#well #mostly because i think the methodology and data selection is shit #but since my professor didn't comment on it I'll go with it #i have until friday #genuinely considering just asking him to register it in April #but i really don't want to lose this semester #idk #i made peace with failing my term papers #i didn't really care for the topic anyway #it's quite embarrassing to have to message my lecturer about it #but what can you do #god i just want to get this done #fuck it #I'll finish until Friday #i mean I'll message my professor about whether he's still willing to grade it until may #since i haven't heard from him again in over a week #I'm afraid he might have changed his mind #because i handed in my proposal too late #but in that case i need to tell him to register it in April #because then I'd actually put some more work into it #whatever #academic misery #gotta keep writing (:

#i woke up this morning and wrote 900 words on a short fic before getting out of bed to go to work #very productive half an hour #i had an idea and i started typing #it's 1400 words now and will probably stay relatively short #if I can i'll try to post it by this weekend #i'm busy thursday saturday and sunday though in addition to regular work #so maybe not #or i take a half day on friday just to finish this fic - i'm not above it #the other one i've been working on for several weeks and it's about 11k words now #not going to start posting that one until the season is properly over #snowpiercer

Ok I have a plan. I'm going to download the sims 2. But I'm not allowed to play it until I finish the day's responsibilities. This will be true for... however long I have the urge to play sims, I guess.

For today, I've already started my laundry. If I want to play sims today, I will need to finish laundry, finish my readings, and do one part each for my essay exam and data governance midterm.

Which is... kind of a lot to get done in 7 hours. But who knows!!! Maybe I can!!!!

#speculation nation #if i cant tho i will have to wait until tomorrow.#in which case. the responsibilities will be to finish the Second parts for the essay exam and midterm.#if i dont finish both the first things today it wont be enough to finish them tomorrow. i need to finish the Second parts (and the first)#in order to play sims 2 tomorrow.#and tuesday will be the third parts and wednesday will be the fourth parts. just in time for both of them to be due on thursday.#in this way im hoping to maybe give extra motivation for finishing. while also not denying myself joy outright.#bc i think the listlessness has also been working against me. that was the problem with friday.#have a goal... a Reward to work towards... sims 2 on the pc.......#i'll probably add in some chores to the responsibilities this week too but not too much. dont wanna overwork myself.#really is so unfortunate that i have Both of these due on thursday. so much work....

being a slow crocheter is like. okay. one cardigan will take me at least sixty hours of work, and I might have to learn how to do flat granny stitching for the sleeves to avoid making more granny squares, but I'll have something cute to wear when all is said and done??

and then that eventually spirals into "Okay but I need to learn how to make tank tops so that I can make one to match the cardigan, and then I also hope I have enough left of my purple yarn so that I can make the waistband for a pair of shorts bc I want to have a whole set for when it gets warm!!" even though it's already warm and I might just be devoting literal hours of work into all of this for the next ten days so that I can have this entire thing done by June 1st

Some sort of short fic exchange for non-juggernaut WN ships or some funky comment fic place or a capslock community for all your unhinged commentary needs or a WN bingo... I don't know, something.
