if I weren't so close to perfecting Miitopia, I'd probably give up lol
but I'm SO close... I literally just have to defeat one more monster, and then grind exp and money so I can level up every job on my main mii to level 50 and buy every possible outfit for them.
I'm so close, I can't give up yet, but trying to get the one quest with the correct monster to show up is agonizing. and the grinding I have to do isn't gonna be fun either.

SUCCESS STORY (manifesting)
Tumblr media
OMFG you guys! I did it! I made it to my desired reality! I'm living my desired life!
All I did was decide it's done. More specifically, I just did Angel's fulfillment challenge (which you don't have to do). Everyday I just decided to live like I was in my desired reality right now as often as I could and whenever I wanted to.
If I vented, I vented. If I ranted I ranted. If I sabotaged my manifestation I just decided it wouldn't matter and that nothing would ruin my manifestation and everything was ok and fine.
And this is totally optional but I affirmed sometimes. I just did to remind myself that it was done.
My affirmations were:
-I'm living my desired life
-Nothing can ruin my manifestation
-I'm in my desired reality
-I'm in my desired reality in my penthouse in Tokyo
-I have all my desires
-The 3D conforms instantly
And it worked! And now I'm happy! I woke up today IN my penthouse in Tokyo! The view of the city is amazing. I checked my bank account and it turns out I'm super rich! Like I literally have BILLIONS of dollars. And it's like I always get millions of dollars out of nowhere! So it's like I get paid just to exist!
Also life in this reality is soooooooo different than on Earth. Like the people in the city are nice... but they aren't just humans beings. I'm seeing Japanese monsters walking around wearing uggs! I can also see Godzilla walking around in a place in the city it's so cool! (don't worry, they made a place in the city specifically for her)
I can also enter the void anytime I fall asleep. Like everytime I go to sleep I wake up IN the void state completely aware. I know this because I just decided I would go to sleep and I did! (one of the things I also manifested, to fall asleep instantly)
And guess what? I also revised my ENTIRE life. Like all the shitty, terrible things that happened to me and all the awful things I've done are GONE! They never happened. All the arguments I had with people on Youtube are gone, they never happened. I never met those people. All the people who I argued with on Discord, well I never argued with them. All the problems with my family are gone.
I also have new memories of me being in Highschool. It went great! I made some friends, they never got angry at me, I got to play my videogames, and I never had to deal with any kind of stress. And I also have my college degree even though I never went to college.
Also let me show you what I look like:
This body:
Tumblr media
This is my hairstyle (except it's white colored):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is my face (trigger warning: AI art, also dw I'm black):
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And I'm like popular on Twitter. I'm as popular as @rariatoo. People follow my art and they love drawing my OCs and characters, it's so much fun. Plus I have a patreon and a redbubble. I get to make my OCs as plushies and stickers and ship them off.
And the best part is that there's no wars! No covid, no genocide in the Congo or Palestine, no racism, no problems. And there never will be, everything is fine! Its literally a Utopia.
Summary of what I manifested:
-Desired life & reality
-Freezing Time
-Revising entire life
-Different family (same soul but different looks (slightly) and better personality)
-Entering the void whenever I fall asleep and at will
-A butler friend who I can summon and make disappear at will (he's super nice and never have any problems, perfect personality, kinda shy, and we just had some woopie 🥵🤪)
-Magic (I can do LOTS of crazy stuff)
-Being able to shift realities at will
-Visiting my family through a magic door (my family lives in what I call, "Reality # 3 and I can visit them anytime I want)
-Spawning groceries and food whenever I want (I still go out, dw)
-Friends on discord and some IRL
-Money money monayyyyyyyyyyy
-Perfect health and mental health, no problems with my body
-Never getting yelled at ever again or abused/nobody gets abused/abuse doesn't exist. Yellers don't exist.
& a lot of other personal things
You guys got this! You can get your dream life! Go for it! *I didn't get my dream life yet, that's why the title reads:
"SUCCESS STORY (𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴)" When you put "manifesting in the title it means you haven't gotten your desires yet but you're doing it to help you live in the end. SO please don't be angry or offended.*

Hello! Can you do a request, Platonic or Friendship of Transformers (Prime, RID 2015, Animated, and others) Autobot kids, of your choice, w/ Reader as a Bot (or Animatronic) who's based on Daycare attendant (Sun/Moon/Eclipse) from Fnaf?
(if its okay add a reactions of the Autobots on Platonic relationship or Friendship between Autobots' kids and Daycare attendant! Reader?)
(Thank you and Hope you doing well!)
A/n: I'm having a wonderful day anon and i hope you do as well! Decided to add everyone's reaction so it's a big post! (I literally love sun and moon, the silly jester's)
Warnings: Fluff, Platonic Care, Friendship/ Guardian Care, Angst
Tfp:
Jack
He was more amazed by your design, how gracefully you moved compared to the other bots
You often would invite him to join you into some activities but he'd brush it off saying that he was too old for that kinda stuff (but you did make it look fun)
Then there was your moon form, the switch from you bubbly and exciting personality to a more docile yet protective one was quite baffling to him (also talk about a makeover)
Poor him if you hear about a messed up sleep schedule from being a teenager. Even his mom hasn't been able to get him to bed (he was obviously grumpy about it, but deep down was moved by your care for him.)
When he meets eclipse when he's in danger he feels so shocked but safe. What happened to you?
Has seen and understood the protection protocols you have and just how much you care about their safety.
Miko
Definitely still rebellious. If you think she called people her parents as an insult you definitely fit the parental role in her life.
She was at first very outspoken about not wanting you watching over them. (Babysitting her)
And when she tried to show you heavy metal by playing it, you happily supported her by playing a tiny xylophone. (You were trying your best but being excessively loud wasn't your deal)
You'd try to give her the space she needed but you obviously cared about her.
She did think your moon form was awesome. (Especially when she heard about you protection protocols)
You were unsuccessful to get her to sleep at reasonable hours but she ended up growing fond of you. You actually cared and supported her while her parents wanted her to be perfect. And you liked her the way she was.
Would more often than not join the activities you had planned out for them, learning that you were actually loads of fun behind your safety protocols (and human care files)
When she meets eclipse she thinks you're so cool! Yeah kick the cons ass! Definitely tells you that you're like a weapon which makes you feel bad, you worked so hard making sure that would never happen again. She clarifies that she just thinks that you being able to fight makes you awesome in her eyes.
Raf
Beyond delighted to meet you! Most bots are busy and don't often have time to chat but you're more than happy to talk to your hearts content with him
He allows your personality to shine, letting you both make fun activities and just hanging out with you
Definitely sees you as a Guardian because his family often overlooks him/ pressures him. But you can give him your undivided attention and compassion. He is still a growing boy
Is practically beaming when he sees your Moon form! "How did you do that!?"
Sometimes he overworks himself on what he's doing and you can always persuade him to rest
You can tell him stories and even play from your built in music box. You definitely help him feel safe and rest easy.
Definitely shows you morning cartoons and you sit happily with him and watch him. He also teaches you about videogames.
When he meets eclipse he's honestly worried about you but also sees that you're not some defenseless bot and you're willing to risk spark and limb to keep them all safe
Optimus
He knew a bit about your past and he trusts you with the kids. He has no problem believing that you excel at entertaining and protecting them
He knows about your protective protocols and about eclipse and how that came to be
You were a caregiver on cybertron, watching over new bots and keeping them happy and healthy. You took absolute happiness in caring and playing with them, until the war. He knows how you tragically lost all of those under your care, seeing them all perish without being able to stop anything
He knows how that affected you eventually causing a split in your personality. Eclipse was more or less who you were, sun and moon were what you were left with after all the heartbreak.
He's seen how despite not wanting to be on the battlefield, you can definitely kick ass. Seeing you attack ferociously almost in a rampage when he first met you on cybertron
He treats you with much respect and feels easy around you. With how serious the war has been having you around is like a breath of fresh air
Ratchet
Man is a doctor, not a babysitter and he appreciates you
Hes always on edge and his patience is thin so he could never properly take care of the kids, even if he's grown on them (with some favoritism to raf)
At first he didn't really think you had it in you to be an Autobot or watching over the kids but you've shown him just how much you're capable of your work
You can work with the kids, having so much patience and just care for them. He realizes your strength and grows to truly appreciate the care you put into them
He definitely notices when you sometimes grow anxious around the kids but you prioritize them.
He doesn't know why until he asks optimus. His view on you definitely changes, he wonders if you see pieces of the young bots under your care in the kids
Arcee
Definitely didn't believe in your capabilities in fighting until there came a moment when the kids were in danger. You turned into eclipse, swiftly taking care of the problem before frantically checking over the kids
She was FLABBERGASTED. WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CAN KICK ASS, YOU'RE A BABYSITTER??
