this might be my last ask sent considering i just got caught up on cough syrup but who knows i might get attached! 

okay so for starters i’m here to say holy crap i love how you write tommy and i keep forgetting to say that! you do him more than justice, you do his character like double justice. (now i’m wondering what double justice would look like in the justice system…. probably lots of paperwork)

next i’m here to say holy moly macaroni you write dream so well. (i just realized i haven’t put !cs before things so i’m doing that now. i’m a bit tired and stuff so whejsmshfjd)  cs!dream gives me the heeby jeebies and i literally wanted to shake cs!ranboo by the shoulders the entire time he was interacting with cs!dream but i was also like hashtag relatable so oh well! you’ve just done the whole dynamic really well! (i know its not much but the fact that cs!dream was planting the ideas of “i’m your only friend/your friends want to hurt you” thoughts into cs!ranboo’s brain was an excellent touch! it was something i’ve learned about in a class about abusers and stuff and how they try and isolate people and yea c!dream did this so idk maybe i’m making a big deal out of nothing but. i thought you wrote it really well! like really well)

and of course how could i write this without mentioning cs!fundy! you wrote him so well and i’m intrigued by his character! i also really like how you wrote his dialogue while being all panicked! very nice to see that kind of stuttering written so well!

Ethan has no idea how this happened.

It was supposed to be a normal mission, as safe as missions for the IMF could be.

But missions are always unpredictable.

Ethan is helpless to do anything as Benji shoves him out of the way of the bullet.

He catches Benji before he hits the ground, and Benji slumps against him, his blood slick on Ethan’s jacket.

“Benji,” Ethan gasps. “Benji, Benji-“

Another gunshot. Instinctively, Ethan whirls around so his back is to the direction of the gunshot, protecting Benji’s body from any further injuries.

“Jane,” his voice breaks as he speaks desperately into his microphone. “Jane, the shooter, Benji-“

“I got it.” Jane’s voice is cool, and steadying. “Will’s calling in an extraction team. I’ve taken down the shooter. Ethan, you’ve gotta assess the damage of Benji’s wound. Right now. Stop the blood flow. Do you understand me?”

“Ok,” Ethan mumbles. He slowly kneels and lays Benji’s body out on the ground.

Benji’s eyes are fluttering shut. There’s blood pouring out from a place in his abdomen; a major artery or organ must have been hit. Ethan removes his jacket and places it over the wound.

“Hey, Benji,” he says softly.

Benji smiles weakly. “Hey, Ethan.” His accent, the one that Ethan loves so much, is less prominent. Benji’s voice is laced with pain, and his eyes are clouding over.

“You gotta stay awake,” Ethan whispers. “Benji, Benji, Benji, stay awake. You can’t-“

“I’m sleepy,” Benji interrupts. “Shut up, Ethan, let me sleep.”

“You can’t sleep,” Ethan hisses. “Benji, you can’t.” He looks up, desperately, searching for any sign of the extraction team.

“Why not,” Benji slurs.

“I’m not sure if you’ll wake up again,” Ethan decides on.

“Oh,” Benji murmurs. “Hmm. I’ll wake up again.”

Ethan looks down at Benji, whose eyes are closed. His chest is rising and falling, but just barely. Ethan places a hand on Benji’s neck, and feels the pulse fluttering there, weak.

“Benji,” he tries, but the words don’t leave his mouth, and he feels like the world is shattering around him.

The extraction team arrives three minutes and 29 seconds later. They have to peel Benji from Ethan’s arms.

Jane takes his hand in her’s, the pressure is soft, but reassuring. Will’s hand is on his shoulder, a silent show of support.

“Trust them, Ethan,” Will says quietly. “If anyone can save Benji, it’s these guys.”

Ethan nods. He feels numb.

Jane and Will lead him to the safe house.

“Wash up,” Jane orders. She hands him a fresh set of clothes.

It’s only then that Ethan realizes his hands are covered in Benji’s blood, and so are his clothes.

Benji’s in the ER for five hours. They don’t let Ethan see him.

I want to make sure he’s okay, he thinks he says. Just let me see him. I need to make sure he’s okay.

Will grabs his arm. “Let them do their job, Ethan.”

Ethan can read the grief in Will and Jane’s eyes; they’re just as worried about Benji as he is. He sits down in a chair, and waits.

He was shot just below the ribs. He’s very lucky; the bullet just missed his organs. However, there are shards in parts of his body. We’ll need to operate to remove them. Ethan was only able to nod in response to the doctors.

They let Ethan see him. He rushes into the room, and there’s Benji, spread out on a white bed, pale and with various tubes attached to him. His eyes are closed.

Benji Dunn is no longer in immediate danger of death. He’ll pull through. He’ll heal in a couple of months. No field work for seven weeks.

Ethan sits down on the chair next to Benji’s bed, and takes Benji’s hand, searching for his pulse. He relaxes when he finds it; it means Benji’s still alive. He slumps in his chair and falls asleep to the soft beat of Benji’s heart.

“Ethan?” Benji’s voice breaks through his slumber; it’s confused and slightly worried. “Is everything okay? Where am I?”

“Benji?” Ethan asks.

“Yeah?” Benji smiles tentatively. “You haven’t forgotten me, have you?” he jokes.

Ethan smiles. “No,” he says fondly. “I could never forget you. You’re in a hospital. You were-“ his voice breaks.

“I was?” Benji prods.

Ethan gestures at the mass of white bandages on Benji’s stomach.

Benji looks down. “Ah,” he says. “Bullet wound, right?”

Ethan nods. “Yeah. You- um, you-“

“I was shot?” Benji guesses, and Ethan hates how casual he sounds. Like it’s nothing, like he didn’t just almost die, for Ethan, of all people.

“You were shot,” he manages. His hands are shaking.

“Hey,” Benji says softly. He sounds concerned. “Hey, Ethan. You’re shaking.”

“Sorry.”

“No, it’s okay.” Benji shuffles a little to his side. “Wanna join me?”

Ethan hesitates. “You’re hurt.”

Benji shrugs.

Ethan gives him three seconds to change his mind before sliding in between the pristine white covers. He immediately finds Benji’s wrist and places his thumb over the pulse point. Benji raises and eyebrow, bemused, but chooses not to say anything.

“You okay?” Benji asks gently.

Ethan nods.

There’s a pause, and then Ethan shakes his head. His hands are trembling again.

“Tell me what’s wrong,” Benji prompts.

Ethan takes two deep breathes. “You took a bullet for me,” he says.

“I did,” Benji nods. Like what he did was okay.

“You took a bullet for me,” Ethan repeats. He runs a hand through his hair, frustrated. “Why?”

“You’re my best friend,” Benji says, confused. “I saw you were in danger. I reacted appropriately.”

“Yeah, but why?”

“Why wouldn’t I?” Benji sounds genuinely curious.

“You can’t just-“ Ethan groans. “You can’t just take bullets for people. One day-“ Ethan can’t finish.

