s precious.” Bucky smiled and took you from Steve’s arms, giving you a kiss on your forehead before putting you down on the couch and placing a soft blanket over you. He turned back to Steve who still looked a bit upset.
“Look I’m sorry…you’re right, we were both feeling a bit stressed last night so we put her to bed late, and we couldn’t even sleep until almost 4am. It was no one’s fault, I just felt kinda bad…you know I can’t stand her crying, it’s heartbreaking.” Bucky looked back at your sleeping figure, feeling a bit guilty for all your tears earlier.
“I know…I feel awful. I’ll try to make it up to her when she wakes up. She definitely still needs to be punished for that tantrum she threw at the cafe. God you should’ve seen the looks we got in there! That’s it I’m taking away some of her stuffies for a week! Well…maybe not a week…I mean she does love her tea parties and I think she’d be even more grumpy if I did that…what if I take them away for fiv-four days? Hmm but that’s still too much…Buck how about if I take her pacis- Buck? 🖤🤍~Revivebur Yandere Alphabet~🤍🖤
YEESSS I'M BACK AHAHAHAHAHAHA *does super evil laugh* HAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Requested by: cooooooooolllll beeeeaaaaannnnssss
(FOLLOW THIS PERSON PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ITS THE LEAST YOU CAN DO FOR YOU'RE OL' AUTHOR HERE PLEEEEAAASSEEE FOLLOW THEM PLEASE THEY'RE SUPER COOL AND I'LL GIVE U A BUNCH OF COOKIES HERE HAVE SOME *hands handful of cookies* AAAAA I'M BEGGING YOU PLEASEEEEE *gives puppy eyes*)
Affection: How does the yandere show their love and affection? How intense can it get?
Hugs, cuddles, kisses.... your typical boy stuff... ya it's pretty obvious. And it can definitely get intense.
Blood: How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?
Uh................................... two words: blood bath :P
Cruelty: Would they ever hurt their darling?
Yes. We'll talk about punishments later, but just know he's definitely one to hurt you.
Darling Dearest: Aside from abduction, would they ever do anything against their darling's will?
Oh, YES. He would take away any possible freedom you could have if you were really bad. So much for voicing your opinions or going outside.
Exposed: How much of their true self would they bare to their darling weather it be good or bad?
He exposes every last ounce of his true self, which isn't the greatest.
Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back? How would they react?
He would be pissed. It's been thirteen and a half years since he last saw you, he needs to make that loud and clear for you since you don't seem to quite understand what kind of pain he was in.
Game: Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling escape?
This is 100% NOT a game. He is entirely serious about everything. He just wants you to be with him weather you like it or not and that's it. And if you were to escape and he had to go find you, he would be absolutely furious. And trust me, when he's this mad, you're gonna desperately want him to not find you.
Hell: What would be their darling's worst experience with them?
The day he first brought you home. He was pissed that you were even attempting to escape, so the solution? Beating you basically to a pulp then locking you in a room for a couple days without anything to eat or drink.
Ideas: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?
Possibly living together in a rebuilt L'manberg with him being president of it once again.
Jealousy: Do they get jealous if someone besides themself interacts with their darling? If so, how do they react?
Oh, absolutely. If you so much as say one word to someone that isn't him he will more or less blow a fuse. And then after that there's a high chance that you won't see anyone besides him again.
Kisses: How do they act around their darling?
Constantly mad and hardly ever happy when you're trying to leave. And always, always watching you.
Love Letters: What ways did the yandere use to impress their darling before their abduction?
When he was Alivebur, he thought he'd try to impress you with a nation. When he came back, he thought you'd be impressed that he even survived hell. Turns out you weren't.
Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?
When he's around others he tries to act more friendly and understanding. But when he's around you... you rarely ever see that side of him.
Naughty Naughty: How would they punish their darling?
Every possible method in the book, and i mean that. His favorites involving sharp things of course :)
Oppression: How many rights would they take away from their darling?
Ever. Last. One.
Patience: How patient are they with their darling?
Does this dead boi even have patience should be the question. He wants you to love him now, now, NOW!
Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, successfully escapes will they ever be able to move on?
If you escape, oh he'll find you. If you leave, well, you can never leave. And if you die, he'll just kill himself to be with you again.
Regret: Would they ever feel guilty about abducting their darling? Would they ever let them go?
Ha, guilt? What's that?
Stigma: What brought this side to them (childhood, curiosity, etc)?
Thirteen and a half years without having you.
Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?
Sometimes it makes him even more pissed off, but sometimes he enjoys it.
Unique: Would they ever do anything different from the classic yandere?
He gets angered way more easily and takes away the most rights.
Vice: What weaknesses could their darling exploit in order to escape?
He has none, so good luck with escaping :P
Witness: If someone where to recognize their darling (as missing, distressed, sad, etc), how would they react?
He would kill them on the spot no questions asked. Problem solved.
Xoanon: How much would they revere or worship their darling?
Not enough.
Yearn: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?
He's already snapped so....
Zenith: Would they ever mentally break their darling?
Oh, yes~

Sweet Talker
Pairing: Jin x OC
Genre: fluff, angst
Word count: 9.8k
Warnings: drinking, lots of shirtless dudes, brief mention of skinny dipping? (does that need a warning?)
Lyrics: Sometimes all I think about is you…late nights in the middle of June. - Heat Waves by Glass Animals
Summary: Isabelle is stuck working on a beach this summer, which wouldn’t be so bad, but everything about it reminds her of her first love. To make matters worse…it seems he decided to take a trip to said beach this summer.
A/N: special thanks to @jiminie-and-his-pinky-finger for the banner ^^
I opened the minifridge in the back of the snack bar. The beach was hotter today than it usually was, and everyone was running to the snack bar in search of cold drinks. I just wanted to be on the beach. Working on the beach was a pretty good alternate if I couldn’t be swimming, though. I could’ve been stuck stocking shelves at a grocery store today instead, which was definitely not something I wanted to be doing.
Once I’d rang up the customer, I leaned against the counter. As much as I loved the beach, I really didn’t want to be here. I’d seen it every year, time and time again, but it always reminded me of the boy I’d met the year I was fourteen. And to be frank, I hated remembering him.
My family lived less than a mile from the beach, so we’d spent nearly every day of the summer at the beach when I was younger. I hadn’t minded much. I’d loved the beach back then. This particular summer, a certain teenage boy and his family had come to spend a whole month at the beach. Being fourteen, I had been more outgoing than I was now, so I’d taken my chances and spoken to the boy, and of course, we’d spent the rest of the month together.
That had been six years ago, but I foolishly still wished to see him again. Because of it, I tended to avoid the beach now. As much as I loved it, I felt strange knowing I still liked a guy I’d known for a month many, many years ago. I was an adult now. I should’ve been able to get over a silly crush I had as a kid long ago.
I sighed and tugged off my apron after noticing what time it was. My break had started. I pulled the little palm tree pin out of my bun and set it down on top of my apron. In my opinion, they tried a little too hard to sell the beach aesthetic to travelers. The whole place was littered with pictures of palm trees and coconuts, and we didn’t even grow coconuts here!
Once I was outside the snack bar, I pulled my phone out to find about sixty texts from my best friend, Ellie.
“Isa. How’s the snack bar? I can’t believe you’re enjoying the beach without me! Save me a pineapple slushie. Mateo is working today. And he is (hot). Why did you never tell me? Did you know that the music store has whole pianos? Like, big, big ones! Isa answer your texts pleaseeeee.”
Ellie was spending her summer working at the music shop, so I wasn’t quite sure how she hadn’t known they sold pianos until now. I laughed as I scrolled through the flurry of emojis Ellie had sent before I finally responded.
“You already knew Mateo was hot. You’ve been pining over him since we were in high school.”
“Oh, look, Isabelle is alive!”
I rolled my eyes.
“Yes, I have a ten-minute break. We’ve had lots of customers today because of how hot it is.”
“You better get a tan for me since I can’t spend my summer on the beach.”
“I’m not in the sun much.”
“I don’t care. Get a tan.”
I laughed, looking up from my phone for a moment to glance around at the beach. I watched as people played on the shore and swam in the ocean. There was a game of volleyball going on, and there were a few people surfing. I paused as I came across one particular young man standing on the beach. He looked oddly familiar. He turned around then, and my eyes widened. Jin. I glanced back down at my phone for just long enough to type out a text to Ellie.
“I’ve gotta go. Text you after work.”
I didn’t bother waiting for Ellie’s response before I bolted back into the snack bar. What on earth was Jin doing here? He hadn’t been here for six years, so why was he here the one year I was working on the beach?
It would be ok. I could survive the next four hours and just hope he wouldn’t wander over here, and then I could go home. Surely he wouldn’t be here the next day, right? His grandparents lived here, so maybe they wanted to do something with him other than hang out on the beach?
Sadly, the world was against me, and Jin was at the beach the next morning. Not only that, but he also decided to come over the snack bar. As he approached, I realized that there was really no way he wouldn’t recognize me. I looked almost exactly the same as I had six years ago, just a bit more mature. And it wasn’t like I could escape and leave the work to someone else, either. No one else was working with me today.
I was mentally planning about five different ways to bury myself in the ground when Jin walked up to the stand.
“Hi, Isabelle! It’s been a while!”
Well, dang it. I wasn’t getting out of this now.
“Hi!” I said a bit too enthusiastically. “Jin, right?”
“Uh…yeah. We hung out together that one summer? Remember?”
“Oh,” I laughed nervously. “Yes, of course. I remember.”
He smiled. “Well, it’s nice to see you. It’s been a long while. You look…gorgeous.”
I glanced down at my work clothes and considered the bun I’d sloppily put in my hair that morning. “Sure, buddy.” Out of all the things I could’ve said in response, why had I said that?
He cleared his throat, and I had to keep herself from looking down at his bare chest. The last time we’d seen each other, he’d preferred to wear swim shirts. He clearly wasn’t fifteen anymore.
“Is there anything you’d like to order?” I asked.
“Do you guys have beer?”
Beer? Who did he think he was, an adult? Oh, wait, he was twenty-one. He was an adult….
“Yeah, we have three different kinds,” I informed him, taking one of each out of the minifridge and placing them all in front of him.
“Do you have an opinion on them?”
“Um. Jin, I can’t drink yet.”
He snapped his fingers. “Right. You’re a year younger than I am.” He picked up the one on the right. “I’ll just take this one, then. How much do I owe you?”
“Three bucks.”
“For the little thing? Wow!” he placed three dollars on the counter and popped the can open.
“Yeah, we have to stay in business somehow,” I told him as I put the money in the cash register.
“That’s true,” he nodded. “Well, see you around!”
I nodded, secretly hoping that I could save myself the embarrassment and never, ever have to see him again.
Ellie was beyond enthused when I told her what had happened that evening.
“This is the Jin? Like Jin who wore his swim trunks inside out at the beach Jin?”
I thought about this for a few seconds. I didn’t recall such a thing happening. “Do we know more than one Jin?”
“You don’t remember that? It was on your birthday!”
“Was it?”
“Yeah. Your mom made him walk all the way back to his grandparents’ house to change.”
“I suppose I may remember this vaguely.” I took a deep breath. “What do I do?”
“You ask him on a date, silly!”
I looked at Ellie like she was crazy. “No.”
Ellie sighed. “Are you ever going to go on a date? You’ve never been on a date with anyone. And Jin’s not even from here, so if the date goes badly, he’s leaving in a month! You’ll never have to see him again!”
Part of me wondered just what would happen if the date went well, though. He would be leaving then too, and I’d be left adrift after spending a summer with a guy I’d fallen in love with. Again.
“Yeah, and if the date goes bad, the two of us will still be spending every day on the same beach together. I can’t risk it.”
“Why not?”
Ellie clearly wasn’t understanding, so I pulled out the only card I knew to play in this situation.
“Are you going to ask Mateo out?”
Ellie considered this for a few moments. Then she shrugged. “Maybe.”
“See? You’re not sure either! So how about we both just not ask them out at move on with life? We don’t need men to fulfill our lives.”
Ellie took this as an invitation to ask Mateo out and use her success as an excuse for me to ask Jin out, though, so that card didn’t work the way I’d expected it to. No matter what she said, I wouldn’t cave. I wouldn’t go on a date with Jin. I wouldn’t. I just needed to get over this dumb crush before the summer was over so that I could go back to my normal life once university started up again in the fall. I could live the rest of my life without Jin. There were plenty of nice guys at the university anyways. I was sure I could date one of them and be far happier than I’d be in a long-distance relationship.
Every day at the snack bar was excruciatingly long as I tried my best to avoid Jin. I just knew I’d say something stupid to him if I was given the chance, so I wasn’t going to give myself that chance.
Part of me really wanted him to return and talk to me again, though. I felt like that silly fourteen-year-old all over again who swooned at just about anything he said. I didn’t like that feeling. It made me feel out of control, and I preferred to have control over everything in my life. Every time my heart jumped in my chest when I saw him, I reminded myself that this would all be over in four weeks. He wasn’t staying, and I wasn’t going to let him take my heart with him. Not if I had anything to say about it.
The bad thing was that it seemed the beach was not the only place I had to avoid him. He was everywhere I went. He shopped at the same supermarket as me, he was eating at my favorite restaurant, and he was even using the same gym as me. Who went to the gym in this town, anyways? You could walk everywhere in town, and the beach gave you more of a workout than the gym ever could. Walking through sand was definitely more of a workout than walking the track. Saying this makes me sound like a hypocrite for having a gym membership, though, so I’ll explain myself: the gym was supposed to be my safe haven from Jin. I also still hated the beach even in the off season, so it was more reasonable to go there than to the beach. No one needs a winter tan, right?
I wouldn’t admit it to anyone, but I had stopped for more than a few seconds to watch him lift weights one morning at the gym. It didn’t mean anything, though. He just had nice biceps. Other than that, I was avoiding him. At least, that was what I told myself. I wasn’t exactly doing everything I could to avoid him. I definitely didn’t stop in the chips aisle at the store to stare at him. And I didn’t sit three booths down from him at the burger place and watched him eat. I also hadn’t bought a pair of binoculars to watch him at the beach.
Ok, so admittedly, Jin was making me do crazy things. I blamed it on the fourteen-year-old inside of me who was floored at the thought of possibly dating her crush. He wasn’t my crush, though. Definitely not.
“I made a really good call on that beer last week. It was actually pretty good.”
“Oh, really?” I asked, leaning against the counter like I hadn’t been watching him playing volleyball with a few other guys just three minutes earlier. “Would you like to buy another one?”
“Actually, can I buy four? One of my friends kept stealing the last one I bought, so I’m just going to get one for each of us.”
I laughed. “Of course. I’ll get you four of them. That’s twelve dollars.”
He pulled out a few bills and handed them to me before picking the drinks up off the counter. “Thanks! I’ll be back for something else later,” he said with a wink.
I wanted to punch my heart for beating faster at that small motion. He was just a guy. A really hot guy, but just a guy. There wasn’t really anything that made him stand out from all the other guys on the beach this summer. He was just a guy I’d known for a month in high school and never seen again.
Ok, so I was doing a really bad job at convincing myself I didn’t have a crush on him anymore. Maybe I needed to get away. We were about a half an hour drive from the mainland, and I could totally take a day or two off work for some time to myself.
So, that’s exactly what I did. I took Friday off that week so that I could have three whole days on the mainland. A vacation was just what I needed. Jin would be off my mind, and I wouldn’t be sweating through my clothes for hours on end. Come to think of it, I should’ve gotten a different summer job. Staring at shirtless guys for hours on end was someone’s cup of tea, but that someone was not me.
Ellie wanted to join me on my little trip, but I was convinced I needed some time to myself, so I left her with her new boyfriend. That was ok. The two of them could spend a lot of time together while I wasn’t there. They didn’t get to spend a lot of time together outside the music store because Ellie spent all her free time with me.
I packed a little bag. I wouldn’t need much for two nights, right? Generally, I had a tendency to overpack, but I wasn’t giving in this time. I was packing light, and I was leaving my dog with my parents. I could spend two nights without him.
The drive to the mainland was far more insane than I’d expected it to be. There were so, so many cars on the road. How had I not realized this many people visited our tiny island during the summer? Sure, I saw many unfamiliar faces every day, but it had never occurred to me that there were this many unfamiliar faces.
By the time I arrived on the mainland, it was nearly noon. I hadn’t gotten out of the house until ten, and the traffic had been horrendous. I was ready for some lunch.
I found a little surf n’ turf shop near my hotel, and just about everything on the menu looked tasty. I was pretty wiped out from all the driving. I always was. It wasn’t often I drove more than a mile, so being in a car for two hours had been really exhausting.
It was only when I sat down to eat that I spotted Jin sitting at one of the tables. I recognized two of the guys sitting with him as guys who lived in town, and there was one guy I didn’t recognize. I blinked slowly as I plopped down into my seat. I’d come here to escape Jin, and he was sitting three tables down from me! I wanted to scream. Then, my worst nightmare happened. One of the guys patted Jin on the shoulder and pointed my way. Jin turned around and smiled as he waved at me.
“Isabelle! Come sit with us!”
I would’ve said no, but I was too socially awkward to stand up for myself, so I crossed the room and sat between Jin and one of the other guys.
“You’re the snack stand girl, right?” the guy sitting to my right asked.
I smiled at him. “Yeah, I work at the snack bar.”
He grinned. “How have I never had that beer before? I swear I’ve shopped at your snack stand.”
I shrugged. I briefly remembered this guy’s name as Yoongi or something, but I couldn’t be sure it was the same person. There were quite a few young men living on the island, and I certainly didn’t know all of them.
“Hey, you got the crab?” Jin asked. “Awesome. Is it good?”
I didn’t want to admit to him that I hadn’t even tried it yet, so I shoved a hushpuppy in my mouth as I broke one of the crab legs.
“What are you doing up here, Isabelle?” Yoongi asked. “Your name is Isabelle, right? I’m remembering that correctly?”
I nodded. “I’m on a vacation,” I mumbled around a bite of food.
“Are you gonna be back in town by Sunday night? One of my friends is throwing a party on the beach that night. You should come.”
“Ohh. Sounds fun.”
“Yoongi’s right. You should come with us,” Jin nodded.
“Oh?” I asked with a mumble.