She finds it funny when Jack comes and complains about your caring nature to her. She cares about him and also nags him, so she bonds with you over that care
Asks more about eclipse while all you can do is politely decline answering her questions. Its a sore spot for you and eclipse is strange to you
She also asks about your past and relates to you. She also had to deal with grief over the war, and she sympathizes with you. She stops pushing for answers and understands what you do and who you are better
Definitely happy to have you stay in base watching over the kids if an emergency happens. She trusts you and is grateful for you.
She finds your music box relaxing.
Bumblebee
He loves your personality, he's always happy to see you. But he's even happier to participate in your activities.
He also has fun watching over the kids but you do a stellar job!
He thinks it's cute how you take care of the kids, you just radiate lively energy
Then he sees your moon form and he's pleasantly surprised by the shift. Especially if the kids are staying over for the night. The way you carry yourself with serenity and care is so different but wonderful.
You often ask for them to keep quiet if the kids are sleeping.
He's heard about eclipse but hasn't met them yet.
Bulkhead
He's just happy that someone more careful with their feet are taking care of the kids
Hes a big guy with great strength. He tries to be gentle but he can fail, so having you watch over the kids is like taking a sigh if relief.
He may find your switching from sun to moon a bit uncanny but he just doesn't know how to interact with you. (He's nervous and doesn't truly understand how it works)
Sees you try to take care of miko and sometimes apologies for her, even when you told him that this reaction is natural in growing kids
He often overlooks your activities because he doesn't want to accidentally break anything you've set up.
Learns about your past and can't help but feel bad for you. The war has harmed alot of people but how could it rip such a vibrant bot like you.
Happy to have someone that knows what they're doing taking care of the kids.
Tfa:
Sari
She enjoys your company when she's more younger. She's always wanted to hangout with the bots more but sometimes she has to sit out certain missions. Luckily you're there to watch over her.
She definitely is happy that you actually know how to take care of humans and understand them. (You downloaded your information)
She was happy to count on you when her father was missing. You definitely made it easier for her and she appreciates you.
When she turns into a teenager that's where some changes happen. She thinks you might watch over her as babysitting and she can take care of herself!
She also puts a bit of a front with your moon form. She's not a little kid and she can stay up longer. (In her opinion, she tends to knockout early thanks to you)
She adores how your personality changes like the sun and the moon.
They day she saw you turn into eclipse she was shocked. "YOU KEPT A SECRET THIS BIG FROM ME???"
She'd love to see eclipse more often but usually gets told to not push it.
Optimus
Doesn't fully understand humans or taking care of younger ones. He does end up learning by asking Sari and you. He picks up some stuff pretty quickly
He doesn't understand why you were added onto their team from the beginning. They were maintenance bots and you were??? Well, not that.
Your long limbs did prove to be helpful on more than one occasion and you were quite flexible.
He met eclipse when you had saved Sari from getting taken by the Cons. You singlehandedly scared them off and he was frozen in place. You were so quick and fierce getting her back and away from them, yet so gentle at handling her and looking her over for any injuries. He couldn't quite process it for a minute.
He asked you about eclipse and you nervously told him that it was something of mindset that combined both your personalities and it only ever appeared on cybertron. He respected your boundaries and made sure to remember them.
He feels relaxed around your moon form, but your footsteps are so light he forgets that you can still be walking around. (Has to listen closely to pick up on your bells)
Ratchet
At first he was deeply annoyed by you. Especially when you were Sun. He thought he had gotten another energetic and unruly young bot that he'd have to watch over like bumblebee.
Then when you all arrived on earth he saw just how patient you are. You would answer Saris questions, keep her entertained and safe.
He was also caught off guard by your moon form. He's grown more used to your Sun form and gets a bit spooked out at first. He ends up liking how you remind them to rest and just how calm you are. What freaks him out more is when you play your music box.
When he saw eclipse he was more cautious and even a bit frightened at what had just happened. He knew that your personalities weren't a common occurrence, not even on Cybertron, especially when it appeared in a time of high stress.
He became more fascinated in wether eclipse was some way you coped with emergencies or as a fight or flight response. He definitely thought it was a fight response on how you maneuvered yourself against the cons to get Sari back.
He was worried about leaving Sari in your care after that, scared that you could potentially hurt her.
He did some digging through the ship and learned about your past. You were tasked to look after young bots, not necessarily a teacher. He learned that you've been around from before the war and how you were sent to evacuate the young ones to an area away from the fighting only for the Cons to lay siege on the area, thinking it was an Autobot hideout.
He saw that you were basically rehabilitated after being eclipse for so long, but you couldn't go back to your original job because of it.
He saw that you truly cared about Sari and you would protect her and he trusted you again. He just hoped that reverting to eclipse didn't cause any psychological episodes on you. It's hard to read you when you always act like everything is okay.
Prowl
He didn't think much of you like Ratchet. Already having a taste of another energetic personality (bumblebee) he wasn't exactly excited to work with you.
When you had arrived on earth, much like him, you were curious and open about this planet to the point of downloading just about any information you could find.
Then he saw you watching over Sari and learned that you were also observant and clever. You were sometimes able to get Sari to do things that she would refuse to do (like sleeping early)
He sometimes talks to you about his observations, seeing how you light up and are interested in mundane things like nature with him.
Then he sees your moon from and he greatly enjoys your company. You're much more relaxed and quiet, you seem more docile. Some night he enjoys quietly talking to you.
And then theres eclipse. He didn't even know you could fight. Despite his initial shock his gut feeling tells him to trust you. Especially when you held Sari and were practically all over her asking if she was scared and if she was hurt.
He did want to talk more about eclipse, he knew you would get a bit uncomfortable, but he reasoned that getting better control of eclipse could prove more helpful for you. Eventually he'd get eclipse to come out again, making sure to help you grow accustomed to them.
He learned that Eclipse was more silent and more alert, almost on guard. He'd end up talking to you getting told small bits of your past but he was okay with it. He's more happy that you don't pose a threat to yourself and others
Bumblebee
He got along with you! You were so much fun and so active! You weren't reckless like he was but he still enjoyed time with you.
And going to earth didn't change much, except he thinks you became a bit of a buzz kill. It was mostly because he always let Sari tag along and you didn't want her to get hurt.
He knows it comes from a good place at heart but he feels like you nag him a bit.
He wasn't too fond of your moon form. You were quite and usually wanted to talk in a hushed tone (because you had already put Sari to sleep)
He gets to learn more about humans when you and Sari are talking or making a fun activity together. He often joins in on the fun (usually to escape s boring task)
When he met your eclipse form he was bewildered and awkward honestly. "So we're not going to talk about your crazy orange side?"
More blunt about the subject, he wanted answers! But luckily ratchet just told him that when you were ready you'd explain it.
Bulkhead
He definitely gets along really well with you. You tend to keep things safe and fun, and he appreciates it
He has grown used to seeing you watch over Sari but he also gets his time to spend with her
You have both actually bonded over art! He makes paintings while you tend to draw adorable stick figures, that you sometimes deck out with glitter glue. Everytime you show him your work he's always positive about it.
As well as bumblebee he's liked you before landing on earth.
At first your moon form caught him off guard, especially when you'd walk around ay night, but he's used to it now.
When he saw Eclipse he was taken aback and frightened. It looked like you but it wasn't quite you. You were defensive and just worried about Sari.
He kept a close eye on the two of you for a while, trying to ease his own nerves.
He confronts you about it, bringing it up gently and you tell him that it's complicated but you didn't intend on scaring anyone. He doesn't judge you and is just happy to have you back.
RID 2015:
Russle
He was at first trying to be distant from you. To be fair he saw you like a babysitter and he was trying to act more mature.
He at first would be dismissive at first at your attempts to befriend him but he'd eventually give in with some pressure from his dad.
Eventually he'd find the activities you set up to be actually fun, heck, even his dad would take part in them with him and they'd have a great bonding experience
He'd find your sun colors to be bright but not too oversaturated. You reminded him of a carnival.
When he met your moon form one of the Decepticons managed to break free from his pod at night. Russell was taking a walk with his father and they were about to be trampled until you practically flung the Decepticon away.
And that's when he looked up and saw you. You were so different like this, you changed color and personality, at first he called out to you nervously not sure if you were alright. Luckily after dealing with the Decepticon you leaned down and comforted the two (his dad practically froze on instinct)
Then after getting used to your moon form, being more quiet and peaceful he met your eclipse from. This was probably his favorite form of yours because you were still fun but you were more relaxed
He enjoyed introducing you to new things on earth and answering your questions, you were just so wholesome and excited about it.
Overall he enjoys the time he spends with you, well except when they leave him out of missions and leave him in your care (he's just salty he doesn't get included)
Bumblebee
Was concerned when you had also traveled the space bridge with them. Him and strongarm were at least police, sideswipe got dragged along, but you weren't exactly what he'd call cut out for the job.