“You’re one to talk! You’re the one who’s jumping off car parks and climbing buildings, and doing stupid self-sacrificing shit all the time!” Benji sounds incredulous, disbelieving.

“Yeah, but no one cares about what happens to me! People care about you, though!”

“Excuse me?” Benji protests hotly. “What do you mean no one cares about what happens to me? I care! Will cares, Jane cares, Luther cares-“

“Never mind that- just, don’t, okay? Don’t take bullets for people, that’s my thing, I do the stupid shit, not you-“

“You do the stupid shit? You do the stupid shit? So I’m not allowed to, what, help people? Put myself in the line of fire, because that’s my job?” Benji is furious.

Agitated, Ethan pulls away from Benji and faces him. “You can’t put yourself in the line of fire,” he exclaims. “you can’t, because-“

“Because what? Why do you even care so much?”

“Because I love you!” Ethan shouts. The moment the words leave his mouth, he turns pale and removes his hand from Benji’s wrist.

“Sorry,” he mumbles, quiet and scared, and he makes to move away.

Benji doesn’t let him. He grabs Ethan’s arm.

“Benji,” Ethan says, tired and broken. “Don’t. I’ll go. Sorry.”

“I love you.”

“W-what?”

Benji’s eyes are serious as he repeats, “I love you, Ethan Hunt.”

Ethan inhales, exhales. He shuffles back to Benji. “Um. Really?”

Benji laughs. “Yeah,” he admits. “I have for a while now.”

“Me too,” Ethan says hastily. “I’ve loved you for, a long, long time now.”

Benji smiles and rests his head on Ethan’s shoulder. “M’ tired.”

Ethan hums. “Sleep,” he presses a light kiss to Benji’s tuft of hair. “I’ll be here when you wake.”

Ethan chuckles. “I’m sorry. For yelling. I was just worried. You shouldn’t have done that. Thank you for doing that.”

early on beau had her kind of rebel without a cause, too cool for school thing going on - to me that’s a kind of pride? like it came from a feeling of isolation and disconnect from the people around her and the structures her life had operated in and also the idea that “i’m the only one who sees how bullshit everything is” that’s (at least in my own experience) a really common feeling in late teens/early twenties. honestly the first moment that shook her out of it was dairon imo (i know that a lot of beau’s change is attributed to molly’s death but i honestly think it started back with that brawl in the warehouse) and dairon has continued to be a (flawed themselves) check against arrogance for beau which is really interesting to me? anyway continuing

fjord’s whole persona that kinda wasn’t a persona during the pirates arc (i’m talking specifically about the captain pursuing his own ends, not about the accent thing) was very much a character based on knowing more about the world than everybody else did, even though i don’t think fjord himself believed it? honestly for all that you can say about fjord i think he’s lowest on the list in terms of pride (besides yasha!! who isn’t on this list!!) bc he’s very honest about the fact that he often feels like he just does not know what’s going on around him. props to that bc it is hard to do.

veth’s biggest Moment of this (and pride just doesn’t feel like the right word but i don’t know how else to capture the meaning, the idea of Knowing Better than everyone else i guess? you know what i mean) that i can think of is the letter to astrid in zadash that everyone screamed about bc caleb was the current fandom favorite sadboi at the time; it was such a big moment of trying to arrange someone else’s life for them that’s like. like it’s a Big Moment idk how to explain it. i think a lot of the responsibility she feels for yezza and luc also relies on the premise that she Knows Best which again is super interesting because it clearly causes her a lot of guilt that she’s not doing Enough for them in her own eyes when it’s like... like... talk to each other... idk idk i have Feelings about the brenattos. Arranging the lives of other people, no matter your intentions, is imo a thing that comes from thinking you Know Better than they do. 

caleb... i so do not want to re-litigate the disintegrate discourse that was imo truly a waste of time last week but i do agree with the idea that caleb’s got ye olde mythological-level hubris. the man has a goal of turning back time to rewrite his own mistakes and like it’s not just a dream it’s a Goal He’s Working Towards which means that either 1) he believes it’s possible for him to do it or 2) he can’t admit that it isn’t possible and he has to live with ‘his’ mistakes (i can’t get into the caleb stuff rn but uhhh it’s not as much a personal failing as you believe it is caleb). both of these viewpoints are like. so dependent on viewing himself as A Power That Affects The Universe instead of someone who is affected by it which is kind of the sentiment i’m trying to get at idk idk it’s late i’m tired

it’s interesting with jester and caduceus for a couple reasons but the fact that they’re both literally blessed by gods is like... like i can’t say they’re unduly proud (i don’t really think that any of the m9 are like unduly proud) because they’re literally made More Important by the deities of the setting from the moment of introduction but we do still see really interesting stuff from both of them imo

caduceus thinks he knows better than everybody else which is something i think we’ve seen from the beginning as well? that’s part of why he’s kind of set himself up as the Wise Councilor of the group (and if you ask me, why he seems unable to reach out for support of his own - all the instances of someone digging deeper into him were instigated by other people from what i can remember right now) and it’s been neat to see him reconciling things he Knows Are Right from his time in the cemetery with a more complicated reality in the wider world. it’s hard for me to say that cad’s arrogant because he thinks he’s privy to the literal divine plan when he is privy to an actual divine plan thanks to the wildmother but i think it’s interesting to see it in the small moments. we saw it more earlier i think? but like this part of his character isn’t Gone. as long as he’s got himself designated as the group moral compass i think there’s an element of this in play. 

and jester ohh jester i love u i’m so sorry everything has been so hard for so long like aaaa imagine you find out your best friend (who is also your god) has been lying to you for all of your friendship and also lying to all of his followers (because it turns out he’s not a god, technically) that’s so hard anyway. anway. i don’t wanna derail into talking about how much i love jester but i love her ok? ok. anyway jester’s current defense mechanism is retreating into the fact that she’s the best follower of the traveler and he loves her the most, because she’s Special (which again, her god told her this there’s literally nothing i can say against it) but we’re seeing that kind of fracture in an interesting way if you ask me? because the fact of the matter is, whenever jester asks a question about ‘the followers of the traveler’ she is implicitly also asking a question about herself (this is why i was so fascinated by her convo with fjord tonight also). it only works for So Long to keep repeating that you’re special when you’re not sure about it anymore oh jester i am so worried about u ohhh :( i am so sleepy but i have so many thoughts

Season 5 Lucifer

welcome to my unsolicited thoughts about Season 5 of Lucifer.  

as an avid and veteran series binger AND a talker-while-watching-a-movie-or-series-but-does-not-want-to-spoil-anything-for-my-friends type of person, i have finally dedicated a space and found a good way to let all my thoughts out as i watch a movie or series when i am alone when i can’t bother a lot of people because (1) they don’t want to be bothered and (2) i don’t want to spoil things for them.

so here are my thoughts, and of course, SPOILERS AHEAD.

