paranormal au question!!! approx how old are they? how did they get into paranormal stuff? is it like Ghostbusters where they have actual degrees in parapsychology and stuff, or just a coupla guys bein dudes and chasing ghosts?

HI RYAN ILY at the moment i have them in my outline as 39 (aziraphale) and 35 (crowley) but im leaning toward aging them up a smidgen more, those were just the first numbers that came to mind when i started outlining lol

and it's a solid mix of the two! aziraphale is Very Thoroughly Educated, with two bachelor's degrees (religious studies & history), a masters (anthropology, social focus) and a phd (parapsychology) so he's been collecting and restorting cultural artifacts for some time and has a personal interest in things that people claim may be cursed or occult (especially bc he hasn't come across one that actually is... yet)

but crowley is as crowley does and hated school, did terrible with it all, but loves learning and collecting knowledge and has made himself quite the self-taught expert in monotheistic religions and especially demonology, who has also played around in the paranormal field in other ways - for example, he was on a ghost-hunting show and quit bc his teammates wouldn't stop suggesting to just fabricate encounters for views - and is a Very Crafty Guy 😎