He struggled to understand where you fit in, sure you had juvenile tendencies but you weren't a handful to deal with like sideswipe. You also tended to follow along but not all to the book like strongarm. You were like your own middle space. When you first arrived on earth you were definitely spending more time looking around and learning about the planet.
He grew fond of your personality, you were optimistic and energetic, which is why it surprised him to see your moon form. Sure you saved Russell from getting stomped but you also took down a whole con. Alone.
He was curious about your moon form, noticing how quieter you were, especially your footsteps, it was harder to hear where you were if it weren't from the bells decorating you.
He overall tried talking to you about it, in which you assured him that this was just how you were, but you didn't think you'd change while on earth. Speaking of changes when you turned into eclipse he thought you broke or something.
It was a high stress situation and you weren't taking it too well but he was walking you through it (to the best of his ability) until he saw you change. In this form you were more grounded and put together and you ended up helping alot like this.
He enjoys watching you interact with Russel and the others, reminds him of when he didn't have the responsibility of a leader. That and too often humored him more than the others. He knows he doesn't have to worry too much about you (especially seeing how capable you were at handling yourself) but sometimes worries when you change between forms. He wonders if it's painful for you.
Strongarm
She was definitely more harsh on you when you first met. As far as she was concerned you were just a civilian that got dragged into this mess, but she didn't dislike you as much as she did with sideswipe.
She thought you were gullible and slowing them down until she realized how crafty you were. She often watched how you partook in "arts and crafts" while watching over Russel but didn't bother to think how clever you were (at least in the situations you were actually in)
She grew more fond of you, especially after you got lost in the forest trying to find her and sideswipe after they had another disagreement. After they both cooled down and returned to base they realized that you've still been gone and it was already nightfall.
Eventually she went out to look for you but was shocked when she found you. You looked different, she almost confused you for a con in the dark. She noticed the change in your body language and voice, you sounded more quiet. You told her to keep your little change a secret and she did.
She honestly prefers your sun to your moon form. You were always cheerful and lively that seeing you so docile and quiet made her nervous. That and when she saw the way you had practically flipped a con like it was nothing.
When she met your eclipse form she approached you with more curiosity, asking if you were feeling well. You explained that you were okay but your heightened stress would often have you revert back to this.
She's understanding of your personalities and has enjoyed having you as her friend, especially when you talk to her about something new from earth.
Sideswipe
Oh boy where to begin. He didn't mind your presence but didn't seem interested to get to know you. He was all about action but he knew you weren't a total buzzkill.
After a while you ended up becoming his voice of reason, like a friend that was watching out over him and Russel if they were getting into more dangerous activities.
He enjoyed hanging out with you a ton, finding himself participating in any activities you were doing with Russel and Denny. He warmed up to you easily with your enthusiasm yet caring personality.
His jaw practically hit the floor when he saw your moon from, the way you threw that Decepticon like they were nothing had him flabbergasted. "Since when can you do that!?"
He was freaked out at first but then was practically beaming at how awesome you were. He found your moon form more calming to be around especially at night. He was more than happy to give your form a chance but he also wanted you to take down more cons (he wanted to see you go berserk again)
Then he saw your eclipse form and he couldn't decide how he was feeling about you, on one hand, this was another one of your surprises but on the other you were more sure of yourself and also helping out more in this form.
He's happy to call you his friend, especially when he convinces you to do something reckless with him. bumblebee always scolds him for being a bad influence, but in his opinion a little fun never hurt anyone.
Grimlock
When he first saw you he thought you were funny looking, in a good way! He loved the way your personality reflected the way you looked. You were like a little sun!
He was definitely 100% on board with anything you wanted to do. You always made up new ways to have fun. He did feel bad about arts and crafts though, he wasn't too careful and he'd more often than that break his creation, but you always comforted him and encouraged him forward.
The night the con had escaped its pod he practically had a heart attack as he saw you charge at the con, before sighing in relief when you successfully knocked them out. He was cheering loudly for you as you were attacking the con, telling you to go all out.
Other than that he liked your moon form, not only were you great at fighting but you became more caring and calm. He was actually the one that discovered your music box and at night would often ask for you to play it. (It helps him relax a lot, especially because it's also with you)
This man was so shocked seeing your eclipse form. He would often joke around with you about how you kept it a secret. You were amazing in your eclipse form, you kept your knowledge and strength in fighting but you were also a great teammate, he'd love to go on missions more with you.
He's honestly a sweetheart with you and gets along well with any form you're in.
Fixit
He was more amazed at your appearance. He wasn't used to seeing many bots but you were so different and stylized.
You were more understanding with his glitching, more often than not laughing to yourself at his mix up. You also were happy to befriend him more than the others. He believed it was because you didn't have much experience seeing a minicon.
Then he saw your moon from and was practically gushing at you. He had never seen another bot do whatever you just did! The personality changes gave it away that you were different from any regular bot.
He ended up trying to do some research, it's not that you were a different bot entirely. His conclusions led him to believe that something in your past caused this spilt in your personality.
He felt more safe around you whenever you stayed behind to look after the base when bumblebee had left for a mission, trusting that your moon side could protect them.
When he saw eclipse he was practically speechless. It made him ask all sorts of questions on why you were like this. You ended up being a bit vulnerable and explaining that you weren't sure why you were made like this and that you were sorry if this all made him upset.
He reassured you that he didn't think any less of you because of it, he actually compared it to his glitching. It wasn't regular but it made you both unique.
He's very warm and friendly towards you, he likes having you around, especially when you include him in whatever you're working on. He always ends up having a blast and he feels lucky to have a friend like you!

So, you're a Pricefielder and your virtual girlfriend broke up with you…
Tumblr media
I get it, breakups are painful. I lost my love of my life when my plane crashed in the artic and I was frozen for 70 years. Then I was awoken, witnessed my Peggy die of old age and I had a weird, short-lived fling with her great-niece. After that, not unlike Max Caulfield, I traveled back in time to be with my Peggy again. (Please, don't ask about Bucky. That's a sensitive topic for me.) So, yes, I get longing that transcends space and time.
But sometimes you have to move on.
I know you love Chloe Price very much. She's a great, fun character. The perfect, how do say, "Chaotic Lesbian"? And Max and Chloe are a wonderful couple. They are a big reason why I played through LiS 1 three times. I love to see them be happy and gay together!
But maybe that's not an interesting story?
In preparation for Double Exposure I caught up with the Life is Strange comics from Emma Vieceli, Claudia Leonardi and Andrea Izzo. You probably think "What! Not only did Captain America play the games, he read the comics, too?" Yes! We didn't had electronic games in the Forties, but I love videogames now. They are such an interesting medium to tell stories in. I especially love the games where you don't have to shoot anyone. And of course I love comics! Big fan since that Superman guy appeared in Action Comics #1.
Here's the thing: I like the LiS comics. All my favorite characters are back being happy, cute and are even doing a cool road trip after they finally got out of the uninteresting LA storyline. We get to see Chloe und Max together and at the end of the story they live a fulfilled life. Before that we get to see Rachel and Chloe together in a different dimension, being also super cute. I don't regret reading those comics. They're from fans for fans with a lot of interesting ideas and concepts that I already see reappearing in Double Exposure.
But those comics are so boring to read!
There's barely any conflict and barely any stakes. No bad guys, no villians, no really deep problems, nothing that makes them interesting. It's six issues of sweet fan service. A fan service that feels like nothing. Barely anything substantial happens in them. I would never recommend them to a non LiS fan. I just hope the True Colors comics from Zoe Thorogood are a better read.
Now imagine a similar Life is Strange game without any conflicts. That's boring! Stories need conflict! I watched multiple seasons of the time travel/history drama Outlander and even perfect couple Claire and Jaimie went through some conflicts and rough patches, too!
I think I know what it is: This fandom is obsessed with Chloe. Like I said, she's a great character, but also she's a huge, pardon my french, bitch. A super annoying and insecure girl constantly pissed about everything. Ugh, no. That's what you're into, really?
Life is Strange is more than Pricefield. We even had two great games with LiS 2 and True Colors that were not about Chloe and Max! And isn't Max allowed to kiss other girls? Is a developer not allowed to tell new stories with old characters? Are fictional characters and real-life developers not allowed to move on from the past?
Speaking of videogame developers: Did you know that in one ending of LiS 1 Chloe can die? And that this ending is a choice in not only Life is Strange 2 and Wavelenghts, but also in Double Exposure? And because of that the developers are being forced to write a story around a character that has the possibility of being dead. Gosh darn, that's quite a Schrdinger's cat, I'm telling you! Game development is already hard enough, but trying to do basically a whole seperate game with a living Chloe running around would have make things unnecessary hard for the devs. So, what's the solution? Find a way to have Chloe not in the game. I know what's in the game is not how you would have preferred it, but it is what it is. You don't have to like it...
But you don't have to be mean about it.