Now all four guys were staring at me expectantly, and I didn’t have the courage to say no.
“I suppose I could come.”
“Great!” Jin grinned. “Do you still live where you used to? I could pick you up.”
“Oh, you don’t have to-”
“Yeah, she still lives there,” Yoongi assured him, nodding.
How on earth did he know where I lived? Sure, the town was small, but I didn’t know where he lived. Then again, I hadn’t even really seen him until today, and if Jin was talking about me, he probably knew who I was. I didn’t ask questions and instead elected to just eat my crab.
“Isabelle, have you ever been to pier?” Jin asked a few minutes later.
I looked up at him. “We have a pier?”
So, I found myself on the pier with four guys I barely knew. Maybe that wasn’t the smartest idea, but I didn’t care. They all had to be ok guys if they knew Jin. At least, if Jin was still the same guy I’d known six years ago. Ok, so maybe this was still a bad idea. It was ok, though. Jin and Yoongi both seemed to really enjoy fishing, and their friends were fine with watching while getting their occasional turns.
“Have you ever tried fishing?” Jin asked as he threw his line out again.
“Me? Nope.”
“You should try it.” He reeled the line back in and handed me the pole.
I stared at it for a few moments. “Um…so, what do I do?”
“Here,” he stepped behind me and reached for the pole. “May I?”
Truthfully, if it had been anyone else, I would’ve said no, but this was Jin, and the fourteen-year-old inside me was absolutely ecstatic at the thought of Jin pressing his chest to my back to help me fish. My heart was jumping in my chest too, and I momentarily wondered if he’d be able to feel it.
“Yeah. Please.”
He wrapped his hands around mine and guided me through casting the line. I had to admit that I wasn’t sure I could do this by myself if he let me.
“See? You’ve got it.”
I shook my head. “I really don’t.”
He laughed. “Ok. I’ll stay here.”
I felt a tug on the pole a few moments later, and I grinned. “Oh my gosh! Did we catch something?”
I was holding a little tiny fish a few moments later.
“Look at it! It’s so adorable!”
Jin smiled. “Yeah, it is.”
I looked around. “Hey…where did the boys go?”
“We’d had enough of watching you two being all lovey-dovey,” Yoongi informed us when we found the three of them way down at the other end of pier a few minutes later.
I laughed awkwardly as I realized what he was implying. “Well, I had some other things I planned to do today, so…. I’m going to head out now. It was awesome fishing with you guys, although I have to admit I was so awful at it I’m not sure I’ll do it again. Um…yeah. See you guys Sunday!”
Then I ran off before I had another chance to embarrass myself.
The rest of the weekend was spent doing whatever I could find on the mainland. I had to admit, there really wasn’t much to do here. Our little island had more interesting things to do than this place did. And it had my favorite snow cone shop, which was arguably the most important thing to have in your day-to-day life. Especially when you lived on an island off South Carolina. Nothing was more important than snow cones and surfing. Or shark fishing, if you were Ellie’s dad.
I headed back home as soon as I checked out of my hotel on Sunday. I’d planned on staying longer, but I couldn’t really think of anything else to do.
As soon as I got back into town, I headed straight for the music store. Ellie was working today, and I figured she could use some company. Except that she clearly didn’t, considering she and Mateo were making out behind the counter when I walked in.
“Whoa, lovebirds, not during office hours,” I complained, announcing my presence.
Ellie shoved her boyfriend away and spun around. “Ohhh heyyyyy. What are you doing here? I thought you were in Bluffton until this evening?”
“Uh, yeah, I was supposed to be. That place was awfully boring, I have to admit. There was nearly nothing to do besides go to Walmart!”
“That doesn’t sound so bad.”
“When you have nothing to do but shop at Walmart for two days, it’s pretty bad. And, you won’t believe this, Jin was there with three of his friends.”
“He was at Walmart?”
“No, Ellie! I-” I shook my head. “He was in Bluffton on Friday.”
Ellie grinned. “Awesome. Did you say hi to him?”
“Yeah. I ate dinner with them and then we went to a fishing pier and fished for a while.”
“Ooo. Did you guys do anything?”
“…we fished.” I squinted. I could see where she was going with this. “Ok, actually, I’m going to go home. I have a party to get ready for anyways.”
I could faintly hear Ellie asking what party, but it didn’t matter, because I was already out the door.
When I got home, I practically overturned my closet looking for an outfit. I had no idea what to wear. What was the dress code for beach parties? I’d lived on an island my entire life, but I’d never gone to a beach party. That sounded absolutely ridiculous, but it was the truth. Unless you counted the birthday party my aunt threw for my cousin when he turned six. That didn’t seem like the same thing, though.
I finally settled on a tank top and some skimpy shorts over my bathing suit. Considering this was by the beach, we were definitely going to be swimming. And if not, I could always just look hot in a bathing suit. My body wasn’t exactly what the locals called a beach body, but who cares?
Jin picked me up at five-thirty on the dot. I liked that a little too much. Punctuality tickled some part of my brain that was most likely feeding my want for perfection at all times. As I slid into the sports car, something occurred to me.
“Is this your car?”
“Yeah. I live upstate now, so I drove down here. Taking a plane would’ve taken just as much time out of my day.”
I laughed. “South Carolina is a long way from Arizona.”
“That it is,” he nodded. “My parents got tired of the weather being in the hundreds so often, and my dad got a new job a few years ago.”
“I see,” I nodded. “My parents still rent out beach houses for a living. And my mom works at that jewelry shop.”
“Awesome. You’ll have to take me down there and pick out some earrings for me.” He flicked his earlobe, and for the first time ever I noticed the earrings in his ears.
I gasped. “When did you get your ears pierced?”
“Tenth grade. All the boys from drama club made a pact and we got our ears pierced together,” he laughed. “I haven’t had a clip-on fall off my ear since.”
“Wow, are you sure you’re the Jin I met six years ago?”
He shrugged. “I always imagined you working at the Piggly Wiggly instead of on the beach, so I’m not sure I know you either.”
I snapped my fingers. “Actually, I did apply there. Working on the beach is nice, though.”
“Do you think we’ll get to see the stars tonight?”
“Oh yeah. The beach is the best place to see stars as long as the vacationers aren’t using strobe lights on their decks.”
“Strobe lights?” he asked in shock.
I nodded. “You’d be surprised what goes on. One time, I saw a drunk couple in their forties skinny dipping at one am. I was horrified. I haven’t been to the beach past ten since.”
Jin laughed. “Remind me to never get drunk by a body of water.”
I nodded. “If you do, I’m driving you straight home.”
It wasn’t long before we were parking near the beach, and the two of us walked the rest of the way to the party. One of Yoongi’s friends had parents who owned a beach house, and he was hosting the party there tonight. The bad thing was that his driveway had room for about three cars, so the rest of us had to park about a mile away.
“Yooooo, Tin Jin! You made it!” a tall guy with blond hair exclaimed as he hugged Jin.
“I told you not to call me that,” Jin grimaced as the guy crushed him.
“I told you it was because of the bucket you had on your head last week.”
Jin shook his head. “Still don’t call me that. Jin is fine, though.”
The guy nodded, seeming to get the memo this time. “Yoongi’s in the kitchen.”
There turned out to be a very large stash of snacks in the kitchen, so the three of us ate as Yoongi and Jin chatted.
“Hey, Isabelle, your birthday is soon, right?” Jin asked eventually.
I smiled. “Yeah, next week, actually.”
“You’re turning twenty-one, right? We’ve gotta get you some alcohol.”
I laughed and shook my head. “That’s ok. You don’t need to do that.”
“Come on,” Yoongi nudged my shoulder. “There’s got to be something you want to try. Beer? Wine? Whiskey?”
“Actually, wine sounds good.” I shrugged. “Maybe champagne too.”
“Ah, the lady does have demands,” Jin teased. “Anything in particular? Or should we just choose something random?”
“Hey, whatever you find is fine. I don’t plan on getting too drunk, so just don’t go wild with your options.”
“All right. Is there anything else you’d like to do? The last time I was at your party was when you were fifteen, so I’m sure you’re not too interested in everything rainbow themed anymore.”
I glared at him. “We don’t talk about that.”
“So…the answer is yes, then?”
“You’re mean.”
“You were at her fifteenth?” Yoongi asked.
Jin nodded. “I was here in June.”
“You didn’t come to my fifteenth!”
“Yeah, cause it was in March,” Jin stated matter-of-factly. “I had school.”
“It was over spring break.”
“And I lived on the other side of the country. It’s ok. I was here for your twenty-first.”
Yoongi shook his head. Then he looked at me. “Look, he was already more committed to you than he was to me at fifteen.”
I glanced between the two of them. “I beg to differ. You two know each other far better than I know either of you.”
“You didn’t tell her about the great meltdown of 2018?”
Jin reached across the counter to shove Yoongi’s arm.
“What? What are you talking about?” I asked.
Jin laughed. “It’s nothing.”
Yoongi blew out a long breath. “I wouldn’t say that visiting every house in that neighborhood was nothing.”
“Yoongi!”
Yoongi looked at me. “Did you really never find out?”
I was still confused. Did he mean Jin had been looking for my house? If so, why? The two of us had made no point of keeping in contact after we were fifteen, but he’d come looking for me two years later?
“Yeah. You guys were out of town that week. Did the neighbors never tell you?”
I shook my head. I’d never heard anything of this.
“Yoongi,” Jin said through gritted teeth. “Shut up.”
Yoongi leaned back against the counter and crossed his arms before smiling. “Ok. I’ll shut up.”
I shoved about five more grapes into my mouth so that I didn’t say something stupid. Had Jin spent the past six years missing me too? Was I not totally insane for being in love with a guy I’d known for a month? The thought of him reciprocating my feelings made me feel even more insane. There was no way he did. Yoongi had to be lying. Except…Jin was rather mad at him for saying all of that.
“You said there’s a pool out back?” I asked after I’d swallowed all those grapes.
Yoongi nodded, so I abandoned the two of them and left my clothes on one of the beach chairs before jumping in the pool. Most of the guests had decided the beach was better than the pool, apparently, because there was one other person in this pool.
After completely soaking myself in water, I sat in the hot tub for probably longer than was healthy. When the hot tub didn’t feel hot anymore, I jumped back into the pool, which now felt ice cold. I squeaked as the water soaked through my swimsuit. I shouldn’t have come tonight. I was headed back to Columbia in two months, so the two of us would be split up regardless of whether he was here or home with his parents.
Eventually I found myself soaking wet and laying on a pool chair as I stared up at the stars. I had been right. The stars looked great from here, especially where there weren’t streetlights blocking my view. Why didn’t we take advantage of our beach houses more often? Sure, we rented them out to people, but there were the occasional nights that no one was staying there.
It was only then that I realized how late it really was. One check of my phone confirmed that it was already nine. How long had I spent in the pool, exactly?
That night, I laid in my bed wide awake after successfully washing and combing all the chlorine from the pool out of my hair. Jin had come looking for me years ago. I’d never even tried. His grandparents had lived down the block from me this whole time, and not once had I thought to go over there and ask for his contact information. How stupid was I?
I rolled around in bed, considering everything that had happened in the past few days. Jin had to like me. Why else would Yoongi be making all these random comments otherwise? I didn’t know how to feel about this. On the one hand, I wanted to date Jin. On the other hand…were long-distance relationships during university really the best idea? I picked up my pillow and screamed into it. Maybe I should never have gotten that job at the snack bar.
Work started again the next day, but it wasn’t for about a week that I discovered Jin hadn’t gotten tired of the beach yet. This was the first time I’d really seen him swimming in the ocean. I couldn’t really tell what he was doing from where I was standing, but he was definitely in the water. He’d spent most of the time I’d watched him either making sandcastles or playing volleyball.
It was around noon when he finally wandered over towards me.
“Hey, have you ever seen the seashells here?”
I didn’t want to tell him that I’d gone searching for seashells many, many times since I was little. I glanced up to find him holding a huge shell in his hand, and my eyes widened.
“Wow! I’ve never pulled one that big!”
“Really? It took me about three hours to find one this big. One of the boys found some huge sand dollars. You’ll have to come out later so I can show you.”
“Well, I get off at four. Maybe I can run home and get my bathing suit then.”
“Cool! We’re doing barbeque at Yoongi’s house tonight. Wanna come?”
“Sure! When is it?”
“We’re gonna head over there at five to get the grill started. One of his friends bought a bunch of steak and shrimp and other stuff.”
“Ok, I’ll tell my parents that I won’t be joining them for dinner.”
I had to admit that it was a little weird to be spending so much time with a group of people I didn’t know, but it was worth it to spend time with Jin. It seemed that he didn’t know many of the people at these gatherings either, so I was good company to him. Although, did we really know each other any better than the other people there?
After I’d run home to get my bathing suit, Jin and I waded out to where the water was deeper to search for sand dollars.
“Have you ever done this? Yoongi said you need to dig around with your toes…”
It was much easier to do that now that the water was reaching my shoulders.
“Oh! I found one!”
I used my toes to pull it out of the sand, and then I grabbed it and pulled it out of the water.
“Well, would you look at that,” he laughed. “You’re good at this. Ooo! I think I got one!”
Once his was out of the water, the two of us compared them.
“Yours is bigger,” I laughed. “Probably because my toes are smaller.”
He took this as an invitation to pull his foot out of the water and wiggle his toes in my face. “These are bigger than yours?”
Before I could even shove him, he lost his balance and fell into the water. He resurfaced a few seconds later, coughing out water.
“I lost the sand dollar!” he exclaimed. “We have to make sure they’re put down on the floor or they won’t survive!”
I quickly placed my sand dollar back in the sand using my foot, and then the two of us swam around for a few minutes looking for Jin’s sand dollar.
“How big was it?” I asked.
He made a circle with his hands to imitate the sand dollar’s size. “It was about this big!”
I held up a sand dollar. “Is this it?”
He swam over to me and examined the sand dollar in my hand.
“Probably. Let’s put it back. I think it’s about time to head to Yoongi’s place.”
Once we got back into the shallow water, I went off running.
“Try to catch me!”
“Hey! That’s not fair! You got a head start!”
“Your legs are longer than mine!”
Yoongi’s house wasn’t too far from where we’d been, so we walked. It wasn’t the most comfortable thing to walk in sand-coated sandals, but I’d deal until we were on solid concrete.
“You know, I could get used to living on the beach like this,” Jin admitted.
“Do your parents live out west?”
He nodded. “Just about as west as you can get in this state. My grandparents wanted them to move closer, but my dad’s job took them to Greenville. I could always move down here if I wanted to. It’s nice to be with my parents, though.”
“Should we go to the jewelry store this weekend? You’ve gotta get some earrings before you leave, right?”
He laughed. “That’s right! We should go around and see if we can find some good alcohol while we’re at it. Your birthday is Monday, right?”
“Hey, you remembered!” I grinned. “I’m taking the day off. My parents wanted to take me canoeing, and then we’re doing a dolphin boat tour in the afternoon.”
“That sounds cool! Is there a time we can get together?”
“I’m sure we can do something for dinner. The dolphin tour ends around seven.” I paused. “Do you want to come on the dolphin tour with us? The guy taking us is one of my dad’s friends, so he’s just taking the three of us. I think we could cram one more in.”
Jin laughed. “Sure, I’d love to come! You think your parents remember me?”
“Well, Ellie sure remembers you.”
“Is she the one who wore nothing but braids the whole summer?”
“That’s her!”
“I’m just memorable,” he nodded with a wink.
Yoongi’s place was a lot smaller than I’d expected it to be. Despite the fact that there were about four bedrooms in the house, there weren’t a bunch of open floors like the house we’d been at last weekend. He had a modest little living room and a kitchen, and the back yard was pretty small and grassy.
“Jin, can you watch the grill for a few minutes? I need to go check on the potatoes.” Yoongi asked – informed, more like – the moment he saw Jin. He was already inside before Jin could respond.
“Hey, did you get to see the stars on Sunday?” I asked. “They were pretty bright from the pool.”
“I don’t think I did, no,” Jin shook his head. “I didn’t go outside much while we were there.”
“You’ll have to see them tonight.”
“Will I?”
“Of course!”
Surprisingly, Yoongi’s barbeque was a lot more peaceful than the party we’d had on Sunday. Granted, there was much more food and far less talking, but there was no drama, and Yoongi wasn’t spilling Jin’s secrets today.
A few of the guys offered me beer, but I insisted that I was waiting until Monday. If I didn’t have the experience of trying alcohol on my twenty-first birthday, was it even a special day?
The next morning, Jin and I headed over to see my mom. Morning meaning more like afternoon, because I wasn’t even awake until eleven.
“Did your mom work here before?” Jin asked as we walked down the street. “I don’t recall.”
I shook my head. “She wanted something else to do besides taking care of our beach houses.”
I backed into the door and listened as the bell jingled over my head.
“Wow, this place is tiny!” Jin exclaimed.
“Isabelle! Is this Jin? My goodness, he’d gotten tall!”
I laughed. “Yeah, Mom, this is Jin. He wanted to come find some earrings.”
“Oh, we have a lot of those,” Mom laughed as she walked around the counter. “Anything in particular you were looking for?”
“Not really. I just wanted to look around. Most of my earrings look the same,” Jin admitted.
“You should get some dangles!” I encouraged him.
He picked up a pair of huge earrings. “These?”
I cringed. “No.”
“Ok, you tell me what you’d pick for me, then.”
I walked a few laps around the shop as I looked. What should I choose for him? I didn’t know him all that well, but I knew he did look good in the earrings he was wearing now. There was definitely a reason he always wore those.
I noticed Jin watching me out of the corner of my eye. This made me a bit embarrassed, but it didn’t matter. I had to be particular about what I chose. These would be one of the few things he remembered me by when we parted ways, that was for sure.
Eventually, I found a pair of earrings I thought would fit him well. I pulled them out and held them up.
“What do you think of these?”
“Chains?”
I nodded. “They’d look good on you, don’t you think?”
“I’m not sure,” he laughed. “I’ve never worn anything like that, not even in theater.”
“Great! Something new for your collection, then!”
“I supposed so.” He took the earrings from me and held one of them up next to his ear. “What do you think?”
“It looks awesome! We should definitely get those!”
He nodded. “All right, we’ll get these ones. Should we head to the liquor store now?”
