Have you always been interested in creating art?

i guess so, but sometimes it's really a struggle thing. i've always liked it, i've always tried to draw, but after any failure i dropped it. i started drawing more consciously in 2020 and i got a tablet. now i'm proud of my skill development, even though i'm not good enough and i know nothing, but i think that's everyone's trouble

reuniclus: i have no idea how this sentient jellybean shot up my ranks so intensely but i love reuniclus SO much its /easily/ my fav non-legend/mythical. also unova is my favourite gen of all time and whenever i replay it i always make sure to have a reuniclus right alongside me <3 also has an s tier shiny though ive never gotten around to hunting one of my own :')

alcremie: SHES BABYYYYY i love the design so much alcremie is so CUTE i love the evolution gimmick i love collecting my favourite swirl and treat patterns i love naming them after pastries idc that they suck to use in battle also did i mention they are so goddamn CUTE . god . i love alcremie. ruby swirl superiority btw.

latias: similar to celebi in that i was endeared through the movie :') i am choosing to disregard the stuff with ash, the latias/latios storyline made kid me B AWL. also probably has one of my favourite shinies of all time, also her cry is so pretty it sounds like she is purring, Also when i played emerald and didn't know what it meant when u picked blue or red in the postgame my dumb ass picked blue and was so upset that I couldn't get latias so now i have to make up for it . also has a miku collab . also -

glaceon: is any pokemon favourites list complete without An Eeveelution,,,,, i think Not. it's always a tossup between glaceon and sylveon for me but there's just something abt how sleek and elegant glaceon's design is . its so good. idc that shes not one of the more competitively viable eevees i love her and her sassy bangs <3

ninetales: last but not least ! nostaglia aside, for a lot of the gen 1 mons i feel they're just. overall less memorable compared 2 the flashier designs of the newer gens but ninetales is SO classic . the kitsune concept will never not be fantastic she's so elegant so graceful so beautiful . alolan ninetales is also stunning but the original is already perfection I don't think the regional form can top it. also was my very first shiny hunt!!! my shiny ninetales is named nami and she is safe in pokemon home <3

⭐️ i would like to hear anything you have to say about miracle on 5th avenue!! it’s definitely one of my fav tomgreg fics and i have it saved to my phone :3

OMG i'm so glad that it's someone's fav bc i think it's one of my best works too :')

so firstly i'm really particularly proud of how comprehensive of a piece of Christmas Media i made it, with overlapping lore and classic pop culture references, and all the while keeping it in line with the nutcracker ballet. i really wanted to make it feel like there was a tangible magic to christmas (bc i think there is), and a very tangible history imbued, too.

on that vein, i forget if i've said but that ballet tg art that i drew for the fic is essentially what's going on in my mind's eye during the final scene of miracle on 5th avenue. i really wanted their conversation to feel like the pas de deux - like the music was swelling, and like they were literally dancing around a confession. if i was to make a movie out of the plot of the fic, that scene would absolutely be cutting back and forth between what's "really" happening and the two of them dancing on a ballet stage, kinda like in The Shape of Water.

also something i've never had anyone outright mention but which i really hope ppl notice is the connection between greg and the german nutcracker lore specifically:

"That looks antique," comes Shiv's appraising voice, to Tom's surprise. It's followed by a spiking urge to let go of the nutcracker that caught his eye. But he resists. "I'm surprised that Dad would let that be put out..." "That's because it's mine, Siobhan," Marcia calls from across the room. Tom does let it go carefully, then, and turns to see her patting Greg on the back. "It was made in Germany during the... second World War, I believe. But I've never used it to crack any nuts, so it's remained in fair condition. I see no reason to hide it—particularly, as I've been told that they originally served as a protector of a house. The soldier's little teeth, you see. He bears them and scares evil away."

because not only does greg protect tom but he's so integral to succession's plot that he lowkey does "protect the home." at least symbolically. he brings logan his slippers in 1x2 and wakes sleeping beauty up from his coma, so to speak. and greg is very pointedly not on the plane when logan dies. js.

also i don't think i've ever said this - the idea for a very depressed tom going to a midnight mass was lowkey inspired by the end of the movie The Boys in the Band (1970). nothing else from that movie influenced miracle on 5th avenue, it was really just that that specifically felt so tom that it got me out of a writer's block and lowkey spawned like half the plot of the fic. also i highly rec that movie, it's not about christmas at all but it's a very significant piece of gay cinema.

