i think an undertale au where you throw luz down the underground instead of frisk would be great. like that girl is GREAT for just throwing in situations, i've seen her as the avatar, as a kamen rider, as the omnitrix wielder, but i can't say i've seen her try to anime befriend papyrus and undyne and try not to accidentally squish a whismur

So a very, VERY long time ago, before chapter 2 released I think, I posted some Dark World designs for Toriel and Asgore, but since then both my understandings of their characters, character designing overall and personal tastes have evolved, so I made new designs for them! (including revamping the official light world walksprites because god knows deltarunes spritework is flawed) I'm slowly working on doing all their battle animations too, but until then, just the idles will do I hope.

okay i already yelled about this on twt but i am still seeing people who think that toriel left instantly when asgore declared war, and use this assumption to criticize her for not caring about him or trying to find a better solution.

that's dumb and false and here's why :]

1. first and most obvious: alphys's entries in the true lab tell us that the first flower from the outside world "...appeared just before the queen left."

it takes an average flower 1-3 months to bloom from seed. and she left after it appeared. checkmate woman haters

2. asgore says she became disgusted with his actions, heavily implying that this resentment built up over some amount of time.

3. plus, he states this after he said "Soon, the people's hopes returned." combined with toriel's notable disdain for monster kind in general ("To think I was worried you wouldn't fit in out there... Eheheheh!!! You really are no different than them!"), this makes for a very solid argument that she stayed long enough to bear witness not only to her husband's actions, but the uncomfortably happy reactions of her people.

4. they were married for millennia. and you think that she would just. up and roll out the same instant when her husband had an emotional outburst. her husband of millennia.

5. MILLENNIA

6. she probably did try to talk him down, reason with him... at first. but when it didn't work and he kept taking actual actions towards doing the thing he said he would do (killing children (in case you forgot)), like establishing the royal guard and sentries and everything, she probably decided she that if she wanted to save those kids, she'd have to take some actual actions of her own. especially since pretty much all her subjects were also going to be a threat to any fallen humans, by order of their king. to the ruins we go i guess

7. none of this should really even need to be said tho like why assume the worst with incomplete information. toby is good at writing characters and you think she wouldn't. idk. act like a person in that situation? rather than a plot device?

8. anyways i promise i don't hate asgore or think toriel is without flaw

9. but if you hate toriel and i find out, i am going to slash your pie and eat your tires ^_^