BTW, i LOVED all of Lucifer! but this season was a slow burn for me. 

ep1

drug scene at Lux; is Amenadiel mean now?

so is Lucifer himself in his own hell loop when he became the ruler of hell? his own guilt towards his father? idk (to be frank, i don’t remember the past episodes except for the fact that he is now back in hell)

the premise of the first episode is cute!

side note after the title card: i remember how much i loved the soundtrack for Lucifer!

Maze is still hot.

I love how Maze and Chloe’s relationship developed and how they don’t have to use words to communicate.

Amenadiel’s and the Psychologist’s house HAHAHAHA i love it.

summer 2019 anime sum-up

lmao i realized i never did this and posted the fall season b4 this.... oops

kimetsu no yaiba: tbh started out kinda meh. and now it’s turned into one of the new big shounens. i was not expecting that. nearing the end got rly good and i was rly looking forward to more episodes! tanjiro gets cooler and cooler! animation is rly nice (thanks ufotable) and the way tanjiro’s water is animated. like. aesthetic asf. it’s so good. i love black-haired emo dude and zenitsu (my spirit animal) and ofc nezuko she is adorable im c r y. side note: the hashira? i think they’re called? some of the ugliest fkn characters i’ve seen in ages like flame boy? stone boy? i HATE them. and the gem dude too like man get a new tattoo artist on god.... he needs it.,,,,,,and inosuke is so pretty it’s unfair

dr stone: ok man dr stone rly went off. tbh. i’ve always been a whore for chemistry since reading the flavia de luce series (btw, i want more books of) and watching this just tickles my noodle brain in a good way... who needs prozac when i get a shitton of serotonin from watching senku dick around....  (btw what is going on with what’s his face and the girl. yuzuriha????? i can’t remember. i love senku don’t get me wrong but i need their perspective too... bc i hate lion dude... so much.... dick....) again i will repeat that i am a whore for chemistry so i get oFF on this. backgrounds are amazing/ animation so nice n clean (most o the time lmao). i thought i would hate the black n white haired trickster boi and ms yellow ponytail and suika but no! dr stone is such a good show that they are now great, loveable characters. also i am senku and chrome’s whore so jfc. man, i love the explanations of all the chemistry shabang, but some things i think would be better if explained! like senku doing physical labour at the beginning- ex. making all those pots and building that shit by hisself. i know he weak af. yes he smart but like. construction? difficult. pottery? even for me the artist . difficult. and that shed of his was filled to the brim. HOW. anyways, i love this so much i am crying constantly

danmachi 2: wtf yo. haruhime is so pretty but not a fan of her personality! bell still cute af and still don’t rly like aiz! animation good as always, and my god i shit myself whenever the argonaut theme starts up bc that is ? one of the best pieces of non-sawano hiroyuki pieces i’ve ever heard? addicted to it. and the opening! love the dynamics, the brief ‘rain’ scenes like when mikoto slashes the raindrops and just her motion basically? as an animator that is what i aspire to accomplish because i just love that. tiny little scene. 

arifureta: this would have been so much better had they dragged out mc’s op-ifying process! made him suffer more! i explained this briefly in my ‘first thoughts’ post for this season, but story-wise and pacing-wise his power-up could have been so much more deserved and gratifying. think shield hero- loser suffers, gets angry, slowly builds up power in an epic payoff! would have been so epic too. and also if they’d made his gained powers less.... crazy nerfed. again: HE SHOULD HAVE SUFFERED MORE AND THIS WOULD HAVE MADE A BETTER SHOW. harem thoughts: yue- meh. sucky char honestly. shea- my fav girl, she is a great character don’t judge- sexy and love her personality and love her character design and love how much fanservice she gets lol. panty flash ftw. dragon girl- discount darkness honestly , tho nice design. and mermaid girl- yuck, annoying,  DO NOT like the ‘papa’ trope! (ahem sao.) it’s gross. also just fuck mc’s classmates honestly- paladin dude sucks ass, healer girl OOF that last episode ruined her, samurai girl is ok i guess. hate ai-sensei too like shut UPP annoying ass HOEEEEE (postscript: opening=very epic too)

kanata no astra: plot twist? check. trillion well-done plot twists? check. this was done very well. i am so happy. all those plot twists and turns would usually suck in any regular anime- but this was written with GODLIKE ability. thank you, lerche. legit, this was such an enjoyable ride, i eagerly awaited each new ep! typically i hate space-related stuff but like! survival stuff gets my goat.... like this was good- (tho maybe more technical-stuff in the survival theme would make it so cooler) what shocked me the most: (spoilers alert) didn’t end up hating quitterie or funi. (tho the puppet made me want to strangle smth) luca’s gender had rly confused me but i’d decided on him being a boy- so basically that reveal left me like WHOA. i died. did luca rly have to show emo boy their tity tho... kanata losing his arm gave me the yeeeks, charce being the traitor was made sO WELL into a surprise even tho i’d kinda already suspected him<- like that was just fucking amazing writing there. gj. and ares the princess! ok man! shocked! AND also the whole clone thing, just fucked me right up. up the ass. like there are probably more plot twist layers in this than a fkn ogre has.... anyway shrek aside, yun?’s character arc was very pleasing, i think that was done very well! and the ending made me UwU like BRO? goals tbh. yeah this is a hidden gem and is just so good, so well-written overall. 

cop craft: didn’t have high expectations. i am now,,, quite,,, shocked &,,, blown away. sweetheart this is a good fucking show. so why @ livechart.me DOES IT HAVE 7.40 STARS WHEN FKN ARIFURETA HAS 7.72. can someone explain this to me? i’m outraged. LIVID.  matoba and tilarna were amazing characters btw! loved their dynamic! briefly i thought it might get romantic! nope, it didn’t, so it’s all good. actions scenes were epic, tilarna’s design and outfits were so much nicer than i thought they’d be like. she is so cute. and the op- man, if that is not such a bopper vibe then idk what is. i could watch it forever. it deserves so much more than what it’s got rn.

naka no hito genome: (serious question: is this considered some sort of isekai?) genome gave me btooom vibes honestly but like- this is SO much better than btooom and most game/trap/ kinda shows. fkn BOP of an op, especially the sequence at the end with short clips of each character in action (nutt). paka-san was a good boy and he deserves irl merch. i fell in LOve with all the characters (bubble boy= hot, akatsuki= ok meh actually kinda boring, karin= hot and i want her to punch me, ruromori= beautiful 12/10 would let her stalk me, sleepy eyes boy= baby + dazai vibes and hot af, twin boy= also hot, onigasaki= hot and love him so much, and loli girl= her light grenades got annoying but nice char design) anyways yeah more of this would be epic. i wanna see sakura and her twin reunite, and how they get out basically! also animation quality was very good which is surprising considering it’s a silver link anime.