ANYWAY my last thing is that like a month after writing that fic i visited nyc (for unrelated reasons) and went to gapstow bridge as well as the ice rink in central park mainly so i could be where i'd written them. lol

What's your fav song from the ULTRAKILL ost? Do you ever listen to it while working on art/writing?

omg picking my favorite child....i'm very partial to the wrath layer tbh, i love "he is the light in my darkness" and "death odyssey", the former for feeling so melancholy throughout despite the sharp change in pace and the latter bc it has a distinct sea shanty flavor that i really enjoy lol BIG fan of "castle vein" too, and i think it's largely due in part to how much it impacted me upon first hearing it...i just think it has such a great opener to it! and then i gotta. i mean. altars of apostasy is so fantastic in how it breaks and almost "lightens" against the sharpness of the rest of the song. idk!! i don't know music terms at all, but those changes in mood in that one get me every time. big honorable mention to "death of god's will/"horns of insurrection"....bc i love how much you can feel gabriel's turmoil in it, how it almost feels like unraveling...and how it gave me the idea to give my gabe horns lol

and i absolutely listen to it while drawing!! i must have listened to the act ii ost a dozen times when i drew that gabriel comic - i tend to listen to music that suits the mood of what i'm making, and so the ost itself really helps get me in the right headspace to draw action-packed scenes. it's honestly indispensable in the blocking/sketching stage especially, bc the energy of the music transfers into my rough figures and i definitely make much more dynamic poses/angles than i would without it!! music is very important to my process tbh, and i'm so glad this game has such a fantastic ost that i can put on ^^

2. Share your favorite part of your first ever fic

Oh, my first ever fic is Bury me in the shadows in spring, and actually in a few weeks it's going to be my anniversary as I started writing this fic (and AruAni fics in general!).

SO, my fav part from BMSS... oh, I guess, it's the scene from chapter 2:

The blond gulps and rests his eyes on hers for a few more heartbeats, and then stands up. He looks at the name one more time - “ Gymnopédies”. Hmm, another French composer. She definitely has some preferences, huh? Carefully, he puts the record on the player, and suddenly, everything changes.  Silver rainy drops seem to be the bravest thing in the world, as they keep falling, falling, falling down from the sky - like the monotonous, infinite heartbeat of clouds. The rain continues to pour at a steady pace, and the timid piano sounds flow into the watery symphony outside the window, making ripples with its gentle, sensual tune. His breath, his heartbeat, his heat, his blood - everything dive into sleep. There’s no past, there’s no future, there’s even no present, and the sense of time has erased the same second the needle hit the record. There’s only now , only this exact instant that he wants to embroider over his body with the tight stitches of his memory - maybe, “forever” is the word that was created not for people, but for the moments like that.  The man makes a tentative exhale and slowly tiptoes with his eyes to look at the woman. He finds her eyes already on him, but when their gazes meet - she doesn’t avert it. Instead, the blonde gives him the small curve of the smile, and he can swear - he sees feeble sparkles in her eyes. But what surprises him more - he returns the gesture.  “Can I draw you?”  The simple question. The simple words. The simple request. And yet, it hits him like the infernal waterfall in a foreign language he doesn’t even surely exist in this world.  Did he hear her right? Or is this his twisted imagination one more time? Is he dreaming? Is he drunk again?  The woman doesn’t break her glance, but he sees how her fingers tightly squeeze the fabric of the sofa she might rip it, and her finger starts again to imitate the rhythm of the raindrop with her nervous tapping.  Her body doesn’t hide the tension she keeps in herself, like the strained, violin string.  However, without an answer from his end, the blonde repeats.  “Can I draw you?” The melody has changed already, and it’s as mesmerizing as the first one, but the man can’t really care more about it when before him - he sees her.  Her, the blond straight bob haircut.   Her, the short and yet gracious posture.  Her, the determining gaze of the greyish blue eyes.  Her, the cozy pastel-colored robe.  Her.  Her.  Her. 

