Despite all the terrible designs among the new Pokemon (and there are many), I simply cannot be entirely mad when I consider this gen also gave us Kilowattrel:

#Pokemon#ScarVi spoilers#I'm obsessed with this bird I was so hype the moment I saw its prevo and I instantly got the pun without even seeing the name#then it evolved into a goddamn FRIGATEBIRD with a giant electrified throat pouch and I went a little nuts#also it's a HUMONGOUS bird (and rightfully so because irl frigatebirds ARE indeed huge) so mine towers over the rest of my party right now#I'm playing a birds-only run and I just defeated the Electric gym. it was NEARLY a sweep with my Kilowattrel and I was so proud of him#.... this isn't the ONLY good new design btw. there are several that are pretty cool.#but I'd definitely say that there's a higher percentage of bad/questionable designs than in any past gen