“In a few minutes. I need to talk to my mom real quick and pay for these. We should get some snow cones on our way out. What do you think?”
“That’s a great idea! I’ll wander around outside while I wait for you, ok?”
I nodded, and he left the shop. I walked over to the counter and paid my mom for the earrings.
“Do you like him?” she asked.
“What? Where would you get an idea like that?”
She gave me her all-knowing look, and I sighed.
“Ok, maybe I like him a little bit.” I was quick to change the subject. “There’s something I wanted to ask. Jin wanted to spend my birthday with me, and I was wondering if it was ok if I bring him with me to the dolphin tour?”
She laughed. “Of course! It’s your birthday. As long as he’s not joining us for canoeing. It’s too late to add him now.”
I shook my head. “I know that. Besides, I do want to spend some time with just you and Dad on my birthday.”
“Of course. Did he say you were going to the liquor store?”
I nodded. “He and Yoongi said that I should try a few kinds of alcohol on my birthday.”
“Oh, did they? Be safe, whatever you do.”
“Don’t worry, I will.”
After Jin and I got our snow cones, we headed over to the liquor store.
“It is legal for me to go in here, right?” I asked.
“Yeah. You just can’t buy anything.”
The two of us browsed the different wines and champagnes as we ate our snow cones.
“Have you ever had any of these?” I asked as I looked at a bottle of wine.
“Not most of them, no. I haven’t drunk much, to be honest. I’ve had beer here and there, but that’s about it.” He pulled out his phone as it chimed. “My mom suggests rosé.”
I nodded. “I guess we’ll get that and some champagne, then. But…which one?”
He ran his hands over a few bottles. “Maybe this one?”
“I suppose that should be fine. Does Yoongi have any suggestions?”
“I’m sure he’ll already have bought them if he has any,” Jin laughed.
I smiled.
As we walked around the liquor store, I considered how long it had been since I’d really spoken to Ellie. Maybe a week wasn’t that long to go without talking to your friend, but it was definitely a long time for us. Usually, we spent a day around each of our birthdays together, but she hadn’t even asked what I was doing for the day. I would’ve invited her to hang out with me when I went over to Yoongi’s, but she wasn’t old enough to drink yet, so she would’ve probably just felt left out. It felt strange not talking to her. Sure, we’d both been busy, but even when we’d been in college, we’d taken time to text each other at least once a day.
I texted her that night when I got home. The response I got was short.
“Teo and I have been hanging out. Sorry. Maybe we can get together next week.”
Well. I guess that told me where we stood.
I ended up walking over to Yoongi’s by myself come Monday. I’d headed home for a quick change of clothing before I headed over, so Jin had gone by himself. As I walked, I realized that I was feeling pretty out of it. My best friend had abandoned me. On my birthday, of all days. It wasn’t like I had other friends to see either. Sure, I had Jin and Yoongi, but as sweet as they were, it wasn’t the same. They were two people I’d barely known for three weeks. I’d known Ellie since third grade.
Maybe this was my fault. I hadn’t really made the effort to talk to her since I’d gotten back in town, so maybe she was mad at me about that. Our conversation at the music store hadn’t ended all that well since I’d run out of there, so it would be reasonable if she was mad at me. That didn’t mean it felt good to be ignored on my birthday, though.
I was just going to let it go. Tonight, I was going to have a good time with Jin and Yoongi and a few bottles of alcohol. We had a little over a month until school started up again, so I was going to make the most out of these next few weeks, with or without Ellie. I knocked on Yoongi’s door.
“It’s open,” I heard him call from inside.
I stepped inside and headed to the living room. Suddenly, all the lights turned on.
“Surprise!”
My eyes widened. “What?”
I glanced around. There weren’t that many people here, but it was more than I’d been expecting. Jin, Yoongi, my parents, Jin’s grandparents, Ellie, and Mateo were all here. There was a cake on the kitchen counter, and there was a banner hanging over the fireplace that read ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ISABELLE!’ It was clearly handmade, and I’d recognize Ellie’s handwriting anywhere. She hadn’t been mad at me.
“We decided to surprise you,” Jin smiled. “What do you think?”
“I think this is awesome!” I hugged him. “Thank you!” I turned to Ellie. “And you! Get over here!”
She laughed and crossed the room to hug me. “We surprised you, right?”
“You sure did! I thought you were mad at me!”
She scoffed. “Mad at you? I could never be mad at you!” She paused. “Actually, I am a little mad that you’re drinking without me tonight.”
“Don’t worry. We can do it on your birthday too.”
“I’m lucky school doesn’t start before my birthday this year.”
It turned out that Jin and Yoongi bought a few more bottles than I’d picked out on Saturday. We didn’t need much for eight people, though.
“Can I at least smell yours?” Ellie asked as I poured a glass of wine.
“You can smell it,” I nodded with a laugh.
She leaned in close to me. “So, any progress with the boyfriend?”
“He’s not my boyfriend.”
“Ok, fine. Any progress with Jin?”
“What kind of progress?”
“Have you guys…” she lowered her voice even further. “Kissed?”
I scoffed. “No.”
“What? What do you mean you haven’t kissed? You guys have been hanging out for a whole week!”
“Yeah, well, we’re not you and Mateo.”
She shook her head. “You guys have to kiss at least once before he goes home.”
“No, we don’t. In fact, I’d rather we not kiss.”
“Why?”
“I can’t be in a relationship with him, El. He lives up in Greenville.”
“Which is what, an hour from Columbia? Don’t be dramatic. You two could totally date. I’m gonna be down in Florida, and Mateo and I are still going to find a way to make it work. Relationships aren’t just kissing, you know. You can have a meaningful conversation over the phone.”
“All I’ve seen you and Mateo do is kiss. Are you sure you’re the person who should be telling me this?”
Ellie slapped my shoulder. “Oh, shush. Just listen to me.”
“I don’t think I will.”
It was hours before the party ended. The vast majority of us had clearly drunken. Mateo took Jin’s grandparents home, and that left the rest of us to clean up.
“That was the best birthday party I’ve ever had,” I laughed as I stacked the paper plates we’d used. “Yoongi, that wine you bought was awesome.”
“I’m glad you liked it. That’s one of my favorite ones.”
Jin tugged on my sleeve. “Let’s go outside. The stars are bright tonight.”
I followed him out to the backyard eagerly. Yoongi’s place was completely dark, so if we laid on the ground, we could see the stars pretty well. Jin sat down in the grass and tugged my hand, beckoning me to sit down with him. I joined him, and the two of us looked up at the sky together.
“There’s not many constellations.”
I hummed. Regardless, the stars were pretty. My own yard wasn’t really a great place for viewing stars. I lay down in the grass. This was a moment I’d put in my back pocket and keep forever. If I wasn’t too drunk to remember it, that was. I couldn’t remember how much I’d had to drink.
“Hey, Isa?”
“Yes, Jin?”
“Can I kiss you?”
He was still sitting up, so it didn’t take much effort for me to look at him. My logical mind would’ve told him no, but I had at least three glasses of various kinds of alcohol in me, so I wasn’t thinking straight.
“Yeah. Kiss me, Jin.”
He looked conflicted for a second, but then he leaned over me and kissed me. I grinned like a fool against his lips.
“This is my first kiss,” I mumbled.
“I shouldn’t have kissed you while we’re drunk,” he decided. It was too late now.
But of course, alcohol had taken all reason out of our heads, so we kissed under the stars for a few moments.
“I think I need to go home, Jin,” I giggled. “I can’t keep my eyes open.”
“You could sleep in one of Yoongi’s spare rooms.”
I hummed. “Why does he have so many spare rooms, anyways? He’s twenty-one. He can’t be rich enough to own a whole house.”
“Yeah…it’s one of his dad’s houses.” Jin’s eyes widened, and he smacked his palm over his mouth. “Don’t tell him I told you.”
I laughed stupidly, like a drunk person would. I wouldn’t remember this in the morning. I wouldn’t remember any of this. I wouldn’t remember who owned Yoongi’s house…and I wouldn’t remember my first kiss….
I woke up on my own bed the next morning with about four blankets piled on top of me. Had I walked home? I couldn’t recall. As I blinked at my wall, I remembered what had happened the previous night.
I flew out of bed and ran to my bathroom before staring at myself in the mirror. I’d kissed Jin! Was I an idiot? This was going to ruin my life forever!
I ran back into my room and dug through my sheets, finally coming across my phone. I had a few texts from Jin.
“Good morning! Yoongi’s dragging me out for breakfast. He said food is good for hangovers or something. I don’t know how to tell him I don’t have a hangover. Would you like to meet up later today? Maybe I could take you on an official date.”
I threw my phone down on my bed. This was not supposed to happen! Dating Jin was supposed to just be some wild dream I had to carry me through the summer, and then real life would resume when I went back to university. I picked up my phone and replied to him.
“Sorry, I have work! Maybe we can meet up later?”
I didn’t wait for his response before jumping in the shower. Even if Jin didn’t have a hangover, it appeared that I did. Hopefully I could make it through work today without any issues.
I hated how my heart jumped when I saw Jin’s response of a few hearts and a kissing emoji. I was supposed to be immune to him by now. I’d lived this long without him, so surely I could live the rest of my life without him. University wasn’t the place to be in a relationship, especially one that was long distance.
I shoved my phone deep into the pocket of my shorts, and then I headed to work. I didn’t know when Jin was leaving, but I hoped it was soon. The sooner he left, the less it would hurt to let him go.
I met up with Ellie for dinner that evening, and I could tell she wanted to rip out every last hair on my head after I told her what had happened.
“You idiot! He’s clearly whipped for you, and you won’t even give it a chance?”
“I can’t let myself get attached, El.” I frowned as I felt tears flood my eyes. “I got attached the first time, and it hurt so bad when he left.”
“But, Isa, this isn’t the same as last time. You’re both adults now. The world is so much smaller than it used to be. You guys are so close you could drive to see each other during the school year.”
I shrugged. “I just can’t.”
“Is there anything that could make you?”
“Well, if we lived in the same town or something, maybe we could make it work, but….”
Ellie sighed. “Come on, Isa. This is silly. You should go talk to him.”
I shook my head. “I’m not going to. I’m just going to have to let him go.”
It was clear Ellie was having none of my sulking, so I sulked at the snack bar instead. As much as I really didn’t feel like working, it gave me something to do during the day. Jin hadn’t been around on the beach, either, so I didn’t really have a reason to avoid my job. He was probably fishing with Yoongi. I vaguely remembered them talking about going shark fishing at some point, and a place with a bunch of little kids really wasn’t the place to do that. Thankfully.
My luck ran out on Friday, though. Jin came walking up to the stand just like he had the first day he’d been here. Once again, I was trying to find all the ways I could bury myself in the sand.
“Hey, Isa,” he smiled at me. “You haven’t been answering my texts. What’s up?”
“Uh, I can’t really date you. I’m sorry if I mislead you.”
“Oh.”
That pretty smile he’d had on his face before disappeared now, and I felt guilty for making him feel so.
“That’s ok. I’m headed back to Greenville next week.”
“You are?” I asked in distress. I shouldn’t have been upset, really. This was what I’d been saving myself from by ignoring him.
He nodded. “My parents wanted to see me for a little while before I have to head back to school. I’ll see you next summer, I guess?”
I offered him a small smile. “Right. Next summer.”
I didn’t let myself be disappointed when he left the next week. Ellie dragged me out to say goodbye to him, but all I could offer him was a wave as he drove away. I was letting all this go.
It wasn’t until Ellie’s birthday party that I finally let it all out. Three glasses of wine was clearly too much for me. It kept me saying things I’d never intended to reach the world.
“I shouldn’t have said no to him, El. He’s the sweetest man alive, and I let him go all because he lives too far away,” I cried. “I’m such an idiot.”
“Yeah, you are.”
Man, she could’ve at least softened the blow.
“I should call him,” I decided.
Ellie was too quick for me, though. She whipped my phone out of my hand before I could even unlock it.
“We don’t make hasty decisions while drunk, Isa. Remember what happened last time?”
“Yes, I kissed Jin. Now give me my phone.”
Except that alcohol also seemed to take away my coordination and strength as well, so getting my phone away from Ellie was a lost cause. I finally gave in and laid across her lap.
“Tell me I’ll forget about him when I go back to university, El.”
“You’ll forget about him when you go back to university.”
“I know you don’t mean it.”
She laughed. “I know you know.”
School started not too long after that. I had to admit that the two-hour drive up to Columbia felt even longer than it was supposed to. Sitting in a car for more than ten minutes felt like torture.
By the time I’d unpacked my car, I was starving. It wasn’t near dinnertime yet, but I was going to eat anyways. There were about fifteen fast food places within a mile of the school, so I settled for some pizza. Granted, no one besides a professional football player needed an entire pizza to themselves, but I didn’t care. I was going to eat as much of this pizza as I pleased without anyone judging me. Ok, my roommate would probably be judging me. But it wasn’t any of her business how much pizza I ate.
I was happily walking out of the pizza place with my dinner when I looked up at the man who was holding the door for me.
“Jin? What are you doing here?”
He pointed a thumb back to my university. “I go to the UofSC?”
I ended up sharing my pizza with him as we sat at a nearby park and chatted.
“You’ve gone here for two years? How have I never seen you?”
He laughed. “I have no clue.”
“I’m so sorry about what happened after my birthday. I just couldn’t handle long-distance.”
He nodded. “It’s ok. I understand. I just wish we’d actually talked about it. Maybe we wouldn’t have been upset at each other?”
I smiled.
“So, what do you say? Now that we’re in the same place all year…can I take you on a date?”
I had to admit, I’d never expected things to turn out this way. I’d never even considered him being at the same school as me, but I’d gotten that miracle after all.
If we shared a few kisses under the sunset that evening, no one but us knew. It was pretty amazing that we had the assurance of spending the next two years together.

hi eli bby !! its me vio again shhshf
i loved ur vball player crush hcs w miya twins && suna and can i have that too w sakusa, semi && shirabu ? MY UNDERRATED BOYS CRIES SM <//3 thank u sm <33
hiiiii my love!!! tysm for requesting these boys i love them so much. i hope you like this lysm <3
sakusa kiyoomi
considering what i’ve seen in the anime, and some manga panels, i really don’t think omi’s a peoples person. so even in school, i doubt he was very involved with other students, and probably kept to himself
he’s also hyper-aware of his surroundings constantly, including the people around him, so the fact that he noticed you wasn’t a shock
it’s that he noticed you, and then he couldn’t stop thinking about you
probably had some dream about you that same night that cursed him with a crush on you yk the dreams i’m talking about right?
he still continues to keep to himself, and whenever he spots you from his peripheral vision he just dashes out of there. he realizes that forcing himself to act normally around you might actually improve his situation and help him get over whatever this stupid crush was but he was not taking any chances
he also knew nothing about you, just your last name!
so anyways both the boys and girls vbc’s are heading the same school, so they got one bus for the both of you and combined them.
because his general dislike for crowds, omi usually sits out in the front, especially because the door to the bus is right next to him. idk he just seems like the kind to map out an escape plan for every room/vehicle he enters i don’t have a reason why i think so
the game was happening on a weekend, really early, like way too early, so it wasn’t a surprise that you were tired. it’s an unspoken rule that those who sit in the back make a lotta noise and all that, so you opted for the front seats instead to at least try and rest a bit before the game
you don’t sit directly next to him, but there’s only an aisle separating the two of you
because, yk, manners, you give him a small smile before saying, “good morning!” and settling in your seat, your bag between your legs
omi on god freezes up lmfao
he doesn’t mean to sound so rude but it just comes out that way! he says something along the lines of “what are you doing here?” and immediately regrets it after it leaves his lips. he visibly cringes
but instead of being thrown off, you just laugh, and sakusa curses everything behind his mask because holy shit were you gorgeous and wow was his stomach just somersaulting
not a nice feeling
you explain to him briefly that you’re on the vbc and you were heading to play the girls of the same school he was gonna play against and all that, and he just hums and nods and tries to ignore the thump thump thump of his heart
you don’t really interact during the bus ride going to, it’s coming back that you do
you tell him that you managed to glimpse the last bit of his game, where he was landing a spike, and you complimented his skills and pointed out his freakish wrist move
he noted that he didn’t get to see you play and your brain went opportunity!
you go “well maybe you should come to one of my dates” like the absolute smooth talker you are
omi just hums and goes “i’ll see”
absolutely is there lol
the development into a relationship is more implicit than explicit. the two of you don’t announce to the world, but honestly, neither do you do it to yourselves. like you’d been on a coffee date with him at some point and your parent or sibling texted something you found funny and mentioned him as your boyfriend and you showed it to him and he was like
hm
am i your boyfriend
like idk am i your girlfriend
he said yeah obviously
i love this boy so fucking much pleaseeeee
but yes just as your development into a couple is subtle, so is your overall relationship. and honestly? you wouldn’t have it any other way
semi eita
omg pretty setter semi eeee
so yk how shiratorizawa students live in dorms? there’s no way semi hasn’t noticed you before, even if it’s separate dorms for different genders. like you two probably come across each other every once in a while at a vending machine or something, and exchange a word or two
it’s not until when semi starts to look forward to seeing you, or when he gets disappointed every time you don’t make an appearance, that he realizes, you know, he’s kinda developed a liking to you
he doesn’t really know much about you, aside your name and your favorite go-to snack from the vending machine, so he’s left a little frustrated at the lack of interactions you two have. like he’s just living off that small laugh of acknowledgment and the hi, hope you sleep well! you know? like he wants more from you. he wants to get to know you
he can’t seem to ever see you in school either, because the stars hate him that much and don’t wanna align for the two of you, not even a little to share one class with him. just one
it’s just his luck, though, when a busy weekend for all the sports teams comes along, and each sport is sectioned off to a bus. volleyball boys and girls in one bus, swimming boys and girls in one bus, etc.
he really doesn’t expect it when you get on the bus, because what the fuck you play volleyball??? and then he really doesn’t expect it when you recognize him, gasp and grin, and wave at him, and go over to sit by him
his brain’s short-circuiting
you immediately start conversation as you’re setting your bag down like “i didn’t know you played volleyball!”
