So two days ago when the shit thing happened to me I coped by watching/listening to all the RWRB clips on Prime's Youtube Channel (I don't have my Prime subscription anymore)

And I don't know if it's because I recently got new noise-cancelling headphones and was listening to the videos with them for the first time, or is it because I usually watch it on bilibili because the whole movie is there but it's in lower quality, or is it because my senses were heightened since I was deliberately paying 100% attention to it

But holy shit I could hear everything

The birds, the background conversations, the boys' footsteps (I could even hear if they were walking on grass or cement), hands gliding across fabric, fingers tapping against the table, ripples and waves of water, every breathe and sigh, every change in tone

Sorry this took me a few days to respond to my entire weekend was consumed by a weaving class I just started which is possibly the coolest experience I've ever had but for most magical I'm gonna say my first ren faire a few years ago

A close friend at the time invited me to go with her so we put together outfits and went and I had no frame of reference for what to expect and it was so so delightful? It rekindled a lot of the joy and whimsy of playing dress up and make believe that I'd lost. So many fun shiny things to look at and touch. Unparalleled people watching. No one's cool it's literally all nerds

Basically I strongly believe in the restorative power of a silly little impractical fantasy-inspired outfit