kono yo no hate de koi wo utau shoujo yu-no: i include the whole title bc this is a good anime. (also livechart.me why 7.27 stars i will fuck you up) only meh part of this is the return to earth from dela granto bc that was like a culture shock and honestly at that point i’d forgotten a lot about what had happened on earth and didn’t care as much. btw, f ayumi and f the other brown-haired oneesan. mio and kanna ftw. obvs i didn’t understand the sayless x takuya thing like dumbass horny teenager . why u gotta creampie the worst girl. u have mio. bruh. (tho mio x ‘oyabi!’ boy is a great ship) also, takuya’s mom? keiko-san? idk if you’ve noticed but that’s literally my name so yeah just glad to finally have some keiko representation. altogether goodass anime. the time travel/ rezero esque reset thing almost got me but this was done well. so no problems. both ops very good. first song was bae, second also bae (just realized it’s by konomi suzuki, one of my waifu idols, so yea nice) and ed2 also so pretty! also yu-no’s design was rly pretty, the outfit colours, and her pigtails rly suited her :)

granbelm: sorry this is the last one lol this was a long ass post! other than the fact i dont rly like mecha this was good.... action, CHARACTER designs aesthetic asf, honestly rly pretty ok. i liked the cast, very diverse and more depth than most shows of this ilk. op was nicely choreographed- especially the part where the girls’ faces are contorted by their gems, showing their magical girl side. nicely done. mangetsu didn’t end up being that bad a char, and honestly? suigetsu is best girl and deserved better. and the ending too- like, bro, that made me kinda sad. some off points: anna’s mom was a little unrealistic as a mom like woman- please learn to control your child, and, white-haired girl’s sister should have played a bigger part, based on how her parts in the opening were emphasized! (quick note- blue girl, love her, great bad guy, when she dumped anna made me so happy honestly, she is beautiful, and i couldn’t actually decide who i wanted to win between her and suigetsu....)

He doesn’t have to look up to know that Taemin will have that infuriating half-smirk on his lips, so he swallows his flustered grin and says, “Someone liked Blue Night, and they messaged me about it. Their name is Jinki, and they’re really sweet and nice and funny.”

Day One

Jonghyun is lazing in bed instead of studying; his screen is split into two so he can see Taemin on skype and his tumblr dashboard at the same time. His phone blinks and maybe it’s redundant to have tumblr open on mobile and on his laptop, but…

Taemin looks at something else behind his computer and then laughs, and then Jongin is taking up half the screen, grinning wickedly. “You’ve got a crush?”

Jonghyun is pretty sure he actually makes a noise at that, and he rolls over to bury his face in the sheets to muffle his giggles. When he peeps back over at Taemin and Jongin, they look seconds away from laughing, and he mumbles, “They called me cute.”

“How many times has he giggled so far?”

“How many times do you think Kibum threatened to lock him out of the room?”

“Twice!” comes from Kibum and Jonghyun turns his laptop so his roommate, who is hard at work, can wave. Then comes the ping of a new message and Jonghyun quickly brings his laptop back into his lap and giggles again as he begins to type.

“Jjong, you’ve been smiling and giggling for the past few minutes.”

“That gross fond smile too,” Taemin adds. ”The one you only have when you’re talking to a cute tall boy.”

“I am not!” When Jonghyun checks his reflection in the tiny box on the skype screen, he sees that he in fact is. He almost wants to turn his camera off, but that’ll just give Taemin and Jongin more satisfaction at being right.

“Anyway,” he starts, “I’m going to go to bed, it’s late.”

Kibum snorts, and Jonghyun twists around to stick his tongue out at them. “Goodnight, you two devils.”

Neither Taemin nor Jongin flinch at the nickname, just wave and hang up. Jonghyun is quick to close his laptop and turn out the light on his side of the room before settling into bed. “Night night, Kibummie.”

“Have fun with your crush, Jonghyunnie.”

Jonghyun decides to ignore them, and he fumbles for his stuffed puppy to kiss her good night as well before opening the tumblr app.

Jonghyun is almost surprised at the keysmash, but it’s...almost endearing, and he’s quick to add Jinki on snap. Then he remembers the picture of him and Roo (his real dog, back home) and sends that through chat. Somehow, it’s nearly 3am, and maybe he’s tired, but Jinki’s here. Jonghyun finds that he always wants them to be here.

Day Two

Thursday is largely uneventful; Jonghyun only has his one calc final that evening, and after, Taemin convinces him to go get takeout to celebrate, even though Jonghyun is largely sure that he’s failed. Taemin is getting takeout now as well and Kibum is out - likely at the library - so Jonghyun has the room to himself, but he waits for Taemin to get home and on skype to start eating.

“So,” is the first thing he says, “how’s your crush?”

Jonghyun would roll over and away if he didn’t have food in his lap; as it were, he pouts at Taemin and shakes his head. “We didn’t talk today.”

But Taemin is still grinning, smug and expectant, so Jonghyun continues. “We talked a lot last night and it was really fun and they’re so-”

“Jonghyunnie, I don’t need a rundown of how cute and funny and sweet and nice they are.” Taemin’s teasing again, and Jonghyun’s pout deepens.

“Mad at you then.”

“Mmhm, I’ll go then. Bye-”

“No! Stay.” Jonghyun’s phone lights up as he speaks and he wiggles excitedly in his seat, because when he unlocks his phone, it’s a message from Jinki. It’s nothing special, just a short greeting, but it still makes his heart flutter and a grin spread over his lips.

“I’m guessing you’re talking to Jinki, huh? What did he say?”

“Jinki says hi,” Jonghyun reports, and he doesn’t know why he’s giggling, but he is. Taemin kind of just hums like he doesn’t quite believe him, but when Jonghyun looks at him, he’s grinning.

Jonghyun wants to say that he doesn’t have a crush, but at this point, he probably definitely does.

Taemin seems to realize, because he bites his lip and shakes his head, mumbles, “Never mind.”

It’s barely 12:30, and they’ve stayed up much longer, and Taemin seems to know this, because he just nods and says a quiet, “Good night,” before hanging up. Laptop put away, Jonghyun settles in bed before turning on his phone to answer Jinki.

It’s a long few minutes before Jinki answers, and Jonghyun almost falls asleep before they do, but at the buzz of his phone, he quickly wakes up again. He’s suddenly nervous, remembering what he’s about to ask, and he bites his lip before unlocking his phone.

Kibum comes back in bearing a smoothie that they give to Jonghyun. They pet his hair as Jonghyun takes his first sip (he can taste mango and strawberry, so it’s perfect), then scratch gently at his scalp until Jonghyun hums out his praise. “Did well on my final, I think,” they say, before dumping their stuff on their bed and flopping down as well. “Where’s Tae?”

“We...talked. And then we hung up. Um. Thank you for the smoothie, Kibummie?”

“How’s your Jinki then?”

“Oh! I forgot I was talking to them...having an important conversation with them.”

Kibum waves a lazy, sleepy hand and curls into a loose ball, likely already more than half asleep. Jonghyun grabs Roo and kisses her head before unlocking his phone again, which is already blinking a message from Jinki.

Jonghyun’s heart is racing and he reaches over to turn out the lights and get comfortable in bed before answering, typing slowly and burying his face into Roo’s softness to keep his embarrassment in.