and he laughs and nods like “i didn’t know you did either”
it’s honestly a really cute and satisfying moment like okay maybe the stars were just taking their time aligning thank you universe
the two of you click immediately. like annoyingly so. you have so much in common, and you spend the entire ride chatting excitedly about everything and semi’s wishing he’d just asked you to hang out way sooner, like as early as the first time you’d met at that vending machine
the girls’ games finish a lot later than the boys, so he comes and watches you play, and is enamored by you, completely. in his head he’s just ‘this girl just keeps growing more perfect.’
he walks back with you to the bus, and sits next to you as well. when you arrive back at the school, you don’t immediately go to your dorms, and he suggests grabbing a refreshing drink from somewhere nearby
it’s incredible how you still have so much to talk about
the time passes really quick with him
it’s while you’re having that drink with him, probably iced tea or boba or something, he tells you about his small passion for music, and you make him promise to play you something at some point. he loops his pinky with yours :)
he also confides in you about having been replaced on his last year, and how he tries not to let it affect him but he really can’t help him. from then on, after each of your practices, you invite him in your gym, and have him set to you, just so you both have an excuse to spend time with each other, and so that he gets to practice and play the way he really wants to, without any restrictions placed upon him and no one waiting to take his place
i think as a couple you’d probably really bring out the best in each other, and you’re constantly always, always there for each other. really, really reliant and supportive as partners, you know?
you go to all his games, and whenever he’s pitched in, you scream his name the loudest and cheer him on so much. one look at your face, and he’s reminded of who he is and why he does what he does, and he’s immediately grounded aw <3
shirabu kenjirō
omg shirabu with a crush 🥺🤲🏼 i love it when characters seem so cold and standoffish but as soon as they’re around the people they care about they do a 180. that’s shirabu 100%
he really, really, really liked you. like it was embarrassing at this point. he totally denied it every time anyone even thought it, and he really tried his hardest not to be obvious around you
i like to think he saw you around school and that’s how it developed a little, but maybe you were friends with some of the vbc boys because of your shared interest in the sport, and you come to play with them sometimes after practice, he’d just never be there
but one time you walked in and he was like guess im not leaving
he was a little starstruck at the fact that you played volleyball. he honestly wouldn’t care, but it sorta felt nice that there really was something that you two had in common
and you were good. at everything. you received semi and ushijima’s serves, and goshiki’s and ōhira’s spikes, perfectly, and reacted to tendō’s blocks so well, and hit his tosses just right. you were incredible. maybe your skills were magnified from his specific lens, but there really was no denying you were skilled
damn this. all this.
especially any time you’d spike his toss and give him a really wide smile and say, “nice toss!” like seriously the way his heart’s spasming cannot be healthy what the fuck
and then he finds out the girls are sharing a bus with them, and then you walk in
and then you walk towards him
obviously, outwardly he looks unimpressed and unfazed but trust, his palms are sweaty as fuck
before the bus moves, you stand by his seat and make small talk with him about volleyball, before you realize the bus is moving and you have to sit down, but you’re still in the middle of a conversation with him, so you just sit next to him and continue like nothing happened
he just. allows it.
the school you’d been going to had a really big court where both the girls and boys were playing in the same gymnasium on opposite sides of the court, so when you arrived and changed and all, you were like “wanna warm up together” couple goals <3
pls semi, taichi and tendō would probably tease the fuck out of him lmfao. he’d just glare at them but he has such a big blush on his cheeks as he stretches and warms up with you that the glare is completely ineffective
you go to sit next to him on the bus ride home, but the day’s exhaustion catches up to you, plus the bus’s movements are lulling you, so you end up falling asleep on his shoulder, and when shirabu first notices that you’d actually fallen asleep, he looks down at you with such a dreamy and awestruck face. goshiki took a picture and likes to torment him with it. shirabu has it as his lockscreen now lol
as your boyfriend, he’s the exact same. very standoffish to everyone outwardly but to you? it’s a different story.
nonetheless it’s not very obvious. so yes, he will have a scowl on his face as he tells you off, but his lips are slightly upturned and there’s a little pink shade on his cheeks that show just how endearing he thinks you are
really loves to practice with you because he loves seeing you in your zone like that. also you look hot
anyways yes he’s such a cutie i will not take criticism

OIKAWA TOORU - WALLET PHOTOS
- summary - you knew your husband was a romantic but you didn’t know he was this much of one - fluff (x f reader)
a vent one, i didn’t like my previous statement but long story short, today i found out i’m unable to have kids which has caused my parents some upset so i’ll be a little less present this week as i try and help them let it sink in, thank you <3
being the wife to a pro volleyball player had it’s ups and downs. yes, you were incredibly proud of every single one of his achievements and you were ridiculously happy that he was living his dream but, the time you spent together was limited. with him travelling and training so much and you being restricted to stay at home a little longer due to the fact you and oikawa shared a 3 year old son together, you didn't get to see as much of him as you did when you first started dating in your third year of high school.
oikawa had suggested the name ‘kosuke’ which meant ‘rising sun’ as he was adamant about giving his first son a name which somehow related to his best friend and practically brother, haijime who’s name meant ‘beginning’. of course you agreed as haijime had been with you both through many experiences while you were together, and it was him you owed for keeping your husband in check all those years.
haijime cried the first time he met your child and his name was explained to him.
“shut up shittykawa.” the man sniffled as you handed your husband’s best friend and your child’s new uncle, your son to hold for the very first time.
since your child’s birth, haijime had made sure to spend time with your family and drop by even when oikawa was out of town so he could bond with his technical nephew.
today was one of those days. oikawa was training as the hours of the day dragged on and yourself and haijime were sat on the sofa basking in the warm sun that drifted into your living room through the clear windows. your son was left to his own devices babbling and grabbing at his own feet only to tumble over and attempt to keep grabbing them.
you sighed as haijime turned to you with a small smile.
“stressed?”
you hummed and turned to the man.
“not particularly, just miss him.”
haijime let out a quick ‘ah’ and nodded as he turned to look at your son.
“i know he misses you too so don’t tell him i told you this but, he carries a few pictures of you and kosuke around and shows them off wherever he goes.”
you snorted as threw your head back slightly.
“really?”
“mhm, keeps a few candid photos in his wallet and shows them off at any chance he gets. he thrives in attention and probably feeds off of the compliments your sons pictures receive.”
you smiled. that sounded like something he would do.
you and haijime spent a few more hours catching up to which your son spent majority of the time pulled up on his uncles lap as he grabbed and giggled whenever haijime spoke and smiled down at him.
eventually the sun began to set and haijime bid a farewell to you and your son and told him to say hi to his best friend for him and let him know that he’d drop by whenever he’d next be around. you nodded and waved at the man until he was out of your sight down the pretty and peaceful street.
turning to kosuke you offered the boy a warm smile to which he happily returned.
“oh you are so a mommy’s boy!” you laughed as you carried your son to the kitchen to prepare dinner.
kosuke was sat in his highchair as he mindlessly watched whatever was catching his attention on the tv that played in the background of you cooking. his laugh and incoherent noises faded into the background as you cut vegetables and admired the view from outside your back garden.
you were so focused elsewhere, you failed to hear the sounds of the door opening and footsteps approaching. kosuke’s babbling and excitement got even louder as the sounds of your husband grew closer but you ignored them and stayed in your own little world to which oikawa immediately pulled you out of when you felt a pair of strong arms wrap around your waist from behind.
“t-tooru! you idiot i have a knife!” you whined as your husband laughed and nuzzled his face into the crook of your neck.
“sorry sorry i couldn't help myself, but you’re so talented i knew you wouldn't harm yourself anyway.”
you frowned as you continued to cut vegetables as oikawa stayed wrapped around you.
“you’re so beautiful y/n, how’d i end up with you?”
“relentless flirting and clinging until i said yes.”
“mean y/n!”
you snickered as you put the knife down so you could turn to face your husband properly.
he smiled as he studied your pretty features as the golden sunlight enhanced your features only making you look even more unreal to oikawa who only sighed in happiness.
pressing a soft kiss that held nothing but warmth and pure love, oikawa cupped one side of your cheek and let his other hand lean against the kitchen counter ultimately trapping you against him.
“aren’t you going to say hi to your own son?” you mused as oikawa pulled away.
“of course i am! just gotta save the best till last right?” he teased as you playfully slapped his chest.
approaching his son, oikawa had a giddy smile to which your son returned back. his strong arms pulled kosuke from out of the high chair as he gently threw him into his arms and pulled him close to his chest.
“how’s my handsome little boy been today? been good for mommy and uncle haijime today have you?”
you smiled as you watched your two favourite boys interact.
“very good. he missed his daddy though.” you commented as you poured the vegetables into the ramen stock.
“daddy missed you too my little prince! and - ” oikawa carried his son over to where you were standing.
“daddy missed his princess too.” he smiled as he placed a kiss to your forehead.
“save it for the bedroom.” you groaned as oikawa laughed.
he pulled away as he looked at yourself and then his son.
“hey y/n, thank you.”
you quizzically raised an eyebrow.
“for what?”
“for this. for my son. for marrying me. for everything really.”
you blushed at his upfront words and put the lid on the boiling pot before facing your two boys.
“yeah? and thank you.”
this time oikawa blinked in surprise.
“me? for what?”
“for asking me to marry you, for bringing our son into the world with me, for letting yourself be happy and doing something you love, for showing off pictures of me and kosuke for every stranger you meet, for -”
“-huh? what was that?”
“for asking me to marry you?”
oikawa whined as he tugged at the hem of your sleeved.
“y/n! who told you i show off pictures, i bet it was the old lady down the street who always walks her dogs when I'm out for my run she-”
“haijime.”
oikawa let out a dramatic gasp to which his son fell into a little fit of giggles at his fathers childish behaviour.
“i’ve been betrayed!”
you laughed as you pecked his cheek before walking past him to grab another kitchen utensil.
“i think it’s cute.”
oikawa pouted before carefully placing your son back into his highchair.
“...you wanna see them?”
he didn't even give you the chance to reply as he strode back to the hallway to dig through his bag to find his wallet before returning to you with a proud smile.
opening up, oikawa showed you the selection of photos he carried around with him all day.
“haijime only told me you carry a few! you have a whole albums worth of pictures in here tooru!”
“i do not! they’re all my favourite ones look!”
oikawa shuffled through the photos showing you the various ones he kept.
there was one of yourself and tooru at your wedding, one when you were giving birth to kosuke, one of you holding kosuke for the very first time, one of you and kosuke sat behind the birthday cake on his first birthday, one of you napping in your bed with kosuke cuddled up to you and a large array of just random shots of yourself and your son individually.
“see, all my favourite ones.”
you took a photo off the small pile and smiled. your husband really was just a big romantic, that much hadn't changed.
the photo fell out of your grip between your fingers and you went to pick it up off the floor. oikawa quickly said to “wait!” but you’d already seen it.
on the back of the photo, oikawa had written a small caption on the back.
“y/n pleaseeeee!” he whined as he tried to swipe it before you only to lose to you.
your eyes widened at the neat writing on the back.
‘my beautiful wife and our little star on his first time watching me play a match.’
you smiled widely as oikawa blushed in embarrassment.
“you weren't meant to see that.”
“well, i’m glad i did... do they all have little captions?”
oikawa sighed before nodding curtly handing you the small pile.
each photo had a little description of what was going on in the photo and it made your heart warm as oikawa watched you with a small look of adoration twinkling in his honey pooled eyes.
“tooru, you’re such a sap, but i really really do love you.” you laughed as oikawa mumbled in embarrassment that his wife had been exposed to an even sappier side to him.
“i like to be reminded of when and where these were taken, not that i need to but when i’m old and my memory begins to falter, i’ll have these little descriptions to help me remember the blessings you’ve given me and how lucky i am.”
if oikawa tooru wasn’t making your heart speed up before he certainly was now.
you placed the photos neatly in a pile on the counter before throwing your arms around your husband who happily pulled you into him.
“i love you so much y/n, and i love kosuke just as much. of course i want to carry these photos around all day, it’s like i have a little piece of you by my side when i can't be with you.”
you pulled your head into his chest listening to his heartbeat.
“i spoke to my coaches and well, i’ll be spending a little more time with you, that's why i was home so early today.”
“how comes?” you mumbled into the cotton of his shirt he'd changed into after a quick shower after his training.
“haijime told me you’d been missing me a little more so i spoke to the coaches and they'd noted that i’d been doing particularly well recently and granted me a more flexible schedule since we don't have any actual games coming up until two months time.”
you smiled and let out a little sigh in satisfaction.
“you didn't have to.”
“well y/n, i did. and you know why? i want to expand that little pile of photos i have and i can't do that when i’m not there to take any new ones.”
“you are such a sap!”
“your sap though.”
the two of you stood there in the dim rays of sunlight peaking through the window of your spacious kitchen listening to nothing but the sounds of the tv still going on in the background and your son’s noises of amusement watching his parents embrace right next to him.
“i’m still going to kick haijime for telling you though.”
“no you won't.”
“...no i won't.”

Obsession, Chapter 10
‘Mmm, kitten. I can picture you now. Restrained to my bed, naked, with only a bow wrapped around you, so I can unwrap you like a present… The perfect present. Take my time with you, licking every inch of your skin. I bet you taste delectable, darling.’
Robyn bit her tongue and tried to keep quiet as she listened to the pervert on the other end of the phone.
She was sitting at her desk in her bedroom, she had been trying to do some work when Tom called her. Like he did every night since his first phone call over a month ago. It always turned to him speaking filth to her, telling her all the dirty things he would do to her.
If she hung up on him, he would just keep ringing her until she answered again. She couldn’t turn her phone off because it was her works phone too, she had to be on call for her boss in-case a new story came in. So she had learned that it was easier just to let him talk and get it over with, it saved time.
After Max’s death, there was no way she could continue to cover The Choker’s story. Especially because of how close he was to her, stalking her. The roses and chocolates kept coming. She had binned the roses and chocolates once, which angered him. He had called her up demanding an explanation as to why she did that, then he warned her if she did it again, he would start hunting her friends. Rattling off a few names to her to prove that he meant business.
So every new bunch of roses went into the vase on the windowsill in the living room. She blamed herself every day, wondering if she did something wrong to get his attention.
She worked from home now mainly, and she didn’t go out with her friends. She was too scared he would latch onto one of them and kill them. She didn’t trust him not to go after everyone she loved.
Pinching the bridge of her nose while he kept purring seductively right into her ear, she tried to ignore the feeling between her thighs at his words. But it was hard, he had a wonderful voice, and he certainly knew the right things to say to get her worked up.
But she would never let him know that, or act on it. He was a murderer, he didn’t deserve to win.
She had threatened to go to the police with all the information she had. But he just laughed and threw that back in her face. Saying it wasn’t a crime to send fan letters and flowers. That he was too well respected at his work, he would easily be able to get alibis, there was no evidence linking him to any of the murders. And of course, she was scared he would go after her friends.
Figuring because he hadn’t tried to actually approach her yet, she thought, or hoped, he wouldn’t kill her. Maybe he was just obsessing over her for a little while. She hoped that maybe he would move onto someone else soon and forget all about her. That maybe his threats about making her his were just that, threats.
When she did go out, she was almost always followed by him. He didn’t care about being so sneaky anymore, blatantly stalking her. But she still never got a good look of his face, he always had a hood up. He was a hell of a tall guy though, looked quite lean yet with broad shoulders. Going by the murders, she knew he was strong. So didn’t want to get on the wrong side of him.
Yet at the same time, she was so angry and just wanted her life back. While she was still grieving over Max, she knew she needed to start living again.
But it was a difficult thing to do with a serial killer being obsessed with you.
Tom was stroking his cock while he spoke to her, telling her everything he wanted to do to her. Again.
Once he made himself cum, making a mess on his stomach, he let her get back to work. Much to her relief, she couldn’t hang up on him quicker. He was irritated, he desperately wanted her. Physically.
Now that Max was out of the way, he did try to resist just a little longer. To hold off until he was properly ready for her. But he was struggling more and more every day. The obsession with her was just growing far too strong within him, he wasn’t going to be able to contain it for much longer.
So he started the ball rolling.
-
Robyn heard the following evening that her doctor, Doctor Scott, had been killed by The Choker. There was also a break in at the surgery he worked, it was thought to be The Choker. Since the burglar used keys to get in, Doctor Scott’s keys. But it was weird, as nothing was taken. But it was shown on the CCTV a hooded figure going into the building.
Robyn wondered what the hell Tom was playing at. Was he just toying with her? Or someone else? She wasn’t sure if it was directed at her or not, since Scott had been her doctor. But he was hundreds of other people’s doctor, too.
She had to stop taking everything he did as personal. He was a serial killer, after all. It’s what he did.
A few days later, her friend Faye was on the phone.
‘Come on, Robyn. You’ve not been out in months. Please come with us, it will be fun. It’s Sandra’s birthday after all.’ She pleaded.
‘I dunno…’ Robyn sighed. She desperately wanted to get out of the house, to go and enjoy life again. A night out with the girls would be just what she needed.
‘Pleaseeeee!’ Faye begged.
‘Alright. But I’m just going to have a few drinks. And I’ll meet you at the club, and leave apart from you all. I don’t want to attract him to you.’
‘Ok, deal. It will be so good to see you again!’ Faye said excitedly.
Robyn was nervous, she knew she shouldn’t be doing this. But she pre booked an uber to collect her, hoping that Tom wouldn’t have time to follow. So he wouldn’t know where she was going.
She knew as soon as she got there she would relax. And on the journey there, when there was no sign of anyone following the uber, she allowed herself to get excited about her night out.
-
Robyn sat at the bar with a few of her girlfriends in the club, drink in hand while she swayed back and fore to the music. It felt so good to be out.
A tall shadowy figure stood in the corner of the club, watching her every move. Watching the way her hips swayed whenever she went to the dancefloor to let loose, the pretty blue dress she wore hugging her figure beautifully.
When Robyn ordered another drink, she foolishly left it at the bar when one of her friends dragged her, yet again, to the dancefloor.
The figure made his move. He swiftly crossed the club and as he passed the bar, he stuck his hand out and dropped a small pill into her drink. No one noticed as it quickly dissolved, everyone was too busy wrapped up within themselves and others, lost to alcohol and music in a sea of sweaty bodies.
