i mean. kind of expected, but it also goes both ways. she thrives off "taming" you when you're being bratty just as much as she thrives off you doing the same thing to her. and she is a brat when she subs, absolutely. she will keep egging you on and being an absolute brat to the point she'll often forget you're still, yknow, mortal and don't exactly have the stamina to keep up with her being so damn insatiable (that's fine for her, though. she doesn't technically need you to lift a finger to keep it going, if your comfortable with it. just don't expect to be getting up for the next few days.)

also a given and, again, goes both ways. she loves when you're rough with her, not afraid to break her (the bed, on the other hand, is a different matter), marking is just the cherry on top that has her toes curling and her tail wrapping around you like a vice. especially if you leave marks in places her uniform won't hide later– but she's also gonna do the same to you, and her teeth are a hell of a lot bigger, so I hope you've got a good pain tolerance because she's gonna make you into a chew toy half way through the night. scratching, biting..she might even get a little too excited and zap you once or twice. on accident, unless your into it.

miko leans more towards giving then receiving with this one, but I can see her enjoying it immensely. both because she's a tease and likes to rile you up and because she loves to doll you up and make you nice and pretty..which just happens to include pouring hot wax on your skin. if you let her, she'll even blindfold you so you can never expect when she'll pour the wax, and oh boy does she thrive off the surprised noises you make. she loves experimenting with all different kinds of colors of wax, too, just to see which looks best on your skin. absolute menace about it, too. her hands are on the colder side, so when she peels off the wax once it's cooled down she'll randomly place her hands over your warm skin just to watch you jump.

i've seen a few posts these past few days about how, regarding the finale, c!tommy's last words weren't an apology to c!dream—more of a "oh shit i've just realised my plan will blow us all up and i want to apologise for that fuck fuck FUCK"

and yknow what? they're right!! they are so very right!! when i was initially ranting-post finale, i honestly forgot that there were people either not watching the stream live/not watching at all, and in hindsight i can see how word got out that "oh ctommy apologised to his abuser". because, let's make one thing clear—he did not. ctommy comes to understand cdream, but also clearly and unequivocally says "you're still evil." the one saving grace that ending had was that at the end of it, ctommy does not apologise for being abused.

however. that was never even my problem in the first place.

the issue with the finale wasn't the apology (at the very least, its not the worst issue.) the issue with the finale was the framing. because, let's face it, ctommy realising he has doomed everyone and his last words being an apology for that? makes sense!! that is literally how ctommy acts!! i get that! i'm OKAY with that! hell, ctommy finding it in his heart to understand cdream and feel pity for him ALSO makes sense. it's ctommy. he's that server's goddamn sunshine! he is the hope when there is no hope left and the resolve at the height of war and a heart stubbornly pumping against a bloody sleeve like. thats our ctommy!! that is HIM!!

you wanna know what doesn't make sense, though? framing those actions as if they are good in this scenario. framing them as if they are helping ctommy.

the issue isn't that tommy tries to understand dream. the issue is that it fucking works. the issue is that dream softens, and acts all sad and uwu-baby-boy, and becomes so fucking soft in the span of two seconds that the entire twitch chat felt sorry for him. i SAW that happen! i saw viewers siding with dream, feeling sorry for him, saying he WAS absolved after all!! the issue is that every time ctommy has tried to fight for himself in the past it's failed him—but the scenario where he sympathises with his abuser?? that's the one you want to tell me helps? after everything, every excellent writing decision, after MONTHS of making dream a sadistic piece of shit and tommy a traumatised kid healing more and more by the day, THAT'S what you want to tell me works? talking things out normally? in the last stream dream had cclingy strung up in a fucking saw trap! HOW is this what works??

add in everything else on top of that—ctommys weak arguments against dream and punz, the character assassination of cdream as a villain, the way dream just immediately softens, the fact that, apology to dream or not, tommys last ever words are sorry directed toward his abuser—yeah. yeah, the issue is far deeper than the wrong word. the issue was in the framing of that scene as a whole.

Artic Spectrum, High Artic, Low Artic and No Artic

What is the artic spectrum? Artic is short for "articulation", the loss of articulation in this sense, is similar to the loss of speech, and varies between many different people for many different reasons. I have coined this term as a replacement for "nonverbal", as those communities do not wish speaking people to use that term. This term is for any person who experiences some type of speech loss, struggle or any other form of loss of communication. This term is not meant to speak over any nonverbal person, and is instead to give a word to those who fall outside of non-speaking, yet cannot speak all the time, for whatever reason.