The LiS fan community is on the brink of turning into a toxic cesspool like it happened with other fandoms. Some of you have already harassed developers at Deck Nine who probably had nothing to do with Chloe not being in the game. You don't want to be like the Star Wars fans hating on cool and interesting stuff like The Last Jedi or The Acolyte. Neither do you want be like the Silent Hill fans hating the new Silent Hill 2 Remake, which seems to be a pretty good game. (Sadly, hating new Silent Hill stuff is not new for them. They we're neglected by Konami and for a long time only got bad HD re-releases and Silent Hill pachinko machines. They can't remember a time when they were not depressed. For them, it's always like this.)
But you can be better, dear Life is Strange fans.
Just look at Remedy fans! They were waiting thirteen years for a sequel to Alan Wake and finally got one last year! The Remedy fandom is one of the most uplifting and positive fandoms I experienced. They're always stoked about new games by Remedy and are okay with changes to lore and characters.
As Captain America I get trying to hold on to the past. The past is comfortable. Change is scary. It takes time to get used to new things.
But change doesn't have to be a bad thing. It brings new opportunities.
To quote Max herself from Double Exposure: "There's so much more to your life than just the past. It's hard, but try to move on."

hey i'm curious to know what you think would happen if varg and marie broke up? i love reading your opinions <3
Well, first thing first, I don't think that they will ever break up. She is too well 'programmed', so to speak (it is sad) to see the world through her own eyes and realize the dubious choices that she made for both her and her children. However, exploring the wishful (unrealistic) thought that she would ever want to get away from Vikernes, this is how I see things:
Starting over again with 7 children is something that I can't even imagine how hard it is, plus the long-lasting emotional damage. You're left with no security, most times no financial support and no stability for what the future brings. Unfortunately, this is one of the crude reasons why many women would rather stay in an unsatisfying marriage that can even become toxic. She would have a hard time adapting to society (if she would ever consider that) and an even harder time to raise her offspring who had little to no real-world connection.
Now, what would happen with him would make a great documentary (half kidding).
Entering a narcissist's mind, you can tell with accuracy that his whole world would break down. Why? Because he invested every resource he had to make her be the wife that he wanted her to be. The process of grooming started quite early when she was still a child (16 if I remember correctly). The first thing people like him do is love-bombing, making their romantic interest feel like they are entirely perfect and the best candidate for them. This phase is ameliorated in time as routine and familiarity set in as well as boredom. Narcissists get bored so quickly if they are not simulated constantly, especially cerebral narcissists like how Vikernes seems to be.
Varg can have all the attention and admiration in the world, but if his prime source of narcissistic supply leaves him, he will suffer the greatest ego injury/ collapse of all times. Don't believe me, look up this phenomenon, and educate yourself.
Men like Varg have a very fragile ego that is protected by these alloplastic defenses (he searches for ways to manipulate the environment and people around him to meet his goals, he never works on himself. In fact, his personality issues are very resistant, almost immune to change. This is why you won't see narcissists in therapy. They are just perfect, everything is 'wrong' with the world.) These defenses are automatic and their role is to put a barrier between the real world (the concept of failing) and the fragile ego.
These men are highly neurotic, highly insecure on their own masculinity, poorly adaptive, highly dependent on people's perception of them (the irony is that narcissists come off as 'independent' most of the time), so Marie has the role of an emotional regulator for him. She is his biggest supporter, his cheerleader, his endless fountain of admiration and affection. She is his 'mother'.
I remember one time reading one of her Tweets in which she praised him for repairing their roof, literally making a post about something that everyone can do, especially men in a traditional marriage. I genuinely believe that Varg can't do shit around the house and Marie is the only one hard-working every day. Varg makes a cringy post every 2 hours, so I'm inclined to think that he stays inside most of the time and plays videogames. After all, that's how he enjoys life, he said on his blog that he doesn't want to work. Then, I remember a video that he made about repairing their fence and it was so 'interesting and applaudable as if he built a brick house on the spot. This is pathetic especially because he calls himself such a manly, primitive, strong, smart, (insert whatever adjective he wishes to be) man.
I have no doubt that what he thinks he does useful for his family's life he indeed believes it is useful and his wife praises him, keeps boosting his fragile ego all the time to keep the 'harmony' intact. This is such a common thing actually.
Marie is like his mother in a twisted way. The mother that is engaged with him, the mother that pays attention to him and loves him unconditionally, the mother who has an only child, the mother he never had. If she abandons him, it's all over. The shared fantasy, the 'we against the would' delusion, the perfect lie, everything is over.
I believe he would beg her to stay because contrary to popular opinions, narcissists do love (in a sort of twisted way), get attached to people just like little children do (mentally they rarely evolve beyond the age of 4-5 and Varg is not that miracle) and they cannot admit that they failed in life.
He made children with her, assured that they had just enough aspects that would keep them bound forever for the rest of their lives, and made her fall in love with a grandiose but ultimately a false image of a husband so she cannot leave him because without her he is nothing. This is not my brave assumption, this is the literature about narcissists' minds.
Would he find another wife, all the process will repeat, but I think that he would become even more paranoid about betrayal and more careful (cold) from then on. Would he try not to make the same mistake again, he will remain alone, tell the world that there is no good left in his 'kind' and become ever worse of a contemporaneous clown than he is now (which is hand to imagine but possible if given the right context).
In a way, Marie keeps him from being worse because she gives him the confidence that he desperately needs, affirms his atrocious opinions and loves him like she loves the rest of her children.
Edit: important disclaimer
I do not talk down the narcissistic personality disorder. Varg is an isolated/extreme case of malignant narcissists, and what I think about him does not apply to how I think about other people in this spectrum. There are characteristics that apply to all NPD individuals, and there are characteristics that apply to a smaller population.
No mental disorder justifies the inappropriate and literally dangerous behavior of some individuals. But the meant disorders can help identify the mentality behind a particular behavior.
I'm well aware that there are many people in the NPD community work on healing themselves, are mindful of their own behavior and are genuine.
Getting better and being the best version of yourself is the most honorable and responsible approach.

What I love about the Layton puzzles is that no matter who you are, your age, or the types of intelligence you’re proficient with, they have at least one puzzle you will always solve on your own. There’s a puzzle for everybody! It feels so… accesible?
There’s puzzles for math enthusiasts! There’s puzzles revolving around spatial skills. There’s quirky puzzles about thinking outside the box, and others where you need strict linear thinking.
There’s even puzzles you can solve by gut instinct! We all process information to some degree, subconsciously — when you can’t fully work the logic, it’s a way to decide. It may seem “illogical” compared to other mental skills, but when honed right without prejudices, it’s a valuable tool.
Best of all, regardless if you get the right or wrong answer, there’s always positive reinforcement.
There’s no time limit or harsh punishments for failing. Obviously, failing lowers your Picarats, but as far as I’m aware, there’s no recrimination or guilt-trips such as “YOU FAILED, GAME OVER, NO SECOND CHANCES, IT’S ALL YOUR FAULT FOR BEING SO STOOPID”.
Layton is a gentleman… and so are his creators and this game. It teaches us that you can learn and try again when you fail. If you need help, you can take it without shame (the hint system, retrying, abandoning non-mandatory puzzles for later, colored pens for notes).
And these games aren’t only for newbies. You can be a hardcore puzzle solver and the game rewards that with gold medals and high Picarats scores! You can set your own limits in this regard.
The Layton games break many stereotypes in videogames about “mysteries must be solved with cold, emotionless logic”. How many “logical” characters in media have we seen be emotionally constipated jerks? Sure, Layton has occasional sassy quips, and there’s hundred of essays about his “gentleman persona”, how Mary Sue he feels at the beginning... but he’s polite, forgiving, and openly displays concern for people’s well-being.
Layton feels welcoming and flexible to many players, including younger audiences. It’s not perfect, but it’s good. I’m so glad this blog follows that core message — thank you for letting us experience again this puzzle-solving thrill! (And thanks to the other players on the blog for keeping the positive environment alive, too!)
I'm very touched by this. You are absolutely right, Professor Layton is for everyone! I'm very appreciative of everyone who engages with the puzzles. I really never expected it to end up being so many people but it makes me happy to know.

After a girls night with Maliksi ~
Tumblr media
Disclaimer: I do not own Maliksi and Makisig - Full Credit goes to HC - @ask-emilz-de-philz. Please check out their blog for amazing art and the wonderful world of Planet Puto.. All involved characters are adults. This might or might not be a self insert, please don't come for me.
Genre: Fluff
THIS WILL BE SHORT GUYSSS, BUT IT'S SO FLUFFY HEHEHE
Tumblr media
"We're borrowing Y/n!"
A group of Makisig's ladies suddenly barged into your room giggling before dragging you away from Maliksi who has his head resting on your lap a few seconds ago.