4. Fanfic authors can be harsh on themselves, especially with older work, share three things you like about your first fic

Oh, well, as I mentioned, my first fic is BMSS... and that's hard, but anyway!

I think, I really appreciate my approach with different languages and creating the vibe of the epoch here. I do some researches, dive into details to create the whole picture not only of 1920's but also of Eastern Europe after WW1.

7. What was the inspiration behind your shortest fic?

My shortest fic is Golden Hour of Our Forever, and I really hope it's not too much narcissist because the inspiration was my own artwork :D

I drew it, knowing the whole behind the scene story, but when I finished it, I felt the urge to write it down anyway.

11. What annoys you the most about your own writing habits?

I guess, what really irritates me is that I don't write really good outlines. I do it - but in perspective, I think I need to learn how to do it more properly.

13. Do you use symbolism when writing fics? Tell us about it!

A LOT. I guess, far too much... FAR TOO MUCH. Well, two of the most frequently used - it's nature and colors. I usually left the description of the environment, not only because I want to show more of the surroundings, but also create a particular mood that would challenge the events/feelings or, on the contrary, support them.

Colors, too, pay attention to the color I use, and it would open another layer of what I want to tell with the scene or the detail :D

14. Tell us about a detail you wrote that nobody has commented on yet.

Hm-hm-hm.... I guess, it's a motif from chapter 2 of MYLYSW, when the continuous Annie's "she didn't understand, but..." transformed through the years. How it was at first "she didn't understand, so she obeyed", then - "she didn't understand, but she didn't say anything either" -> "she didn't understand, but she listened" -> "she didn't understand, but she took a step forward" -> "she didn't understand, but she hoped".

But ya I really like the ice cream back cover and I like some of the pics from the cd that I've seen. Some of those could maybe be better cover choices though. My sister pointed out that why was she wearing the same shirt from the sunrise cover on the back of the pink cover too..like the outfits don't match and I'm sorry..but it bothers me now! Other than that, yes I'm excited! I will admit that 1989 is not one of my fav albums. Sometimes the songs just blend together and one of the eras I felt kinda disconnected to her at the time and my old friends always hated her. I never stopped loving her but she kinda became like the popular girl and I couldn't relate to that even though I was also hanging out with my friends a lot during that time..but by reputation I was fully back in and also by that time all my friends had left me lol..so weirdly it did kinda like up with my life actually..which is why I'll forever love Taylor haha. Thats so cute..I think I found the Teardrops MV on someone's Myspace actually lol! I knew Our Song and maybe some of her other videos but never actually owned the Debut album. Fun.fact..i had the biggest crush on a boy named Drew in high school too..so I really relate to the song and gives me memories of high school. Ooh I connected Is it over Now? To her fame and career actually similar to the Lucky One or Nothing New but I didn't think of the slut connection! But I also saw a lot of people say is it over Now is probably a relationship..and as a closer, maybe it's actually pretty similar to Clean and that's my favorite song on the album so I'm kinda excited for that one now too. Also..I have never been out of the country so I think it's so cool that you came here from Hong Kong! I can't imagine what that would be like.

My favorite show was probably Wicked..cuz that was the first show I ever saw..and I had a lot of excitement for it. I didn't know the whole story and seeing the costumes and sets was also cool. Rent was another favorite, which I think I told you. I also got to see Darren Criss in Hedwig as the second show I saw. I liked Into the Woods cuz I got to see Gavin Creel and Stephanie J Block and her husband. I saw CATS and Lucky enough to be 2nd row and see the makeup and costumes up close and it was my 1st show back since the pandemic..so it made me really excited. I got to see HP and the Cursed Child and I never saw a play before but it wouldn't be my fav cuz it didn't have any songs..but still liked some music. Hadestown was cool cuz it's all singing and the effects and i wasn't as familiar with it either. It would be so cool to see that show without knowing anything about it beforehand.. Dear Evan Hansen is one of my fav shows as well and that was the last show I saw. But i never got to see Waitress or Hamilton and those would have been favorites probably. I'm still hoping for Les Mis next month too. What about you? How many shows have you seen overall or estimated?