What does the artic spectrum encompass? Anyone who has varying levels of articulation, and for some, that may change depending on the day, month, whatever. These terms are especially made for systems who have alters who cannot speak, vocalize or articulate, while other members of the system can. But anyone can use them, and you can use these terms depending on how you feel, according to the day.

Why call it "artic"? I was searching for terms that are simple, yet easy to understand and vocalize. I felt the definition of articulation, the formation of clear and distinct sounds in speech, to be appropriate towards coining a new term. Artic does not mean the same exact thing, but it means to be an umbrella term for those who can speak sometimes, but not all the time, for whatever reason. So a fluid spectrum to making noise to not being able to make any, I find this term appropriate.

High Artic Flag

Warm colors are meant to represent the ability to vocalize as much as one wants. Such things, as hot soup or tea, are meant as a cure for things like a sore throat. Its only appropriate that the flag colors are warm.

This term is meant for a day or period of time where you feel vocal and ready to speak, perhaps even hyperverbal. Some people may feel this more than others. Some alters, may be more on the high artic, than low.

Low Artic Flag

Cold colors are reminiscent of the arctic, which reminds me of this word. And when you're cold, you may stutter or struggle to speak, so that's how this feels like. You just can't seem to warm up your vocal cords, no matter how hard you try.

This term is meant for those who often struggle to speak, only able to get a few words or sounds out, whether its the full person or an alter. You may even feel like its hard to speak your native language. But as these terms are fluid, it can be depending on day to day, but it doesn't have to be.

No Artic Flag

There isn't a super specific reason why it's purple, but the colors in the flag are almost black and white, along with an icy cold blue. The icy blue is supposed to be a call back to the low artic flag, if you don't have any artic, you are in the low category anyway. I felt the deep dark purple, was almost black. If you can't speak, for whatever reason, it may feel suffocating like the color black. Or empty, void of noise, like the color white.

This is meant for people who lose speech entirely for a period of time, or has an alter who cannot speak at all. This can happen during stressful moments, this can be because of a specific disorder, this can happen due to anxiety, really any sort of way. Loss of speech is scary, but you can use this term to help communicate that.

You can also refer to yourself as "non artic", if you'd like.

Artic Spectrum Flag

Green is a neutral color between warm and cool. So it's appropriate that the spectrum would be neutral to both.

This term of artic spectrum is meant for someone like me, who grew up in intensive speech therapy, and has alters with varying levels of verbality, so developing different parts of me, meant that some of us can speak better than others. Some of us can barely speak at all. So, if you've had a similar experience, or just need terms like this to describe your experience, go for it. It's good to have a way to communicate something that you feel like you haven't been able to. Especially if your speech loss is fluid, or from alter to alter, like mine. It's meant for anyone who has varying levels of speech, especially if you don't know why. These terms are for you.

Please be kind, and this is for people who feel like other terms are a mouthful, but don't know an easy way to describe their experience. Speech is complex, especially if you grew up not knowing the right way to. Or if you have a speech impediment, like me. And if you can't pronounce this right, no worries, you can just make an emoji or type it down, or something. Or you can just say it differently and that's completely fine. I hope this works for those who need it.

being a huge fan of the book/movie obviously, the fight club game is probably my least favorite video game of all time

they had an opportunity to make such a good game, or at least a decent one. like an action RPG following the story of the movie. judging by the pre-release material and behind the scenes stuff, that was how the game was originally planned to be, and they were gonna follow the story and use the characters’ likenesses.

what did they do instead? they completely ruined the story, and made the characters nearly unrecognizable both aesthetically and in characterization. there were also a lot of plot holes to the story because they tried to follow the movie AND make the game its own thing at the same time.

aaaaand they made the game into a clunky tekken ripoff…which making a fighting game out of fight club is completely missing the point. it would be fine if the fighting game was like a minigame or multiplayer mode, or something part of a larger game, but that’s not the case.

the voice talent is spectacular. they got some top tier voice actors like dave wittenberg and nika futterman. too bad they had to work with such a terrible script adaptation.

and sierra/eurocom/vivendi universal are behind the game, who made a huge number of my favorite childhood games. and apparently many of the people who worked on the game were ex-insomniac games members (im a massive fan of spyro and ratchet & clank)

i’m also a huge fan of the ps2/gamecube/xbox era of games. i grew up with that era, and the ps2 is probably my favorite console of all time.

just very disappointing

oh btw: tommy tallarico (my mother is very proud) apparently was behind the sound/OST in the game. i found out when i noticed it on the hbomberguy video. unless that’s one of the many things he’s lied about. idk why even he would lie about working on this game tho.