"C'mon! Y'all just had a sleep over last week!" Maliksi protested as he sat back up with a frown on his face.
"It's girls night! You can have your Kuya Maki, he's already setting up your games in the living room." One of the girls said before tossing Maliksi a whole bag of MM's.
"Tch. I'll pick Y/n up at 9pm."
"What is she, a teenager?" The lady sighed and rolled her eyes before tossing Maliksi another bag of chocolate.
"Okay, make that 11pm."
Tumblr media
"Bunso, can't you stay still?" Makisig softly chuckled as he noticed how Maliksi is just restless while they both play videogames. The younger tamawo just grumbled after being KO'd in the game once again.
"Pfft. Please don't tell me you can't concentrate when Y/n is not beside you." Makisig liked teasing his lil brother. It's funny to see him scrunch his face in an attempt to find the perfect excuse-
"Maybe."
Makisig's eyes widen before he broke out in soft laughter as he ruffles Maliksi's hair. Never in a hundred years did he expect his younger brother to be acting like this towards a human.
"Oh, did my girls asked you properly before taking Y/n away?"
"Huh? What do you mean properly?"
"They didn't tell you that they'll be drinking? One of them requested for some liquor so they can have a little party tonight."
"What? No! They didn't tell me-"
Before Maliksi can continue what he was saying, Makisig's phone notification lit up. It was one of the girls sending him a message:
"We can hear your lil brother's voice in here. Y/n is fine."
Attached to the message is a short video of Y/n giggling with the other ladies- her face is all cutely flushed from being slightly drunk and her eyes slightly half lidded.
She's adorable.
Maliksi can feel his face heating up and his ears turning red upon seeing the video. "Kuya, can you send that to me? Pleaseee?"
Makisig just ended up laughing as he sends the video to his younger brother.
The two brothers continued playing for hours before one of the girls approached them. "Y/n fell asleep. She can spend the night with us-"
"No. I'm taking her back."
Without missing a beat, Maliksi was already standing on his feet and walking towards the room, spotting you curled up in the couch right away. He walked straight towards you, brushing your hair away from your face before gently lifting you up in his arms and carrying you. "Come on, beautiful. Time for bed."
You smiled at him before nuzzling into the crook of his neck as he carries you to your bedroom. Maliksi softly chuckled at the gesture, finding it utterly cute.
He gently put you down on the bed before grabbing a wet towel and some change of clothes. Maliksi started taking off your clothes, pressing a kiss on your bare shoulders as he started wiping your body off with the towel.
"Lift your hair up for me." Maliksi softly said as he wipes around your neck and chest. "There we go."
"Thank you." You softly whispered while trying to sit still as possible. Once you were feeling much more comfortable, Maliksi helped you slip into your pajamas. "How are you feeling? Not too dizzy?"
"Hmm. Sleepyyy~"
Maliksi softly chuckled. "I can see that, Y/n. Let's sleep."
He turned off the lights before pulling you under the covers and wrapping his arms around your body. You snuggled closer to him, burying your face into his chest. "Goodnight, Maliksi."
"Goodnight, Y/n."

radiodust human - mental hospital au.
word count: [7.7k]
chapter 01. chapter 02.
Tumblr media
𝟎𝟏. 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐛𝐮𝐛𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐦;
Alastor just can't believe his eyes, Angel Dust himself like a gift from heaven, being his roomate in the hospital. Suddently, he's not so bored anymore.
Quickly recomposing himself, he pretends his mouth wasn't twisted into the biggest smirk ever, that his eyes weren't wide behind his glasses. He looks directly into Angel's eyes, his mouth just twitching to grow into a smirk again when he catches Angel's own eyes growing in disbelief.
He's going to have too much fun with this, he hopes. It's not like Alastor never hoped for this to happen. A miracle, his former classmate — friend? crush? — sent into his arms. Or his dorm, since Alastor just saw a nurse leading Angel to his — Alastor's (and now Angel's) — room.
It all started when they were sophomores. Both of them, being in the same biology class.
It was destiny, honestly. The day before classes started, and he was glued to his phone with both Rosie and Mimzy on the other line, checking their schedules. Rosie had her history classes with Mimzy, Alastor and Mimzy shared their trigonometry class and Rosie and Alastor couldn't wait to have at least one class together. Except that never came.
The next day, he was quite pouty in his first period, sitting all alone when his nest friend could've been right there on his side. And then the door opens and the teacher says something but Alastor is too distracted by the way the tree right outside the classroom moves with the wind, and it's going to rain-
And someone is sitting next to him, the scent of smoke and perfume hitting his nostrils before he can grasp what's happening.
That... creature. With long limbs, pale skin, blue eyes, blonde hair with pink in the ends, and a bubblegum growing with air between his lips while he drops his backpack in the floor.
The bubblegum pops, and Alastor's attention does too. He looks away, and his deskmate doesn't even seem to notice.
Alastor stares through the entire period. And when the bell rings, and he has to meet some girl named Charlotte for the drama club, the stranger speaks up. And Alastor can’t help but notice how tall he is now that he's standing.
"You ain't exactly playin' it subtle, ya know?" The gum smacks in his mouth, and Alastor can *hear it.
He almost drops his backpack — which would have been so embarrasing — in surprise, and even the creature voice makes Alastor shiver. Not with need or whatever, but with energy. Of what? He doesn't know — yet.
"Subtle? Whatever do you mean?" If Alastor could bat his damn eyelashes like the ladies in danger of Husk's old videogames, he would do it. Just a little sparkle to his performance.
When the stranger laughs, a tooth gem glints in the light and Alastor almost falls back at seeing the gem perfectly put in his canine tooth.
"Whatever, but at least give me your name. Just for, like, compensation or somethin for yer staring."
"I was not staring." He was, through the whole period.
"Alastor. It's a pleasure." He quickly debates woth himself if leaning in and taking his hand to give it a kiss would be too much. But his mother raised him to be a gentleman, so he does that and ignores the stare it earns him.
"I've never heard that name, geez. Oh- i'm Angel." Oh, perfect. "Angel Dust. Like the drug, y'know."
Y'know. Alastor knows. He knows just right. And he can smell the bubblegum from Angel's mouth, strawberry. And then the classroom it's almost empty and Angel is almost gone before he flashes Alastor another smile and walks off.
And Alastor wonders how much force he would have to use to take Angel's gem-decorated-canine-tooth out with his own teeth.
He catches himself thinking about Angel sometimes. And he doesn't think anything of it. He always remembers Mimzy when 'Chicago' is mentioned, since one summer they had a sleepover and they watched the movie twice after her pleading. He always remembers Rosie when someone says 'Rose', a more silly thing, but she likes to hear that.
And now, he always remembers a flash of blonde and pink when someone munches on a strawberry bubblegum in front of him. When someone smokes next to him and he recalls the first thing he caught on when Angel sat next to him. Normal.
He definitely doesn't get disappointed when Angel doesn't talk to him for two whole weeks of class. Either napping or playing with his phone instead of doing what he was supposed to do. Which was look at Alastor's direction. And the teacher's direction, maybe.
Alright, alright. Maybe he’s exaggerating. Angel does talk to him, flirts with him, even. But he quickly catches the way Alastor bristles and stops after two days. Sometimes, when Mr. Hart is talking, Alastor would sigh and Angel would silently snicker in agreement. In boredom.
Alastor makes other friends — he doesn't even know if he can call them that. Charlotte, a bubbly blonde with big brown eyes and a bigger mansion with butlers and maids and security, who got so happy when he said that he would participate in her play. Her best friend, Vagatha, who didn't liked him but Alastor couldn't care less. She was a good director, strict and almost sounded like a captain, but he could be better — also, annoying her was becoming one of his favorite hobbies. There was another dude... Penf... Pen...Pennie? Whatever, who was getting quite cozy with Husk and Nifty. He was just fine. Peachy. Rosie and Mimzy got along with everybody. A big group, if you will.
He has P.E with Husk - the worst person ever to do anything with physical activity — and he kept running in front of Husk’s tired figure, earning him a glare and sometimes a mock slap that didn’t even reach Alastor. When they’re sitting on the benches, Husk chugging down a bottle of water while listening to him talk about his new classes, Alastor opens his big fat mouth and talks about Angel Dust.
Husk stops gulping the water and wipes his mouth with the back of his hand while giving Alastor a thousand glares in one.
“Really? Angel? That's new.” He says and leans back on the bench, groaning when he fully registers the hot sun in his skin. “He flirted with you yet?”
And Alastor looks away and Husk laughs and now who’s receiving the mock slaps is Husk. They argue back and forth, the subject ‘Angel’ being forgotten — thank god — and while they walk towards the locker room, he turns to Husk again.
“Also, Charlotte wants to sit together for lunch today. Apparently, she found another lost sheep.” Husk groans and mumbles because he wanted to smoke in lunch instead.