Ya it didn't feel like that much..obviously they added the two songs and maybe a few 5 minute scenes..idk. I am excited to watch Theater Camp later tonight. How was it? I hope it's good and that you liked it! For the books, it was a book called the Unfortunate side effects of Heartbreak and Magic..I just read the synopsis but it was a book about witches so that's why I considered it. The other one was called Running Past Dark and it was kinda a mystery and what happened to her twin sister. I read a snippet of it but was unsure cuz I think both of these books just came out too so idk. But that one seemed kinda similar to another book called Whistleblower that's on my list..I think I picked it for orange cover. It's just a maybe at this point though. i think the ice cream cover is so so cute! i just love how happy she looks in these photos :") and i didn't notice that until you/your sister pointed that out! i love 1989, but i connect more to some of her other albums/gravitate towards them more! the album i reach for the least is definitely reputation, but i also still like it a lot. i'm very curious to see how rep tv will sound, since it's the most recent one. and i sometimes find myself wondering how her 5th album would've sounded — or how different her career would be today — if she had won for red!! i was never on myspace, but i remember seeing things about taylor's myspace!! my first social media was facebook, and i was definitely far too young to have a facebook account haha. i feel like whenever my friends and i theorize about vault tracks and how they'll sound, we're wildly off, so it'll be interesting to see what we get!!

wicked is SO fun live!!! the costumes and the set and choreo is just so good, it's just a show and i hope the movie will be similarly impressive. i don't know if i told you that i've never seen rent — i was supposed to see the ... 20th anniversary tour a few years ago when they were in seattle but also had bronchitis back then (funnily enough, wicked was also here that summer and i also had to miss seeing wicked that time around). i'm so so jealous you saw gavin creel, SJB and seb arcelus in into the woods — i wanted to see into the woods so badly </3 i've been very lucky to see a lot of shows but i've also seen a lot of things repeatedly so my number is pretty high! i think my favorite show i've ever seen live is either: hadestown, newsies (first show on broadway, very sentimental to me), marie dancing still, waitress, or come from away but i think i also have a lot of very fond memories associated with specific shows/performances — like i met one of my best friends at oklahoma!

i really enjoyed theatre camp! it was like, everything i love and hate about theatre people and i will admit that i cried a bit at the end!!! but i do cry at everything! i love molly gordon <3333 and noah galvin is very, very talented. did you like it? what did you think of it? and ooh! you'll have to let me know how those books are! i haven't been reading much lately but i have been watching some tv!! i finally watched season 2 of heartstopper, and then finished watching why didn't they ask evans? (i watched the first ep and then never finished but finished last night)! i'm almost done with my audiobook though, and then hopefully i'll feel up to reading something soooonish.

All of my old Doushino fics lmao, I like the base storyline I did for all of them, but my writing was so shitty back then and I cringe looking back at them now. Ireally really wish I could just rewrite them but Ik some people would literally shit their pants if i deleted them so im stuck

🥺 Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels?

I have a kink for apology/angst scenes haha, if couldn't already tell from my past works. It's just something that I feel everyone thrives for, especially myself, where the love interest apologizes for all their wrong doings and admits that they long for yn's forgiveness and love. Mama is a heart throb

🤡 What's a line, scene, or exchange you've written that made you laugh?

Any scene with shinobu in my Gamer Giyu fic "The Perfect Date". I tried to make her as funny as possible in that one, and believe me, there were plenty more funny moments of her in my draft for that fic that I ended up having to cut out bcuz I felt it drew away from the plot too much. Oh how I wish to make a fic just for her lol

😈 Has there been a point in a story where you did something just to be playfully mean to your readers?

I like to make the love interests assholes sometimes, just to piss you guys off hehe, everytime they do something shitty that makes you hella sad, just know that it was me 😈

✍ Do you have a beta reader?

I don't unfortunately, I kinda just go read over it myself a couple times to check for mistakes but thats pretty much it. Ngl lie though, I am kinda interested in having someone else proofread for spelling mistakes and plot holes, any takers ���� preferrably someone who's talented with that sort of thing haha

🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

I always enjoy a good simile and metaphor here and there, not really sure about themes... love at first sight maybe? enemies to lovers? tsundere? I like sad fics as well that have happy endings, I will never, ever do a completely sad ending, i just don't like them and they leave a bad taste in my mouth

🎢 Which of your fics would you call your wildest ride?

