So aki is canonly now 6ft (since it’s stated 182cm, which is 6ft and is approximately 182.88) or 6’2/6’3? I’m so confused because so many articles and stuff claim that he’s 6’2. I can’t tell what’s even real atp 😭 either way he’s still our tall beloved husband

dear anon, I shall explain

so during the chainsaw man exhibition that's being held right now, they've showed a lot of concept arts from the creation of the anime, and one of them lists the heights mappa has decided of the characters — it says aki is 182cm, or about 5'11"

however, in fujimoto's original concept art of aki, his height is listed as 190cm, which is about 6'3".

#so basically.... mappa shrunk him #to be honest I think the heights mappa chose are good #I have no problem believing any of them #it's just that fujimoto is very inconsistent about the characters heights in the manga lol #sometimes the characters are taller sometimes they are shorter #there are several points where kishibe is like a head taller than aki #and then points where they are close to the same height #and with angel sometimes he comes up to aki's shoulders sometimes he only reaches his chest #I'll be sticking with the original description of aki as 6'3 because it makes the most sense to me #like when I think of aki as compared to all the other characters #aki is 6'3 so.... angel is like 5'1... kishibe and yoshida are 6'5.... himeno is 5'9.... makima is 5'8 #also technically 190 cm is 6'2 but it's close enough to 6'3 that I round up to be nice to him.#also 6'3 is hot so that's why he's 6'3 to me. just being honest #ask mags