“This is starting to sound like a fucking cult. The new Manson Family.”
The lost sheep being Angel Dust himself. Who looked like the most bored person ever while Charlotte spoke excitedly next to Vagatha, picking peas out of the blonde's plastic tray to settle them on her own. Husk, who had his face pressed to the table, almost dozing out — Alastor kept throwing his own peas at Husk's face to (annoy) wake him up — Nifty, drawing something in her notebook while kicking her legs under the table and hitting Pennie — Peny? Peno? — every single time and successfully ignoring his complains. And Angel, typing on his phone through the whole thing and even yawning a couple of times — Alastor had to shake his head to destroy the thoughts of throwing a pea into Angel's open mouth.
The group dynamic was a bit off, not like Alastor cared. It was quite fun to watch Charlie — she insisted in the nickname — try and fail to tie them all together. They went by a month like that. Sometimes with fights that Alastor couldn't be happier to witness — almost all of them involving Vaggie and Angel.
That is, until Charlie puts her foot down into one idea. A sleepover every week at someone's house. The idea, obviously, gets shut down quickly. No one can lender their own home a night every week, parents being too nosy or controling. Alastor doesn't mention that his mom could care less about sleepovers, but he likes his house the way it is, his own world with his mother.
Of course, Charlie all but insists in the idea, settling it in her own house. And it becomes a regular thing.
Sometimes, they have it on Husk's place. One time, they came too close to doing it in Angel's home, only lacking his parents agreement, but Angel returned with a 'no' in his tongue and a fading purple-ish bruise in his arm.
One day, Alastor decides that it can't be that bad. His mother is ecstatic to finally have his friends over, and gives them all the privacy in the world. Husk and Nifty don't see nothing new, being regulars on his house. But Charlie gushes about how nice his mom is, with Vaggie nodding behind her and tugging blankets closer. Angel quietly agrees with it himself, and Alastor feels a something pull in him when he sees Angel laying down in a spare mattress, arm hanging out from underneath the covers when they're all almost falling asleep.
And he learns that Angel falls asleep fast. He scoots closer to his sleeping form, making sure no one is watching him so he can watch Angel. It's not like watching, is more like observing.
Angel has freckled shoulders. Little pink-ish spots all over his shoulders. His hair is soft — and Alastor knows this only by looking, it's not like he reached foward and touched his hair, never. He has some freckles in his face, but Alastor can't look for too long because Charlie comes back from the bathroom.
He goes to sleep next to Angel's backpack, and drifts off to the smell of strawberry bubblegum that Angel keeps stashed in the bigger pocket of the bag.

So I saw that Street Fighter tier list, and I noticed that C. Viper was near dead last. I'm not too familiar with her, but I was under the impression she was pretty well-liked by SFIV standards--any reason why you dislike her so much?
I don't actually dislike her much as a character, I put her at the bottom because of how much I hate Viper's playstyle. That wasn't really a tier list for the series in general, more so about the prospecting of those characters returning (ex: I don't hate Necalli, I wrote the biggest semi-defense the dude is ever gonna get, and I still know he needs to fuck off). In Viper's case, I find her uniquely grating to watch because she spends so much time spamming feint Seismic Hammer to condition control over the opponent's jumps or canceling Burning Kick in the air to mix up her landings, and it makes it she's always doing that ringing sound all the goddamn time, at least El Fuerte's squeaky shoes and running animation are funny. Yes, it kind of is sublimely perfect that the CIA agent's playstyle consists of overtly psychologically conditioning and electrically torturing your opponent into opening up, but that lands her into a firm "fuck off forever" for me because I never want to sit through a Viper match in SFIV and MvC3 alike, or ever again. So unless they did something about that, I don't consider it a loss if she's never playable again. She probably will though, if not in 6 then in 7, but that's a headache for later.
I mean, SFIV standards were abysmally low so you could say Viper was comparatively well-received next to the other new characters, but she was never really that popular. In fact even at the game's launch Ono was surprised that players weren't latching onto Viper, despite Viper being custom-made for Western audiences
Tumblr media
“With all due to respect to him (Abel), he’s a great character, but honestly we thought Crimson Viper would be a big hit here,” said Ono. “We got a lot of marketing data and a lot of advice from our US branch in creating that character. She was kind of custom tailored for the States and we thought people would like her.”
People did start playing her a lot more overtime because she turned out to be a competitive scene monster, but I mostly remember people being baffled and cynical when she got picked for MvC3. C.Viper was a popular moveset, but not so much a popular character, and it wasn't at all difficult for Juri to completely eclipse her, despite how hard they were trying to push Viper at first. I think you can very easily point to what Ono said as a reason why she didn't catch on that much. She is blatantly designed to appeal to American audiences and that made her more of a gimmick than a character. She is Angelina Jolie as a secret agent spy in an extremely tight-fitting pantsuit who also has superhero powers that nobody else has and that she achieves with technology. I already don't give much of a damn about most of the military/government affiliated characters in the series, but they tend to have other things going on that Viper really doesn't.
The KOF ladies she's ripping off have distinct fighting styles (and those games get to play much more loose with character design) they get to provide an interesting take on by doing it while dressing fashionably, but Viper is defined by her reliance on gadgets and gimmicks. She is a very generic videogame protagonist lady who plays like one of those hodpedodge World Tour characters, and she's not even a bad design on her own, she's just not really pulling her weight as a Street Fighter character. She represents nothing, and I don't think she has anything going on really justifies her inclusion over another character.
Tumblr media
All that said, I actually do think Viper is a useful character to have around. I'm against her ever being playable again but, like I said, she probably will, and fine, she has a allright enough niche as a character. I am exceedingly generous to a lot of SF characters I'm otherwise not a fan of and she's a character I can talk myself into appreciating more, as I'm doing now. She's a decent POV character to drive stories around in her IV and V appearences, given her job forces her to play detective around the characters, but she actively doesn't want to fight, so she's always going to run when the going gets rough and leave the fighting to the actual main characters. Her priority is to do her job so she can go home and be with her daughter and that's all she cares about, she has neither time nor patience to care about this and she finds it frankly ridiculous that people call her gadgets unfair, when she's just trying to get the fight done as quickly as possible.
They get some good mileage out of the fact that she stands for nothing and that she is intruding somewhere she doesn't belong, that she's just punching the clock on a job she was given, that she really doesn't have any kind of beef with these people and just needs them to get out of her way and really has no stake other than survival for her family's sake, and that all the fighters detest her, whether it's because she is blatantly cheating, or because she's a pain in the ass, or because of how viciously she brutalized Cammy (not sure if that whole movie is canon still), that kind of thing.
Tumblr media
It could be very possible that Juri ls lying, and the illustration is definitely exaggerated, but I enjoyed the reveal in SF6 that she and Viper have basically become partners in crime, that Juri considers them "cut from the same cloth", and that she has the same goal as a greedy career criminal who kidnaps people for evil organizations (which was the same thing C.Viper was doing undercover). I enjoy them mostly dispensing with the pretense that Viper is supposed to be a good person and I enjoy the series letting one of it's government/military agent characters be a bastard/ honest about the job they have.
She can love her daughter as much as she wants and even have decent enough interactions with other characters, it's not going to make her not a CIA spook who beats up and tortures people with electric gauntlets on the clock. It isn't even that unbelievable that she would wind up on good terms with Juri, not just because they're both cheating with technological assets, or because they were both working for the same guy and biding their time to backstab him, but because they both exist to break the rules everyone else is mostly abiding by, neither strong enough to attrack too much attention as villains nor weak enough that they can't match the heroes when push to comes to shove. They both had personal revenge stakes to get through (Juri with her parents, Viper with her fallen partners), and with both of their targets gone, they get to just be themselves: cockroaches trying to make off with the prize / turn a profit in a space they view as largely dominated by suckers.
Much like Mel Masters in the 6 comic, I think it's good for Street Fighter to have characters that have an agnostic/adverse relationship to the concept of street fighting, and to her credit, there is something really funny about her position. She is a James Bond in a world full of evil organizations and villains to fight, but the only way to get to them is through fighting tournaments, and all the actual heroes of the world fighting said people hate her guts for cheating and refusing to put in the work they did in martial arts that are, apparently, the most important thing in the world I guess??? She is a hypercompetent superspy who wishes she could be out there doing regular espionage stuff, and instead has to deal with superpowered fighting bozos flushing years of careful investigative work down the toilet. Born to blow up islands full of henchmen and arm South American coups, forced to step into the ring with Ryu from the Streets who doesn't even pay taxes.

okok so i just wanted to compliment ur writing in a way i haven’t seen others compliment it and it’s smth that i never see in any literature ever w fem MCs especially fan fiction. i love the way u give the MC a personality and life of her own. i like that’s he can stand up for herself and has hopes and passions that don’t just correlate with the men in the series. this is insane for fan fiction ESPECIALLY cuz it’s x reader. i don’t think u understand how much i appreciate it and it’s one of the reasons i most look forward to ur chapters. she’s not just some dumb silly, small, boy-crazy, and perfect mc and i love that!! teen girls are so complex and u right that so well. anyway love ya 🤍🤍
Aww darling this is so sweet!