He headed out into the crisp night and made up camp just along from the entrance. Biding his time.
-
Robyn felt funny. The drink suddenly hitting her, even though she could’ve sworn she hadn’t had many. But she definitely didn’t feel right and she knew something was wrong.
She headed to the cloakroom to get her jacket, well, stumbled there was more apt. Her vision was starting to get fuzzy and her limbs felt heavy. Just managing to hand over her ticket in return for her jacket, the woman watching the cloakroom sneered at her. ‘Ridiculous how drunk people get.’
Robyn barely registered what she said as she started to make her way outside. But as soon as she hit that fresh air, she thought she was a goner.
She stumbled to the side, but strong hands captured her just before she fell into the wall.
‘Woah, easy there, darling.’ A smooth voice reached her ears. One she was sure she had heard before… But she was struggling to focus, trying to remember where she knew that voice from.
The world was spinning, all she knew and could feel was being held against someone. Alarm bells were ringing within her at that voice, she knew she had to fear this man. But she couldn’t place why.
‘Come on, let’s get you home.’ He said softly, his large hands holding her and guiding her down the street.
‘No!’ She garbled out as she tried to push away from him. But she was far too weak, her bones felt like jelly. And even if she hadn’t been drugged, she wouldn’t have stood a chance against him anyway.
‘Shhh, shhh. Come now, kitten. Don’t want to make a scene now, do we?’ He said firmly.
It suddenly hit her. She knew who it was. It was the same man that had been toying with her for the past seven months. The same man who had, up until now, kept his distance from her. Or so she’d thought, anyway.
It was Tom.
That voice was the same voice that called her every single damn night for the past month. Saying barley anything else but utter filth to her with that sinful voice that she so wished wasn’t so captivating.
But what terrified her the most. Was the fact that the very hands holding onto her so strongly, were the same hands that had committed such evil, despicable crimes that made her skin crawl merely thinking about.
What he was capable of…
She did not want to make him angry, in fear of becoming another statistic on the news.
When she started to comply, not trying to get away from him, he hummed in approval. ‘Good girl, that’s better.’ He purred, leading her away.
But not far down the road, her legs gave way as she lost consciousness. So she was scooped up into his arms and carried home. Her purse was raided for the key as he let himself into her home and carried her straight through to her bedroom.
Robyn was still out cold when she was laid down on her bed and her clothes were carefully removed.
Tom breathed in sharply as he took in every inch of her, his heart hammered in his chest at finally having her like this. Stripped naked and so vulnerable to him.
Slowly stroking up her inner leg, he marvelled at how soft her skin was. Unable to resist, he lifted her foot and kissed her inner ankle. Then he started working his way up her body, kissing and licking as he went, until he came to the main prize.
Breathing over her softly, he pressed soft kisses to either side of her cunt. Then slowly started to lick her, delving between her folds and up over her clit. He draped her legs over his shoulders and continued eating her out like a man possessed.
Robyn’s body was reacting well to the assault, he could feel and taste her getting wetter. But she started to come round briefly, though she still felt like her body was so heavy and as if her mind didn’t belong to her anymore. She managed to glance down, her stomach churning when she saw a strange man with a head full of curls down between her thighs. A beard scratching against her sensitive skin while his tongue focused on her clit, forcing her to cum even though she didn’t want to.
She tried to reach down to push him away, but she just couldn’t. She passed out again, her mind going blank.
When she came to a little while later, it was to the sight of the man above her. In any other circumstances, she would’ve said a very attractive looking man. One she was sure she recognised somehow... He was smiling sweetly down at her as she tried to scream, because she felt a very large presence pushing into her, forcing her body to accommodate him, whether she wanted to or not.
‘N… no…. p…’
‘Shhh, hush now.’ He whispered, leaning down flush against her he stroked her hair and kissed the side of her lips. ‘Relax, kitten. It’s about time I took what’s mine.’ Was the last she heard before passing out once again as he thrust deliberately into her.
-
When Robyn woke in the morning she felt so groggy, like she had the hangover from hell. She could barely remember what happened last night as she sat up, her whole body felt achey and like she had been hit by a bus.
She didn’t remember drinking that much. In-fact, she couldn’t remember anything from last night after dancing with her friends to her favourite song, it was all blank…
But when she got out of bed and stood up, she paused as her blood ran cold.
Parting her legs, she reached down between her thighs and whimpered as she felt a very sticky mess there… Slowly dribbling out of her and down her inner thighs.
‘Oh no.’ She cried, panic hitting her.
She was naked, which wasn’t exactly unusual because sometimes she did sleep naked. But having a man’s cum inside of her was NOT usual since losing her boyfriend.
Running into the bathroom, she jumped straight into the shower and did her best to get as much of it out as possible. Then she just sat there in the shower, in tears. Shaking. Not knowing what to do, or even who did it.
But then she realised… what if he was still here?
Shaking with fear, she turned the shower off and grabbed a towel. Wrapping it tightly around herself, she slowly made her way out of the bathroom and inched her way through her house. Checking in each room carefully, then she darted for the door and made sure the chain was on.
Only then did she relax a little.
Though not for long. A few hours later, after much contemplating of what to do, her phone rang.
She glanced at the number. She knew exactly who it was. In a weird hope of desperation for someone familiar, no matter who they were, she answered it quickly.
‘I think that’s the first time you’ve answered me so quickly, kitten.’ The voice on the other end of the phone purred.
Then it suddenly dawned on her. The voice, it was so familiar… She couldn’t place him last night, why he had been there… But she had heard that same voice last night, and now she knew why it sounded SO familiar.
‘You… You were there last night.’ She stammered.
A low chuckle reached her ear. ‘I was indeed. I must say, it was nice to finally lay claim to what belongs to me. Even if you were unresponsive… This time. Do you know how becoming you look when you cum?’ He growled.
Robyn let out a sob, it had been him. He had been inside her home… Inside her. Before hearing anything else, she hung up on him and turned her phone off.
She slid down the wall and started crying.
Not only was he a serial killer. And a stalker. He was a rapist too.
And she knew that she was not just his victim. No. She was his toy. One that he was having fun playing with.
She screamed, not just in fear or pain, but in anger.
Now she knew that his threats weren’t just threats. They were promises.

"Please believe me" for 11/river with lots of angst but a happy ending pleaseeeee :( I miss them so much :(
someone reminded me of the fact that 11 didn't tell cl*ra that river was his wife, or that he was married at all and it made me angry
The first thing she did when she regained consciousness was slap him.
It was instantaneous; one sharp slap as her expression contorted with rage and heartache as their eyes met. Her breathing grew heavy as she struck him, and though he expected it he still cried out in pain and stumbled a few paces back.
"How dare you," she hissed, and when he looked back up at her again, his hand covering his reddening cheek, he saw that she was quivering and her eyes were filled with tears. "How dare you, Doctor."
"River," he gasped, as she advanced on him dangerously again, getting out of the bed and striding calmly towards him. "River, I-"
"How could you trap me in that hell," she started, her voice quiet with fury, "and never return? No visits, no messages - I was in that computer for over a thousand years and you couldn't take a second away from your joyrides to even check if I was still there."
He gulped as she glared at him through her tears, still wearing that ridiculous garb she wore in Trenzalore, her hair like a majestic lion's mane against the bright lights of the medbay.
"I thought you would come back," she said, shutting her eyes. She seemed angry - but not at him this time. At herself. "I thought you would have the decency to just erase me if you couldn't find a way to save me. But you just went off gallivanting with your women. Did you even spare a thought for me at all? Or was I really just Professor Song to you?"
"Don't be - I - River - of course -" the Doctor stammered, but as she watched him, his cheek bright red from the force of her slap, she seemed to lose all the fight in her.
She turned back to the bed and leant on it, her shoulders hunched as she cried.
"I thought you would come back," she repeated, but instead of the fury with which she spat the words out before, now it was with a choked sob as tears poured out of her. "I waited for you. Every day I waited for you, until I realised that you wouldn't come. I was on my own. And then, after Trenzalore, it dawned on me - I was always on my own."
She turned and perched on the edge of the bed, looking at her husband with gaunt eyes and a wry smile.
"You never intended to save me, did you, my love?" she asked softly. "You trapped me there when we met but by the time we married you must have realised just how much I would have hated being in that data core - and yet you never had the decency to even see me there."
The Doctor shut his eyes and looked down. He didn't know what to say - she was right, about all of it. She didn't deserve him; she deserved a husband who loved her selflessly and he - he was the most selfish man in the universe.
"I'm sorry," he whispered brokenly, but it didn't sound enough.
"Did you even grieve for me?" she asked him, but she wasn't sure she wanted to know the answer. "Or did you find some other young, pretty thing to impress? What was her name - Clara, was it? I hope you treated her well, my love." she laughed harshly. " Better than you treated me, anyway."
"Of course I grieved for you," the Doctor answered softly, his eyes still shut tight. He couldn't look at her. "I never stopped grieving for you."
But she shook her head. "You didn't even tell anyone about me. Like I never existed at all." she pointed out to him. "Clara didn't even know you were married - what did you tell her I was?"
He didn't answer for a moment. And then he mumbled, "An ex."
She nodded once. "Is that what you want me to be? An ex? Was that what it took for her to fuck you?"
The Doctor's eyes widened. "No, River -"
"I'm leaving," she interrupted. "If you want me to be an ex, then I'll be one. I've spent too much of my life trying to be someone you can love, Doctor. I'm not about to squander my second chance at living on someone who never wanted me in their life."
"Stop," he whispered.
"Why?" she challenged, eyes blazing. "You know it's true. I gave everything up for you. I gave my lives to you - every single time, I was there for you. And you couldn't even-" she closed her eyes and swallowed as more tears escaped. "You couldn't even get over yourself to visit me. Just admit that it's over, Doctor. Because I am so tired of hurting over this - over you."
"It's not over," he said softly, staggering towards her. His eyes were blinded with tears as he dropped to his knees and held her hands. "It's not over, River. You're right - you deserve better than me. You've given me so much that I don't deserve - and I couldn't - I'm not -" more tears escaped and he took in a shaky breath as he continued. "You asked if I grieved for you. I couldn't - after our last night, I didn't leave the Tardis for over a century. I held your pillow to sleep because it smelled like you. I drove myself crazy because I missed you so much it felt like my hearts were being ripped apart."
He looked up at her and kissed the back of her hands. She was watching him and crying silently, red rimmed eyes cautious but hopeful. But he could still see how betrayed and heartbroken she felt, and he wished that he was a better man.
"I'm sorry." he repeated again. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. You deserve a billion apologies after what I've done to you and it still wouldn't be enough." He pressed another shaky kiss to her skin and she felt his lips quivering against her. "When I found out you escaped, I - I couldn't get there fast enough. I was so - so unbearably happy, River. Happier than I'd ever been. It was like my hearts stopped ripping themselves apart."
He sighed, heavy and remorseful, as he looked down and shook his head. "But I don't deserve you. You're right, River. I didn't tell anyone about you. But only because - because every time I thought about you, all the pain would come flooding back. It reminded me that I could never be with you again. So I didn't tell anyone - it wasn't because - I didn't do it so I could -"
"Are you sure?" she asked, her voice gentler than it had been since she woke up. "She liked you, you know. I could see it. And my love, you are not as innocent as you like to pretend. If she's who you're with now and I've showed up and complicated things, just tell me."
His head shot up and he held tightly onto her hands as he answered with a firm, "No. It's not like that, River. I - not since - I couldn't. Please believe me. Please, River."
"But she-" River frowned. "So you didn't fuck her?"
The Doctor flinched at her curse, but shook his head. "There was never any chance of it."
River looked doubtful but didn't say anything. The Doctor sighed and stood, sitting next to her. She didn't move away but she didn't turn towards him either.
"I didn't forget you. You were everywhere, River. I could hear your voice in my head, telling me that I left the brakes on or scolding me for being so slow." he said. She remained motionless, looking down at her lap. "I know I haven't given you any reason to believe me, but I do love you, River. You're my wife. And I - I'm so happy to see you. I'm so happy that you're alive and breathing and - and free. And if you want to remain free, I won't stop you."
At that, she turned to look at him, her eyes slightly widened in shock. He continued, smiling reassuringly at her.
"You choose what you want, dear. I won't stop you. I can be in your life as your husband, or a friend, or," he paused, as though even thinking the words were hard. "Or I can not be in your life at all. I won't blame you if you choose that. But I wouldn't be a selfish old man if I didn't at least try to convince you to stay."
"Doctor," she whispered, but she didn't seem to know what to say.
"I will be better," he whispered, fresh tears springing into his eyes as he gazed at her. His expression was one of hopeful desperation - she recognised it from when they fought together and were on the brink of losing. She never realised she was something he wanted to fight for. "If it's for you, I know I can be better. Please let me try. You don't owe me anything - God knows I don't deserve this at all - but I swear, River, I'll do everything I can for you."
He reached out to touch her cheek lightly, wiping her tears away. "I've missed you so much. I love you so, so much, River."
He leaned towards her but before he could blink she threw herself into him, sobbing into his chest as she clutched tightly at him. His arms wound themselves around her automatically and he found himself holding her, stroking her hair and shushing her.
"Whatever you choose, dear," he whispered soothingly to her, rubbing her back as she shook in his embrace. "Just remember that I love you. Please, don't forget that."
She cried and cried and cried until she couldn't anymore, until tears refused to fill her eyes again. She felt so conflicted but she knew herself - she knew that there was never any choice to begin with. It was only ever him, the Doctor. Her stupid husband.
'You don't have to choose now," he told her softly, as she stopped shaking and simply rested her head against the wet spot on his chest where she cried. "Think about it for a while."
"I don't have to. I know what to choose," she mumbled against his chest. She pushed herself up and looked into his eyes, her hand reaching up to brush his hair out of his eyes. "Just please, don't make me regret it."
His eyes burned with more tears at the realisation that she was choosing him. He sniffed and dropped his forehead onto hers, hugging her tightly to him.
"I don't deserve you," he whispered again. "River, my wife, my partner - my equal. How could I ever fall in love with anyone after spending centuries loving you?"
She smiled against him. "Don't be an idiot, sweetie."
Their lips met for the first time in centuries.

12 Days of Christmas - Day Four
Based on the prompt: “I moved in next door a few months ago and had no idea how enthusiastic you are about Christmas, but I mentioned I hadn’t decorated, so now you’re knocking on my door with a box full of decorations and are begging me to let you decorate”
a/n: so apparently I forgot to queue this one up and just realized it when I got off work lol oops here you go also this is my first time writing elriel so I hope you like it!
The True Meaning of Christmas
Azriel was ready to come home and just relax. The weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas were always crazy at his job, filled with people trying to catch up from taking time off for Thanksgiving and people trying to get ahead in order to take time off for Christmas to spend time with their families. Azriel had no real need to take time off for either holiday so he kept going as usual, but the constant flurry of activity in and out of his office was exhausting.
It was Friday night, and he was beyond ready for the weekend. He’d already ordered a bunch of Chinese food as he left the office - at least enough for 3 or 4 people even though it was just him in his apartment - and he had plenty of beer in the fridge. It was looking like he was all set for a perfect weekend of doing absolutely nothing.
He’d just gotten settled in on his couch with a beer in his hand when a knock sounded at his door. He stood, puzzled. It was too soon for it to be the Chinese delivery person, and his brothers were busy this weekend, so he had no idea who was at his door.
He opened it hesitantly to find his neighbor Elain standing in front of him with a huge box in her arms.
Elain lived in the apartment immediately next to him, and she was the only one of his neighbors he’d met in the three months since he moved into the building. She’d come by and introduced himself a few days after he’d moved in and had offered to show him the best coffee place in the city, and overall he really liked her. He didn’t know a lot about her, but he knew she was kind, and sweet, and generous. She was like sunshine personified and he basked in her warmth every chance he got.
“Hey Elain, what’s up with the box?”
Elain shifted the box slightly so she could see him better, and when she did he saw the slightly embarrassed smile she had on her face. “Okay I know you said you don’t decorate for Christmas but I love Christmas and I can’t stand the idea of you being here by yourself and having no Christmas decorations.” She set the box down as she spoke, obviously unsure of what his response would be. “Pleaseeeee let me decorate? It won’t be over the top or tacky I swear. I’ll make sure nothing is in the way too, I just want you to have at least some holiday decorations in your apartment. Nobody should have an undecorated apartment at Christmas.”
Azriel was torn. On the one hand, he didn’t really care that much about Christmas. It wasn’t something he particularly hated, but he didn’t really enjoy it either. On the other hand, it was almost impossible to deny Elain anything when she looked at him like that. She was just too adorable with her big brown eyes and pleading, innocent face.
Azriel huffed a laugh, opening the door wider and grabbing the box from the floor. “Alright, fine. You win.”
Yay! Thank you Azriel!” She bounced past him and kissed his cheek as she went.
Azriel stood frozen for a moment, watching the bubbly woman flit around his apartment and wondered if he was going to regret this.
He then spent the next 3 hours watching his apartment slowly transform into one where it was possible the person living in it liked Christmas. As promised, none of it was tacky, but between a small tree on an end table, a wreath on his door, mistletoe in the doorway to his kitchen, and a few other minor additions, he was surprised to say that he actually didn’t mind the decorations, and almost was starting to like it. But that could also be because of the woman who’d put them there.
Elain was a force of nature when she planned. Most of the time Azriel just watched her work, too scared of messing her up to try and assist. They talked easily as she worked, sharing little pieces of themselves, and laughed over the Chinese food they shared when it arrived about half an hour after Elain did.
Long after Elain left, Azriel sat on his couch looking at his newly decorated apartment, thinking about her. The more he thought about her, the more he realized that he could learn to love Christmas after all.

⇥ Masterlist
You storm through your front door, your blood boiling with rage and sadness. “Am I totally undatable?!”
Jimin eyes you cynically from his spot on the couch, the half-eaten slice of pizza hanging inches from his mouth. “What are you talking about?” He doesn’t spare you another glance, taking a bit of the pizza and returning his attention to the tv in front of him.
You slump down next to him with a huff. “He dumped me. He really fucking dumped me.”
This however makes Jimin sit up straighter, his eyes now focusing solemnly on you. “Why? I thought you said he like you and things were going great.”