The next time Jonghyun unlocks his phone, it’s nearly 4am, and he pouts to himself, taking a sip of his long-since melted smoothie and squinting at the brightness of his phone. He’s not sure if Jinki will still be awake, but now that he’s woken up, he may as well message them. He certainly hopes they’ll be awake anyway, wants to talk to them until they fall asleep again.

After turning off his phone, Jonghyun kisses Roo one more time before wiggling into a more comfortable position and curling into Roo so his face is pressed into the back of her head like they’re spooning. Even though his mind is racing with thoughts of Jinki and him and them, he falls asleep almost immediately.

The last thing he thinks about before he falls asleep is of Jinki, here, spooning him to sleep.

Day Three

Jonghyun doesn’t wake until nearly noon; Kibum is out and as soon as Taemin answers his message, they skype; Jonghyun can hear faint snoring and giggles because the deepness of Jongin’s sleep and the strength of his snores never gets old for some reason.

“Hey, Jonghyunnie.” Taemin looks adorably sleep-rumpled even though he’s been up for hours, and Jonghyun’s heart stutters in his chest for not the first time, but all he does is smile and wave to Taemin, pushing down the flutter of feeling in his heart.

“Hi hi!”

“You sure slept late.”

“Talked to Jinki until like...4am. They-” Jonghyun lifts Roo to cover his blooming smile, and when he speaks again, he does it through poorly stifled giggles. “We talked about a lot.”

“Like?”

“Not telling!”

“Why not?”

“Cuz you’re Taemin.” Pause. “I want you to meet Jinki.”

“That’s practically a given, silly.”

“And!” Jonghyun wiggles in place and kisses Roo before continuing, “guess! Guess what!”

“Hm?”

“I asked them something earlier and they said they like someone!”

“And...I’m guessing it’s you?”

“Not talking to you. I’m mad at you.”

“For being right?” Taemin lifts a hand to push his smile down and Jonghyun sticks his tongue out at him before shaking his head.

“For being mean! Roo’s mad at you too.”

“Oh no,” Taemin’s voice is dripping with insincerity and Jonghyun does not like him anymore, “how unfortunate. Wonder how I’ll ever be able to recover from this.”

“Talk to Jinki!”

“I’ll be nice to your boyfriend, Jonghyunnie.”

Boyfriend. Taemin’s grinning like he knows how flustered he’s making Jonghyun, and all Jonghyun can do is bury his face in the blankets and mumble that Jinki is not his boyfriend. As much as he may want them to be.

“Do you think they like me?”

“How could they not? You’re perfect, Jonghyunnie. Cute and funny and precious and-” Taemin cuts himself off, shakes his head. “If they don’t now, they will. And if they don’t then, they’re blind.”

Jonghyun sucks in a useless breath and bites his lip, trying to bite down his pleased, flustered grin. “Thank you, Taeminnie.”

“...Of course, Jonghyunnie.”

“I really really like them, Tae. I…” Jonghyun looks down at his phone and decides to send part of their conversation from yesterday, of his admission and Jinki’s addition. Remembering what Jinki had said makes him giggle and hide his face with his hands, and when he looks at Taemin through his fingers, he’s reading the texts Jonghyun had sent.

“That’s cute, Jonghyunnie.”

“Do you think they like me? I want them to…”

“Didn’t you say before that they said they have a crush on you?”

“They only said a little crush, cuz of how flustered I get. Want them to like me.”

“They will, Jonghyunnie. It’s only been two days, not everyone gets crushes as fast as you.”

Jonghyun opens his mouth to argue, then closes it because yeah, Taemin’s right. Again. “Just...they’re so cute and I like them so much.”

Taemin reaches out and touches his computer screen in that absent way he sometimes does when he’s meaning to run his fingers through Jonghyun’s hair, comfort him quietly. “Don’t worry so much, Jonghyunnie. It’ll all work itself out. Besides, I talked to them and...they’re sweet. I like them.”

“I’m happy!”

“Good, that’s all that matters.”

Jonghyun decides to check tumblr, first skimming through all of the messages in his inbox and then hiding his face when he sees the message that had been left for him, only about an hour after he’d fallen asleep.

Jonghyun lets Roo rest on his face so Taemin won’t see his pout, and when Taemin laughs, Jonghyun mumbles, “Can we watch a movie?”

“Don’t have time. I have a final at 2, Jonghyunnie. Maybe after.”

“Mad at you then.”

“Mm, poor baby. Did you eat yet?”

“Not yet, will while you have your test.”

“Good boy.”

“Think I’m gonna nap too.” Jonghyun isn’t sure why he says it like it’s a question, but Taemin nods like he understands, like he always does.

“I’m gonna study, okay Jonghyunnie?”

“Leaving?”

“No, just gonna be quiet. And Jongin wants me to tell you hi.”

“Hi hi, Jonginnie!”

A few beats, and then Jongin pops up on the screen, upside down. He says something that Jonghyun can’t hear, then disappears, and Taemin relays, “He’s going out to eat breakfast and then he’s off to the library, and he said he hopes you can talk to Jinki soon again.”

“Ah! Thank you!”

“Cute,” Taemin says, but it’s mostly to himself. That is the last that is said for a while, and despite his efforts to stay awake, Jonghyun falls asleep to the quiet sounds filtered through his earbuds: the pages of Taemin’s textbooks rustling, his voice as he mumbles foreign terms to himself, his quiet and absent hums.

When he wakes again, Taemin is long gone and Kibum is back, and they’re curled up on their bed, reading a book. “Kibummie,” Jonghyun mumbles, half asleep and falling fast. “Cuddle?”

Kibum takes one look at him and then they’re on their way, curling tight around him and holding him close, so that Jonghyun falls asleep to Kibum’s soft hands draped over his own and Kibum’s body warm against his.

Jonghyun jolts awake sometime around 11pm and Kibum is still asleep, but Jonghyun’s phone is blinking and he bites back giggles as he unlocks his phone, already anticipating what Jinki will have said.

Day Four

When Jonghyun wakes up, he debates answering Jinki’s message, but decides against it. There’s...something he needs to talk to Jinki about, but he’s too nervous, and just...he’s not good at things like this.

And Kibum must see his inner turmoil, because they suddenly announce that they’re going to take him out to celebrate the end of finals, to the movies and to lunch. When Jonghyun protests and reminds Kibum that they still have two more tests, Kibum just rolls their eyes and says, “They’re online though, and honestly, I don’t really care about those. I already have an A in both of those classes anyway.”

The movie theater they go to is small, nearly empty, and it’s one of those eat-in theaters, so they share a giant peach smoothie while they watch the movie. Jonghyun’s mind is half on the movie, half on Jinki: he wants Jinki here, on his other side, wants them to hold his hand the way Kibum is now, wants to curl up in Jinki’s lap and watch the movie from there.

“Kibummie,” Jonghyun whispers, leaning into them and wiggling happily when Kibum squeezes his hand, thumb running gently over his knuckles. “Kibummie, I wish Jinki were here.”

“One day, Jonghyunnie. You and me and Tae and Jongin and Jinki.”

“I want that.”