And let me tell you, (this is most def gonna be a small rant) I feel like reader-insert fics have a really bad reputation, and I know there are factions of the internet that absolutely despise them but I have to say some of the best fanfiction I've ever read, have been reader inserts.
So, while I do know there are some bad ones (I've seen them and read them), I also think the genre has the potential for greatness. I mean, just think about it, it's kind of like playing a videogame in which you get to choose the character you're playing as, customizing and all that. But nobody goes around criticizing video games where you get to basically self-insert into the narrative, do they? (I mean I suppose they do but that's because people like criticizing stuff)
If Dante did it, why can't we?
Either way, what I mean to say is that I'm trying to be one of those incredibly good writers I've encountered who basically redeem the genre by being single-handedly incredible. Writers like @wkemeup @kquil @embrassemoi @maiden-of-asgard @lokisgoodgirl @lokischambermaid @pseudonymmcwriter @matchavellichor @buckyskorpion @myfictionaldreams and many many more writers out there that time after time deliver incredibly amazing content, that never ceases to amaze me!
I'm starting a Defense Club for Reader fics, who wants to join in?
Also... I'm so glad you guys don't think MC is "miss perfect", because she might be talented but she's also dumb and stubborn as fuck and weaving that into the narrative has been so much fun! I didn't want a Jane Doe, I wanted a strong female character with actual fucking flaws and character growth because I want and need to see her struggle and improve. The whole "she's magically talented thing" does not vibe with me. Even if she is a little bit gifted, but then again, she has to be if she wants to keep up with the marauders.
i love the way u give the MC a personality and life of her own. i like that’s he can stand up for herself and has hopes and passions that don’t just correlate with the men in the series.
Ugh this! So happy this is the impression it's giving because since the start, I tried to have the series pass the Bechdel Test because I want to accurately represent women in the story. And while yes, they are teens and of course, they're thinking about dating, they also have their own issues. And while this is the story of how Vixen, Sirius and Remus end up in a throuple, it is also the story of how Vixen ends up in Hogwarts and deals with her new life there, and that aspect of the story is just as interesting to me as the relationship drama.
Either way, I want to thank you for your nice comments, I've had one hell of a week and this most definitely made me feel a lot better. lysm.

Same BG3-> dragon age anon: you said you liked to talk about it last time so please give me your full opinion if you are passionate🫶🏽 many thanks
hello anon!
this is a very open-ended, and dangerous question! to be honest, there is a lot to dismantle and unpick about Dragon Age until there's nothing left to enjoy (I actually love critiquing it though, jokes on them I love to be a hater). But! If I'm focusing on the positives!
What Dragon Age is to me, is 'what I wanted skyrim to be when I played it'. This is no shade on Skyrim, it's just that that was the first fantasy rpg I ever tried, and I'm just not a sandbox girlie. I got increasingly frustrated with Skyrim, claiming I wanted to feel like I'd impacted the world and that my decisions had consequences. What I wanted, in hindsight, was D&D, but my friend turned to me and said 'have you played dragon age?' and thus a mental illness was born.
I honestly think BG3 knowingly borrowed many of the things Dragon Age is still loved by its fandom for. I also think it did a lot of them better, simply through the grace of being 10 years newer than Inquisition (and not being owned by EA!) But for me, the split between 'adventuring' and 'home space cutscenes', the focus on companion quests, relationships based in approval, and romances are all things that are done in a clear understanding of what made Dragon Age so popular. BG3's endings for each companion are more starkly contrasted and nuanced, but I liked playing Dragon Age and seeing my games altered depending on my choices. Again, here I'm not saying Dragon Age is perfect! I think the BG3 romances are more solid across the board compared to Dragon Age, and the only game that I think has a comparative '100% hot' rate is Dragon Age Origins. But the reason there's such a huge crossover in the fan bases is bc Dragon Age did a lot of it first! Bioware as a developer is heralded in academic video game criticism for being one of the first studios to encourage parasocial relationships with its fictional characters, and to use affective relationships with these figures as a way of deepening your immersion and the perceived 'realism' of a videogame world.
My other favourite thing about Dragon Age is it's buckwild wizard politics! Mages (in the first three games) are placed in 'circles', which are essentially magic school prisons bc mages are too dangerous to be out in society. The tensions surrounding 'mage rights' are the subject to many memes in the fandom, but I think it's genuinely one of the most interesting parts of the world that runs through all 3 games. The concept of the Circles really appeals to the part of me that occasionally falls prey to Dark Academia (and one of my fave authors NK Jemisin agrees with me, she used them as one of her inspirations for her award winning series The Broken Earth!)
I think the reason I write fanfic primarily for videogames is because the nature of gaming code and the way videogames work as texts means there is always gaps left by the slightly utilitarian approach to storytelling (dialogue options you wish you could change, choices you wish you could make, parts of the world you wish you could explore more directly). My first fic ever (!) was a Dragon Age fic about the Rite of Tranquility, an aspect of the world that is often quite plot relevant but then never really dug into bc of who the protagonists of each game are, where mages are cut off from the dream realm that gives them their magic forcibly, like a cauterised wound. I really loved this element of the story as a fantasy device, and I daydreamed about how that experience would impact an individual... 3 years later, covid hit, and a fic was born!
so yeah! I just think dragon age is neat! and in typical-me fashion, I like the way its wizards work :)

Wow... Just Wow... You'd think in the post The Last of Us Part II world game developers would think twice before killing off a main character people were yearning to play again. I thought Activision knew better and since they didn't do anything of the sort in MWII, the boys are safe. Gosh, I was so excited, I just wanted to have a good time and see what's new with my buddies from 1-4-1. Fuck this, I'm exhausted
Dear Anon, I've got so much to say to the point I felt the need to distance myself from the fandom immediately after completing the campaign. I am emotionally devastated, and as crazy as it sounds, it was vital to me that AV gave Soap another chance after mw3. Sure, it's a war videogame and deaths are therefore inevitable, but killing the same character twice with the sole hope of making us hate Makarov so as to have more hype for the next COD (which, personally, I doubt will follow this arc since I define it now concluded although there are still unresolved issues) it was a stupid move to make, because by doing so we are hating AV, not Makarov himself.
Furthermore, what is most infuriating is that if the COD family has started to be so lively, creative and enthusiastic again in ways that it wasn't even 20 years ago, it is above all thanks to Saop.
Each of the protagonists in MWII was perfect, earning a special place in our hearts, but it is clear that Soap and the relationship established with Ghost were the catalyst of definitive affection that connected us so deeply to the reboot, leading us to buy even a new game that, more than a campaign, more than a DLC, is a scam:
rushed dialogues, too many characters piled on top of each other, typical warzone game dynamics with such a short duration that each level becomes chaotic etc etc etc... 2, maximum 3 hours later, we find ourselves with a Soap killed, slaughtered and left to die with total dullness and without any emotional focus DURING our game without even receiving a cutscene dedicated to him. And, as if that wasn't enough, by killing him, Ghost was also indirectly killed: for once, perhaps for the first real time, that man - always represented as cold - had found a family and something, someone to hold on to: taking it away from him , they demolished two people with a single shot.
Atrocious.
Treating one of the characters who has practically supported the entire current COD fortune on his shoulders in this way is, for me, a great injustice, as well as a stupid move.
Again, I don't hate Makarov; I hate AV.
Also, I apologize for the outburst, but after 20 years of supporting the COD saga, I never expected them to play so dirty with reboots.
I'll make a separate post when I find the courage, but for now thank you for giving me the opportunity to talk about it openly.

Have you ever read the fancomic "tale of two rulers"? If you have, what do you think of their version of Vaati?