“So did I!” You shriek, throwing your hands in the air. “We’d been hanging out a lot, going on countless dates. And you know how I like to hold out on sex?” You pause for Jimin to answer.
“Yeah, you like to get to know the guy first blah blah…”
You glare at him, “Like that’s such a bad thing! But not the point here.”
“Then what is the point?” He grins with his mouth full of pizza.
“The point is, that after six weeks of dating, we finally had sex.”
Jimin’s eyes goes as wide as teacups, his mouth practically falling to the floor. “Six weeks?!! What are you a prude?”
“Jimin!” You kick the side of his leg, a yelp of pain coming from him. “I am not a prude! I lost my virginity when I was 17!”
He snorts, “So? That doesn’t mean you can’t be a prude.”
“Jimin, come on! Stop being an ass.” You whine. “This isn’t funny. Why would he dump me straight after he’s slept with me?”
A knot forms in your chest at the sudden thought of him just wanting you for sex. But why would he do that? All the dates you went on didn’t indicate him being that kind of person.
You catch Jimin looking blankly at the wall behind you, so much that it makes you turn around to see what he is looking at.
“What are you staring at?” You question.
“Maybe you’re bad in bed.”
“I am not bad in bed!” You gasp offended.
“How do you know?”
“I… I… I am not bad in bed, okay!”
“Fine.”
Silence falls over the living room, as Jimin goes back to watching tv like he hasn’t just claimed that you are bad in bed. How would he even know that? You’ve never slept with him! He can’t make such a statement without having anything to base it on!
“How dare you say I’m bad in bed!” You protest loudly.
“I didn’t say you were. I just posed it as a possibility for why he might have dumped you.”
“But what if you’re right huh? You’ve now planted the thought in my mind, how am I supposed to get it out?! It’s going to be etched in there for eternity!”
Casually, he shrugs. “What if you just call him and ask him?”
“No chance in hell!” That would be downright embarrassing. You might as well also show up on his doorstep completely naked while you’re at it.
“Well maybe you cou-“
“You!” You gently grab him by the shirt, his entire body turning to you in shock. “You could help me find out!”
“How?” He hesitates, swatting your hands away.
“Let’s have sex!”
Jimin starts laughing the second the words have left your mouth. “Sorry sweetheart, but I don’t bat for your team.”
“Please!” You beg him. “You’re the cause of this, therefor it’s your responsibility.”
“No.”
“Oh come on, please please pleaseeeee!”
“Noooo ____! I’m not going to sleep with you!” He get up from the couch, strolling to the kitchen and coming back with two beers. He cracks them both open and hands you one. “I haven’t had sex with a woman since the night I lost my virginity in high school. That was conveniently also the same time I found out I was gay.”
With a pout you sip the beer. The bitter yet delicious taste making you sigh in relief. This is really what you need right now. You take another. “You’re supposed to be my best friend Jimin. This is what friends do for each other!”
He sits back down. “That’s funny, because I don’t remember that being a part of any of my other friendships. The answer is still no, ____.”
You can tell by the way his entire face has become stiff and his eyes darkened, that he means it, so you don’t press him further. Guess you just have to find out some other way.
Maybe you could trick one of your other friends into it?
Only seconds later Jimin surprises you by saying, “But I might know someone that is willing to help you find out.”
“What? Who?” Your attention has been grasped. You know that Jimin has a lot of straight and hot male friends, but you’ve never dared to make a move on any of them in fear of being turned down. They are all way out of your league.
“Yoongi.”
You almost spit your beer in his face. “Yoongi? As in Min Yoongi?”
Jimin wordlessly nods.
Not the guy you had in mind…
“The man is a womanizing whore, Jimin!” You retort, not at all happy with his answer. “He’s probably slept his way through the entirety of Seoul already!”
He leans forward, placing his beer on the table before turning to you. Slinging an arm across the back of the couch, he tugs one leg under the other. “I’m not disagreeing with you on that one, but that being said, it also means that he’s more than experienced and might have the answer you are looking for.”
Crossing your arms, you make a face of displeasure. Yoongi? Really? Couldn’t it have been anyone else. The guy is probably a walking STD.
“And besides, it’s not like you are looking to get into a relationship with him. You just want him to tell you if you’re bad in bed or not.” He shrugs twirling the string on his sweatpants.
“I guess…” you hesitate. “but what make you think he’d even say yes?”
“It’s sex.” He deadpans. “In all the time I’ve known him, I’ve never seen or heard of him turning down sex.”
“Well that makes me feel wonderful.”
Aimlessly, you’ve been strolling back and forth in front of your living room window, to the point where wear marks are beginning to appear in the hardwood floor.
Yoongi is going to be here at any minute now, and your nerves are sitting on the outside of your clothes. This is a first for you. It’s not like you’re a virgin – far from it, but you like to get to know the guys you sleep with beforehand. You’ve never had a one-night stand before. Well aside from the time you lost your virginity to some guy named James in high school.
But what went down that night can barely be classified as having sex. More like two inexperienced people, desperately trying feel any kind of pleasure and working out how everything works.
You barely even know Yoongi. You’ve met him a few times through Jimin at parties, but the extent of your conversations have only been a short ‘hey’ or ‘bye’, and then he would always be sauntering off, his eyes on some girl – his first target of the night, and you wouldn’t see him again that night.
Obviously, he’s attractive, you would be lying if you said you didn’t find him extremely attractive, but the thought of you being another notch in his bedpost still doesn’t sit well with you.
Maybe Jimin was right. Maybe you are a prude…
The sound of a car door slamming down on the street, grabs your attention, your head swirling around to catch a glimpse of the back of Yoongi’s dark hair, before he locks his car and walks up the pathway to your apartment building.
A short footsteps later and there’s a knock on your front door.
Before you change your mind, your open it one swift move. On the other side, Yoongi stands with his hands in his pockets, his head tilted to side and a shit eating grin on his face.
“Hey there dud rod.”
The nervousness dissipates in an instant and all you wanna do is slam the door in his face, but you need this.
“Yoongi,” you bite your tongue to hold back on adding a few adjectives, choosing to be the bigger person and be friendly. You are going to be having sex with this man in a few minutes after all. “Come on in.”
Stepping aside, you let him in. He’s already been here a couple of times in the past when you and Jimin have had a party, so he knows his way around, and he acts on it, going straight to the living room and looking around.
Shutting the door, you follow his steps. You decide against sitting down, instead choosing to stand on the other side of the coffee table. “So…” you quietly say in a try to ease some of the tension, but Yoongi cuts straight to the chase.
“Where’s your bedroom?”
“What?” you stagger.
“Your bedroom.” He repeats, rolling his eyes and standing.
“Why?”
“Don’t be coy, sweetheart,” he grins, his eyes filled with humor. “I’m here to judge your bedroom performance.”
God! Could he be more of a jerk? You feel humiliated enough as is that Jimin had to ask him to help you out with this.
Why, oh why couldn’t Jimin just have been straight for one night?
“I know why you’re here,” crossing your arms, you nervously shift your weight from foot to foot. “I just thought we might talk… a little before we… you know.”
“Have sex. It’s not a dirty word ____.” He teases taking a step closer. “Why talk when we can just get down to business.”
“Uh… You know… T-To set some ground rules?”
Yoongi crosses his arms, giving you a funny look, his nose scrunching in disbelief. “Rules?” With a roll of his eyes, he takes a step forward, automatically making you take one back as well. “If this is what you do every time you’re about to have sex, then I think we found the problem.”
Clenching your hands into fist, you itch to reach out and punch that stupid grin off his face, but you have more class than that, and before you can react in any other way, Yoongi takes it upon himself to find your bedroom. Walking down the small hallway he opens each door till he eventually finds it.
“What am I about to get myself into,” you whisper to yourself, mentally trying to shake off your nerves before following him.
With hesitant steps, you close the door behind you, and you make sure to lock it. Jimin has promised to not come home until later, but just in case he does you make sure to lock the door. You even wiggle the handle to check.
Just to be sure.
Yoongi huffs a dark chuckle from the spot he’s taken on your bed, amused at the obvious state of nervousness you are in.
“Why are you so nervous? It’s just sex. If it wasn’t for Jimin’s detailed description of some of your earlier sexcapades, I would think you were a virgin.” He comments.
Wide eyed, you stare at him, your cheeks flaming with embarrassment. “Why would Jimin tell you about that?!”
“I gotta get something out of this.”
“You’re getting sex!” puffing your cheeks, you let out a harsh breath. “Sex that you for once don’t have to pay for.”
Yoongi pauses briefly, his head tilting in a way you’ve come to find very annoying. You have quickly learned that it’s what he does when he’s about to be an asshole.
“Well, even if you do turn out to be a bad lay, at least you’ll have your humor… oh wait? Shit, you don’t have that either.”
“Look,” you say sharply. “This is embarrassing enough for me as it is, okay. I don’t feel particularly great about having to ask some guy I barely know to have sex with me, to find out if I’m any good. So could you possibly not make me feel worse than I already do?!”
Leaning back on his hands, he stares at you, his eyes scanning you from head to toe, his eyes softening the slightest bit. “I’m not trying to embarrass you; I’m just giving it to you straight, like you want me too. No pun intended.” He laughs shortly.
Groaning, you run both hands through your hair frustrated and annoyed, taking deep breaths you hope to cool down.
“I’ve never done this sort of thing before, okay.”
“Never done what before?”
You hesitate for a moment. Suddenly the fact that you’ve never had a one-night stand before, is a little embarrassing to admit out loud to someone who’s main occupation is hopping from bed to bed. “I’ve never had a one-night stand before, okay.”
“What?!” He blurts in surprise, jolting forward. “How can you never have had a one-night stand before!?”
Annoyed you huff at his arrogance. “Well excuse the fact that I usually like to get to know the men I’m going to sleep with, beyond just their name.”
The frustration and humiliation are about to get the better of you. Why are you even doing this is the first place? It’s stupid! So what if you even are bad in bed? That’s not a valid reason to break up with someone… is it?
Is it too late to become a nun?
Turning you back to Yoongi, you step towards to door, you hand on the doorknob ready to let him out. “Look,” you begin but stop as you hear the bed creaking and Yoongi’s footsteps coming towards you. Before you know it, you can feel him behind you, his chest pressed up against your back. He rests his hands on your hips, pressing you back against him further.
“No, you look,” he whispers, his breath hot against the side of your neck.
“Uh… I-“ the words you were about to tell him gets lost, your mind completely blanking for any rational words. The only thing you can focus on right now, is the feeling of Yoongi pressed against your back side, and his soft lips grazing the shell of your ear.
“Stop talking. You might not have don’t this before, but I have.” He spins you around so fast you have to grab his shoulders to not fall flat on your ass. “Now, I’m going to do what I normally do, and I suggest you do the same.”
Taking a step closer, he squeezes your hips before once before running his hands up the length of your body, fingers brushing over the sensitive skin on your neck and into your hair. You barely get to register the feeling of his hands before his lips crash onto yours in a heavy kiss.
Instantly you freeze, your lips forgetting how to kiss, but it doesn’t faze Yoongi one bit. He takes the lead, moving his lips against yours as his fingers dig deeper into your hair and tilting your head to the side for a better angle.
It’s only when his tongue swipes your bottom lip, that you kick into action and finally kiss him back, melting into the kiss with a soft sigh. You relax, the anxiety and the nerves slowly dissipating.
Pressing you up against the door, he licks your bottom lip again, seeking entrance which you gladly allow him. Your tongues battling for dominance, but you quickly surrender, instead focusing your energy on savoring the feeling and running your hands through his hair, tugging lightly at the soft strands. It draws a low growl from his throat, a sound so animalistic and a sound that goes straight between your legs. You do it again, wanting to hear it for the second time.
It works. He growls, pressing you harder into the door as both of his hands leave your hair to grasp you under your ass.
“Jump,” he commands against you lips.
You comply without question. Wrapping your legs around his waist and your arms encircling his neck, your tongues continuing to explore each other.
He’s already hard, the feeling of his bulge beneath his jeans setting your insides on fire and making you slightly eager to get things moving. You squirm in his hold, your breast squished against his firm chest, and a sweet hum of satisfaction leaves your lips when he rubs against you in just the right place.
Spinning around, Yoongi carries you to the bed, dropping you on to it. First, you are confused. He just threw you onto the bed like you were yesterday’s old shirt, but secondly, you are turned on. No one has ever thrown you on the bed like that before. Each of your past lovers have always handled you like you were a piece of porcelain that could break at any second.
This is a nice change. A change you didn’t know you liked until now.
Before crawling on the bed with you, Yoongi discards his shirt, throwing it on the floor and leaving you to stare at his firm abs.
Your fingers itch to reach out and touch them, just to see if it’s an illusion or if they really are as hard and firm as they look from where you’re lying.
“Stop drooling and take off your shirt.”
Now your fingers itch to punch him in the face. “You’re an asshole.”
But yet you find yourself complying to his command, your shirt landing on the floor next to his. He crawls on the bed making you lay down till he’s full above you, his arms cascading you in. He lowers himself, his arms taking most of his weight and his lips going straight to your neck. His nips at your skin, his teeth lightly grazing over your pulse point, his tongue swiping over the same place to soothe the sting that follows his bite.
You can’t help the moan that escapes you, the feeling of his lips moving on your neck going straight to your core. You reach up, roughly combing your fingers through his hair and bringing his lips back to yours.
“Eager?” He smirks into the kiss.
You’re done wasting time and being timid and nervous. The thought of why you are really doing this is the last thing on your mind.
“Just get on with i-“ Your words gets swallowed by a low moan as he grounds his hips against you.
Yoongi breaks the kiss, working down your body instead. He leaves open mouthed kisses down the base of your throat and between your breasts. With his hand he raises you off the bed slightly, enough for him to reach under you and open your bra.
It lands on the floor in seconds, his mouth not wasting any time in taking one of your nipples between his lips and sucking.
“Oh,” you breathlessly gasp.
He sucks harder, his tongue rapidly flicking over your erect nipple while the firmly grasps your other breast with his hand.
You buck against him, your hips meeting and causing him to groan around your breast. His mouth and hand switch places, his lips lacing around your other nipple, giving it the same attention as the other got.
You are becoming impatient, your mind and body filling with the familiar feelings of ecstasy. You need more. You want more. All you can think about is wanting to see what he’s sporting beneath those tight jeans.
Speaking of jeans, you reach down, hurriedly fumbling with the button, your fingers keeps slipping each time Yoongi flicks his tongue over your nipple, but eventually you get it undone and the zipper follows till you can push his pants down his hips.
With a pop Yoongi’s mouth leaves your breast and he sits back on his haunches before you can do anything further. He smirks, eyeing your naked upper body and the small red patches he has sucked into your skin. A hum slips from his pink lips.
You expect him to make some snark comment, but he doesn’t, instead he quickly rids you of your jeans, leaving you in only your panties.
“Black lace,” he huffs. “How basic are you?”
You roll your eyes, lifting yourself up on your elbows. “If you are so against my black underwear, why don’t you just take them off?”
With no further warning he does just that. Ripping your panties down the middle, the flimsy material hanging off his pointer finger where he twirls it arrogantly, before flinging it over his shoulder. On instinct you close your legs only to have Yoongi pry them back open. A heaty look in his eyes.
“Don’t go shy on me now, babygirl.” He drawls, slipping down between your legs, his mouth inches from where you crave him the most.
Lazily, he runs a finger down your slit, your arousal coating his finger. He brings the glistening digit to his mouth and sucking it clean, his tongue peeking out teasingly – wordlessly speaking of what he can do with it. The vision, igniting something deeper inside you and you have to close your eyes for moment. You could just about cum at the sight if you really concentrated.
But you don’t even get to take a breath before Yoongi drags his tongue up your soaked core, before wrapping his lips around your clit. Your eyes flutter shut as a whimper floats into the air. Blindly, your hands search for something to grab onto, anything they can reach and Yoongi’s hair is the first thing they make contact with. Pulling at his hair, he allows you to control his movements, his tongue slowly circling your clit before he drags it down to your entrance.
Again, with slow and precise movements, he pushes his tongue inside you, the intrusion making you arch into his mouth. No sooner, his tongue leaves you and you are about to protest and beg him to keep going, but your words get caught when he substitutes his tongue for two of his fingers.
A whimpered ‘oh fuck’ rushes over your lips, your eyes opening to look at the scene between your legs. His fingers are buried inside you – knuckles deep, and his tongue is now busy flicking across your sensitive bud at the same fast speed as his fingers inside you.
It doesn’t take very long for you to feel your orgasm building. The combination of his fingers and tongue being almost too much.
He’s had some practice, that’s for sure!
He hums around you, your eyes rolling to the back of your head as the sound vibrates through you. You choke back a moan. You are dangerously close to cuming.
You push at the top of his head, “Wait, wait, wait! Shit!” You pant trying to gather your thoughts.
He slows down, his fingers still buried inside you, slowly stroking your inner walls. His chin is glistening with your arousal. “Don’t tell me that I’m the first guy about to make you cum?” he teases, lips ghosting over you lower lips.
“Get off your high horse, you jerk.” You roll your eyes. “I-I want to cum with you inside me.”
“And you will,” he promises, his eyes turning dark. “After I make you cum around my fingers.”
Two seconds after he’s spoken, he speeds up his fingers, curling them just the right amount while his lips suck wildly around your clit. You throw your head back on a loud moan, not even caring that your neighbors might hear you.
“Oh fuck, of fuck, oh fuck!” You moan repeatedly, tipping over the edge as your orgasm hits you full force, your body shaking.
When he’s sure that he’s stroked every last bit of your orgasm out of you, he gets off the bed, kicking off his shoes and his jeans falling the rest of the way to the floor. He is about to pull down his boxers, but you stop him.
Both of you surprised by your actions but for different reasons. He thinks you are about to stop him and leave him high and dry, but instead you get up and push him down on the bed.
Enjoying the look of shock on his face, you crawl on top of him before any doubts can set in. Crashing your lips together, you grind down on his clothed cock. You can feel him smirking into the kiss, your sudden dominance clearly turning him on as you feel him harden.
You rock against him, your nails scraping down his chest to the waistband of his boxers. Gently, you run the tip of your fingers under the band, your kiss never breaking. You tease his skin, dipping your finger a little lower only to retract it and do it all over again.