Kibum laughs a little under their breath and nods, bringing Jonghyun’s hand up to their mouth to kiss it. “One day, Jonghyunnie.”

They get burgers after the movie and Kibum pays for it all: two bacon cheeseburgers, a giant soda and a giant thing of fries that they share. Jonghyun’s just...watching Kibum eat when he suddenly remembers how Jongin and Taemin had jokingly started calling Kibum his caregiver. Neither he nor Kibum really mind the recurring joke, mostly because of how close they are with each other. But Kibum is just someone that Jonghyun is comfortable with, and Kibum enjoys spoiling and babying him - that’s the extent of their relationship, really.

(Although, Jonghyun had jokingly called Kibum daddy once, and all Kibum had done was look over with this amused look on their face before saying, “yes, baby?”)

“Was it Jonginnie or Taeminnie that said you’re my caregiver?” Jonghyun almost drops a joking ‘daddy’ in there, but decides against it because while Kibum would never make fun of him for it, they both know how Jonghyun feels about that kink.

“I think it was Jongin, but they’re both...you know.” Kibum holds out a fry for Jonghyun to take and Jonghyun obediently leans across the table to eat it, wiggling in place at Kibum’s quiet, “good boy.”

“I like them a lot, they’re fun.”

“I’m glad you do, Jonghyunnie. I like them too.”

“Good. Kibummie?”

“Yeah?”

“Can you...want you to look at this. Cuz I feel like Jinki likes me but I don’t know and I want them to like me but-”

“Slow down, Jonghyunnie. Didn’t you say that they told you they have a crush on you?”

“But...they only said a bit of a crush. And that only because of how flustered I get. And just, if I don’t get flustered, then they wouldn’t like me, and I want them to like me. Me, not just how flustered I get.”

Kibum’s eyes are narrowed and their gaze is sharp, but they nod gently and hold their hand out for Jonghyun’s phone, so Jonghyun takes it out and opens up his chat with Jinki, scrolls all the way up to the top. Remembering what they’d talked about the day before, and the day before that makes him blush and he quickly adds, “Ignore the...how needy I got. Please?”

Kibum just snorts and nods, already reading through their messages. “This is...so gay, honestly. Disgustingly so.” But they’re smiling, and their voice is fond, so Jonghyun relaxes, just a little.

“Do you think they like me?”

“Definitely. You guys have been flirting so much, jeez. It’s a wonder they haven’t asked you out yet. And I know you’re too shy to, huh?”

Jonghyun nods and opens his mouth for another fry, and as he chews, his mouth falls into a pout without permission. Kibum sees and kind of laughs a little, then wrinkles their nose as they look at Jonghyun’s phone. “You were needy,” they say, and Jonghyun groans.

“Don’t remind me…”

“I think it’s cute.”

Jonghyun does not blush. “Just, keep reading. Thank you.”

“The amount of times they called you cute is sickening.”

“Kibummie.”

“Sorry, Jonghyunnie. I finished reading though. I really think they like you, though. Or they certainly enjoy flirting with you.”

Jonghyun hides his face with his hands and giggles, flustered but pleased. “Thanks, Kibummie.”

“Anything for you, my Jonghyunnie.”

Kibum leans across the table to thumb at Jonghyun’s cheek, and Jonghyun leans into the touch, pressing his lips to Kibum’s hand as it leaves. “Kibummie, love you a lot lot lot.”

“Love you too, Jonghyunnie. Ready to get out of here?”

Jonghyun looks down at his burger, half-finished, and nods. Kibum waits patiently for him to wrap up the remains of his meal and then they stand together, hurrying out to Kibum’s car because it’s now starting to rain.

They curl up together in Kibum’s bed with a movie playing quietly between them, and the sound of the rain pattering down around them lulls them to sleep early in the evening.

Day Five

Day Seven

So needless to say, Jonghyun is excited when Taemin finally comes back from his last final; when he tells Taemin everything that had occured, Taemin just smiles and rolls his eyes and nods. “So where are they?”

“Waiting for them to message me.”

“Excited?”

“Excited, but nervous too. Really nervous.”

“Why?”

“Haven’t seen their face, and just...nervous. What if they think I’m-”

“Jonghyunnie, calm down. It’ll be fine, okay?”

“Okay- ah! They messaged!” Jonghyun wiggles in place and picks up Roo, hiding behind her as his heart races in his chest. “Super nervous.”

“It’ll be fine, Jonghyunnie. You know it will be.”

“Okay...gonna add.”

It’s a moment, but when Jinki fades into the screen, they’re looking at their phone. But then they look up and they smile and Jonghyun’s heart flutters in his chest. “Hi Taemin, Jonghyun.”

“Hi, Jinki. Nice to finally meet you after all of Jjong’s gushing.”

“I didn’t gush!”

“You were definitely gushing, Jonghyunnie.”

“I...just like them. You. A lot.”

“Cute, Jonghyunnie.” Jinki says, and Jonghyun hides behind Roo again, trying to bite back giggles. He shakes his head and looks at Jinki through his screen, at their bright smile and their warm gaze, and he finally lets the giggles fall from his lips.

“Thank you, Jinki…”

“God, you’re so gay, Jonghyunnie.”

Jonghyun...had honestly forgotten Taemin was there for a moment, and he says as such; Taemin snorts and rolls his eyes and says, “This is what I get for being your friend, Jonghyunnie? Jinki, take note of this, this is what you’ll get if you stay with him.”

“Cute...he’s cute so it’s fine.”

Jonghyun actually makes a noise at that, and buries his face in his hands before shaking his head. “You’re mean.”

“And you’re cute, Jonghyunnie.”

“Wow...I think I’ll just go, since I’m not needed.”

“No! Taeminnie, stay!”

“Anything for you, Jonghyunnie.”

“It’s different when you say Jonghyunnie and when Jinki does.”

“How so?”

“It’s like a friend when you say it but when Jinki says it, it’s...dunno. I like it.”

“God, you’re gross. I’m leaving so you two can get more acquainted. I’ve got to sleep anyway, Jongin’s leaving early tomorrow and I’m helping him pack up his stuff.”

“Bye bye, Taeminnie…”

“Nice meeting you, Taemin.”

“You too, Jinki. Have fun with this one, talk to you both soon, bye.” Taemin hangs up, and when Jonghyun looks at Jinki again, he giggles.

“Hi hi.”

A fond snort. “You’re cute, Jonghyunnie. Cute baby.”

Jonghyun’s breath hitches and he shakes his head, gently putting Roo down and bringing his hand up to drag over his lower lip. A habit, albeit one that Taemin and Kibum have both told him not to do because your lips are distracting, Jonghyunnie.

“No?”

“I…” Jonghyun shifts and thumbs at his lip again, swallowing the lump in his throat and blinking wide-eyed at Jinki before trying again. “I don’t…”

“Don’t what? Be a good boy and tell me.”

Oh. Jonghyun shakes his head and shifts again, more pointedly this time. “Jinki, I...you’re being mean.”

“How am I being mean, Jonghyunnie?”

“Teasing.”