Oh. Oh, I am very sorry for how long this message is about to be, but I've been waiting for an excuse to talk about this. To be completely honest, I'm sick of fanworks that focus only on Vaati's characterization in two small scenes from Four Swords/Four Swords Adventures when Minish Cap is RIGHT THERE and has infinitely more potential for compelling character work. He actually HAS a character in Minish Cap, whereas Four Swords is a glorified tech demo where the Only story is one scene where he kidnaps Zelda to be his bride. And Four Swords Adventures has a story about him kidnapping maidens to sleep with in its intro cutscene-- but it never comes up again after that-- and is heavily implied to be a legend that is not accurate to what was really happening, because you see for yourself that he's Really kidnapping the maidens because they're sages who give Link the power to defeat him. He doesn't even have any dialogue in that game; he's used no differently than any other boss monster. Aside from using his human design from Minish Cap, a lot of these fanworks choose to completely ignore his characterization from that game/manga, even though they have HOURS of content that is SO much more interesting than "evil wizard wants to fuck Zelda". He's clearly an emotional abuse victim at the hands of Ezlo, and has been so ever since he was the same age as Link. He's out on his own for the first time in a world that's literally stepped on him his whole life-- as a late teenager at the absolute oldest-- with godlike power in his hands after a life of being completely powerless. That's why he's so obsessed with the idea of perfecting himself; Ezlo drilled it into him that he had to become a perfect sorcerer, so that's what he's going to do. But he's a KID; he's angry, he's impulsive, he lashes out when someone crosses him even if it wasn't really their fault, and he has breakdowns when things don't go his way. When his first plan to get the Light Force doesn't work, he straight up does not know what to do, and spends the whole game trying to course-correct his mistake and making it SEEM like he knows what he's doing to keep himself from giving up. He clings so desperately to his goal and to his powers because he doesn't want to be controlled by anyone like Ezlo ever again. He'd rather be a monster than a rat in a cage. Tale of Two Rulers-- and other fanworks like it-- could do SO MUCH with that in conjunction with Vaati having been used as a puppet by Ganondorf in Four Swords Adventures! How violated and furious he would feel that, after he finally broke free of his imprisonment after centuries-- probably still a late teenager since he was frozen in time that whole time-- he's right back where he started with being taken advantage of by an older more powerful wizard! What would drive him to willingly work with someone who did that to him? But no, instead we get "he's horny and tries to sleep with every woman he meets". There's nothing WRONG with writing him like that-- people can do whatever they want so long as it's not hurting anyone-- but it's just ALL I SEE from most Vaati fans, and has been ever since the old days on 2012 deviantart. I wish I had the energy and time to do a fanwork myself, because I want so badly for there to be one that does Vaati justice re: his portrayal in Minish Cap. But I just don't have it in me to commit to a project like that when I've got my own videogame to worry about.

hi all! sorry, this is going to be a bit of a sad post.
I just want to share that Nano passed away today. He was a very old bun at 9 years old and we just couldn't keep it up with his increasingly difficult health issues.
As of right now, I'm not asking for consolation or any words of comfort. It's the first time I'm dealing with a loss of this scale, of something I've loved so dearly for so long, that I'll never get back.
I'm still coming to terms about how I feel about it. There were so many times I felt like meeting him was fate. And to be honest, I still do. I set out to adopt a classic white bunny(because honestly that's the only color I had ever seen in the place before) but between all the sleepy or hungry babies there was a little black mischievous boy hoping around and approaching people who gave my finger little kisses and I just couldn't leave him there. We didn't have any boxes or cages to carry him in so he got to pee on my lap on the way home lol
The first time he licked me after that day, something I thought would take ages to happen after lengthy Bunny Research(tm) telling me so, was maybe within a few days or a week, but what made the moment as special as it was for me was the fact I was sitting on the ground, having a breakdown, crying my eyes out. I have a really hard time using the word love to others because I'm never sure of my feelings and I don't want to say it without meaning, but from then on I had never been so sure about how much I loved him.
I have a lot of other stories like that. He helped me learn a lot about myself. He gave me company at my worst. I missed him so much when I had to stop allowing him on the bed to take a nap with me because one day he just decided peeing there was okay. I laid down on the floor on the most uncomfortable positions for the longest time because he had fallen asleep in my arms. I did that this morning, after I was told he might not make it when we went to see the vet today. It didn't even feel like anything was wrong, really. I kinda thought maybe we shouldn't go and I could keep doing that tomorrow. And the day after. And the next. But every time he woke up and shuffled around it was so easy for me to tell he was uncomfortable, trying to find a way to lay down in a way that would ease the pain. He didn't look any different to most people, but I memorized every single kind of motion he ever did.
And it's funny to think that he knew me the same way. He knew exactly what me shutting off the computer sounded like and that it was the perfect time to beg for snacks and attention. He knew when I was hiding something for him. He knew exactly where I walked so he could leave the god damned piss traps in the way when he was mad at me. He knew that if he kept poking his nose out the fence long enough I'd come back eventually to pet him more even if I had already walked all the way to my bed and laid down. And he knew that he could come to me for comfort whenever he felt scared or in pain. He trusted me so much and that meant the world to me.
Just to add one weird, maybe funny thing that's gonna keep me pondering forever; one day, years ago, I wished that I could be the one to take any pain he'd ever feel. Since then, I kind of took note that we'd have our sickest days together, and often in similar ways. It's most likely confirmation bias, but I do like to think I did manage to take some of his pain from him.
Well. My plan was just to share the news and go on with my day. Think about stuff. Couldn't keep from writing this much, though, so I just decided to let it all out anyway.
Again, I don't want any comfort. I will always love him, the things he taught me, and the memories I'm blessed with. I will be okay.
I want the thought of him to keep bringing joy into my life, because that's the thing he's always been the best at. The second best was destroying specifically videogame related cables.
heres some shenanigans to brighten up the mood :]

So Baldur's Gate 3 has now fully released, and it kinda fucks?
Okay more than kinda, Baldur's Gate 3 should be the new standard for larger studios in terms of quality and, more importantly, how they treat players. I can't believe I'm saying that about a D&D game.
So for context to that last bit: I'm super fucking jaded on D&D. I've pretty much jumped ship entirely to any other TTRPG (namely Pathfinder 2e) because I hate how Wizards of the Coast have handled D&D 5e and how they treat their customers.
I fucking love Baldur's Gate 3. It's still got some of the D&D things I'm not overly fond of, but that's a personal taste thing, and overall this game fucking rules. Larian is really out here just making D&D a more fun experience than the actual Wizards of the Coast, it's honestly kinda wild.
But more than just in the context of "a D&D game" I want to talk about Baldur's Gate 3 in the larger scope of videogames as a whole, primarily in the triple A scene. There's a reason Baldur's Gate 3 is doing so well and why it's very quickly become so beloved, and it's not just because of the bear sex. That reason can be largely boiled down to "Larian respects their playerbase, and more importantly respects their money." Too often we're seeing games from big triple A companies that already have way too much fucking money just being absolutely filled beyond the brim with monetisation for something that's likely already $90-100 AUD. Or worse: games that borderline lie to you about how much they cost, Destiny 2 I'm fucking looking at you and your "genuinely the worst monetisation I have seen in a game." Or just straight up gacha games that are purpose built to fuck you out of your money and use similar tricks that the gambling industry uses to make money.
But Baldur's Gate 3? Pay the full price up front, and you get a full game. There's no hidden "gotcha!" monetisation, no battlepasses, no rotating digital storefront, no fake "premium" currency, no "but it's only cosmetic" microtransactions. I'm not even gonna gripe against their pre-order stuff like I normally would, because you could actually play the game before it was released. Baldur's Gate 3 was in Early Access for literal years before it fully released, and it used that time quite well! It's fascinating seeing where it came from and how much has changed since then. But more importantly: if you "pre-ordered" the game (read: buy it in Early Access) you could still play the game, you still immediately got something for your money. If you didn't like it, you could still refund it if you wanted to. As a nice little bonus: the game mostly just works! It's not perfect, there's some little oddities here and there, but I haven't had the game break yet. But then again, I'm one of the people who somehow managed to have a pretty bug-free Cyberpunk 2077 experience at launch, so who knows.
And plus it comes with couch co-op! Why is that so rare these days?? It feels like the only games you can really sit down with and play with friends these days are party games.
Of course, Baldur's Gate 3 isn't truly alone here. Horizon Zero Dawn/Forbidden West have come out as full games with no monetisation BS and working fine, albeit stuck to PlayStation for a long time before releasing elsewhere (although BG3 is currently PC exclusive, though that should change next month). God of War, while I've not personally played, I haven't heard anything egregious about it. Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is such a fun time, but at $125 AUD it's a hard sell, even knowing all the work that went into it (Though that did drop to just $95 AUD on PC). I'm even going to give Cyberpunk 2077 an honourable mention, because if you had a computer that could run it at launch it was still a damn good time. Though that one unfortunately came at the cost of "should never have been released on last gen consoles" and "worker abuse through crunch."
But all of those examples have the "pre-order to maybe get something" issue that Baldur's Gate 3 avoided through its Early Access launch. You also can't really share those games with friends. You can maybe let a friend borrow the game and then talk about it after you've both finished it in your own time, but that's kinda like watching a movie separately and then talking about it. It's just not the same. That's not even mentioning how small that list is. I'd say it's just single player games, but both Bethesda and Ubisoft have shown even they're not safe.
I haven't seen any game from a large studio respect the player as much as I have with Larian and Baldur's Gate 3. I definitely don't feel bad paying full price for this one. Once they're wrapped up with BG3, I don't suppose I could bribe them to make a Pathfinder game? Pretty please? Already like halfway there with Divinity: Original Sin 2!