Dog, I dont even knooooooooooow, i think all of my fics are pretty straight forward and tame. Maybe Regrettable? All of my super crazy fics are still in production so we'll just wait and see, but for drafts rn, my "No Escape" (Sanemi x Reader) series is gonna be hella crazy, so just you wait

My fav thing about my writing is probably my dialogue, i think I write pretty appropriate dialogue. I try my damn hardest not to make the characters cringe and to make them relatable so I hope I've done a good job with that

Ngl, I kinda hate them. Kissing is nice and all but i write smut yall, i got bigger things to worry about than smooching. Now virginity loss fics are a whole nother story, bcuz i can actually make it enjoyable unlike real life 😭 Shitty first time gang arise ✊

Nope, I bask in silence, maybe some white noise in the background sometimes? Music distracts me too much

Yup, for those who remember, I was working on a fic called Night and Day about Kyo x stepsister reader who was living with him. Originally I had him as a yandere, obsessive person with reader being uninterested in him and the fic being non-con, but I ended up scrapping the whole thing and changing it to be a fluff fic with reader living with kyo, reader having a crush on him, and slowly the two grow closer, with tons and tons of angst and sadness. The original outline for the non-con fic is on my patreon if anyone would like to see the poor thing, it had 8 chapters outlined too haha. what a waste.

I've already mapped out the chapters and plot and everything. Im currently working on chapter two and just cant wait to get this shit done so i can post everything. I'm just excited to add to the very small pile of kny omegaverse fics and hopefully the series will inspire more abo creations for demon slayer. I would start off with headcannons, then short scenes, then one-shots, then multi-chapter. I went backwords from this list and i wish i didnt haha. theres nothing wrong with doing it out of that order of course, I just think its the best way to build up skill and get a hang of things. Also dont be afraid to take breaks! burning urself out will lead to depression babes

Some of yall have some real mean girl mentalities and need to grow tf up, this isn't fucking highschool. Im glad for thei experience tho bcuz it's taught me how to deal with negative people better. hello can I ask how you got into drawing? it's something that i want to do for a long time but I don't know where to start 😔

hello!!!! this answer is going to get nerdy as hell look away. this is also going to be a lot of long, boring story time bc I like reminiscing abt this and i like talking and im painting a story of my journey!!!! but I will also try to give like semi-useful information at the end?? It's long so under the cut:

Thinking way way back to when i was a little kid doodling, the thing that got me most into it was manga/anime (i think this is evident in my style?). I think i was prob vaguely into drawing cuz of like, Sailor Moon, but I definitely remember the moment I REALLY got into drawing was when someone introduced me to Inuyasha (*fondly thinking of grade 2 elementary school*). I got obsessed with the manga, trying to redraw my fav scenes, eventually drawing the characters (well, just Kagome for the curious heehee) from memory. I did this for years. I got into other manga/anime and eventually started emulating those styles. I think the thing that must've really spurred me on, though, was finally being online and seeing what other people were drawing and being like, I want to be able to do that.

Reading a lot of manga is a lot easier online for obvious reasons; I consumed a lot. Meanwhile I continued looking at other artists' art. I got a tablet and drew. I really got into Smackjeeves (shout-out to anyone who remembers this site) and was super impressed that people were drawing their own characters and comics. I created my own characters (with the intention of drawing a comic someday. this will never happen but to this day I still draw and think/write about ocs I created like a decade ago!)!!! Eventually I found my own style. But obviously incorporated bits and pieces of what I liked/learned from other artists into my own art (i like the way this artist draws mouths, i like the way that artists renders eyes, let me try that. etc.). I really got into various pieces of media (which I won't name gasdfgd) and was really inspired to draw a lot of fanart, and post it to tumblr.

For various reasons I won't go into because they sound annoyingly self-deprecating, I never really had a lot of artist friends. But I joined twitter and finally made a few, and it was a lot easier to talk to people and be talked to on twitter (tags are so awesome I love reading every single one!! but it's much easier to reply to comments on twitter). they had cool ocs and cool art and like, for the first time ever people were commenting on my original art (which is a great feeling) and I spent a lot of time and effort developing ocs. Continued to get into various media and draw fanart.