“I’ll stop, Jonghyunnie. What do you want to do, then?”

“Movie?”

“Anything you want, Jonghyunnie.”

Jonghyun’s heart flutters and he hides behind Roo again before nodding and waiting for Jinki to choose what to watch. Jinki’s never seen Moana, and while Jonghyun has, he doesn’t say so, because this way he gets to stare at Jinki for almost two full hours, and Jinki will be none the wiser.

When he texts Taemin to tell him that, all Taemin sends back is ‘thats gay, have fun’.

Jonghyun does.

Day Eight

The first thing Jonghyun sees when he blinks awake is Jinki - they’re still asleep and Jonghyun is quick to send Taemin, Kibum and Jongin a picture because they’re absolutely adorable, and Jonghyun is so in love.

That’s the first time, he realizes, that he’s...thought of what he feels for Jinki as love. (And it isn’t surprising, definitely won’t surprise Kibum or Taemin, because you always fall in love so easily, Jonghyunnie.) The realization makes a mix of emotions bubble up inside of him: a flutter of nerves, apprehension, yearning, but it’s all overshadowed by giddy, dizzy joy and all Jonghyun wants to do now is tell everyone that he’s in love, that he’s in love with someone that he’s only known for just over a week and only seen once, that he’s in love with Jinki.

But Kibum is asleep and Taemin isn’t answering his phone and Jongin isn’t either, so Jonghyun gets on tumblr and makes a post that only says “I’m in love, I’m in love, I’m in love”.  And there is nothing to do but wait until Jinki wakes up, so Jonghyun curls up in bed and starts plotting out little stories and themes for upcoming episodes of Blue Night; in between adding songs for the playlist for this week’s episode, Jonghyun answers the questions in his inbox. Most are asking about his crush (all Jonghyun says is that they’re lovely, they’re sweet, they’re perfect), some are thanking him for another week of Blue Night, and some still are general inquiries: how he’s doing (amazingly), what artist he likes recently (Sik-K), what movies he’s seen recently (late, but Doctor Strange).

Jinki blinks awake while Jonghyun is clearing out his watch later list on youtube, and they talk for all of five minutes before Jinki slips asleep again. It’s so so so endearing and Jonghyun texts Taemin to tell him because he is so in love.

The next time Jinki wakes, it’s well into the morning and Taemin is up, so Jonghyun adds him back into the call and listens to Jinki’s sleepy murmurs and Taemin’s lazy replies and Jongin’s long, drawn out goodbyes to Taemin, even though they’re going to be roommates again in the fall. Kibum comes over as well, nuzzles up against Jonghyun and takes the other earbud, greeting Jinki with a wry smile on their lips and genuine happiness in their eyes.

“So you’re the Jinki that’s been flustering our Jonghyunnie so much, huh?”

“I didn’t know I had that much of an effect on him.” Jinki’s biting back laughter and so are Kibum and Taemin, like they’re all in on some joke that Jonghyun is not. It’s infuriating, but Jonghyun doesn’t care that much, because all of his favorite people are here, and he’s so happy.

(He’s so happy that he overlooks all of the messages Taemin is sending him, even if Kibum doesn’t. Kibum is quick to take over Jonghyun’s laptop, and Jonghyun curls up into them and pouts at the messages they’re sending back and forth to Taemin.

“What’s wrong, Jonghyunnie?” Kibum asks - like they don’t know what’s wrong. Jonghyun pouts and shakes his head, ignores Taemin and Kibum’s laugh, Taemin’s explanation that they’d been teasing Jonghyun about his crush.

(He especially ignores the way Jinki chuckles and says, “It’s alright, he’s cute and I like him too.”)

The four of them stay together until that night, until Taemin and Jinki very reluctantly have to go. And it’s one of Jonghyun’s best days ever.

Taemin picks up his phone on the first ring and once their greetings are out of the way, Jonghyun wiggles in place and pouts down at his phone. “I’m stuck. Wanna make it good.”

“You’re such a romantic, Jonghyunnie. It’s cute. Or it would be if you could ask them.”

“I’m asking! I just wanna make it good. For them.”

“Do you know what you want to say?”

“Just...that I like talking to them, and I really liked them since the beginning and that I wanna try dating.”

“Then just say that. I know you, and it doesn’t need to be eloquent or elaborate. So long as you mean it, Jonghyunnie. Trust me.”

“I…” Jonghyun fidgets and then takes in a breath to steady himself. “Yeah, okay. Okay. Gonna ask them. Gonna ask them to date me.”

“If only your fans could see you now, Jonghyunnie. If only Jinki could.”

“Shut up!”

“I can hear you pouting, silly.”

Jonghyun glares down at his phone and shakes his head before continuing his hesitant typing. He still definitely wants to make this eloquent, but he’s so nervous that he ends up sending without even proofing it. His fingers are trembling and his heart is racing but he’s done it and-

Jinki read it.

“Tae, they read it. I didn’t think they’d read it so soon I-”

“Jonghyunnie, calm down, it’s fine. Just wait and see what they say, okay.”

“Okay- oh. I...they answered.”

“What’s it say?”

“Uh, that they’d seen this coming, the dating thing. And that they want to try. That there’s stuff we’ve definitely got to talk about but that they really like me a lot and they want to try.”

“See, what did I tell you? And all in nine days, Jonghyunnie. That’s a new record.”

Jonghyun is just glad Taemin can’t see him now, because he knows he’s got that giddy smile on his lips, and he definitely knows that he’s blushing. Because Jinki likes him, and Jinki wants to be with him, and Jinki is with him.

“I gotta tell Kibummie, okay?”

A snort. “Okay, Jonghyunnie. Have fun with your crush - boyfriend.”

“Bye bye!” Jonghyun is too happy to let Taemin’s teasing affect him, and he’s quick to hang up and bound across the room to jump on Kibum until they wake up because he’s so happy.

I just got home and I wanted to write down everything while it’s still fresh in my memory so pls prepare for a very long very screaming account of today’s amazing events ;___; (I’ll post the pics and videos I got soon!!)

so my mom and I drove together (she didn’t want me to go alone bc none of my irl friends like kpop lol rip s/o to my mom for being the coolest ever!!!), and we got to the venue at around 11:30ish. I wanted to get there earlier bc i was really paranoid about not getting an audience pass for astro ;___; we went to get our wristbands and stuff and our concert ticket barcodes ended up showing as invalid ?? ?! even tho we bought them from the official website ;~; so we had to get our tickets validated at staples center and then walk back to get our audience passes. after getting that sorted, I opened my passes and got Heize and Oh My Girl, both of which had already been completed :((( but as I was standing to the side trying to figure out if I could get passes off facebook, I overheard this group of ppl opening their audience passes and they were like “who did u get???” “uh... astro....” “me too....i don’t rly know them” and i was like HI HELLO DO U WANT THOSE BC IF NOT IM LOOKING FOR 2 PASSES FOR ASTRO NO PRESSURE THO and they were like “uhhh yeah sure” AND I GOT 2 AUDIENCE PASSES FOR FREE HOW LUCKY IS THAT !!!!! ! 😭😭 bless those ppl i hope they got hi touch or something lol they saved me like an hour of hunting for passes

after that we checked the room where fan engagements are held to see if there was a line for astro and there was already a crowd of like 60ish ppl there like 2 hours before the event and i was like fuk!!!!! but also it’s so nice to see fellow astro fans supporting our bois!! c: there were actually so many astro fans at the con i was so happy!! so we got in line and chilled and there were some rly cool fans handing out free astro banners with their own digital art, and one person was passing out these nice quality pics of the boys and asking “who’s ur bias??” and then just giving them out for free?? arohas are so nice ??? ???