Yoongi groans, his hands taking a hold of your ass, pressing you down on him further. “Dangerous game you’re playing right now.” He warns.
“Maybe I like a little danger.” You whisper hazy, a sudden burst of confidence rolling over you.
Burying your face in his neck, you suck harshly on the skin there, making sure to leave behind a few bruises of your own. This might be a one time thing, but you are intent on making him remember this, making him remember you. You are not going to be another nameless face on his bed post.
Your lips continue downwards, kissing a trail of wet kisses down his chest and over his firm abs till your reach the line of his boxers.
In a teasing manner you bite the waistband, your tongue sneaking out and skimming over the light patch of hair he keeps there. Your palms gliding up the inside of his thighs and settling over his bulge.
“Shit,” He clenches his jaw, feeling the pleasure build, all his blood rushing to his cock at one touch.
All those sounds you were making seconds ago, have worked him into a frenzy. His hunger for something more taking over. He wants to see you lips wrapped around his cock.
You make quick work of taking off his boxers, his cock springing into view. You are surprised to see that he’s bigger than the average guy. Still he isn’t the biggest you’ve ever had.
“Like what you see?” He grins, his arm sneaking behind his neck for a better view.
Instead of answering him, you return his grin, lowering your head and pressing kisses from the tip and all the way down the shaft. You repeat the process until you reach his tip again, your tongue teasing the underside of his crown.
“Fuck me!” his deep grunt only spurs you to do it again.
Grasping him with one hand, you wrap your lips around his cock, taking him as far as you can. The taste of pre cum hitting your tongue and making you sigh around him at the bitter yet sweet taste. Your hand makes up for the portion you can’t reach with your mouth, your fingers tightening around his base as you find the perfect combination. His hips buck against you, his cock sliding further into your mouth and almost making you gag.
“Shit!” he curses, tangling his fingers in your hair.
Oh, how you love the power you have right now. You love that way you have the ability to drive him wild with just the touch of your mouth. The look on his face is almost illegal. The way he throws his head back against the pillows every time you flick your tongue over the tip of his cock, the way he holds his breath as a way to control himself to not blow his load in your mouth too early.
Way too soon for your liking, he stops you. Grasping the side of your face, pulling you off him and before you know it, you’re back to laying on your back with Yoongi sitting between your open legs.
His eyes speaking of sins and lust.
Wide eyed, you stare at him. In your jaw there’s a subtle ache, but the ache between your legs overrule the one in your jaw.
Yoongi grabs you by the back of your thighs, dragging you down the bed until your ass comes in contact with his thighs. You feel his cock against the inside of your thigh, and instinctively you clench around nothing, the ache flaming up.
You are not going to lie, having your legs spread wide like this with Yoongi staring straight at your exposed core, makes your somewhat nervous and excited at the same time.
You are excited to see for yourself if he really is as good as the claims he really is, but you nervous and scared to find out if your skills in the bedroom really are the problem to why you got dumped.
Yoongi sees the change in your eyes, “Last chance to back out.” He warns you, before reaching past you to the nightstand where he grabs the familiar foil packet. He must have put it there when you were still in the living room.
He’s giving you an out? “No,” you shake your head. “I wanna do this.”
“Thank fuck.” He breaths relieved, ripping the packet open with his teeth and seething himself with the latex.
His hand reaches between you. With one hand he spreads your legs even further apart and with the other he guides the head of his cock to your dripping entrance.
A shiver runs down your spine and you allow your eyes to flutter closed when you feel him press inside you. Each inch stretching you out, a burn of pleasure and pain following. He doesn’t stop until he is fully buried inside you, his balls laying against the curve of your ass.
Opening your eyes, you bite back a groan, your hands fisting the sheet beneath you. His thrusts starting out slow and shallow. Immediately you want more. You want him to pick up the pace, you want to feel his hips snapping against yours, but you decide to keep quiet. Instead you clench around him each time he sinks back inside you. Your walls sucking him in and making him suck in a breath.
Yoongi gets the hint, and with a firm hold on your hips, he picks up the speed, pounding into you. The room quickly fills with the sound of your skin slapping together and your cries of pleasure.
“Yoongi!” you shriek. The movement of his hips sending you further up the bed.
A deep groan radiates through his body, “Fuck me, you’re tight.”
You no longer have control of your own body. Your inner walls are having a mind of their own, clenching and unclenching rapidly, desperately trying to keep up with the intense pleasure that is making its way through your body.
Slowing down, he stills almost completely. His cock sliding in and out of your warm heat in slow strokes. You both watch as he sinks back in only to retreat seconds later. He’s dragging out both of your pleasure, wanting it to last as long as possible.
With his cock still buried inside you, he leans over you, his weight being supported by his forearms. Suddenly he’s very close, your eyes locking together, and it feels almost too intimate.
Gently he starts rolling his hips, not going too fast but setting just the right pace. Your hands travel up the side of his ribs, the tips of your fingers ghosting over his skin and leaving a trail of goosebumps. Stopping at his shoulders, you sneak your arms around his neck, his forehead coming to rest against yours.
He begins alternating between sharp and fast thrusts, and slow and gentle thrusts – the rhythm making your head spin. Gradually, Yoongi seems to get bored of the pace and his hips launch into action once again, snapping wildly against yours, drawing loud cries of pleasure from you.
Tightening your hold around his neck, you bring his lips to yours.
Kissing has always been one of your favorite things to do during sex. It just adds that one extra thing, making the whole process that much sweeter.
Taking your lower lips between his teeth, Yoongi sucks on it. The slight prickle of pain shooting through your body and to the place where you’re connected.
You whimper into the kiss, mumbling, “God, you feel so good.”
Slowing down a tad, he pulls back to look at you. “You like that, huh? You like me cock filling you up?”
You’ve never really been one to enjoy too much dirty talk, but the way Yoongi’s voice rings deeply through your ears, has your toes curling and your want to hear more.
“I love it,” you groan, your lips gracing his and you tease him with the tip of your tongue. Running it along his lower lip before giving it a gentle bite.
He snaps his hips harder, his cock brushing past your favorite set of nerves on each pass. “I can’t wait to feel you cum around my cock,” he hisses. “Can’t wait to feel you desperately milking my cock for my cum.”
His dirty talk is enough to send you straight to edge, dangling dangerously close to falling over. Your body shakes under him, your nails digging into his shoulder blades, ready to hold on once you fall head first into your orgasm.
“I’m so close, I’m so close, please don’t stop!” you pant, your eyes squeezing shut.
“Eyes on me, babygirl!” he snarls. “I want you to look into my eyes when I make you scream my name.”
The pounding of his hips intensifies with the look of pure animalistic hunger in his eyes. You feel the tension in your lower abdomen building before it explodes without further warning.
A half broken scream of his name flies past your lips as you cum around him, your eyes never venturing away from his darker ones. Your hips are jerking ferociously, meeting each of his thrusts.
Yoongi takes a hold of your hair at the top of your head, tilting it to make your lips meet. Hungrily, he kisses you, your lips working together as one.
“Fuck! I’m, fuck!” Seconds later you feel his cock pulsate and deep hiss vibrates through your lips as he spills inside the condom.
You help him ride out the last bit of his orgasm, your wall tightening around him, milking him for every last drop he has.
Slowing down, his thrusts turn sloppy, his previous rhythm flying out the window. Eventually, he stops completely, his cock still nestled deep inside you and his head falls to the crook of your neck. Content, you sigh – your fingers slowly running through his hair and massaging his scalp.
It’s so weird to lay with Yoongi like this after you’ve just had sex. He hasn’t even pulled out of you yet, but you really don’t mind it if you’re being honest. During the whole thing, you completely forgot the why’s and the who’s of why this happened in the first place, and you just enjoyed being in the moment.
Yoongi brushes his lips over your collarbone, one, twice, before pulling himself up in a sitting position and then pulling out of you.
You whimper at the loss of contact, already missing the feeling of his cock expanding you so perfectly.
While Yoongi discards the condom, you roll yourself into the duvet. With Yoongi no longer being on top of you, the chilly air in the bedroom makes itself known.
Before laying back down on the bed, Yoongi pulls on his boxers. You both lay staring up at the ceiling, neither of you knowing what to say. You’ve never been in this situation before, so you don’t know the right protocol for a one-night stand. Or whatever you might call what the two of you just did. Are you supposed to make small talk or are you just supposed to ask him straight forward if your bad in bed or not?
You decide to break the tension, “So…”
“So,” Yoongi repeats.
You sit up, twisting your body to face him. “I’m not sure how this works in a normal case of having a one-night stand, but could you please just tell me and get it over with?”
With a sigh he sits up. “Look, I’m not gonna lie to you,” he begins, and you already dread the rest. “You’re not the best I’ve had-“
“Fantastic!” You huff, your voice laced with sarcasm.
“Let me finish before you throw a tantrum.” You glare at him, but he ignores you. “I was going to say, that you’re not the best I’ve had, but you definitely not the worst I‘ve had either.”
“Really?” Not the worst he’s had either. “So I’m not bad in bed?”
“I would come back for seconds.” He reassures you with his famous smirk.
“Really?” You highly doubt that he would come back for seconds with any girl. “You?” You have to laugh. “I didn’t think your man whorering ways allowed you to come back for seconds?”
“If the fit is tight enough.” He drawls wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.
You smack his arm. “Alright, that’s enough.” You clumsily crawl out of bed, Yoongi laughing when you almost fall over the duvet still wrapped around you. “Isn’t the other person supposed to leave after the act is done?”
Picking up his shirt from the floor, you throw it at him hoping he’ll take the hint. He’s done this enough times to know how it works.
He pulls it on without question, next reaching for his jeans and shoes.
You stand there, still wrapped in your in the duvet, watching him dress. He even looks good putting on his clothes, but you’d never tell him that.
He grabs the rest of his belongings and heads towards the door. You can’t do anything but stand there awkwardly as he leaves the room without looking back.
A feeling of quilt suddenly washes over you and you run after him. You catch him just as his hand touches the doorknob.
“Yoongi wait!”
Looking over his shoulder, he smiles bemused at you. Your hands clutching the duvet to your body and your hair resembling something close to a bird’s nest.
“Yeah?”
“I, uh…” clearing your throat you cast your eyes to the floor all of the sudden feeling shy. “I… Thank you.” You finally manage to say to him.
You truly mean it. You wouldn’t have felt right if he’d left without you telling him how much you appreciate him doing this for you. It’s a weird situation – one you never want to find yourself in again, but still, he might be the only one in the world willing to have done this for you. And you know that if the roles were reversed and you were in his shoes, you would’ve probably felt a little used.
“Thank you?” he gives you a funny look, a lopsided replacing his smirk.
“Yes, Thank you. I-I mean, I know yo-“
One second Yoongi is standing on the other side of the room, and the next he’s standing in front of you, his hands cupping your face and his lips crashing onto yours.
You’re caught off guard for only seconds. You kiss him back, your lips moving together tenderly and slowly. Softly, you sigh against him, letting him move the kiss in any way he wants. You can feel him smiling against your lips at your surrender. Even outside of the bedroom he enjoys the control.
He pecks your lips slowly before breaking apart. He looks into your eyes, his hands still cupping your face. Languidly, he runs the pad of his thumb across your bottom lip. You watch him bright eyed, curious to see what he’s going to do next.
He pecks your lips one last time before releasing you. He leaves you standing confused as he retakes his steps to the door.
He eyes you from head to toe one last time before saying, “If you ever wanna go for seconds, you know how to reach me.”
And with that he leaves. Leaving you standing behind alone in the middle of your hallway wrapped in a duvet, your jaw on the floor.
It has been a looooong time since i last wrote something smutty lol.... remember to like and reblog if you enjoyed reading ❁

Archon's Temptation cw: none :) Genre: Fluff. Ship: Childe x Zhongli. AU: Spirited Away. AN: this is my first time writing a fic be nice. Word count: 1,133 words ~START~ Maybe it was the people, or the lack of any, but i had a strange feeling, Almost like there were people all around me but i couldn't see them. I had come across this strange town on the way to the top of a mountain with Teucer, he insisted we go and check it out but now i lost him and i doubt i could find him in such a big place like this, he said he wanted to go home but then he ran off. I hope i can find him before the sun goes down. I searched everywhere, up and down, in small areas and even behind the food stalls, but still, i had no luck in finding my little brother. I called out for him but was only met with a brisk wind and silence, actually, it was too silent, where was everybody?. The sun is going down now, i better go down to the city below and search for him, maybe he's there. If only there was a way out, i could've sworn there was never a mote here! it's..rising? I don't think i can get out of here, can i? I should go check for another exit!! Well that didn't last long, all around the run-down city is a rising mote, "Teucer in the name of the Archons where are you?.." I said out loud to myself, i hope my little brother is okay wherever he is. It was a horrible idea deciding to come here, if only i knew that before. Before i knew it i heard small little footsteps, "hello? is anyone there? Teucer is that you??" I said hopefully loud enough for whatever was there to hear me, but when i found the source of the footsteps i was very, very surprised, it was not in fact my little brother but..i actually don't have any idea what it is to be honest, its so cute though! it kinda looks like a baby dragon, but who knows it could be dangerous. The small Dragon-looking thing turned to face me and when met with my eyes promptly jumped on me and sat on my shoulder like some kind of bird, "Uh..Hi there, you..um, i seriously have no idea what you are, why are you on me?".....Silence, i should've known better, yeah right like animals could talk, on the bright side it is super cute though, and it doesn't wanna leave, guess i have a baby dragon now. It was odd how the little creature seemed to like me so much, "Guess i should give you a name, Hmmm" I looked at it and it shook its head at me, it lifted its head up showing a small ribbon with a little circular plate that said the name Zhongli, "So, your name is Zhongli huh? that's pretty cute." And i began my search for Teucer again, but it was cold, colder than i expected it to be, so much so in fact that i contemplated going inside the main building of this place. I looked at the small dragon on my shoulder, or i thought i did, by the time i had looked at my shoulder Zhongli had already been trotting towards the gate doors of the main building, i would've been mad if not for the absolute adorableness i was seeing, you know when cats do that cute little walk? yeah that just got soo much better, i didn't wanna go inside the building but i didn't wanna lose Zhongli so i warily followed behind him. We both stopped in front of the gate of the main building and when given a slight nudge it opened followed by a creaking noise that boomed through the whole city, soon after the sound of crying became apparent, it sounded far but i wouldn't miss a single chance to find my brother, i ran to find the source of the noise, and to my relief it was Teucer. I rushed over to him and hugged him tightly, "Teucer where have you been? i've been trying to find you for the past two hours!!" "i'm sorry!..there was...these scary monsters!" he said in a scared tone, hiccing and sobbing, i dried his tears and hugged him just one more time, "Come on now Teucer, lets go home now." And with that we were off. I hadn't noticed Zhongli had stayed behind until he jumped right back on my shoulder, Teucer seemed so happy, "Brother, brother!! thats a baby dragon
your shoulder! can we keep him, pleaseeeee?" his eyes shined in anticipation, "What? oh, you mean Zhongli? no, i don't think we can keep him." "What? but he's so cute, just look at him!" Teucer grabbed zhongli and held him up close to me, making a deeper voice pretending the dragon was talking "please let me stay with you bi- ahem, Childe" Then he looked back up at me and stared, and he wouldn't respond to me until i agreed to let us keep Zhongli. Once we arrived home we prepared a small bed and some food for Zhongli, he seemed to enjoy the area a lot, and after he had finished eating he went right to bed, he did seem tired, must be from living in a city where nobody lived, poor guy. I pat him on the head then went out on business duties. I came back later than i had expected, i hoped Teucer wouldn't be mad at me in the morning, i promised to give him something he really wanted. Though when i had come back Zhongli was nowhere to be found, i looked everywhere for him but i couldn't find him, until i looked outside, i found...a person?! He kind of looked like Zhongli, horns and the same color scheme. It seemed i was too loud because he looked over at me, but after recognizing me sighed and went back to watching the sky, "Who are you?!" it was a dumb question but it was the only thing i could think of saying, he stayed silent for a couple seconds "You dont recognize me? I thought you would. Its me, Zhongli." his voice was calm, and smooth. He left me absolutely dumbfounded, he was beautiful. ~Timeskip~ It was a nice night, me and Zhongli were sitting on the steps of our house, just enjoying the quietness and tranquility, then came the sunrise, "Shit..Zhongli i'm so sorry, i have to get ready for work now." i felt guilty, "No worries darling, i'll be home when you get back" he always made me smile. I went and got ready then left per usual. I think if it wasn't for Teucer getting lost i wouldn't have met the love of my life. ~END~

how does he sleep at night? - josh norris
here’s the newest fic (inspired by this tiktok actually). if you like it pleaseeeee let me know! reblog it, give some feedback, ask for more josh fics if you want to :)
word count: 4.7k
__
The memories come back like the flashes of light you see when you drive down the highway at night. A familiar smell - flash. A laugh that almost sounds like his - flash. Hearing a song that he used to play over and over - flash. Sometimes they’re too bright and you can’t look right at them without your eyes welling up with tears. Other times you laugh at yourself, wondering how you’d let things go the way they did. How you’d let yourself fall as hard as you did.
But eventually you began to cover up the windows in your mind so that he didn’t pop back up anymore; so that there weren’t so many flashes. It took months to get over, having to pick so much of yourself up after giving so much of yourself over to him. You refilled the shell of what he left behind and you were finally whole again. You were your own person and that’s exactly who you lived for now.
—
You whine and lean back on your bed, your shoulder suddenly feeling like it’s on fire. Your roommate was still holding your hand tight, refusing to let you lay down fully.
“I don’t need to go to a party! Or the bar! Or anywhere on campus that late at night,” you explain, giving Grace a look like she should know better as well.
“Yes, you do!” She argues, trying to tug harder on your hand, “you told me you’re over everything so it’s time to get back out there. Why can’t we go have fun like we used to? You hardly went out ever last year.”
She pouts this time and you sigh, hearing what the blonde was saying, but your brain was screaming at you otherwise. ‘Going out’ was exactly how you’d gotten yourself into the situation that got your heart broken so badly. You’d stayed in during your healing time the previous year and avoided any reminder of him that you could. Bars, the rink, and any of his friends were all included in that.