Over the years, inevitably there have been times when I drew almost nothing at all (school kept me busy, or I just didn't feel like it) and stagnated or got worse. And there were times that I just like improved super quickly because I was drawing so much. And I was drawing so much because I was really inspired because I was so obsessed with whatever I was into at the time (whether that be a piece of media or my own ocs) and having fun.

So I hope the thread throughout this answer is at least somewhat clear. If your question is how to start drawing it's as simple as seeing something you like, picking up a pencil and trying to draw it. if your question is what's the fastest way to improve, draw as much as you can - it helps to find something you really, really like! You'll naturally want to draw a lot, and draw the subjects in all kinds of situations, and convey your ideas. Look at other peoples' art of the subjects. If you can, maybe find a few like-minded people. I can't give good advice about to how to get really technically good (I still can’t draw bgs, or very varied features, etc. Other people have said a million better things about it: do studies, etc. etc.) but like, being into something will essentially force you to search up references and get good at drawing various things. I used to be one of those people who drew characters with hands behind their back because I couldn't draw them. Then I became determined to draw them - looked at my own hands, practiced, looked at how other people drew hands. Now they're like my favourite thing to draw! I used to only draw individual characters facing 3/4 left lol - now I draw couples, etc. from different angles (or at least, I try to) because I wanted to draw my own ocs interacting, or characters I liked interacting. I got into various pieces of live action media, which forced me to try to translate real people features into my own style so the characters would be at least slightly recognizable.

There’s that one tweet that’s like “the best way to get better at drawing is to become some kind of pervert” <- so true.

I don’t know how useful this answer will be and sorry if it’s preachy! Reiterating: just like, find something you like. Draw it. Keep finding things you like and which inspire you, and draw those too. Definitely look at other art (different forms too! you’ll notice different things you like from paintings, or movies, or digital vs traditional, or comics) and learn and be inspired. Even when you’re not actively drawing, you can be improving just by observing things. (And remember that sometimes improvement won’t be immediately evident - maybe it’s just that it’s a bit easier for you to draw something; maybe you’ve gotten faster at something; the angle of the jaws you draw is just slightly more realistic; the colours you choose are more interesting. Also note that since you’ll be seeing your own art all the time you won’t really notice even the bigger differences unless you’re looking at the most recent art vs. art from like months ago.) The other thing, which I am super guilty of not doing, is think while you draw. I’m really bad about this and then look back at something and am like damn why’d I do that (for example, I’m really bad about remembering that the thing I’m drawing is 3D, and thinking about how things act in 3D while I draw). So then the next advice is look at your own art a bit after you make it and notice the things you like and what you’d do differently for your next piece. Learn from your own art. Try your best!!! Not everything you draw will be good. Sometimes you’ll try to draw and everything will suck - whatever! like, truly, no skin off your back. try again tomorrow

This isn't spoiler free btw 

Gruvia is prob one of my fav ships and it was the first ship I wrote for so it has a special place in my heart. There are many aspects that drew me to it and although I love their dynamic and the comedy that surrounds them, I look at it on the more serious side. 

For starters, Juvia is my fav character so I was drawn to their ship anyways (plus they both hot af) 

The rooftop scene is really the beginning because Juvia who is known to be a ruthless and strong wizard and doesn’t really have any friends or any family to support her emotionally was ready to die. She was content with herself falling off of the roof and she didn’t think that he would save her because she was the enemy. She had never experienced kindness or an act of selflessness before so I think it took her by surprise. 

During their battle, Gray made a comment on the rain and it upset her but when he saved her, the rain went away and she had never seen a clear sky before. 

Their development of two broken people having this unspoken trust is something I really like. Not to mention that Juvia was the only one to back him up when ever he went undercover (both times) and didn't judge him. She had always been a ride or die for Gray if you think about it. Even Natsu turned on him quickly. 

I think I love them because of the growth they gave each other. Gray taught Juvia how to laugh and smile and want to live while Juvia taught Gray that no matter how alone he feels, she will always be there for him and you don't have to be afraid to love. 

Another reason is the way they are drawn to each other. For Juvia, she has never really had anyone to loose so I think the reason she's so over the top Is because these emotions are brand new and she doesn't know what to do with them except for feel. 

