honestly WHAT game the splatoon devs the idea for the flyfish. whaf kind of game design decision is it to have an that can one-shot you from anywhere on the map, and will attempt this four times in quick succession every ten seconds, on two people, and even if the missiles miss they have a splash radius that deals damage to you and, need i remind you, this happens four times in quick succession, so you can dodge all four of them and still die, and also you can only kill it with bombs, and also you need two of them, and also you need to land them in little baskets on their sides, and also this can only be done WHILE THE FLYFISH IS FIRING, AND THERE CAN BE THREE OF THEM AT A TIME, AND DID I MENTION THEY CAN INSTAKILL YOU FROM ANYWHERE ON THE MAP

there used to be a fairly popular ot3 trope in the s2 hiatus (I think, or maybe it was literally just one fic I really liked so I'm misremembering, lol) where Jamie would get sick/injured and end up in hospital but he still had Keeley down as her emergency contact, so her (with an angry Roy in tow) would show up at the hospital and become his (on Roy's part, reluctant) caregivers until they all fell in love. I think the idea sort of went by the wayside because it relied on roy/keeley already being together and Jamie eventually joining their relationship, which is no longer the standard route to ot3. But! I think we should consider bringing it back.

I feel like I wrote another timeline for Merlin while writing Rewind?? And not just the obvious, Arthur-goes-back-and-changes-shit timeline either. Like. I'm going over some scenes I had written awhile back for another chapter in the Arthur-goes-back timeline but it's written like it's part of the canon timeline??? I mention "Mordred's second departure" and I can't tell if I mean it's after his second appearance in the show or the season. But it's so early on in the story that there's literally no way this came after the second appearance in that season. BUT ALSO IN THE NEXT SCENE I HAD WRITTEN (which was the near-last scene, the other scene I talk about being the near-first scene, the only two scenes I had written for this chapter apparently) I MENTION A RAID!??! So you'd think it was his second appearance in the show, right? right!? WRONG BECAUSE I HAD SCRAPPED THAT RAID SO FAR IN THE PAST THAT THERE IS NO REASON FOR THIS TO BE A WORKING SCENE. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED AND WHAT KINDA MERLIN TIMELINE DID I WRITE!?

crying laughing @ this edition of le fantôme de l'opéra that my dad got me for christmas it's just. i don't know how to describe it. every page is a scan of a page of the 1926 edition, with like 1-2 inches of margin around it??? and the letters are so small and the scan is not of very great quality so it's kind of hard to see the words?? interspersed with scans of pictures but some of them are upside down??? there's one page where the scan didn't really work in the upper left corner so it's just totally black???

the back of the book says

so like this is on purpose but i have so many questions. first of all why the margins. okay i guess that is my most important question. why not just make the book correspond to the size of the pages in the original? or, if the size of the book is fixed, you could at least size up the images to use as much of that wasted space as possible, no?

i want to say how ridiculous this is and how there's no market for it but there clearly is one because i asked my dad to get it for me! i'm the market!! i told him to buy this edition because it was the only french-language print edition i could find to buy in the us for less than $50 (outside of amazon because fuck amazon). but like, why is that the case? the full text of this book, in plain text which could easily and legibly be printed, is available for free on the internet. why isn't there some publisher who's just printing that out and binding it? seems easier to do than printing scans. not to mention a lot easier to read!!

Yesterday was the welcome thing for the beginning of the school year, only from 15h to 16h30. Still managed to end up late. Nothing to do either, just sit there and listen to the explanation of how the year is gonna go. Still came back home EXHAUSTED

First day of school and I'm already an hour late

They also said that if we come late, the teachers aren't gonna let us in

So now I'm just frozen, sitting on my chair after finally managing to prepare, with no idea on if i waste the little energy i have going to school in the heat only to not be let in

But they also said they'd do that last year, and they never did. So maybe they're not doing it again and I'm just wasting time when they would let me in

I don't know and that's the problem

And even if i can, the mental image of everyone in class turning to stare at me and judge while i enter in the middle of the class, because i spent more than half of last year being hours late if not straight up missing "for no reason" is too much (because this country has dog shit psychology knowledge that has been studied to be around 50 years late, and they know nothing about invisible disabilities. Not like I'd ever even tell them. This class sucks in all minorities fronts)

But also I'm literally already thousands of euros in debt for this damn school and every class i miss is money wasted

I thought I had a possible job lead this morning :/ Nope. Just fucking incompetent people who make their online job listing different than the actual job requirements. Just venting under the cut : ) Job market is ass.

I've been looking into warehouse work (because that's where I feel most comfortable.) and the posting online said they were looking for someone to take inventory. Hi, Hello, I did that a lot at my old job so I'm well versed in counting very large quantities of things.

Also my old job we didn't have computers to do it so we would literally shut down production for 2 days to hand count E V E R Y T H I N G. Thankfully not individually but by boxes because everything always had the quantity on it unless we opened the box to pick from it THEN we would have to individually count the contents inside.

Online posting said had to be good using a tablets and what have you which again hello, hi I did with my side job being a merchandise associate, my nose was buried in a tablet more often than not.

Said they needed a year of experience. I was just shy of a year but gave it a shot anyways, sent them my resume and cover letter AND called them.

Guy on the phone says he has no idea what I'm talking about because the job posting is for a reach truck driver and I'm like uhmmmm nooo??? I'm literally looking at the posting that was posted literally yesterday and it says they're looking for people to do inventory work???

This guy fucking tried to fight with me on the phone and I was like "I'm going to email you AGAIN except this time with a screenshot of your own posting to prove it" He hung up on me and when I tried to send the email it didn't go through.