then after we got into the room, i was like 3 rows from the very front of the audience barrier, but the hi touch ppl were way closer than us rip i was so jealous ;~; when the boys walked on i LOST MY FUKCING SHIT AS EXPECTED and OH YM GOD LET ME TELL U HOW BEAUTIFUL THEY ARE! !!!!!! they all had on very crisp clean button ups and slacks and they looked SO FRESH omg 

jinjin’s hair was so beautiful and smooth and he looked extra tiny today!!!!! i LOVE mj’s current hair color on him it looks so pretty and he also looked tiny af I LOVE!!!! sanha is SO FREAKING TALL like he absolutely towers over the hyungs lmaooooo but he’s also the CUTEST BAB his hair was slightly messy and very beautiful i cryyyy and rocky looked SO GOOD with his hair color!! it’s actually a lot more subtle irl than in the pics he posted recently :’) it’s like a very gentle auburn-burgundyish kinda color, and a little more brown than mj’s hair!

during hi touch i just continued to bask in the boys’ presence hahah and i noticed they were doing mostly single handed high fives instead of the usual two hand high five/hand hold that they normally do :c but they all looked so cute and happy and smiley!!!! it made my heart so happy!!!!

after hi touch we took a group selfie with the boys (which i am definitely invisible in lmaooo) and then after leaving the room i was like “ah i heard they’ll be at the toyota booth at some point today i better go find out what time” and right as im walking to the booth i see a group of well dressed guys walking on the 2nd floor above me and im like “no way they beat us here” and then i saw a tall bean with white hair and i was like SANHAAAAAAA and they had just gotten to the toyota booth right as i got there!!!! a crowd had already formed but I got a decent view, and they were doing some more q&a that i couldn’t hear lmao but I was so happy that i got to see them again!!!!

when they left I walked around the marketplace and bought a dream part 1 poster (the one where they’re all in white dress shirts lookin cute af) and a poster of sleepy autumn story bin bc im WEAK and I LOVE MY BOIS

then i just hung around the food trucks area until we got to enter the concert venue, and my seats were pretty good!!! they weren’t GA or lowest tier, but i was decently close and i had a clear view of the stage like 95% of the time blesssss

first up was KARD and they were pretty good! their songs are not rly my style but they’re very talented and they look like a hardworking group!!! :D also they are all hot hahah

after that was Oh My Girl, and they were also good! again, their songs are not usually what i like but they were SUPER CUTE and charming!!

then Heize played!! I LOVE HEIZE OMG shes so pretty and her voice is beautiful!! i also love her style and her songs are so soothing/fun to listen to!! she asked us to turn on our phone flashlights while she performed Star and she started tearing up before she started singing and i was like NOOOOO BABY she almost made me cry ;~; anyways YES I LOVE HEIZE U SHOULD LISTEN TO HER IF U HAVENT YET

i had only rly listened to Energetic and I only knew ong seongwu before seeing wanna one, but HOLY SHIT they blew me away!!!!! i was really impressed by their choreo and they’re really great performers! their songs are catchy af damn!! AND ALL THE MEMBERS ARE CUTE like daniel?? ??? hot as fuck???? he had on this earring and im like damn?? what is this guy doing to me lmaooo

i hadn’t listened to any NCT 127 besides cherry bomb and I thought it was an okayish song, but again i was SO IMPRESSED by their performance!!! they were so on point for choreo, other theatrics, visuals, etc!!!! honestly i feel like all kpop groups are like 100000x better live bc of the choreo and atmosphere!! and there was a guy with light pink hair who was HOT AS FUKC i need to find him omg (taeyong? yeah hes fine as hell hahahah) also the bass in the staples center is SO INTENSE like my entire soul vibrated during cherry bomb lmao

GOT7 were great performers too but after hearing about the jaebum stuff im like 😒😒 also they give me a very arrogant vibe and im like eeeghhhh (sry to any GOT7 stans 😷) bambam looked cute tho shhhh

okay onto ASTROOOOOO so they first came on stage with Kim Tae Woo (who i don’t know at all rip sry ;__;) and they were wearing white/baby blue suits and they looked SO CUUUUTE they were covering Kim Tae Woo’s songs i think? and they did some CUTE AF CHOREO PLS WATCH THE LIVE STREAM TO SEE IT IT’S AMAZING

and then in the next song THEY ALL RAPPED AND I DIED LIKE U NEEED TO HEAR SANHA RAPPING IT IS THE ABSOLUTE CUTEST HES JUST A SOFT BAB HE DID SO GREAT

after doing 2 cover songs they LEFT THE STAGE and i was like THE FUKC!!!! but then i was like oh wait they’re definitely coming out later too lmao

BIN WAS ON ANOTHER PLANE OF BEAUTY LIKE WHAT THE FUCK!!! HE HAD A BLACK GRAPHIC TEE AND A GORGEOUS BROWNISH BURGUNDY SATIN(?) JACKET OVER AND HE LOOKED SO FUCKING AMAZING HOOOO MAN

when i first saw these outfits i was like CONCEPT CHANGE ???? DARK ASTRO ??? ? so we’ll see what happens omg but DAMN the more mature look suits them so well and as much as i love their cute style i 10000% support this more dark look like hnnnn yes

the first song they performed was AGAIN AKA THE SONG OF MY DREAMS THE CHOREO OF MY LIFE and it was EVERYTHING to see it performed live!!!!!! and in those outfits??? i was LIVING oh my god and i got to see bin and rocky do the pirouette flippy thing and it was SO AWESOME

it was another randomized game to decide what activity to do and they got “fan gifts” so they all had 1 min to decorate a tshirt to give away, and they also gave away some other signed merch!! then sanha was like “we gave the shirts to the ppl in the front bc we can’t reach u up there, but we want to give u shirts too!!” and they brought out TSHIRT CANNONS HAHAH but they only shot as far as the lowest tier boooo :c

then they performed a shortened version of breathless and IT WAS AMAZING TO WITNESS EUNWOO CARRYING MJ IRL AAAAAAAA also it was kinda funny watching them perform a super cute poppy song in their current wardrobe lmaooo

then they did a bit of polaris and i was like EEEEYYYYYY and then they did baby!!!!!! the baby choreo is SO GOOD and it’s so amazing to see them do choreo irl bc u can really focus on them and see their talent and hard work come to life!!!!!