“Just for a little bit. The girls are all going out,” she begs once more, her voice dropping to a whisper.
Grace was the sweetest girl you’d ever met with a wild party streak that always kept you on your toes and had you staying up late to make sure she got home safe. She didn’t ask for much and you knew she loved to go socialize. If you did end up running into his friends you figured you’d be fine. You were over it after all, right?
“How long is a little bit?” You ask, though you aren’t sure you want the answer.
Grace squeals, dropping your hand and attacking you with a hug, “I don’t know, just a couple hours maybe!”
You hug her back but you know she’s lying. No one ever left a group early when they went out. It was always the bar closing or the party ending, or god forbid a boy, that made you finally deciding when it was time to leave.
—
You fought over what outfit to wear for a good twenty-five minutes before Grace pushed you out of the way and picked something for you. She swore you were delaying on purpose, to which you didn’t argue. Your nerves had your stomach in a knot and you couldn’t stop rubbing your hands on your jeans. It was a nervous habit but you hadn’t been out in so long that you couldn’t help it.
There’s a surprisingly short line to enter the bar considering it was the first football game of the season, but you aren’t mad about it by any means. You follow Grace, though her grip on your hand doesn’t allow for anything else, as she pays your cover and drags you to the bar.
“I’m not doing a pitcher tonight,” you say loudly, leaning in so she can hear you.
The bar is more packed than you expected and your eyes immediately dart to the raised section where the team usually ended up. You let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding when you don’t notice anyone familiar.
“Suit yourself!” Grace replies just as loud, slipping the bartender her card as he sets down the ridiculous drink that could easily ruin one’s night, “you know they wouldn’t be here this early anyways. I don’t know why you’re looking.”
You blush at her calling you out, but she knew. She was there through everything and she watched you fall apart when he left. You shake your head and step up to order a normal sized drink, despite the fact you hadn’t planned on getting drunk that night. You needed something to calm your nerves though.
With the cup in your hand, you and Grace head to the raised section, wanting the ability to see who was coming in, but mostly because some of your friends were already up there. It doesn’t take long before you’re onto your second drink and forgetting why you’d been so nervous in the first place. You’d missed this and that’s when you tell yourself you’re done holding back because of him. It was your senior year. You had to make the most of it.
With your hip leaned against the railing you glance down at the lower level that’s a foot below you and it’s like deja vu in slow motion. You swallow hard as you make eye contact with Jack Becker and he returns your look with the softest smile. It looks apologetic, confusing you for a moment, before you realize why he did it.
You see him then, walking right behind Jack, and your world comes falling down for a second. You hadn’t seen him in so long, but he still looks the same. His dirty blond hair is short and he has a nervous smile on his face. He never loved how packed the bar could get and you can tell he’s trying not to run into anyone. You feel a hand on your arm and you know it’s Grace, but you can’t look away.
“I didn’t know Josh would be here,” she says, leaning close enough for only you to hear and his name sounds red hot in your ear, “I thought he would have left town by now!”
You hear the apology in her voice and you know it’s not her fault. You’re about to turn to her when Josh looks up, locking eyes with you and his smile changes. It turns into the one you’re so familiar with. The soft one you got after games, the one he gave you when he pulled you close at night, the one he gave you right before he kissed you for the first time outside the Big House.
You feel your heart start to hammer and your fight or flight kicks in. You break eye contact with Josh and look at Grace, mumbling as you start to push away, “I have to go. I can’t do this. I need to leave.”
“Just wait. Please hold on for a second,” she practically begs you as she grabs your wrist.
You thought time was supposed to heal things but here you were, trying not to look over at the boy you’d been so in love with, as you keep repeating how much you need out of the crowded bar. It would have been one thing to see Jack, or even Quinn if he would have been in town, but to actually see Josh again? You were so unprepared for that one.
“I can’t do this. I thought I could, but I can’t,” you tell her, swallowing around the lump that had formed quickly in your throat.
Grace grabs your arms then and forces you to look at her, “stop it. You have not built yourself back up so much just to let it all go because he came here tonight. You are beautiful and strong. You’re getting your degree this year and you’re going to go on and do so many amazing things. He’ll regret that he ever let you go, so you need to show him that. Let him know what he’s missing.”
You take a deep breath and nod at her words, taking them in. She was right. This wasn’t the time to break down, even if your heart felt like it was physically hurting in that moment. You had to show him you were okay without him, even if you’d doubted that before.
You lean back against the railing you’d been resting on before and take another sip of your drink, smiling at Grace. She gives you a big grin back as she realizes you’re sticking it out. You’d just avoid him. That was easy enough to do, right?
And it works for a while, Jack opting to go upstairs so that they could look down at the floor. You know Josh keeps looking at you. You can feel him watching but you refuse to check on where he is. You weren’t going to give him the satisfaction of knowing you were looking for him.
As more of his former teammates start to show up, they manage to make their way to the area you and your girls were in, which isn’t surprising. You’d met Josh in that exact area two years prior. You talk to a couple of them, having missed how chaotic they could be, but it doesn’t take long for Jack and Josh to come back around too.
Josh keeps looking at you and he can feel his heart twist. He knows you’re smiling now and putting on a show, but he saw the look you’d initially given him. He saw the way your walls went back up and all he can see on repeat in his head is the broken look you had when he told you things were done; when he left you behind to get called up and swore things wouldn’t work.
He remembers seeing the tears running down your cheeks with your mascara trailing them. You’d hugged your arms so tight around your body and he did nothing to make you feel better. The guys had told him to just rip the bandaid off rather than make you wait around while he went to Belleville and lived out his dream, but as he stood there watching as you laugh at some dumb joke Mike makes he regrets it all.
He doesn’t know how to talk to you about it though. He figures you’ll ignore him or blow him off if he tries to talk to you and your friends surrounding you don’t make it any easier for him to try. Would you even want to hear that he was questioning his decision to let you go? Probably not.
Jack puts an arm around his shoulders and leans closer so he can hear him say, “just do it, man. You’re not in town anymore. You won’t get another chance at getting her back.”
Josh looks over at one of his best friends and knows he’s right. He can’t wait around. You deserve an apology and he has a ton of questions that you’ll hopefully provide answers to. He nods at Jack and takes a deep breath.
He steps forward, slipping past a couple people with his beer gripped tight in his hand. Mike sees him first and his eyes go wide before he can cover up his surprise. It’s enough of an action to make you turn, giving you a full view of Josh making his way over. You know he’s not coming to see Mike but you’re not sure why he’d be coming to see you. He’d made himself perfectly clear when he left.
You don’t even notice that Mike slips away and your friends don’t stop Josh either. You’re sure people are watching and you can’t believe what you’re seeing either. He has that same smile on his face from before, the one you loved, and it makes it so hard to look at him.
“Hey,” he says once he’s closer, his tall frame taking up your vision, “how are you?”
“I’m good. How have you been?” You say, and it’s only partially a lie. You had been good, really good even, but tonight had you doubting that.
His smile grows as he sees you aren’t ignoring him or pushing him away, “I'm okay. It’s been a while. You look good.”
“Thank you,” you say, taking a deep breath, “how’s Belleville?”
It hurts to ask. You almost didn’t want to know because it was what had taken him away from you. You hated a city you’d never been to and that bothers you. There wasn’t anything you really hated in life but he had managed to make it happen. His smile drops a little as he glances down at his shoes. It’s a soft spot for him too, you realize. Good, you think, at least it hurt us both.
“It’s really something. Team was great, the season was awesome. I think you’d really like it there.”
Your patience with him snaps over that, as you scoff and reply, “well Josh, if you wouldn’t have broken up with me maybe I would have gotten to see it.”
He winces at that and nods, rubbing the back of his neck. You were completely right and he couldn’t fault you for the answer you’d given. He had found himself looking at things in Belleville and thinking about how much you would love them, but hearing you put him in his place made him realize how much he’d screwed up.
He wanted to take you to Belleville and show you around. He wanted to call you after his games again. He wanted the excitement of having you come visit him and showing you off to his new teammates. He couldn’t though and he wanted to have that back. To have you back.
“Can we go talk?” He asks, tongue wetting his bottom lip before biting it.
You almost reach up and pull it from his teeth, knowing how many times he’d nervously chewed it raw, but that’s not your place anymore. You shake your head no at first, looking around to see where Grace had gone. Why was she letting Josh talk to you this long? She hated him more than you did.
You can’t find her so you’re forced to answer Josh, “I don’t think that’s a good idea…”
His shoulders drop and he nods, not fighting back. You feel your temper flare a little at him caving so quickly to what you’d said and you shake your head again.
“So that’s it? You still give up that easily?” You ask, trying to keep your voice level.
Josh picks his chin up, giving you a confused look, “what do you mean? You said no.”
You stare at him for a moment before asking the one question that had stuck with you the entire time, “why was I never worth fighting for? Why wasn’t I enough for that? For you?”
You’re fighting tears now, thinking about all the nights you’d asked yourself that and wondered what you could have done to keep him around. You lost so much sleep over him, over that one question, and you finally had him in front of you to get the answers you craved desperately. Josh sees that night clearly as your bottom lip starts to tremble and he’s not about to let it repeat itself.
“Please can we go talk? I’ll answer everything if we go,” he says, reaching out and grabbing your wrist.
Your stomach flips just as his touch and you suck in a breath. You look down at where he’s gently holding you and you nod immediately.
“Let’s go.”
Your friends seem to notice what’s going on finally and Grace sends Josh a blistering glare. You shake your head at her, trying to make sure she understood it was okay and that you were going willingly. She gives you a disapproving look as well but doesn’t intervene anymore.
You let Josh lead you out of the crowded building and take a deep breath once you’re outside, glad to be out of there after everything that had happened in such a short amount of time. He stands next to you, looking a little lost, as he glances up and down the street.
“So do you want to go somewhere or just out here?” He asks, sounding more nervous than you were used to.
You frown a little, not wanting to argue in the middle of the street in downtown Ann Arbor, “I don’t want to do it out here, no. Should we catch an Uber?”
“I drove,” he says, surprising you, “I parked right here. We could at least go sit or I could drive you back to your place.”
“That sounds good,” you nod, heading for the parking garage next to the bar.
It’s silent after that as Josh lets you lead the way up the stairs and heads to the back corner where he’d parked. He makes sure to open the passenger door for you and you both exchange a little smile over the gesture. Despite how awful the breakup had been, Josh was never anything but polite prior to that. Apparently he wanted to remind you of that fact tonight.
You sit in the all too familiar passenger seat, looking around at the car that held so many memories. You have to take a second to steady yourself so you wouldn’t have some sort of breakdown before the two of you even talked but there were waves of emotions rolling over you now. It was just you and Josh at this point. No random people at the bar who could intervene, none of your friends were around, and you couldn’t avoid him now.
Josh hops into the passenger seat, looking over as he buckles up, “you okay? You look a little pale.”
You shake your head, quickly reaching for your own seatbelt as you mumble, “I’m fine, yeah. Let’s just go.”
His face drops a little at the annoyance that laces in your voice but he doesn’t prod you at all. Instead he starts the car and puts it in reverse, one hand on the back of your seat as he backs out. You bite your lip and purposefully look out your window to avoid staring at the motion. It’s like he was doing things on purpose that he knew you liked.
There’s no background noise in the car and the silence is almost painful, but you’re too afraid to say anything. You don’t even know where to start with the serious things, let alone something little like asking him to turn some music on. Josh doesn’t seem bothered though and it makes your blood boil a little that after everything he was still the one who got to go on easily with life.
You cross your arms, thinking the whole ride would go this way when Josh clears his throat, “I don’t, uh, exactly know where I’m going. I just kind of assumed you still live on south campus?”
“Oh,” you say, not realizing it either since he was going the right way, “yeah same area.”
You rattle off the address and he nods, heading for the house a few streets over from where everything had gone down. You were so thankful that you and your roommates had signed a lease on a different house for the year after Josh left. It was one less reminder of him.
He manages to snag a good parking spot and shifts the car into park. He turns the ignition off but neither of you move at all. It wasn’t uncommon for you to have car conversations. They were kind of your thing actually. Having roommates, and in his case usually half the team, around sometimes made it hard to have serious discussions so you had taken to having them in his car.
It feels so much different this time though, the air is heavier and the tension between you two is impossible to miss. You glance over at him and find him picking at his steering wheel. He was always fidgeting with something when he got nervous.
“Why?” You ask and it sounds so loud in the small space.
Josh looks over at you, eyes wide and mouth hanging open just a little. He doesn’t really know how to phrase it or what to tell you. He’d been so brash with his choice to leave and let you go that he never really thought it over too hard.
“Uh…” he stumbles, licking his lips quickly and swallowing, “I guess I just thought that was for the best.”
You scoff, unable to hold it in, “bullshit. That’s bullshit and you know it, Josh. What’s the real reason? Did you want to be available for girls in Belleville? Were you sick of being tied down? You know Jack has no problem with that so I don’t know why-.”
“Stop,” he says firmly, his right hand gripping the shifter between you two, “it had nothing to do with Belleville and in case you never noticed, I’m not Jack.”
“Then what was it!” You raise your voice, feeling your composure starting to slip again, “why wasn’t I good enough to keep?”
The question flies out of your mouth before you can try and approach it in a mature way. Your voice is shaky at the end and you have to cover your mouth to muffle a little sob. Josh hears it clearly though and his eyebrows pinch as he looks at you, not knowing how he can make things better yet.
He frowns, shaking his head a little, “you were more than good enough. So much more than I probably deserved, but I thought I was doing the right thing at the time. I thought you’d want your freedom to do what you wanted and with whoever you wanted without worrying about me.”
“But you never asked me. You never stopped and asked what I wanted. It was all what you thought and what you let the boys fill your head with,” you accuse, wiping at a tear that manages to sneak out.
“Yeah,” he admits, looking over at you, seeming to take in every feature on your face, “and now when I think about you all I remember is that broken look on your face when I was leaving,”
He swallows hard, his eyes welling up suddenly, “do you know how hard it was to see you cry that hard and beg me to stay?”
You never did well with him crying and as soon as you see the tears in his eyes, yours start to feel too full, “I do know how hard that was. Are you kidding? Do you think that was the only night I cried over things? I gave you everything, Josh! And you just left. You packed up and you left without another word.”
You wipe at the few tears that start to fall even though you know it’s useless, hating yourself for being like this in front of him again. Josh sucks in a shaky breath, squeezing his eyes shut.
“I miss you,” he whispers, his hands gripping his steering wheel so tight his knuckles have gone white.
You choke out a little sob, leaning against the cool glass of the window, “Jesus Christ, Josh. You can’t just say that.”
“Why not? Because you don’t want to hear it or because you don’t think it’s true?” He quips, his jaw tightening as he tries to hold his feelings in.
“I don’t think it’s true and you’re avoiding the conversation. I gave you everything I had and somehow it wasn’t enough to make you even consider giving me a warning that you were leaving me. I got nothing but a quick goodbye and my heart broke. That’s why you can’t just say that.”
“Maybe you scare me,” he admits, his tone no longer talking about your past, “maybe I’m so in love that I was terrified I’d lose you when I left so I cut it off first. You deserve someone who’s there for you and can be around. Not some guy who’s always on the road and gone for days on end.”
Your bottom lip wobbles as you hear him say the word that changed so much of your life, “you mean loved? That’s what you meant to say, right Josh?”
He swallows hard, but the tears don’t disappear, “no I mean love. In love, head over heels, crazy about you. And now I’m here making you cry again and I can’t handle this. I hate being the one who keeps hurting you.”
He reaches over, hand cupping your cheek, and swiping at the tears that were running down your face. You bring your hand up and put it over his, leaning against his warm, calloused palm. It feels so good, like coming home when you’re scared and tired.
“I hated you. I really did,” you close your eyes, taking a deep breath, “I thought I would marry you one day and suddenly you left me with hardly any warning.”
“I did and that wasn’t fair. I know I can’t just come back and act like things didn’t happen. I know it took you a long time to feel better after I left. But you built yourself back up, I know you did,” he gives you a gentle smile that makes your heart thump a little faster. He’s closer now, leaning over the middle console and you can’t help but lean in.
“Who told you that? How do you know what I did while you were gone?” You ask, but your suspicions were there.
“Grace told Jack and Jack told me,” he shrugs, grinning over his newly told secret.
You finally laugh a little, “of course they did. They would do that.”
Josh watches you for a minute, taking in your features like you were brand new again. You were smiling still despite the tears and mascara that he’d made run again. You weren’t begging him to stay this time though and you weren’t trying to hold onto him like he was about to disappear. Things were more gentle now, like a boat that had survived a bad storm. Still a little rocky and not fixed like it should be, but floating along.
“You were always worth it,” he mumbles, his thumb rubbing your cheek, “I was just afraid I wasn’t so I made the choice for us. And I know I have no right to even ask but what if we tried again?”
You want to say yes. Of course you want to say yes. He was sitting in front of you pouring his heart out and yours had finally stopped aching from unanswered questions he’d left you with. But you knew you couldn’t just ignore what happened. This wasn’t some easy fix. He was still playing in Belleville and you were here in Ann Arbor.
“Josh,” you sigh, grabbing onto his hand and sliding it off your cheek. You lace your fingers through his and he squeezes gently, “we can’t just jump back into things. There’s a lot we have to work through.”
“Can we try?” He asks, a hopeful look on his face that makes you blush, “I promise I’ll work on fixing it all.”
“Don’t make me regret this,” you warn, but the little smile that finds its way to your lips fills the seriousness.
Josh breaks out in a grin that makes your stomach flip and he leans over to pull you into a hug. You hardly process what’s going on before he has his face buried in the side of your neck and you relax instantly. One hand grips his shirt as the other scratches the back of his neck gently. It was like he’d never left with how easily you fit back against one another.
“Thank you and I’m sorry,” he mumbles, still pressed against your skin.
You feel the tiniest kiss against your neck and goosebumps break out immediately. You didn’t realize what kind of effect he still had on you until then and it surprises you. The flashes come back suddenly; good and bad all blend together and suddenly all you can see is Josh. He’s there, he’s being open, and he’s begging for one more chance. It felt like a flash, the hot skin, the closeness of your bodies, but it wasn’t. This time he was permanent.