As for Gray, he is afraid to lose people he loves dearly (his parents and his master) which is why he admits to never giving Juvia an answer. 

I know a lot of people don't think they are a good pair, and that's fine of course. But he cares about Juvia but I think he is scared that the moment he decides to let himself love freely, she's going to be taken from him. He did watch her die once 

People like to say that Juvia doesn't respect Gray but that's far from the truth. If Gray honestly didn’t like her, he wouldn't be around her and could yell at her and cut her off. I mean she apologized because she believed she was the cause of his fathers death but he wouldn't allow her to feel that way. 

I just love them because Gray is opening up and learning to love slowly while Juvia is excited to have someone she can genuinely connect with. They protect each other and I think (could be wrong) they have the most unison raids together and its even admitted that they've gone on dates together. Also Gray shows Juvia a whole bunch of new and fun things that she never got to do in her other guild. 

They have a level of trust with each other. Their development is more about them as individuals growing and learning together. Plus if you think about it, they were enemies, to friends to lovers which is iconic. 

the jokes and gags around them are great too and I love that they can have comedic side as well. Plus Juvia taking on his stripping habit is hella funny. 

I think overall they have a great story and I love all the moments they have.

the first character i ever fell in love with: pretty sure i started liking all of the pogues at about the same time? but i believe it was pope since he was introduced as the Nerd and i was immediately in love

a character that i used to love/like, but now do not: i really liked ward in the beginning! it was fairly apparent from the get-go that he would be the villain (i think it clicked for me in his third scene or something) yet he was still charming enough for me to appreciate him. but it quickly became clear how awful he was to his children and that made me :/ i can excuse murder but i draw the line at child abuse

a ship that i used to love/like, but now do not: can't think of any for this show

my ultimate favourite character™: jj maybank, light of my life and actual human disaster. but also pope, rafe, and kiara

prettiest character: i have thought ever since i first watched that both sarah and kiara look like the very two moxie girls dolls i had as a kid. they're so pretty

favourite episode: oh my gosh. 2.10 was fantastic! it was so fun!! i loved all the boat shenanigans, i loved seeing cleo again, i loved that rafe and john b scene where rafe came off as a slasher film villain, i loved poor wheezie just wanting to play a game with her sister, so on and so forth. and i also adore 1.06 (where they go to the spooky mansion to extract the gold). it's scarier than so many horror movies and i love the moment of celebration that the pogues have at the end. it gives me... i think they call it serotonin?

saddest death: peterkin! listen i rewatched s1 after the second season came out and tbh, she was a little bit corrupt. but ultimately she had the best interests of the kids at heart and i was so sad when she died.

favourite season: definitely liked season 1 the most. god i honestly miss early quarantine so bad and obx1 was a huge part of that for me.

least favourite season: season 2. it was still a fun watch, don't get me wrong, but i think at times it prioritized high-thrill action sequences over authentic character moments. i read something about how obx is very unique in that it managed to capture a large male audience (around 50% of its viewers), and maybe that's why? however, i think the first season managed to be lowkey but also high stakes and i do believe they'll try to replicate a similar vibe for the third season. i just miss my kids chilling at the beach ya know?

character that everyone else in the fandom loves, but i hate: can't think of anyone. the main cast is very likable

my 'you're a piece of trash, but you're still a fav' fav: RAFE CAMERON! it took me so long to accept that i liked him because i was so upset about peterkin, but they gave him so much depth in the second season and drew starkey delivered such an excellent performance. and when i rewatched the first season i ended up just feeling awful for him :( he needs jail but also therapy

my 'this ship is wrong, nasty, and makes me want to cleanse my soul, but i still love it' ship: not going to lie i kind of fw rose and ward. it was just so unexpected to me that she ended up being more cold and calculating than ward himself and helped him rein it in when he was freaking out about another murder he'd committed. power couple that needs to stay far away from their three kids <3

my 'they're kind of cute, and i lowkey ship them, but i'm not too invested' ship: jarah! to be honest their buildup was SO GOOD but everything after that first kiss fell flat for me which is disappointing. i feel like both of them lost a lot of personality after getting together. i still want to see them be happy and in love, but i would also really like for them to spend some time apart in season 3 (not necessarily broken up, just not on screen together)
